Introduction

Image

For thousands of years, Heaven has been at peace. Lucifer and his army of fallen angels have not attempted to attack either heaven or earth since their descent. The angels have had no war with the humans.

But the angels are not content with this. They are a war-like race, and they need to fight. When they have no cause to fight the humans or the demons, they start dividing among themselves. Forming miniature armies. Some wish to attack Lucifer's palace, even without being provoked. Others think that the angels should intervene in the human wars and end them. Unrest is building, and it won't take much to trigger an all out war.

Then that catalyst starts to appear. Six angel teenagers with abilities previously unseen among angels and mastery of the usual angel abilities. Some of the peaceful angels who have seen these angels in training realise how dangerous they could be. Some would see them as the ultimate soldiers. Others would see them as a risk. They come to the conclusion that these angels and their abilities cannot become known to the masses.

So they decide to hide them among the humans on earth. They choose the small town of Riversdale in New Jersey. They pick several people and work the angels into their lives. They manipulate the townspeople's memories so that the angels have always lived in Riversdale, or moved a few years ago. They also work a few of themselves into the town, so that they can keep an eye on the teenager and ensure that they fit in in the town.

However, the fallen angels have caught wind of these angels. They want to destroy them. They are aware that if they become warriors, they have the potential to destroy every fallen angel in Hell- including Lucifer himself. They don't bother wasting time incorporating themselves into Riversdale. They portray themselves as a new family, simply moving into the area.

Riversdale is now at risk of becoming a war zone.

Rules

No GM or PP.
Violence and romance are both allowed and encouraged, as long as it is kept within the RPG rules. No cybering, even in PMs.
Swearing is fine by me. Just don't go overboard.
Stick to the type of powers given in the descriptions. If you have an idea for something but aren't sure, ask me. I don't bite.
Keep autohitting to a minimum, but I ask that both sides are reasonable. For example, if my character jumps yours, your character probably wouldn't have time to get out of the way.
Reservations go in the OOC, please. First come, first served basis.
If you want to change a FC, I ask that you have a decent reason to. Not just "I don't like them" or "I prefer these". Perhaps if you have an idea for a character but none of the given FC's seem to suit it.
If you want to change the backstory I give you, then just PM me with one you'd prefer and I'll change it if it's suitable. Just make sure that you have the spot already reserved.
Make your characters interesting. Allow for interesting relations.
To show you've read all of these rules, please put "Turn Off The Lights" somewhere in your reservation.

Face Claims

Angels

Perhaps the most distinguishing feature of angels is their magnificent wings. They can choose to hide them if they wish, which most do when dealing with humans. They are faster and more agile than humans. They have the power of mental manipulation, which includes memory manipulation. They do not stop aging until they are in their mid twenties, meaning that the younger angels are the age they appear. The younger angels were all incorporated in as foster or adopted kids. More characters will be added if there is the demand.

Image

Daniel Bundrck | 900 | Appears: 27 | Additional Abilities: N/A | FC: Gerard Way | Taken-iCat

He was the one who first noticed the teenager's additional abilities. He decided to accompany them down to earth to make sure they were safe. He worked himself in as a high school English teacher.

Image

Joan Mercury | 850 | Appears: 26 | Additional Abilities: N/A | FC: Olivia Wilde | Taken-RPgamergirl

She worked relatively closely with FC: Gerard Way, and she accompanied the angels to earth. She was worried about how the angels would cope, and is generally a mother figure to them. She worked herself in as a waitress in the coffee shop that most of the high school students frequent.

Image

Jake Ramsay | 18 | Appears: -- | Additional Abilities: Pyrokinesis | FC: Cameron Hurley | Taken-iCat

The academy was one of the few places where he felt like he belonged. People told him he was talented. Now, on Earth, despite the fact that he's been fully incorporated into a life, he still feels like he doesn't belong. He wouldn't admit it, but he's unhappy on Earth.

Image

Kaitlin Alvord | 17 | Appears: -- | Additional Abilities: Phasing | FC: Tay Jardine | Taken-Zoey26123

For the first time in her life, she's doing well. Her teachers like her, she's got good friends, and she thinks that FC: Dan Howell likes her back. She prefers life on Earth, and secretly hopes that they can never go home.

Image

Everett Anderson | 18 | Appears: -- | Additional Abilities: Electrical Manipulation | FC: Lucas Till | Taken-Starlight77

Everything is going right for him. He's finally allowed to date FC: Britt Robertson, as dating between students was frowned upon in the academy they previously attended. He's got a part-time job he loves, and school enthralls him. However, he's still a little homesick. He misses Heaven and being able to use his abilities.

Image

Celine Nightingale | 18 | Appears: | Additional Abilities: Sensory Deprivation| FC: Britt Robertson | Taken- Horseygirl

She perhaps got the rough end of the deal. FC: Gerard Way didn't know it at the time, but the family that "fostered" her into is on the verge of breakdown. She's struggling with most of her grades. However, she's dating FC: Lucas Till, and she's determined to make things work for her.

Humans

The angels worked the four teenage angels into their lives. Their memories were altered so that they believe that the angels have been there all their lives. They are completely ignorant to what is really going on. However, as the Fallen Angels try to destroy the Angels, they will be drawn into the drama, possibly forcing the angels to reveal what is actually going on. More FC's will be added if there is the demand.

Image

Name: | Age: | FC: Evan Peters | OPEN

He was the only child in the family that FC: Britt Robertson was fostered into. He believes she was there since he was eleven, and is incredibly protective of her. He loves her like she was his own sister, even though he knows that they are in no way related.

