It is a snowy day in Aravale. Beautiful white flecks fall from the sky and seem to glitter on the ground. It is a blanket of pure white that envelops the streets and plains beyond the walls. Just outside the Kingdom, however, a glow appears in the air. At first it is small, but soon it grows in size. Sparks seem to spout from the light and it is slightly electrified. The hue it gives off is that of a light blue. All of a sudden, a girl appears from the light. She has very dark brown hair and brown eyes. She appears to be unconscious or on the brink of it. As the light behind her disappears, she falls from about 5 feet in the air to the ground, making an imprint in the freshly laden snow. She lies, now unconscious, on the ground.

The young mermaid, Nerine, swims around the water. She enjoys doing flips and tricks under the water and cresting above the surface. She laughs with amusement. Now it's time for her to find Aleiia, her best friend. They have always been close, ever since she was young and first brought here from Liridale. A fish swims up to her silently and she holds her hand out for him. She smiles and kisses the friendly fish. They swim away from each other and Nerine continues her search for her friend.

Demetri Saunders

Demetri sat on the roof of his small cottage near the edge of Aravale. A large broad sword strapped to his back, with an insignia of Aravale printed on the leather, he sported warm Aravalein hunter's gear to protecting him from the elements. A leather tunic, with a thick cotton long sleeved shirt underneath, that he had oddly pulled up on to his elbows, he wore thick cotton slacks, shin and wrist guards, a sachel at his hip which held his Father's book of Shadows, and long leather riding boots while covered in a long dark green cotton hooded cloak . All with the Aravale insignia printed on the material.
He just sat there, on the roof, daydreaming as the snow fell softly around him.

His mind was busy today, he was stuck thinking of ways to protect everyone from these conflicts that were looking more and more like war. He didn't want that, he couldn't have that.

He had friends all over this world. The wise Queen of the Elves, the Gentle lady of the forest, the happy Princess of Altantia the Royal family of Aravale and so many more. He could just sit idly by and watch them kill each other and he would not take a side.

He sighed.

Suddenly, a light caught his eye, just to the west of him. He cut his green eyes in that direction and they widened as the light grew larger and larger. He knew that light, he'd seen it once before, just before he.....

"Shit!"

Demetri slid off the roof, hopped down landing solidly on his and took off toward the stables, He found a single midnight horse, he named - comedically at the time- Atreyu, he knew no one here would understand the reference but it was funny to him. He hopped the horse, through up his hood and they darted off toward the source of the light.

Once there he stopped dead in his tracks, a frown lowered his brow as he found a girl laying unconsciously in the snow.

Aleiia-Serria

Aleiia sat at the banks the neared the land of Morinae, her dark hair still soaked wet as she treaded along the egde, her bronze skin glistening as while she watched the winter animals play. Her body still in the water, save for her arms and head.
She smiled as a family of rabbits trotted along, a little one, one as white as the falling snow noticed Aleiia and hopped over. Aleiia smiled brightly, held out a still webbed finger to the small creature. She brushed her finger over it's soft fur and the rabbit seemed to enjoy it. Aleiia giggled as the rabbit shook it's little head and rushed off. She waved goodbye and doved back down to the warm waters of Atlantia.

Once home, she spotted the flinting form of Nerine.

"Nerine! Hello!" Aleiia cried with smile, and darted toward her, all but crashing into the girl as she swept her up, by her hands and spun around. "I saw rabbits today! I got touch one, it was soo soft. I do not think I have ever felt anything so soft before!" She said happily.
"You should come see them!" She said, already attempting tugging the poor mermaid along. Nerine was always the more responsible of the two and it was probably for the best.

Near the edge of a forest sat a very well disguised trap. Too small to catch anything noteworthy, but small enough to catch a small morsel. Tied to the small cage of twigs was a small strand of twine that led all the way back to a bush maybe 8 feet from the cage. A figure was in the bush, hunched and waiting, it's smell seemingly gone or disguised at the moment. This scene had been set for several hours, and the would be hunters trap had yet to be fruitful.

Soon, a small hare began to wander into the scene. It even began to wander close to the cage! It spent several moments sniffing the cage and inspecting it. It then spotted t\a carrot just underneath the trap. It carefully approached it, sniffed the orange treat, then began to nibble on it. Just after, the twine tightened and the trap sprung on the rabbit. It was now squeaking inside its new prison.

The figure leaped up from the bush. "YES!!!" The young man exclaimed. HE then ran over to the cage. He had a mess of brown hair and five o'clock shadow. He was wearing blue loose clothing with leather and steel armor over his chest. He ran and slid right next to the cage. "4 hours! After 4 hours of waiting, I finally get to eat!"

He reached into the cage and pulled out the rabbit by it back tuft. He held it aloft as he pulled out a knife. He then raised the knife and looked at the rabbit. Though.....the knife never came down. The rabbit just kept staring at him, and he at it. After almost two solid minutes like this, the man turned his head skyward and screamed "DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He then sheathed the knife and dropped the rabbit and it scampered away.

