Le Cirque Des Morts-Vivants (or The Circus of The Living Dead): A haughty madhouse established by Madame Merciless in 1880. It has traveled up and down the unruly West, from Aberdeen, South Dakota to Dallas, Texas, between the Colorado and the Mississippi, gaining fame and notoriety for its neverending list of the weird and wonderful. The dark, daring and rather morbid freak show has stopped once again, now in Abiline Kansas, to show off it's exclusive line of colourful carnies, hoping to gather a larger reputation and a few more acts along the way in preparation for their big jump across the river to Chicago.

Performances are never dull; Le Cirque offers fire-breathers, snake-eaters, self-mutilators, and so much more. While shownight is often hectic, order is well kept by Madame Malice through two tools: The life-prolonging toxin she administers to the performers and William DuChamp, the friend and de-facto boss of all Le Cirque's freaks. He handles most of the daily coordination of Madame Merciless' staff and maintains order and peace through his reputation as reasonable and selfless (though the LeMatt revolver he carries doesn't hurt).

The unwitting audience is unaware of the circus's dark secret: Its performers are literally the living dead. Once their corpses are found, the Circus' mysterious anonymous affiliate 'The Bringer' resurrects the bodies and souls of the once dead. Madame Merciless has ensured to make each performer seem as human as possible, they all eat, sleep and breath, as well as indulge in god-knows what with god-knows who. Their only limitations are the Circus' rules and their need for repeating dosages of Madame's specially-made toxin to keep them from reverting to the rotting corpses they once were.

6:00am, a time when many were awaking from their beds, wiping the sleep from their eyes to go about their daily routines - but not Le Cirque, oh no, the freaks had been up for hours, helpers setting up the bigtop and other attractions, vendors stocking their wares at their stalls, performers practicing for tonight's show. You see, The Circus never truly sleeps, nobody's ever truly resting, it's much too busy for that. 6:00am, on the dot. Madame Merciless strode forth from her tent, a wide grin taking up her face as she skipped her way toward the now fully-constructed big-top.

"Good morning, my freaks!~" the woman's light, bouncy voice travelled through the empty insides of the tent as she made way into the center of the ring, her eyes scanning around at the few faces gathered upon her usual morning roll call. She'd pause ahead of the group, her grin falling to a content yet mischievous smile as she mentally listed all present acts, nodding to each in turn. Had any been late or missing, she'd also make note to 'have a word' with them, as she often did with those in particular who found it common practice to disobey her.

Once done registering each face she saw with the names upon her mental list, she'd clear her throat; "Now now, calm yourselves" she chuckled, hushing any chatter that may have broken out whilst she was doing her mental preparations, "Today is quite important. Our first show in Abilene - one step closer to Chicago." Madame seemed to swoon at the very mention of Chicago as the word rolled across her tongue, "And so!" she'd quickly snapped back to her usual bossy nature, "I expected you all to work your hardest these next few days, to show your full potential!" a nod accompanied her words, and with a final grin she'd bow, "Back to practice" then leaving the performers and heading out of the big-top, leading them through to the practice yard and following through to an off-set, enclosed section of the yard where her freshly-picked corpses lie, all in a neat row, awaiting the awakening sting of her toxin.

Note: If your character is new to the circus (i.e, one of the "freshly picked corpses") you will be resurrected in my next post, so for now you will be skipped. The current corpses belong to The Animal Man and The Twisted Child. Please let me know if your character is new so that I know whom to wait for and whom to skip.

William emerged from the same tent, a polite amount of time after Madame Merciless. He dressed himself fully-hat with a wide brim, coat that reached halfway down his calfs, button up white shirt, boots that jangled, some new-fangled invention that riveted rough coveralls together with copper studs called "blue jeans"-concerned rightfully that walking out of a lady's sleeping space wearing anything less would be the start of rumors he had no wish to inspire.
William's coat made no effort to cover the holster that kept a revolver on his hip. Of all of his duties in Le Cirque, arbitrator was his least favorite. He hadn't yet ever had cause to employ his trusted sidearm against any of his fellow freaks, but it wasn't uncommon for every other town the circus had seen in its two years to have some drunk, holy roller, or thief to give trouble to its guests or staff. It was unfortunate (William was no fan of conflict), but he wouldn't have deputized anyone else. They were busy enough practicing or keeping their boss happy without doing rounds every night looking for vagabonds.