Image

Vivi Cromeaux | 17 | FC: Emma Blackery | Taken- Retrovertigo

She's FC: Cameron Hurley's best friend. She's always believed in angels, which is why FC: Olivia Wilde chose her to be his best friend. However, in the few days since FC: Cameron Hurley actually turned up, she's started falling for him.

Image

David Jackson | 17 | FC: Dan Howell | Taken- RPgamergirl

He likes FC: Tay Jardine, but he's a little worried about what people would think if he asked her out. He really likes her, but he's still a little self-conscious. She's one of the more popular kids, and he's... not unpopular, but not exactly at her social standing either.

Image

Name: | Age: | FC: Jamie Chung | OPEN

She's one of FC: Lucas Till's friends. She has no romantic interest in him, but thinks that he's too good for FC: Britt Robertson. She doesn't want to upset him, but she's heard rumours about her family and thinks he'd be better off staying away.

Fallen Angels

They have the same abilities as angels, but instead of having mental manipulation, they have shadow manipulation. They are trying to destroy the angels, making it as painful as possible. They intend to inflict both physical and emotional pain on the angels, then destroy them. They are not using their real names rather cover names that will portray them as a family. More FCs will be added if there is the demand.

Image

Jack Killoran | 1011 | 29 | FC: Zachary Quinto | Taken-Retrovertigo

He has a personal vendetta against FC: Gerard Way, and while he was ordered to limit the destruction to only the younger angels, he's also hoping to try and ruin the elder angel.

Image

__________ Killoran | Age: | Appears: | FC: Katie McGrath | OPEN

She has no fondness for Earth or humans, and doesn't care about hurting people. She doesn't care who or what gets in her way- she will ensure that the angels are killed and she will have no regrets. **The users who take on these FCs may decide if there is a romantic relationship or if they are just posing as husband/wife or girlfriend/boyfriend**

Image

Zack Killoran | Age: | Appears: | FC: Alex Gaskarth | Taken- iCat

He and FC: Taylor Swift decided to try and ruin the relationships that the angels were in before killing them. He has his eyes set on making FC: Lucas Till insecure, and ensuring that FC: Dan Howell never makes his move.

Image

__________ Killoran | Age: | Appears: | FC: Taylor Swift | OPEN

Like FC: Alex Gaskarth, she aims to break the angels first. She's hoping to try and persuade FC: Tay Jardine that FC: Dan Howell doesn't like her, and intends to start spreading rumours about FC: Britt Robertson and FC: Lucas Till in the hope of breaking them.

"And that is exactly why if a guy you've only just met turns up underneath your window at two in the morning and asks you to marry him, you should say no and call for help. And the same applies to women. " Daniel concluded, putting his copy of Romeo and Juliet on the desk beside him. He was perched on the edge of it, his legs stretched out in front of him. He was rewarded with a roll of laughter. "I've skimmed through your essays on Romeo's character and I have to say, from what I've read, they seem relatively interesting. Good work. We'll start watching the movie adaption of the play on Monday, and I will hopefully have those essays graded for you." The bell rung, and everyone got to their feet, including him. "Have a good weekend, guys. Look after yourselves." He grinned and stretched a little as his students started streaming out of the classroom. He caught a glimpse of Jake and Vivienne joining the back of the stream of students. Once Jake was near enough, he beckoned him over. "Wait for me outside." He heard him tell Vivienne, before coming up to stand in front of Daniel. The boy's eyes were on the ground. Daniel sighed a little.

"How're you doing?" Daniel asked quietly. Jake shrugged. "Missing home. I mean, this town is nice and all, and the people are wonderful, but it's not..." He trailed off, and Daniel nodded. He missed Heaven as well from time to time. He wasn't used to concealing his wings, and walking around with his wings hidden was unnatural to him. It was surreal. Everyone acted like they had known them for years, when in reality, they'd only been in the town a week. But he seemed to be adapting easier than Jake.

"Hopefully it's not going to be permanent. With a bit of luck, we'll be home in a few weeks. We've got people negotiating on our behalf, persuading them that you're not demons." He noticed Jake's posture stiffen a little. Jake's eyes were staring at the floor, and his head was ducked a little. Daniel frowned. Something was bothering the kid. "Jake, is there anything you want to tell me?" He asked gently, putting a hand on his arm. Jake shook his head, and his posture told Daniel that he wasn't going to get anything out of him.

Daniel sighed. "If you want to talk to me about anything over the weekend, you have my mobile number. We can meet up if you don't want to talk about it over the phone. Go on, don't keep Vivienne waiting. Enjoy yourself this weekend." Jake nodded. "Thanks, sir." He mumbled, and left. Daniel sighed, shoving his few bits into his messenger bag and pulling off his loosely knotted tie, throwing that in on top. His shirt sleeves were already rolled up to the elbow. He slung the bag over his right shoulder and headed out, pulling the classroom door shut after him.

It was their first weekend in the town, and even he was a little concerned about what would happen. He had seen the name "Zach Killoran" on one of his class lists, and was almost sure that it was one of the Fallen Angels. If that wasn't enough, he had thought he had seen Hadriel around.

He was within walking distance of the cafe where Joan worked, so he decided to grab a coffee. Most of the students wouldn't be heading there for another hour or so, so they would be relatively free to talk.

He walked in and perched on a stool at the counter. "Caramel latte please, and one of those giant cookies." He ordered, a grin on his face as he looked at his friend.

