Even after offering the two choices, Yui wasn't budging, she wasn't even speaking so Raven couldn't figure out which of the two to do. "If you don't choose, I'll choose for you." Raven muttered, growing more agitated, tapping the angel's shoulder as gently as she could. "You're there, I know you are so please say something." Why didn't Yui even want to try to understand? Why was she so hated? "Do you just hate me? Did you never even care about me when I was Haruka once? Were all those good memories fake?" And so Raven really did start to cry, she couldn't bear it anymore, to have Yui reject her over and over and over again, for Yui to be nothing but a broken doll waiting to die but being unable to.

Leo was here then, talking, offering another solution but Raven shuddered as she stared at it. "I want the decision now. It hurts too much, I'd rather Yui be free elsewhere than to keep her locked up like this even for one more second." She was actually visibly shaking, and so Leo nodded respectfully, doing the swap behind his back so Raven wouldn't suspect a thing. "Why don't you understand why I had to become dark?" Raven asked in a whimper. "I never would have been able to rescue you from Prometheus, Mayumi and Hime would have had their plan work out perfectly, don't you see?" She clung to Yui then, not not digging her nails in or holding too tightly. "Trying to find you for so long, I was getting desperate, I didn't know how else to save you! I became dark because I wanted to rescue you, to bring you back home, to make the family whole again."

She rubbed at her now red eyes, breaking down. "I tainted my soul to save you and you don't even care. You might have just been happier letting Hime and Mayumi turn you into the Goddess, wouldn't you?" Her darkness was surging, Raven was spiraling out of control now. "You never loved me, you never loved any of us. That's why you won't join us even when they did, because they still cared about the family even if you didn't." She stared at the angel, looking for even the tiniest hint of love, but finding nothing at all. "Did you ever consider us anything? Or did you lose the ability to love the moment you lost your memories as Loretta?" Raven shuddered as if a cold chill was dripping down her back.

If Yui didn't want to join, if she didn't want isolation, then Raven knew she had to do the hardest choice of them all then. "Fine." She sniffed, quieting herself. "I'll let you go free. You'll die, and I'll take your seed and let it rot so no one can have it and use it. You'll be free, because you'd rather die than be with a family you never loved in the first place." She raised her railgun then, letting it whir. "I'm sorry." Raven said in a low voice, full of despair. "Sorry that I tried so hard to save you that I sold my soul to get you back to us. I'm sorry for loving you like a sister."

Yui shuddered when Raven touched her, her hands were cold. Raven was accusing her of things now, making it seem like this was all Yui's fault, that she hated Haruka before she became Raven, that all of their happy memories were fake. It stung, hearing those words, knowing that the darkness was corrupting Haruka so much so that she couldn't see how much pain everyone else was in. Yui couldn't take it anymore, she felt nauseous. Her arms shook as she pushed herself into a sitting position, her bones creaked, it was the most moving she had done in a long time now. Slowly Yui turned to face Raven, her eyes already stinging with tears. "They weren't fake," Yui said quietly, her voice squeaking. Her hair was messy and matted, she wasn't sure when the last time she had taken a bath was and she was certain that her skin had its own permanent layer of grime.

Leo went over to the machine, Yui thinking he was just doing the normal light infusion. He tapped the dark vial, one of the lines growing thick with what looked like ink. Yui didn't notice, she was listening to Raven's accusations, her justification for doing all of this. "I'm sorry," Yui said quietly, "I didn't want any of this to happen," she choked, her light bearing mark already flickering. Yui cried out in pain, doubling over. She coughed, blood spattering the pillows, adding a little bit of color to the starchy white sheets. Their family could never be whole, not with what Haruka had done to it. She had killed their parents, had turned Ronan into a puppet and was going to enslave the rest of the world too. Her accusations were painful, claiming that Yui had lost her ability to love. Little did any of them know how right Raven was, that Yui could never love a single person.

"Just do it already," all of these threats to kill her and the only one that had made good on their promise was K. "You always intended to take it," there was blood dribbling out of her mouth now. Yui curled up in a ball on the bed, squeezing her eyes shut. Leo was frozen, watching between Raven and Yui. Finally he stepped between the two, "do it now," he whispered, "it'll be easier now that the darkness is in her." Darkness was easily tempted, as they all knew and if anyone could tempt it the best it was Raven. She had converted everyone else, after all. "It hurts," Yui whimpered, clutching her stomach. She wanted to throw up, her head was spinning horribly. Was Raven going to kill her or not?

"Should I bring Damian and Ally? You can do it while she sleeps," do what? What were they talking about? "Even if you don't do it now, the darkness will influence her, she'll change her tune quickly." Darkness? Was that what he had done? Yui groaned, it almost felt like she was dying again, only her stomach hadn't been ripped open and there was only blood coming from her mouth, the taste it of it overwhelming.

And here it was, it was going to happen, Yui's life would end and her light seed would be taken from her so that she wouldn't have to be forced to become a Goddess. Raven's lip quivered and her whole body shook as she aimed the railgun, as it spun and charged, the metallic plates generating electric energy to shoot out in the form of a bolt. It would be fast, it would be instant, Yui wouldn't feel a thing. "Goodbye, little sister." Raven whispered, steadying her arm. "No, I never wanted this. I only wanted us to be happy, I just-" But it was too late, Yui would never listen, because she hated her and that was that. And so- and that was when Leo suddenly deactivated the gun and stepped between them.

"What did you do." Raven glared at Leo, turning her gun on him. "I told you not to, don't you see it's hurting her, are you - you defied my direct orders! I told you not to give it to her, to let her have her choice!" The rage was building up, Raven couldn't control it and so she turned her gun back on and shot Leo through the stomach in a fury, the young doctor collapsing against the wall, sliding down with a hand clutching his chest. "Leo deserves better than to have to feel pain! Die!" And then she spun and turned her attention to Yui, whimpering. "Stop bleeding, stop being in pain, just be happy and healthy, please!" Raven screamed and it was that heartful cry that summoned the attention of the insane Allyana, singing a tuneless song about pulling wings off of butterflies.

The singing crazy girl saw the scene, didn't bat an eye at Leo and then went to put Yui to sleep, having a bit of effort but eventually managing it. "Let's pull all the wings off of butterflies so they can never leave us and fly away!" The girl sang and twirled and dashed out to continue coloring the walls of the HIVE Base. Raven didn't want it to happen like this, if anything she wanted Yui to have the right to choose. But because of Leo, it was too late now, they had to do it if they wanted to spare her pain. "Damian, come here. L-let's turn her now." And Damian arrived as Xavier came to clean up what remained of Leo. Raven and Damian did their work, corrupting the last of them with little effort as the darkness conspired to help from the inside.

With that done, her goal was at long last complete. But as Raven stared at Yui, at all she had suffered just now... why wasn't she happy? Why wasn't Raven celebrating at her goal finally being complete, at the family being now complete? Why was she feeling so hollow, why did she just want to break down and cry? But she wasn't allowed to, she had a war to run, a new world to create. Instead of happiness, there was just an empty sadness.

Yui was suffocating, the darkness and light, it was overwhelming her. "Come here," a voice whispered. "Help," Yui whimpered, "Come here, this way," it ebbed her on from the darkness. Yui managed to prop herself up on her hands and knees, crawling towards the ever darkening sky. "That's it, just a little bit more," she collapsed on the edge, the darkness dragging her in. "Shh, sleep now, everything will be fine." An overwhelming exhaustion had overcome her, as though Yui had been fighting a very long battle that was finally over. "It's warm," she whispered, her eyes feeling heavy. "It's okay, just let it take you," Yui closed her eyes, drifting off peacefully.

