(I'll try to do his later.)
The Essential Knowledge
Species: Human, but a bit of elven ancestry.
Age: 28
Appearance: He stands at a towering 6'5" with obvious muscles under his open jacket, coming from working on other things on the ship and fighting. His skin is fair (not as pale as the picture), only bordering on tan due to spending more time belowdecks, making remedies and medicines. His hair his a dark mess, with bangs somewhat falling into his eyes and looking like he just got out of bed. His eyes are really his only physical attribute changed by his elven blood, they shine a light, almost reddish purple.
He tends to wear black clothing which include a blackened leather jacket that he keeps partly open, black trousers kept up with rope and tucked into grey boots. He wears black gloves, fingerless so he can still work with his medicines, and he has several piercings in his ears (three in his left, and two in his right), all are silver hoops accept the lowest left, which is a cross. And he also has on a necklace, which used to be his mother's that he keeps for good luck.
Personaily: He seems a bit quiter than most pirates, not as chatty or excitable. But that's not quite true. It's just that his appearance tends to ward off peole from trying to get too close to him, therefore he doesn't talk to many people. Truth is, he looks big and dark but he's probably one of the most friendly people out there. He loves to smile and have a good laugh with others, and enjoys helping people, especially if it means he could save a life. He wouldn't harm an innocent if threatened and is loyal and caring for friends and those he works with. But despite this, he will not hesitate to cause serious damage or immense pain if the people he cares for are hurt.
Your Opinion Matter
Which side are you on?: "I suppose... the pirates? I am a pirate after all, and it's not like passerby mermaids have been too friendly. The only mermaid I actually know isn't really on a side anyway."
How do you see the war?: "I don't think it's the best thing we could be doing, but neither side is very cooperative. It might not be the healthiest way to solve things for each side, but if we keep fighting like this it might be the quickest, maybe the easiest."
Are you captain or crew?: Crew
Who are your crew?: He's part of Captain Jack Dahnovin's crew.
Whose in your family?: "My father was a pirate, and a great one. He never spilled innocent blood. But I never knew him, I was only ever told about him by my mother. And she only raised me until I was 18, when she died of illness. There is this mermaid I know, Nerida, and she's like a younger... very protective sister of mine."
What's your position?: "I'm the doctor of the crew. I take care of the crew like they're a second family and sometimes heal Nerida when she needs it too. But just because I'm the doctor doesn't mean I won't fight."
Tell us about your history: Edmund grew up fairly normally. he never knew his father due to his father being a pirate, and it was unknown whther he was alive or not. He never minded though because his mother, who was a quarter elf, told him plenty of stories of his father. He learned of how he only pillaged villages that wouldn't miss what was taken much, how he never spilt innocent blood, and only sank other ships if it were needed. Throughout his life, he'd wanted to become a pirate, but didn't want to leave his mother unless it was needed, for she always seemed a bit ill. He learned how to heal using herbs, minerals, and other methods from his mother, and with the elf blood in his veins it almost came naturally.
By age thirteen, he'd already become one of the top trouble makers of his small village despite being one of the quietest children there. That same year, he was having trouble with a few of the othr boys and so went to the beach to be alone and escape their harsh words. He did not expect what he found. A young memaid girl a few years younger than him had washed ashore, and on her bracelet was a name, Nerida Sylvette. She seemed weak and injured, and hadn't yet regained consciousness. He ended up carrying her to a large pond he had behind his house where he and his mother grew aquatic plants and herbs for healing. He began mending her wounds even before she woke up, but when her eyes opened and they began talking they quickly became friends. Along the time he spent caring for her a stronger bond formed, one of a sister and brother, and when his mother found out about the mermaid in their pond they all became a sort of family.
Once Nerida was healthy enough to go out on her own, Edmund carried her back out to sea, but she didn't leave. Instead, she stayed living near Edmund and his mother, the two of them often visiting the young mermaid. This continued for five years. But then when Edmund was 18, his mother had became so ill that her body just couldn't hold on anymore, and she passed away. With the passing of his mother, Edmund took some of his things after burying her and went to start life as a pirate. Soon enough, Edmund found a place as doctor, or "Doc" as some crew mebers call him, on Captain Jack Dahnovin's ship with Nerida always somewhere around.
