Prologue

The crew had been woken up a month in advance for preparations to meet their new home. It was simple enough, EDEN would reach Europa II, orbit the planet for 6 days, then after scanning the surface for a suitable landing place, EDEN would land on the surface of Europa II. Much was already known about this planet, about it's wildlife, it's seasons, and more due to probes that had been sent years prior.
All had been going well during the voyage. Six years, eight months. The voyage was six years and nine months long, approximately seven years. On that ninth month, the last month, the month that the crew was awoken and prepared for the landing, that's when things went wrong...

Sya, stirred, he has woken up from his deep hibernation of six earth years and 9 months according to this interface in his goggles. He looked out the tiny window he has been resting next to for the past few years, and directed his attention to the gas giant that the moon's planet revolved around.

"This should suffice," he thought to himself, staring directly at the giant. He could feel his insides tingling from the numerous supercharged nanospore cells that infected his body. The door of his small but comfortable space ship opened after he sent a small charge of energy through his palm into it's interface. His took note that his heart was aching more than usual when he stepped out of his ship;it was as if his heart was skipping a few beats every time he took a step. The pain began shortly after he came into contact with the ancient weapons and a mysterious probe of sorts was shot into his chest, spreading the nanospores into his bloodstream. He had contacted numerous doctors on Earth about the object, but they informed him it was too risky to remove.
Syao decided it was pointless to worry, the probe will be inside him till the day he dies. Shrugging the pain off, Sya began to recondition his body to it's peak, luckily for him, the Lion cells in his body preserved his muscles throughout hibernation and he only needed to recover the human part of him.

Running as fast as he could around the cargo hold, he could still feel the sensation of putting down his enemies while they slept in their hibernation chambers. Killing a prey in its sleep is dishonorable by a Lion's code of honor, but so is betrayal and meaningless slaughter, so he was giving them a taste of their own medicine. Besides, he has learned to ignore most morals and ethics for this extermination mission. His only regret was that he could not kill all of the traitors on this ship, because more hibernation chambers were hidden elsewhere in a more secure holding area. It would have been easier to just blow up the ship like he did with the first one when he sabotaged the engines, but when that ship exploded, the pain in his body was so intense, as if his body was ripping itself inside out. That time, he realized one while lying a pool of his own blood: the technology has a mind of its own, and he was just punished by it...

Forevermore Maria
Forevermore woke up from her nap groggily. She sat up in bed, stretched her arms wide in the air, and rubbed her eyes. Yawning, she slipped out and got dressed. Then she snapped to full attention, eyes wide open.
"Today..." She whispered. She heard knocking on her pod door, so she opened it.

"Today is the day. The day we reach Europa Two" A robot told her. She noted how it said it. Some people pronounced Europa II as Europa Two, whilst other pronounced it Europa The Second.
"We don't land for six days, but you can look out your window once we reach orbit, and you will see your new home planet."
Forevermore nodded and the robot walked off. The halls were very crowded today. Most people stayed in their pods all day. Pods were each person's personal space, a pod was a very small spherical room, with two beds and a space in between. The beds were single sized beds, rather small with plastic mattresses, a sheet, and a wool blanket, and the beds themselves were oval-shaped pods. They used to be used as the cryogenic hibernation chambers, but this past month they have been turned back to room temperature. The pods were lined with thick titanium walls and could be ejected from the ship under special circumstances. The beds also had anti-gravity suspenders inside them, so if the pods ever ejected from EDEN whoever was in their bed would not be thrown around. Everyone shared a pod with a roommate, or a spouse. She looked over at the other messy and empty bed in the pod. Her roommate had left some time before she woke up. She took two vitamin pills from the container beside her bed. The on-board ship's food from earth was basically astronaut food and it was hard to get all the nutrients you'd need from it. She sighed and left the room, she didn't need to lock it. No one on the ship stole from others. There was no need, as no one bought or sold on the ship, and everyone was provided the same things except for anything personal you might've brought on the ship. She wore her blue space jumpsuit. It was tight, uncomfortable and revealing, but that was one of the only five pairs of clothes issued to every person. Two other pairs of jumpsuits, and two pairs of cloth clothing. Not that it mattered, she had small boobs. The stares were normally towards other women. She made her way through the hallways, trying to avoid bumping into people, and she finally came to a research room. Though she wasn't a scientist, she was very skilled in many things regarding plants and animals, and the botanical research labs often asked her many questions and used her for advice. Today, however, she went to the animal studies lab. A researcher waved her over and she went to him.