Jake smiled at Vivi as he left the classroom. He knew that his posture was giving him away, so he decided to be a little honest. "He knows I visited my family last weekend, and was just asking if everything was alright." He admitted as they started walking down the corridor, towards the freedom of the weekend. "I wasn't exactly going to tell my English teacher that my family are assholes." He laughed a little, fixing the straps of his bag on his shoulder. Vivi felt almost a little familiar, like she had belonged back home.

Then again, that could just be because he had to act that way. But he genuinely did like her.

"So, what do you wanna do? It's the weekend. The world is our oyster." He casually threw one arm around her shoulders as they went down the steps of the school, spreading the other wide. He actually wasn't sure of what there was to do in this town, so he decided to let her take the lead.

If he was back home, they would probably be in training for another hour or two. Then they'd all probably go for a run and settle in for a movie night, before spending the weekend in each other's houses, seeing who could fit the most jelly beans in their mouth. He didn't know how that would roll here, so he decided just to keep his mouth shut. It was always a suggestion, if it came to it.

Joan Mercury

Image

Joan was a bit preoccupied with thoughts this morning, not about her work or normal stuff around this day, but she was thinking about Them . She was worried exactly when she heard about the fallen angels coming to destroy the young angels before they can bring them back home, but now when the new family Killoran came along now they are really need to watch their backs. They are only one week here and it has been quiet, but she is feeling it will not be for long. She was sure Daniel feels it too, he also has a history with one of the fallen angels. She just hopes she and Daniel can train those kids and protect them for their lives.

She was so thinking about those stuff, she almost broke a plate and gave once the wrong order to the wrong table. Luckily, it was not something very often, because she was always a good worker, so the boss just gave her a small break. After five minutes she went back and in almost that time Daniel just entered the coffee shop after his class. She looked at the watch and puzzled, wow, is that the time?. She approached him with a smile and chuckles but nods, "Sure thing, dear". She watched him as she prepared his coffee, his expression totally showed it, they were angels and knew to read expressions well but everyone could see Joan and Daniel were worried. She brought him his coffee and put the big chocolate cookie on a small plate on a napkin. Than she leans towards him, "So, you worried too? more than usual?".

Kaitlin walked down the halls of her somewhat new high school. She had been there for a good time it felt, though at the same time, it felt as if she had been there forever. As she passed people in the hall, Katy waved at the various people she knew and was friends with. It was different walking down the hall and smiling as well as waving at people who liked you and you liked instead of the opposite. Kaitlin smiled as she passed her English class. The teacher was an angel, one she was well aware of considering he had helped with the immersion process that resulted in her being there. Katy shifted her backpack slightly. It was easy to forget that one had wings when one had them their entire life. Having to wear a backpack was rather annoying as if it moved a wrong way, it could result in the strap tugging at her wing. Usually they were folded up tight enough to her back that nothing was wrong, but there were always issues.

Katy walked outside, smiling as she was welcomed to warm weather. She had done rather well on a recent test even if the information was actually useless to her. It felt good to be praised whatever the reason really. Katy had to hurry to get to the coffee shop if she wanted a chance to be able to go out tonight. Her new parents were nice enough though they always wanted to at least see Katy before she went out. They would be leaving the house in a bit so if Katy didn't hurry, there wouldn't even be a slight chance of going out without guilt.

As Katy walked into the cafe, she noticed her English teacher and smiled slightly. There was another lady there that Katy knew well enough though she wasn't one to interact with her except at the cafe itself. "Hi, can I please just have a vanilla bean frappuccino?" Katy asks one of the other workers as she moves for her wallet in her backpack.

Katy gave a small wave and smile to Mr. Daniels before zipping her wallet away again, offering the money to the young male. He moves t give her change and get the drink leaving Katy to stand and wait for him, not sure if she should bother taking out her phone to check for messages or anything. It wasn't a surprise to see any nowadays which made Kaitlin feel all the more happy about herself.

Come on… come on..

Everett couldn’t help it as his eyes darted from the clock to his teacher, who also happened to be Daniel. Usually, Everett enjoyed his class; it was intriguing and interesting, but all her wanted right now was for the weekend to start. His fingers tapped a short tune onto his wooden desk, his foot bouncing up and down in anticipation.

As soon as the bell rang, Everett leapt from his seat. He shoved all of his things into his backpack, slung it over his shoulder, and walked out of the room to meet up with his favorite person in the world, Celine, who also just happened to be his girlfriend. As soon as the two began their way down the hall, they walked side-by-side. Everett was sporting his friendly grin, like usual, when he wrapped his arm around Celine’s waist, not stopping as the pair walked out the school’s entrance.

A loud, content hum rumbled deep in Everett’s throat. “So, Ceeeline,” He smirked, putting extra pronunciation into the first ‘e’ in her name. He also called her by her first name, even though he usually called her Lena instead. “What would you like to do this fine Friday evening?” He asked, making his tone sound jokingly formal. He lowered his voice enough that the people around them wouldn’t hear. “I mean it is the first weekend we have here…”

“We could…” Everett thought deeply, furrowing his brow. “Oh, we could watch a movie, oooor go out to eat, ooor just relax at my place.” He smiled at the things he came up with. “Oh, I could borrow my dad’s car and we could go for a scenic drive or something… hmm… that sounds kinda lame actually, nevermind.” He let out a soft chuckle.

The family Everett currently lived with consisted only of a seemingly young couple, with both of them not even in their forties yet. They were both usually away working, and when they weren’t they weren’t working, they’re going out on dates. Everett spends most of his evenings at home alone, unless Celine is with him.

“Got any suggestions, sweetheart?” He asked, flashing another proud smirk.