"I'm so pathetic, I can't even kill a defenseless rabbit. Some monster I am." Felix sighed. He then looked to the cage. "Well, at least I still have the carrot." Felix grabbed the carrot and was about to stick it into his mouth, but he saw something out of the corner of his eye. It was the rabbit. It was staring at the carrot. "Oh, no. This is my carrot. You should be more grateful I spared you, now you expect to just hand over my last bit of food, not a chance." He went back to putting it into his mouth, when the rabbit released another small whiny noise. Felix glared daggers at the rabbit. Fidgeted for a moment, then handed it the carrot. It began to eat it vigorously.

Felix's stomach began to growl. He hadn't eaten in two days and the carrot was lucky find at that. He had no hunting or tracking skills and had been relying on the kindness of strangers to get by. Feeling defeated, Felix stood up and began walking the dozen feet or so back to the road. Right when he reached it, he turned around and flopped down onto his back, his upper half on the road. He was tired. "Good as place as any to nap." He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

"No come back bunny!" Screamed a young girl, she couldn't have been older than sixteen. Dirty blonde hair bouncing up and down as she ran after the small white creature. "I just want to be friends!" The elven ran through the forest chasing the creature. The landscape around her slowly changed as she ran ran away from her home in Elvae. The trees were bigger and untamed growing far larger than any in the elves kingdom. Random leaves, twigs, and other small things scattered the ground. The girl stopped running for a moment and looked around, the bunny was no where to be found.
"Bunny? Bunny! Where are you? Come on out, I only want to be friends. I wouldn't eat you, I really don't eat rabbit. But, what would rabbit taste like anyways? Would it be all soft and squishy? Or hard like a rock? Speaking of rocks, the mermaids always find the coolest rocks, but they never share. Why I can't I see some of their rocks, specially the really cool see through ones, I won't drop 'um. Well, maybe I will, but I'd never drop them to be mean. Like, 'Grr, I'm going to break your rock!' But, the mermaids still wouldn't let me touch them!" The girl said to herself, at a rate so fast only she could understand what she was saying. Far to preoccupied in her blabbing, she didn't notice the sleeping man that lay in front of her. In mere moments she tripped over his legs and fell face first into the ground, waking the man from his slumber.
"Huh." He said groggily, rubbing his eyes.
"Oh shit, I'm really, really sorry mister I didn't see you there. Hey have you seen a bunny I was looking around for him, but he hopped off somewhere. Hey, I don't recognize you, and I mean I've at least seen most people. I've been everywhere. I almost went to the Liridale once, but it's all dark and spooky and stuff. People say that everyone is mean there, but I bet there not all that bad. Maybe they just need a hug. Oh, silly me. I didn't tell you my name, how could I be so stupid. I'm Annabelle Kaye Xavier, but you can call me Anna everybody does. I mean to everybody, but just the people that I know or people that know me. It must be so weird to know someone, but they don't know you. Wait what was I saying? Oh yeah, names! I get sidetracked so easily. So mister, what's your name?" Anna tapped her hands against her thighs.
"Uh, Felix." He replied.
"Well, nice to meet ya Felix. That's such a strange name, you know. I've never met a Felix before. It kinda sounds like flex, but it's not flex it's Felix."

Nieve, Lady of the Forest

Nieve sat in a large red wood tree. Her deep green eyes hidden behind their lids as willed the winter to remain calm.

The Dryad Queen held her staff in her hands, as the crystal atop, glow a bright ice blue.

Suddenly, there was a vicious change in the world's aura and Nieve's eyes sprang open.

"It has happened again." Nieve rose, and moved purposefully as she walked out of her throne room and out the the high balcony that looked out over Morinae. To her east, a bright light beamed brightly.

Nieve looked down.

"Con'ken." She called to her right hand, a loyal creature to whom she holds to such a high regard.
She rushed down with such grace it appeared as if she were floating.

"Con'ken, It is happening again," She said when she saw him. "The portal that allowed young Demetri into our realm has opened again." She told him. "They will be more, We must find them before the Demons do." She told him urgently and with that her body broke into the form of many fall leaves and floated away on the wind, and it carried her toward the light, she knew without a doubt that her loyal Wolf would be right behind her, if not beside her.

They say all stories have a beginning, don't they? It doesn't matter if it all starts in media res, they all had to start somewhere, right? This is the story of my downfall, and it started here, in Liridale, not because of any mistake I made, but merely because this tale decided it had to exist. As a matter of fact, by the time you started hearing this story elsewhere, either by travelling storytellers, your grandfather to help you get past a sickness, or even in the form of friends trading tales over a fire, it was all over before the first syllable. Let's get one thing straight. I am the villain, the evil overlord, the Big Bad. There was no happy ending in sight for me the moment I made the first kill. But I came in knowing this was a story, and I'll see it through to the end, don't you worry none.

