My name was given to me by my father who took inspiration from the words of his siblings. Although Mikael and I share no blood, his last name is the name of my father's and therefore it is a name of mine.
Like my father I am an Original Hybrid, but am a completely different breed of hybrid. My father is the Original Vampire-Werewolf Hybrid; I am an Original Werewolf-Vampire-Witch Hybrid. I inherited my werewolf gene from both of my parents while my vampire and witch legacy come from my father who along with being the Original Hybrid is the son of the Original Witch. As a member of the Labonair line I am also werewolf royalty. I am a member of the Mikaelson Family, the Labonair Family, and the North East Atlantic Pack. As far as I know I have a connection to four supernatural groups: the New Orleans Coven, the Crescent Wolf Clan, the North East Atlantic Pack and the Original Vampires."

Date of Birth & Age
Hope was born on May 2, 2012. At the start of the role-play she is sixteen years old.
Sexuality
Heterosexual
Significant Sires
β’ Dwayne (deceased) - Dwayne, according to Tyler Lockwood was willing to sacrifice himself in order to test the theory that Hope (while still unborn at the time) could create and sire hybrids. This theory was proven to be fact as Hope's blood did turn Dwayne into a hybrid. He was killed shortly after by Tyler because he was sired to Hayley through the blood of the unborn child.
β’ Hayley Marshall (undead) - Hayley was killed by Monique Deveraux immediately after giving birth. Because she died with Hope's blood in her system, she came back in transition. After drinking a small drop of Hope's blood, she successfully became a Hybrid.
β’ Rosetta Juarez (undead) - Hope's mother's half sister. Elijah is the one who brought her into the fold and introduced her to the family. It was Klaus' idea to turn Rosetta into a hybrid as it would make her strong enough to protect her niece from whatever dangers happened to come for the littlest wolf. Because Klaus couldn't turn her they used Hope's blood.
Hope has inherited her werewolf gene from both her parents which makes her a werewolf, but also a witch and a vampire as her father is half-vampire, half-werewolf, being the original hybrid, and her grandmother is the original witch. A living enigma, Hope, is a loophole of nature. Witches are said to be the Keepers of the Balance and Servants of Nature. Immortality is a sin against nature as it goes against the natural order of life. Which is why when a witch is turned into a vampire they lose they're magic. Vampires are seen as abomination of nature because they cheat death and gain immortality. Hybrids like vampires, are also seen as an abomination of nature, because they too cheat death and gain immortality. The only other supernatural creature outside of witches that don't upset the balance of nature are werewolves, because unlike vampires and hybrids they are not immortal creatures. What makes Hope different than other hybrids is the fact that she is not undead; she's alive. Unlike other vampires, she gained vampirism by following the natural course of nature (being born), so many rules of nature failed on her. Hope is a living hybrid so her vampire and witch genes can co-exist in peace, which is why she can practice magic.
As the world's firstborn Hybrid, the extent and limits of Hope's powers and abilities are unknown. Regardless, Hope has proven to be an exponentially unique being. Displaying magic as an infant, Hope is far from your average run-of-the-mill witch. Things like the full moon, rage and her vampirism augment her strength. Her vampirism has noticeably not only made her grow physically stronger but it has always strengthened her magic. Which giving the fact that she was able to turn a car off and than back on again at six months old is a real testament to power of her magic. Like the members of her Original Family, Hope can compel not only humans but vampires too; as well as werewolves, witches and other hybrids. The only people she cannot compel are her father, aunt Rebekah and uncle Elijah. Unless of course the said person she is attempting to compel is wearing vervain or has it in their system. Just like her father, Hope has the ability to sire hybrids. Unlike her father, Hope doesn't need the blood of a human doppelgΓ€nger to do so. Hope's tribrid blood is a powerful binding agent like doppelgΓ€nger blood. This eliminates the need of doppelgΓ€nger blood during transition, meaning that Hope only needs her own blood to make hybrids. Hybrids turned by Hope will be sired to Hope the same way Klaus' hybrids were sired to him. If Hope was to ever die all hybrids and vampires created by her will in turn die along with her. Feeding is another thing that makes Hope stronger, but because she is a living hybrid, feeding for her is optional. Unlike with other vampires and hybrids, Hope won't desiccate if she chose to never feed. Blood has the same effect on her as it does other vampires and hybrids in the sense that she will become stronger and it speeds up her healing process. However, she doesn't crave it or need it. While she is far younger than the members of her family she is on par with the likes of her family in regards to things like strength, speed, agility, durability, ect. In truth she actually surpasses her father.