Celine bit her lip as her eyes trailed down to her arm, catching sight of an angry bruise that wrapped around her wrist. She quickly tugged her sleeve down, glancing around to make sure nobody had noticed. She had been trying hard to make sure that nobody noticed anything wrong- everyone already had so much to worry about. She didn't want to burden any of them. Not to mention, Everett seemed so happy. She didn't want anything to put a damper on that- she would do anything to keep that breathtaking smile on his face. And Daniel really seemed to want all of them to fit in.

She glanced at the clock, feeling a little jittery. She was excited to see Ev again- they would have all weekend to do whatever they pleased. As a couple. After trying so hard to keep only as friends for so long, now that they could date she couldn't stand to be apart from him. Being his best friend was wonderful, but being his girlfriend was amazing.

Lena jumped up and scooped up her things as soon as the bell rung. She hurried out the door, and a bright smile lit up her face as soon as she spotted Everett. She quickly moved to his side, and her heart fluttered as he wrapped his arm around her waist, and she grinned up at him. She loved being close to him.

“So, Ceeeline,” Ev smirked, and she chuckled. God, he is just so cute. “What would you like to do this fine Friday evening?” He asked, and a little bubble of laughter asked her at the formality of his tone. “I mean it is the first weekend we have here…” He lowered his voice slightly, and she smiled at him. "Our first weekend that we can be openly couple-y." She grinned, lacing her fingers with his.

“We could…” He furrowed his brow, and she couldn't help but appreciate how attractive he was once more. He had the most adorable dimples, and the sweetest smile that just broke her heart. Not to mention the had the most beautiful blue eyes. “Oh, we could watch a movie, oooor go out to eat, ooor just relax at my place.” Ev grinned as he spoke, and she couldn't help but smile in response. “Oh, I could borrow my dad’s car and we could go for a scenic drive or something… hmm… that sounds kinda lame actually, nevermind.” This statement earned him another soft bubble of laughter.

“Got any suggestions, sweetheart?” He asked, smirking down at her. Resisting the urge to kiss him, she flashed him dimpled smile of her own. "I would be perfectly content with relaxing at your house." She stated, her bright smile never leaving her lips. "We have all weekend to soak up the world together."

”Wait for me outside.”

With a quick backwards glance towards Jake and Mr. Bundrick, Vivi nodded her assent and slipped into the hallway. Tugging on her backpack she took up a spot leaning against some lockers so as not to get trampled by the herd of students desperate to get their weekend under way. The fairly friendly girl, whose hair was currently dyed a deep purple, waved at passing friends intent on waiting around for Jake. Her patience was quickly rewarded.

Vivi could immediately tell there was something amiss with her best friend, and her usually sunny expression was marred with the briefest look of concern before concealing it. She knew Jake wouldn’t want her to worry or try to figure out what was wrong; he’d tell her in his own time. Which was apparently right now.

"He knows I visited my family last weekend, and was just asking if everything was alright. I wasn't exactly going to tell my English teacher that my family are assholes."

With a dawning realization she bobbed her head in understanding and favored him with a warm smile. “You never know, Jake, Mr. Bundrick could descend from a long line of assholes himself. I hope your visit wasn’t too terrible and you made it back alive so there’s a bright side.” Vivi teased good-naturedly, elbowing him lightly in the ribs as he slung his arm around her shoulder.
For a moment Vivienne felt her face grow warm and her pulse quicken a bit. It’d been something that was becoming more noticeable even though she did her best to deny it. She actually had a crush on Jake, it seemed so weird to think that such a short time ago she’d have never believed it. How quick things change she supposes.

“We do what we always do, Jake. Try to take over the world.” Vivi said with mock seriousness and a wink before deciding to give him a straight answer. “But when that falls through, I dunno. Maybe we get candy and pizza then glue ourselves to Netflix, although not very ambitious. If you’re feeling adventurous we can always try and find some live music somewhere.”

He grinned as Joan handed him his coffee and his drink. "Thanks." She leaned in and lowered her voice. "So, you worried too? More than usual?" He sighed and nodded. "I don't exactly trust the name Killoran. And I'm almost sure I saw Hadriel yesterday. I never considered them as a threat. But if the kids aren't safe here, where are they safe? He shrugged, taking a sip of his coffee and grinning. "You know exactly how I like it."

He looked up to see Kaitlin come in. She ordered and gave him a little wave, and he grinned back in response. He looked back at Joan. "It's nice to see that some of the kids are doing well here. You know, I don't think it would be so bad if we couldn't go back. But then we have the kids who aren't doing so well..." He trailed off.

He broke off a bit of his cookie and dipped it in his coffee. "What would you do? If we had the choice to stay or go back?"

Maybe we get candy and pizza then glue ourselves to Netflix, although not very ambitious. If you’re feeling adventurous we can always try and find some live music somewhere.” He raised an eyebrow in thought, then grinned at her.

"Why bother trying to find it? I have two guitars, a piano and a bass. I could always play you some live music..." He paused, his grin growing ever bigger as he looked at her. A mischievous streak ran through that grin. "On the condition that you sing. Then, afterwards, we could grab some pizza and insist to everyone that asks that we're not actually on a date. Or say nothing and just piss ourselves laughing." He suggested, grinning at her. Suddenly Riversdale didn't seem so bad.

"So, my house it is then? Access to a grand piano, an acoustic and electric guitar and a bass?"

"I would be perfectly content with relaxing at your house."

Everett smiled happily at her response. “So would I.” He responded simply, his arm still wrapped around Lena, pulling her closer to him.

"We have all weekend to soak up the world together."

“Yes, that we do. And I am very glad for it.” He marched down the sidewalk on the way to his house, not once not smiling.