(I don't want the ship to crash just yet, I'll initiate that.)

After running a calculated 15 km, Sya decided to grab some food from the ship's canteen, not that he really needed food because the nanospores enabled his body to receive nutrients from stars, he just needed something to chew on. Moving one of the storage containers that hid the opening he made years back, Syao took note once again that they were extremely light despite their size and his enhanced strength.

It wasn't hard disguising himself as the other humans, because they all wore the same outfit and mimicking them was so easy it barely even required a spark. Walking through the hallways, he received the same stares he received on Earth from people seeing his tattoos, he simply grinned at him and went his own way.

He passed a research room and saw a girl walk in, he didn't take notice of her because everyone pretty much looked the same on this ship with their suits. The girl walked into the room and he took a peek inside, the scientists were awfully busy preparing for the landing...

He had no business there because seven years ago, he absorbed all the data from the ship while putting the traitors to eternal sleep. He was nice and killed them immediately, it seemed as if they were really just sleeping. Well, making them brain dead was the same thing, those scum don't deserve to die a peaceful death.

He continues towards the canteen...

Chewing on his food, Sya notices a female looking robot enter the canteen, and from the way it's looking around and taking in its surroundings, it was recently reactivated. What's this? It seems to be having some kind of problem, interesting. These people are usually very thorough with the equipment, why'd they bring a defective robot onto the ship?

The robot leaves and Sya just shrugs the thought to the back of his head and continues to chew his food, but he couldn't ignore the gut feeling that this one could be different from the others somehow. Sya decided to keep an eye on this robot and unnoticeably marks the robot with a small amount of his energy that way only his nanospores can react.

The food here sucks he thought to himself, remembering his homeplanet's delicious home cooked meals that his Lion mother made for him. This recollection increased the flames of his anger and he decided to go look for a place to blow off his steam.

Sya went too far. In an attempt to push the limit of his control on his beast beast transformation he ended up transforming instead. Releasing a shocking roar that echoed from the ends of the vast storage area and pushed all the crates away, his mind went blank and his instincts took over.

The black furred humanoid beast stood there for a moment, sensing its new surroundings: it could hear distant footsteps, smell the creatures, and hear them speak. It found the prey. The beast got on all fours, easily changing his tacky suit into a plated golden armor with a back sheath for his favorite 4 foot loong kukkuri knife and sprinted to the wall separating him and his meal and began to rapidly kick it, each kick denting the material until he finally broke though. Then using its arms the beast tore away the wall and continued its hunt and headed for the greatest concentration of prey: the canteen

Bounding down the corridors of the ship with it's long black mane blowing from the air resistance like blades of tall grass in the wind, it was completely silent, and lowered it's body temperature to match the prey. It had experience with the traps its prey had, it has come out to hunt many times before in the past. A male prey had walked out before it, carrying a shabby little projectile launching weapon. The poor creature had noticed the beast but it was too late, before the guard could raise the alarm and shoot, he was headbutted into the adjacent wall, fracturing every bone in his body and splitting his skull. Without pausing, the beast continued to it's main destination, deciding there was no point in filling himself up early before the main course. Besides, this one stank and had broken its crunchy head, ruining on of the best parts of the meal.

At last, he arrived at his goal, and on his way here he had taken out 5 more humans in similar manners as the first;he enjoyed the crunching. Entering the enclosure, he let out an earsplitting roar to one: let his prey know of his presence and quiver in fear or run. And two: he liked roaring.

The humans screamed and scattered like birds when facing a 8 foot tall lionlike beast standing on it's hind legs. The beast let out a second, even more powerful roar that sent the ones near him flying and rupturing their eardrums. He liked prey that ran.

What's this? A female prey who isn't afraid? That's a first. He decided to take this as a challenge, he began to approach the skinny, dark brown maned girl.

"You better run little girl" he rumbled.

Xi-14 heard the shocking roar that echoed. It was so familiar… She had to no time to lose. She stood up, levitating into the air she said to herself in a monotone voice: 「 Opening dimension rift… 」she now dons futuristic sword-themed armour that features a set of eight disembodied blades that float behind her in a wing-like formation. She now dons a visor with a singular eye and horns at the end. Her mind soon abandoned the ‘Kokoro’ program, becoming a cold piece of machinery. She looked almost like nothing to her non-combat form. Her mind connected through the system of the ship easily; such a lack of security. She classified the firewalls to a level 5. She quickly looked through the cameras; there he was.