I'd left my lair(all good little villains and villainesses have them) that morning because I'd heard tell of one of the Fair Folk in my kingdom, and apparently, he wasn't exactly the good kind, according to the blood on his hands. Tracking him down was no issue, all the double-crossing spies under my domain were more than capable of doing so for me, and I, of course, showed those that had found him my thanks by giving them each a concubine(Hey, good spies are hard to come by these days.), then approached this pixie alone once I had found him.

"Oi." I said, leaning against one of the dead-looking trees that seemed to litter Liridale(Interesting thing one of my mad scientists learned in his studies, that is their natural look, they evolved to absorb all of their nutrients from the blood soaked into the soil, the dead-looking part is their "leaf". Their sap is also a wonder, acting as a catalyst, a resin, and medicinal herb all in one, great for fixing broken bones.) "Heard you were looking for a place to belong. Well, since I have no taste for dancing around things, I'll come right out and say it, I would love for you to come and serve under me, my domain is always expanding, and always in need of people of any sort. We'd find you your place, and then get straight to work. Is that agreeable to you?" My staff was leaning on my shoulder, ready to snap to action if he tried to attack.

Suddenly, something jolts past Felix and Anna. It is a unicorn, pure and white. He rears onto his back legs and lets out a whinny. Shaking his long mane, he drops down onto all-fours and continues to run in a large circle around the two. He shakes his mane as he runs, and even if one didn't understand the language of Unicorns, one could tell by his mannerisms that he was having quite the time of his life. His whinnies seemed to be laughs as he spouted them from his snout. After a few minutes of running around Felix and Anna, he runs into a field of purple flowers nearby and begins to graze, flicking his tail from side-to-side with delight.

Just then, a yelling could be heard from a distance. A breathy yelling. The kind of yelling you would hear from a friend who had been chasing you for miles in a game of tag. With attention now on the mysterious shouts from a distance, the silhouette of a person begins to run up the hill a few miles away. After a few moments, the silhouette gets closer and closer, revealing the true person behind the shadow. It is a beautiful, young Elven woman, calling after something. However, she does not make it to Felix and Anna. She falls to her knees from exhaustion several yards from the two of them.

Nerine smiles as Aleiia tells her of the land-animal she witnessed today. Nerine never really had too much of an interest in the land, not that she didn't visit from time to time. She preferred the water, the colder, the better. Nerine followed Aleiia as she swam and was quiet for a while. she spoke after a few minutes.
"Hey, Aleiia? You know how Liridale is kind of...forbidden, right?" she pauses for a moment and then continues, "Well...I was thinking...maybe...maybe I could go see it. I mean, I was born there and I have weird powers of ice which, I guess I got from there, but I don't know. I just...I want to find out more about myself and I feel like that's where it is..."

She knew she was asking a lot of Aleiia. Even if she didn't come with her, which she wouldn't want. It's dangerous there, especially for the princess. She wanted to go alone. So she explained,
"There's an old tunnel that leads to the waters of Liridale. It's protected by magic, but I think I can dispell it...I would just go over there, stay in the shadows and out of sight, learn a little bit, and then come back, easy as kelp!"

Charlie gave a long sigh. She sat at her large, mahogany desk staring at a stack of papers. Running a finger through her hair and taking a sip of coffee, she smoothed out her yellow, long sleeved dress and flipped through the papers. The cool of the wood floor on her bare feet made her shiver, and she wrapped her blanket further around her shoulders and holding it firmly in place at her chest. The window in front of her gave a perfect view of the kingdom of Aravale. She wished so desperately that she didn't have to stay inside to study so that she might have the freedom to play in the snow as she had when she was younger.

Avery gave a small huff, throwing her phone down onto her bed angrily. She was sick of arguing with her brother, who for the third time that morning had told her if she wasn't going to add to rent, she would have to leave. She had argued that being only 19 severely limited her job opportunities, but he simply shook her off and told her to pay now or get out. She had been staying with a friend for nearly a week and it was apparent that she was beginning to overstay her welcome.

As she slipped into her black leather flats and pulled on a navy colored, long sleeved shirt, Avery dropped her pocket knife into her pocket. The morning had proven to be too stressful for her and she desperately craved a quiet nook to curl up in with good book. She left her friends apartment and locked the door behind her, heading for the small library for the day.

"Hey, Aleiia? You know how Liridale is kind of...forbidden, right?" Aleiia cocked her head to the side, confused. "Kind of Forbidden?" She repeated with a laugh. Aleiia opened her mouth to speak but Nerine spoke her turn. "There's an old tunnel that leads to the waters of Liridale, It's protected by magic, but I think I can dispell it...I would just go over there, stay in the shadows and out of sight, learn a little bit, and then come back, easy as kelp!"

Aleiia grinned and took Nerine's hands. "I shall hel-"

"Princess Aleiia-Serria,"
called a familar brooding voice. Aleiia rolled her eyes and bit the side of her lip. "I will meet with you, but I have to shake him first, Go." Aleiia whispered before turning to the guard that she quickly evaded this morning. Father always had some sort of guard with her at all times.