Everett lived relatively close to the school: it was less than a ten minute walk to and from. He and Lena made small talk meanwhile, their feet kicking up little pebbles as they walked. They soon came upon Everett’s current home. The house was nice, decently sized with two floors. The outside was a faded tan color and the door black. He unlocked it and led Lena inside, shutting it behind him. He look a quick glance around the entryway.

“Hmm… looks like Jean and Ross aren’t home…” He muttered quickly to himself as he kicked his shoes off and tossed them into a closet by the door. He put his bag down by the door as well and turned to Lena. “My home is your home, always remember that.” He said, flashing a friendly smile as he spread his arms wide. He lead her into the living room, smiling to himself. “Stay right here.” He told her and darted out of the room for a moment. He could be heard running up the stairs and walking back down a mere minute later. He came back into the living room topless, wearing simply a pair of dark grey sweatpants. He whistled calmly, as if he hadn’t just shed half of his clothes.

Another rumbling, content hum came from deep within his throat as Everett walked over to his girlfriend, placing his hands on her hips and pulling her closer. He was a few inches taller than her, which he liked. She was the perfect size for him. He planted a tender kiss to her forehead before pecking her nose as well, a devilish smirk forming on his face. He leaned forward enough so his lips were practically touching her’s. He felt her inhale and he grinned. He pulled back quickly, squatting down and wrapped his arms firmly around her midsection. In one foul swoop, he had hoisted her into the air and jumped onto the couch, tossing her down onto the cushions. He practically crawled on top of her, his hands creeping up her belly. I smiled and giggled as he poked her stomach and sides repeatedly.

Everett growled and roared about as menacingly as a golden retriever puppy, tickling Lena relentlessly. He laughed loudly, making sure she couldn’t escape.

"Why bother trying to find it? I have two guitars, a piano and a bass. I could always play you some live music...On the condition that you sing.

“Well you know you don’t have to twist my arm, you know I like to sing. Especially when we’re together.” Vivi replied blithely before realizing the implication of her words and backtracking a bit. “I mean, when we’re performing together.” The purple haired girl finished sheepishly as they exited the school building into the light of day.

Vivienne was actually quite proud of her singing talent, it was what she was good at. There had been times when that was all that had gotten her through and she took great joy in it. So it would come as no surprise to Jake that Vivi would immediately seize upon his offer. This would also give her the chance to brush up on her piano skills. While she was fair to middling, she in no way rivaled Jake’s ability.

Then, afterwards, we could grab some pizza and insist to everyone that asks that we're not actually on a date. Or say nothing and just piss ourselves laughing. So, my house it is then? Access to a grand piano, an acoustic and electric guitar and a bass

“You’d be so lucky” Vivi teased back, rolling her eyes at her best friend as a flood of departing students streamed past them. It wouldn’t be the first time that people assumed Jake and Vivienne were an item which they’d always been quick to deny. Vivi felt for the first time that she’d might not answer so quick.

“I like your style, Kid.” Vivi continued dramatically bestowing upon Jake a brilliant smile.“Lead the way and if you’re nice I’ll sing for you and let you buy me pizza.”

The fallen angel now known as Jack shifted restlessly in the chair behind his neat desk. It had been a day full of squalling, snotty children and it had taken everything in his power not to swallow them up with darkness and let the demons feed on their bones. He regretted the day that he saw the advertisement for a pediatrician but it had served a great opportunity to immerse himself in this nothing of a town.

If it was up to Jack he would have obliterated this depressing hole but discretion was the better part of valor someone said once. Instead he’d have to ingratiate himself to these people, gain their trust and find the hidden angels. It shouldn’t be too terribly difficult to smite a few teenagers but Jack had been around long enough to never take anything for granted.

So instead he was stuck here with his fellow fallen angels posing as a family. The thought of actually having a wife or caring for an orphaned nephew was laughable. Jack had actually been born into a fairly large family and had hated every second of it. With a grimace at his plight he pushed back from his desk and left his tiny office, not bothering to lock it. The fool who dared to trespass into inner sanctum would be in for quite a surprise.

As the fallen angel emerged from his office the change in his personality and physicality was palpable. Instead of a dark scowl on his face it was now lit by an award winning smile, and now he didn’t seem so tense as if he was ready to pounce upon anything that moved. Now Jack had a bit of a bounce in his step and jauntily waved at the receptionist as he walked outside.

Walking over to the café that was only a few blocks from his office he applauded his choice when he caught sight of the other occupants. Daniel and another angel, his sycophant most likely. While Jack was here to destroy the younger angels he wasn’t above some collateral damage. Of course now wasn’t nearly the right time, but it wouldn’t hurt to show his face. Jack like the idea of the angels knowing of his presence, living their days in dreadful anticipation.

Hopping lightly onto a stool, he smiled indulgently. “Coffee. Black. And a menu. I’m positively famished.”

Daniel glanced up as a newcomer entered the cafe. It took him a second or two to recognise the face- but once he did, he almost forgot to breathe. Hadriel. He shot a panicked look at Joan before taking a moment to regain his composure. He leaned in slightly. "Joan. I don't want to panic you, but there's a certain fallen angel sitting a few seats away."

He inclined his head towards where he was sitting. He almost snapped the handle from the mug as he realised that Kaitlin was still in the cafe. "Joan, I have to do something. Kaitlin's still here, and I don't think he's in Riversdale to sample the tourist life." He took a mouthful out of his coffee and walked over to where Hadriel was sitting. He took a moment to remember the times he'd heard Killoran mentioned. Then it hit him- Jack Killoran, the new pediatrician.

