Introduction
The Horse Territories are where creatures with special abilities reside. They are thought to be demons by the humans of the lands it stands between, horses that were taken to hell, and given their power there. They look like the average mares and stallions, but they are not. They are carriers of the power of nature itself. There are four breeds, possessing the power of the elements they are named for.
Earth horses: These animals have hooves as hard as diamands, and, while flightless, can run great speeds, easily matching the flying horses in speed. They are mostly brown and dark grey, showing their affiliation with the ground they walk upon, and blending them in with most forests and rocky places.
Air horses: These creatures are some of the most common, yet least seen. They have large feathered wings atop their backs, and hollow bones, allowing them to fly at good speeds. Their pale colouration, chracteristic of their species, allows them to blend seamlessly in with the clouds.
Fire horses: These are the most powerful of the horses, having an actual control of their element. These are the most often seen, as even though it too can fly on bat-like wings, it does not blend in with many things. They are mostly black, chestnut and palamino, which makes them noticable against most backdrops. As they're seen the most often, they are the reason people fear the horses, since they can breathe fire, and have "demonic" wings.
Water horses: These are another common, but rarely seen, breed. They mostly appear in black, as they tend to reside in deep water, often living in air pocket caves, mind you, they do also appear in dapple grey. These creatures have the ability to breathe underwater, and create an air pocket around around the head of their riders.
Caledonia is a land almost designed to make her people tough, with the cold, the mountains and the sea stealing her way in. These factors have made her people fishermen, or naval battlers. The Krokotops have made near to no headway because the Caledonians, while they are spread out and there aren't half as many people as there is in just the capital of Krokotop, are an extremely tough, hardy people, in mountainous, defendable areas. These people are seperated under different cheiftains, who meet every season change to discuss how things are going in each of their lands. Though they often argue amongst themselves, sometimes fighting each other, at the moment they have a common enemy, so they discuss how to work together to win the war. These people have also lerned to weave warm clothes, very unlike the linen in Krokotop. These people, while brilliant sailors, are not a large player in trade, simply because they are very self reliant, and seem to ignore that there are other countries out there, except for the land they are fighting, krokotop.
Krokotop is a large desert, with people whom have learnt to survive in it by digging wells for water that is deep underground. They are much more cunning as a nation, and have very good sea defences. This has stopped Caledonia from getting any headway in the war. These people are ruled by one man, the pharaoh, and have a very Egypt-like culture. They wear linen clothes, to help against the heat of the desert. The land is rich in gold and silver deposits, making it a strong country in trade.

"She should have noticed by now where she is." One commented.
"Come on, she'll be dead before nightfall in there. Saves the executioner some time out of his life." Another, older guard announced. She heard them all turn and head back, away from the horse territories, and back to the town. Ida kept running, but at a slower pace now. A pace which continued to slow until she was walking, looking at the deep forest around her. Suddenly, the trees opened onto a river's mouth, with the sea stretching from it's maw. Ida stood, looking out at the blue expanse, but then saw something dark move beneath the wave. She whipped around to look at the now still dark shape. The waves obscured it, making it difficult to identify what it was. She decided it would be best to look at it from a higher vantage point, so the waves obscured it less. She clambered clumsily up a nearby tree, and inched along a thicker branch. Just as the brach got thinner beneath her, the dark shape moved again, coming closer to the surface. She couldn't quite believe what she was now seeing. She could see what looked like a horse looking up at her from the shallows.
"I must be seeing things." She murmured, rubbing her eyes. Then it hit her. She was in the horse territories, it made sense that the water horses could breathe underwater. She opened her eyes again, only to find herself looking the horse straight in the eye, as he had come out of the water to have a closer look at her. She stayed still while the animal smelled her elbow, which she slowly straightened until he was smelling her hand. Though she had heard all the stories about these creatures, she had never believed them. She just couldn't find it in herself to fear an animal, especially at this moment in time, when the water horse in front of her seemed as curious towards her as she was to it...
--
'A young girl skidded down the side of the bank, to the level of the chestnut horse before her.
"You alright?" She asked, already knowing the answer, as she could see the arrow in it's flank. She gently patted the bleeding shoulder, soon removing the arrow. She ripped the hem off her dress, covering the wound quickly. She had some difficulty, thanks to the bat-like wings being awkward. She sneakily led the horse to a safe place, which cannot be recalled at the moment. She assured the horse he'd be safe there, then turned to leave.
"I'll be back to check up on you... Arrow" She called back, taking a moment to think of a name.'
"That was some time ago, huh, Arrow?" A mounted red haired woman said down to the stallion she sat upon. The fire horse looked back at her, with a small twinkle in his eye.
--
Pharaoh Amatun would not find out about the escaped slave until the next day, and he wouldn't hear about her with any significance, as everyone had already assumed her dead. Little did he know the impact this one girl, and a few others, would have on Krokotop.

