This Is Me
Worded Description:
"Well, I know I'm a smart idiot."

About Me
Personality:
Calm and quiet. Sakamoto keeps to himself during school. He has friends, but he sees them only as tools to hold back his boredom, and would never actually trust them with something. Because of his trust issues, he tends to believe that he was the odd one out in any and every grouping of people, and, unknown to him, that belief has made that a reality. He hides a darker, cruel version of himself because he knows that showing it would only lead to some form of containment, something he hates.
Skills:
He is extremely calm in most all situations, and is willing to bend his belief's to meet with the current situation, no matter how crazy it seems. He can also run very fast and has a good swing, as he is on the baseball team.
Likes:
Large, open spaces. "Farthest from my fear..."
Exciting people.
Gelatinous foods.
Soda.
Time by himself. "Nothing creepy, idiot!"
Dislikes:
Close, tight spaces. "My fear..."
Boring people.
Tough food. "What's the point of eating something that takes that long to chew??"
Water
Perfume
Fears:
Claustrophobia: Ever since Sakamoto accidently locked himself in the closet while he was home alone when he was six and almost starved to death, he has been scared of any close spaces, and will progress through several stages of him freaking out until he hyperventilates himself to the point of fainting.

"Sakamoto!! Get up!!!" Sakamoto opened his eyes, closing them when the small amount of sun out hit them. His grandfather was yelling at him, but he had no idea why...
He bolted up. First day of school, why the hell did his alarm not go off?! He looked at it just as it went off, and he turned it off. "Yeah, I'm coming!" He shouted, rushing to get dressed. He ran down the stairs, the smell of breakfast drawing him in. He grabbed a plate and devoured as much as he could without choking. "Slow down, you'll choke!" His sister said. She was a couple of years older than him, but looked much older. "yeah, yeah." Sakamoto said with his mouth full. "don't eat with your mouth full." His grandfather said, setting a rice bowl down in front of him. Sakamoto, still hurrying, ate as much as he could. He grabbed his bag as he walked out the door. "I'm leaving!" He shouted behind him. "Alright, have a good day!" His grandfather shouted. Sakamoto shouted the same back, and turned to walk down the road to school. Nothing was unusual about it, from his stand point. Actually, he could easily have been more vicious, but suppressed it, which was easy to do if you've been doing it long enough. He failed to notice the young girl watching him.

Sorin watched as the Mystes walked from the house. She watched him head down the road. She couldn't follow him that way. The buildings were too low and people would notice her. She started hopping from roof to roof then froze. She thought... That's when it happened. A seal about a mile long spread around her. She turned her head slightly. She could sense a Rene but no sign of its master. Strange she thought.
"I sense a Rene but I don't sense any master," she said in annoyance to her Steele.
"No," it replied,"its master may have been killed. In that case it won't be around much longer."
Sorin nodded and headed to find the Rene.
Where was the Mystes? She caught sight of the Rene. An ugly thing. It had the body of aape and the head of a vulture.
She walked over to the Rene. It was busy consuming the existence of a human. She raised her Katana an brought it down cutting the Rene's arm of. It let out a high pitched squeal.
"Flame Haze," it cried, its voice distorted," let me consume! I need more!"
"Sorry, but that's the last you'll ever consume," Sorin said calmly and chopped the Rene to prices until its existence was no more. She turned and began creating rices for those whose existence had been consumed. Her mind briefly flickered back to the Mystes but she focused on the task at hand while all the others around her were frozen.

Suddenly the world changed darker and more vibrant. "What the hell..." He said, looking around.
"I sense a Rene but I don't sense any master," He looked up to see the young girl, wearing a long black leather jacket, tight leather leggings and black leather boots. She also held a katana in her hands, and to Sakamoto's surprise, she spoke to it, and it responded.
"No," it replied,"its master may have been killed. In that case it won't be around much longer."
She nodded, and started jumping across the roof's effortlessly. "Hey, wait! Sakamoto started running after her, then stopped, noticing that no one else was moving. Sakamoto started running again, and turned the corner to see a hideous sight. A giant ape with the head of a vulture standing there, mouth open. A student going to his school was being turned into some bright shiny stuff, which flowed into the thing's open mouth.
Sakamoto saw the girl behind the thing, but it didn't notice her. She raised her Katana an brought it down cutting the Rene's arm of. It let out a high pitched squeal.
"Flame Haze," it cried, its voice distorted,"let me consume! I need more!"
"Sorry, but that's the last you'll ever consume," She said, ending it's life. It exploded, but not violently. Much more of a poof than anything. The girl then became busy with what appeared to be making the people that were being eaten, using the strange stuff. Sakamoto looked around. No one else was moving, the world still dark and vibrant. "Uh, he-hey!" Sakamoto said, approaching the girl. "What was that?" He had many more questions for her, but that was the first that came to mind.

Sakamoto blinked. A Rene? Another word for monster, or something? Before he could ask any more questions, she was explaining to him that he was something called a mystes, which was a special torch that had some form of treasure in it. After that, she jumped away and out of sight. The world went back to normal a few seconds later, and everyone started moving again. Even his classmate, who was unaware that she just died, or something similar to dying. He stood there for about thirty seconds, processing what just happened, then turned and walked back home. "Grandpa!" He shouted, opening the door. "I think I'm sick or something!" Grandpa looked around the corner and frowned. "What? You just left! How could you have been feeling fine one second, then sick the next??" As a dutiful grandfather, he checked Sakamoto, finding him perfectly fine. "Get to school, you're going to be late!" His grandfather said, waving toward the door. Sakamoto sighed, and turned towards the door. "lazy kids..." He heard his grandfather mutter as he closed the door. Sakamoto walked to school in silence, still working on what he saw. 'Unbelievable, but... What else could it have been?' He thought, turning into school.