Weaknesses
Certain weaknesses Hope inherited and others failed on her because of her uniqueness. For one, Hope doesn't need an invitation to enter someone's home like vampires and hybrids. Because she is a living person she can own property and any property that she owns other vampires and hybrids will not be able to enter without her inviting them in. Wolfsbane and Vervain doesn't weakness her but it does burn when it makes contact with her skin. Although she heals rather quickly. She has all the weaknesses of a witch outside of the mortality. Because she is the first of her kind no one truly knows for sure if she is in fact immortal, but it is believed that when she hits maturity she will stop aging.
Anyways, when you fast forward to a couple of decades later, you'd find that my mom did marry Jackson. There is this ceremony known as the Unification Ritual. How the ritual works is a shaman marries two Alphas of different packs together. Once the ritual has been performed, any wolf present at the ceremony is endowed with the powers of each alpha, such as speed, strength et cetera, et cetera. Around this time there was this crazy aunt of mine who, like many members of the Mikaelson family, wanted me dead. My parents wanted an army to protect me and to get that my mother married her betrothed. The Crescent Wolves gained the ability to have full control of their abilities which includes lycanthrope enhancement, they can turn at free will and are stronger, faster and more dominant than regular werewolves. They gained the power that they craved and my mother gained an army that would fight to protect an infant me.
Now if you feel like my mother's side of the family is complicated than I don't know how you'll feel about my father's. On my father's side of the family I have ties to the North East Atlantic Pack and the Mikaelson Family, i.e the Original Family. On this side of the family you will basically find every supernatural creature you can find. My grandmother Esther, before she became a vampire, was the Original Witch. She is responsible for the whole vampire species. After her youngest child, Henrik, was killed by a pack of werewolves she turned her remaining children and her husband Mikael into the first vampires ever. Unlike normal vampires, Original Vampires are indestructible and cannot be killed by anything on earth aside from the White Oak Stake or temporarily neutralized by the White Oak Ash Dagger. This was her way of protecting her family.
In the beginning there were six Original Vampires; Mikael, Finn, uncle Elijah, uncle Kol, aunt Rebekah and my father Klaus. My family are known as legends in the supernatural world, especially amongst witches and vampires. Nowadays, there are only three Original Vampires left in existence; Mikael, uncle Elijah and aunt Rebekah. My uncle Kol is now a witch, my father is the Original Hybrid and Finn is dead. Now, the Mikaelson family tree of crazy doesn't stop there. As I already said my grandmother Esther was turned into a vampire. What I didn't mention was the fact that she's dead and I am extremely happy about this. Might sound cruel but this woman is literally the cause of everything bad that has ever happened to the Mikaleson family. On one hand I have to thank her because if it wasn't for all of her bad choices I wouldn't be here today. However, that doesn't change the fact that I have an immense hatred for this woman.
Before my batshit crazy grandmother defied the laws of nature and created vampirism, she made a pact with her even crazy sister, allowing her to take not only her first born but the first born of every generation of her line in return for fertility. This pact made between two batshit crazy women led to Esther lying to Mikael about their daughter Freya who she claimed died of plague but in truth was pretty much kidnapped by her sister. I'm not gonna get into all the nitty gritty here but basically both of the crazy ladies are dead and Freya is still alive and living in New Orleans.
My connect to the North East Atlantic Pack also has to do with Esther unsurprisingly. She cheated on Mikael with my grandfather Ansel and had my father Klaus. Oh course because she's a deceitful bitch she made Mikael think that Klaus was his. But, as they say 'what done in the dark will come to light' and her turning my father and the rest of her family into vampires turned my father into a hybrid. Obviously, Mikael wasn't a werewolf which meant that Klaus couldn't be his son. That led to Mikael going all apeshit and killing not only my father's father but he's entire pack. Or so he thought. The North East Atlantic pack is my father's kin and therefore my kin. Ansel was the alpha of the North East Atlantic pack which as his only heir makes my father the alpha of the North East Atlantic pack. However, like in the case of my mother, my dad is technically "undead" which makes me their alpha but let's not get into that."
Esther is no better than her wretched husband. She allowed for her children to be abused and did nothing out of her own fear. She was a hypocrite who claimed to be a servant of nature and yet spit in face of nature every chance she got. When fate said she wouldn't have children she went against it and got her sister Dahlia to cast a fertility spell that made her barren womb fertile. When her youngest child was killed by werewolves she allowed her husband to convince to go against nature and she turned what remained of her family into immortals. Esther was a selfish woman and for all of her selfish decisions her family paid the price. In return for fertility a curse was put on the first born of every generation of her line that Dahlia would come for them and take them away. When she casted her version of the Immortality Spell, the Spirits retaliated against her, and she unknowingly transformed them into the first vampires forever. After my father killed her, Esther's spirit was forced to watch her children wreak havoc on the world from the Other Side and feel the pain of every victim as nature's way of punishing her for her actions.