She quickly dashed towards the canteen. She had no fear of losing team members now; all she had to do is stop the threat. She knew her enemy already; Sya. Codename 4500. There was already a huge folder that she gathered into her own databank from the ship; he wasn’t going to be compliant for the most part. The humanoid transformation he just had only have a 20 minutes of duration, but it was enough to cause too much damage to the crew.

When she found herself in the canteen, she saw that the damage were already done. She pass herself in front of the human in danger; the sword encircled the beast with Camille. Her monotone and calm robotic voice announced: 「 Please Sya, cease all violence and fighting, or my program will be obligated to terminate you. 」She knew that the scientist wouldn’t like to see her doing so, but her program scored his threat to high. She’ll try to neutralize him, but it might take more brute force. She hacked into the system to set off the alarm.

She didn’t know if Forevermore was still standing by, but she said afterward: 「 Please, go into a safe place; I’m going to lock this place until the reinforcement arrives. 」She knew that she could defend on her own, but her program put her at first risk than anything else. She might have to use tranquilizers. While she waited the beast for an answer, she quickly analysed her enemy and his folder, trying to find his weak points.

"That coward fears me!" The beast roared, " he uploaded the data without me knowing! That foolish human lover changed after he blew up the bloody ship. He was actually worried this might happen!" The room shook as if all the screws were being loosened. Growling angrily, it looked at the robot in front of it, it despised the things. There was no fun in killing them, no blood to be shed, plus some of them were actually a pain to fight off. But alas, he seeked a challenge, the nanospores in his body are reacting to the robot. It seems that the human had injected some into the machine and now they have breed and have infested the majority of the hardware. The timer was ticking and he could feel the human pushing him back. THE FOOL! What if they find out he is a stowaway on this ship. That doesn't matter now anyways because the damned robot knows of his existence.

The beast had no choice, normally it would have stayed and fought for the head of this enemy. Time was running out and It discharged a large quantity of energy in a roar, taking out the lights and setting the external nanospores to selfdestruct. The robot did not see it coming, having most of its hardware damaged on the inside it froze, dropping its swords.

"Here's a little parting gift little robot," the beast growled while unsheathing the gigantic knife an hurling it. The blade cut air and stuck in the wall. That brown haired girl had pushed the robot aside split seconds before the blade reached it. Furious, the beast glowered at the two figures in the darkness.

"This ship just got twice as dangerous little girls." The beast growled under its breath and retrieved his weapon and broke the wall open. As quickly as it came. The beast disappeared into the ship. Leaving darkness and destruction.

Later when the crew inspected the cargo bay, they could find no other signs of the stowaway exempt for two holes in the wall and a bunch of misplaced crates. Even the files were gone, any external copies were corrupted as well. It was like nothing ever infiltrated the ship.

(Typed on my iPhone, so sorry for the typos. The character infos are now only for reference.super super sorry for the auto hitting, I didn't know and won't do it again. I edited out the kicking part, but the nanospores explosion part had to stay. I can't think of anything else so late at night x.x sorry x100.

Sya followed the traces of his energy to the robot in the cargo bay. He was still wobbly from the residues of the transformation but he had to act quick, valuable time was ticking away.

First he put the machine to hibernation, to prevent further memory damage. Then he charged the core with what was left of the energy he had expended in order to regain mobility. 7 years worth of energy just to barely manage a drunken walk, he laughed at himself.

Scanning the the robot with the goggles, while he staggered to the hidden ship with it in his arms. He recognized some features but couldn't put his finger on where he has seen it, maybe he'll look into it when his mind isn't as foggy.

As gently as a sleepy person could be, he placed the robot in the ship and closed the hatch. Taking off his goggles, he input command sequences and uploaded the data into the craft, careful to order the cleaning of all nanospores in her system and eliminating any data containing him or the beast.

Finally his work was done, and he lay down next to the window, bathing in the starlight.

"Get well soon little robot," Sya mumbled, wiping the blood out of his eyes. The thing in him had punished him again. But for the first time, his heart didn't skip a beat, even if it was for a moment. He rested his head against the ship and for the first time, he dreamed of home.

The machines hummed and the nanospores began doing their work.

Alas, death had not taken thee.