Anna had been awake when the call came in and had heard every word. She had immediately sprung out of bed to spend every last minute that she could with her father until he absolutely had to leave. Her father chose to spend the remaining time with his daughter building her a small sea vessel since Anna had always been such a big help working on his sea vessel.
She honestly did not know what she would do without her father, whom she had been extremely close to since before she could remember. She still had her mother around, but her relationship with her mother was nowhere near as close as that with her father had always been.
As Anna was looking out to sea, she thought she saw something swimming way out deep in the water. It began to swim closer and closer to her until she realized it was a horse.
"It most likely swam in from the Horse Territories," thought Anna.
The horse came closer still and Anna could see that it was a lovely dapple gray horse with a white stripe running from its forehead to its nose. The horse seemed reluctant to get too close to her. Anna decided to slowly approach the horse and try to show it that she was a kind person and would do it no harm. The horse seemed nervous as she got closer to it, but as her hand made contact with the horse's nose, it seemed to calm down considerably.
The horse stayed with Anna for the rest of the afternoon, playing and swimming with her. Anna decided a good name for her would be Misty. She could not help feeling that this horse would be the perfect companion for her now. Lucky for her, the horse felt the same way.
---
Misty watched as this girl came towards her in the water. She had chosen to approach this human in the first place because she had looked so sad and not all threatening.
Misty looked up at this kind girl and realized this was who she wanted to stay with. This human girl was unlike any other she had encountered so far in her life and for once, Misty felt safe with and completely trusted this human. This girl could be her companion and help protect her against all the people who thought that she and all her horse friends were demons who needed to be stopped.
---
Anna smiled as the last rays of the sun began to sink beneath the clouds. She had gone from her life being perfect to her life being terrible to her life being almost perfect again. She knew she would still miss her father terribly, but she could cope with him being gone for awhile now that she had Misty as a friend.
He began to trot as he sensed the clearing nearby. Picked up his rocky canter he broke through the vines and trees and into the sky. His black, bat like wings a total contrast to his pure pristine body, but he didn't mind. He was going to go visit the lava beds. Sure, it was on human land, but what did it matter to him. He landed on the hard ground and cantered a few steps forward before slowing and finally, stopping. I bent my head near the ground and used my fire to make a large circle around my body. I laid down in it and rested, always alert.

Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
Mind you, I'm in another time zone, so I can't post very quickly like some do.
Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
Sorry for late reply, this RP has been dead, as far as I know. I still haven't checked the IC mind you. If it turns out to have lived while I was mourning it, you're in.
EDIT: I'm sorry, I think it's dead, but I'm still here and willing to roleplay in it. It could revive, I think.
And also, before you reply to the roleplay IC, you do need a character sheet. That's if you used the forms and stuff to make the roleplay. I gave up on that because the IC parts confused me. From now on, I'm just going to do it the old fashioned way.
Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
If anyone knows, I just created a RP and I can't figure out how to reply(fail, I know) It just has my intro and a "reply to this Roleplay" button. When I click that button, it shows a charactor sheet. Do I have to remake it or something so people can reply?????? I'm so confused!!! Someone, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
I see nothing happened while I was away, so that's kind of good.
Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
Chris45 GET YOUR CHARACTER IN, IF NOT IN THE CHARACTER TAB, USE THE IC THREAD I PUT UP MANUALLY.
Also, tell me if anything happens while I'm away.
Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
So it's either poke them until they do, or just use the thread that was my giving up.
Re: [OOC] The Bondings (Open)
I think, if I ever make another roleplay, I'll just use the forums, they're easier to understand.
