Place of Origin
Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Family Tree
Samuel Jordan (Father, deceased)| Aaron O'Connor (Step-Father, 46)| Cathy O'Connor (Mother, 49)| Casey Jordan (Brother, 24)

Happiest Memory
It was on her tenth birthday, she had stopped celebrating birthdays because her family couldn't really afford to get presents or anything. She had wanted one thing that year though...to meet her father. So her mother drove her to the prison where he was at and allowed them to meet. Even though this seems like it would be an odd happiest memory, it wasn't for her. Because that was the only memory she had of her real father.

Saddest Memory

Watching her brother being driven away in the back of a police cruiser, after taking the fall for something she did.

History
As a child growing up she never really knew her father, most of the pictures she has of the two of them together indicating that she was to young too have any real memories of him. Her mother on the other hand was happy of this fact, considering she began dating a man named Aaron when Catrina was eight years old and wanted her to think of him as her father. Aaron seemed nice enough, and only Casey - her older brother - seemed to be able to see through him and knew him for what he truly was. Of course Catrina soon came to face the demons that lay behind Aaron's kind blue eyes, but that wasn't until much later in life, after the man had gained her trust. She had turned thirteen when she began to notice the bruises on Casey, and her concern grew as they did day by day. It wasn't until witnessing an argument between Aaron and Casey though that she put two and two together. When she confronted Aaron about it she ended up with a few bruises herself.

He was showing his true colors indeed, but her mother couldn't see it. Things went on like this for a few months, until the two siblings found a way to stay out of dangers way. They took to staying away all day and crashing at friends houses during the nights. If they had to go home they never went alone and stuck close to each other or their mother - he couldn't do anything in front of her and it was obvious if he tried to hurt one of them while the other was around they would protect each other. They showed him that no matter what he did he had no power of them.

But of course things don't always work out for the best. During her teenage years Catrina had gotten into stealing things, and she was exceptionally good at it. She managed to get everything she needed by stealing it, food, clothes, money. She tried to only take the necessary things at first but as time passed on she began to thirst for more. Greedy, she made a plan with a few friends to rob a bank - a bank of all places. She thought her plan was fool proof...But she hadn't anticipated that the friend she brought would have plans of his own.

Armed robbery wasn't in the plans, they were just supposed to go in there and take what they could, not hold the place up. The instant she saw the gun she was out, but Casey didn't have the time to get out with her. It was probably by luck alone that nothing was pinned down on her, but for Casey it meant years in prison. Leaving Catrina alone to deal with the aftermath of what she had done. Her mother kept her on lock down for months, meaning she was stuck at home and had to deal with Aaron nearly 24/7. But she took that time to get stronger, and plan carefully for her next move. She had the money, she had the means, and she knew that with a little luck she could make it on her own.

She left her home, her family and friends, and traveled as far away as she could. Somehow she landed in Manhattan, managed to find a job as a waitress and got a cheap apartment where she could live in peace on her own. She does keep in touch with her mother by means of writing letters, but she doesn't miss her home in the slightest. She only misses her brother, and though she writes him letters he never sends any back. She hopes someday he will forgive her. (Editing more)

Mayday! Mayday!
The ship is slowly sinking
They think I'm crazy but they don't know the feeling
They're all around me,
Circling like vultures
They wanna break me and wash away my colors
Wash away my colors

Take me high and I'll sing
Oh you make everything okay (okay, okay)
We are one in the same
Oh you take all of the pain away (away, away)
Save me if I become
My demons

I cannot stop this sickness taking over
It takes control and drags me into nowhere
I need your help, I can't fight this forever
I know you're watching,
I can feel you out there

Take me high and I'll sing
Oh you make everything okay (okay, okay)
We are one in the same
Oh you take all of the pain away (away, away)
Save me if I become
My demons

Take me over the walls below
Fly forever
Don't let me go
I need a savior to heal my pain
When I become my worst enemy
The enemy

