|Name| Sebastian Rolfe

|Nickname| Sebastian does not like being called, Sebastian, it sounds way too noble or fancy for his taste, reminding him of all the hope his mother and father had in him to a successful man when knowing he is far from it. So instead he goes by Seb, a three letter word simple and short. But he will say if you want to get all cutesy call him, Sebby.

|Gender| Male

|Age| 23

|Role| The Chosen One

Temperament and Talents

Image
|Positive Traits|
  • Adventurous- There use to be a part of Seb that loved adventure, it was the whole reason why he ever got into dragon racing in the first place. It was because Seb left his parent's home to discover something for himself to make them proud. And because of this he not only found a fire-breathing beast, but he tamed one. But now since his career was ruined Seb really quite hasn't had an adventure, he really has not move from the tavern where he spends most of his drunk life in, unless he is kicked out and passed out on the dirt. But Seb misses that adventure, he really does.

  • Communicative- Seb likes to talk, but not in an annoying way, well half of that it is true, but Seb likes to talk through problems or arguments. When someone is anger at him, he does not want to stay quite but instead get right to communicating about what he did wrong to offend the person in the first place. Seb like to understand someone, he's thoughtful that way.

  • Forgiving- If you know Seb then you know someone who doesn't hold grudges. Seb does not really believe in revenge, he believes you are only hurting youself if you want to burden yourself with someone that doesn't even deserve your time.

  • Easygoing- Seb is a relaxed type of guy, he does not sweat the small stuff. He just does not like to be stress out and he believes everything is going to work out in the end somehow, someway.

  • Honest- Seb hates lies, thus he refuses to lie. Besides he will just tell you straight up what he thinks. In other words, Seb is an open guy.

  • Humorous- Seb likes to keep the atmosphere light with a bit of humor. Sometimes he will tell knock-knock jokes if he so extremely desperate to keep matters as way from a dark and brooding mood. Some may find him annoying for this others funny. But everyway he is going to tell some kind of joke corny or not.

  • Good- Above all, Seb is a good guy, he really is, Seb just likes to act like he is not. But Seb is caring and kind person in the end. And if he had to make a final decision, its evil he will not allow to win. Because Seb knows evil kills innocents, and he hates to see innocent people die, or really a slaughter of any kind.

||Negative Traits||
  • Alcoholic- Seb is known to be quite the drunk, but how he help it, Seb loves alcohol. And anyone would know where to find Seb, wherever and whenever the strong drink is being served.

  • Selfish- Seb thinks about himself first, well at the beginning of the tale he does. But if you break through that part in his heart he really does care about others. But for now, he is have no want nor intention to leave his favorite bench at tavern to run around looking for some sword that he doubts even exists and he doubts the princess has visions. But there is one thing about Seb, he loves to compliment himself.

  • Whiny- Okay, so Seb complains a lot, especially if he has to hike, he knows he is out of shape because of all the drinking he has done. So, jogging, hiking, walking, really just moving his legs cause him enough to complain about it. But if things do get horribly wrong and there is no way he can even find some way to be happy, he will whine.

  • Lazy- As said before, Seb is not the most active guy, not like he use to be. Maybe it takes some exercise and practice to get him back in the mood of fitness, but for now he is lazy.

  • Sarcastic- Sometimes Seb's words are marked by irony in order to mock or convey contempt. Some may find it quite alright, others may find it annoying or just rude. But truly it is not so much of a problem and others may make it out to be.

  • Flirty- Well Seb is a flirt, how can he lie, he likes women and there's no doubt about that. But he's the guy that tries to act cute, sometimes it works other times he gets a slap to the face when spouting out flirty lines. But no matter Seb's that time of guy. However he can be charming when he really likes someone, in that moment there is no other word to describe him other than precious.

  • Lack of Hygiene- Seb is not known to smell the best, okay, he smells like cheap alcohol most of the time. He finds bathing a waste of time when you could spend time chugging down mead.

||Hobbies||
  • Drinking- this is pretty clear by now, Seb drinks a lot. But because he does have a high tolerance, he does not get nearly as drunk as people emphasis.
  • Playing his lute- After his dragon riding career was over he tried to become a bard, but there was one thing he has no musical talent, but that won’t stop him from trying, believing if he stopped then that would be another thing he can add to his list of failures. But hey, when he strums his lute he might even sing, not saying his singing is any better than his instrument playing.
  • Thinking of the past- Whenever Seb does shut up, it’s because he’s thinking of the past and even though he thinks people shouldn’t hold grudges, he is guilty of holding one against himself. It’s like he cannot forgive himself for letting his dragon friend die and being a failure. He wished there was any way he could go back in time and make things right, maybe he would turn out better.
  • Juggling- When you live a boring life like Seb, most likely you’re going to get bored and find someway to entertain himself, therefore that’s what he did with juggling. One day he decided to toss a bunch of rocks around and figured he learned out to juggle pretty fast.

|Quirks|
  • Gambles- Seb will not only engage in a few card games or a roll of the dice, but he also makes bets no matter how pointless or childish they are.
  • Stretches- Seb not only likes to stretch often but will always stretch before a fight even if his enemy is right there, afraid he may pull a muscle while in the middle of a carrying out an action.
  • Wood carver- When Seb was a boy he didn’t have any toys at first, so he took small chunks of wood and would carve out little animals out. Seb still has continued this odd hobby for a man like him, but it reminds him of home. Seb prefers to keep his wood carving a secret though.
  • Spills- Seb is infamously known to be clumsy when he carries any type of drink, sometimes he does it on purpose out of carelessness or just to get on someone’s nerves. But no matter if Seb has a drink in hand most likely somewhat of it is going to land on the ground or you.
  • Hums- Seb does not like silence, so when no one wants to talk to him he will start humming. But if someone tells him to stop humming, then he will just bring out his lute and start singing just to annoy them.
  • Hugs- Seb loves hugs, sometimes he just suddenly will give one impulsively or if someone is getting pissed off at him, he'll just offer a hug, most likely just to annoy them.

|Skills/Strengths:|
  • Throwing knives- When Seb was a dragon rider he used throwing knives quite often in races where knocking a rider off his dragon was allowed. So one good way to make sure a player falls off their beast is stick a knife in them.
  • Dancing- Seb likes to have fun in life, and what’s more fun than dancing? A lot of people would be surprise Seb is a pretty good dancer when it comes down to it. But dancing is a good way Seb can release any extra energy inside.
  • Hunting- Seb comes from peasant folk and his father brought him on hunts because they could never afford any of the market goods. So learning from his father, Seb was instructed how to survive by hunting prey. This also means Seb learned trap-making in order to make hunting more successful.
  • Plant Identification- Seb knows what is poison and safe to eat in the wilderness, he learned this also from his father because they never purchases their own produce, instead they gathered.
  • Tracking- Tracking did not only help Seb on hunts with his father, but also when finding his dragon, although it is not that hard to identify a dragon print.

|Weaknesses|
  • Slow reflexes- After all the sluggish days and lazy nights Seb’s reflexes are not as fast as they once were when he was a famous dragon rider.
  • Low stamina- Part of the reason why Seb does not like any cardio work is because he does not have a built endurance, thus he does get tired easily.

    ||Inventory/Weaponary|| Seb is more of a rogue, he fights with dagger he also uses like throwing knives. Seb also of course has to bring his alcohol around so he carries a little container that basically looks like a hip flask if he’s not already holding a bottle in his hand. He also carries a lute around he will practice with in his free time. Seb also carries a pouch that he almost never lets anyone sees, it is a pouch carrying all of the wooden figurines he makes.

|History|
From Peasants
Seb’s mother and father are peasants and the reason why they ever named him Sebastian is because they had faith that their son would grow up to be a noble figure in life. Sebastian is just a rich and honor-sounding of a name. As for Seb’s childhood however his mother and father were hard-working and good people, sometimes Seb wondered why such righteous people are forced to live in such poor conditions. So since from an early age Seb sought out to be something successful in life.

Dragon Rider
When it came the time Seb had to leave his parent’s home and start his own life, he had to clear his head. So, he went on an adventure, a way to flee from the troubles of a peasant life and perhaps find inspiration of what to do with the rest of his life. Therefore, on his journey he tracked down a dragon, hearing stories of the beasts, he decided if he would somehow trap the dragon he could kill it and gain loads of cash selling its skin and bones. But when he captured the dragon he could not help but feel sorry for the creature, so he first healed its wound he caused and then freed it. But when he freed the dragon it delighted in him healing it, he soon learned the dragon was a female to which he named Meadow, because she was beautiful and brought a lingering peace when he was with her. So instead of killing Meadow, he trained her to be a fierce dragon able to compete in races.

When things first started off, Seb and Meadow was a success. It was until Seb was riding in riskier races, races where the riders would try to knock each other off of their dragon or hurt their opponent’s dragon in order that they would not be able to complete the race. And on one particular race Meadow took an arrow straight through the throat causing her to fall. And the only reason why Seb made it out alive was because Meadow concealed Seb close to her chest and shielded him with her wings in order that he would not die. He was lucky enough that only his legs took a blow.

Drunk
Since after the death of his friend Meadow, Seb felt like a failure. So, he stopped trying to be successful in order that he will not fail again at something, or worse let others die because of his recklessness, or so he believes. Seb started with a few drinks, thinking maybe three would get him over his sorrows, but the number of drinks just got bigger and bigger as time passed, soon enough he was known to be a drunk before Zalthu’s kidnapping of the human king and now. But Seb has a chance to become a hero, will he laugh it off, or finally leave his drunken lifestyle.

So begins...

Seb Rolfe

Seb awoke abruptly when a bucket of water was splashed against his stubble-bearing face. With his eyes immediately open he noticed where he was- outside of the Broken Bottle Tavern lying flat against a pile of dirt. Why? Seb had no idea. And besides, none of that mattered to him right now, well he hoped it wouldn't because he couldn't remember anything. Instead Seb rubbed his throbbing head before his eyes were drawn to his hip flask that remained on the ground with him but not on him. He grabbed it and immediately tried to gulp down any amount alcohol he had left, but sadly to him, Seb had ran dry. He even tipped the flask all the way upside down to make sure he did not have a drop left. Sighed in grief he attached the container to his hip before looking over to the two people that now stood in front of him.

Still lying down his eyes directly went to the princess as he gave in a smile, ignoring the other person by her, which was actually her guardian. Seb then found motivation to actually get up so he did so... slowly and steadily. Even when Seb was up he groaned as he stretched, grabbing his hip, "Ah... I think I pull a muscle out of place." It was clear Seb is not the athletic type, not anymore.