"It was painless," Damian informed Raven. "She went easily," it almost seemed as though they were talking about a dead person. "Should we move her?" Surely Raven didn't intend to keep Yui in the cell that Leo had been killed in? Raven had trudged off though, not answering. Damian stood there in confusion, knowing he couldn't move Yui without Xavier. He went off to find his boy toy, locating him in the hallway and having him move Yui to a different room, one where the walls weren't torn through or splattered in blood. The mattress seemed to have a permanent indentation of where Yui had curled up in it for days on end. Damian's expression softened as he held her, the three of them moving to another room. "Maybe we should give her a bath?" He suggested and Xavier shrugged. "Sure, but won't Raven not like it if we take off her clothes?"

That was true, Raven could walk in at any moment and accuse them of doing something lewd, although both boys weren't interested in girls, much less little ones. "Maybe we should, or at least change her?" Xavier and Damian ended up lifting Yui off of the bed once more, taking her carefully to the bathroom. They had to be careful because of the tubes sticking out of her at every which angle, as well as to take care that her head didn't go underneath the water when they washed her hair. "There, all clean," Damian declared, wrapping Yui in a towel and carrying her back into the room. They rediapered and dressed her, leaving her in bed. If one paid attention, they would have noticed that her ear feathers had turned black.

Yui awoke a few hours later, feeling strange. Her eyes blinked up at the ceiling, glassy red orbs, but unlike the others they weren't dull. No, they were full of life and curiosity, staring around at her surroundings with interest. Where was she? Her hair was wet, her ear feathers dripping. Yui tried to sit up, finding that it was painful to move. She whimpered, her newly darkened mark glowing slightly from underneath her clothes.

They had just returned from the battlefield over the seas against South Korea's navy. Or, well, what was left of their nazy. Aria and Mizuki were assigned to this one, Mizuki as the one overseeing the whole thing, and Aria actually on the field, fighting her heart out. At first Aria wasn't sure how she was supposed to defeat an army on the sea but then she realized with her little sister's help but tornados made it hard for boats to really move and maneuver, allowing her to knock them into each other with a cool and exciting domino effect. It was very exciting and just as expected, they managed to win that battle too, allowing the JSDF to land on South Korea's shores with Ronan at the fore front.

"Head home now." Mizuki said with a wild sort of grin, still sucking on her finger which Raven had used to touch into her own special spot as a reward for her service. "You did good, big sis, I'm proud of you." An Aria that could kill was the most satisfied version of Aria and she was looking forward to Mizu patting her head and calling her a good girl. Aria was simple to please for sure, happy just to serve, loyal and obedient, just like what Prometheus wanted when they paired Hazuki and Kenshiro together. There was a pause on Mizuki's end then. "Oh, looks like we have a surprise, Yui finally decided to join us! Come fast, we should see her, sis."

So Aria flew her way back to base feeling very jittery and happy all at the same time, with the blood of thousands on her hands just from that one fight. Yui was finally one of them, it was what Master Raven had wanted for such a long time. Now Master Raven could rule them all even better than she already was, Aria was very excited for that prospect indeed. "There you are." Mizu took her arms and placed them on the handles of her wheelchair when she spotted Aria enter the base. "Take me to the room Raven prepared for Yui!" And Aria, who felt pleasure just at the idea of helping others, nodded. "Yes, let's! Maybe Yui will think I'm a good girl!" Maybe so indeed.

And there Yui was. Damian and Xavier were already trying to teach her words, the girl seemed as if maybe she had been hit by amnesia of sorts, once again forgetting about them, about the fact that they were family, and that they loved her dearly. "We don't know what's wrong, but Raven will know when she sees." He said matter of factly while Mizuki placed chocolate in Aria's hand. "Give her." She told the big sister and so Aria did so - nearly throwing the chocolate at her instead of just being friends through her. "Eat, it's yummy delicious! It's tuyummy!" Mizuki shook her head then. "Don't confuse her, tuyummy isn't a word."

Yui wasn't quite sure what was happening, she was confused and dizzy, her limbs seemed unable to follow her commands. Where was she? What had happened? "Yui," someone said, coming into the room. Yui? That was her name wasn't it? "Yui, it's me, Damian," Yui blinked up at him, trying hard to form words. Her brain felt slightly sluggish, it was clear that something was amiss. Her voice, that was it! That's what was missing! Yui tried it again, this time attempting to put some voice into it. "H-hello," she squeaked like a little mouse. "Yui, do you know who I am?" Yui slowly shook her head, it seemed that the darkness had locked away all memories of her from the light. That side of Yui was asleep, unable to connect with this side. "C-confused," she tried to sit up again, falling over like a toddler unable to hold their weight.

"Damian, do something, Raven isn't going to like this!" Xavier was clearly worried about Raven's temper, which was subject to snapping from time to time. "Hang on, don't panic yet," Damian's finger seemed to glow as it poked Yui's temple. The girl jolted, her entire body feeling as though it had been struck by lightning. Yui blinked a few time, her eyes swimming. "No, now I think you broke her," Xavier said worriedly, pacing in front of the bed. "No, I should've unlocked her." Yui squirmed in bed, pushing her knees together and whimpering. "Great, I think you erased her completely." Xavier scratched furiously at his hair, taking a seat worriedly in the corner. "Maybe this is a good thing? Raven will have a chance to reconnect with her!" Yui made a sound, it was clear she was uncomfortable. "What's wrong?" Damian asked delicately, approaching the beside. "Do you have to use the bathroom?" Yui nodded her head, trying to roll onto her side.

"Just go, it's okay, I'll go get a fresh-" Xavier was already on his way to the rescue, with wipes and a fresh diaper. Not ten minute later the door burst open, Aria and Mizuki coming inside to see their friend. Yui watched them curiously, looking at the chocolate as it was tossed at her. "She can't eat, remember?" Damian reminded them, handing the chocolate back to Aria. It was true, Yui's stomach would need to slowly be reintroduced to food as she had been living off of the nutrient mixture for quite sometime now. It was likely her stomach no longer knew had to digest food and eating something could make her vomit or worse. "Where's Raven?" Damian asked nervously as Xavier tried to teach her a word.

Yui was squirming again, but this time because she was restless. "Why don't we go on a walk?" Damian suggested before remembering that taking Yui anywhere was a task because of the machines. "Or Mizu, Ari, why don't you two entertain her?" Damian grabbed Xavier's hand, the two of them bolting in case Raven showed up at any moment. Yui looked over at the two girls and reached for them, her intentions clear; she wanted to be picked up.

It was like a question for the ages that no one knew quite how to answer. Where was their dear and beloved master, Raven, and why wasn't she here for Yui's awakening, the one she was the most excited for out of them all? Where had she run off too, why wasn't she celebrating? Considering Xavier and Damian's jittery fear maybe it was best that she wasn't here so that they wouldn't get in trouble like that doctor did, the one whose name Mizuki couldn't remember, it was like his name and face was scrubbed out of her memory. Aria too didn't seem to remember much of him. "My chocolate then, wheel me over." Mizuki demanded and Aria obliged happily, loving taking orders and making them reality, letting Mizu reach the fallen chocosquare.