Take me high and I'll sing
Oh you make everything okay (okay, okay)
We are one in the same
Oh you take all of the pain away (away, away)
Save me if I become
My demons

There's a memory of how we used to be
That I can see through the flames
I am hypnotized as I fantasize
Forgetting lies and pain
But I can't go back

The ashes call my name

Pouring the fuel, fanning the flames
Breaking the habit and melting the chains
Embracing the fear, chasing the fight
The glow of the fire will light up the night
The bridges are burning, the heat's on my face
Making the past an unreachable place
Pouring the fuel, fanning the flames
I know, this is the point of no return

It's uncontrollable
Such a beautiful desire
There's something sinister about the way it hurts
When I watch it burn
Because I can't go back

The ashes call my name

Pouring the fuel, fanning the flames
Breaking the habit and melting the chains
Embracing the fear, chasing the fight
The glow of the fire will light up the night
The bridges are burning, the heat's on my face
Making the past an unreachable place
Pouring the fuel, fanning the flames
I know, this is the point of no return

I won't turn around

Even a well lit place can hide salvation
A map to a one man maze that never sees the sun
Where the lost are the heroes and the thieves are left to drown
But everyone knows by now, fairy tales are not found
They're written in the walls as we walk in a straight line
Down in the dirt with a landslide approaching

But nothing could ever stop us from stealing our own place in the sun
We will face the odds against us and run into the fear we run from
It has begun

Into the dark below, evading shadows
Blind in a rabbit hole, we fall beneath the earth
And watch the shell come unraveled as the seeds begin to rise
Awaking a starlit fate as we wait in the night
It's written in the walls as we walk in a straight line
Down in the dirt with a landslide approaching

But nothing could ever stop us from stealing our own place in the sun
We will face the odds against us and run into the fear we run from
It has begun

When she heard those all too familiar cries from the room next to hers, Emily smiled. "Makaylaa.." She said in a soft, nurturing tone. Makayla had quieted down slightly as she'd heard her mother's voice. Emily picked the one year old up, running her fingers through the little hair she had. "Good Morning, LeLa." She continued, and set the child on her hip, and swayed her only a few times before going to the small changing table in her nursery. Emily did their usual morning routine, and changed her diaper, dressed her in her clothes for play, and picked her back up to go to the small kitchen in their tiny apartment.

Pluto, and Vixen wagged their tails happily as they saw the two, and jumped at Emily's feet. "Okay, guys, okay." Emily scooped a cup of dog food out of the bag they kept behind a closed door, in the pantry, and put half of the cup in each of the dog's bowls. Makayla giggled happily as the sight of the puppies being fed. Emily chuckled to herself, and set the baby in a pink highchair she'd gotten when she was just about to have Makayla.

"Say 'ahh' for Mommy, Lela!" She talked to the girl, and the baby tilted her head, her hands moving randomly. She smiled and opened her mouth as her mother had instructed and seemed surprised when she got a mouthful of food. Some of the applesauce oozed out of her mouth and onto the bib she was wearing, and Emily chuckled.

Soon, the hour long task of feeding was completed, and Emily held Makayla on her shoulder, rhythmically patting her back softly, until she was rewarded with a burp. Makayla laughed, and grabbed Emily's ponytail, she and hurriedly put in as she woke up that morning. "Hey, don't pull Mommy!" The baby only giggled, and smiled big, waving her arms about.

"Emily? You're going to be late!" Makayla's babysitter, and Emily's best friend from work shouted as she came in. Elizabeth worked at 'Joe's BBQ' with Emily, and always had the opposite days of the mother. Emily's eyes widened, and she carefully handed the laughing baby over. "I'm so sorry, Em! I must have woken up late!" Emily rushed into her room, pulling on the cowgirl boots, after squeezing into a skirt, and button-down, plaid shirt. After putting her cowgirl hat on, and name tag, she pecked Makayla's thinly haired head, and waved to Elizabeth. "Thanks again!" The woman, near her age, waved back. "Anytime!"
