Daenerys crouched on the ground. Her black dress grazed the ground from the way she was squatted, positioning herself as though not to be detected. She kept her hair tied back and away from her face, though small strands had fallen in her search. Her violet eyes began to sharpen, the pupil growing smaller and smaller until it was the size of pin-points. She took a small deep breath, keeping her body as still as she could. There, across from her, no more than eight feet away, was a large buck. She watched as a stag walked, chewing the grass that was growing along the forest floor. She watched the eating pattern he had, always going for the greener, riper grass. She noticed how he would glance up, ever so often checking the area for predators. This made her laugh on the inside, because the buck wasn't doing very good of a job. She held her bow expertly, the arrow resting between the bushes, as still as a week old corpse. She inhaled, closing her eyes, and holding it for a few seconds. As she exhaled, she released the arrow, and opened her eyes at the sound of an animals dying groan. She smiled in approval, and stood, walking towards her slowly dying kill, still twitching with life. She stood beside it, squatting near its head and pulling her dagger from it's sheath. "Shh..", she whispered softly, aiming the dagger at the throat of the deer, and slicing it cleanly. The twitching ceased, and she wiped her dagger on her dress. She stood up, and turned to her hunting group that consisted of her combat instructors, and a guard. "It is all yours." She walked away from the group, tucking her dagger back into her sheath, and returning her bow onto her back. Another successful hunt. Father will be proud.

King Kaal, dragon, and undisputed ruler of The Forest was alone. He enjoyed his alone time quite a lot, and if he had to be honest it was the only time, except for whem Iluminai was around, that he felt calm. Like there was no one there to set his anger into motion, light his bomb, or whatever you'd like calling it. His body wasn't aching to hurt something and he wasn't constantly agitated with the world around him. If there was one thing that would get the king's blood boiling, it was having idiots, also called subject, around him. Especially his daughter would have him throwing stuff around. However, they were, along with his queen, also the only ones he wouldn't physically hurt. It was an odd thing, really, but if it hadn't been so, he probably wouldn't have had any daughters. They were just so... irritating sometimes with their young ways and silly shenanigans. He couldn't even say how much it pleased him that Daenerys was merely out hunting, and that she'd brought people. He hated when the girls went out on their own. They might be princesses, but they were not immortal. Hell, even he wasn't... albeit he wasn't far from. Not much could really hurt a dragon in his original form.

As it was, however, the king had chosen to roam the forest on foot, in his human form. Honestly there wasn't room enough between the trees to properly fit his huge dragon form. Besides, he really was intimidating enough in his human form; 7ft tall, yellow eyes, broad form, swords strapped to his back, knives in his boots. The king was no easy playmate. He never had been. He had been slightly in his own world until the sound of a twig snapping on the forest floor, caught his attention. His head whipped up, eyes focused in the direction the sound had come from. The king was nothing if not observant, so he smiled wryly at the prospect of a kill. No one dared disturb him when he was on one of his lone walks, and he would punish the offender quite harshly. Thus was the way of king Kaal.

As he slowly made his way around the trees, his huge form surprisingly making no sound, his keen eyesight scanned the forest, ears perked to hear even the slightest of sounds. The sounds of careful footsteps and whispering came slowly closer. The king's eyes narrowed in irritation and not long after, he caught sight of... humans. Two humans. Now that he was focused on the two, he could easily make out the stench of human. One was female, and wearing one of the fancy dresses humans thought important to show power. The other was male and very obviously a servant. He seemed nervous. And rightly so - the forest was no place for humans. The girl however, seemed merely curious. Even slightly excited at her little adventure. Too bad it would be her last.

The king relaxed his stature, although irritated with their presence, there was no danger and honestly he was a little interested in who had dared enter his domain. So instead of charging forward, killing the two instantly, he merely calmly walked into their line of sight, watching them intently. If they tried to run, he would hunt them down easily. Humans had never been any form of challenge, trained or not. The girl's eyes widened as her eyes were finally able to spot him. "See, Jenkins! I told you we would see creatures of the forest soon!" The girl squealed. It made Kaal smile another wry smile. If she only knew who she was dealing with, she probably wouldn't be so excited. She looked old enough to understand danger. He was guessing her to be around 17, or 18 years old. Perhaps 16. He had never been a good judge of human ages, as he preferred not to spend time with such creatures.

Her servant cleared his throat, "we ought to go home, princess. This is far from safe." The guy said, and the shaking quality of his voice had the king chuckling to himself. Ah yes, fear... such a sensible feeling in this place, around his man. At this point, Kaal had come near enough to speak to the two, but he kept quiet a little. So she was the princess, was she? Hmm... he would have to take her prisoner then, not kill her. He would speak with his queen. She was much better with all things demanding finesse in any way. Of course, it wasn't like they'd ever just let the little girl go.