Her cold body was transported by an unknown man into a hidden ship. Nanospores entered into her, repairing her. Soon, the gears of her heart got worked once again as she regained ‘consciousness’. Although, with her memory corrupted, it was all gone. She started to levitate on the ground, and looked around with all the questions in her head. Why there is nothing? What is this? How it work? Where was she? Who was she? What is her program? What she needs to do? How she can function? Of course, she had no answer. She had no knowledge.

Although, after few minutes, she saw weird messages appearing in front of her. – Update – is written in big capitals. She let out a small robotic shriek as she got to her knees. Her mind was hacked into, information quickly occupied the empty place. She tried to fight back as she asked for a password. The memory was held temporarily, but the hacker entered the right password. A code of string of hundreds of keys were corresponding to the one that she had, and she stayed there, letting the hacker updating her. She wondered who it was, but when she tried to find the hacker’s location, she only got a corrupted response; how useless. She couldn’t say if it came from the ship or near them. All she knows, the hacker is for now known as Kami. God in Japanese. She wondered why such username, but soon saved the file in a new folder because she couldn’t find anything.

Soon, her battle form fell off and disappeared as she returned back into the girl that she was. Camille was her name. She took a glance around, analysing her environment. She didn’t know where she was, or more she didn’t know either; the localisation device wasn’t functioning properly for now. She let out a more human shriek and held her head more as she could feel that the hacker had launched a new program. The main goal of the program is cleansing her body from invaders, meaning those nanospores that repaired her were killed, and anything that could have occupied her body.

She soon looked around in the ship. She started to update on a new file, but each times, the file got corrupted. She was sure that everything in her hardware was working. She started to panic for a bit; for once, she doesn’t know why she didn’t work properly. She was soon tearing up for the first time, her ‘Kokoro’ acting up again, feeling the fear of confusing. Her eyes darted around as she did multiple scan of her system, unable to determine the cause. She wanted to scream, but she didn’t know if there was anybody around and wouldn’t like to wake up someone. She didn’t even know if the hacker was still there. The robot knelt there in distress, wanting someone or something to get up and show to her that everything is alright, and that she’ll be okay. She just doesn’t want to be alone, since she was so lost.

His mother and father were there, he was back in his old home on his planet. Mother was cleaning the house as always, she said that the planet's dust made her nose itch. Father was back from work and working on a the goggles he had been tinkering with for the past month. His gigantic hands carefully screwing a bolt, it was time for the finishing touch, and red paint was carefully applied. Sya had been wondering who they were for, these were extremely expensive, with the latest style and technology. The person buying these were incredibly lucky, because father is the best craftsman and engineer on the planet, he even makes equipment for the royal house. Father left the goggles on the window to dry and went upstairs to bed. Mother still had cleaning to do.

The door suddenly burst open and his comrades came in the house. Sya got up from the couch to greet them but his father beat him to it.

"Come in boys," he said warmly and ushered them into the house. They weren't here for a friendly visit, Sya found that out too late when a flow of killing intent filled the room and his father fell to the ground clutching his chest. Mother screamed and was silenced immediately with a bullet to her head.

"Sorry we can't stay sir, we have many other places to visit tonight," said the one Sya recognized as 6054 coldly, and led the group out of the door. "You're welcome to join the party little brother," 6054 turned around sneering," You heard the news', we weren't saved by these things, they stole us from our real parents on the paradise Earth. You don't owe these stupid beasts anything anymore. Come join us, we wont be far off." They left. Sya kneeled over his father's body, tears unable to come to his eyes.

"Son, take this," father whispered weakly, each word taking even more seconds away. In his hands he held the still wet red goggles, now drenched in his blood. "You've always liked red." Father died. Sya could hear roars outside the house from the always peaceful neighborhood. The roars were filled with all sorts of emotions.

Sya roared too. Roared in bloody rage.

The beast had woken itself up with its own roar, but this time it wasn't the beast, it was Sya. He was still in control, and the transformation ended. He gasped for breath, it was a nightmare, a recollection of that night, the night he lost everything. Calming himself down by reminding he had a task at hand he turned to the interface on his ship. The repairs were done, there were parts beyond repair, corrupted by the damaged nanospores which were incompatible with the metal in the first place. Sya kept the parts that were reusable and placed them back where they belonged, and ordered the machine to forge a newer, stronger body, while keeping the original physical settings. The upgrade made the robot more efficient, powerful, with metals infused with nanospores that enabled it to also store up energy like him, but arranged so that they would not explode when overcharged.. Weapon settings were loosened and made more flexible, giving the robot control over a slower changing version of the mimic weapon(10 minute cooldown). Finally it's armor was also changed, it had traces of gold lining but kept the original design and color scheme. The armor was now more durable with materials suitable for the new environment and could change shape more easily. Putting in the finishing touches, Sya fed it information on the beast and a command to recognize and neutralize when necessary. It's true identity remained secret.