Both Mikael and Esther are responsible for what they're family became and both became monsters in they're own right. They gave they're children immortal to protect them only to become the biggest threat to their lives. Mikael spending his entire immortal life tracking and hunting my father and in turn his own flesh and blood after my father killed Esther. And Esther plotting and scheming on the Other Side trying to find a way to punish and "cleanse" the children that she herself cursed. Mikael and Esther. A match made in hell."
By the time Hope was born, the supernatural situation in the city had deteriorated to the point of all-out war between the Original Vampires, non-original vampires, witches, werewolves and mortal factions. Hope's parents along with Elijah, her paternal uncle, knew that she would be under constant threat from these enemies. Wanting a happy life for their daughter, Hayley and Klaus concluded that it would be best if she was not raised in the embattled city. The first step to achieving this goal was to convince the world that their newborn child had died on the day she was born. In order to ensure Hope's safety, Klaus then called upon Rebekah - who, despite their troubled history, he trusted above all others - to take and raise his daughter in secret, far away from those that would see her dead. She gladly did so, promising Klaus that Hope would be happy.
Kol, Hope's other paternal uncle, has protected her since the moment her learned of her existence, Rebekah would give her life to make sure that no harm comes to Hope, and Elijah is her protector. He has sworn to protect her and care for her no matter what. He loves her dearly, and all he wants is his family to be together, happy and most importantly safe. He would destroy all who dared to harm his niece.
I have never met anyone as incredibly knowledgeable in the arts of witchcraft and magic then my wily mentor and teacher; uncle Kol. If they're is one person that my father hates to leave me alone with it is uncle Kol. He has an act for bringing out ones inner darkest and when you get us to together we just have a way of getting into ... "youth misadventures" as he would put it. Uncle Kol knows how to have fun. And while the fun he sometimes chooses to get into is somewhat troublesome, I feel like he has the upmost trust in me and my capabilities. Everyone else is so focused on protecting me and keeping me safe that they don't allow me to live. With uncle Kol it's different. He protects me, but he also knows and trusts that I can handle and protect myself. I don't feel like a child when am with him.
Don't let the tux fool you. My uncle Elijah is an Original and a very deadly one. There are many who would say that my father is the most fearsome of the Originals but I would beg to differ. There is something that is truly chilling about the noble Elijah. Fortunately, the darker side of my uncle is something that I myself have never truly experience or have had to be frightful of. The Robin to my father's Batman. Growing up I always looked at my uncle Elijah as a superhero. Whenever predicament I happened to find myself in my uncle somehow would always be there to protect me. I love my aunt and uncles dearly. I don't know where I'd be without them."
The king, in his sorrow, turned away from the world. The castle closed its doors, and the kingdom fell. Some say that the only light that shines in the castle illuminates the shadow of the once majestic king in the room meant for his child. But, as the ruthless beasts took rule over the fallen king's realm, little did they know that he and his brother would not rest until their enemies were vanquished. For, they believed that one day, they would heal their kingdom and bring their precious princess home, so that she might live happily ever after.
It seems to me that New Orleans was always a battleground long before the days of my birth. Centuries after running away from New Orleans out of fear of their Mikael, my family, the Original family returned to New Orleans. That found my brother Marcel to be the King of The French Quarter of New Orleans. During that time the vampires were in power, the witches coward in fear, the wolves of the Bayou were cursed and the humans were for the most part blissfully unaware of all the supernatural mayhem.
Of course leave it to my father, Niklaus Mikaelson and his Original siblings, Elijah and Rebekah, to turn all of Marcellus three centuries of hard work upside down. Through a chain of events that started after my family returned, the vampires fell from power and the wolves and witches all fought to regain the power that they'd lose so long ago. Needlessly to say there was chaos, mayhem and murdered brewing practical every other day. Throw a pregnant werewolf who was carrying the hybrid miracle baby that witches prophesied would be the end to their entire race and you can imagine that things were far from peaceful.
It would take me a least a week to try and delve into all the gritty details of war amongst the fractions of New Orleans, so I just skip months ahead to where things really hit their boiling point and I was nearly killed in the process. Now, at this time my father and brother weren't exactly on the same page. In fact, far from. It had turned out that a century or two in the pass my brother Marcel and aunt Rebekah had brought Mikael to New Orleans in some plot that I figured was suppose to chase my father away and leave them to live happily ever after. Obviously, things didn't end the way they'd plan and I said all of this to say that my aunt Rebekah had since left New Orleans and Marcel had been exiled to the outskirts of the city. My father and Marcel may share no blood but when it comes to their ambitions they are one in the same.
