Full Name:
Zach Edward Killoran- Formerly known as Camael

Real Age:
18

The Gender They Prefer:
Everything and anything that's human, angel or fallen.

What They Are:
Fallen Angel

What They Do:
Student

What They Can Do:
Shadow Manipulation
Zach can control shadows. While he can increase their mass once he is manipulating them, he cannot create them. He can shape them into tangible objects- for example, he could make a dagger out of shadows and stab you with it. However, doing so requires more energy than just causing them to engulf or restrain someone. He can use the shadows in their original form to swallow someone, obscuring their vision and muting their other senses until he releases them. He is completely weakened in bright places- not just his powers. Obviously, he requires shadows to use his ability. When he is in too much light for too long, his ability to concentrate deteriorates, and he gets a nasty headache.

What They Like:
  • The dark
  • When it's cold enough outside to see your breath
  • Knowing where he stands
  • Having lots of shadows to use
  • Coffee
  • Being able to concentrate
  • People who don't feel the need to talk all the time
  • Rock music
  • Water
  • Photography
What They Dislike:
  • Bright places
  • Having headaches
  • Being too warm
  • Country music
  • Bitter foods
  • Being unsure of himself
  • People who just cannot shut up
  • Fire
  • Enclosed spaces

What They Fear:
Despite his constant insisting that he isn't afraid of anything, he actually fears a lot.

He fears being trapped in a bright room for long periods of time and not being able to escape, to the point where as school goes on, he gets agitated and grows increasingly so until he can get out or somewhere dark. He fears being tortured painfully by anyone if they found out what he actually was. He fears being killed slowly and painfully. He is incredibly claustrophobic. He hates being in enclosed spaces for any periods of time.

Who They Are:
Zach is the type of person to stop at nothing to get something he wants. He is certainly not against using his increased speed to his advantage in track running. He is seen as a little bit of a jock, hanging out with most of the other athletes. However, sports is far from his life. He only does it because running reminds him of flying, something that he misses. He is usually extremely sarcastic and/or vicious. If he doesn't like you, he'll tell you straight out and he won't waste any words doing so. If you do anything to piss him off, he will call you every name under the sun while holding a knife to your throat. Even the people he hangs around with and his few friends aren't sure what to make of his temper. He isn't past using people for his own gain either, and he would turn his back on you without thinking twice- unless he was extremely fond of you.

However, most of this is nurture as opposed to nature. He was never close enough to anyone to regret walking away. Underneath it all, he's actually just scared. He's frightened by what he is and what it means. He seals himself up in a cage of coldness and sarcasm, because that was what he was raised around. If you are close to him, you will discover a burning loyalty and passion. If you managed to get close enough to discover these, then he is extremely fond of you, and you should consider yourself lucky. If he lets you in entirely, you will see how confused he really is beneath it all. He doesn't know how he should act or treat people. He was a weakness for those who need looking after, and he shows them an incredible kindness that takes many by surprise.

Their Story:
Zach actually isn't entirely fallen angel. His mother was still an angel when he was conceived, while his father was fallen, and as a result, he was half-angel, half-fallen. His parents realised this when he was very young. They hid him away, just in case he showed any signs of being an angel. They started to panic when he started to grow wings, but as they developed, they turned pitch black. While wings were uncommon among fallen, they did happen. As he grew up, he didn't exhibit any signs of being angel, so he grew up a fallen. He was never that close to anybody, and he adopted many of the habits he saw in his peers.

He was brainwashed into hating angels. He knew what he was, but he was raised to be entirely fallen. He was told that he was supposed to hate the angels. He was only told of the bad they had done to the fallen, and none of the good they had done for the world. Part of him questioned this, but that part grew smaller and smaller as he grew older. He started believing what he was told about them. He chose to go to Earth because he had never seen it before. He wanted to see what it was like. What the humans were like. He didn't identify with anyone in Hell anyway, so he didn't have anyone to miss. His mission was simple- destroy the angels. He was also told to make it as painful as possible.

Anything Else You May Need To Know About Them:
There is a possibility he could repent and join the angels. He isn't entirely fallen, so he could still leave the fallen angels.

The Song That Sums Them Up:

Break Free || Of Mice & Men

Through every bone I break,
through every word you say,
you're just another enemy.
Right now, get away from me.
You wont, get the best of me.
I cant, stop or slow down,
I never have & I never will.