"I hope you don't mean any trouble, Jack." He said quietly, leaning in like he was just making a passing comment or recommending something on the menu. But he allowed the venom to carry through in his voice, making sure the volume was low enough for only Hadriel to hear it.

She gave him a brilliant smile, and he found himself returning a smaller one. She wasn't the worst person he could get stuck with. “Lead the way and if you’re nice I’ll sing for you and let you buy me pizza.” He laughed a little. "I love how you just accept that I won't let you pay for it."

He dropped his arm from around her shoulders as they walked, but they stayed close. They chatted and laughed, making comments about their classes and teachers. Daniel was no exception, his vivid red hair coming up more than once. It just felt so natural. There was an aura of familiarity about her, one that he liked.

After a while, they reached his foster parents' house. It was a dormer bungalow of a decent size, more than big enough for the three of them. They both had well paying jobs, and apparently a rich old aunt who had been fond of his foster father had left them a fortune. However, this wasn't something that they flaunted. Everyone knew the family was well off, but nobody outside the family knew exactly how well off.

He opened the door and yelled, "I'm home!" He was greeted with only the echoes of his own voice, which was no great surprise. But he didn't care- he'd grown up in a house in which things were the same, and he was used to only having the music for his own company. It was nice having Vivi as well.

"Just ourselves, it appears." He remarked as he started making his way up the stairs. The grand piano was in one of the empty bedrooms, so he grabbed his amp, electric guitar and bass, hauling them all into the room. "I'm thinking of taking up drums. I could be a one man band then. Wait, no. My singing's dodgy at best. I could get you on vocals." He joked, plugging the cable for the guitar into the amp and then into the end of the guitar. "So, what do you want to play first?"

“Stay right here.” Ev ordered, and Celine looked at him a little skeptically but her smile remained firmly placed on her lips. She glanced over at the living room while she waited. It was warm and cozy looking, and it just went like a warm atmosphere that was good to be in. So unlike her own foster home. She ran her fingers over the fabric of the couch, and turned when she heard Everett coming down the stairs.

When she spotted him, she flushed darkly. "E-Ev!" she stuttered, quickly looking down shyly. He was clearly enjoying her flustered reaction, as he came over, put his hands on her hips and pulled her closer. She grinned as he gave her a tender kiss, and practically melted in his arms. He leaned down to kiss her and she tilted her face forward expectantly, her breath catching. Just as she closed her eyes, waiting for their lips to meet, he pulled away. She blinked, pouting slightly. "You tease!"

Before she could say another word, he threw her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "Hey!" She protected with a little giggle. He threw her on the couch, and pinned her down. "Ev..." she warned, and squealed when he began tickling her. "Ev!" She squealed, laughing hard. She struggled against him, trying desperately to get away. She giggled as he blocked her, being much stronger than her. "Please!!" she laughed, squirming and laughing beneath him.

By the time he gave her a minute to catch her breath, she was breathing hard. "Are you trying to kill me?" She laughed. She leaned forward and gave him a light kiss. She rested her cheek on his arm, and smiled gently up at him. "You could lie down without trying to kill me, you know." She laughed lightly.

Lena moved over, making room for him next to her. "It looks like your foster family is really nice." She smiled at him, although it was a little strained.

Joan Mercury

Joan blinked and her face showed a worried look as she heard the name Killoran. She nodded in agreement to Daniel's opinion about them. "I know, it is something we need to pay real attention to. But, yes, like you said, where else will they be safe?". She smiled when he sipped his coffee and liked it. She watched Kaitlin coming through the door and ordering from the other waitress. She nodded again with a smile, "This is why we are here, to make sure not just they safe but are doing well. As for going back, for the young ones it is best for them to go back, at least till the danger clear away". She than wondered in thoughts about their home , heaven. She won't lie, she do miss it and there they won't need hiding their powers and their true identity. "Hey, I won't mind going back any day, but I promised myself I will not let anything happen to those kids and us, even you".

Joan sighs and took a clean cloth and started cleaning the counter as there was no one else yet to serve. Most people now are going home for lunch or going to the restaurant nearby. This time the coffee shop had only her, Daniel and Kaitlin and the other waitress. But than she heard the bell on the door ring as another costumer entered the place. Joan's eyes widen as she recognized it was the new pediatrician that joined the town. It was not so bad, till she realized his name was Killoran, the family of the fallen angels which came to this town not so long ago.

Daniel leaned to Joan saying, "Joan. I don't want to panic you, but there's a certain fallen angel sitting a few seats away." Joan takes a deep breath, making herself calm and nodded. She whispered very silently to him, "I know....".
"Joan, I have to do something. Kaitlin's still here, and I don't think he's in Riversdale to sample the tourist life." . Now Joan realized Kaitlin is here too, of the kids they trying to protect. Now they really need to pay attention to this. She needs to stay close to Kaitlin, "I will watch Kaitlin, be careful Daniel....". When the waitress approached to bring Kaitlin's order she quickly sprinted to her and said, "It is okay, Jane, I will give it to her. Can you fill the coffee's machine? you know I am terrible at that....". The other waitress laughed and nodded. Joan took Kaitlin's drink and brought it to her table. She smiled, "Here you go, dear. How are you?". Smiled hoping Kaitlin will talk for a bit, most of the young angels like talking to Joan like a mother, Kaitlin is somehow more closed.

Kaitlin had taken a seat by the window of the cafe as she waited. It was her favorite spot in the sun and allowed her to look up at the sky which was where she really wanted to be though that couldn't happen often for sake of staying under the radar. It wasn't all bad, but then again, it wasn't too long ago before Kaitlin had flown down to earth to stay here. Flying was always something fun, free, and amazing.

