Introduction
The City: A MMO game that is highly advanced compared to other games of the time. It features an immersive world of 60 by 60 km on one server and a 50 by 50 km one on another.
Server 1: The actual city, plays in the modern era and starts with a 5 by 5 km city with skyscrapers in the center. Players start in temporary shelter in the outskirts of the city, defined by shipping container like communities. From there they can level up their skills, find work, interact with each other etc. The players do not need food or drinks in game and it is completely optional. Players can eventually open up their own businesses and afford better housing. They can also buy properties and build their own homes. The system also deals with crime and is strict. Player killing can lead to a temporary ban and repeated player killing turns into a permanent ban. With a permanent ban, the player cannot log on to the server anymore, even with a new copy of the game. Drug dealing and black market is tolerated. Players can even earn real world money in game and can exchange real world money for in game money if they have an in-game business. The first server is more of a social MMO.
Server 2: The second server plays in a steampunk world and offers more of an adventure orientated environment. Player killing is still punished, however tolerated if consent between both parties for PvP is given. The second server starts with a wilderness with a small settlement to begin with. Players start by living in tents and can go out and gather resources to craft their own things and go and kill wild creatures in the wilderness. The map is 50 by 50 km for the start but upon reaching 250,000 players, it will be expanded to 250 by 250 km offering room for up to several million players. The server features the ability to modify a character with technology and even establish independent governments.
Bugs and Glitches: Bugs and glitches are often recognized by distorted items. Upon recognizing these, the player must notify an admin. If players use these to harm other players, god knows what happens to them. In the beta testing, a player abused a glitch to harm another player and suddenly disappeared ingame and was found dead in his apartment in the real world.
