Elegant, usually wears dresses or nice blouses with skirts. That is when she is around her parents of course, since theres no better way to manipulate them other than playing right into their vision of her being a perfect child. She wears expensive jewelry, gold necklaces and rings. Often adorning her pierced ears with extravagant gems. When at home she is never seen wearing anything other than the finest clothing. However when night falls and no one is looking, when she follows her sister to the underground world she wears the clothes that she actually enjoys. Knowing all the while that if her father ever saw her dressed up in leather jackets and ripped up jeans he would have a heart attack. She layers the eye make-up on thick, using dark shades to make her eyes pop.

It isn't much of a surprise that the word trouble and the name Ember are usually hand in hand. She likes to break rules - its her thing, although around her family it isn't as much of her thing. She has a tendency to wreck havoc wherever she goes, and likes to do so from the shadows so that blame doesn't fall on her. She also has a bit of a temper, and has trouble controlling that side of her.
Ember is fiercely independent, and likes to think that she can accomplish anything that she puts her mind to. Rarely does she give up on something, but in those rare times that she does she can become extremely withdrawn and will likely mope a lot. She may seem like a social butterfly, but in truth she is the exact opposite (despite her enjoyment when it comes to parties.) She prefers a tight knit group of friends over a large one, and doesn't have an easy time making new friends. This of course doesn't mean she is opposed to new friends, its just likely that the other person will have to put the most effort towards forming the bond.
She likes to be in control, being without control makes her feel vulnerable. When she feels vulnerable nobody is likely to have a good time. Vulnerability makes her defensive and worried, and she can even have something similar to a panic attack if things begin to go astray from the original plans. She has a hard time getting control of herself at these times, but to stifle the anxiety she often turns to getting drunk or high. Which she knows is extremely unhealthy.
She is loyal, and detests when someone lies to her. However her loyalty is only with those who have earned it. To those who have not she is just as likely to lie and manipulate them as much as she does her own family. It is fairly obvious that she is almost magnetic in the way she draws people in with fake charm and smiles. She has a way of getting what she wants from people, then leaving them high and dry before they even realize it.
Ember is also likely to be aggressive, and dominating over anyone weaker, or anyone who simply lets her. Push overs are practically trampled beneath her feet, as she will take advantage of them without a single word of notice. She likes playing mind games, and never really notices when she has crossed the line. Sometimes she can say some downright awful things to people. Other times she can be as sweet as pie. All of this depends highly on the mood she is in.
One of her most defining traits is her ability to hold a grudge. Piss her off, and you'll have to do a lot of ass-kissing to get back on her good side. Even if you are her friend. Her aggression though is usually easily burnt out if the act that made her angry in the first place was a small one. She doesn't have much of an explosive attitude, rather she shows her anger through giving people the cold shoulder and becoming extremely quiet. She isn't the kind of person who seeks out confrontation, and would rather not get in a physical fight if she can help it. Not to say she is afraid of fighting, rather she finds that fighting is a rather barbaric way to settle an argument.
She is somewhat mature, despite sometimes acting childish. She fluctuates between acting like a child, and acting like a soon-to-be adult. Sometimes she just doesn't want to face the responsibilities of adulthood, while still not wanting to be treated like a child. Which often gets her labeled as being contradictory. She simply doesn't know how to express these feelings to anyone, bottling them up inside of her until the moment the bottle breaks and the feelings spill forth. It isn't hard to know when shes going to have an emotional break down, as her behavior becomes noticeably erratic and she begins to react in large ways to small things.

Things only became worse when Edmund died. Ember spent days crying, hiding away in all the little secret places of the mansion where only her sister could ever find her. Dani being the only one who could truly comfort her during this time. Things for the next few months began to spiral out of control, as she was old enough by then to start realizing that the world they lived in was wrong. She began to question her parents at every turn, rebelling against their rules in any way she could. But she learned quickly that outright rebellion wouldn't do any good, she would have to do it in a more subtle way for any effect to happen.
She temporarily shook off the depression, and began to play her part once more. Only this time she only played the part to keep suspicion off of her. It was only a short time after her changes began to take effect that she noticed Dani would often disappear at times. Ember became curious and started following her. Discovering the underground was a whole new experience for her. One that she immediately became enraptured with. Once she became aware of this world she knew she was addicted to it. Years later and shes still often living more in that world than in her own world.
I've fallen in love with a man on the run
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, I’m begging you please
Don’t take that sinner from me
Oh don’t take that sinner from me
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, what do I do?
I've fallen for someone who’s nothing like you
He’s raised on the edge of the devil’s backbone
Oh I just wanna take him home
Oh I just wanna take him home
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, he’s somewhere between
A hangman’s knot, and three mouths to feed
There wasn't a wrong or a right he could choose
He did what he had to do
Oh he did what he had to do
Give me the burden, give me the blame
I’ll shoulder the load, and I’ll swallow the shame
Give me the burden, give me the blame
How many, how many Hail Marys is it gonna take?
Don’t care if he’s guilty, don’t care if he’s not
He’s good and he’s bad and he’s all that I've got
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, I’m begging you please
Don’t take that sinner from me
Oh don’t take that sinner from me
