"Before coming to Buckley two years ago, at the junior high school I was attending I did have a girlfriend. We had gotten together in the seventh grade and she was the one who had told me about the school. She was trying to get in on an academic scholarship and she had convinced me to try and get in on an athletic scholarship. She had been so sure that she was going to get in and she wanted us to go to the same high school. So, I had told my parents and they had let both me and Lyssa try out . . . or in Lyssa's case audition. I got into Buckley based on my sports performance, Lyssa got in because of her dance aptitude and in the end, my then girlfriend didn't get accepted for a scholarship. She was low key pissed and had tried to play it out and act like she didn't care and that she was happy for me. Of course, she wasn't and while we lasted through the summer - two weeks into our freshmen years she called it quits. Dumped me. Blamed it on the fact that with us going to different schools now that there was distance growing between us and she rather call it quits before something like us falling for other people caused us to split down the line or some bullshit like that. The truth was she was jealous and bitter that I had got into Buckley when she hadn't and she couldn't play the role of the supportive girlfriend and just be happy for me and my little sister. It's whatever I guess. That was two years ago and am over it."