"Master Ordovician." She sighed heavily. "I just went to see the Rabbits." She said.
"I would have taken you."

"You wouldn't have let me touch one?" Aleiia said defiantly, giving Nerine the perfect opportunity to go. "Princess. Your Father put you under my protection...."
"From a little rabbit, please." She said and then swam off the other direction, Ordovician followimg after her.

Kabal Fear

A cold air blew through the red hair of strange, demonic-looking boy as he sat calmly in Liridale. This wasn't unusual for the Pixie. He was always leaned against a tree, or perhaps actually in the tree, watching the many citizen pass by. He never really spoke to them, there wasn't much point. It seemed pointless to go off talking to people who would either ask for too much or ignore him entirely. So, the Pixie sat and watched.

Of course, he couldn't fake the kind of interest he had when a certain villain approached him. His eyebrows raised, if only slightly. Was he actually coming this way? The narcissistic, self-proclaimed leader of Liridale was headed toward him? A small smile came to his face as Lucius spoke up.

"Oi." Kabal's smile widened. He looked up lazily and gave a small nod, if only to show that he was listening. It was amazing how quickly the people of Liridale had noticed the lazy pixie. He was shocked the self-proclaimed leader hadn't bothered him earlier, considering how many times Kabal had stared at Lucius with less than energetic interest.

"Heard you were looking for a place to belong. Well, since I have no taste for dancing around things, I'll come right out and say it, I would love for you to come and serve under me, my domain is always expanding, and always in need of people of any sort. We'd find you your place, and then get straight to work. Is that agreeable to you?" Kabal slowly raised a hand to scratch his head before he thought about a response. How much effort would this take...? It would allow him to observe the leader at a closer level, so it may be interesting...

"My place...?" His voice came out scratchy. Odd, he hadn't spoken in longer than he thought. "That's interesting, I wasn't aware I had one." He smiled darkly and stood shakily. He had lost quite a lot of strength in his time here, perhaps he should eat something soon... He glanced Lucius over before grinning a slightly unsettling grin.

"Well... If you want me to work for you, I can't say I would mind," He sighed softly and stretched lazily, "I'm worth very little, as my wings are tattered, my magic is weak, and I'm nothing but a pain to look at, but I'll gladly follow you around if needed." With this, Kabal crossed his arms and stared a Lucius.

So this was who was going to be leading him around now? Interesting. He would have to do. Kabal closed his eyes for a moment. Would this get him off the streets of Liridale? Perhaps he could see his homeland again... A small smile came to his face. That was a nice thought. He opened his eyes, ignoring the pain that he had just realized he was in. He should take better care of himself... But what was the point?

"So, what will you have me do, master?"

"Huh?" Felix mumbled as he felt something strike his legs. He hoisted himself up onto his elbows to take a peek. It was a young girl. She immediately pulled herself and began......talking? Yeah, he was pretty sure she was talking. Just much much much faster than a sane being would do. He didn't believe she knew what a run on sentence was......or maybe that's all she knew. At one point he believed she asked him his name. "Uh, Felix." He said, trying to sound nice. She then began to "talk" some more.

After she seemed to have finished, Felix sort of just stared at her for a second, then spoke. "Well then. Um, it was nice meeting you.....strange talky girl, but I'm going to go back to sleep now. Bye." Felix then lowered his head to rest.....right in time to see 4 hooves digging into the dirt, and in a bout a second, his head. He immediately jerked his head up. "Goddess above!!" The hooved creature then pranced about him and......Nakaye? Was that her name? She was talking pretty fast. Wait, no, Anna! That was it. So the creature pranced about him and Anna, neighing....happily? It almost sounded like it was laughing. It wasn't until moved away from them to graze in a field of Lavender that Felix actually saw what it was.

"Well shit.....a Unicorn." Felix said rather matter of factly.

It was then that he heard a distant noise, like somebody yelling. Felix sighed very very heavily as he sat up onto his butt. He looked up to the sky. "It's gonna be one of those days.....isn't it?" he said seemingly to no one.

Felix then looked towards the noise. It was a young Elven woman...though with elves you really can never tell. She was the one calling. She sounded and looked exhausted. He sympathized with her. Then when she was several yards away, she collapsed to her knees.

Felix sighed. "Damn my chivalry."

He then got up quickly and jogged over to the girl. He then got down in front of her. He noticed that even when noth kneeling, he towered over her. "You should rest here a moment. That must be your Unicorn over there. He won't be going anywhere any time soon. Here." Felix gently took her hands and cupped them in front of her. "What I seek is the Rain Cloud! Mizuchi!" Felix drew a small circle in the air as he spoke. A small blue magic circle the size of a tea plate materialized and shot a trickle of water into her outstretched hands. When she began to drink, Felix visibly relaxed, forgetting to maintain control over the spell.

The circle then sprayed a mass of water into the young girls face. "Shit! Sorry! In his panic he slapped the circle away, but it just turned it around and it then proceeded to spray him in the face, the intensity of the stream picking up due to his emotions. After several more moments, Felix clapped his hands together and the circle disappeared.