Anyways, getting back on track here, my father who had once wanted to be King of the Vampires had swayed to the cause of wolves. My mother's due date was nearing closer and closer as the days passed and my father had really begun to think about how he wanted things to be once I came into the world. He believed that the werewolves' family values and clan loyalty would always keep me safe, unlike his fellow vampires, who he believed to be the antithesis of family loyalty. In the time that my mother carried me, my father had met the kin of the blood father that he had never known and I believe after a thousand years of living life as a vampire he was finally starting to embraced his inner wolf. My opinion but it is one that I truly believe. Regardless of what in fact inspired his want to side with the wolves it was this that led to the moonlight rings.
The counterpart to daylight rings, where as daylight rings make vampires immune to the effects of the sun, moonlight rings make wolves immune to that of the moon. When a vampire posses a daylight ring they are free to walk in the light of the sun and when werewolves wear moonlight rings they are no longer faced to turn with every passing full moon. Well it cannot be said if it is true, my father believed that Esther made a moonlight ring for his biological father. Either way this sparked in idea in my father's head to gain favor with the wolves. He offered to have moonlight rings made for the wolves of the Crescent Clan so that they would no longer be cursed to the full moon and in exchange the wolves would protect me as one of their own once I was born. Jackson Kenner, who was at that time the Alpha of the Crescent Wolf Clan and my mother's betrothed agreed to this.
Now while my father plans for the wolves seemed to be coming together; the vampires and witches were plotting. Marcel, although casted out of the city was still scheming and trying to find a way to get his city back. Which obviously if my father got what he wanted was going to make that fairly impossible. Meanwhile, the witches were also in the works of trying to gain more power. I feel like this is a good time to mention the Harvest ritual. In short, this sacrificial ritual is performed every three hundred years by the witches of the French Quarter coven as a means of strengthening the connection between the living witches of New Orleans and their deceased ancestors, from whom they draw their power. The Harvest ritual involves appeasing the witches' ancestors by giving them an offering of power in exchange for the ancestors strengthening the coven's connection to their magic, which weakens over time.
The offering is meant to prove the coven's faith, not only in the Harvest ritual, but in the ancestors themselves and the ancestral magic that their coven's witches, living and dead, practice. To prove this faith, the coven sacrifices four young witch girls who are put in a kind of limbo for the duration of the Harvest ritual. Then, the coven is rewarded by the ancestors for their faith and their offering by resurrecting the four girls and making the coven's connection to their ancestors' magic even more powerful for the following three centuries, until the ritual is to be performed again. Due to some witchery done by this witch by the name Celeste Dubois, once the ritual was finally completed by Sophie Deveraux, the magical power was somehow siphoned away by Celeste, who, unbeknownst to anyone, was possessing another witch's body. Celeste used this power so she could resurrect three other powerful witches-- Papa Tunde, Bastianna, and Genevieve--- and give herself an additional boost in power as well, which ultimately resulted in the four witches taking the places of the four Harvest girls who were meant to be resurrected after the Reaping was completed. Eventually, every which that was resurrected died bring back on of the four Harvest girls; expect Genevieve. In order for the French Quarter coven to harness the full power of the Harvest ritual they needed to kill Genevieve, which in turn would resurrect Cassie and finally complete the Reaping. Before the coven could kill Genevieve she received a message from the Ancestors: they would allow Genevieve to keep her life, but in return, they wanted another offering in her place-- they wanted me. According to Genevieve, my power would fuel the coven's power for centuries; which is why the ancestors decreed that I would not live as I was to be consecrated amongst them.
It is this decreed that leads to everything else that unfolds. Oblivious to the deal that Genevieve had made with the ancestors, my father, attempted to make a deal with her. With spells from Esther's grimoire he asked that she make him enhanced moonlight rings. The enhancements made to the rings would not only make it so that the werewolves didn't have to change on the full moon but it would give the wolves full access to their potential; speed, strength, agility, along with allowing them the venom of the werewolf bite; making them lethal to vampires all the time. In exchange for the rings and her sworn loyalty to him, he offered her Esther's grimoire and his sworn protection from those who wished to harm her. In an act of deceit she accepted his offer.
As daylight rings need the sun's light to be created; moonlight rings need the light of a full moon to work. My father also learnt that the spelled required black kyanite stones to be made and he sent Jackson and other wolf to obtain enough of the stones to make rings for the bayou werewolves. However, on they're way back with the stones they were napped by Marcel and his guys, who tortured them until Jackson made a deal and told Marcel of the moonlight rings and my father's plan for them. Marcel left Jackson alive but he stole the stones which made my father have to resort to his backup plan. Which enlisted a woman by the name of Francesca Correa, a known mobster and representative of the Human Faction, into helping him obtain more stones. Francesca had claimed that getting my father the stones was her way of solidifying her allegiance with my family. Then she made the suggestion of the Originals and the humans combining their efforts against Marcel, to which the Mikaelson brothers foolishly agreed. I have to say that this was one occasion that my father should have heard my mother out as she has said that she had a bad feeling about that Francesca women from the beginning. However, I know how my father can be when he sees everything working out in his schemes so am not surprised that he didn't listen to my mother's womanly intuition.