But suddenly Seb broke out to his knees before the princess as he grabbed her hand. He flipped his long brown hair back as he introduced himself in his best impression of a Prince Charming, "Well hello, Princess... eh..." How awkward, her name slipped right out of Seb's mind. "Um..." That's when he remembered. "Tamora--- Princess Tamora, it is I, Seb." The reason why Seb just said Seb was because he didn't wish to call himself Sebastian Rolfe because first of all just the name Sebastian sounds way to noble and fancy for his taste. And second of all the reason why he didn't give his full name was because he didn't want to be recognized as that once champion dragon rider that ended his career as a failure. But Seb did wonder if the princess would recognize him anyways because he did compete in a race for King Soren Ronan once and won it. Though he doubt it, because it was not like he got to meet her up in person.

"At service, but first, let me do say your highness if you kiss me, I promise I won't turn into a frog," he flirted. "Ahh... Perhaps its better you don't believe me and instead find out by yourself." When it came to the ladies he was a flirt, it was his way of being playful, but if he really did like a woman, then it was apparent because he would pester her with flirts the most. Seb decided at the end of that sentence to give in his best wink at Princess Tamora and so he did.

Khedas Marblechest the Vanquisher of Evil

Image

Khedas was inside of the Broken Bottle Tavern as he ate his meal. Khedas was actually inside of the refugee districts, most dwarves are not seen inside here and when they are it is quite shady for most who do come to the refugee side only come to smuggle in illegal dwarven gem dust that are only found deep in the dwarven mines not anywhere near the refugee districts. But Khedas was not here to deal any drugs instead he was visiting his friend, Aenella Drumei, an elf and by his opinion, "a bloody good archer." Sure in the past before the alliance the dwarves and elves clashed just as hard as the orcs and humans clashed, but Khedas didn't see Aenella as a pair of pointy ears he saw her as a companion, two friends that travelled together, two friends that wanted a go at the head of the wicked Zalthu.

After Khedas had finished eating his slice of bread he moved onto his stew, but when he did the stew did not meet his wants, but he really was not asking for much. "Bwah! Cold stew?" he questioned after spitting it out. The dwarf loved stew, but only warm stew, even boiling hot is better, way better than cold stew. "It already taste like piss could it at least taste like warm piss?" Once deciding not to give the horrid food any more chances at his taste buds, Khedas decided to look over to Aenella, "Eh, its a pity for this tavern to have a nice blazing fireplace." That was another thing, Khedas loved fired thus he loved bonfires and fireplaces, he was even now seated right in front of one. "But its meals to prove to be a grave horror." Perhaps Khedas was being dramatic but he really hates cold stew. "Let us leave, Aenella." Khedas got up and as he was on his way out the door he bumped into a rather large and surprising figure to meet- an orc.

Though Khedas had not been up on the surface to see it he knew what the orcs did, he has a pretty clear account from Aenella. Feeling the duty to act, as he was once a White Hunter, Khedas curled his grip around his warhammer strapped to his back. "Even the ones driving the world to chaos scatter among the refugees. Though the order fell, I forever remain as a White Hunter at heart. Do you know what that means orc?" It was rare to see an orc here in the dwarven nation, and because Khedas did he saw it as an insult and even more than that he saw it as his responsibility as the Vanquisher of Evil to well, rid the world of evil, and so he found the orcs evil. You could even say the look in his eyes was threatening, it showed his determined to destroy all orcs including the one that stood before him now. "Its means I wipe out abominations, abominations like you."

Erin looked on at the passed out drunk with disgust. This was to be their hero? By the looks at him he couldn't take on a baby deer let alone the king of the Orcs. And he's supposed to place his faith, and trust in this worthless drunk? Imposible. He'll take on the entire Orc army rather than trust the fate of humanity, the fate of the entire world in his hands. Erin took the bucket of water he was holding, and dumped the water onto the 'chosen ones' head to wake him up. "He is awake." Erin stated with a somewhat disapproving tone.

Erin glared at the man with the intensity of a volcano, each word he spewed he grew more annoyed, and sick of this arrogant baffoon. Erin folded his arms in disapproval, his fists clinching harder on his arms as he continued on. He could already tell he wasn't going to be besties with this one. He'd be amazed if he didn't take his head off within the hour. Though he did look somewhat familiar to him. Perhaps he meet him in passing once or something? Whatever it was, it doesn't matter.

And then he did, he sent Erin off the deep end. Proposing a kiss with her highness, the audacity. Erin grabbed Seb by his collar, and slammed him against the wall of the tavern. "You will speak to her with respect you waste of space!" He snarled with an intensity in his eyes that said he was ready to snap his neck. He threw him onto the ground, and into the small puddle made by the water he threw on him to wake him up. "I will beat the respect into you!"

It's not easy being a Orc in this day, and age. You're instantly branded a monster, and when ever you pass a person you make sure you know it. But still, an Orc's gotta eat. Today's menu, whatever they have in the Broken Bottle Tavern. As he walked into the Tavern he instantly got dirty looks, and could hear whispers about him already. It's something he's used to of course. As he made his way towards a empty table he bumped into a Dwarf. Terrific.

Bortrag merely rolled his eyes at the Dwarf's boasts of being a White Hunter. He's heard of the order, and knows of it's fall due to their king. "I have no quarrel with you Dwarf. Nor do I seek it." He growled at the Dwarf. "I know of your order, and I wouldn't use the word 'fall' for what happened to it. A fall might imply a struggle of some sort. No, your order was disbanded by the weakness of your leadership." He coldly stated, noting the fact that it was because of the Dwarven King's refusial of getting involved with the outside world.

And then he heard it, abomination. He didn't know why, but being called a abomination by this Dwarf particularly stung. Perhaps it was the fact that he was a warrior himself, and knows of following orders. That a soldier shouldn't be blamed for the actions of his leader. Whatever it was it enraged him. "You know what? Nevermind, I do seek quarrel with you, little man." He growled, and with a large back hand sent the dwarf flying through a nearby table.

Almost animal like, Bortrag leaped onto the dwarf, and began savagely beating him. He picked him up by his rather long hair with his good hand, and threw him outside. Bortrag walked over to the door he threw him out of with murder in his eye. As he got into the doorway he let out a loud, primal roar. "You want a monster little man?! I am the Pale Demon, the Immortal Shadow Bortrag! Come face me little dwarf if you are man enough!" He roared. "I haven't killed a dwarf in awhile. Your people are quite content with hiding in your little caves aren't they?"

Seb Rolfe

Image

And then in a split second, this happened, "You will speak to her with respect you waste of space!" He felt his collar being pulled as he his body was bashed against the tavern. Seb rubbed his sore head that collided with the wall as he spoke with a purposely whiny voice, "Easy, easy... Can't you see, I'm a gentle creature." Well, maybe that wasn't the smartest thing to say, because the next thing Seb's knows is his body plunging into a puddle of mud, stomach first.

"I will beat the respect into you!" Seb struggled to pulled his aching body upwards, "No, no, my good man, no beating is necessary, I--"

Seb did not get to finish his sentence, but he did deemed himself unlucky for a dwsrf clash against him causing Seb to feel even more pains to his body, and thus yet again he was knocked down again. The dwarf quickly ran off of Seb to gather a defensive stance as he started to yell taunts to some enemy of his. But that was when Seb turned around to see the open door of the tavern, and through that open door was a giant, well not a literal giant, but an orc, which was good enough to scare Seb off.

Seb scurried, afraid, against the tavern wall, hiding from the dwarf and orc, hoping the man he had just angered, which seemed to be some type of guardian for the princess, would rather fight the orc than Seb. "Oh yeah, look at him. He big and strong, you should so fight him instead. He might not be your size, but challenges are good right?" Seb whispered to the guardian, telling that the man was not going to let Seb off the hook that easily. But Seb was not like majority of people these days, hating all orcs, Seb does not hate someone without getting to know them, thus he was not hating on this orc, he just wished for the guardian to fight the big guy rather than himself. He also wished to not get the utter crap beaten out of him.

Khedas Marblechest the Vanquisher of Evil

"You know what? Nevermind, I do seek quarrel with you, little man."

Khedas was not incredibly fast when it came to his moves, especially due to his race for dwarves are known to be stocky and usually muscular, thus thicker creatures. So when as soon as the orc said quarrel a second time Khedas knew it was time for him to defend himself. He grabbed the nearest object he could for a shield, that being a wooden plate, to which really gave no protection up against the Bortrag's attack with a backhand, causing Khedas to fall back into a table. The orc was massive already, but to the perspective to a dwarf, Khedas felt like he was fighting a mountain, a very upset mountain. But Khedas didn't care on size, Khedas was fearless to the point of foolishness.

But the size of his fist was the same size of Khedas's head, so just imagine the amount of damage if he were to take one of those to the face. So Khedas had to think again at the table, someway to defend himself, because obviously the only type of shield around were wooden plates. But no matter Khedas had no specialty with shields. Instead, he summoned his sword for the next attack, therefore the dwarf clutched his blade and so when Bortrag came into beat Khedas, he used his sword to cut into his fist, slicing at the knuckles, but that was not enough to even be a tad close to stopping the orc.

Then Khedas felt the tug at his long black dwarven locks as he was cannoned out of the tavern, landing onto a man struggling to climb himself out of a puddle of mud. Khedas sheathed his sword, knowing he needed more than a mere blade to put Bortrag down.

"You want a monster little man?! I am the Pale Demon, the Immortal Shadow Bortrag! Come face me little dwarf if you are man enough!"

"I thought when I called you an abomination, that was insult enough! Pale Demon? Immortal Shadow? These are names of darkness and evil! Very well then," With Khedas's next sentence, he began to pound his chest faster and fast with each booming word that he hollered out of his mouth. "I, Khedas Marblechest, Vanquisher of Evil, shall face the Pale Demon, the Immortal Shadow!" He then busted out his dwarven warhammer, positioned in a stance of defense, awaiting for the orc's attack. And while doing so, Khedas wore a blood-thirsty smirk on his face, knowing that once he steps out of the tavern, he will be exposed even more and if there are any warriors with any common sense, they will for sure charge at the beast with him. Khedas already knew he had Aenella on his side, and that was good enough for him if that was all the help he was going to get. He trusted her, and he trusted himself that this was a fight worth picking.

She walks into the tavern, as is common for her, except today does not seem to be a common day. An orc and a dwarf are fighting each other. She recognized the dwarf instantly, she didn't know his name but he always was seen with an elf named Aenella, who was an archer. This was Tabitha's marvel, her excellent memory which aligned well with her habit of being in the right place in the right time. She was a very lucky person, and was often met with great power and wealth.