The settings were finalized and the ship ejected the robot onto the cargo bay floor. Sya did not care if it could see him or not, because his goggles were enough to hide his identity, it could not move on it's own until an hour later, as it was reprogrammed to do so. Smoothly it got on it's feet and went on it's way to the R&D department.

Time to relocate again... He's running out of cargo bays
(I'll work on a Datafile for the mimic weapon)

– Thanks you – appeared on Sya’s google for a moment, in the corner. It was signed by ‘Kami’. The trace of the sender was unknown, and it disconnected afterward.

The robot soon felt ejected from the place she was in. An hour there in the cargo, lying down with her motor not responding. Once she could move again, she felt compelled to go back to the R&B department. She slowly made her way there, easily bypassing the security system for the door from the cargo into the main area of the ship. The alarms had sounded loudly as it was announced an intruder was here, and many soldiers came out to encircle Camille. She looked around in confusion; why they haven’t recognize her? Was there a problem in the ship system? These people talking over their radio as she overheard the conversation. She saw a crowd of people gathering to peer over the soldiers, and one of them asked them to get out his way so he could inspect the intruder. It was the scientist she first saw, but he was new to her. Her memory was only filled with her programs, and a mystery data she haven’t looked yet. The scientist soon disabled the alarm, seeing that it was in fact the robot that was put to quarantine, since it was too damaged for them to repair. The scientist lead her to the office she was once lived in, but it was all new to her. The scientist knelt down to her, looking into her eyes.

“How long have been this trip?”

「 I’m unable to answer. No data have been found. 」

“What is the name of this ship?”

「 I’m unable to answer. No data have been found. 」

“Who is your creator?”

「 I’m unable to answer. No data have been found. 」

The scientist smiled. Soon, more people rushed into the office to analyse her, but he scrawled as he said that it was his job now and they had nothing to do here. He said that they had other stuff to do. The people looked at him like if he was insane, but he was right. They had given him the task now, since the last one unfortunately died. They got out, whispering to each other on own much he changed in just a few seconds. The scientist sighed, indicating to Xi-14 to sit down on the chair. The chair had been modified, but it was new to her. She whimpered a bit when she felt connected to something, but soon she made no sound. Her memories went back into her, but there was altered memories and deleted ones. However, it was new to her.

Once the transfer done, the scientist said to her, or more entered as a code: “If anything bad happens, search for a small crate marked M8V§48R¶ after entering into Europa II.” and then she was deactivated for the moment. He made sure that nobody was around, and he opened a small part of her, where a clear crystal was to be found. He pulled it out and threw it into the trash. He then place a mysterious purple one, and putted the small part back together, reactivating her.

She was let back into the ship on her own, just to make sure that everything is ok with her. He said that she’ll monitor her from a distance so she won’t be bothered by him. She skipped around the ship, looked at the face of people she knew. Even though, they were new. They looked at her with some kind of rejection. She did not understand it, but her programs told her to not go to them. Instead, she led herself to the window she was once observing the infinite space. He leaned on the rail, looking through the transparent material, in complete silence.

Wasn't wearing the goggles the moment the message flashed across his goggles, so he was completely oblivious to the existence of such a being. Besides he was too preoccupied with his thoughts to even care if he had seen it anyways. He was thinking about nothing. No plans for what to do next, no plans for the future. So he meditated. To clear his mind even further.

Sya could see to the far ends of his mind, he went even further. Something black and feral was there, it emitted a stench of thousands of corpses. The thing stank of disease and death, it was practically coming off the thing in dark fumes, eating away at the corner of his mind. It rushed towards him, Sya welcomed it and let it engulf him, and seep into every pore of his body, every artery, every cell, every atom that made up his very being. The feeling wasn't pleasant, but in a weird way he enjoyed it. Then the pain kicked in.

Sya, wiped his eyes. No blood, but tears, that's a first. He got up and walked the dark silent corridors of the ship in lock-down, like a wandering ghost.