You won't break me
or silence this heartbeat,
your words they mean nothing.
I will break free
from walls that surround me,
I'm sick of this feeling,
I will break free from you.

You're just a cloud of smoke,
another empty soul,
I see it in your face,
you're just a snake in my way.
Right now, get away from me.
You wont, get the best of me.
I cant, stop or slow down, I never have & I never will.

You won't break me
or silence this heartbeat,
your words they mean nothing.
I will break free
from walls that surround me,
I'm sick of this feeling.

You wont break me,
I will break free.
You wont break me,
I will break free from you.

You wont hold me.
Right now, you wont & I cant,
You wont hold me,
You wont break me.
(Get away from me,
get the best of me.)
You wont hold me down.

You won't break me
or silence this heartbeat,
your words they mean nothing.
I will break free
from walls that surround me,
I'm sick of this feeling.

You wont break me,
I will break free.
You wont break me

So begins...

His feet pounded against the ground. He didn't have to push himself this hard. He was already a decent amount ahead of the others. But then again, he wasn't even pushing himself as hard as he could. This was his three-quarter pace, and the humans struggled to keep up with him, even when they were sprinting. He wasn't going to rein himself in anymore to make things easier for them.

It was no surprise when he crossed the finish line first. He was sufficiently out of breath to make the coach think that he had been pushing himself to his limit. "Good work, Killoran. I don't know what was in the water back in New York, but it's certainly made an excellent athlete out of you. We'd love to have you on the team." Zach grinned and nodded. "I'd love to be on it." The coach looked ecstatic and slapped him on the shoulder. "Go hit the showers. Training is on every day after school." Zach nodded and went into the changing rooms to change back into his normal clothes.

Twenty minutes later, he was dressed in a red and black checked shirt, black jeans and plain black Vans. What he really wanted to do was to stretch his wings and fly, but there was always a risk of him being spotted. And he doubted his ability to explain that. He was supposed to be tired, which ruled out going for a run. Besides, it was a tad bright outside, and he could feel a headache starting to come on.

An idea struck him, and he grinned. He'd seen the angels hanging out in a certain coffee shop, and he was pretty sure that one of the girls who worked there was an angel too. He headed for it, and grinned. Sure enough, one of the elder angels, his English teacher, was talking to a man- Hadriel. His eyes searched the shop, and saw one of them talking to the waitress. Perfect. He wasn't going to start anything- but if Hadriel, posing as his father, and the angel kicked off... Well, that was a different matter.

He walked over to the girl and slid into the booth, grinning at her and the waitress. "Hey. I'll take a spiced mocha, please, and something sweet. Whatever you recommend." He handed the menu to her and looked at the angel.

"You're Kaitlin, right? The name's Zach. Zach Killoran. I don't think we've been introduced. I just moved here earlier this week. You've been living here your whole life, right?" He grinned, knowing all too well that this wasn't true and wondering if she'd trip up over it.

Kaitlin looked over to Zach and gave a small smile then quickly turned her attention back to Joan. "I'm sorry, I'll swing by later and we can talk again," Kaitlin says politely to Joan before retaking her seat somewhat reluctant though she didn't show it. "Ah, yeah, kind of. I mean, I was born on the east coast, my family moved over here so my dad could get this job at the hospital. I don't really remember the move all that much, so really I have lived here all the time," Kaitlin says with a smile as she stirs her drink carefully.

She had watched the city of Riversdale ever since she heard of the possibility of the angels coming here and had noticed when Zach arrived. She had never thought anything of it but maybe there was a connection, or maybe just destiny... whatever that had to do with anything.

"And yes, I'm Kaitlin. Kaitlin Alvord. It's nice to meet you. How do you like Riversdale so far? Find anything fun or interesting quite yet? It's is a small town and all," Kaitlin says with a smile as she took a sip of her drink.

Kaitlin glances at her clock and notices the time with some surprise. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I'd love to talk but I have to get home soon. I live just a couple blocks away if you want to walk and talk," Kaitlin offers as she moves to stand away, seeing another waitress who had heard Zach's order bringing it over.

The fellow didn't seem so bad, rather nice in fact. He sent of the sort of vibe an angel did, but also something that a fallen angel had. It was as if he wasn't sure what he was making Kaitlin unsure as well. He could just be an angel in disguise, or maybe a fallen angel in disguise, trying to blend in like the angels were.

