Thalia nodded to what Zaldir said and just listened as him and the others began to speak. Thalia smiled when she heard Helena laugh at Cildur and Marek ask the same question. Once she heard it was decided they would stay there for the night she slowly began to walk out of the fort.

“I’ll be outside if anyone needs me,” she said before she left the fort. She walked a good ways away from the fort before she went over a small bump in the meadow and lay on the other side of it to be hidden. She stretched out on her stomach and stroked the petals of a flower.

“This is a nice place for a meadow...the flowers are beautiful too,” she mused out loud. ‘I wonder how Locien’s cut is…I should probably look at it, but the paste should have peeled off by now…’ she thought.

Locien shrugged as the others started to try and set up shelter in the throne area for the night as Thalia left to go see more of the meadows. He sighed as he walked out of the fort and walked to a good distance to where he could still see the fort. He silently thought about checking his wound but thought against it.

"The line of Orashin still lives....what does that mean?" He openly pondered to himself. He had to think of something. And then he had to talk to Thalia. He wanted to speak to her. He didn't know why but he guessed since they were close friends they'd figure out that clue.

In the meantime he'd just enjoy the view of the meadows.

Thalia fingers froze over the flower petals as she suddenly heard Locien's voice. She slowly rolled onto her back and pushed her self into a sitting position. She saw Locien was only a few feet away before the hill she had been hidden behind. Thalia ran her fingers through her hair to make sure it was neat and to be sure nothing was in it.

"Locien...I was just thinking about you, well your wound I should say," she said. She stood slowly and smoothed out her clothing. Next she walked up to Locien slowly. She looked down at him and smiled. "Umm, can I see your chest please?" she asked shyly. Thalia wanted to chastise herself for suddenly feeling shy, she had seen his chest before. It's must be because of the question the orb thing...why did it even have to speak to me... She pushed her thoughts away as she slid her hands into the hidden pockets of her skirt.

Locien turned to look at Thalia. He silently nodded as he removed his tunic and laid down. He kept staring at the sky and tried hard not to concentrate on the wound he had. "Tell me the damage okay?" He asked politely as he returned to his thoughts.

He thought to himself for a long while. After a while he looked at Thalia and sighed. "You think it's true? About the possibility of my family or some links still out there?" He asked whilst trying not to flinch from any sensitive spots she touched on the wound. Sighing he just remained quiet.

Thalia sat down next to his chest and saw the paste had all peeled off. The cut was healing it seemed, it seemed less irritated that the day before. She slid her hand into her pocket and took out a vial with red liquid. Thalia took the cork off of the vial and dabbed the tip of her finger with it. Next she placed the liquid on the cut with her finger, having to dab it repeatedly until she covered the whole cut thoroughly.

"Well, it looks less irritated, but it is still open, like when it scabs over you will be in the clear I would say, but I would need to check it even think," she said as she closed the vial and placed it back into her pocket. Thalia had lightening lightly go to her hand. She placed her hand over the cut to give the skin there a bit of a shock, but mostly a tingle. She didn't use too much lightening so it wouldn't hurt him. It would at most feel odd. She thought about his question and she smiled at him. Thalia kept her hand on his chest, but she stopped the lighting. She felt the liquid she dabbed on the cut warm up against her skin. It felt hot. Her eyes met his.

"Yes, I do think it is true. It seems possible for your family or some links still out there. You know Elves and Drows leaves their clans for one reason or another. You would just need to look for them as you travel or see if you hear anything about them maybe. It will be a difficult task to try to find them, but it is possible," she said. Once her hand felt the liquid cool she tenderly touched the skin around the cut.

"The paste worked, seems like only blood comes out of the cut. I'll make something for you to drink tomorrow to be sure it won't get or stay infected if it is. I'd rather not cause you pain and just wait a little. Also, next time let me deal with the demons as I could strike them dead...we could have avoid you getting hurt," she added. I wonder if that would overwork me if I killed one like that...I never tried that before, guess I should practice using more of my power to build more endurance or something. I guess it is a question about how strong my heart is if I do overwork it. Next, she laid down beside Locien on her stomach and began to trace his tattoos with her a fingertip.

Locien gave a light chuckle. "Until I know that you will not hurt yourself whilst fighting I'll think on it. It's my responsibility to look out for you and your siblings after all Thalia." Locien sighed, feeling her finger trace the Tattoos on his arm. Her touch felt strange, yet welcomed at the same time. The feeling of having her near made his heart race silently a small bit but he had to keep calm.

"Those were done mostly by a professional." He stated. "Though I hand picked the designs and such myself." He shrugged before he turned to look at her. In the angle she was at, she looked so beautiful and innocent. Like She was Neria reborn. He mentally slapped himself to try and not tell her that. He started to feel an attraction to her. He shouldn't though, or Cildur would possibly object.

