Drake had never been one for getting up early, so when he finally pulled himself out of bed the sun was just starting to go down. He groaned to himself, rolled out, and grabbed some clothes to throw on. Nothing too fancy, just a white cotton shirt and some darker cotton pants. Jean...if he remembered correctly.
He grabbed his bag to search through what money he had. Quite a bit, which wasn't usual for him. He looped the bag of precious coins around his wrist before he pushed his way out of the cottage and started a brisk walk into town. He had to make it before all the venders started to disappear.
Drake didn't really like living in Olimpious. Humans weren't the best company to keep with the job he had. Even as he walked with essentially no one noticing him, he felt as if holes were being stared through his back. He was, after all, the biggest walking, talking, version of a traitor.
He preferred the vampires.
Made that made him sick, he wasn't completely sure. He didn't suppose he really minded either. He had only stayed at the cottage because he knew he was going to need to make it to the market on time, which he was barely doing anyway. If he had stayed the day in Akeldama there was no way he would have made it at all.
He wanted to be back. Right about now things were winding down in the human world, but in the vampire world they were just getting started. A grin crossed his face at the idea. One that was suddenly thrown off his face when he almost hit his ass on the ground.
A cat. He'd almost tripped over a cat. Being the animal lover he was he jumped out of the way from stepping on her just in time, but there she was. A beautiful black cat.
With a kid not far behind him. Couldn't have been older than a pre-teen. Drake smiled apologetically. "Sorry man, didn't see her. Blends in and all." He reached into his pocket and grabbed a coin. Something gold. He tossed it over with another smile. "Just in case she's hurt."
Then he twisted on his heels, a stand locked in his sights. A clothing stand, mostly. The girl who ran it was quite, with long black hair and mixmatched eyes. He liked her, she seemed a little weird and that had always been his type. He just hoped he could catch her in time. He really needed a dress for his sister...which he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. At all.