When the full moon began, Genevieve started the spell, which she claimed required the blood of an un-triggered werewolf. With no un-triggered wolves in proximity and my father being unwilling to put my mother and an unborn me in harms way, he offered himself as he was a hybrid which meant he could control when he turned. While the spell was in progress, Marcel and his vampires invaded the compound in an attempt to stop the production of the moonlight rings, knowing that if they succeed, it would more than likely result in the deaths of all the New Orleans vampires. My father ended up chasing after Marcel, which I can only envision as being some kind of twisted game of cat and mouse. This left my uncle Elijah to deal with the other vampires of Marcel's army. Inside the compound, my mother and Francesca had stayed with Genevieve as they awaited for her to finish the spell. When the spell was completed, the double-cross came to light as Genevieve gave the stones to Francesca instead of my mother. As it would so happen Francesca Correa was not really Francesca Correa. She was in truth Francesca Guerrera, and Francesca, as well as the rest of her family, were werewolves from the Guerrera werewolf bloodline, who have been pretending to be human. Killing her bodyguard, her eyes turned the yellow of a wolf and she revealed that she had been waiting until she had a moonlight ring to trigger her curse.
Using her magic to render my mother unconscious, it was made clear that Genevieve and Francesca have been working together the whole time. Francesca gave the remaining moonlight stones out to her brothers, who then killed their own bodyguards triggering their curses. Since they had the means to control their transformation, Francesca and her brothers used them to bite every vampire who invaded the compound, as well as my uncle Elijah. Many of the vampires died in the struggle, and those who didn't immediately die were left infected and on borrowed time.
Meanwhile, as chaos was raging at the compound my father and Marcel were fighting each other in the street. During the duration of their fight my father bites Marcel to kill him but at that moment, the werewolves call on the stones to prevent their transformation and drain him of his strength. Marcel escapes and Genevieve later finds my weakened father and reveals to him what she did: using his blood as a power source, so that, any werewolf who had one of the moonlight stones that Genevieve enchanted with his blood would draw on his strength in order to control their werewolf transformations.
This in result making him incredibly weak and famished, which eventually would make him more bloodthirsty and feral. It also caused him great pain. She then knocked him out as she had my mother and when he awoke she was gone. She had left him and gathered her witches who took my mother and dragged her to the St. Anne's Church.
It was my mother's screams of terror that lead my father to the church where my mother had gone into early labor because of the trauma she had endured during her kidnapping. He had tried to save us from the witches, but he was weak and he ended up being magical pinned to the wall of the church. It was on that wall that he witnessed my birth into the world. After my mother pushed me out into the world, Genevieve allowed my mother to hold me for a brief moment before a young witch by the name of Monique Deveraux slit her throat. My father could do nothing but cry out and watch in shock as my mother bled to her death below him. Taking me they snapped my father's neck and left the church.
When my uncle finally awoke and found his way to the church he found my father sitting my mother's lifeless body and he knew that he was too late. My mother was gone. However, I was not. I was taken but I wasn't dead yet, and before they lost us both the Mikaelson men headed after so treacherous witches. The Lafayette Cemetery is where the ancestors are buried and where both the Harvest ritual and the Reaping had taken place; which is why it was the place my father and uncle immediately went to find me. Unfortunately for them, they witches had casted a spell that trapped my father and uncle in this illusion that made the cemetery seem like an endless maze. It wasn't until my mother, undead and in transition, found them in the cemetery and used her bond to me to led them all to the witches.
Arriving seconds before Genevieve almost stabbed me to death with a athame; a fight ensued between my family who fought to save and the witches who fought to sacrifice me for power. My family had almost lost in this battle, but thanks to Marcel, who at the time was still dying from my father's hybrid bite mind you, arrived and seeing Monique about to kill me ( and despite having a rule against hurting children), threw the Devil's Star at Monique, which lodged itself in her stomach and caused her to die of exsanguination from all the cuts on her body. Which means that in the end, while it had been a group effort on the family's part; it was Marcellus who saved my life that day.
After killing Genevieve for attempting to sacrifice me in exchange for her own life, my family returned to the compound to do drama control. In the last words she spoke before her death Genevieve told that it was Esther who had decreed that I must be killed. The witches weren't going to stop hunting for me, because me and my mother are considered werewolf royalty my father also believed that the Guerrera wolves also posed a threat. In the end it was decided by my parents that they would let the world think I had died the same day I had been born. They decided to send me away with my aunt Rebekah while they stayed behind to clean up their mess and deal with their enemies. I can't imagined how hard it must have been for my parents to do what they did.