"Well I wouldn't hurt myself if I use lightening and I would just need to watch out for the claws of demon if it got close enough, but I hope you know I can protect myself for the most part. You also need to be kept safe if you want to protect all of us. Also, my brother knows how to fight and the only one I would be worried about the most is Helena. We aren't completely unable to protect ourselves," Thalia paused as she traced the tattoos once more and smiled at him. "Well your artist did an excellent job and the designs suit you well," she said. She looked back at him and couldn't help, but smile. He seemed to make her just smile for no reason. She enjoyed his company quite a bit. How will I feel if he leaves us after we finish our mission?. Suddenly her smile disappeared as she remembered the orb's questions.

"I've never met an orb before, but I think one may be enough if they all ask such random questions..." she murmured, mostly talking to herself. Her eyes had wandered off as the though entered her mind, but she quickly looked back at Locien when she realized she had spaced out for a second there. She quickly thought of something to ask him or say. Thalia didn't need him thinking about the orb's question now.

"You have a legendary ancestor, something to be be proud of you could say, but it could be a bad thing if you think you have to live up to their name. Though, I really want to know what magic was used to make it possible for him to be alive through a statue...I could try to bring my parents back that way, even if it is for a short time," she stated before she allowed herself to space out once again. A soft sigh escaped her lips.

"Technically that orb is the light a certain fairy has. It can be any color at any given time if it wants." Locien said as he relaxed. "And the statue is a trick from beyond the grave. No spell can truly bring back the dead." He sighed as well, trying to not openly express what he's feeling at that moment.

He looked at her again and observed the look of her face. "Well, I'm lucky to have a friend like you. Maybe one day, I'll meet a girl who doesn't mind who or what I am, just like you, and gain the courage to court her." He said out of sheer thought and improvisation.

"Yes, technically...and a trick is better than nothing," she said. She really couldn't reply to anything else he said. Thalia looked down at a flower under her and suppressed a sigh. Well obviously he does not have a crush on me, maybe I do have a little one on him...He must just view me as a friend if he wants a girl just like me, but not me. He must not like me in that way, but I shouldn't even be thinking about relationships at a time like this...he could die on this journey... She pushed her thoughts away as they were getting darker. Thalia looked up at Locien and smiled.

"The courage to fight, but not to court. I think a girl just like me, would need to court you since you seem to be a bit on the shy side," she said playfully, using the words "a girl just like me" intentionally. Thalia then plucked a flower and tucked it behind one of Locien ears.

Locien looked at Thalia again when she stuck a flower behind one of his ears. He smiled at her and gave a small chuckle. "Shy? Me? I guess that is a proper way of putting it." He stated whilst rubbing his hair. "I mean, I spend my life forging stuff and then what happens?" He asked with a soft smile.

He knew what she was meaning though, and he could tell from her eyes she did have some form of attachment to her. She was just as afraid of trying to make it work as she did. He sighed a heavy sigh, as he noticed several other colored orbs of light, other fairies, flying about them, possibly playing a game of tag with each other, oblivious to the two people sitting in one particular spot.

He simply watched with a small smile on his face.

Thalia smiled back before she laid back down fulling on the ground. She placed her arms under her head. She looked at the orbs, well fairies, above them. Thalia then looked at Locien and placed her hands over his tattoo. "Quite a bit of fairies in this area, must be very special. Have you seen fairies before today?" she asked. Next she closed her eyes and moved closer to Locien until their arms touched. She rested her forehead against his shoulder. "I wonder what your Foster Father is doing besides being nosy," she murmured as she began to twist the ring on her finger.

Locien stifled a chuckle. "No I don't think Foster Father is just being nosy. He's possibly helping Kreanor's monarch organize all the alliances your Brother Makes. But I think he knows of our ventures a small bit." He stated as he slightly gave her a pat on the shoulder. "I'm sure he has many questions and updates on our quest as well, and what everything else in between has gotten us so far."

He looked at the playful fairies. "I may have seen one or two when I was a kid trying to catch fireflies. They don't like to be confused for them." He chuckled a bit at his small joke as he turned to look at Thalia on his shoulder. He felt sorely tempted to hug her closer to him, or to even steal a kiss off her forehead. But any of those things he felt, he shouldn't do. For If Cildur found out about it, what lectures would he give, what accidental prejudices would turn up? How far would Thalia's own brother go to warn him to either stay away from her or not to break her heart?

So many unknowns. Little did both realize Cildur was silently observing them from a window of the fort.

"They are forming a close bond." He observed, "maybe if Locien is some sort of Noble I'd permit it..maybe."

"Cildur Whatever is forged between them let it happen." came a voice from his Telepathy ring.

"I'm sure you knew something like this would happen." Cildur stated.

"To be Fair, I thought Helena would try and go for him" Ildhrenion stated to him. "Where are you going Next?"

"The mountains I believe, to see the Dwarves."

"Well, I believe Ildhrenion would keep up to date with our ventures as he'd want to make sure we are all safe. Also, I think anyone would be upset if they were caught because they were mistaken for something else. Yeah, I mostly played with my darts and tried to make poisons when I was little. I was known for almost hitting people or animals with darts when I was learning. Everyone would stay away when I decided to practice, even my guard, but he always knew when I stopped and went off on my own as he'd find me. Also I accidentally poisoned myself a few times too, my Aunt had to make the antidote. I always got scowled after by her once she knew I wasn't going to die," she said. She slowly turned onto her side and hugged Locien's arm. A soft yawn escaped her lips and suddenly Thalia fell asleep. She had been tired since she didn't sleep so well the night before. She had been in a light sleep because of the lightening.