Felix then laid back, face completely drenched and filled with water. He fountained the water out of his mouth into the air, looking defeated. "Yep........one of those days."

Nerine waited outside the passageway for what seemed like hours. She knew Aleiia had to get one of her many guardians off her fins, but this was taking too long. Nerine sighed and looked at the magical barrier that covered the entrance. Slowly, she raised her hand and used her ice magic to freeze the water barrier in front of her. Using watery force, the ice broke, opening the tunnel. Suddenly, she heard a noise. Swimming quickly, she hid in a dark corner inside the cave. From what she could see in the darkness, it was a merman, probably one of the guards who occasionally peruse the area, making sure the barrier is still up.
"Down again" she heard the merman said. She could hear about two others swim over.
"I suppose we should fix it." another said. Within a few moments, the barrier was back in place and the mermen swam away. From inside the cavern, she could see a small hole above her. Using her animal speak, she summoned an octopus. It sat before her as she spoke.
"Okay, I need you to go out that hole up there and bring a message to Princess Aleiia. I need you to tell her that I got inside the barrier, but they shut it behind me. I'll be back soon." Nerine said. The octopus waved it's tentacles in response and squeezed through the hole and swam off. With that, Nerine swam down the dark path.

Image

Maedwen cleaned her face off and looked at the young man before her.
"You're...you're a human...?" she crawled backward with fear and her bright blue eyes trembled. She began to reach for her bow and arrow slowly as she backed away further. Her white hair stuck to her face because of it being wet.

Image

After swimming for what seemed like hours, she finally saw a dim light. Swimming up to the surface, she saw the dark castle of Liridale. It was intimidating. There was no city, just the remains of one. However, it felt familiar. Swimming quietly, the cold waters felt natural on her skin, calming even. Suddenly, she noticed a silhouette in the distance. She swam closer, making sure to keep silent. Ducking behind a rock, she could faintly see Kabal and Lucius.

The King of Aravale; Theodred Everest

Theodred had woken up early as he usually does and walks the castle looking over the staff, who was already up and about. He went to go to his office and realized he heard a long sigh from Charlotte's room. He was getting ready to knock but just opened the door instead. He looked out here window seeing the populace below. "Hello my dear. You seem troubled. Is there anything you would like to talk about." He sat himself on the edge of her desk. He figured she would remind him of her boredom and he wondered if her true father would have been so strict about her duties. He then sighed as he missed his older brother who should have been king.

Aaran Sonwerd

Aaran heard a knock upon the church's door. He quickly moved to the door and opened it. It was the local baker coming to pray for his son who had been sent away to mage school. "Is the church open yet Aaran?" Aaran smiled to the man and ushered him in and lead him to private prayer both. The old man smiled back and began to pray to their god. Aaran walked back to the side office sat in the chair behind the desk and prayed himself.
"O holyest one please deliver me from my eternal boredom." He laughed a bit to himself.

Casper Lazurus

Casper awake from his typical routine. He had drank himself to sleep after winning a few dice games in the tavern. "I wish that everything in this country was not so ... strict." He daydreamed a bit about the one time he was almost close enough to touch the princess. "Damn she is lucky. Living up their all the servants, and having so much room to herself." He looked around at his own lodgings. The walls were wood and covered with paintings but the wood was stained to some odd color and the paintings were all broken or had been stolen by former inhabitants. The bed was lumpy and the sheets were most the way clean. He got up threw on his clothes and stepped out into the light. "Another day, another heist that needs doing." He said as he walked on down the street.

Aleiia-Serria

Aleiia sat in her chambers, watching her reflection in the mirror of her vanity. She sighed.

She already knew the amount of trouble she would get in once her father found out that she ditched her detail again.

But she wanted to be free. Truely free, not guarded. A part of her understood, he'd already lost her mother and didn't want to lose her too but at the same time, she'd thought that's why he'd taught her to fight and fight well. She was dangerous with her tonfa. She outdid Ordovician a few times.

She moved to the opened when that overlooked the city. She smiled when she saw the market. It was where she'd first heard tale of the worlds outside of this one. The bard's song made her want to explore the world. She could still hear his songs when she closed her eyes at night.

Just then a octopus floated up to her and Aleiia watched it dance around signing information it'd recieved from Nerine.

"They blocked the barrier...." She said musing over this. Aleiia got a bad feeling about this. She'd give it time though, she said she'd be back, she'd give her til supper.

Demetri Saunders.

Demetri rushed over to the girl, his feet crushing the soft snow beneath him. He knelt down. She was beautiful, he had to admit, For a human. He'd seen alot of beautiful women in this world. Inhumanly beautiful, so compared to them, she was average but still, she was lovely.
He scanned her body for any injuries and as far as he could tell there were none. So gently, Demetri scooped the girl into his arms, he pulled his cloak from his body and wrapped it around hers. He then gingerly carried her toward the horse, all the while wondering how the hell he was going to explain to her what just happened, or if she could explain to him how she got here. As far as he knew, only he had the Book of Shadows, so how'd she get here...?