"Good for my heart, it's mine." Mizuki said with a grin. "You can have some later, Yui, when you're feeling better." Yui was erased though, this wasn't the girl Mizu or Aria remembered. But then again, everyone underwent some sort of change upon becoming one of Raven's family, everyone was modified in some way. Ally who was serious lots became fun loving and silly, Mizuki accepted her true love, Aria was true to her subservient dog-like nature, everyone was their real selves stripped bare from all the other silliness. And then the two boys dashed away, leaving the sisters to deal with the suddenly infantile girl. "Put her on my lap and cart us to the bathroom." Mizuki ordered authoritatively as she sucked on the chocolate happily. Aria smiled, feeling warm and fuzzy as she lifted up the dark angel and placed in in Mizu's lap.

With two girls all set up in the wheelchair, it was time to go on an adventure! So Aria pushed the chair, not too fast, not too slow, just right for Yui to be enthralled by her surroundings and Mizu kept saying random things like how ice cream was not peanut butter or how a frog can't kiss a dragon without being turned into cheese. A whole bunch of random things to help teach Yui how to speak. Mizu's chair was electric run, which was good because of her powers, so they just plugged Yui's machines into the slots and Mizu kept a gentle steady flow to keep the battery up. She was now a portable life support machine!

Oh, but it only got better from there. After helping Yui potty, Mizuki continued ordering Aria around to gather materials from around the base until she finally had everything ready, Aria managing to set up a holo screen that connected into a port on the front of the wheelchair, allowing for the girls to watch an anime or browse the internet to do whatever they wanted from the comfort of the throne-like chair. "Magical girls." Mizu decided instantly with a delighted smirk. "Lenalou! Let's watch, let's watch!"

Yui flounced around, flailing at the smallest excitement. She looked around with wide, curious eyes, taking the room in for the first time. "Y-Yui!" She squealed happily, having figured out a word. Yui was moved from the bed to Mizuki's lap and the girl at first seemed confused by this sudden movement, as she was by everything else, but then seemed to accept it and go along with it. It seemed that Yui was slowly coming too, as though her real self was beginning to peak through the surface of her new dark mark. "Yui wants too," she squealed in reference to the chocolate. Yui wanted chocolate too, although she couldn't have any yet. She probably wouldn't be able to have any for a long while, not unless they turned it into mush and pushed it into the feeding tube.

If Yui had kept up with her exercises she would have been off of majority of the machines, but since she had spiraled into depression and had stopped doing much of anything, her body had deteriorated. It wasn't quite as a bad as before, perhaps a week or two to regain the full movement of her upper body, it was the lower body that was the real problem and the fact that she had lost so much weight. She would have to do extra feedings for now to try and regain a few of the pounds she shed. Once she put that back on, the recovery stages would hopefully go a bit smoother. For now she was stuck looking like an infant, unable to move around much and dependent on those around her to feed and change her.

After a quick stop to the potty they headed to another room where Mizuki began dolling out orders faster than Aria could take. Soon a holo screen had been set up, all of the fixings prepared for Mizuki to use. "Yui wants too!" She repeated, wriggling on Mizuki's lap in excitement for something she didn't quite understand. Magical girls, the words alone were enough to make her eyes go wide. The black screen began to flicker to life, prompting a squeal of excitement out of Yui, who was delighted to watch the moving pictures. She wasn't paying much attention to the story, but the flashy fight scenes and colorful imagery were enough to captivate her to the very end. When it was over and the people disappeared, she appeared to be confused again. Where did all of the colors and lights go?

Yui tried to suck on a few of her fingers, as though suddenly realizing that she had them. "More," Yui said, writhing in Mizuki's lap once again. "Yui wants too!" What she wanted though, Yui wasn't sure herself. She did know that she liked the moving pictures on the screen though, Yui definitely wanted to see more of that. What else did she want more of? Well, more fingers to suck on perhaps. She couldn't fit two hands in one mouth though, so Yui settled for the one, suckling on her knuckles.

Aria made for a good servant. That was what she was bred for, that was what Natsuo and Aria and Mizuki were all bred for, t exhibit loyalty and happiness serving and taking orders from their superiors, which was in this case Raven, and in the past, was likely to be as servants to Mayumi and Hime if Ira never had the idea to rebel against them. She looked genuinely pleased to have things to do, to be told what to do and Mizuki, well, considering she knew all about Prometheus, this was her way of proving she wasn't some thing, she could have her own will and become whatever she wished to be. She had ascended from a born servant to one that made the orders. It was her job after all, as Aria's main handler for the war effort.

Lenalou was a very, very fun watch. For some reason Mizuki felt entranced by the character of Rianu, the best friend of the protagonist and the Goddess of Monsters. There was just something about it, about a child born and experimented on to be able to birth monsters in order to ruin the world and force it to be reset, and then that child fighting against her fate in the only way she knew how - death so that she wouldn't have to become what her family intended her to be. Rebellion, it was such a pretty word and Mizuki felt as if teaming up with Raven was rebellion against the world their parents had wanted them to make. Okay, that wasn't the only motivation. She was in love after all.

"Aria, go get us a stuffed animal." Mizuki barked and Aria nodded, her face flushing with happiness. "Yes, Master Mizuki!" She giggled and walked off to find one, leaving the two little sisters with broken bodies alone. "Alright you, it's time for a new anime. There's a whole lot of good ones!" This time she turned on something about a man that could win any fight with a single fight, whose name reminded her of a place in the Kanto Region, the Saitama Prefecture. "This one's not as exciting, it's just funny." Mizu said quietly. it was an old anime, from before the 22nd Century, but back in it's time it had been very popular.

That was when someone appeared then, making a strange expression, one that Mizu didn't expect her to make. "Raven." Mizu said with delight, her face heating up. There was a seed in her head that commanded Mizuki's oven to get warm the instant she saw Raven and it was activating, the girl squirmed in her seat, Yui's hair brushing against her mounds wasn't helping matters any. "So it's true, Yui's awake now." Raven hardly even seemed to care and that made Mizu pout. She wanted attention, she wanted this heat to be dealt with so she could be satisfied but Raven was more interested in Yui. "Tell me, how much do you remember, Yui?" Raven asked, trying to gauge how useful the last one would be, with no joy in her eyes.

Yui watched the anime with wide eyes, wanting to keep up but not really knowing what was going on. She blinked slowly, her eyes slowly filling with something, knowledge maybe. "Mizu!" Yui tried to sit up on her own, recognizing one of her friends. She was acting a bit fussy, it was clear that the girl was restless. In the end she lay her head against Mizuki's chest, quieting down once more to watch the anime that was flashing bright colors again. Yui wasn't interested in the plot so much as the funny characters doing strange things. Whether she understood what was going on was another matter entirely. The dark little angel seemed to be enjoying herself though, still sucking on the fingers she had newly discovered. Did Mizuki's fingers taste the same? Yui wanted to know.

She looked at Mizu's hand, grabbing it and flailing it around for a few seconds as she tried to put Mizu's fingers in her mouth. Finally she got one, sucking on Mizuki's pinkie finger. With Mizuki's finger in her mouth Yui seemed to quiet once more, her eyes settling on the screen as the hero ran to catch a sale at their local supermarket. Aria had been sent away to retrieve a stuffed animal, probably to give Yui something else to suck on that wasn't fingers. Her attention was slowly drawn away from the TV and towards the fake window, where it was snowing. Yui's eyes widened once more, glimmering red and wondering about the snow outside. Could she suck on that too? What did snow taste like? Was it better than Mizu's finger?

Yui released Mizuki's hand and closed and opened her own in the direction of the window. "Snow," she said, wanting to go outside to play. Even if she couldn't move around all that much, it had been a long time since Yui had last been outside. For months she had been inside of the tank and then in that small, windowless cell down the hall. The spark she had lost in there seemed to have returned, the little girl full of the energy that had been missing earlier in the day. It was as though her will to live had been restored, the fragments of a shattered porcelain doll returning to make her whole. When the door opened, Yui fell well expected it to be Aria with her stuffed animal. Instead, she was in for a surprise, Raven appearing and standing in front of the holo screen, blocking their view of the anime.

