a character in “The Creeping Dead”, as played by hawon

Description

Jin-hee Jeong
Age 16
Height 150 cm
Weight: 41 kg
Hair: Black. Waist length. Usually pony tail or twin tails
Eyes: Brown
Nationality: Korean

Jin-hee is short for her age and people often assume she is younger than she really is. She is short, but her body is proportional - no physical deformities, like dwarfism. She is Korean and has all the features of an Asian girl; She has long black hair, that hangs down to her waist. Unless she is going to bed or just got up, she always wears it in a pony or twin tail. She has small, slitted, brown eyes and an almond color skin. She is very thin.

She has a large scar on her left hand between the 2nd and 3rd bone. When a group she was with were overrun by the zombies one of the men accidentally struck her in the back of her hand with a piece of metal, the metal split the skin open. It never healed properly and there is a big scar left that tells everyone where it happened.
She is missing two teeth (both molars; 1 upper 1 lower). A crazy man attacked her and started punching her in the face. The group was slow reacting and two teeth got broken. They had to be removed the old fashioned way, they got her drunk and pulled them out with a pair of pliers. Her mouth got infected and she nearly died.

Personality

Jin-hee is a good, soft person and she is very shy. She is bi-polar and has mood swings, sometimes she's happy, sometimes depressed for no obvious reason. She doesn't like conflict and when there is an argument in the group she will go as far from it as she can. When she has an argument and she's sure she is right, she will stand her ground for a bit, then give up and walk away, usually saying, "Fine do what you want!" But she won't do it herself or go with the person.
Jin-hee has never killed a zombie or any non-zombie. She can't bring herself to kill. They were once people and maybe, given time they will be people again. She'll fight them off, keeping them at bay, even injuring them to give her time to escape.
She is smart and likes people to know she's smart. But has a short attention span. The attention span combined with the bi-polar makes learning or doing precise things from memory very difficult. She is good at things that don't require a lot of instructions and can be done part-way walk away and then done later; like painting or reading.
When she feels overloaded with information, or becomes extremely frustrated she will get very angry sometimes crying.

Equipment

backpack
knife
Stiletto Glove
wooden katana
small bottle of water (sometimes soda) usually just 1

*She has studied Geomdo and Kenjutsu (Korean and Japanese sword fighting) and Taekwondo and Jujutsu (Korean and Japanese hand-to-hand fighting)

History

Jin-hee was the youngest of four. She had two older brothers and one sister. Her father was a CEO of a large company and her mother passed the National Korean Teacher's Exam, which is very difficult. She could have been a science teacher, but decided to stay home. Her three elders always did well in school and got into top Universities.
Jin-hee did not do well in school and struggled. Her parents refused to believe that doctor was right when he said she may ADD and bi-polar. They felt she needed to learn to be more focused. She was good at painting and the piano, so she just needed more practice.

They put her in Geomdo. Kenjutsu, Taekwondo and Jujutsu. They also put her in Gukseondo, a Korean meditation to try and improve her discipline. She got very good at all of them, but her grades didn't get better.
They tried negative reinforcement. They put her in many academies and pushed very hard criticizing everything she didn't get at least 96 in and allowed her brothers and sister to taunt her when she didn't succeed. This had the opposite effect, she did worse.

Finally they gave up and decided Jin-hee just needed to be happy. They'd have to accept that she'd go to a commercial high school. She took the National High School exam and interviewed at many high schools, her parents hoped for the best. She got accepted to the most prestigious art high school in Korea. To celebrate, her family went on a trip to Canada and the USA. Her family got sick and died on the trip.
Jin-hee scavenged pawn shops and markets to find the things that she has. She is afraid of guns and won't use them (She's more dangerous to herself than others with a gun). She doesn't know how to drive and when she tried taking a car, she hit a tree and hurt herself.
She was with a group of seven people, but they got wiped out in a couple of weeks. She's been on her own since, surviving by hiding and avoiding the zombies.

So begins...

Jin-hee Jeong

"Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" Jin-hee's voice in her head scolded. "How could I have been so stupid?!" she says as she runs turning the corner and down the street. From behind several of those things were in pursuit. They seeme to be coming out of nowhere and everywhere. She's faster than they are, but there are so many of them, it's starting to get toward night and she isn't sure she has enough time to make it back to her hideout.
Around another corner and in front of her are three of those things. She stops short, catching her foot on the ground and twisting her ankle. "Aish!" she curses as she falls. Jin-hee's caught their attention and they begin moving toward her. She looks around the corner she just came from and the other things are still approaching. She looks around for an escape, any place, anywhere that will give her time to reorganize or maybe hide - just in case. On both sides are rows of large houses, with big fences and foliage. On her right is a wall with a large wrought iron gate that she may be able to squeeze through. She looks at both sets of zombies approaching, 'may be able' is going to have to do. She hobbles to her feet, limps to the gate. "It'll be tight." she tells herself, but there is no other option. It's this or them.
She grabs her filled backpack from her back, tosses it over the wall and tries squeezing through the gate. As she squeezes through she gets stuck, "Come on! Come on! Get through! AaaaHhhhhhhh! GET THROOOOOUGH!" she screams finally pulling herself through, falling into the bushes and tress on the other side. She grabs her bag and crawls through the brush onto the lawn.
Jin-hee scans the large yard for any signs of more of those things. She doesn't see anyone or anything. She exhales in relief. She drops to the ground to catch her breath, grateful there's nothing. Just a big house surround on the sides by a high stone wall, trees, plants and a driveway. Her moment of relief is broken when she hears the sounds of those things trying to get through the bars. "Damn it!" Jin-hee hobbles back up, grabs her bag and limps toward the wall. It's about 7 feet high and made of thick cement. If she can make it to the other side and there's none of them over there she'll be safe.
Jin-hee tosses her bag over the wall and listens for a few seconds for anything on the other side. Hearing nothing, she hops back several steps, takes a few deep breaths and stagger-sprints toward the wall, jumping off her good foot she makes it to the top of the wall. She pauses momentarily to see what's behind her. "Good. Nothing yet!" she mumbles. And she lowers herself down to the other side and safety.