Charlie jumped, startled at the presence of the king. "There's just so much I don't know. It often worries me to think about it." She gave him a sweet smile and took a drink of her coffee. She took another long look outside and set the cup down. "I think I'm going to take a stroll through the kingdom, Father. Do you need anything from the market?" She clutched the sides of her dress. It grazed the floor and kept her black riding boots hidden. She couldn't be 100% princess, no matter how hard she tried. She tied her hair up to keep it out of her face and leaned back in her chair. A bird caught her eye in the window and she looked up to see a beautiful eagle soaring through the snowy air.

Con'ken

Con'ken came running when he heard her call out to him. As he got up to her she said "Con'ken, It is happening again," she paused "The portal that allowed young Demetri into our realm has opened again." She told him. "They will be more, We must find them before the Demons do." He went to answer as she turned to leaves and disappeared. He sighed and then smiled "She does that all the time." He stripped his shirt off and began the transformation as it ended him in his hybrid form. He sniffed the air and chesed after his queen. He could smell her scent even when she was only a pile of leaves on a strong wind. He was only a few steps behind them.

Badhorn Halerider

Badhron had been following the tracks of a human through the forest around the Elvae capital. He had finally come upon the three standing in the clearing (Felix, Anna and the Princess). He then noticed the princess was visibly frightened and he drew his bow and began to sneak closer trying to see if she was in trouble. He attempted to be very quiet but sadly with his focus on the trio he did not notice the twig and when his full weight fell down upon it, it made a loud snap. "Shit." he whispered

Still lying on his back he spoke while raising a finger in the air. "Well.....Mage, but, yeah, I guess so. Though I think I'm probably going to live longer than a human. Magic and all." He normally didn't speak this much, but since people had just shown up around him. he might as well speak.

"Why? Haven't you ever seen..." He cut himself off as he looked up and saw her face. Fear. Her entire face was racked with it. He felt a pain in his chest. How many people had looked at him like that? How many......too many. She was even slowly reaching for her bow. He sighed heavily. "I get it." He said, his face looking much more sad and tired. He slowly stood up and brushed himself off. Not even looking at the beautiful young elf girl.

"I'll go, you don't have to worry." He supposed he could always try and explain himself to the girl, but no one else had listened, why should he treat her any different. He waved to Anna, as if to say goodbye with a small smile on his face. She was an odd, but seemed very kind. He then slowly walked around the young wet girl. He stopped halfway around, he then looked at her. "Sorry again....for getting you wet.....I didn't mean to. It's....just been awhile." He then patted his legs a few times awkwardly, then kept walking.

He stopped again, not looking at her. "You know.....you're probably right to be afraid of me. Where I come from, I'm known as a monster." He shook his head a little, then began to walk away. He had gotten maybe a few feet when he heard a loud twig snap. His military training immediately kicked into over drive. He leaped backwards, where he was now in between the wet elf girl and the noise and he threw both of his hands out in front of him, showing the pentagrams carved into his palms as a child. He stood there in that position, waiting.

The King of Aravale

He smiled at her as she called him father. "No darling I do not need anything from the market. Be safe. Maybe you should take a few members of the guard with you." He shook his head "Nevermind I trust you to your be safe." He turned out of the room and closed the door behind him heading to his office to begin the work for the day. He smiled after he realized that she was wearing a nice dress and riding boots. He laughed to himself "She will never change."

Patience

Patience was sitting in a room by himself waiting for Lucius to call upon him. He sensed the light and smiled "Lucien Will be very interested in this." He disappeared and began searching for Lucius. He had no idea where he was. Finally he picked up his trail and began walking on the path about thirty feet behind him. He ran to catch up to him and realized that another was standing there with him. "Master who is this?" His mind went back to subject at hand. "I feel the great light again my lord."

Nieve, Lady of the Forest

Nieve's leaves swirled before Demetri who looked up with a slant grin. Nieve's body formed out from the leaves, her tall frame standing before him with a gentle smile.

"Good, You've come. I am glad." She said. Demetri nodded. "Yeah, I saw it. I didn't know if it was an exit or an entrance." Demetri said and Nieve gave an easy smile. "Which of the two, piqued your interest?" She asked and Demetri looked down, his brow rose a little and his lips were pressed into a thin, as -like many of Nieve's questions- he didn't know how to answer, it didn't help that she spoke in rhyme.

"Doesn't matter, She came out of it. She's human like me." Demetri said, holding the dark haired girl in his arm. Nieve looked down with a smile as Con'ken arrived.
"Apparently."

"I still don't know I got here, so for it to happen a second time...."