He stood in the darkness outside the loading bay on the furthest side of the ship, isolated from the residential area. This was the area marked "Crew only" but even the crew hardly even came here, everything was preset and self sustaining. This was the most deserted area on the ship,so it seems.

He knew well what was behind the walls of the loading bay, he had known the moment he changed into the beast that they were here, and they had known he was here too. One more step and they would know of his presence.

He took that step, and blew open a hole in the wall with material shattering gauntlets that ran up his whole arm. A single full body swing was enough to shatter boulders of topaz on his home planet. His flame patterned robe shifted to a black reinforced suit that was heavily armored at the shoulders and he equipped meteor busting sniper rifles in each hand and fired successive rounds into the room, each shot dislocating his shoulders but quickly reattached by the suit. The rounds exploded, killing a few surprised traitors who were unprepared. The rest avoided the rounds and began the counterattack, some running towards their towering battle suits while others joined the rush, all roaring as they changed from man to beast. Sya's suit changed again, this time artificial muscles were focused on the legs. He launched off the wall straight towards the leading traitor like a bullet. His gigantic kukuri knife was blocked but it stunned the target, and it was finished off with a clean cut down the middle with the gravity suit greatly increasing Sya's weight. Heavily armored, the gravity suit blocked most of the blows standing its ground while Sya charged the heavy razor sharp pole axe on it's sheath which protruded from the side of the suit. Releasing the built up potential energy, the axe swung in a wide arc around him, it's bendiness allowed for more powerful swings when released, nothing can block it.

There was too many to fight, the 5 he just speared in a row was only to be replaced by more beasts out for his blood. The mechas were approaching with extreme speeds, sending sparks off the floor as they charged with the boosters. Sya fired a 6 foot long dragon cannon over the heads of the beasts at the nearest mech. The shot left many headless and crushed the pilot inside his craft. However, Sya was sent flying to the wall behind him. The ceiling collapsed and a mech twice the size of the the ones in the cargo bay touched down, catching Sya in the cockpit, immediately enclosing him. The titan grabbed the nearest mech and flung it at it's comrades. There were so many enemies latched onto the titan now that it looked like it was made up of hair and meat.

The titan fell. Enemies furiously pounded the cockpit, until it flung open with a Earth shattering roar. The beasts stepped back cautiously, and a black furred figure jumped out. The last things many would see was red, lots and lots of red, flashes of a red hot blade, glimpses of red tattoos. Twenty minutes later, the battle was over a goggled head landed on the floor with a thump.

Sya turned away from the loading bay and walked back the way he came. Behind him he could hear the moans and screams and laughter. His palms were bloody as his fingers dug deep into his muscles, and his mouth bled from clenching his teeth.

He can't run from it anymore. This is what he is, there was no separation in the first place.

"I am the beast."

While the scientists and some of the crew were worrying about the Umbra Venator, another probe found its way to a very large mountain that was surrounded by a storm cloud. The mountain was at least the size of Mount Everest on Earth, and above the cloud, the peak of the mountain was covered in snow, and looked beautiful. Below, however was a different story. The mountain was bare, with rocks jutting out from the side, what plants did grow were small, and had adapted to the low light environment underneath the giant storm cloud. The probe would continue to move through the landscape of the mountainside, stopping at the mouth of a huge cave. The fearless probe ventured into the depths of the cave. Oddly enough, it didn't need to activate its night-vision or thermal-imaging, or even turn on its lights due to the fact that the inside of the cave was covered in crystal that glowed brightly enough for all to see clearly. Anyone watching the video feed from the probe would have their jaws hanging open at the discovery.

Before the probe was a massive creature, maybe about twenty feet in height, and maybe fifty feet in length from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail. The scales were a dark purple, and the wings were huge, as well as the rest of the body of the beast. The drone moved closer to the head of the beast, and the large horns also came into view, as well as the large teeth that poked out from between the lips of the beasts maw. What was before the probe was a Dragon. But not just any Dragon, a Storm Dragon, and it was fully grown. This Dragon had the powers over Wind, Water, and Electricity-lightning being the main source of Electricity.

But, humans wouldn't know what Dragons look like, would they? After all, they don't have any true Dragons on Earth. Sure they have Komodo Dragons, but they aren't true Dragons. Nor are the other reptilians with flaps of skin that act like wings. They are not capable of true flight through the power of pure muscle.