Recently, however, she has been a little down; out with the in crowd as it were. But, she had a plan, a plan to regain her previous status and much more. And in order to obtain her status she had been waiting and searching for quite some time. But her magic has never come back void, and Tabitha is sure that soon her plan will come to fruition.

There is an old proverb which says, "When two elephants fight it is the grass that suffers." And to avoid becoming suffering grass Tabitha was going to leave the tavern and find a more relaxing place to eat her breakfast. As she leaves and goes out the door she sees another confrontation with a burly, muscular blondie and a shaggy, brown haired drunk.

"I will beat the respect into you!" Bellowed the young hottie at the old man, who was lying on the muddy ground after being thrown by Hottie. And while they continue their back and forth, a particular person catches my eye. Oh, I think to myself, today does not seem to be a common day at all. I stare at Her Majesty, Princess Tamora Ronan, daughter to the late king. A smile began to grow on her face. Indeed, this is my lucky day.

Taking brazen steps, Tabitha reaches the princess. "Tamora Ronan," she says with a curtsy, "It is indeed an honor, how did you ever make it such a dark place as Kassina?"

"Alright," she said, "do it now."

Immediately, Erin splashed a bucket of water all over the former dragon rider's motionless body, consequently making the man's eyelids jolt open in alarm. It was a horrid way to greet the only hope Kassina had left, but it was the only option the two of them had. After all, they had traveled a far enough distance already, and would not delay their quest and further in order to let a drunken man sleep in peace.

"He is awake." Erin remarked mirthlessly.

"Sir Sebastion..." she muttered, "Sir Sebastion, can you hear me? It is I, Tamora Feya Gormlaith Ronan, Princess of Kassina and heir to the throne..."

Instead, the man tipped and turned his flask, attempting to pour any last drops of alcohol onto his tongue. It was quite embarassing to say the least, and while she clasped her fidgeting fingers into fists, she found that her guardian was staring at the man with a blatantly disapproving gaze. She had a feeling an awkward situation like this would occur, but the event she had played out in her head was a bit less...tension-filled.

Suddenly, the man got to his knees, grabbing one of Tamora's hands and practically dragging her down to meet him. Because of this, her deep purple cape and hood flapped in the stale air like a flag, sending a small wave of wind behind her. In the shadows, her disguise shone a dark black color, giving her the appearance of a mysterious crow.

He flipped his hair in an overly-charismatic fashion, sending droplets of water flying into the woman's face. "Well hello, Princess... eh..." the man tripped on his words, clearly trying to remember the name she had just mentioned to him less than ten seconds ago. "Tamora--- Princess Tamora, it is I, Seb." he said proudly, as though he did not look like a drenched dog. The former dragon rider's brown mane clung to the sides of his face like matted fur.

She scoffed, releasing her hand from his soggy grip. "You look a mess, Sir Rolfe," she said, "I thought the glittering reputation you displayed at my father's tournaments would still remain, but alas, I have been mistaken..."

"At service," the drunk continued, "but first, let me do say your highness if you kiss me, I promise I won't turn into a frog."

She swiftly raised a brow, "Excuse me?"

"Ahh... Perhaps its better you don't believe me and instead find out by yourself." he ended with a wink.

Before she could even turn around, Erin was already pressing the man against the wall. "You will speak to her with respect you waste of space!" he roared, hurling him onto the ground, "I will beat the respect into you!"

"No, no, my good man, no beating is necessary," Sebastian Rolfe begged, "I--"

But before he could finish, the shadow of a short, sturdy man slammed into the drunk, sending him face-first into the mud below. Tamora gave a quick yelp, and stepped away before she too found herself covered in grime. This encounter was starting to grow worse and worse. Perhaps it would have been a more wise decision to just forget about the prophecy and take on King Zalthu herself...

"You want a monster little man?! I am the Pale Demon, the Immortal Shadow Bortrag! Come face me little dwarf if you are man enough!" bellowed the rugged holler of an enraged orc from inside the tavern. Tamora's eyes widened. This creature was clearly a threat, and it surprised her to even find such a monster inside such a well-known establishment such as the Broken Bottle.

"Oh yeah, look at him. He big and strong, you should so fight him instead. He might not be your size, but challenges are good right?" barked the drunk. Tamora rolled her eyes. This man actually thought he was being persuasive. Quickly, she produced a crackling flame within the palm of her hand, and gave the washed-up champion a seething scowl. "I suggest you shut your lopsided hole of a mouth, Sir Rolfe," she quipped, "or I will be forced to do my protector the pleasure of shutting it for you."

Her attention switched back to the monster in the tavern. Weren't the orcs trampling the surface, making a mess of the world above the underground cities? If so, what was this one doing nestled inside the warmth of a simple tavern?

Her mind twisted in knots, but her thoughts were interrupted by a silky voice behind her. "Tamora Ronan," said a black-haired woman who was locked in a full-blown curtsy by the time the princess had turned around, "It is indeed an honor, how did you ever make it such a dark place as Kassina?"

She did not know this woman. In fact, she did not even know what this woman was asking. Her glass-like eyes were more focused on the debauchery occuring behind her.

From inside the tavern, she could see the fiery red wisps of hair that sat on an elf woman's head like a headress. An arrow was being aimed at the orc's chest. Curious yet bewildered, Tamora took a small step closer towards the establishment. ”Khedas!” the archer announced at the dwarf who had toppled over Sebastian, ”Too many people, take it outside. Now.”

"In fact, take it nowhere!"

Brazenly, Tamora stepped inside the tavern, her gaze switching from the woman, then to the dwarf, and then the orc who towered over her like a solid statue.

"Let there be peace. This world is filled with enough destruction right now...it would be much wiser to pacify your tempers for the sake of the innocent bystanders surrounding you."

Although she had intended for her actions to be heroic and absolute, the princess had no idea that the creatures she was talking to were not politicians in nature. Most of the men in women in the establishment did not settle for diplomacy. Tamora Ronan was foreign to the world of common taverns. After all, with a life lived in secrecy and seclusion, she had never participated in the many occasions and events considered ordinary by adults her age. In a sense, she was still a child. An intelligent child with a royal name and magic skills galore, but a child nontheless.

As soon as he heard the deep voice of the Orc's roar he stopped his attack upon Seb, and instantly rushed to his mistress' side as any good guardian would. Once there he saw a unfamiliar woman. Erin came between her, and Tamora. When she asked how she got to such a place he let out a gruff grunt, and glared at the woman. He didn't know who she was, nor did he very much care. He brought his attention back to the Orc, Dwarf, and now Elf. This seemed like a set up to a bad joke to him.

"We should leave my lady." Erin suggested, as the first rule of bodyguarding is to keep your charge out of harm's way. But of course by the time he finished his sentance she was already walking towards the danger. Erin just sighed, and rolled his eyes. Bortrag looked at the girl with curiousity. "Peace? That is a nice sentiment girl, but nothing more than that. I did not come seeking conflict. The runt was the one who sought battle. Surprising given the Dwarven way of hiding in their little caves collecting your rocks." Bortrag stated as stared at the Dwarf, at this Khedas.

"And apprently the knife-ears as seeks battle as well." He stated, noting the elven archer. He took a big whiff of the air, and a sly grin crossed his face as he stared at the elf. "Mmm....you smell like fear. Tell me knife-ears, are you afraid of Orcs? Or are you fearful of me?" He asked with a sinister smile. "That's it isn't it? You know who I am don't you?" He asked as he moved closer to the elf. Erin glared at Bortrag with increasing hostilite.

Erin brushed past Tamora, and stood between the Orc, and the Elf. "She may fear you, but I do not." Erin interuppted with his hand tapping on his axe attached to his hip, and intensely stared into the eyes of Bortrag, showing no fear, no hesitation. "Does everyone wish to fight me today? I thought the Orcs were supposed to be the aggressors." Bortrag smirked. "Stay your tongue, or I'll rip it from throat." Erin ordered. Bortrag merely chuckled in repsonse. "You find my words humorous?" Erin questioned with the bones of his hands cracking, and popping from his clinched fists. "I do. Anytime you humans try to be threatening is merely adorable. Like a small hound barking to make it's self seem bigger.

Erin glared at him with even more intensity. "I am the last of the Ironmark clan, I do not make idle threats." Erin stated. "Another failed order? Perhaps you and the Runt should start a club of some sort?" Bortrag smirked, adding more fuel to Erin's fire. Bortrag looked around to see all those around him. An archer trained on him, a Dwarven warrior, and now a member of the Ironmark clan. These odds were not that good, even for him. He turned back around, and exited the tavern. "This is pointless. I'll find another tavern if need be." Bortrag stated.

Seb Rolfe

"I suggest you shut your lopsided hole of a mouth, Sir Rolfe, or I will be forced to do my protector the pleasure of shutting it for you."

Seb raised both of his eyebrows giving his response, "Hey, I like my women the way I like my meat, spicy." He gave another wink before he continued. Sure he saw the flame from her palm, but he assumed she was not going to use that as a weapon, because she's a princess, and aren't princesses suppose to be ladies, and wouldn't attacking not be lady-like. But on the other hand if it was her guardian giving the threat, then he would indeed silence himself, but for the princess, nah. "Well, actually I prefer my meats plain, but--" Then a woman approached the princess before Seb could finish his sentence, not that it really mattered. It was just that sometimes Seb could never shut up without someone else's assistance.

Seb did not hear what the woman had told the princess, however the next thing he sees is the princess rushing into the tavern. Seb gave a sigh of relief, happy her guardian was following after her and not Seb. Now that no one is giving him any attention, he could so easily just slip away from the whole fight itself. But to think of it, where else would Seb go? To another tavern, nope, because you see Seb does not like this thing called walking. He would be lying if he denied to being lazy.

But soon Seb did not have a choice on walking or not walking even if did indeed wanted to. Because then, Seb overheard sounds of horns before he started coughing, seeing a mist of dust, and quickly after that he only saw darkness as his body fell flat against the dirt yet again.

Seb awoken but this time not outside of the Broken Bottle, but instead in a dwarven jail cell. As soon as his eyelids shot up he saw the thick bars that trapped him. He turned his head to see the same orc he got a glance inside of the tavern now here, right in front of his very eyes. Now, Seb hasn't had much experience with the orcish race, but this orc right there, Seb thought he was huge. But Seb was not scared, sure he was big, but Seb has seen bigger creatures, he worked with dragons once. And besides, the orc up close and not furious as he was when Seb first saw him, did not strike any fear into Seb because he could not make any snap judgments, even if he was an orc. For that was what Seb simply saw, not Zalthu and not a follower of Zalthu, just another soul no matter what the size or shape he came in.