William followed Madame Merciless after a fashion, approaching the unofficial morning conglomerate of performers. "Good mornin' everyone," he offered after the big boss left. He tucked his thumbs into his belt and lowered his shoulders, being the usual easy-going, easy-to-approach middle manager that kept everyone happy and the circus running smoothly. "Sorry I'm a bit late. As you all know I'd normally have my sleeves rolled up and I'd be erecting tents and preparing for our big show along side you. Unfortunately I'm going to be even later as Madame Merciless has newbloods for the show and she's asked for a hand with reintroducing them to the living, breathing world. Keep working and I'll be back as soon as possible to pick up the slack. Is everything going alright so far?" He turned his head, looking east, where the sun would break in another fifteen minutes. He didn't expect anyone to have any issues to report, but he waited long enough to field any complaints or concerns before turning back and nodding to his compatriots. "Best not to keep the Madame waitin'."
William excused himself from the group and walked to his own private tent. He paused to regard the Stars and Bars hanging in full view of the tent flaps before dropping his coat, grabbing a bundle of rope, and a rudimentary set of handcuffs. He unbuttoned and rolled his sleeves up as he walked to the waiting Madame Merciless. He didn't look directly at the bodies. "Alright. So how're we doing this?"

High up above the practice area hung a set of trapezes, suspended by wires attached to the ceiling. They were not nearly as high as they would be during a performance, but they were high enough that only the trapeze artists would go on them. Leila Brigmore was relaxing in her usual spot, on a trapeze with her arms and legs swinging down over the other performers as she laid down on her back. The long black dress she was wearing dangled over the metal bar of the trapeze as well. She was not paying much attention the Madame or William as they spoke. She did not care in the slightest. It was only when William mentioned something along the lines of newbloods did it perk her interest. She hopped down off of the trapeze and landed perfectly on her feet right next to her boss.

“Newbloods? What are they like? Do you know them, Willy? Tell us,” Leila asked loudly with a grin, her long brown curls bouncing on her thin shoulders as she spoke. The thought of the circus gaining more people was exciting to think about. She had already spent enough time with the current circus performers and the idea of playing with new meat made her want to scream with joy, which she was practically already doing.

She wanted to meet these newbloods as soon as possible. Practises were too boring when there was no one that she could play with. And she was itching for a little fun.