Mizuki was squirming too now, although she was doing it for different reasons than Yui. "Raven," Yui opened and closed her hands, it was clear that she wanted Raven to pick her up. "Yui is-Yui-Yui is happy!" She wriggled on Mizuki's lap, staring at her big sister. "Yui-Yui is-is happy because she-she can finally be with her big-her big-big sister!" It was clear that words were still hard, as though the child was slowly tasting each one on her tongue, figuring out how to speak.

Watching this anime about a hero with an ability to punch an enemy in one hit was definitely something, but Mizuki would have preferred something a bit more modern, more recent. Still, it wasn't a bad choice and she had a feeling Yui was going to like any anime she decided on. It was around then that Yui suddenly pulled on her hand, deciding to suckle on the fingers and the girl with the weak heart decided that it felt rather nice. "What do I taste like, Yui?" Mizu asked with a sudden warm sort of feeling. This reminded her of with Raven, or herself after each session, it felt so nice she just wanted to melt into bits. A blush settled on her cheeks, a very lewd blush as a result of the finger sucking.

"Do I taste good?" She asked with a restless little wiggle. And this restlessness only got worse when Raven came in then, for what Mizu didn't know, but the seed was stimulating her brain with everything she needed to want her Master to jump her bones right then and there, no matter who might be watching, it didn't matter as long as the heat was attended to. But then she was almost completely ignored, Raven putting all of her attention and focus, which was a little annoying but it wasn't Yui's fault, it wasn't Raven's either. Wasn't it normal to want to look at the new shiny thing before going for the old and tried?

The first thing Raven did was block the screen of the anime and look pointedly at Yui, staying a safe distance away so that she wouldn't have to connect with the girl she once wanted to save and protect so dearly. She asked Yui how much she remembered but the girl seemed unable to answer that question, instead saying that she was happy, that she wanted to be with her big sister. How much of it was real and how much of it was seeded was impossible to know. "I wanted to see you too." Raven said and then lowered her head a little. "But I was scared you wouldn't want to, that you might be upset with me." She was a child, just a child and perhaps that was how Yui was best, a weak little child that's allowed to be weak, having no responsibilities or anything.

Better than being responsible for the world as a Goddess.

"She wants you to pick her up." Mizuki said, translating the little body language Yui was capable of. The girl was basically a nest of lusty heat and Raven was going to tend to that eventually. For now she wanted Yui, though. So Raven walked over and Mizu gently handed the girl over, picking her up and holding her like a fragile glass doll. "You're finally one of us." She whispered and that was when the servant dog came back, Aria, with a toy in her mouth. She noticed it was in her mouth and then blushed and put it in her hands, it was a certain stuffed lamb made once upon a time by a woman that was no more. "Here, I found it." She said and Mizu shook her head. "Give it to her later, the sisters are in a bonding moment."

What did Mizuki taste like? Yui wasn't sure, it seemed she had forgotten the taste of food. Yui's brow furrowed as she thought long and hard about what Mizuki tasted like. "Apple," Yui decided, choosing a word at random, one that she had heard being used in the anime. "Mizu is apple!" Mizuki's face was turning red, although Yui didn't know why. "Apple!" Mizuki certainly was going for an apple like shade what with the color in her cheeks and all. Yui didn't seem to mind it, she was busy suckling and watching the anime. "Red," Yui said next, choosing a name for the color Mizuki had turned. She looked back at the holo screen, "green," she said next with a nod, as though confirming something. What it was, was beyond knowing. Many things didn't make sense when you had darkness inside of you, sometimes it brought out the worst in others, other times it stripped them down to who they truly were.

Raven came then, blocking the holo screen so that Yui wouldn't get distracted and instead pay attention to her. Even standing in front of it, Yui could partially see the bright colors behind her. Yui flailed suddenly, it was clear that she wanted Raven to pick her up, but Raven was acting aloof and distant, standing far back so that Yui might not touch her. It didn't make Yui's excitement at seeing her ebb any, in fact, it almost had the opposite effect, making her flail harder as well as open and close her hands more so that Raven might pay attention to her and pick her up. Raven wanted to see her too, she said, but she was afraid. Afraid? Yui didn't think that her big sister could ever be afraid of anything. "Yui-Yui wan-wanted to-to be with Raven!" She said in that overly excited tone, she was clearly working hard to string together words that made up sentences.

"B-but Yui-Yui was sc-scared!" Scared of what? She wasn't sure now, but it had made sense before to be afraid of something. "Yui-Yui i-i-is happy now-now th-that she c-can be-be with her f-f-family!" "Y-Yui lo-loves Raven-Raven!" She nodded her head so vigorously that her hair had become messy once more. Why wouldn't Raven pick her up? Why was Raven acting so cold to her? "Y-Yui is-isn't mad," she shook her head as though to make a point. "Yui-Yui is-is ha-happy sh-she can be-be with R-Raven again," even with the darkness there was truth to her words, Yui had wanted nothing more than be with her family and now she could be, no longer confined to the tiny cell where she did nothing but stare numbly at the wall in the hopes of being killed out of mercy.

Raven finally picked her up, making Yui squeal happily and flail her arms like a bird trying to learn to fly. Yui tried to grab Raven's fingers to suckle on next, seeming content in Raven's arms as the girl whispered to her. Yui rubbed her head against Raven's chest like an affectionate little kitten. Aria returned with a stuffed lamb, one that Yui didn't seem to recognize. There wasn't a glimmer of familiarity in her eyes when she looked at the toy, although she clearly wanted to hold it.

This was what the darkness did to people. It made Xavier be able to admit his feelings for Damian instead of just waiting around for Damian to get jealous and steal him from Jenny. It let Mizuki let go of her hatred and sadness and bitterness, let go of the feelings that were eating her alive in order to be a good girl, in order to realize she loved Raven. It let Aria stop having to act tough and cool, being the happy servant she truly was on the inside. Okay, Ally was a bit of an outlier but you couldn't say she was sad by looking at her idly coloring anything she could find, babbling nonsense that no doubt made perfect sense to her. Ronan was no longer burdened by sadness and guilt and fate, and could start to develop his feelings for a certain stupid dog. And Yui was allowed to just be a helpless child again, to not have to worry or think about a thing.

"There's nothing to be afraid of, not anymore." Raven said, finally shedding the cold aloof self that was afraid of rejection, afraid of seeing that resigned look in Yui's eyes that wanted nothing more than death, that preferred death over being a family again. Yui was better like this, she was happier, she never smiled the way she was before. "We're taking over the world and getting rid of all the people with dangerous ideas about us light bearers!" No more Prometheus, no more Sanctum, no one would be able to oppose them, no one would be able to fight against them.

Yui kept on exclaiming that she loved Raven, that they were a happy family again and Raven decided to try something, rubbing her cheek on Yui's own cheek. It felt nice, it was soft, warm, it was just so gentle. "Now we'll finally be able to protect you, Yui, we'll be able to keep you safe forever and ever." Ronan walked in then, cleaning a blood stain off of his gun just as Aria nudged the toy at Yui, and Mizuki was quiet, just quietly rubbing to deal with the heat that was taking over her body and mind. "Yui's awake?" Ronan asked, and it was clear he had been worried about this for a while.