"Oh, shush, Jenkins! I am certain this man is of kind heart and honest intentions." The girl naively countered. Kind heart? the words were so ironic, Kaal could not help laughing. "My intentions are mine to decide, are they not?" he finally spoke, moving to stand in front of the pair in the next instant. The girl's eyes widened as he towered over them, his yellow dragon eyes peering down at her. She appeared to choke on her own words, scent of fear finally emanating from the princess. There, at last a bit of sense. "O-of c-course..." she answered, stuttering. The servant opened his mouth, but closed it again; his anxiety so distinct it was almost intoxicating. Kaal cocked his head slightly, another question passing his lips, "what are you doing here? In my forest?" His irritation slipped into his words, never the diplomatic one, his tone rising slightly at the last bit.

The girl took a step back, "I-I... I just wanted t-to... y-you're.. the king? the d-dragon?" So she couldn't even answer his question? The king's anger flared and so his one hand shot out, snapping the neck of her servant in the next instant, the crunch of such an act resounding throughout the forest. He had caught the lad taking several steps, moving to run. The king would have none of that. His lips curved into a cruel smile, as he watched comprehension dawn on the girl. Her lips began trembling along with her entire body. The king didn't speak, but rather watched her, waiting for her to run. An instinct almost burned into all humans; the instinct to run from danger. To flee. As soon as fear let go, no longer holding her in place, the king knew she would turn to run. However, her foot would not even hit ground before he had her incapacitated. Preferably dead, but he knew Iluminai would nag him for it, and that woman nagging... well, he'd much rather jump into a tub of ice and stay there for the next century, his body freezing to the point of him not being able to do... well, anything. He hated ice. It was among the few things that could really hurt a dragon. And so, he would let the girl live... for now.

Daenerys walked along the path that normally led to the Castle. She pushed her hair off of her shoulders so it laid down her back, in thick white waves, easing the weight on her neck. The waves that fell down her back bounced as she walked, her body moving gracefully, and carefully. She passed a familiar Oak tree, one she normally would escape to for time alone. Often, she would venture there, to escape her father's anger. He was often mad, especially at her and her sister. She walked on top of a few large rocks, and stepped down into the stream of water that lead to the ocean. Once reaching the other side, she stepped out.

Deciding where to go, she went right, deciding not to go back to the castle quite yet. She walked through a big patch of tall grass, pushing away a spiderweb that was built between a few pieces. She stopped short in her tracks, and squatted, hiding in the grass. Humans..What are humans doing here? She growled lowly, and stood. She began into a sprint, towards a tree nearly ten feet away. Reaching the tree, she climbed up, thankful that it had low branches available for easy climbing. She was also thankful that the trees grew so close together. She reached out and stepped into the opposite tree, holding onto a taller branch as she crossed. Nearing the scent, she peered through the leaves, only being around eight feet up. She saw the tall figure, and grimaced. She wanted to play with the humans. She sighed softly, angry at her father for beating her to it. However, her father would smell and hear her immediately, she knew from past experiences, but, she jumped down anyway, landing behind him.

"Hello father.", said Daenerys, who, being much smaller than he, was smirking up at him with pure attitude, cocky and proud in her own way.

The bright color of the girl's hair made her look sweet and innocent as the light danced off it as a gentle candle, however, when she opened her eyes they were stony green as they settled on a small doe which as eating the lush green grass of the forest. Its soft nose nuzzled the ground and moved gently as it chewed. Yes, it was quite an adorable creature but the low rogue knew what she had to do. Carefully moving her cloak she pulled out a gleaming knife which she aimed precisely as not to hurt the creature. She threw her arm forward to let the knife fly and immediately it snuffed out the doe's life. Quickly she mumbled out murmurs of prayer for its life and how it would be passed down to her. She ripped the knife out and put the dead doe in her game bag, for it was small. The soft leather groaned from the loan and it was known that she would have to get a new bag soon, perhaps she could even trade hers for a new one; it was high quality and had last her several years. Dismissing her bag for now the rogue began to hike up the rocky hill but jumped when she heard horses' hooves pounding the earth, heading down towards her. She got a good grip on the rough bark of a tree and hauled herself up, tough because of her cloak. When her emerald gaze looked down she saw a herd of wild horses, letting out a sigh of relief she jumped down and began to stroke a gentle dapple grey stallion. They were all calm and approached her, anxious to get patted, all except one which was the most beautiful mount that she had ever seen. It was a strong black mare with a short mane yet long tail that trailed behind her like smoke. The black mare paced around with her ears laid back and eyes focused on the rogue girl as it snorted and pawed the ground angrily. Around its neck was a worn leather satchel filled with worn paper on which she saw her name and a picture of her. ROWENA WOOD.