With a content huff, Madame began to slowly pace the area, her eyes travelling up and down the length of each corpse, each of which she had spent adequate time carefully planning for. The woman's dark blue eyes shot up to the entrance when she heard footsteps draw near, easing up some when she realised it were William who'd come to aid her and not an unauthorised presence which she'd likely have to waste her time disposing of - "Ah! Willy~ Do come forth!" she grinned like a young child, stepping aside to lead way to the three bodies laid out side-by-side on small wooden beds only a few inches apart, "This will be our shapeshifter" she pointed to the nearest body, "And those two.." she wavered her hand, trailing off.
"Those two what?" William had trouble (as he often did) matching her exuberance. He looked at the pair she gestured to. "...barely skeletons?" He guessed with a shrug. "Which one are we doing first?"
"Those two we will do last" she repeated in a more stern tone, nodding toward the other corpses, "They won't need any restraint" she looked back to the soon-to-be shapeshifter's corpse and rolled her shoulders, "So. Shall we start?"
"I suppose. Sooner we get this over with." William walked over to the indicated body. "Can I just tie him down to the wood or do you really think the cuffs will be needed, too?" He set them on the ground, then started to unspool his rope. "Those cuffs aren't awfully comfortable." He tossed an end of his rope over the body. "I'd rather use them as little as possible. It's nightmarish enough coming back into this world frothing at the mouth with only cheap rope scratching your new flesh without your wrists having your new life squeezed out of them."
She chuckled softly at William's comment and nodded, "Rope should be fine" she stared down at the body, stepping aside to allow William the space he needed, "Those two may need the cuffs, though" she pointed, "Cuff them to each other, they'll cancel out each others abilities."
"Each other's abilities?" He questioned. "What? Is one a democrat and the other libertariain?" He ran the rope around the bed, across the corpse's chest, stomach, thighs, and shins, before tying a complicated knot under his feet where it couldn't be undone. "I'll cuff them when there's enough wrist to actually cuff." He studied his work for a moment, then gave a satisfied nod. "He's not going anywhere."
"Close, but no. She" Madame pointed to the middle corpse, "Will be the daughter of light, the gracious lady whom light follows her every step. And he," her pointed finger edged over to the last body, "Will be the son of darkness, a haunting, impeding shadow whom stalks the girl and hopes to take her down." her voice upheld the tone she usually had when introducing an act. William's brows came together with concern. "...stalks? Like, Jack the Ripper? You didn't exhume a murderer and his victim, did you? Because I've overlooked a lot working for you, but that's a little extreme." He stood and crossed his arms, clearly misunderstanding her theatrics, but Madame shook her head, though the idea clearly amused her, "No no, not murder. Just a little game of cat and mouse." she'd chuckle again reaching down to pluck at the ropes to check their strength and giving a nod once satisfied. William shook his head, now more convinced that he was about to do something awful. "No. I'm not going to bring someone back from the dead just to sick a murderer on them for the entertainment of some drunks!"
She looked up upon hearing his word, rolling her eyes, "Oh hush, I was joking. They won't actually kill each other. Just chase each other around and make a pretty light show for the audience."
"...as a performance, you mean? Like a show. Not actually going for anyone's throat in the dark." William looked at her seriously, wanting a full, verbal agreement that he wasn't going to be an accessory to murder before continuing. "Mhm" her agreement was too sudden, too contempt - she didn't seem to give much of a care at the thought of murder within the circus,"I thought perhaps a little lightshow would appeal to the more.. artistic folk" she couldn't think of a word for 'those who dislike gore' besides pussies.
"I..." William sighed. He'd been prepared to yell at her. He looked down to hide the shade of embarrassment that colour his face. "Sorry. Right." Of course Madame Merciless wouldn't do that. "...right." He turned back to the body. "So, somethin' for the kids, right? Good. I'm glad. I'm sure there's a fine number of little tykes who'd love a late-night lights show."
She nodded. "Yes. For the children" her tone was almost sarcastic, but she went along with it just to keep William from dragging out the conversation any longer - "Anyway. We need to get this session underway." she'd clear her throat, retrieving the vial of toxin from her inner pocket and heading over to the strapped down body. William waited patiently, if uncomfortably, cracking his knuckles while standing over the body. He never enjoyed this. It always made him feel guilty and dirty. He thanked God she hasn't asked him to help actually retrieve the bodies. "Yes. We need to get this underway." Quickly, before I'd throw up if I still could. "Not that I'm in a rush to get away from you, of course," he joked. "Just promised the rest of the circus I'd be back in time to help set up."Madame chuckled, she could sense the unease in her partner's tone, she knew he'd never enjoyed the process of resurrecting new acts, but it had to be done. She moved