Once in the back area, she crawls the grounds making sure they're secure. The walls around the house are all in good shape, she doesn't see or hear any of those things in the back and nothing from the house; no broken windows, no open doors, nothing. She gets up and staggers back to her bag and sits. She'd consider going in the house, but if there is one of them in there, she'd be seen and likely killed. Besides, if there is one, it can't get out, so this is as safe a place as any right now.
Jin-hee opens her bag and pulls out what she risked her life to get - two 20 variety packs of chocolate: nestle crunch, 100 grand, baby ruth, and her first love Butterfingers. She pulls the wrapper off the box and grabs one of the Butterfingers from the box. Opening it, she stares at the bar. It's been awhile since she had one and she's going to savor the moment. Her ankle still hurts really badly, but this will help make up for it.

Jin-hee

Jin-hee remains on the ground til after sunset. She's decided to spend the night there, on the ground, protected by the walls around her. As the moon rises higher in the sky she can hear something, it's not loud, but loud enough to hear. Jin-hee cets up and limps away from lawn. "It's coming from around the corner." she murmurs. She limps toward the house and leans against the wall. She staggers toward the corner listening to hear if it's just a sound or a sound moving.
She peeks around the corner and there is nothing, no creatures and no people, just the sound. Now she is sure the sound is coming from the house.
She slides around the corner, bracing herself against the wall for support. There's a large window with curtains that prevent her from seeing inside. There isn't any movement in or around the curtains, so it's not coming from there. She slides along the wall, the sound is louder. She sees a window that opens into a kitchen. There are no curtains, she can see a kitchen table, a stove, the sink just under the window a door that probably leads into a closet and the door to the room with the curtain. The kitchen opens up into another room, she isn't sure what.
She continues moving until she gets close to a sliding glass door. The door also has a curtain in front of it, but this one has one of those creatures too. Jin-hee jumps back releasing a screech. She thought she was prepared for anything, but not this. The thing has no legs, just an upper body and a waist. It's scratching at the door, it's face nearly a full skull, it's hideous expression just teeth and bone causes Jin-hee to wretch.
From behind she can hear something as well. Up on a hill, her scream has attracted the attention of more of those things. They probably won't be able to get over the wall, but she isn't sure. From around the other side of the house another one of those things shambles around the corner. "What the..?" she stands staring. "It wasn't...fuhhh...! There was nothing an hour ago!" She stumbles backward, falling to the ground. She pulls herself together, she's got to get out of there and staggers quickly for her resting spot. She grabs her things and stuffs them in her bag. She takes the final swill of her soda finishing off the Diet Pepsi and tosses her bag over the wall, listening for that thing, it's pretty slow, but no sense in getting caught by being stupid and over confident. She tosses her bag over the wall and waits for a few seconds. She doesn't hear anything on the other side of the wall, she looks behind her and that thing is slowly approaching, she grabs the top of the wall and pulls herself up. "All clear." she mumbles and carefully climbs over the wall and onto the tree and hedge covered front lawn. She glances back at the wall behind her, she can hear that thing trying to get through to her, "Ain't gonna happen." she mutters.
With that she takes off across the front lawn constantly watching.

She's never killed one of those things, something she's proud of. She can't bring herself to kill anyone. Not even the two guys she saw trying to rape another girl. She clocked both of them with her bag, which at the time had several cans of hash and spam inside. She saved the girl and left the two of them unconscious on the ground. They probably got taken by those things, "Oh, well..." is her attitude. She limps between some trees and watches the darkened streets. She doesn't see anything, but it doesn't mean they're not there. She remains motionless for the better part of ten minutes, satisfied she staggers into the street, moving between the cars and the houses toward her hideout.

It's an effort with the heavy bag and her bad ankle. Two blocks from her house she spots several of those things in her way. "Damn it!" she curses dropping behind the shell of a truck cab. "100 meters maybe." she fusses, "Fuck!" she swears under her breath. She watches them moving forward in an almost focused way. "What are they..." She hears a woman scream. She now knows what holds their attention. She opens the door, checks it out, it's all clear and she climbs in. She can just see over them. There are two maybe three in a house. "Shut up and hide. Dumb bi..." she stops short. She has an idea, she looks around the cab and finds a wooden stick, it's a little long, but she thinks she can make it work, She jams the stick between the roof of the cab and the horn. It begins honking, she has their attention. She slides out of the cab on the other side and limps away before she's sure it even worked. If it didn't, there's nothing she can do about it. She's going to have to find an alternate route to her hide out, she's injured, she doesn't have time to worry about the fate of two people who don't have the brains to get out of a window and shut the hell up!

Jin-hee Jeong

Jin-hee can't go another step. She's done. Maybe she'll get lucky and those things won't come around, but she's not optimistic.
From somewhere behind her she hears a voice, "Hello, you must be hungry and cold. I can offer you a warm drink and some shelter. It is dangerous out here because of the violent zombies and raiders. At my lab, it is safe. I am Ea Levesque, researcher at the local medical lab. I am searching for a cure or at least a way to easen the situation a bit."

Jin-hee is relieved that she's been found by someone and her luck that it's someone who may know medicine. "My name is Jin-hee." the girl squeals through the pain, "I hurt my ankle. I can barely walk. Thank you for your help. I couldn't go another step." She limps over to the woman, glad that she has such good luck. Even if the woman can't fix her ankle, she must have some place safe from those things.