Though the longer Seb stared at him, the more he started to see flashbacks of his dragon, Meadow. She was a part of a large race that held a bad reputation, and at first Seb was fixed on killing her, that was before he made eye contact with her, when he looked at her face to see she had no motive to ever harm him, that the only danger was him. But he did not like these flashbacks, sure they were good memories, but also a good memory there to conjure up a horrid one, one consisted of the biggest mistake Seb ever made, one that he allowed to change his life.

So Seb looked away, flipping his hair back as he did so, hoping to stop the images, and also because the orc was waking up, and Seb did not want him to feel as if Seb's stares was his way of judging him. Seb was actually happy to have the orc in his cell, especially when he looked down the hall to make eye contact with the guardian in his cell. Seb gave the guardian a smirk that said, Ha, ha, try getting me now. After doing so Seb decided to communicate with the orc anyways, didn't want to rub off unfriendly.

"Bor-Bortrag is it?" he asked as his fist were hugging the bars, hoping he got his cellmate's name right, he heard it back from the tavern. "You can call me Seb, but of course you can also call me whatever you want, most people go with the second option, that usually being words like drunk, low-life, sot. Don't really like it, but what can I do." Those insulting names did not really bother him, it was only his real name that did. Perhaps the orc would not know who Seb use to be, or at least recognize him. Seb wished to leave his past in the past, and just be known as Seb the drunk. Not Sebastian Rolfe the once profound dragon rider, emphasis on the once, explanations for the once.

"But anyways, you have muscles, very big muscles and very big fists. You can break out of here, right? Breaking out of here so I go back to my drinking and you can do whatever you do, sounds like a great idea, right? Yeah, so I'm going to stand back here..." Seb moved farthest away from the bars. "While you work your magic, well not literal magic, but you know, like charging through the bars or something... Yeah!"

Khedas Marblechest the Vanquisher of Evil

Khedas was all ready for the orc to come charging at him, he was ready for an ultimate battle. But is that what he got, no. He was disappointed not only with the fact that the battle was interrupted and that the orc was walking away, but also with the fact that Aenella did not fire. Was the orc right, was she scared? Because Khedas understand if she did not shoot because she did not want to harm innocents, but if it was because she was a coward, that was one thing Khedas would not be happy about. Because Khedas hated cowards, and he knows about her past, but he liked her enough not to hold her past against her, he hoped she did not cower when he trusted her to have his back.

Soon enough Khedas started coughing wildly, when he knew exactly what that was- Dwarven Sleepy Spice. He had already heard the horns sound, proclaiming the authorities have arrive. Khedas wished the dwarves would fight with him, against the orc, that would be, in his opinion, common sense. But no, they were cracking down on everyone in the refugee district, everyone would was causing or was caught in any chaos.

Finally Khedas fell, knocked out like the rest. He retained consciousness inside of a cell, to which he looked over to the blonde male he saw earlier enter the tavern. But did he know who he was, no of course not. Though he remembered the warrior willing to take down the orc, and Khedas respected that. “Perhaps the best thing to do is to find a way out of here, it’s better than rotting or awaiting any form of execution,” he quietly spoke.

Because right now, what was on Khedas's mind was escaping, he hated to be a prisoner, even if the jailer were of his same race. Incarcerated by his enemies, was Khedas's fear, something he always wanted to prevent from happening, so he was going to do whatever it took to get out.

Khedas started with noticing his surrounds. Such as, he gave first check on what to see he had on him which was only he was wearing, other than that all inventory including his weapons was taken from him. He observed others in cells, first taking note of Aenella by who appeared to be with human princess, and in the next cell was the White Demon and the long-haired man Khedas fell on earlier. The man was busy on his own little escape plan with the orc. Speaking of the orc, whom Khedas gave a look of disgust at, he could not believe the dwarves did not just kill him on spot when they had the chance. But yet it made Khedas wonder, why did they decide to kept him as prisoner.

"Hm, what is this?" Khedas asked himself aloud as he stroked his beard in question, watching a woman approach with keys to unlock their cells. "Who are you?" he said to her, because though she was unlocking their cells, could she still be trusted? Because there was something about her that told his gut to be cautious. And perhaps he would feel some ease if the mysterious woman identified herself. "I wish to be released from this cell, but I also wish to know why you are doing this. Are you leading us to a trap, woman?"

Tabitha was seemingly ignored by the princess, which wasn't a surprise. What would a princess of her nobility have to do with a poor peasant woman as she was sure Miss Tamora had thought. Also, in truth, there were more pressing matters, such as the battle going on in the middle of the tavern. Which, curiously enough, Tamora stepped in to stop. Why would she do that, what was in it for her? Nevertheless, Tabitha knew that the fates would conspire to make sure she left with Tamora Ronan one way or another. She had been doing the rituals every month, and now was her chance, it wouldn't fall through her fingers.

As Tabitha was having this inner monologue she was distracted by what seemed to be falling shimmering lights. Immediately recognizing it, she covered her face with her hood. Dwarven sleeping spice, perfect. This was the break Tabitha was waiting for. She watched as one by one all the patrons in the tavern fell to the ground in a magically induced slumber. Tabitha then slipped out of the Tavern and walked across the street. Hidden in an dark alley, she waited.

It did not take long before guards appeared, they picked up the ones who were caught in the trouble. That white-skinned orc, the dwarf, his elf friend, the blond guy, the brown haired guy, and the princess were all transported by the dwarven squad to the jail. Tabitha smiled to herself at the thought of a challenge. And she went a route to the prison that wouldn't attract any unwanted attention, but one that could only be done on foot.

Tabitha arrived not about an hour later, well after the dwarven squad with their charges. The jail was a large stone structure that was not very friendly. She walked up to the main entrance and tried to work her magic, literally. There she saw a short and stocky Dwarf guarding the main gate.

"Hello, my name is Diane and my husband has become caught in a tragic misunderstanding, could I be let in to see him?" As she lied she also stared into the Dwarf's eyes. She had a natural affinity for being very persuasive, a skill that has always been a strong suit of hers.

"No, ma'am, I'm sorry. But you'll have to talk with the barracks themselves and get permission from one of the officers there." He said, the memorized information barely passing through his mind.

"Are you sure?" She says as she consciously maintains eye contact and slows her words. "Can't we make just one little exception? Just this once?"

She can see a small amount of inner turmoil play over his face. "Well, I guess... I guess it wouldn't hurt that much."

"Yeah, it's just this once. We'll be in and out, you won't even notice us." With that last statement he gave in and took out his key, opening the gate and letting her in. As the gate opens she waves to him and shuts the gate behind herself.

Now that she's in, she just needs to get two things: directions and a key. To get both of them she needs to find a prison guard. She looks around her, inside the prison is much worse than outside. The cells are kind of just carved out holes in the wall with cast iron bars blocking the entrance. In each of the cells the floor is covered in hay and the hallways have stray hay littered on the floor. Light comes from torches which are placed on the walls every couple of cells.

Eventually, Tabitha hears the footsteps of a guard coming through one of the hallways. She goes down that corrider and makes eye contact immediately. "Hello, who are you?" She asks the tall dwarf, or what passes for tall among dwarves.

"Uh, the name is Bruci, Bruci Opalking." He immediately started saying.

Tabitha smiled, this Bruci will be much easier than the door guard. "That's a nice name." she said as she slowly walked over. I'm looking for a princess, do you know where I could find her?"

"Uh, I'm not supposed to share that information." Bruci replied.

"Not even for me?" She said as she maintained eye contact.

"Uh, no, I'm sorry."

This answer struck Tabitha, apparently this Dwarf had greater fortitude than she expected. But, she knew what to do, seduction can always take the place of psychic persuasion if one knew how to use it right. She pushed him against a wall and kissed him, this shocked him enough that she was able to effortlessly take his keys off his belt without his noticing and pocket them. Then she whispered into his ear, "I really need to know."

"Second floor, third hallway, turn right, follow that to the end and you'll find the princess."

Bingo, "Now, see, that wasn't too hard."

And with that she left him there and went back to the main corridor and followed it to the end where she saw a set of stairs. She walked up them and got off at the second floor, though she noticed the stairs still went up. She counted off the hallways until she got to the third one and then turned right, and followed the hallways all the way. When she got there, she found not just the princess but the entire gang were all together.

She took out her keys and was about to free the dwarf and the blond hunk from the tavern when the dwarf stirred awake and spoke to her. "Who are you? I wish to be released from this cell, but I also wish to know why you are doing this. Are you leading us to a trap, woman?"

"My name is Tabitha Javan. I am freeing you all because in you I see good reason for my freedom from this gods forsaken village." Now, this wasn't a lie, but it also wasn't the whole truth, but that didn't bother her at all.

And so, one by one, Tabitha unlocked all of the cell doors freeing everyone that was at the tavern.

Aenella held her ground as the young woman stated her opinion on the matter, on which Nell wanted to roll her eyes.

"Let there be peace. This world is filled with enough destruction right now...it would be much wiser to pacify your tempers for the sake of the innocent bystanders surrounding you."

Nell raised an eyebrow, but continued to have her arrow trained on the giant in front of her, who seemed to be becoming agitated. He snapped at the girl and turned his attention again towards Nell.

"And apparently the knife-ears as seeks battle as well.” She snarled at his nickname for her and got ready to shoot as he sniffed the air and smiled widely, sending invisible shivers down her spine.

“Mmm....you smell like fear. Tell me knife-ears, are you afraid of Orcs? Or are you fearful of me?" He asked with a sinister smile. "That's it isn't it? You know who I am don't you?"

She narrowed her eyes. “Aye Pale Demon, I know of you and your horrendous ways. Who in their right mind wouldn’t fear you after what you did to my people? But my fear is not crippling, if you make any moves, I shoot.” She nearly growled at him as this mix of anger and adrenaline overtook her.

A man, who seemed to be traveling with the young woman, brushed past her and stood in front of her. He could be no older than she, and soon introduced himself as one of the Ironmark clan. She was surprised, yet annoyed, she needed no man to protect her, and nearly stood in front of the blond man when Bortrag began to take his leave, no doubt seeing his competition as intimidating , Nell nearly shot him, but the smoke rolled in, and it was too late, and her eyes shut languidly and she swore loudly before hitting the floor. Damn orc.

She awoke on the ground of a cell and rushed to stand and gather her surroundings, gripping onto the was to steady herself as a wave of dizziness hit her. The young woman was on the ground next to where Nell had been lying, and Aenella looked across the way to nod silently at Khedas. She saw that the Orc was with them still, and promised herself she would shoot him when she got her bow back.

Nell turned back to the young woman and shook her gently to wake her up as a woman, then introduced as Tabitha Javan, unlocked her cell.