There was no more cave beyond the Dragon, so the probe turned around, heading out of the cave. Lightning struck all around the probe, sometimes just feet away. The thunder bellowed, as if yelling, warning the probe to leave and never return. All this would be sent to EDEN, which was approaching Europa II.

Against the darkness of space, the black Titan was invisible. No heat signatures could be felt from inside, all functions other than minimal life support was running. It was completely off the sensors. Sya was hibernating, he has been there for several hours, waiting for the right time to strike, when the ship begins to land. The built in stealth was enough to hide from the humans, but to hide from his brethren, he had to take another step.

Explosives were planted around the cargo bay and set to explode after the ship safely entered the atmosphere. Sya could not risk setting them off any sooner due to the cargo bay's proximity to the engine. With the element of surprise on his side, there was a higher chance of winning this battle.

Sya woke up, something was wrong, the ship was tilting too much for atmospheric entry and it was too early for landing. The interface notified him that the ship was ordering an emergency evacuation and the loading bay door was opening. The traitors were planning to enter the atmosphere on their own! He had to think of a course of action quickly, a chance like this wont ever show up again. Sya could set off the explosives now, but the escape pods have not launched yet and the risk of blowing up the engines were too high. Calming himself down, he decided to wait and remain cool , otherwise they will detect his rising body temperature.

The sensors were picking up a lot of activity on the loading bay, the mechs were nearly prepared to launch. His finger hovering over the detonate button on the display.

The mechs were leaving the ship one by one with a supply crate in each arm. He needed to act now. Some pods were beginning to leave. He really needs to act now.

He pressed the button. A split second of silence later the loading bay blew up.

The noise, it was...loud. As the ship crashed down to the surface Europa II, the ground shook , causing rock slides from the giant mountain that was surrounded by Storm clouds. Deep within the mountain, the great Dragon of Storm awoke, his White eyes opening and the Draconian slit-like pupils adjusting to the light. He had been asleep for years, and now he was awakening. His wings spread out and he stood, stretching himself out. As he did, the clouds surrounding the mountain would begin to fade away, revealing the beautiful mountain peak for all to see.

From his cave the great Dragon walked, and he looked around as his wings stretched out to their full span, and his tail flopped around absentmindedly behind him. It would be a while before he was capable of flight again, but for now, he was hungry. He went from the cave and towards the crash site of the EDEN star ship. Before he got to it, he reached the great plains that were on the western side of his mountain. He noticed a large heard of deer-like creatures, and he started to run with great speed towards them. Before the deer-like creatures knew what hit them, he had already captured a few within his maw and was in the process of swallowing them whole.

He needed more food, and he looked around, his wings again stretching out, feeling the wind hitting his wings was refreshing. His wings flapped gently, the muscles still not fully awake, and still not capable of hauling him into the air for flight. The last he remembered, there were mammoth-like creatures he used to prey upon, but they must have migrated to the other side of the planet to find food of their own.

He then continued a stroll around the entire mountain, marking it as his territory by slashing the trees with his claws, digging trenches in the grass, and leaving his great foot prints in the ground, along with leaving his scent over other things like rocks by rubbing against them.

It wasn't long before he smelt something that he had never smelled before. He didn't know what it was, and he knew just about everything about this planet, after all, he practically ruled over the fertile and untouched lands with a calm rule, and the occasional thunder storm if he was angry. The animals acknowledged his authority over them, and acknowledged his power as well.

But would the humans do the same? What was their purpose here? What even were they? What did they look like? How did they behave with each other and with other animals? So many questions, and they only way to answer them was to observe the bipedal creatures and their technology.

Birds flew over head, and the Dragon flapped his wings hard, knocking over a few trees nearby with the gusts of wind coming from him. Soon he flew up, and he marked his return with a loud roar, which echoed across the lands with a deep rumble, similar to thunder.

The explosives were only a distraction, Sya knew that. The heat was enough to hide the Black Titan from the radars while he shot precisely aimed laser bursts at the mechs' boosters, he only managed to hit seven, the rest were able to dodge. Without the boosters the downed mechs lost control and entered the planet's gravitational pull instead, and could not right themselves for optimal atmospheric entry angle formation and they burned up. There were 46 of those things left and they fired at the Titan. Sya did not need to dodge, these were only meant as a diversion, it was common knowledge among the forces of the planet that energy weapons were useless on the mechs, and he braced for close quarters combat. The mechs were trying to flank him, but stopped and instead turned and began to enter the atmosphere risking their backs to him.