This scheme didn't fool people for long as within six months I was right back in New Orleans. My mother married Jackson Kenner in this ceremony known the the unification ritual as a way of getting a super-wolf army as a means to protect me. Many events followed this wedding and in the end my family stood victorious at the end of this family war.
An alluring beauty, Hope's silky light olive skin is smoother than a baby's bottom and blemish free. Her stunning and captivating blue eyes are one of her trademark features along with her luscious, curvy lips. Hayley's hair is a chocolate brown color, Klaus's is dirty blond and Hope's hair is almost like a mixture of both. Falling somewhere in the middle of the spectrum, Hope's hair is light brown with natural highlights. While she doesn't have the same color hair as her mother she does have her mother's hair texture. Her shoulder length hair is naturally a bit wavy. Because she likes the natural state of her hair she usually wears her hair loose, although for special moods and occasions she will do something "special" with it.
As a Labonair, it is no surprise that Hope has the Crescent birthmark, just like her mom. It is located on the back of her right shoulder exactly in the same spot as her mom's. Hope also has a tattoo. Her uncle Kol took her to get it last year as a birthday present. Her tattoo is in-between small and medium depending on what you consider a small tattoo to be. It is on the inside of her right wrist. She got a tattoo of a triskelion. Since she was fourteen she had always known that she would get a tattoo and she knew that when she got it she wanted it to have meaning. Because if you're going to have something permanently marked on your body it should have some kind of meaning to you outside of just being pretty. So, after months of research she decided on the triskelion. For different people the triskelion symbol can stand for and mean different things. For Hope, the symbol is a reminder of what and who she is. Growing up in New Orleans, she always felt pressure from the supernatural fractions of the city. To do something for the wolves was to stand against the witches and vampires and vice versa anyway you sliced it. Her parents are hybrids who stand by the wolves, her uncle Elijah, brother Marcel and aunt Rebekah while loyal to Klaus, also have claims to the vampires as it is what they are, and of course you have her uncle Kol who after coming back from the dead took control the witches with Davina. She felt like she could never do something for one fraction without feeling like she was betraying the others. She got the tattoo as a reminder to herself that she was not just a wolf or witch or vampire; she is all three. She's a tribrid and she could and would never be just one thing.
She has an overall feminine feel to her style. To the dismay of the men in her life, Hope is far from the insecure or self-concious type. She loves the skin that she's in and is very confident and proud to show off the body that she is blessed to have. She likes to wear skirts, shorts, dresses and tops that show off her midriff. Of course living in a place like New Orleans where the weather is consistently changing she can't always wear these things. She oftenly pairs soft, feminine pieces with leather or denim, such as belts, boots, or jeans. Hope likes to experiment with her style and mix things up. Her makeup usage is minimal, subtle daily; more for special occasions.
Hope loathes being micromanaged and restrained by heavy-handed rules β she craves her independence and freedom. Because of this need of independence, Hope is somewhat of a rebel. She tends to ignore the rules when theyβre inconvenient (andβ¦ well, most of the time, she ignores them), instead preferring to act on, and live according to, her conscience and her own values. In spite of what her family may believe Hope is fairly self-sufficient. In truth she doesn't need her family nearly as much as they believe she does, but she knows of her family's need to feel needed by her. Even before she was born Hope had enemies and when she was finally born she inherited all of her family's enemies. As a baby (while she wasn't exactly defenseless) she needed her family's protection to survive. As she got older she grew in power and independence but her family didn't evolve with her. They still see her as the baby they needed to protect at all cost, and while she may be ready to grow and somewhat distance herself from her family, she knows that they are not ready for that. This is why on one hand she is happy to be going to Mystic Falls. It puts some distance in-between herself and her family. However, at the other end of the spectrum she isn't happy about the reason behind her move to Mystic Falls. She feels like she should be back in New Orleans helping her family face the threat of the Louisiana Witches. But, as usual, her family is all about her safety and well-being and instead of utilizing her power they instead choose to send her away. Just as they had when she was a baby.
Excited by new theories and ideas; Hope wants to thoroughly explore each and every one, ever-widening her knowledge base and embracing more and more creative ideas. Her ability to discern the truth about people is remarkable; she picks up on subtle nuances in their conversational points and connects them to much larger patterns. A lesson she was taught early on is that the "one thing you can give and still keep is your word." The fractions of New Orleans all seemed to feel a certain sense of entitlement where Hope was concerned. Each feeling like she owned them something because of the part of her that was like them. Just like every other Mikaelson to ever exist it shouldn't come as a surprise that Hope has gone back on her word or used clever wordplay to create loopholes in her promises. Hope is all about self-preservation. She isn't the type of person who willing does something for nothing (unless you are a person of importance to her then she will do it for you). Her life is far too important and invaluable to just risk away on a whim. So, chances are if she has made a deal or promise to you then she is working it at an angle that is beneficial to herself. If things start to shift in way that becomes unfavorable or too much of a risk to herself (and those she cares for) she will not hesitate to find a way out of said deal or promise.