around to the top of the table, standing just above where the head was positioned, the only part of the body that wasn't completely bound, and uncorked the vial, a strong waft of a sweet yet sickening smell filled the air, one which was more than familiar to William and herself. "Now, I'm not sure exactly how this might end up, but chances are he may get stuck in his animal form, so.." her voice trailed off, and without further adieu she tilted the vial horizontally and tapped a few small drops into the corpses open mouth."May?" He questioned. "How big is the risk?" But it was too late; the mysterious liquid was already poured. "...what kind'a animal does he turn into? Is my rope going to be effective?" He hesitated to hold the body down. When it was just people he didn't have a problem, but... well, she's not going to hold it down, he thought. My fault for agreeing to this. "...alright...so how long until something happens?" He wish he had a metric; he didn't know if age or size or gender affected the process. All of that was
calculated by Madame Malice."Oh, nothing too dangerous" she wavered her hand, offering the vial over to William, he looked rather wary - a few drops of toxin would perk him right up, "Anything I could find, really. Dogs, coyote, fox.." she tapped her chin, trying to think of the list of animals she'd 'experimented' with, "I think perhaps the biggest animal I'd found was a wolf" a wide grin spread across her devilish lips at that as she looked down at the body, which had already started to reform into a more alive looking human, "This one is only a few years gone, so it should be pretty fast. Those two however.. well, by the state of 'em I'd say a couple minutes, they've been rotten for a while" no-one knew how Madame found all the information she did on the bodies she'd find, it was a mystery to even William, they'd all just assume that she'd searched through their personal belongings for clues, or looked on their tombstone, either way it always seems like Madame knew exactly who she was dealing with when they finally awoke. "Eeyup," William mumbled. He patted his chest until he remembered he'd left his coat in his tent. His cigarettes were in it and dealing with the dead made him mighty anxious for one. "You want to get started on them, too? Or do you want to handle this one at a time?"
"You don't have to stay and watch" she chuckled, almost enjoying the slight panic she saw as she watched William search for his cigarettes, the hand that held the toxin retreating so that she could plug the top again with the cork, "Probably best to wait until he's done" she gestured toward the now clearly distinguishable male who began convulsing, though he wasn't given much space to thrash about due to the tight ropes which held him down. William had been careful to place the rope over his chest and legs in such a way as to effectively restrain him but tried not to cover his arms so the man didn't get ropeburn during his initial thrashing. "...you picked English-speaking bodies, right? Mon espanol est tres mal." He didn't even say that in the right language. His jokes ended when he finally looked at the forming human. "...eh...'ello, pal," he offered weakly, unsure of whether he was even heard or not. "You said this'n'from not too long ago? So he'll speak English correctly. Not some fancy ye-olde speak, right?"
"He'll speak english just as well as you, my dear" she grinned, mocking William slightly.
"Well, that ain't too well. 'least that's what the tinhorns back east would say."
"Precisely" she smirked, peering down at the 'man' as his convulsing seemed to seize for now, leaving him with a foam filled mouth and a manner of other side-effects of having a fit - he'd likely had a headache, and the animal DNA surging through him would probably cause him quite a deal of pain as his body tried to reject its new fate. Madame simply grinned, clasping her hands in excitement as she watched the first of her new creations show its first signs of life. She wiped the foam away from the man's mouth and peered down to his barely opened eyes, "Hi there!~" she cooed.
William grimaced; as much as he liked Madame Malice, her face wasn't the first thing he'd want to see coming back to this world. "G'morning, sir."he offered from behind her. "I'll untie you in a moment, but there's some due explanation as to why you're among the living again."
Madame looked up to William, "Oh, don't untie him just yet, I don't think he's done" she nodded down to the man who was no doubt struggling against the ropes, writhing in pain and confusion. Madame left the man and made her way over to the two other 'bodies', circling around their beds at first before taking of the toxin and pouring a few drops each into their mouths, "Cuffs, please" she called over to William, watching as the toxin slowly began to build up muscle and flesh of the barely-bone siblings she'd dug up. William nodded and picked the cuffs up. He walked around the writhing man to present them. She was familiar no doubt with how they worked. "You'll get that one?" he asked before stooping to cuff what he assumed to be the male's body. She nodded, taking the other cuff and tightening it around the newly re-formed female's wrist, securing the siblings together. It was unlikely that they'd cause much harm or disturbance, but Madame had learnt a lot throughout her years of experimental resurrection, and the phrase "Better safe than sorry" was one she used often when it came to bringing in new acts.