"It is indeed a strange happening, but I felt it when you entered and I felt it again. We will have to wait until she awakens." Nieve narrowed her eyes some at the sky, Demetri looked up as well but couldn't see what she could. "There will be more, the portal hasn't closed, yet." She said. Demetri frowned. "Really, Well, I can put up one other person, how many do you expect?" He asked. Nieve frowned some, with a glance to Con'ken. "Then they can come with us, until we can alert the King of Aravale of their arrival." She said, her hand brushing against Atreyu's mane. Demetri looked down at the girl, he looked a little unsure but she knew he trusted her opinion, just as she trusted..."Don't you agree, Con'ken?" She asked him.

Con'ken

Con'ken speed through the forest ending up in the clearing near Nieve. He was panting as it is not often they run for such long distance. He allowed his form to revert back to human and he stood their shirtless. He listened to the conversation intently sniffing at the air trying to get the scent of the young girl. She smelt innocent enough but sadly so did the boy at first and he turned out to be a strong warrior. "Yes mi'lady the human is your best bet. Though I'm sure our presence in his land might cause more problems then it helps. The people sometimes do not share the kings compassion." He sniffed at the air and looked up at the portal. "How many do you think will come through?"

Badhron Halerider

Badhron watched as Felix turned himself around and pointed the weird magical symbols in his direction. Badhron's normal reaction would have been to fire the arrow already notched on the bow. Yet he figured if he fired the shot he would have jumped upon by the magic and who knows what it meant. "What are you intentions with the Princess Mage?" He lowered his bow but did not undo the arrow from its position on the bow. "What kind of monster are you really?" He wanted to see how the human reacted to that statement.

"Yes mi'lady, the human is your best bet, though I'm sure our presence in his land might cause more problems then it helps. The people sometimes do not share the king's compassion." Con'ken said and Nieve nodded with a smile. "Very well then. Demetri, take the girl back with you, alert the king of their arrival-"

"How many do you think will come through?" Con'ken asked and Nieve closed her eyes and focused on the flow of energy between the realms.

"I sense but three but I cann not be sure, I get the feeling there may be more."

Demetri looked down at the girl.

"Alright, Lady Nieve, I'll take the girl to Aravale, and let the king know what's up,"

"What is up?"Nieve frowned a little confused. Demetri laughed a little."I mean, I'll him about the portal and stuff." He said gingerly lifted the girl on the horse and then boarded himself. he leaned her back against his chest and with a quick nod to Nieve and Con'ken before taking off.

"I have bad feeling about this, Con'ken. The portal closed immediately after Demetri's entry, yet with this girl, it has been left open and more are free to enter, I am not sure what will come of this, as Demetri said. It could have very well been an exit as well as an entrance."

Demetri Saunders

Demetri made his way toward Aravale, keeping the girl against his chest and kept the ride as smooth as he could so not to wake her too soon.

He slowed his trot as he approached the castle steps. "Tell the king Demetri has something to tell him." He told the guard. Demetri had a pretty good reputation amoung the people in Aravale. He wasn't a knight per say but was regarded as one. Some even called him 'Sir' due to his closd relatons with the King.
Demetri waited on Atreyu with the girl wrapped warmly in his cloak. He hopped she wasn't hurt, all this riding probably wasn't the best idea but a car wasn't exactly a possiblity. a slant grin lined his lips. He was glad this girl was here, in a sense. She'd understand his references.

Keiran Ogygia

Liridale. Everyone warned Keiran not go go there. It was an evil place, they said. He could be killed or worse, they said. For his part, Keiran ignored the warnings. He was warned about the surface too and that didn't stop him. Besides, he knew enough stories to avoid the danger: don't eat a house that was magically made out of candy, don't sell your donkey for magic beans, don't make a deal with forces you can't begin to comprehend, etc. Unfortunately, he forgot the ones about trolls eating merman soup.

"Ow! You know, maybe you can turn the fire down just a tad. I mean, I like a warm bath as much as the next guy, but this is getting a little ridiculous," Keiran told the cook from within the kettle of water he was currently in. The troll looked at him dumbly before stomping on the fire, causing him a yelp.

"You idiot! I told you not to listen to his voice," one of his hosts scolded. He glanced at them. Three in all. Now, why was three trolls eating someone familiar? Oh, yes. It was the most cliche story he knew. Quietly, he hummed, creating the illusion the water was boiling even as he hid his summoning of burst of water to put out the fire from their sight. Okay, as long as he hummed, they would think he was being cooked. Wonderful.

Beren Kiran

The King of the Elvae stood in front his palace, his eyes searching the city and surrounding forest for a certain someone. His daughter had been away for hours. He had already sent out a search party, but he was beginning to worry. Didn't he tell her she could only trust the people within her own kingdom? There were many enemies of the kingdom who would love to take her hostage. A frown marred his handsome face.

"Maedwen, you silly girl," he murmured. Despite her age, he still thought of her as a child. In many ways she was. She did not know of the dangers of the world, no matter how much he lectured her.

Aleiia-Serria

Aleiia sat waiting long enough. She went from mildly worried to downright afraid.

Liradale was not a place to go alone and besides she did say she'd go meet up with her so Aleiia decided she'd go find her. She went out the window and toward the surface.