Klaus Mikaelson is one of the best strategic thinkers the world has ever known. He is the kind of person who always has a backup plan. A prime example of this being when it came to breaking his Hybrid Curse. He had napped Caroline and Tyler to use in the ceremony, and in the case that something happened to either of them he had Jules and Jenna as backups. This calculated and tactical way of thinking is something that Hope has learned from her father and is a craft that she hasn't yet mastered. To a certain extent Hope is a strategic person but she doesn't plan things out to the degree that her family's thousand years of life experiences has taught them to. When going into dangerous situations that can be planned for Hope always has a solid plan A. The problem is that unlike her father she doesn't think contingency wise. She has a plan A and if that so happens to fall through, then she immediately reverts to the 3 I's; instinct, intuitive and impulse. One of Hope's biggest strengths is her on the fly planning and improvisation. The answer to every fight-or-flight situation for Hope is to fight. She's not a runner. She's a fighter, just like her mom. Her actions often display her true feelings. Hope is good at taking charge of a bad situation if she has to, and organizing others to get the job done. If necessary, she can bark out orders. She sticks to the facts when deciding how to handle the unexpected. Hope is fearless, and why shouldn't she be? She's the only tri-brid in the world and a member of the most powerful family on earth. What does she have to fear?
What kind of things does a girl like Hope Mikaelson have a liking for? What kind of things does she have a regarded distaste of? Well, starting on the more pleasant side of things, Hope loves the city of New Orleans. She doesn't feel that there is a more fascinating city in the world. Steeped in a history of influences from Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and beyond, her home is a truly unique melting pot of culture, food, art and music. All things that within themselves she finds tantalizingly interesting. Hope has an affection for knowledge and she always has this thirst to know more. She finds that the world tends to be a thought-provoking subject in general and she just wants to see and learn all that she can. About different countries and cultures and people and just everything. The world is so much bigger than people seem to grasp and she wants to take it all in and observe it all.
She has done traveling in the past and wants to do a lot more in the future. However, no matter where she goes New Orleans will always be home to her. There is just something about the atmosphere of New Orleans that is just intoxicating and somewhat addictive. New Orleans is the Festival Capital of the World. Nowhere else on the planet is there a greater selection and wider diversity of fabulous special events than those you can experience in New Orleans. There are dozens of festivals that celebrate the city's unique food, music and multicultural heritage all year-long, The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, French Quarter Fest, Essence Music Fest and Voodoo Festival; Hope fancies the festivals that are celebrated in New Orleans every year. Outside of just festivals, Hope enjoys festivities of all sorts. Festivals, parties, feasts and just social gatherings in general.
The thing that she loves the most about New Orleans is that it is where her family home and loved ones are. She is probably apart of the most dysfunctional family in the history of dysfunctional families and yet she loves them all more than she could ever put into words. There is something about the concept and meaning of family that in spite of all the chaos and inner fighting that happens amongst her family she knows that they will suffer together till the end. "Always and Forever". "Family is Power". These are the words of her family and these words it what keeps the family together in times of the greatest despair.
As much as Hope cares for her family she cannot deny that she has an intense love-hate feeling when it comes to her family. Excluding the members of her family who she just purely hates and all just so happen to be dead and gone; she goes through bouts of hating and loving every member of her family. Which she doesn't feel is something completely uncommon amongst other people and families. While she understands the overall over-protectiveness of her family she always hates that they are that way. They make her feel suffocated and unable to care for her own well-being. Every time she takes a step towards independence there is always someone standing in her way. Reminding her of the dangers and threats that are always out there waiting for the perfect moment to strike. This is why as much as she loves being the Original Hybrid she always at times hates it. Being the daughter of Niklaus Mikaelson she knows that she could never exactly be "normal", but she sometimes feels that if she wants this great supernatural wonder her life would be a lot better. Or at least a lot simpler.
Greatest Joys in Life
Real moments are vibrant. It's the real moments that when everything begins to run together and things begin to fade that a person will remember. It is the memories and moments worth remembering that brings the biggest amounts of joy into her life. Along with the biggest heartaches and bouts of rage that in a century or two she will still be able to recall as if it happened yesterday. Being a hybrid, her loved ones and friends, art, music, culture; everything in her life brings her great moments of joy along with a range of other emotions. Her greatest joy in life because of that would have to be being able to experience life. She loves the skin that she in and she loves experiencing life as a whole. The good, the bad and the ugly. She wants to live a life to is worth remembering and telling stories about years from now. Experiences. That is Hope's greatest joy in life.