Helena watched as Cildur looked out the window and rolled her eyes. She assumed her was watching Thalia and Locien, who seemed to have formed some type of bond. Helena just recently started paying attention to it. She really just noticed because she had been busy reading. Helena wasn't sure what to think about it yet, but she decided not to worry about it as they had bigger problems. She stood and walked behind Cildur. She placed a hand on his shoulder and gripped it.

"Stop watching the love birds," she teased before she paused to close the curtains of the window he was looking out of, "Let them be for now. It's really not something to worry about at the moment. You can worry about it or protest after we have our kingdom back. It won't be the end of the world if they get together. It's not like Thalia is the heir to our kingdom."

"Maybe you're right sister." Cildur stated as he sighed. "I'll have to worry when a woman comes to court me however."

---

Locien smiled softly at Thalia as she slept and he finally couldn't help himself any longer. He moved his head ever so slightly and leaned towards her and gave a small kiss on her forehead. "Sleep well." He said softly as he decided to sleep as well. He knew he couldn't do anything more unless he knew for sure his feelings of fear were unfounded.

----

Several hours later the others began to prepare to head further north to the nearest mountain range. It was there they would find one of the eight known dwarven cities. And each city had a King ruling each city. But sometimes the dwarf kings can be a bit too greedy.

"Ulp." Marek said nervously looking at the mountain range. "I hate mountains....there's easily a chance for there to be dragons up there too."

“Of course I am right and yes, we will need to worry about who decides to court you,” Helena said as she patted his head before she left back to her place. She opened her book again and read.

---

When Marek spoke was when Thalia began to wake up. She groaned softly and rubbed them. Then she snuggled into Locien. She stopped when she realized what she was doing. Thalia slowly sat up and ran her fingers through her hair. She placed her hand on Locien’s cheek and her thumb brushed over his bottom lip. What am I doing? A sigh escaped her lips as she stopped her thumb's movements.

“Wake up Locien, we should be leaving soon. I decided to wake up as I was unsure if you need to get ready for the journey up the mountain,” she said. Thalia slowly leaned down and hugged him tightly. “Get up,” she said softly before she stood. She stretched out slowly and smoothed out her clothes.

Locien groaned as he got up and sat up as well. He sighed as he cracked his neck, "Right, let's get going." He stated.

----

The hours were long during the long trek to the mountain ranges of the north. It was a clear sunny day with several clouds. Marek looked around with slight nerves. "Witches and Dragons also live in these mountains." Marek stated. "I don't want to end up crossing A large Lizard's territory."

"Dragons are the least of my worries. Demons might be prowling up there already, or an Orc tribe under this Enemy's sway. What's his name anyhow?" Cildur asked.

"Not telling unless we see the dude face to face." Locien stated, but he knew only two others know. Ildhrenion and one very Old Cantankerous Dwarf.

Thalia looked at Marek and smiled. "Marek, relax, freak out when we see a witch or what you seem to fear most, a dragon. Also I agree, we should be more worried about demons or and Orcs," she said before she looked at Locien. I wonder why Locien won't say his name, I wonder if he will tell me the enemy's name... Thalia stretched her legs out as they quickly walked. Hours more when they came to a rest stop, she continued to walk a little ahead. Then she sat atop a rock at the edge of the mountain.

Everyone stopped and sat at the mountain's foot, Locien decided to sit down and examine the mountain's rocks to see if there was any metals. He didn't know why but maybe it was his blacksmith instinct to want to find Ore.

Marek felt more nervous then ever as he kept his eyes on the skies. Locien rolled his eyes and observed Thalia sitting on a rock observing the trail ahead as he chuckled. "Playing lookout are we?" He asked her with a small smile on his face. Cildur decided to sit down in a rock as well, but he couldn't help but think he was watching.

Thalia laughed softly and looked back at Locien. She returned his smile. “I guess you could say that too, but I just wanted to look around too,” Thalia said. She stood and slowly walked up to Locien. She grabbed his hand and led him to the edge she had sat on. She glanced down at all of the trees and other things below. “Everything looks so small and peaceful from here and our path up ahead looks clear,” she told him. She let go of Locien’s hand when she realized she was still holding it. A blush turned her cheeks a light pink. She reached her hands up to the sky and rolled her shoulders back slowly to distract from her blush. "How are your legs?" she asked.

"Wish we had horses." Locien stated with a small smirk in answer to Thalia's Question. He looked ahead towards the path too and almost thought he caught a small whiff of either steam or some kind of hot air. Usually that meant they were getting close to a dwarf City, or a dragon's territory. That would slightly be a problem depending on the latter's disposition. And there's no knowing if Orcs or demons were waiting for them.

"Anyway, how are your legs- I mean your feet. I mean..." Locien actually started to fumble with his words for the first time and his eyes slightly widened and for the first time, it looked like his face turned a lot darker in a blushing sense. "Dragon's Breath..."