“Thank you,” Aenella eyed her suspiciously but was thankful for the woman. “Do you know where our weapons are?” She was itching to shoot.

"My name is Tabitha Javan."

So she had a name, Khedas thought he would feel better hearing that, but no, the doubt rested inside remained. Oh, and don't forget the uneasiness also, the uneasiness he was familiar with for as did he once always feel it as a White Hunter. Well, yes, she unlocked their cells for them and even claimed, "I am freeing you all because in you I see good reason for my freedom from this gods forsaken village."

But no matter Khedas was trained to fight abominations, some being not as noticeable as others. In fact, most of them were not, such as werewolves, vampires, and witches, they hid either away from public, or with disguises to blend in with public. Khedas is now coming to the conclusion that he was more hostile towards this Tabitha than the demon he so recently sparked a quarrel with. Because it was clear to Khedas that the orc was a threat to him, but the woman... it was like she could at any moment spring into an attack if he were to let his guard down. He didn't trust her, not one bit, so if she did somehow led them into a trap or betray him, Khedas would not allow himself to be surprised.

“Thank you,” Khedas immediately darted his eyes over to Nell when she said those two words to the woman, he looked into his friend to see even she held suspicious against her. “Do you know where our weapons are?” Brilliant thing for Nell to bring up, that was at least one thing they could all agree on. But wrong because the low drunk that Khedas has seen outside of the Broken Bottle passed out, somehow ended up in the prison also. Anyways, this dunk decided to put his own input on the situation.

"Actually...," Seb started as he lazily stepped out of his cell, behind the rest of the group. "Wouldn't it be better and of course *safer* if we all just find the quickest way out of here? You know, that means not going on a scavenger hunt. Remember *safer*, emphasis on trying to be *safe*. I'm a gentle creature." Yes, Seb did not like pain, tried his best to avoid it if he could, well, besides the times when he's off flirting. But then he noticed something, as he was just thinking that he didn't even have anything that valuable on him remembering that well, he did have one thing that he treasured- his hip flask. The little container made him happy, well, it was really what he put inside the flask that truly did produce that joy. It made things more convenient for Seb rather than carrying around a bottle or tankard.

He felt around his belt, "Damn! My flask!" he whispered to himself in excitement and curse. "Maybe on second thought... We could take the risk... Might even be safer if we have weapons in our hands." He assumed everyone else had weapons, well, he saw them earlier, they looked like warriors, unlike him.

Khedas shooked his head to hear the drunk decided on fetching out their inventory over a dumb flask. Would this guy even be worthy to allow on their escape plan, he seemed like he had no skill, he could get them in trouble. "I say he stays back," Khedas was cruel to say that, but they would probably have better chances on escaping successfully, or so he believes.

"Wait, wait, wait-- What?" Khedas stepped up closer to the dwarf. "I want out of this place just as much as everybody else."

"Look at him, he'll get not only himself into trouble, but the rest of us. And if we are caught, you know what it means especially for you refugees- immediate execution. That doesn't sound good now does it, especially for you, Princess." Khedas now looked over to Princess Tamora, hopping that she was also on his side, perhaps the Princess's influence would sway the other humans.

"But," the dwarf was not finished. "He's not the only one that needs to stay." Khedas gave the Demon a hard glare. Seb noticed it and stood besides the orc. "We not, we were freed weren't we?" Seb questioned. "And besides, are you going to stop us?"

"Oh, so he's an orc lover now," Khedas, folded his arms as he announced with great disapproval. "I'm not going to bicker any longer with an orc lover. You're staying and that's it."

Khedas was narrow-minded, the type of person that acted with stubborn mind and a hard head, he was just so use to making commands and people strictly following them. But he made those decisions in order that the rest of the group would not be harmed. "If the rest of you wish for them to come along, then so be it." However in the end Khedas knew he was no longer a captain. "But you know where I stand."

As Bortrag walked away from the scene, it suddenly filled with smoke, and each one of them began to pass out. He fell to his knees, trying his best to fight the unconsciousness. 'I will not die by being gased out!' He thought to himself as he tried to stand up, and get away. Of course it was no use, within a few minutes he was out like the rest of them. The only thing he can think about is how ironic it is that given everything he's survived to only be killed in his sleep by dwarfs.

Bortrag's eyes shot open as he regained consciousness. His whole body jumped up in a slight panick as he observed his new surroundings. Admittedly he was surprised to wake up at all. He figured they'd kill him when given the chance. He looked down at his left arm, and saw that they took his prosthetic arm from him. "That's just cruel." He muttered to himself as he stared at his stump. The Orc looked over the cell to see a scruffy looking human as his cellmate. He might have saw him during the previous incident, but he's not quite sure. Other species look so much alike. He can barely tell the difference between a dwarf, and a human child.

"Yes, my name is Bortrag." He replied to man. "You cannot control what others think of you." He stated as he looked over the cell's bars. Dwarven craft, not easily broken by hand, even if he had both arms. "This is Dwarven made boy. Much harder to break by hand than say Human, or Orc craft. It will take time, but I can do it. Of course it'd be easier if I had my other hand, but there's no use belly aching about it, I'm not an Elf after all."

Bortrag began delievering powerful, bone shattering kicks to the cell doors trying to break them down. With each kick dust could be seen flying off of the hinges. After a few minutes of continued strikes he heard someone coming. He peeked out to see a human woman coming to apprently release them. He stared at the woman, and studied her face. She was at the tavern too, but yet wasn't captured. Curious. "Release me now woman!" He ordered, though she was already starting to unlock the cells.

Once his, and this Seb's cell was opened he walked out. "I agree with the runt, and knife-ears, we should retrieve our weaponry. They took my arm." He said in slight annoyance as he held up his stump. He then shot a look at the dwarf from before, Khedas, or whatever, Bortrag already forgot it, when he said that he was going to stay in his cell. "Are you going to make me runt? Your people are so afraid of the Orcs that they can't kill one in his sleep, so what makes me fear you?" He smirked as he walked past him. "Take me to my possessions woman, and be done with this place."

With the smoke filling the area, Erin instinctly rushed to his mistress' side. "Princess! Get back!" But it was too late, the sleeping gas began taking effect, and Erin fell in his tracks. He woke up in a prison cell with the Dwarf from before. Erin ran his fingers through his hair, and rubbed his head as he stirred. Erin rushed over to the cell door, and peered into the cell Tamora was being held in, along with the Elven woman. Good, she seemed safe for now. But he still didn't like her being locked anywhere, especially with someone he does not know.

"Cowards! Come face me!" Erin growled as he shook the cell doors. "Princess! Are you ok?! The dwarfs didn't harm you did they?! I'll hang them by their beards!" He snarled in frustration. He paced around the cell, trying to think of a way out. "I refuse to die anywhere outside of battle! I will not be executed like some common thug." He replied to the Dwarf's talk of escape. Then a woman, the same from before walked in with the keys, and began releasing them.

Once the cells were open Erin brushed past the dwarf, and elf, and completely ignored their rescuer as he rushed to his charge side. "My lady, I am sorry. I should have been more careful. Are you ok? You aren't harmed are you? I...I'm sorry. I accept any, and all punishments for my failure." Erin said as he looked her over, and gave a slight bow. He then turned his attention towards the agruing of the Dwarf, and the drunk about leaving him, and the Orc behind, something that he full heartedly agreed with.

"I agree. They'd only hinder us." Erin said as he stood in the way of Bortrag. "We should leave them here, they are of no use to us, and most likely deserve to stay." Erin, and Bortrag exchanged intense glares, as well as shooting Seb one as well, and Bortrag did the same to Khedas.

Trails of light. A scream. The roar of a dragon. Tamora's mind was floating somewhere between a dream and reality. She saw many things flash and fade, but most clearly, she could see seven hands in a circle, all of different shapes and sizes. One hand dropped out. And then another...

And from the circle she could see a sigil. Thin, turquoise lines that created a symbol similar to that of a pentagram. Vehemently, the lines of this symbol flashed with blinding blue light, as if they were meant to summon the princess into an inferno of disaster. Whatever they meant, they were undoubtedly important...

"Princess!"

She could feel the scalding heat as the lights approached, transforming into monsterous flames. They were going to suck her in...

Would she live to see the sun?

"Princess! Are you ok?!"

The reverb of Erin's voice against the rusty cell bars awoke the young woman from her deep slumber. Her eyes stirred for a moment, and then with a hand to her throbbing head, she gave a short gasp, eventually sitting upright upon the grimy prison floor. The first thing she saw was the fiery-haired elf woman she'd met at the Broken Bottle. Gazing at her with a spoonful of concern, it was apparent to the princess that the archer had just shook her body back into consciousness. She thought perspiration was the wet fluid sticking to the edges of her brow, but upon feeling a tiny tap on her scalp and looking upright, she noticed that it was just cold droplets of water leaking from the stone ceiling above.

"The dwarfs didn't harm you did they?!" her guardian snarled in wolfish fury, "I'll hang them by their beards!"

With a small grunt, she picked herself up and balanced her feet upon the hard, uncomfortable floor. Her legs, forehead, and even her vision were still a bit wobbly from the last of the wicked dwarven gas that had entered through her respiratory system, but nevertheless, she was still able to shoot her companion a serious glance as she drew closer to the cell bars in order to meet him.

"It's quite alright Erin. I'm fine," she said through the loud clanging of the orc's powerful kicks against the steel bars two cells down. "Just a little dizzy, but I'm perfectly fine..."

Even before she had found herself in this prison, her mind was on escape. And through deduction, she knew how she was going to attain that escape. Instantaneously, a plausible idea hatched, and without delay, Tamora headed towards her cell door. She rubbed her dry hands together, exhaled a puff of nervous breath, checked left and right, and then aimed her slender fingers at the steel that seperated her from freedom. She was going to melt the bars down with a bit of flame and sparks. Much to her surprise, however, her palms produced nothing. She swallowed and tried again. And then after grunting in frustration, tried once more. She banged her hands against the door as soon as she noticed the faint taste of sour mint that lingered on the edge of her tongue.

"Damn..." she whispered, "Those clever dwarves remembered to drug me..."

Every mage knew that ingesting the essence of the infamous Skull Ink Plant was enough to erase the victim's powers for hours on end. Perhaps it was only for a little while, but her captives had taken away the flow of magic the coursed through her veins. Not only that, but they had also taken away her knapsack full of scrolls, potions, and other trinkets, as well as her enchanted black cloak given to her by one of the grand mages that had trained her in the temple. Now she was wearing a white, corseted chemise dress that had previously served as undergarments, as well as a vicious, undiluted scowl. Her silky black hair starting to lose its shine, Tamora had been completely deprived of enigmatic royalty. It would be challenging to convince the dwarves of her noble status when she looked like nothing but a peasant girl. It would be impossible to escape now...