Temperatures were increasing drastically, but the Black Titan did not need to enter formation. Sya proceeded to destroy the boosters that were stabilizing their descent and the mechs burned up in the atmosphere of the moon.

As he had feared, the engines exploded and Sya was forced to move away from his position on the ship and begin his own descent. A few mechs manage to survive, he will have to deal with them later.

He noticed a few pods also performing atmospheric entry. Something was wrong, they were entering at dangerous angles. He quickly flew towards them and grabbed to correct one of them. The sensors identified the occupants to be Forevermore Maria and Ace Grant. The names did not strike him to be important an he moved on to save as many pods as he could.

The Black Titan could fly only so fast and the remainder of the pods were lost. He maneuvered to the landing site of the leftover mechs to initiate the final battle.

The Black Titan touched down in a very dense jungle, the plant life that touched it shriveled and burst into flames. Soon the jungle was ablaze but the fire did not spread far due to the humidity. However it burned a wide area saving Sya trouble of finding the leftover mechs. They were smashed in and lying on the ground, and he could not sense any life in them. Something had destroyed them, something big. He needed to cool off the exoskeleton of the Titan, he found a nearby pond and submerged in it. The water immediately vaporized into steam, shrouding the Titan.

That something which destroyed those mechs got them right after they landed while their systems were cooling down and the metal armor was weakened. There was nothing powerful enough in this system to defeat the mechs at full power. Nonetheless he had to thank the thing for defeating those traitors for him.

The creature was still here watching him through the steam, it was sizing up the prey. Sya was not afraid, the sensors picked it up as a dragon, a fairly young one too, only a few thousand years old, he had seen worse. The nanospores had already entered the dragon, however it was not possible to detonate them this time no matter how much they breed because they weren't as supercharged as before, this was only for tracking purposes.

Sya relaxed, no matter how much it attacks the Titan, it could not penetrate the powerful armor. He hoped it would use its powers on him because his nanospores needed a charge. Either way it was no threat and he went to sleep again, knowing that the task at hand was completed and he was incredibly tired: his entire body ached from the rough entry, his eyes were bloodshot from staying open for so long because a blink would've been disastrous in the battle, and his mind was jumbled.

All the traitors were dead. What does he do now? He entered deep sleep...

To his annoyance, Sya woke up again, barely able to catch a few winks when the interface notified him that Xi-14 was nearby. He watched the recording of the two's interaction and was even more annoyed when they flew off. Shifter v2 was flying away, Sya had wanted to retrieve it. Now that everything has gone to shit for the humans he had no need for that insurance, because when he attached Shifter v2, it was to give Xi-14 a chance to neutralize him, but there was no need to fight anymore. Chances are, no one is going to survive anyways, the planet was already hostile enough, now something that doesn't belong here shows up and lowers their chance of survival even more.

Letting out a deep sigh, he realized the nanospores were breeding all over the place now that they have a new, larger container: the moon. Given them enough years and the right energy output, he could cause explosions anywhere he wanted. This pissed him off even more, because it was not what he planned, the dammed dragon extracted the nanospores into the environment, even it's great grandfather can't stop them now. It truly doesn't belong here, and he was sure there were more of the bloody things flying around somewhere. Some fool had planted eggs here 5000 years ago.

These humans are truly unlucky, it was mostly their fault anyways. They became cocky because they were off the food chain and screwed up the balance of Earth's ecosystem, and were forced to migrate across the stars. They'll most likely screw up this ecosystem too. No other species were willing to contact the humans because they were deemed not sophisticated enough to become part of the Univercom. Sya wondered why the traitors even betrayed their homeplanet to return to the hellhole that is Earth. Probably just wanted to fight.

The cockpit opened and Sya leaped out, he needed fresh air, if he stayed in that tiny space any longer while thinking, he might wipe out the humans himself. He decided to stay on this moon a while longer to monitor the situation and recharge his energy. As a member of Univercom, it was his job to report things like this back since this was a unexplored planet moon thing. He wasn't a fan of scientific speech. Sya sent the ship in satellite form into orbit in order to record further data, provide back up, and send a distress beacon for the Univercom to send a ship and pick him up. Sya was a valued member after all.

Armed with a bundle of kukkuri blades that the ship had manufactured for him before taking off, and the Shifter cloak, he made his way through the jungle.