With a splash, Aleiia reached the surface. The scales on her face disappeared almost instantly. She was on the shores of Morinae, where she kept clothing to keep her warm. The water below was warm where she was from so the snow was a little much. She dressed blue slacks, a cotton pale blue tunic and short boots. She managed to dry off quickly and dress. She strapped her bladed tonfa to her back and made her way toward Liridale.

Aleiia was light on her feet, and was able to keep herself hidden pretty well as she entered Liridale. She looked around the place, this place was forbidden, and was so for a reason. She took deep breath as she passed a troll cave, keeping light on the balls of her feet as she skipped by the cave opening but just as she reached the other side of the cave, a humming stopped her in her tracks. Her eyes widened.

She knew that voice. She knew she knew that voice...

Aleiia sent a prayer to the Goddess and ducked inside, crawling on her hands and feet. Her long legs reaching about her like spider. She peeked her head around the corner and noticed a merman in a pot. She clasped a hand over her mouth. "By Pele." She breathed as the cooks got to preparing him for supper.

She narrowed her eyes and the voice struck her.

The storyteller.

"Storyteller!" she called out and quickly closed her hand over her mouth.

"Oops"

Soon a troll snatched her up by the collar of her tunic. Aleiia flailed around as the troll carried her toward the pot where the Storyteller was soaking.

Aleiia held out her arms, the water in the pot swirling around viciously before shooting out in a violent water spout. She hoped the storyteller was okay.

"Get off me!" she squealed as the troll tumbled backwards. She grabbed her tonfa from her back and slice off a finger with one. She dropped to the ground, luckily her boots protected her feets so she wouldn't turn back Mer whilst trying to run away. "Come, Storyteller, We must go." She said and realised, he wouldn't be able to run. She looked around for something to dry him off. She found a dish towel which for a Mer, it might as well be a blanket.
She dragged it to him. "Dry off, Quickly! We haven't much time."[/font]

Con'Ken

Con'ken smiled at Nieve and then looked back up at the portal. "That mi'lady is the thought plaguing my thoughts the most. If the portal connects us to Demetri's realm I wonder if it can be used to put creatures from this realm into his former homeland." He thought about it a second. "I do not trust the people of Liridale in their way not to possibly try to exploit it." He moved closer to her as he untied his shirt from his thigh and slide it over his shoulders. He sniffed the air one more time to ensure they were alone.
"I will stand guard you should return to your home incase something comes up in Morinae. I will stay here and ensure that if any more come through here then at least I can protect them." He turned his head to the side and cracked his neck. In a way he hoped those demons attacked as he was a bit in need of some sport. He put his hand on her shoulder "Ultimately mi'lady the decision is yours."

The King of Aravale

The guard ran through the castle to The kings study. Despite his efforts to focus on the paperwork of the country he had fallen to sleep. "Mi'lord Sir Demetri is in the court yard wanting you attention immediately." The guard blinked blankly and walked up to his king and shook him.
"What!" screamed Theodred the guard had startled him "I mean what is wrong." The guard explained the situation to him about Demetri. "Thank you guard return to your post." The guard let him quickly heading back to his position at the front gate. The king got himself a glass of water and drank it as he walked to the courtyard. As he walked in he saw the girl and Demetri holding her onto the horse. "Demetri I thought you were ..." He stopped when he realized that her clothes were something similar to what Demetri had worn years ago when he first came through. "What has happened? Where did she come from? Why did you bring her here?"

"That, Mi'lady, is the thought plaguing my thoughts the most. If the portal connects us to Demetri's realm, I wonder if it can be used to put creatures from this realm into his former homeland." Con'Ken said and Nieve nodded. "I do not trust the people of Liridale in their way not to possibly try to exploit it." he added and Nieve nodded. "Indeed," she said as he moved closer to her as he slipped on a his top. "I will guard, you should return to your home incase something more comes up in Morinae. I will stay here and ensure that if any more comes through here then at least I can protect them." He said and as much as she didn't like the idea, she knew he was right. Her place was in Morinae, where she could protect her people best. Con'Ken in all his strength would do fine here. "Ultimately, Mi'lady the decision is yours."

"You are correct as always, Con'Ken. Stay, Protect the
Otherworlders as they enter and their portal." She said with a gentle touch to his face. "Be Well." She said and again, her body dispersed into a swirl of leaves and floated off toward Morinae.

Demetri Saunders

"Demetri, I thought you were..." The King stopped and looked at the girl. Demetri looked down and pressed his lips together sheepishly. "What has happened? Where did she come from? Why did you bring her here?"

Demetri took a breath and gave it a shot. "Well, A portal opened just like when I came through, She came from where I come from. OtherWorld as you called it and I brought her here because as you can see she's human. In order to keep her safe, Nieve, thought it would be best if she said here, in Aravale, she'd blend in better, just as I did." He said and sighed.
"Bigger probelm though, Nieve says there may be more, possibly three more. They'll be human and the portal hasn't closed." Demetri said, still holding on to the girl. "I think that about covers it."