She gave a rough sigh. “Perhaps the best thing to do is to find a way out of here," said the brawny dwarf nearby, "it’s better than rotting or awaiting any form of execution.” With a placid face, she nodded. She could see Erin pacing back and forth in his cell. Surely, the Ironmark man was formulating some sort of plan. She wanted to tell him it was hopeless, but it was better to let him have his courage. At least for a day or two...

"I refuse to die anywhere outside of battle! I will not be executed like some common thug," he boldly proclaimed. She gazed upon him for a bit, letting his words glumly sink in. Then, as if on cue, the sounds of hasty footsteps and the jingling of metal filled the hall. "Perhaps you won't have to worry about that any longer," she replied.

The woman from earlier had returned, and this time she had brought the keys to the group's liberation along with her. There was a part of Tamora that was undoubtedly skeptical as to how and why this woman went through the trouble of dwarven security in order to save the rag-tag arrangement of individuals, but she was so relieved that the prophecy had not been thrown away by fate that she really didn't care. Still, this lady's face looked oddly familiar.

"My name is Tabitha Javan. I am freeing you all because in you I see good reason for my freedom from this gods forsaken village." she said.

Javan? Tabitha Javan? The princess kept repeating the name over and over in her mind. Still, nothing rang a bell.

"May the gods' blessings be upon you, Lady Tabitha," she said as soon as the woman had cracked open her cell door. "As princess of Kassina, I grant you my gratitude. You have given me an insurmountable debt that, if you don't mind, I must repay."

As soon as she passed through the prison chamber, her guardian rushed to her side and apologized. "It's not your fault, Erin," she smiled with compassion, her eyes beaming brighter than the whites of her teeth. "You did all you could, and that is enough in my book." He bowed to her, and she placed a gentle hand upon his shoulder, rubbing her thumb back and forth across the material that covered his skin. She softly grinned until her jauntiness was interrupted by the booming sound of the dwarf's voice.

"I say he stays back," he said, refering to Sebastian Rolfe, who was currently babbling in protest. "Look at him, he'll get not only himself into trouble, but the rest of us. And if we are caught, you know what it means especially for you refugees- immediate execution. That doesn't sound good now does it, especially for you, Princess."

His sturdy eyes fell upon her, and immediately she felt as though the entire room had grown fifty degrees warmer. "But," the dwarf was not finished. "He's not the only one that needs to stay." The dwarf man gave the Orc a hard glare. "I agree. They'd only hinder us." Erin said as he stood in the way of the Demon. "We should leave them here, they are of no use to us, and most likely deserve to stay."

Daggers shot out of everyone's eyes, and all Tamora could do was stare at her guardian with parted lips and furrowed brows. Was he absolutely crazy? No use to them? What on earth had just come out of his mouth! Her jaw was locked in anger as she took two steps closer to him.

"How dare you," she muttered in disappointment, the joy in her expressions contorting into painful sorrow as she gazed upon her guardian as though he had just betrayed her. "Out of everyone here, you know of the trials we have faced in order to make it this far - the gambits we've been forced to take just to find him. You swear loyalty to me, and now of all times you challenge my authority?"

She glared at him long and hard in uncomfortable silence, and then proceeded into the center of the group's interaction, where she began to pace back and forth, staring impassively into blank space.

"The lot of you may be wondering why Sir Erin and I are here in this prison instead of acting reclusive inside the safety of a stronghold. You all have the right to be as skeptical as your minds allow. After all, it's not every day you see royalty gracing through the door of a common pub," she said. "But I'm sure you all remember the day you were forced to exile your homes in the surface world so that King Kagan Zalthu and his cruel, barbaric forces would not trample you over. Only the gods know of the despair I felt when I myself was forced to flee the palace so that the Orc King would not take me as a hostage. By that time, he had already kidnapped my father..."

As she sauntered to and fro in thought, her head buried into her chest, and her eyelids closed gently in rememberance. "But while hope seems lost for those down here who dwell below the sentiments of the earth above, the gods have not forgotten about us. They have granted me the rare gift of precognition, and believe it or not, its powers have already been put into good use."

She stared at Khedas now, her gaze unfaltering, "I have seen the destruction of the sodom above by the hands of the Orc King and the obliteration of all civilization as a whole. Unfortunately, the gods have shown me just how he is planning to do that. He is scourging the soil for a powerful sword. A mystical sword. A sword with enough strength to carve through human kind, elven kind, and dwarven kind like a cake. It's a weapon I refer to as The Sword of Oblivion, and if it's put into Zalthu's hands, chaos and darkness will reign for eternity."

She had more to say, yet chills were preventing her from speaking any farther. Still, duty and courage overcame the cowardice to muster up something.

Tamora looked down at the ground. "But even though no one has stepped onto the surface in ages and all optimism has been tainted by bloodshed, there is still hope for us."

In that moment, she gazed at Sebastian Rolfe with thick, intense eyes. Eyes of confidence. Eyes as green as the grass above. Eyes anyone could believe in. "The gods have also revealed to me a hero. A chosen one, to be precise. Someone who will defeat King Zalthu and banish the darkness forever. Someone who will create a new world reborn from the ashes of war and destruction. A man with enough prowess in battle and bravery in the thick of danger to save our dying world. Ironically, that man happens to be you, Sir Sebastian," she said profoundly. She was awaiting the scoffs, snorts, and the disagreeing expressions and was prepared for all of them.

"Now, we are all well aware of the fact that Sir Sebastian is a drunkard, and is completely inept at mingling with the opposite sex," she gave a short eye roll behind his back as she turned to face the others,"But he is our only hope at this moment. The gods have guaranteed that he will be the one to survive. I don't expect any of you to believe my words," her eyes trained back to Erin again, "but I would ask that all of you take the risk of travelling back to the surface world. If not for me, then for your races. If not for your races, then for Kassina and the future generations to come, so that they too will know the pleasure of having the sunlight dance across their skin."

She remained silent for a while as her words were processed by the others. She glared at Erin with her chin held high and her posture completely unbent. "So, Sir Ironmark, if you will not at least accept Sebastian Rolfe into our quest," she added, standing right next to the drunk she had proclaimed the chosen one, "then I will be forced to stay in this prison with him and the orc until the end of my days."

There was a storm of fire surging through her irises as she stared at Erin with the intensity of the dragon. She had never stood up to him in this way before. Although the control felt good, it made her upset to know that she was going against the wishes of someone whom she considered family.

Seb Rolfe

Image

"I agree," the guardian figure responded, to which Seb quickly after that said sarcastically in a mutter, "Surprise... surprise..." But then the guardian continued, "They'd only hinder us. We should leave them here, they are of no use to us, and most likely deserve to stay."

The only emotion Seb felt at that moment was confusion. Sure, he did not think him and the man to be anywhere near being buddies after the incident at the Broken Bottle, but now it seemed like he wanted to get rid of Seb though, it was not just the Princess that came to see Seb in the first place, it was this man also. But then it came to Seb's senses that the guardian was not looking for him, perhaps it was the Princess instead.

Seb's prediction of the situation was confirmed a truth as he watched Princess Tamora step closer to the guardian, in what seemed to be, well, in Seb's perspective, a menacing demeanor and it was also her words that supported his idea, "How dare you. Out of everyone here, you know of the trials we have faced in order to make it this far - the gambits we've been forced to take just to find him. You swear loyalty to me, and now of all times you challenge my authority?"

So she was looking for Seb, and Seb at this moment would be wondering what for but, he was too busy watching the Princess. Not in any lustful way, but instead as if Seb felt extremely uncomfortable of the circumstance, like he couldn't focus on anything else but the Princess's glare. All of it almost felt... hostile.

But the Princess went on, about a sword, a sword that supposedly could destroy the entire world, and apparently the proof of this was through visions. And of course, Seb was not convinced by any of it, that Zalthu would want to annihilate everything they ever knew was real, nor could Seb believe in a magical sword that could do even such.

Ironically, that man happens to be you, Sir Sebastian."

A stare from the princess fell heavy upon Seb, now he felt even more uncomfortable from when she was disappointed with her guardian. Seb wanted attention from the princess earlier before the prison, but not this type of attention. Was it sad to say, Seb liked it better when Tamora rolled her eyes at him instead of looking straight at him as if there was some type of hope he could bring? And though Seb enjoys being lavished with compliments, even if it is only him giving those compliments, he did not like the way she spoke up him words like hero, chosen one, but much more importantly Seb did not like how she still remained to call him Sebastian Rolfe, sure he let it slide at the tavern thinking perhaps it won't happen quite often, and perhaps they would be parting their ways soon, but now, it seemed things were not going to be as easy as that.

"Now, we are all well aware of the fact that Sir Sebastian is a drunkard, and is completely inept at mingling with the opposite sex."

"Inept? What you expect me to meet you riding on the back of a prancing white pony reciting poetry of Alastair Kingsley the fourth... Perhaps it is what you’re use to...," Sebastian muttered very quietly as he looked down to the ground, it was his comeback to what the princess had said, though he was not brave enough to say it loudly. However Seb preferred to stay as a drunk and a flirt, rather than giving life any more effort. The way Seb saw the situation, was that it was better to give up now than face failure, because all he saw in himself was failure, which was the only thing Seb felt capable of.

The Princess continued, saying Seb was their hope, and even if they did not believe that, they should gather on the quest for their own good. Seb could see that her speech was to be inspiring, but he did not believe anything or anyone could pry him out of the life he has created for himself.

"So, Sir Ironmark, if you will not at least accept Sebastian Rolfe into our quest,” Wait, was Seb hearing that right, did the princess just say Ironmark, first of all, Seb thought they all were exterminated by the orcs, and second, Seb just realized the man he had pissed off in the tavern was an Ironmark, the toughest, most brutal warriors to touch the face of the earth. Why Seb is still living, he would have to thank Bortrag for stepping into the scene, and interrupting Ironmark from going savage on Seb. "then I will be forced to stay in this prison with him and the orc until the end of my days."

“Hang on for a second,” Seb shook his head, backing away from the princess and turning to her.

“Not trying to break up the conversation, well actually I really am, but I see it no longer matter who stays or goes, just as long as we start moving now. How much more time till a guard comes to patrol the cell halls, checking on prisoners. If we don’t leave now then no one is going anywhere except the chopping block,” the dwarf spoke with much concern in his voice, and Seb thought he was right, so he responded to Khedas by saying, “Fine, we’ll catch up.”