"You have your eye on them? I'll welcome the werewolf back."

Madame nodded to William before then turning and heading to the further end of the small closed off section to where she'd kept one more body, a secret from William - she knew he was never fond of the gruesome stuff, and this act was likely to be as gruesome as it gets; a ragdoll, bag of bones, pin-cushion, this act would not be for all those of weak heart and even weaker stomach, Madame made sure of that. With a few drops of toxin into the corpses mouth, Madame left again, returning to the others as she kept a sharp eye and ear out for each newblood's awakening, forcing a bright and wide smile onto her face.

Trenton felt his body burning and his skin ripping as he was pulled back from the other side of death. Suddenly his eyes flew open and a wave of terror flooded over him. He twitched and writhed, his mouth opening and closing making a sickening cracking sound.
His skin tore and what was underneath wasn't all together human it was fur. He tried to yell but nothing came out, in fact he wasn't even breathing, had he forgotten how to breath?
Trent looked around wildly, searching for someone, anyone. When his eyes landed on a man who was coming to stand over him. Trenton tried to speak but again, as before, nothing came out.
Suddenly in a rush of hot air his lunges filled and a loud growl erupted from deep inside Trenton's chest.
He gasp for the air, almost drinking it in.
As he breathed he began to calm down, soon enough sound returned to him and he stared at the man and woman who had spoken to him.
The first words to leave his lips were broken and gruff from not using his vocal cords for a while; "WA-T-HUR!"
It almost sounded like a plea of a dying man, well it sure felt like he was dying.

Luna came back much smoother then the man tied down at the other end.
Her eyes opened, she looked around, and breathed in deeply. She moved her lips to speak but nothing came out, she had forgotten less how to breath and more how to speak. Not hearing any sound was the scariest part, she began to toss and turn trying to creat some sort of noise, nothing. Finally a loud shriek burst from her lips. She shot straight up to a sitting position and then fell right back as her body began to twist and turn in all manner of inhuman ways. Her bones poped and cracked as she moved until finally she was twisting without any sound at all, then she lay scilent looking up at the sky breathing deeply.

The siblings were first, simply bones. Fragile, slightly burn, two-century-old bones from a darker time than the years they were being introduced to as the reviving process began. The immense feelings of pain and memories of being burned alive were fresh on their reforming minds, fresh on their voices the moment they had lungs and a voice box. Their first screams of pain were odd, more alike to a beast's shrieks of death with a slight rasp. Their nerves had formed first, giving terrible shocks to the two siblings as they couldn't see, taste, smell, or hardly steady their breathing until other vital parts of their bodies formed. Katheline and Kane writhed and shook upon their bodies nearly completely forming, appearing as they had moments before they had actually died... their flesh mainly a burnt and bloody red, though segments were charred black and they had no hair. Then their flesh began repairing, knitting back together, removing itself of all burns and scars as the drops of mysterious toxin did their work.

Kane calmed himself first, drawing ragged breaths and searching the area with his new eyes, wondering how he was still alive and in such a... strange, unknown place all of the sudden. His bones ached, a pain a-like to the bone-growth pains you would get as you began to grow. But most of the pain began to fade, except for in his back and gums, where the pain from the rest of his body seemed to gather and began to multiply.

Katheline had not been so contained, due to the fact that she had been sobbing the moment her tear ducts worked. Her weak voice, pained cries, and inaudible mutterings mashed into a sound of sorrow and anguish, but also a slight undertone of anger. The pain began to fade and refocus on her back and in her gums, as it had within Kane, but before she could realize this in her frantic state, a hot energy appeared to build within the deepest nook of her body and spread rapidly. She began to quake and writhe as a foam seeped from between her lips. Her light green eyes began to glow with an unmistakable light which seemed to then seep into her pale blonde hair.

A somewhat similar thing happened to her twin, similar, but so different at the same time. Kane began to writhe, clawing at the bed below him as his warm brown eyes seemed to become dark, endless pits and his short, brown hair darkened into a deep black. Shadows seemed to settle over him as light came from within his sister, whom he'd only just noticed was there and was now gripping her hand with his own. A foam roiled up from his throat and he twisted about, once again unable to breathe as a different process took shape.

Uncomfortable, painful protrusions began forming on the sibling's backs, first merely mounds under the skin. Then, the skin ripped to make way for a pair of delicate, still-forming structures awkwardly bent by the writhing on their backs. The canine teeth of each sibling, visible due to the silent screaming of each, became longer and sharper in appearance. The lights faded from Katheline, leaving her eyes silvery and her hair white while the shadows seeped more thoroughly into Kane, giving him a sort of aura but leaving his eyes to be the same silver as Katheline's. The only difference was the dark ring around his irises. And by the time this happened, the structures on the backs of each young adult had rapidly grown and took the unmistakable shapes of wings. Not the feathered bird wings of any scripture book angel, but the batty, scaled wings one might imagine on demons or dragons. Katheline's were a sparkling, silver-white while Kane's were a glittering, deep charcoal black.

