Tier wildes (Terry)'s Story

When Terry had arrived at school about two weeks ago, she was already the center of a lot of attention.
Her new girl status, coupled with her warm personality made it very easy for her to make lots of friends in a very short time.
It was from these so called friends that she heard rumors of a set of snobbish desire demons attended the school.
She was told that she should stay away from them or they would eat her heart.
These and other outargues rumors filled her head with the wrong ideas about the two, leaving her to jump to conclusions.
Having just finished her late night class on beginners manna control, Terry strolled the halls on her way back to her dorm.
it was at this point that she could feel something begin to stir her mind.
She was always able to keep her focus, even under the most stressful situations.
But something was bothering her, and she couldn't shake the feeling that she needed to get to the bottom of it.
As she slowly walked down the halls, a distant thunder storm began to rumble.
She could hear the wind howling through the corridors, and in that wind she could feel the spirits whisper of some imminent danger.
Knowing the difference between bravery and stupidity, she returned to her room and tried to just let the mystery go unsolved.
After an hour of restless tossing and turning Terry Couldn't take it any more.
straightening her pajamas, she strapped her sacred dagger to her hip, and went back into the halls.
It was even darker now and the storms were even closer, but she had to figure out what was bothering her.
She didn't know what she was looking for, but she knew she would know it when she saw.
Still being new, she hadn't learned her way around the school yet.
pulled by some unseen force, she walked deeper and deeper into the dark halls.
Finally she saw some one at the end of one of the halls.
Running up to them, she stopped dead in her tracks to find that it was the 'desire demons' she had heard so much about.
Thinking that it must have been something they were doing that drew her there she growled and said
"Hey, what's the big idea dragging me all the way out here? I got class in the morning to."
Normally Terry was nice, but she gets cranky without her beauty sleep.

Faiz and Saiya heard the footsteps to the running girl and had turned to face her. Faiz watched her silently as she commented grumpily and then went back to studying the door. He wanted to get in and find what was drawing him so he was mostly focused on that. The other reason he didn't answer was because of his shyness. Answering direct hostility had never been his forte so he usually remained silent, which only fueled the hostility now that he thought about it. Still, his personality wasn't about to change now.

Saiya would have smiled at the girl but instead ended up glaring at the khajit. Well, wasn't her attitude nice. Although the fact that she was talking about being dragged here was somewhat interesting. She considered it for a moment before deciding that perhaps she had followed the same tugging that had led her and her brother here. Her voice wasn't overly friendly but it wasn't harsh either. "So you followed a feeling here too? Well my brother and I were awakened by a tugging sensation that led us here. Currently we are contemplating the door."

Not being the smartest of her tribe, Terry looked at Saiya with a confused expression "Contom-wha?."
shrugging and shaking her head, she needed smaller words, but something she said caught her attention.
"So you guys aren't the ones who called me here?" she asked taking a few steps closer.
Terry's posture relaxed, and her tone softened as she began to question the situation " So..Whatever kept me up, it woke you guys up to?"
Now within arms length of Faiz and Saiya, Terry began to look on at the door with them.
"Well, I guess we should figure out what this is all about before it gets to late" She complained still wanting to get some sleep.
Trying not to be a total brat, she heaved a sigh, and smiled softly before introducing " My name is Tier by the way."

Faiz watched her out of the corner of his eye when she started to move forward. He nodded to her when she introduced herself. "Faiz." Then he went back to studying the door. Gently and cautiously he touched it and rested his palm on it's surface. Nothing was trying to kill him yet so he was starting to wonder if it wasn't protected by more than the lock. If it held something that could reach out into the school to the students it seemed completely foolish to leave it unspelled. It could also perhaps lead to another area where there would then be protection over the thing calling them. The biggest question is why it would have protection at all - was it to protect the object or the people it called?

Saiya's reply was a bit nicer. "Saiya. Yeah, I imagine it is the same thing since we ended up in the same place." She watched her brother for a moment before rolling her eyes and giving an impatient huff. "Okay this is enough. Door begone!" At her last word she lifted her foot and gave the door a powerful and swift kick. While it probably wouldn't have worked had she been human, she wasn't. The door cracked and she kicked again as Faiz grabbed Tier's arm and pulled her back. The door had been destroyed and pieces of it flew everywhere, not to mention the dust. He quickly let her go and looked into the now open doorway. Saiya did too. "A staircase? Damn it..."

Faiz looked at her, slightly amused. "Don't be so impatient. Staircases are good, it could have been something wanting to eat us."

Her pajamas now covered in dust and splinters, Tier grumbled obscenities in her native tongue.
But at the same time, she couldn't help but admire Saiya's Strength once the dust had cleared.
"Wow, Not bad sai! " She said as if they were friends.
seeing that the two of them had already left her to start up the stairs, her ears fell to the side, and she let out a disappointed groan.
" Hey wait up! " she called out as she ran after the two of them.
Catching up quickly, they all climbed the stairs in an awkward silence.
Terry couldn't take the silent treatment.
She began to nervously run her fingers through her hair before asking "Ssoooo, umm,. What brought you guys to school in the first place?"