Raven nodded, handing her sister over to her adopted brother, the real blood sibling of the baby Yui. "It took you long enough, kiddo, you made us worried. But now you can be with us, you're a part of the family now." He was smiling and grinning and so Aria decided something. "I'm going to sing." She said, needing to express her joy of seeing Ronan so happy and relaxed, and it was clear that this girl was once an idol with the way her voice sounded so clear and pretty and soft for everyone. "Mission complete, Raven." Ronan reported as he sat with Yui between his legs. "China will surrender to us soon, we crushed their base in Beijing easily."

Yui wasn't scared of the darkness anymore, she no longer feared becoming an unrecognizable monster that would be used as a tool to destroy the world. Not that she could do that with the condition she was in. Yui, so tiny and cute, could never be a menace to anyone. Especially now that she had no idea how to use her ability, the blood bending that could take down so many enemies at once had yet to be discovered. For now she seemed like an innocent toddler, flailing excitedly at the fact that Raven no longer seemed cold and distant but was welcoming her, accepting her back into the family like she had never left. "World?" Yui repeated, she had finally managed to grab Raven's hand to suck on, sticking her index finger into her mouth to suckle. "Yui-Yui wants to be-be fa-family for-forever," she stuttered around Raven's finger.

When Raven rubbed their cheeks together, Yui happily accepted the affection. Aria nudged the toy into her grip, distracting Yui so that Raven could reclaim her finger. She happily took the stuffed lamb and promptly began to suck on its ear, making it a bit soggy. The soft plushy was the perfect size for snuggling and Yui had already wrapped her arms around it by the time Ronan returned, polishing his gun with a small strip of cloth to get the blood stains off of it. Killing people was a messy business, they never just died neatly with all of their blood and body intact. No, sometimes they erupted in large explosions and other times they succumbed to his blood tails. Ronan too, was an artificial light bearer, only his mark had been designed by Shoku and Fumino and he had only gotten it accidentally after stealing what he thought was cough syrup.

Yui looked over at Ronan, she didn't seem as excited to see him, but that could be because she was preoccupied by her new toy. Raven handed Yui over to Ronan who sat down on the floor with Yui between his legs, trying to straighten her messy hair with his fingers. "Owie," Yui whimpered and he stopped trying to get the knots out. "Maybe it'd be easier to cut it," he murmured, the strands seeming darker than their normal red. Aria declared that she was going to sing and the room became filled with the sound of her smooth harmony, her words dripping like honey. Yui made a sort of burbling sound that spoke of trying to imitate the way Aria was singing. China would surrender soon, everything was going according to plan.

The Doc made an appearance then, Yui hadn't gotten her breakfast yet because of Leo's untimely death. "My son," his voice trembled, "what did you do to him?" He was holding the syringe so tightly it almost seemed as though it was going to shatter. Ronan tugged the tube out of his grip, pushing up Yui's dress to connect it to the feeding tube. Perhaps that was why she was sucking on everything she could get her hands on, the poor little girl was hungry.

The Doc was here, his son was missing and they had no idea where he might be. Honestly, Ally and Raven both knew enough by now, they could handle Yui's upkeep, and in return Yui's blood could keep them alive, right? Ally could read some books on physiotherapy and then she could be in charge of taking care of Yui while everyone else was dealing with the Third World War. It wasn't like the insane girl could help much in a fight anyway. "I sent him to Antarctica." Raven said with a swift lie. "If you want, I can send you there too to prove it. He's not dead, that would be a waste." A trap of course, but would the Doc see through it and fall into it? Leo defied orders, he wasn't going to be allowed to live after that.

And so time passed slowly, perhaps far too slowly. Raven was commanding, she was the world's new nightmare. America was quick to decide that the only way to stop the threat was with nuclear force but Mizuki and Damian had already gotten Aria in, she disabled America's nuclear fissions and set it to self destruct. Thus America surrendered, they couldn't risk having their own warheads blow up on homesoil after all. All because of China's surrender, America too, had given up. Even with K in the UN, teaming up with Natsuo and Kenshiro and Viktor, they didn't seem able to do much against Raven's power and advanced tech beyond the rest of the world's level.

The more people that died, the less people there would be to try and hurt her loved ones and take them away. Raven knew it, she knew she was doing the right thing. She was inspired by Prometheus, by Hime and Mayumi, both of whom were long gone now. If they hadn't stolen Yui and opened Raven's eyes to the truth of the world, she wouldn't have been forced to go dark. So all of this conquest and destruction was born entirely because of them, it was fated when Yui was stolen away from them that day on the rooftop. Or perhaps the deal was sealed when Mayumi had them killed in the car accident. It showed Raven that there would always be people trying to take away their happiness.

That wasn't allowed to happen, not anymore.

"And so you're free from the medical octopus." Ally was their new doctor now. Even if she was insane, she still seemed to have her intelligence, and was able to study and learn from all of the deceased Leo's notes to figure out how to take care of Yui. Everyone else was finishing up a major battle, Russia's huge offensive strike with help from both Koreas and Germany too, all of them trying to get to Japan's shores, to liberate China. "All you need is to keep the body strengthening practice and then you will be perfect and healthy!" Ally clapped her hands, delighted then picked up a marker and began coloring on her arm for fun.

Yui was working hard to get better, it was clear that the little girl was determined to at least stand on her own. Words were still hard, her sentences often took a few minutes to cobble together between the stuttering. Yui seemed happy though, she played when she wasn't doing therapy and had plenty of games and toys to keep her entertained when she wasn't being used as a dress up doll for Ally's amusement. The time she spent in therapy was working though, Yui soon had her entire range of upper body motions again. She was reaching and grabbing for things faster then they could get them out of the way. Her affinity for sucking on things didn't wane and so pacifiers were employed so that her family might keep their fingers spit free. The most worrisome thing that happened was that Yui hated being alone.

It was unrealistic to think that someone could be with her all the time, what with the others in battle and Ally having the mental fortitude of a six year old, which was where the holo came in. It seemed if you turned it on, the little girl became enthralled and would sit quietly in front of it as long as there was something to watch. It didn't matter what was playing, one time Yui had gotten through two horror movies before Ronan changed the channel because he noticed they were dismembering a fake body. Whether she actually understood what was playing or not was another thing, her comprehension abilities seemed to have regressed. She was blissfully unaware of the tension outside of the base, she hadn't been outside in who knows how long. Yui hadn't seen the light of day since before she had gone into the tank.

Today was the day, Yui had finally been freed of the life support machines. "Yay!" She burbled happily as the last of it was disconnected from her body. The only thing that remained was the feeding tube and the port and they had already been working on reintroducing food, as was evident by the spill on the front of her cute little sailor dress. Ally had begun coloring on her arm rather than paying attention and so Yui took the opportunity to crawl away, now free of the machines that normally tugged at her. She crawled straight out of the room and down the hall, knowing exactly where she wanted to go. She wasn't quite up to walking level yet, but Yui did manage to get up the stairs and with no one around to stop her she crawled straight through the doors to Raven's base and out into the snow.

Now, Yui wasn't trying to escape or leave, she just wanted to play outside. "C-cold," she stuttered with a shiver, taking a handful of snow to try and eat. It was cold on her tongue too, which made her spit it back out. Yui looked around, realizing that she had gotten quite far and had no idea where she was. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?"

"Is that a kid?"

"How did she get here?"

"That mark."

"Bag her," Yui was grabbing for more snow when a bag went over her head, turning the lights off. She squirmed and thrashed, rough hands grabbing at her. The sounds of a door opening and closing met her ears and then the growl of an engine. Where were they going? Yui couldn't see, her hands had been bound behind her, but it was warm in the car, unlike how cold it was outside.