Neither of the siblings realized these changes that took place, only the pain they thought would never end and the feeling of clutching eachother's hands. A final shudder exited both, leaving them limp and gasping for air with their fresh lungs while their new eyes scanned the premises. A muttering left Katheline's lips, finally clear as the process finished, and with it came a sobbing breath as she uttered the words she's been unable to the moment the fire claimed her and her brother's lives.

"You'll all burn in hell."

It was late, late by about two-hundred years and meant for the Puritans who had cheered as they were tied to the stakes. But they were on their lips as she died, and so they were the first words she spoke in her new life. Silence engulfed the twins, who's senses picked up the presence of more than just the one that stood watching them, and the silence left them to gain breathe and composure they'd lost centuries ago. Finally, Kane spoke, his voice new and nearly unused except for that hint of breathlessness.

"Where are we? How are we alive?"

William jumped, then closed his eyes and removed his hand from his revolver. Sudden screams of anguish had that affect on him. It reminded him of his life before this, and that was an uncomfortable sensation. Not nearly suddenly being reformed and the sensation of whatever killed the trio playing over again, but he pushed that thought out of his head and didn't open his eyes until the screaming stopped. He tried to force a smile as he stood over the three undead, strapped to their beds (and in the twins' case handcuffed together). "Good morning, folks." He offered simply. "And welcome to Le Cirque. My name is William DuChamp." He waved, trying to gather all of their attentions at once. "That lady there is your new boss, Madame Merciless. Now there's probably a whole mess of questions you have. To answer many of them as simply and quickly as I can: Yes you died. You aren't dead anymore. By the wonders of mad science or witchcraft or whatever slapjaw your local customs call voodoo, you've been given a new lease on unlife. Now, I'll untie all of you in due course, but I want you to promise me that you're going to be rational folks when I do. This is understandably traumatizing but it'll go by much more smoothly if you take a deep, pointless breath and listen to Madame."

Katheline closed and opened her eyes while Kane squeezed her hand reassuringly, the young woman more shaken than the both of them. Dying had been horrible but that... that had just been raw, soul-shaking pain. Like dying all over again but ten times more painful. Katheline looked around, tear trails drying on her cheeks as she looked around with clearer-seeying eyes. She found the man with the odd accent, her brows lightly furrowing before she dropped her head back as she put a weak but amused small on her own lips, "Oh, please. I'm always rational."

What sounded like a chuckle came from Kane, who was more squinting than opening his eyes. He knew his sister wasn't always rational, but if she could joke she was fine. Besides, if he was feeling as weak as he was then he was sure she was no better at the moment. Neither of them had any idea what was happening, but they were sure as hell curious enough to wait patiently for answers.

Madame was giddy as she heard the cries and screams of her new acts, finally awakening from the dead. Her sharp-ear caught the distant crackling and snapping of the future contortionists bones as she awoke and figured it was time to go and bring her into joining the rest of the group. As William gave his short speech, Madame quickly hurried off to retrieve the girl, mumbling a quick, "Come with me, dear. All will be explained soon" to get the confused soul to follow her through to the other portion of the tent where the other newbloods lie, strapped to their tables, all now fully resurrected, one of the twins even spoke - "Ah! Excellent! I was worried your vocal chords may be a lil' rusty after all those years" Madame released the hold she had on the contortionist girl and stepped closer to the twins, squinting her eyes and bending and the waist to inspect them, checking for any damage the years may have done to their bodies that the toxin may have missed clearing up.