Khedas nodded firmly, and opened the door while others followed cautiously. Seb turned around back to the princess, “Do I get a say in this? Because first of all, I go by Seb, not Sebastian Rolfe, just Seb, or even any other word that relates me to be a low-life drunk. What was that about being a chosen one… If this is some joke, then so be it, but I’m getting out of this prison, and after that, I’m going back to where I belong. I think you know where I mean, and its not the surface, Princess.”

Seb was ready to walk away, ready to run away, ready to just do nothing, but ignore the coming day when there will be no world left to do anything, even if that means what he could do right now and fight.

Khedas Marblechest the Vanquisher of Evil

Image

Khedas exited out of their cell hall, glad that he was doing so, because it occurred to him that if they don't start getting a move now, they don't have any hope on ever being free again. But Khedas mainly led the group from then, with Nell by his side of course. Khedas has been through dwarven prisons before when he had White Hunter jobs actually on dwarven soil and needed to question prisoners that knew of abomination activity. So he was a bit familiar with the architecture. But he did not know everything, he would be forced to grab a guard and interrogate him for the location of their inventory.

So as they were walking down a hallway, without warning the others, afraid if he communicated at all it would get them caught, Khedas poked out of a corner to swipe away a dwarven troop, with Khedas locking him in a choke hold and dragging him off, covering the mouth so the guard would be able to warn others.

Khedas then pinned the dwarf against the wall, taking his sword and positioning it centimeters away from the his neck. "Shout for help and I'll chop off you limbs and use you as a shield. Do you understand?" Harsh but Khedas was not going to be the screw up that gets everyone caught, because he took a risky move. "Where do you keep inventory, our inventory."

No response, Khedas furrowed his brow, but he did not attack the dwarf, instead he address the rest of the group in order to deal with the guard, besides Khedas was use to working with a team "He won't answer. Anyone want to give it a try?" Khedas had no problem getting the information himself, but he wanted to investigate the skill of the other companions.

Tabitha remained silent through out the rest of the exchange, as Khedas and Erin wanted to leave Sebastian and Bortrag, and then how Tamora bravely stood up for their right to join.

Almost immediately they began following Khedas out and in order to get information he grabbed a Dwarven guard and began to interrogate him. When he was unsuccessful, he asked us if anyone could do it for him. Instantly, her eyes went down to the ground. "I could, I have the ability, but would they become even more suspicious? Is the best action the one that exposes my ability? Would they then not be on the watch for my ability? I would lose my element of surprise." Tabitha has this small inner war inside herself, and then reasons that since she is trying to gain their trust, it is better that she is vulnerable and helpful with small things, than a pure enigma.

"I would like to give it a try." As she says this she walks up to the dwarf and her eyes change color momentarily, this was a rare moment when a person had given up so much control that they no longer had to be reasoned with, they would do whatever she asked.

"Where are the weapons of the prisoners taken. Can you lead us there? And make sure we don't get seen by any other guard."

The dwarf nodded sleepily and Tabitha motioned for Khedas to let him go. The dwarf immediately began walking in an unnatural stupor, as though his legs were being moved by a marionettist. He lead them down the corridors, eluding the other guards well. Eventually, he brought them to an iron door and unlocked it, opening it up.

"Well, that was easier than expected." Tabitha piped only to be met with the frightened glances of her teammates. "I assure you not to worry, it only works on the weak-willed, those who have given up their passion, or have not found it yet. I am assured that all of you are immune to my skills." She said this but she knew she was lying, it worked on anyone with enough persuasion. But there would be no way they could test if her claims were true or false. They merely had to take her word, which at this point Tabitha was worried they wouldn't. Though, she could be assured that at least Princess Tamora was on her side due to her honor bound commitment of debt to Tabitha. And that was enough to be an assurance.

Erin hid his feelings of sadness, and hurt deep down with a clenched jaw as Tamora began to lecture him. He didn't want to go against her wishes, or disobey her in any way, he merely wanted what was best for her. He just wanted to protect her more than anything. Bortrag mostly ignored what the young princess was saying, but when she mentioned the Sword of Oblivion, she caught his attention, and a sly grin swept across his face. Erin noticed this, and continued to eye the Orc carefully. "I...I am sorry. I did not mean to question you, nor do I challange your authority...I beg your forgiveness." Erin apologized, feeling as if he failed her.

"I don't place stock in gods, or any of that superstitious nonsense, but what you say is true. Zalthu is after the Sword, because he wants to destroy this world." Bortrag stated. "And you would know this how?" Erin questioned with a skeptical look. "Because I was once his most trusted commander." Bortrag said, almost as it was no big deal, or something people often say. "What?!" Erin was even more ready to kill him. "Yes, I was there when your king was captured, the attack on the elves, all of it."

"Milady, if you would not mind, I'm going to kill this murderer now." Erin stated with a clenched fist. "Ha! Need permission from your master slave? And know this boy, I am not a murderer, I was a soldier. I've never killed anyone in my life, I've merely been the weapon of others. And I no longer serve Zalthu." Bortrag smirked. "I am NOT a slave! A slave doesn't choose to be loyal, I do." Erin growled, affirming that he choose his position, though in reality he is probably closer to a slave than he cares to admit.

"That boy, is something we have in common." Erin merely scruffed at the notion of them being similar. "I am a soldier, I serve my people, not the will of a mad king. Yes, I did at one point call Zalthu a friend, a brother, but that time has long since passed. He made sure of that." Bortrag stated as he held up his stump of a left arm, making it clear that Zalthu is the cause of it. "He took my arm, killed my wife, and my child. I will return the favor, ten fold. Your visions are wrong girl, it won't be Seb who kills him, it will be me. I will rip his still beating heart from his chest, and the last thing he ever sees is me eating it in front of him!"

"Yes, we should continue this later." Bortag stated, agreeing with the Dwarf, and followed him. When the Dwarf asked if anyone wanted to take a shot at the guard to get information he was ready to step up, but the woman that freed them beat him to it. She used magic to control the Dwarf, and forced him to lead them to their inventory. "Yes, well I'm going to be staying behind you from now on. I never turn my back on mages." Bortrag stated.

Meanwhile Erin stayed with Seb, and Tamora as they discussed this. "You see, he doesn't even want to do this! I can kill Zalthu myself, the Orc would be a better option than this." Erin stated. "I do not mean to question you mistress. I just want what's best. You know that right? I honestly don't believe he is our best option. But I trust you, if you can tell me with all honesty that you believe he could possibly be what we're looking for, I'll believe you. I won't like it, but I am loyal to you in the end, and I will support whatever decision you make. But you're safety, as always, comes first."

The woman, Tabitha, seemed indeed tricky, but Aenella knew a trustworthy woman when she saw one, this woman had the same proud air as her mother had. She went and stood next to her comrade, Khedas, and a multitude of things happened all at once. The Ironmark boy went to protect the girl, Khedas began to bicker with the drunkard, and the bloody orc was released from his cell.

Nell watched in amusement at first when the Princess stood her ground. Her amusement then turned into a sort of mutual respect. No matter how dainty this girl looked, she had heart. Nell’s eyebrow lifted and she smirked.

”So, the Princess hath spoken. It seems we have no choice.” Aenella crossed her arms. ”I would like to know more of this sword, but I do believe we should leave this place first. I have no people to protect anymore, but if you catch my interest, I may be inclined to join you.” She glared at the orc in the mention of her people and then as the conversation went on, Nell remembered all she could about the Sword of Oblivion. She recalled reading about it somewhere in the vast collection of Elven books that were burned after the destruction of her people. she continued to ponder when she followed Khedas as he turned to find weapons, sticking to his side so as not to get in anyone's way.

Behind her, the Ironmark boy was apologizing to the Princess and then he began to quarrel with the ungodly orc. Aenella turned to watch them for a moment and nearly growled at the orc, who called Zalthu his former brother. She was disgusted, there was no way that some- being, could have a change of heart after being that brutal, even if his family had been killed, she couldn't believe any orc could suffer a change of heart like that. This orc was a liar, and he would pay for what he had done to her people, one way or another.

”I plan on shooting him,” Nell turned to Khedas with a grimace on her face. ”Perhaps not fatally, if the Princess needs him for some ungodly reason, but I will shoot him nonetheless.” They continued to walk.

So, the Princess had magic, and so did Tabitha. Tabitha turned to explain herself, and Nell nodded at her reasoning, wondering if it was true. This was turning out to be an interesting group. She followed along, itching for her bow, as the guard led them towards the vault where the prisoner’s items were kept.

She disliked Dwarven prisons, but this one was rather well designed. The group seemed to avoid all other guards on their journey, and when they reached the great iron door, she sighed with relief. She would rather the light than this cold, dark prison. She watched as the dwarf guard unlocked the vault and stepped inside after him, eager to get her belongings and get out into fresh air.

“Do I get a say in this?" the chosen one whined, "Because first of all, I go by Seb, not Sebastian Rolfe, just Seb, or even any other word that relates me to be a low-life drunk. What was that about being a chosen one… If this is some joke, then so be it, but I’m getting out of this prison, and after that, I’m going back to where I belong. I think you know where I mean, and its not the surface, Princess.”

Tamora opened her mouth as if to say something, but Erin beat her to the punch. "You see, he doesn't even want to do this! I can kill Zalthu myself, the Orc would be a better option than this," he stated. But your safety, as always, comes first."

The maiden smiled at him with elegant grace that only a daughter of King Ronan could possess. "Erin, you are my most trusted confidant, my most cherished guardian, and my dearest friend. I am loyal to you until the end as well. But Erin," she enveloped her small hands in one of his, stopping their pilgrimage through the dwarven prison momentarily, "if it's my safety you are most concerned about, you are going to have to let me go, at least for the time being..."

She smoothed her thumbs across his coarse skin, eventually fading their connection by giving him one last tender smile, and releasing her grip from his. Tamora then gazed down at the floor, quickly striding towards the chosen one and taking her place at his side.

"Don't think so lowly of yourself, Sir Sebastian," she finally quipped, putting emphasis on his title. It was the name the world knew him by, and it was the name that she would call him until she had reason to disregard formalities. "All I'm asking is for you to follow us, at least for a little while. In time, you will see. Things will look up eventually, and your hand will be the one to set it all in motion, whether you like it or not." She intoned all of this upon him in a gentle voice. The princess meant no malice in her words; only promises that she hoped could be fulfilled by fate.

She was one of the first to step inside the vault, unfazed by Tabitha's words or magical abilities. It was nice to know there was another mage as well, even if the mage's abilities were cunning in nature. Tamora knew that others would tremble at the sight of the woman's persuasive skill, but for her, it wasn't something new. In fact, it was an ability she had studied, but not completely understood.