The result of the giant battle just north of Japan's coast, where a coalition force had grouped together with all of their strength to punch through Japan's defenses turned out to - well, it wasn't exactly a loss, but it wasn't a victory either. Both sides lost so much, so many lives thrown away for nothing, Ronan was badly hurt, he protected Aria from a flurry of bullets and he wasn't waking up, Aria had gone overboard in her revenge, blowing up the entire area, destroying countless boats and ships and airplanes for both sides. If Japan wanted to keep winning, they were going to have to rebuild their entire airforce and navy from scratch now that Aria blew it all up. And to make matters worse, Yui had gone missing.

Well, as missing as someone could get when you had seeds in your head that always transmitted where you were to Raven as long as she paid attention to it. "Who took her?" Mizuki asked, glaring hard at Ally who was crying incoherently. "I don't know." The childlike Ally whimpered, crying and hugging herself and whimpering and hating herself. "The world took her, they did it, they didn't want us to win or be happy ever." And so Aria stiffened and her mark glowed a dark ominous black. "i'll blow up the world then, I'll kill everything!" She giggled, charging up air to go flying and summon hurricanes to destroy all of human civilization and cause the human exctinction. "Fast, I gotta do it fast before they kill her, I won't let Yui be turned into a Goddess!" Before anyone could say anything to stop her, Aria flew off, intent on using wind and hurricanes to push all the water on Earth into one condensed wave, then blasting that wave to crash into every single country until everyone drowned to death, until humans were no more.

So they had a time limit. "I know where she is." Raven said, tense for more than one reason. She was definitely going to torture the family of whoever dared to take Yui from her, but she was worried because if they didn't make it on time Aria would have destroyed everything. Which would make Yui into a Goddess anyways, the air girl wasn't even thinking. "I'm coming too, Haru." Mizuki insisted, gritting her teeth. "And Xavier, you have to transport us to where Haru tells us to go!" So Raven nodded, taking her lover's hand, taking Xavier's hand. "Here is where Yui's seeds are." Raven pointed at the map and Xavier transported them there.

At the same time as this was happening, Aria was laughing over the Pacific Ocean. She was gathering up the entire Pacific into one giant wave, using wind and storms to hold it in place until it was time. The first place to send the biggest tsunami in history to was going to be Japan, of course, because that way no one would be able to put a stop to her! It was going to be incredible! As she was doing this, she was also killing off the Earth's ecosystem, all the salt water fish in the Pacific were going to die, but that was okay. Who needed a working ecosystem when everyone was going to die in a few hours anyways, right? "I am the end of humanity!" Aria screamed with glee. "I'll turn everything to ruins, just as it should be! It's punishment for hurting us again and again!"

Yui was a bit jostled, but no worse for ware when they arrived. "What did you bring with you? Is that a child?" The sack was removed from around her head, making her blink up at the light. "B-bright," she stuttered childishly, squinting at the florescent beams that glared down at her from the ceiling. Yui looked around the space, trying to figure out where she was. A living room with squashy armchairs and a fire place with a holo screen that flickered with fake fire. Almost immediately Yui was transfixed, watching the fake fire dance flicker. "What's wrong with her?" Someone asked as Yui suddenly squealed when the fire crackled, a fake log popping and splitting into two. "I dunno, brain damaged or something," there was the pungent aroma of something baking in the air, some sort of spice cake mixed with the smell of hot chocolate. "Maybe she's hungry?" Someone suggested and a cup of something warm was pressed into her hands.

Yui looked down at the sippy cup full of hot chocolate, then back up at the holo screen. "Why did you bring her here?" Someone demanded, Yui wasn't really listening, she didn't quite care about who was speaking anyways. "We couldn't just leave a kid out there in the middle of the war!" Someone protested, their voices grating her ears. Yui took a sip from the bottle, the warmth traveling down her stomach, or maybe that was the spill down her front. "That mark, she's not one of us!" Someone snapped, "She's dark," Yui's mark gave off a dark aura, one that spoke of trouble. Her crimson colored eyes were unusual too, "yeah, but she's just a kid, I figured it'd be easy to influence her back to her our side." Someone reasoned and Yui felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked away from the fire and up at the person touching her.

"Hey there little one, do you have a name?" Yui thought about it for a moment, blinking slowly. "Y-Y-Yui-Yui!" She declared, remembering. "Okay Yui, do you know where your Mommy and Daddy are?" Yui wasn't listening to the questions, the holo screen had enraptured her once more. "Darkness has different effects on every mind," someone said knowingly in the background. "It could be that the darkness regressed her to an infantile state." Yui yawned, watching the holo screen, plus drinking warm chocolate was making her sleepy. "Think we can cure her?" Someone lifted her, cradling her gently against them. "We can try, but there's no guarantee it'll work." She was placed on one of the overstuffed armchairs, a quilt retrieved from somewhere else in the room.

"What if she escaped from that place? They say once you go in, you never come back the same. What if her family were prisoner's there?" They all knew where that place was, the place underground so few ever emerged from. "Well whatever the case, she'll be safe here." The bag had only been a precaution, they hadn't realized that Yui's comprehension levels matched that of a two year old. "B-bur," Raven's nickname, since Raven was a word she struggled with. Bird was easier to say and this, Raven had become Bur. "What's that? Bur? Is that someone you know?" Someone knelt in front of her and Yui rubbed at her eye. "Bur-bur," she repeated, her eyes filling with tears. "Shh, don't cry! Here, have some more chocolate."

Storm warnings were already cropping up all over the news stations. Aria had made herself invisible so the news people wouldn't realize she was the one doing it, they wouldn't see that it was a dark bearer that was swirling the air to make storms, to push the water all into one big chunk that could engulf the entire country of Japan in one crushing watery swoop, trapping everyone into a wet soggy grave. "We have no idea what this is." Yurei muttered, staring in confusion, as the most famous reporter on the supernatural. "There's no natural explanation, so it has to be related to the occult. But whatever the case, we should start evacuating the country. Will the Government stop the war and realize her people are in danger?" She was trying to rile people into rebellion, to make them realize that the Empress cared nothing for the people.

Meanwhile Raven was terrified as Mizuki and Xavier were being transported with her, ending up outside some big fancy sort of building, looking like a place that made broadcasts, judging by the antenna at the top of it. "Yui's in here, whoever the enemy is, they're going to pay." Mizuki shuddered, shivering as the cold was getting to her. They hadn't even thought to get warm clothes, their first and only priority was to save Yui and any second they wasted was a second Yui could be being tortured, could be having her limbs chopped off for medical research, could be violated in order to force her child to be the savior, any number of awful nightmarish things.

"I know this place." Raven growled, her eyes lighting up with recognition. "I know it, the people here, they claim to be a safe place for citizens wanting not to be affected by the war, they have internal gardens, schools, it's a whole community that wants to become independent and segregate from Japan." Raven was hissing with anger just at the thought. "These idiots, don't they realize the only society worth living in is one where Yui is safe? But they don't understand, they don't love her, so they're nothing but ants that can die for all I care." Mizuki nodded, whole heartedly agreeing with her lover and so Xavier transported them into the building with aplomb, all three of them knowing they had to be fast if they wanted to convince Aria to not destroy the world they were trying to make.