"Anyway" Madame stood up straight, and stepped back to the center of the room, clearing her throat as she then addressed the newbloods, "I'm sure my lovely second-in-command has given you a brief explanation of the who, what and how, so I'll just move on to the why" she grinned as she spoke, her eyes scanning delicately across each new act wondering how much excitement and awe they could each bring to Le Cirque, and of course also how much more money they could bring in with fresh talent, "I personally have dug each of you up from your graves and enabled you life and a few abilities in order to aid me here at Le Cirque. Your abilities mean you will each have your own act and role to play during the show, I'm kind so I will let you decide on what you will do for your segment, but if you need any help, I'm sure Mr. DuChamp here will be happy to help come up with some ideas." her tone sounded almost uniform and doubled with the way she paced the walkway between each table, it wasn't hard to tell that she was used to being the boss of things. Once finished with the explanation, she'd wait a moment for any raised hands or questions to be asked before continuing on, now starting to address each individual directly, "You!" she pointed to the male, still bound by rope to the table, "I've mixed in a few samples of animal DNA within your dose of toxin, meaning you will be able to alter your form to resemble whichever animals I pair you with. Be warned, it will hurt. A lot." her pointed finger swept across the room, landing on the nearest twin, the male, "You. The Son Of Darkness. Like the name? I thought of it myself" she gave a proud little giggle before continuing, "Your ability allows you to control darkness. You can melt into the shadows, bring darkness where-ever you go." her eyes landed on the female beside him, "And you. Your ability counteracts your brother's. You control the light, you could literally blind people with your beauty." another chuckle came from Madame's lips, she was obviously having fun. Last but not least, her pointed index finger landed on the final act, the secret corpse that Madame had kept hidden from William up until now, "And this little lady is the grossest of them yet. I know you don't like the guts and gore William but I couldn't resist. This one is able to contort her body into all sorts of shapes and sizes, almost as if she were made of rubber!" Madame chimed, her smile beaming bright, hoping to distract William with her happiest so that she could avoid a lecture from him, but she knew that was likely impossible. "Right. Now. I'm sure you're all very curious to try out your new powers, so I'll have William untie you all and then we'll head out to the practice yard. Sound good?" the tone Madame used and the way in which she explained things was much too casual for the situation at hand, but in her mind it seemed perfectly rational, and she didn't understand why people were always so freaked out once she brought them back, you'd have thought anybody want to be alive again, given a second chance in life and given cool new powers on top of that, right?

Note: I apologise for disappearing. Again. I understand if you're mad or upset. Please take any inquiries or questions to PMs, as I'd like to keep OOC clean. Luna stood wobbly and slowly walked with the woman that had just brought her back to life. when the woman released her Luna plopped to the ground and just sat there, looking like a rag doll as the woman spoke. When she told everyone to come to the practice yard Luna slowly got to her feet and walked behind her, her bones in her legs still cracking and popping every now and then. As she walked she saw eyes peeking out of what she guessed were living quarters. As she looked longer at them they seemed to zoom in on all of them and then finally landed on her, Luna felt her stomach turn and suddenly was on all fours dry heaving. She sucked in air through her teeth and sat back on her knees trying to calm herself. She didn't like this feeling, she felt empty and hollow. It was almost scary. As she calmed herself she looked up and saw that the eyes were gone, maybe she had been imagining them.

Trenton had calmed down and was now being untied and slowly sat up rubbing his head and looking at himself. Animal DNA? that was crazy, this whole thing was crazy. Trent had died, he remembered dying, so how was he here. "This is madness..." He whispered as he slowly got to his feet. As soon as he stood upright he got light headed and fell to his hands and knees. As the man came to help him up a low growl burst from Trenton's chest, maybe he did have animal DNA in him. He softly pushed the mans hand away and stood up again this time taking it much slower. He walked forward, his balance coming back to him. Everything looked so new to him, the sun seemed brighter, the air smelled different and it even felt different.

After listening patiently, Katheline curled onto her side then before pushing herself half-way into a sitting position, shakily moving her new wings around herself to cover what the scraps of burnt, century-old rags no longer did. She was highly uncomfortable now and released her brother's hand, bringing her free hand to feel around the cuff that held her wrist to her brother's. "S-sir William... sir, would please take this off me? And... is there anything I might cover myself with? These, these scraps haven't served their purpose since they were burned to ashes." She moved the hand again to hug herself with it, feeling rather imodest amongst all of these strangers.

Kane looked away from her for her sake, well, he hadn't really looked at her since he'd realized neither of them really had anything on. Noticing so, he carefully pulled himself into a sitting position and did with his wings what his sister did, folding the scaly things around himself though not having to struggle so much to cover himself. He wasn't so uncomfortable as Katheline, but just as reluctant to begin walking about without proper clothing. He waited silently for the cuffs to be removed while she held himself up with his uncuffed hand, gazing further around his surroundings as he now got a better view. 'What an odd collection of people... beings, I'd dare call them. I wonder if any true witches had anything to do with the making of such a group.'