Kaitlin looked away from the sunny sky to smile up at Joan. "Rather well, things are going good. Thank you for this by the way," Kaitlin says as she raises her coffee cup as she stands. She had seen the fellow come in, he looked different, and seemed to not be trying to hide it. She lifted her bag from the chair and swung it onto her shoulder, careful to make it not uncomfortable. "How're you doing yourself?" Kaitlin asks in a polite and friendly way. She wasn't going to skip out on being polite to Joan even if Joan didn't seem to mind much when she did forget to be polite.

Kaitlin took a small sip of her drink, savoring the taste for a moment as she waited for a response, her eyes right behind Joan on the fellow who Daniel seemed to be talking to. Was the man a fellow angel? A fallen one? A new friend of Daniel's? Probably not a friend considering the look Daniel had on his face. Maybe the man was an angel that Daniel knew and just had something against... or maybe the man was a fallen angel after all.

Kaitlin's eyes went back to Joan as she realized she had been staring and didn't want to seem rude, or have someone get the wrong idea. Things were going too well and it seems as if one mistake could make her picture crumble into so many pieces, there would be nothing left.

Kaitlin's phone vibrated in her pocket slightly though she ignored it. The only person that had her number that would be calling at this time would be her fake parents. Her father might want to ask her to pick something up from the store or to hurry home to talk about tonight or something, but would understand that Katy was talking with an adult and wouldn't get mad. He was a nice man and understanding even if he was a bit overprotective at times. It hurt Katy a bit to see the people having been manipulated to love the angels, to hide them. It was as if they were nothing but things that could be manipulated. Without them though, the angels would be caught and killed faster than any animal being hunted.

His feet pounded against the ground. He didn't have to push himself this hard. He was already a decent amount ahead of the others. But then again, he wasn't even pushing himself as hard as he could. This was his three-quarter pace, and the humans struggled to keep up with him, even when they were sprinting. He wasn't going to rein himself in anymore to make things easier for them.

It was no surprise when he crossed the finish line first. He was sufficiently out of breath to make the coach think that he had been pushing himself to his limit. "Good work, Killoran. I don't know what was in the water back in New York, but it's certainly made an excellent athlete out of you. We'd love to have you on the team." Zach grinned and nodded. "I'd love to be on it." The coach looked ecstatic and slapped him on the shoulder. "Go hit the showers. Training is on every day after school." Zach nodded and went into the changing rooms to change back into his normal clothes.

Twenty minutes later, he was dressed in a red and black checked shirt, black jeans and plain black Vans. What he really wanted to do was to stretch his wings and fly, but there was always a risk of him being spotted. And he doubted his ability to explain that. He was supposed to be tired, which ruled out going for a run. Besides, it was a tad bright outside, and he could feel a headache starting to come on.

An idea struck him, and he grinned. He'd seen the angels hanging out in a certain coffee shop, and he was pretty sure that one of the girls who worked there was an angel too. He headed for it, and grinned. Sure enough, one of the elder angels, his English teacher, was talking to a man- Hadriel. His eyes searched the shop, and saw one of them talking to the waitress. Perfect. He wasn't going to start anything- but if Hadriel, posing as his father, and the angel kicked off... Well, that was a different matter.

He walked over to the girl and slid into the booth, grinning at her and the waitress. "Hey. I'll take a spiced mocha, please, and something sweet. Whatever you recommend." He handed the menu to her and looked at the angel.

"You're Kaitlin, right? The name's Zach. Zach Killoran. I don't think we've been introduced. I just moved here earlier this week. You've been living here your whole life, right?" He grinned, knowing all too well that this wasn't true and wondering if she'd trip up over it.

"Are you trying to kill me?"

Everett grinned as she kissed him. “Aww, you know I’d never do that to my princess.” He laughed softly, shifting on top of her.

"You could lie down without trying to kill me, you know."

“Well, if you insist.” He smirked and let his body drop down next to her, lying on his side.

"It looks like your foster family is really nice."

“They are, but not as nice as you.” He then grabbed her waist and moved her body somewhat so she was facing away from him. Everett wrapped his arms around her stomach and gently hugged her body to his, a giant smirk on his face. He curled his body around her so his chest was against her back and his nose pushed against the back of her head.

Everett breathed in deeply, taking in the smell of her hair. It smelled sweet, like some sort of berry or fruit. He made a soft rumbling sound deep in his throat, closing his eyes slightly. “You smell so good..” His voice was just above a whisper. “Good enough to eat…” He muttered, nuzzling his nose into her hair. He then moved her hair to the side and planted a soft kiss on the base of her neck. He then chuckled softly. “I actually hadn’t meant for that to sound like… that. Oops.” He smirked and kissed her neck again, but a bit higher up.

“Hmm…” Everett glanced at a clock on the wall. “Jean and Ross are really nice, but they're always gone. Sometimes I wonder what they’re always doing…” He muttered then laughed quietly. “Young love, am I right?” His tone was teasing and playful.

“Since they’re both gone… that means we’ll have the house to ourselves until nine…” Everett smirked, suddenly hugging her very tightly before loosening his grip on her. His arms remained firmly around her waist still. “I’m just kidding..” He giggled and smirked, kissing just behind her ear.