The first thing Raven saw were the tears. Yui was crying, she was crying, she was in distress, she was being held against her will. So she whirred her railgun and fired it into the air, grabbing everyone's attention. "You scum, you would kidnap a child and hurt her? Mizuki, get rid of this!" So Mizuki wheeled forward and smacked the hot chocolate away from the man. "Don't give her weird things, it's probably drugged with mind control crap." She growled, fingers sparkling with threatening electricity. "You made Yui cry, Yui's just a child." Raven grinned then, a deranged psychotic grin. "That's a crime punishable by death, didn't you realize?"

"Bur-Bur," Yui whimpered, drawing away from the people. She didn't want these people to touch her, she didn't know who they were or why they had taken her. "Here, have some, it'll make the cold go away." They seemed to think that Yui was saying that she was a bit chilly, which made sense considering she was wearing a sailor dress, the matching hat having fallen off somewhere in the snow. Yui shook her head, she didn't want any hot chocolate, she wanted Raven. "The poor thing must be confused," someone tsked, followed by a scream. Yui looked around for the source of the screaming, finding that Mizuki, Raven, and Xavier had all appeared in the room at once like magic. "B-Bur!" Yui stuttered, holding her hands out, wanting Raven to take her away from this strange place with these strange people.

"We didn't hurt her! She just started crying on her own!" Yui was shaking now, trembling in fear at the loud sounds that had filled the room. The hot chocolate spilled on the floor, staining the carpet. "W-wait! Let us explain! Please, we didn't do anything wrong!" The man with the beard sank to his knees, he too, was trembling, but for a very different reason than Yui. "J-Jared, explain to the Empress what it was that happened!" Jared turned out to be a woman, it must have been her last name, or perhaps a strange nickname. She stepped forward, her fists balled in anger. "We saw a child out alone in the snow, there was no one around, so we thought she was lost." The woman was speaking cautiously now through grit teeth, "We brought her here, thinking we should get her out of the cold considering she's not dressed for it," or mentally prepared for how cold snow truly was.

Yui hadn't expected the fluffy white stuff to be cold, she had thought it would be squishy. This too, was upsetting to her, thus only making her cry harder at the memory of how cold it had been outside. Xavier reached over to pick her up, lifting her out of the squashy armchair and into his arms. Yui seemed to calm at being held by someone familiar, her tears reducing to sniffles and the occasional hiccup. Xavier pulled something out of his pocket, a pacifier. "Paci," Yui reached for it, stuffing the pacifier into her mouth. She nuzzled her head against Xavier's chest, the boy lovingly trying to wipe up some of the spill on Yui's front with a napkin from the table. The woman called Jared crossed her arms. "We didn't do anything wrong 'side from bringing back a lost child."

"If anything you should thank us, otherwise goodness knows where she could have ended up!" Yui flinched at the loud sound, hiding her face in Xavier's coat.

Raven didn't hesitate, she went over to Yui and picked her up from Xavier's grip, Xavier needed to have both hands ready to quickly transport them to safety as fast as possible. But of course she had to stay on guard and she was the best fighter of everyone here so to keep both hands ready to fight, she placed Yui in Mizuki's lap, on her wheelchair. The puppet already had a pacifier ready and she stuffed it into Yui's mouth with a smile and a comforting shushing sound. "Don't worry, we're here now, you're safe, no one's going to hurt you. We won't let them." The people were protesting, these people that had fled their homes to stay in a community that wanted nothing to do with the Third World War Raven was waging. Her railgun was spinning and crackling with electric energy that could pierce a body and leave them dead.

"Didn't do anything wrong? Then why? Why is she crying, why is she shaking like this, what did you do that made her so scared?" Mizuki gently hugged Yui as good as she could, keeping her safely in her arms. "Did anyone hurt you, Yui?" She asked worriedly, turning her electricity off for the moment. "You're safe, right, you weren't hurt, they didn't make you eat any weird things?" Raven's eyes were blazing with nothing but contempt, but she wasn't about to kill anyone in front of the easily startled Yui. The child deserved better than to see something like a dead body. "If our scans show any harm, you can expect I'll be back." Raven said with nothing but a cold promise. "But if she turns out to have not a hair on her head harmed, we'll send you a thank you package." She had to be a good Empress, after all.

With that Xavier sent them right back home, and Mizuki placed Yui with Ally who was crying and sniffling and telling Yui not to leave her again, not to make her lonely and sad again. Perhaps it was more for their own instabilities that the entire family was so fixated on Yui, maybe the guilt of her ever being harmed was the real reason why they were saving her. But in any case, she was here now, at home and Mizuki had an idea. "Let's go on walks with her if she wants to explore more." She said with a shrug. "So she can be safe at the same time." Okay, that wasn't a bad idea, but something more important needed to be tended to. That being, Aria trying to bring about humanity's extinction.

Xavier transported Raven to where she sensed Aria's seeds and there she was, brewing up a giant storm, invisible, of course. Xavier had transported a helicopter too so they could be safe from the winds - or at least, as safe as was possible in a hurricane. "Aria!" Raven screamed into the megaphone that transmitted her voice extra loud. "We have Yui, she's safe, no one hurt her, so come back to us, don't to this yet! Save this for an emergency!" Finally the storm ended and someone was panting, floating, looking dizzy and weak. "Yui..." She muttered and fell and it was only by luck that Xavier caught her and transported back into the helicopter. Aria was shaking, convulsing, the darkness growing stronger. "I just hope Ally counts as an expert on light and dark tech, because Leo and the Doc are both gone." And so Xavier transported the helicopter back to the base, and then transported the three of them to the med room where Aria needed to be looked at before it got worse.

Yui had just been getting content in Xavier's arms when she was picked up by Raven, who promptly deposited her onto Mizuki's lap. Yui opened her mouth to try and speak, but Mizuki gave her a paci to suck on instead. Yui settled down in Mizuki's arms, nuzzling her head against Mizuki in an adorably affectionate way. She seemed tired, as though all of the activity of the day had drained her. She had climbed up fifteen flights of steps to get to the surface anyhow. The people were begging for their lives, they had all gotten to their knees, some crying and hugging, others silently accepting the fact that they might die today because of a simple misunderstanding. Yui didn't understand what they were all so upset about, Raven was here, everything was better now that her big sister had arrived, she always made the bad things go away.

When Mizuki questioned her, Yui shook her head. No, no one had hurt her, except maybe the snow that had made her cold. Yui shook her head again, the only thing she had drank while here was hot chocolate and it had tickled a little and had spilled down her dress, but otherwise they didn't make her eat or do anything weird. Yui reached up to touch Mizuki's face as though to make sure it was truly her before she settled down once again, tired and cold. Maybe tomorrow Ally would dress her in something more appropriate for the eternal winter. The sailor dress, while cute, wasn't very practical. Yui held onto Mizuki's other arm to snuggle since she had no stuffed animals to cuddle in this place.

They finally returned home, the misunderstanding over. "We should review the security tapes, it'll show what happened outside the building," as well as inside. If Yui truly had escaped on her own, well, it was something that needed to be fixed now did it? Ally had tears in her eyes as she grabbed at Yui, not wanting her to leave again. "A-Awy," Yui's pacifier fell out of her mouth as Ally snuggled her, Mizuki proposing that they take Yui on walks so that she wouldn't get so restless being down here all the time. Raven and Xavier disappeared again, Yui visibly upset by this. "Bu-Bu-Bur," she stuttered, reaching for the spot Raven had been in before. She had to do PT though, Ally had neglected to do it this morning after taking Yui off of her machines.