Before Tier could answer the question as to why she came, Faiz lit a small ball of fire that startled her.
As the stairs well's darkness grew, Tier became more and more on edge.
She began to wring her hair and fidget with her tail.
once in the upstairs room Tier began to look around.
The shelves held all manner of bottles and scrolls, books and artifacts.
As she rummaged through all the old objects she couldn't help but peer over at the two siblings.
Thinking to herself " They're here on behalf of their people to.. That's not what the others told me."
Not paying attention to where she was walking, Tier bumped into a large bookcase and knocked it over.
Dust and books went flying in every direction, and the slam of the fallen shelf was enough to wake the dead.
Slowly looking back, she saw that Faiz and Saiya were not amused.
Laughing a coy, nerves laugh Tier apologized " Sorry about that."
perking her head up, Tiers ears began to twitch.
Looking around it seemed almost like someone was talking to her from some unknown direction.
"You guys here that?" She asked, but didn't seem like she expected an answer.
Obsessively looking around, she began to yank books off the shelves.
pawing at her ears she whined pathetically "Guys, help me out here.. I know somethings making a noise, but I can't find it."

Putting her ear to the book, Tier's velvety fur stood on end as she cringed at the sound.
"Agh, yeah that's the one alright" she said as she began rubbing her ears.
"Stupid thing sounds like.. huh?"
Putting her ear back to the book, Tier noticed that the noise was no longer just random sounds.
"It sounds like.. some ones talking" She mumbled as she picked at the cover with her claw.
To her the words sounded so familiar, but at the same time completely foreign.
"I don't get it" She announced, her ears slumping in defeat.
"I know I've heard this stuff before..At least I think I have"
With a confused look on her face she slowly walked over to Saiya and took her by the hand.
"Maybe you can figure it out.. come on sai, have a listen!" She asked as she eagerly tugged her in that direction.
Being closer Faiz would have been the more obvious choice, but it seemed that Tier was more comfortable with another female.

Tier jump when Saiya jerked, but quickly regained her composer.
after hearing what she said the book was telling her, Teir began to back up from her. "You mean it.. it wants us to read it?"
She asked as Faiz took the book from his sister.
As Faiz cracked the book open, a strange light burst from the pages with surprising force.
The force of the light blew the artifacts off all of the shelves, and toppled some of the smaller book cases.
The powerful light then filled the room and became a blinding gleam.
Strange spirits, and visions began to cover the walls of the room as the air became increasingly thin, and cold.
As Tier rushed towards the book, she drew her dagger and raised it high.
As she laid her hand on the pages of the book the girl simply disappeared with a flash of light.

Tier rubbed her aching head as she got up off the ground.
As she was about to reply to answer, but her voice was drowned out by the strange voice of there caller.
"Welcome to my pages....I am the Compendium..." The voice spoke, as the words seemed to come from empty void.
As Tier sheathed her silvery dagger she back up closer to the siblings.
"Are you the one who woke us up? The one who called us to that attic?" Tier asked in a surprisingly serious, and mature way.
But the moment soon passed as she once again took a bratty tone. "You know, it's not nice, or wise to keep me up all night. Then you suck me and my friends here, into this big.. Nothing! You got some nerve."
Letting out a frustrated *Hmph* and crossing her arms, Tier began tapping her foot as if waiting for some kind of apology from the enigmatic voice.
Fortunately for all of them, the Compendium didn't seem to take insult to her complaints.
Seeming to ignore her, the voice furthered it's own agenda. " I have brought you here... Because my worlds are dying..

Saiya looked at Tier complaining to the weird void voice in surprise and shock. Faiz felt the same way but he didn't show it beyond rubbing the bridge of his nose. Thank heavens it seemed immune to her comments. Most semi omnipotent entities probably would though - complaints of the tools they use just were not that important. Saiya relaxed a little bit after hearing the voice continue on.

"I have brought you here...because my worlds are dying...I am the compilation of every single tale created by man kind and supernatural kind. Fable, fairy tale, legend, folk lore, dreams...they all lie within me, a world of their own...now they are dying...they are mixing together, erasing the boundaries between them...one tale within another...then they become unwritten...you, who heard my call must heal my pages...heal them and you shall be free..."

When it finished talking to them a shape began to take form before their feet. About three feet away a black door shape was formed on whatever they were standing on. When it was finished, detail and all it stood up on it's own, the door nob glistening and inviting them to touch it. Faiz and Saiya backed up a bit as two more doors formed themselves and popped out of the ground. Each one had a little label on it, but the letters were all jumbled making it illegible. Saiya poked one. "Think these lead to the worlds...?"

"Most likely. I wonder how we are to fix them..." In front of the group a book hovered and the voice came once more.

"Take this internal version of myself...each page of the book is one of my worlds...when you find the missing elements of one world in another trap them....then place them onto the page and back into their own world..." The voice finished speaking and they could tell it was gone for now as it left behind such a complete silence that Faiz and Saiya were afraid to break it.