Kaitlin looked over to Zach and gave a small smile then quickly turned her attention back to Joan. "I'm sorry, I'll swing by later and we can talk again," Kaitlin says politely to Joan before retaking her seat somewhat reluctant though she didn't show it. "Ah, yeah, kind of. I mean, I was born on the east coast, my family moved over here so my dad could get this job at the hospital. I don't really remember the move all that much, so really I have lived here all the time," Kaitlin says with a smile as she stirs her drink carefully.

She had watched the city of Riversdale ever since she heard of the possibility of the angels coming here and had noticed when Zach arrived. She had never thought anything of it but maybe there was a connection, or maybe just destiny... whatever that had to do with anything.

"And yes, I'm Kaitlin. Kaitlin Alvord. It's nice to meet you. How do you like Riversdale so far? Find anything fun or interesting quite yet? It's is a small town and all," Kaitlin says with a smile as she took a sip of her drink.

Kaitlin glances at her clock and notices the time with some surprise. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I'd love to talk but I have to get home soon. I live just a couple blocks away if you want to walk and talk," Kaitlin offers as she moves to stand away, seeing another waitress who had heard Zach's order bringing it over.

The fellow didn't seem so bad, rather nice in fact. He sent of the sort of vibe an angel did, but also something that a fallen angel had. It was as if he wasn't sure what he was making Kaitlin unsure as well. He could just be an angel in disguise, or maybe a fallen angel in disguise, trying to blend in like the angels were.

Kaitlin looked to the door, weighing her options as she adjusted her backpack again, feeling it tugging at her wing again for some reason. She needed a new backpack, one that was more so a messenger bag than a backpack. Without it, it would just be incredibly uncomfortable and make no sense at all.

Her phone rang again, seemingly more persistent. It was annoying and made Kaitlin want to answer it, but she withheld. She could not be rude to someone she just met, her father would understand as would her mother when her father told her mother if they got worried enough. It was cute and funny in their own little way, the concern that they shared for their daughter that wasn't really theirs.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I'd love to talk but I have to get home soon. I live just a couple blocks away if you want to walk and talk," She said apologetically. He stared at her for a second or two, a grin stealing his face. She didn't know what he was. She had no idea. Either that, or she was foolishly brave, thinking she could take him on alone. "Sure thing. It's nice to be able to have a decent conversation with someone. He stood, handing the server a ten dollar note. "Keep the change." He said with a grin.

He made idle conversation as they walked, sipping on their coffee. The spiced mocha was good, but in reality, he was watching his surroundings. Waiting for the perfect moment. He kept an eye on every shadow around him, making sure they didn't go anywhere that was too bright. The trees seem to close overhead as they walked, giving him plenty of ammunition. Perfect.

As soon as they were out of range of most of the humans, he stopped walking and turned to look at her. "You know, Kaitlin, I've never met anyone quite like you." He stepped as close to her as he could, looking down at her. A seductive smile took over his face. If he could fool her into thinking that he was going to kiss her or otherwise embrace her, she would be easy prey. "But I have heard stories..." He leaned in, his lips barely brushing her ears. As carefully as he could, he grasped the shadows and manipulated them into a tangible dagger.

"Stories of how you die." He whispered, before shoving both hands into her chest. Using both his unnatural speed and strength, he shoved her against the wall of the nearest house and pinned her there.. He smiled as he thought of how her blood would look spattered against the tan walls. He got the impression that there was more than just her around. All the better. Destroy them by allowing them to discover that one of their own was dead. He held the dagger to her throat, running his fingers against her skin.

"Any last words, Kaitlin?" He asked softly, looking into her eyes. He wanted to see the light leave them.

Kaitlin had been enjoying the walk really. It was friendly and the weather was nice. She would make it home just in time to talk with her parents before she'd go out again probably. The shade provided relief from the sun and the trees made things seem better for whatever reason. Zach was nice company it seemed. He didn't seem to be extremely dedicated to the conversation though.

When Zach got close, Kaitlin felt extremely nervous. She had never gotten close to any guy in such a manor, much less one that was taller and older and may or may not be a good person. She wasn't necessarily surprised about the comment of never meeting someone like her, most people rarely met people such as her, especially like her. She had tried to take a slight step back but didn't get far as he was already so close. He was so close as he spoke, it made her stomach flit with nerves. Kaitlin couldn't tell if they were good or bad, but she just met Zach and had something for someone else, how could she have any thoughts of Zach?

Being shoved into the wall behind her made Kaitlin disoriented as he head hit the hard brick of the house. She saw stars momentarily before looking up to see what was so cool at her neck as well as what was grazing her skin. Kaitlin could identify the nerves now, could the cold presence of shadows.

"You're a fallen angel, and shouldn't underestimate me. Don't believe all the stories you hear," Kaitlin says as she struggles momentarily, her backpack not caught on her wing and causing more than discomfort. She took a deep breath, feeling the blade cut only slightly into her neck before it wasn't there anymore, and Kaitlin was on the ground beside Zach. She looked up to see him standing over her. She had phased and fallen to the side. If she went into the house, she would risk being caught, at least here she wasn't about to die and hadn't revealed anything new.

Kaitlin scrambled to stand, in her rush taking off her backpack, and took off, her speed unnatural compared to that of humans. She ran towards the area where the shadows weren't, hoping her speed could get her out of the area before Zach would recover from her escaping his grasp. Kaitlin spotted a door just shaded by a large tree, a door she recognized.

Kaitlin recognized the house she had been pushed up against and prayed that Everett might be home. One of the other angels. "Everett, Everett please it's Kaitlin, there's... there's a fallen one out here. Your parents," Kaitlin began as she ran towards the door, wondering who would be faster. She hoped Everett would understand why she wasn't just coming in, would come out, would understand her calling about a fallen.