At least that had gone well, Yui was breathing on her own, her blood circulating without help and her heart pumping strongly. With Ally, Yui did the rest of her exercises, stretching and moving, practicing walking and falling down when let go of. Yui seemed perfectly happy crawling, but Ally was trying to get her to walk and speak without that awful stutter. There was a neat little device she had come up with that went into Yui's mouth to try and teach her tongue where it was supposed to go when speaking. "Awy," Yui winced, she didn't like the feel of the metal in her mouth. "A-LL-Y," Ally repeated. "A-w-eeee," Yui replied, Raven suddenly appearing with Aria, who collapsed onto a bed. "B-Bur!" Yui abandoned her post, crawling over to where Raven was.

Raven and Xavier returned with Aria who was shaking and convulsing, her mark was pulsating. Raven knew this was a risk, she knew Aria was the biggest risk for this. The girl was just so volatile, just so uncontrollable, it was near impossible to keep her light bearing mark in the delicate balance to remain dark and loyal but also not to the point where the dark illness is harmful for the body. It seemed Raven had messed up, and Ally quickly got up to check her out, bringing her favorite neon rainbow marker to help identify problem areas. "Too much dark, not healthy, bad, turtles are bad too." Ally said as if it was the most obvious thing ever, in this jibberish of a language.

"Can you fix her?" Mizu asked fearfully, having wheeled herself over to Yui and placed her on again, then wheeling all over the room in circles around the walls, occasionally bouncing the girl every so often to keep her as entertained as possible. "You have to fix her, she's my sister!" Ally paused for a moment but then she nodded, starting to draw. "Plug in filters here, marked with rainbow to make betterness and gold happy times." Ally said with a slight tilt of the head. "Will need fake made light too every day for a quarter of a moon cycle!" Or for a week, if you wanted to try to translate the insanity. Raven nodded then, grabbing the filters and plugging them in wherever Ally drew with the marker.

With that settled, Raven knew they were in trouble. Aria was one of their best, she was the only one that could jump into a battle and destroy everything and then get out unscathed. But now she was out of commission for at least a week, possibly more, not to mention her army was crippled after that giant battle near the Oushu sea. So she called up people, already starting to get into work mode. They needed to start rebuilding, to start fixing everything back up, they needed to if they wanted to make this world the paradise it was always supposed to be. For now they would force America's military to protect them but that could only work for so long since enemies were also trying to attack America for their surrender to Japan.

It was then that all of a sudden Xavier found an email on his old phone that he used to use. Attached to the mail was a video message from Jenny, she was saying that she was lonely without him, that she was scared because of all the war, because everyone disappeared. And Xavier was considering finding her and apologizing but then Damian took him by the arm. "No, you can't." He muttered, making Mizu sharply tilt her head up in alarm after wheeling Yui about the room a few times, then giving her stuffed animals to play with. "I'm the only one for you." Damian said loudly and Xavier looked conflicted and scared. Ally's jabbering about tickling bears to make Yui giggle wasn't helping either.

Ally left Yui to practice on her own, going to tend to Aria who was shaking and making scary faces. Yui watched, wondering what was wrong with her friend. "Ari," Yui didn't like the metal bit in her mouth, it was uncomfortable, but Ally had left it in so that Yui would get used to it. If they didn't fix that horrible stutter, it would likely only get worse until Yui couldn't speak sentences without sounding like a broken wind up doll trying to get out an entire sentence. Sometimes pain was necessary for the greater good, any physiotherapist would know that. So while Ally marked out the bad points on Aria's body with a rainbow marker, Yui sat in front of the mirror, wondering what she was supposed to do now. The metal made her tongue feel all funny, like it was trying to hold it down. She wanted to suck on her fingers, but the metal would make her fingers hurt.

Yui was so busy making faces in the mirror that she hadn't noticed Mizuki rolling up beside her until she was being lifted up. Yui squealed in delight, unaware of the pain Aria was going through. If Yui was aware, she would have taken it away, she would have begun to glow and her hair would have lifted, she would set those wide blue eyes on Aria until she was fixed. Yui's eyes were red now though and using her ability wasn't something they had been working on in therapy. If they had been honing it, Yui's skill would have come in quite useful at a time like this. If they trained Yui, Aria probably wouldn't need to step foot outside again, Yui would be able to take care of the issues that were arising about Raven's most trusted pawn.

Her talent for blood bending could have been stupendous, she could have become Raven's best asset and combined that with her Goddess abilities, Raven would have been able to take over the world in no time. Instead they opted to keep Yui here, in an infantile state, unable to feed herself or walk. For the fake light, some sort of light was still needed. They could use the concentrated kind, or they would use the kind that came from someone. Yui's body had the highest concentration, or at least it did before the darkness had begun to effect it. Now there was no telling what her blood looked like, it could be as pure and glistening crimson as it was before, it could have turned a deep mahogany. Or worse, her blood could be completely black and on the way to tainting hr soul.

Xavier's holo began to speak, making Yui jump with a start. When she realized that it was safe to not hide her face in Mizuki's chest, Yui slowly sat up. Mizuki deposited her on the floor, near a pile of stuffed animals. Yui crawled over and pulled herself in, disappearing among the toys. Ally waltzed over to find her, Xavier and Damian growing aggressive to keep one another from doing something. Yui sniffled, she hated loud sounds, they were scary.

Xavier and Damian looked as if they weren't very happy at all. One of them wanted to go to Jenny, wanted to tell her the truth of things, but Damian didn't want Jenny to mean anything to him, didn't want Xavier to care about anyone that way except for him. "You won't go, I won't let you." Damian insisted in a low growl, clinging to Xavier so that he couldn't move. "You're not allowed, you have to stay here with me because we love each other." Things were getting intense, especially when Xavier punched the wall, forcing Damian away from the startling noise. "You don't control me!" He shouted, annoyed by this mess and Mizuki decided to cover Yui's ears except she had crawled away to go play with toys. "Yui, come here, it's okay." Mizu whispered as the boys starting arguing.

But in the end nothing could really stop their fight and in the end Xavier just transported away, no doubt to get Jenny and then Damian's face twisted in an ugly horrible way and then he crumpled and started to cry, which was enough to make Ally go to him, suddenly in doctor mode. "Are you in pain?" She asked with blank eyes. "Where does it hurt, tell Doctor Ally so she can make the booboo go away." Damian was crying, he looked so sad it hurt. "I love him but he loves Jenny more, he cares about her more than me." He said and then Ally looked in confusion and shook her head. "That isn't a booboo." She said simply. "Where is the booboo? Doctor Ally will make it go away!"

And then Damian's crying stopped which made Ally nod in self satisfaction at her good doctoring even though she hadn't even done anything, she was now coloring tiny little sceneries all over her leg, almost in a trance with how intently she was patterning her body. "That's right." Damian said with a high sort of giggle, smiling to himself now. "I can make her go away, and then Xavier will only have me." Mizu was staring, not really disturbed or anything, but something like this wasn't appropriate, not for Yui so she picked Yui up and put her back into her lap, grabbing a random selection of toys. "Let's go find Haru, I'll show you what real love is." She said, also somewhat in a trance, and just by saying Haru her cheeks went pink

So the two wheeled over to Haru's office but the door was locked and she was stuck in calls. Mizu tilted her head and then she got frustrated especially because all she needed for the heat to be turned on was for Haru's voice to be heard. The moistness was already beginning and she squirmed resltessly. So instead she put her finger in Yui's mouth with a demented sort of grin. "Hey, lick it, suck my finger." She said in a low, almost strained voice. "Do it, please, let me get to Heaven, Yui!" That was when a certain soldier walked by and picked Yui up out of Mizu's grasp. "Don't do weird things with her." He muttered seriously and Mizu was left to suffer from her own heat, from the seed stimulating her brain in all the worst... or best ways.