She rummaged through the many things in the inventory, strapping her knapsack around her shoulders and continuing to search for her black cloak. "Now," she began, "once I find the rest of my things, I shall be able to ingest one of my rejuvenating concotions and reverse the effects the dwarves have placed upon me. With my powers back, I should be able to conjure an illusion that shall turn us all invisible. That will help us sneak past the guards undetected. I could probably even create a guiding light that can lead us straight to the exit. Once we're all set, I honestly see no complications in escaping this prison."

It was then that Tamora lifted her cloak from off of the stone floor, revealing something that made her eyes bulge and her heartbeat come to a frightening stop.

Carved into the ground was the sigil she had seen in her dream. That frightening pentagram-shape that had shone a deathly shade of blue. A symbol that had returned again for a reason. A reason she did not yet understand...

And then suddenly, an unprecedented feeling of vertigo whizzed over her. There was a flash of light that only she could see. Short of breath, Tamora stared at the party in helplessness as the whites of her eyes began to flash a bright yellow. Her eyelids lolled back and forth. So did her balance.

"Not again." she sighed. Those were her last words before her pupils rolled upwards, sending her into thin air as she lost consciousness. Before the ground could rise up to meet her, the sigil carved onto the floor traced itself upon her forehead. It glowed an ominous blue color, as if it mocked her in its enigmatic nature. She'd be seeing things again, and those things wouldn't just be dreams.

Seb Rolfe

Seb stood back, leaned against he wall with arms crossed as he listened to the Ironmark man confess that he shed caution and care for the princess. Seb agreed however with Princess Tamora's guardian; he was right, Seb did not have any wish to go off on what will most likely be a tremendous adventure to be the so-called chosen one all because of a vision. Seb then witnessed how the princess reached out for the guardian's hand, holding it, stroking it. So, they were close, or so it seemed, Seb did not know much about the Ironmark clan, other than they are heavy-duty barbarians known to be the world's most resilient warriors, but besides that, Seb had heard rumors that love is not really a thing they value. Or much more, its not something they teach. So Tamora and Erin, they could not be intimate, yes? Or so Seb pondered as he watched the two.

"Don't think so lowly of yourself, Sir Sebastian," the princess had commanded as Seb rolled his eyes, she drug out his name even further. Well, that was when he made it up in his mind to try flirting with her even harder, because well, if she wanted to annoy him with a name he'd wished to be forgotten, he will lavish her with kittenish lines in the future. "All I'm asking is for you to follow us, at least for a little while. In time, you will see. Things will look up eventually, and your hand will be the one to set it all in motion, whether you like it or not."

What did she mean by that? It almost scared Seb, like no matter what he did, he cold not fight the beset fate for him. It was as if he could not deafen himself from the call of destiny. He watched as the princess exited out of the cell hall, following the rest of the party, along with the guardian, where Seb then followed last. Walking, Seb could not understand, out of all the others he had been suddenly stuck with, it was him that was going to be the hero of the quest. But aren't most heroes leaders and don't leaders, well, lead, instead Seb was following behind, far away from the front.

Finally they had made it to the storage room, Seb first equipped himself with his belt along with his daggers, but immediately after that he grabbed his hip flask first and as he picked it up, he first of all noticed how empty it was. So what did Seb do? What Seb does best- he rummaged around for a bottle of whatever alcoholic substance he could find. He opened a cabinet to discover a couple bottles inside, to which Seb when began to fill his flask with a bottle of rum. But as he did that, commotion behind him occurred.

"Not again," he heard being said by the princess as he turned around to then see her eyes spinning upwards into her skull, before she finally collapsed. Seb looked at the bottle he was pouring and then at his flask when he said aloud, "Either I'm drunk, or she is, or things just got incredibly wrong." Seb finished filling the flask and hooked it unto his belt soon after he glanced over to the guardian. "Was that suppose to happen? Well, don't princesses only faint when they see a pretty face like mine?" Seb smiled at his own joke before he quickly broke the grin and said, "That was a joke... don't hurt me... again..."

Khedas Marblechest the Vanquisher of Evil

”I plan on shooting him,” Khedas heard Nell whisper to him. ”Perhaps not fatally, if the Princess needs him for some ungodly reason, but I will shoot him nonetheless.” Khedas found it odd that the princess did not see the orc as a threat, knowing that the king of them kidnapped her father. But did Khedas believe his pointy-eared friend was serious about striking the orc with the head of her arrow, yes, especially due to his knowledge of her past. Nell found the orcs... unforgivable- yes, would be a good word to put it. Because the two people to be the perhaps most furious with the orcs would be her and the Ironmark warrior, both of their people were annihilated by the horrific race.

"Aye Nell," Khedas responded to his companion quietly. "Though I say, the Demon, is no longer the only threat that I believe joins us." Khedas then glared his eyes at Tabitha, though she did not watch how he looked at her with animosity, for he faced her back at the time. Nell knew the history Khedas had with being a White Hunter, they slayed abominations, and making the abdominal list were witches. And Khedas defined witches as people who not only dabbled with the dark arts, but also users that casted spells down on people's minds, thus what this Tabitha had just done with the guard. Though Khedas did not hate mages all together, but instead in the past he had forged strong relationship with some in his time as a White Hunter. Yes White Hunters could be mages able to fight against witches, like sword against sword, magic against magic.

They made their way to the great iron door, and inside the room lied their belongs. Khedas immediately ran to find his weapons, he did not feel quite safe without them, especially around the witch and orc. He plug his sword inside his sheath and his warhammar was strapped around his back. He was making his way to the door, wishing to hurry because he did not know how much longer they had until a patrol check up on their cell hall. He said as he was walking, "I noticed as we were making our way over here, we past the entrance, either we can take our chances with going through the front door or we can risk looking around for a back exit, that may have less guards." Khedas then turned around to hear the party's answer, but as he did he witness something terrorizing...

Right as Tamora had taken off her hood, the princess underwent a fit of something... something Khedas had never seen before. But he could only blame the attack on the princess against the witch, and what he just saw sealed his mind that she was in fact too dangerous to let live. Abruptly, the dwarf lashed out his blade against Tabitha. "What on earth did you do, witch?" he tried his best not to yell, though he kept it to a vicious growl.

"Aye Nell," Khedas responded to his companion quietly. "Though I say, the Demon, is no longer the only threat that I believe joins us."

"Ah, I knew you would suspect her. She seems harmless at the moment, but we can kill her if need be, you know that to be true." She laid a hand on his shoulder sympathetically. She knew of his past, and it must have been difficult to ever even begin to trust a magic user. Nell looked over at the woman with a slight frown, realizing that they had no idea who any of these people really were. Should they join this little crew? She sighed.

The door to the vault opened and found her weapons. She stuck her twin blades in her belt and held her hands on them for a second, savoring the familiar weight of weapons on her waist. With a flourish she swung her quiver over her shoulders and picked up her precious bow, giving it a small tug to make sure it wasn't tampered with. It was in good enough shape, and she swung it over her shoulder to strap it onto her back for the time being. She then surveyed the rest of the vault for a way out. They would most likely have to face more guards, but Nell figures that that the sorceress woman would get them by.

"I noticed as we were making our way over here, we passed the entrance, either we can take our chances with going through the front door or we can risk looking around for a back exit, that may have less guards." Nell nodded at him, she was up for anything.

She heard a rustling close behind her and turned quickly to see the princess fall towards her. Nell's eyes widened and she stepped forward quickly to catch the younger woman as she collapsed. A sigil of sorts made the entire room glow with an eerie blue light and Aenella looked around at the groups faces, all illuminated brightly for the first time. They were mainly covered in dirt, she realized, and they all looked slightly crazed. She looked down at the princess who was light in her arms, her face oddly peaceful given the circumstances. Khedas began to confront Tabitha, but Nell did not look up at him, instead staring at the sigil on the princess' forehead. She had seen it before, just like she had heard of the Sword of Oblivion. Had they been from the same place? She needed to do more research, but unfortunately the books had been burned in the last Elven raid.

"We should leave here, Khedas, you can deal with this woman then." She had a fierce look on her face as she said this and she looked around at the group again. "I remember this symbol, and I'm afraid it doesn't have anything to do with her," She nodded her head towards Tabitha, keeping her eyes on the Vanquisher and narrowing her eyes, still holding the princess in her arms.

Erin simply scruffed at the idea of him having to let Tamora go. He was her guardian, and the last of the Ironmark clan, he's not going to give up on her. Not now, not ever. He'd be failing everyone that came before him if he did that. No, it's simple not an option. Whether she liked it or not. He was silghtly disappointed when she ceased touching him, as he was already missing the warmth of her smooth skin. Erin sighed, and went on to reclaim his weaponry.

Erin happily reclaimed his weapons, feeling rather naked without them. He first holstered his axe, and dagger to his belt before throwing on his sheath for his sword on his back, and attaching his shield to it. Bortrag was also happy to have his inventory back as well. He reattached his prosthetic arm first, making sure it was on tight. He hated having this thing, so annoying when he's without it. He sheathed his sword to his back, and his flail to his hip. Bortrag held up his prosthetic arm, and had a wolfish grin on his face. "I've missed you." He muttered.

When Erin heard the princess falling, he quickly rushed to her side. Luckily the Eleven woman was there to catch her. Erin looked over his charge, noting the sigil on her forehead. It was strange. He's seen her collapse like this before, but never this symbol. "Just. Shut. Up." Erin growled lowly at Seb. He picked Tamora up from the Elf's arms, and brushed some hair caringly out of her face to get a better look at the symbol. "No Dwarf, Lady Javan is not the cause. Her highness has collapsed like this before. It usually means a vison. Though she has never has a symbol appear on her forehead before."

"Great, now we have useless dead weight." Bortrag sighed. Erin shot a fierce glare at the Orc once again. He was about two seconds away from tearing his other arm off. With his teeth. "You fools can sit around, and have a tea party until you get caught for all I care, I'm getting out of here." Bortrag smirked as he drew his sword, and started to head off in hopefully the direction of the exit. The only plan he had to escape was to slaughter every Dwarf, or whatever in his way. Simple, and easy to remember. Plus he'd find it pretty fun.

"As much as I'd hate to say it, the Orc has a point. In that we need to leave. Now." Erin stated, almost choking on his words when he said Bortrag has a point. "I must get her out of here. Lady Javan, you got to us unoticed, can you get us out the same way?" Erin asked. Though he'd rather not rely on a complete, and total stranger, but desperate times right? "If possible, I'd rather not have to cut through a bunch of Dwarf's who are simply doing their jobs. Especially if it's unnecessary." He stated.