Kaitlin looked to the door, weighing her options as she adjusted her backpack again, feeling it tugging at her wing again for some reason. She needed a new backpack, one that was more so a messenger bag than a backpack. Without it, it would just be incredibly uncomfortable and make no sense at all.

Her phone rang again, seemingly more persistent. It was annoying and made Kaitlin want to answer it, but she withheld. She could not be rude to someone she just met, her father would understand as would her mother when her father told her mother if they got worried enough. It was cute and funny in their own little way, the concern that they shared for their daughter that wasn't really theirs.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I'd love to talk but I have to get home soon. I live just a couple blocks away if you want to walk and talk," She said apologetically. He stared at her for a second or two, a grin stealing his face. She didn't know what he was. She had no idea. Either that, or she was foolishly brave, thinking she could take him on alone. "Sure thing. It's nice to be able to have a decent conversation with someone. He stood, handing the server a ten dollar note. "Keep the change." He said with a grin.

He made idle conversation as they walked, sipping on their coffee. The spiced mocha was good, but in reality, he was watching his surroundings. Waiting for the perfect moment. He kept an eye on every shadow around him, making sure they didn't go anywhere that was too bright. The trees seem to close overhead as they walked, giving him plenty of ammunition. Perfect.

As soon as they were out of range of most of the humans, he stopped walking and turned to look at her. "You know, Kaitlin, I've never met anyone quite like you." He stepped as close to her as he could, looking down at her. A seductive smile took over his face. If he could fool her into thinking that he was going to kiss her or otherwise embrace her, she would be easy prey. "But I have heard stories..." He leaned in, his lips barely brushing her ears. As carefully as he could, he grasped the shadows and manipulated them into a tangible dagger.

"Stories of how you die." He whispered, before shoving both hands into her chest. Using both his unnatural speed and strength, he shoved her against the wall of the nearest house and pinned her there.. He smiled as he thought of how her blood would look spattered against the tan walls. He got the impression that there was more than just her around. All the better. Destroy them by allowing them to discover that one of their own was dead. He held the dagger to her throat, running his fingers against her skin.

"Any last words, Kaitlin?" He asked softly, looking into her eyes. He wanted to see the light leave them.

Kaitlin had been enjoying the walk really. It was friendly and the weather was nice. She would make it home just in time to talk with her parents before she'd go out again probably. The shade provided relief from the sun and the trees made things seem better for whatever reason. Zach was nice company it seemed. He didn't seem to be extremely dedicated to the conversation though.

When Zach got close, Kaitlin felt extremely nervous. She had never gotten close to any guy in such a manor, much less one that was taller and older and may or may not be a good person. She wasn't necessarily surprised about the comment of never meeting someone like her, most people rarely met people such as her, especially like her. She had tried to take a slight step back but didn't get far as he was already so close. He was so close as he spoke, it made her stomach flit with nerves. Kaitlin couldn't tell if they were good or bad, but she just met Zach and had something for someone else, how could she have any thoughts of Zach?

Being shoved into the wall behind her made Kaitlin disoriented as he head hit the hard brick of the house. She saw stars momentarily before looking up to see what was so cool at her neck as well as what was grazing her skin. Kaitlin could identify the nerves now, could the cold presence of shadows.

"You're a fallen angel, and shouldn't underestimate me. Don't believe all the stories you hear," Kaitlin says as she struggles momentarily, her backpack not caught on her wing and causing more than discomfort. She took a deep breath, feeling the blade cut only slightly into her neck before it wasn't there anymore, and Kaitlin was on the ground beside Zach. She looked up to see him standing over her. She had phased and fallen to the side. If she went into the house, she would risk being caught, at least here she wasn't about to die and hadn't revealed anything new.

Kaitlin scrambled to stand, in her rush taking off her backpack, and took off, her speed unnatural compared to that of humans. She ran towards the area where the shadows weren't, hoping her speed could get her out of the area before Zach would recover from her escaping his grasp. Kaitlin spotted a door just shaded by a large tree, a door she recognized.

Kaitlin recognized the house she had been pushed up against and prayed that Everett might be home. One of the other angels. "Everett, Everett please it's Kaitlin, there's... there's a fallen one out here. Your parents," Kaitlin began as she ran towards the door, wondering who would be faster. She hoped Everett would understand why she wasn't just coming in, would come out, would understand her calling about a fallen.