Biggest Fears
Dying. Dying is her biggest fear. She isn't afraid to die; she afraid of what happens after she dies. She is the originator of her bloodline and once she dies, everyone every turned with her blood will die within a few hours after she does. Which means that if she dies her mother and aunt Rosetta will die too. Which is the last thing that Hope wants and is deathly afraid of happening. Hope is also afraid of losing apart of herself like her father did; the Hybrid Curse. It was the Spirits that had told Esther that she needed to make Klaus' werewolf side dormant because nature wouldn't stand for such an imbalance. When the Other Side went so did the Spirits that inhabited it. When the Original Vampires were created Nature immediately gave them weaknesses as a way to balance the world out. Because she is a loophole of nature many laws of nature failed upon her and she has thus far lived without repercussions because she has in no one broken the laws of nature. However, it was the spirit of witches and Esther who cursed her father and she fears that out of their unjust fear of her that other witches will try to place a curse upon her taking away her magic or her vampiric nature or make her werewolf side dormant. She doesn't want to spend a thousand years trying to undo some care. She loves who and what she is and she never wants any part of that taking away from her.
Alignment
Chaotic Neutral
A war is brewing in New Orleans, one that Hope's family feels is too dangerous for her to be apart of. All the witches' covens of Louisiana have come together and want to kill her. Before her birth there were witches who had prophecies that basically said that she would be the end of all witches. Since her birth these visions have only gotten more frequent and out of fear the witches of Louisiana have choice to make a preempted strike. Coming together they want to use they're combined power and strength to kill Hope and anyone who tries to stop them. So, to get her out of harms way her parents sent her with her aunt Rosette and cousin Kimo to Mystic Falls.
Occupation
After being home-schooled her entire life Hope doesn't see a reason to go to Mystic Falls High seeing as she techinally already tested out of high school. However, her aunt Rosette enrolled both her and her cousin into the school as a way of keeping an eye on them.
Where do you live?
When Hope was born all of the Mikaelson family property that Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah and Kol had acquired over the years was signed over to Hope. As the only truly living member of the Mikaelson family it made this way as another security measure. In order for hybrids and vampires to get into the places that Hope own's they need her invitation. In Mystic Falls, Klaus had brought and renovated a mansion before moving to New Orleans. This is where Hope, Rosetta and Kimo are all residing.
Transportation
Hope never learned how to drive. So, she doesn't have a car currently. But she is hoping to get one eventually.
Hope was never turned. She was born what she is and she's more than happy being the only tribrid in existence. Even if it does mean that the majority of people she meets turns out to want to kill her.
What kind of blood do you feed on?
She mostly feeds from blood bags but she isn't against "fresh" blood if you know what she means.
Have you ever flipped your switch?
Never. She views vampires and hybrids who choose to flip their humanity switch as weak. They aren't strong enough to deal with emotional pain of whatever it is their going through so they take the easy way out by flipping the switch. She's never seen the point of doing it. The only thing that is does is prolong the inevitable. Because whether its a day, week, month, year, decade or century down the line a time will come when you will turn your humanity back on and then not only do you have to deal with pain of whatever it was you were running from but now you also have to deal with guilty of all the innocent people that you've hurt all because you didn't want to grieve or whatever. It's pointless.
Are you apart of a pack?
I am a member of the Crescent Wolf Clan.
Are you apart of a coven?
No.
What kind of magic do you practice?
She typically practices traditional magic but she is also familiar with the practice of kemiya as she was taught this subsection of dark magic by her uncle Kol and sacrificial magic.
When did you discover your magic/ how long have you been practicing for?
Hope performed her first spell when she was six months old. She had turned a car off and then back on after sensing danger. She's always been immensely powerful since she was baby and from the time she could read she was studying magic.
How knowledgable are you when it comes to the supernatural?
Hope doesn't feel like there is anything she doesn't know about the supernatural world she lives in. Being raised by the Original Family, Hope has received knowledgable lessons from some of the oldest people in the world. She knows about it all. She would be genuinely surprised to find that there is something that she doesn't know about the supernatural.
How do you feel about the supernatural?
Being born a mythical supernatural being Hope maybe a bit bias in her feelings but she absolutely loves the supernatural. She sees human beings as such boring creatures and if given the choice she doesn't see why anyone wouldn't want to be anything other than human. Yeah, there are some downsides that come to living a supernatural life but the rewards more than make up from all the negatives. At least that the way she feels about it.
Does anyone know that you are a hybrid? If so who?
Outside of the oblivious tourist and humans who occupy the city; most of the supernatural people who reside in New Orleans knows who she is. The only people in Mystic Falls who knows who she is is her aunt and cousin.