The receptionist glared at him for a second, then ignored him as he walked by. He opened the door to the classroom just as introductions were ending, so he was last. He took his seat, which was second to the farthest right, in the first row. Next to him sat Fujiwara, one of his friends. Her twin, Okami, tripped him as he went by. She was another friend, it was just her way of saying 'way to go, idiot.' He glanced to his left, and saw the classmate that was 'eaten', and frowned ever so slightly in concern. Before he sat down he introduced himself, then sat down and opened his notepad. Ms. Elise always just had introductions on the first day, then left the class to mingle. Sakamoto usually sketched when the teacher gave him some time, but now he had a couple of vivid images to put to paper, so he didn't have much time for socializing.

"What'cha drawing now, Yoshi?" Akira said. Akira was the last of his friends, and had a crush on Fujiwara. He tries, unsuccessfully, to do what Sakamoto does, which is to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. Of course, when trying to woo girls, you tend to become the talk of the school, whether you are good at it or not. "Nothing really... Just something I s-thought up." Akira seemed to have failed to notice his slight mess up. "Really?" He snatched the notepad and looked. There were two picture's on the page, one of the girl and the talking sword, and of the Rene. "Freaky..." Akira said, handing the notepad back. "You always put drawings that are related on the same page, but I can't see where you got these images..." Sakamoto shrugged, and continued drawing. When the bell rang, everyone got their stuff out and Sakamoto put his notepad in his desk. You don't goof off in Cauldra's class, otherwise you get detention. After school, the group, which consisted of Sakamoto, Akira, Fujiwara, and Okami, went to an icecream stand which had situated itself under a bridge. It might seem shady at first, but nothing along those lines actually happens there. Plus, the icecream prides itself for being the best in the city, according to some local polls. Most people still ignored it even after they came out, but Sakamoto talked everyone else into checking it out. Now, it's their usual hangout spot. "Something happen?" Fujiwara asked, noticing that Sakamoto wasn't eating his icecream. "Nah, everything is cool. Just got a neat idea in my head..." Sakamoto said, taking a lick of his icecream. After a few minutes, Sakamoto decided to head home early, and waved goodbye to his friends. Honestly, he was just hoping to encounter the girl and her sword to ask a few more questions...

Sorin watched the Mystes as he ran home. She glanced down at her sword.
"So that's how you're going to be?" She said unhappily,"be nice to strangers and be a git around me."
The sword laughed slightly,"hey I'm not the git, plus how many times have I saved your neck."
Sorin didn't answer she dust have to and she didn't want to. Growling slightly she followed the Mystes to school.
Sorin sat with her legs hanging over the roof of one of the school buildings. Yawning she dangled over the edge slightly and looked into a class to see the time. It had only be one hour. She sat up again. Now what? She felt a little hungry. She jumped of the roof out of the school.
"Woah, do you think the Mystes will be ok with us gone," the katana asked.
Sorin, again, didn't answer. Where could she get a panini.

Sorin handed her money to the man at the counter. She was in the local mall and had found a place that sold paninis. Her favourite food. She took a seat and dug in. It wasn't very nice. The bread was way too crispy and there was too much ham. She ate the rest of the panini.

It took so long to find a place that sold paninis that by the time Sorim got back school had ended.
"Now you've lost the Mystes, and your the git," laughed her sword.
"That's it!" Sorin yelled at it," you're going back in your sheath."
She shoved her sword in the sheath dispute its protest. The sheath immediately shrunk. Pleased with herself she walked of to find the Mystes.
It only took a few minuets but she found him in an ice cream shop. She watched as it walked out and she quickly shifted to human form. Her red hair and flaming eyes no more now her eyes were brown and hair was black. She ran under the bridge to the Mystes. She knew she was a head shorter than him. She tried to make herself look taler but failed. Giving up she glared at him.
"Your too easy to find," she muttered then raised her voice so he could hear her," hurry up your in danger in the open and I know you have questions but they can wait. She looked in the ice cream shop window at the Mystes' friends. They seemed to be staring at her. Then she seem the ice cream.
"Hmm, I'll be back wait there," she said and ran in. She walked up to the counter. She couldn't see over the top.
"Chocolate chip," she said to the woman serving.

She ran out of the shop, past the Mystes' nosy friends and began walking. She licked her ice cream and turned to the Mystes.
"Well, hurry up," she called, then se realised she didn't know his name," what do people call you?"
She began walking again.

Sakamoto stared at the strange girl, then looked at his friends. Akira was glaring at him, like he just discovered a secret he really would have liked to have known about, Okami gave him a thumbs up, and Fujiwara just looked confused. Sakamoto shrugged at them, showing them that he had about as much information as they had on what was going on, then turned around and started catching up with the rather short girl. "They call me Sakamoto." He said. "I didn't expect you to come out of the blue like that... So, uh, where are we going? And what's your name?" He decided to ask two questions at once, just the first two that came to his mind. He had been cooking on what he should ask her should he encounter her again all day, and had been boiling down the amount there was. He would have asked one of those, except that it wouldn't have been polite to have not asked her name, and he wanted to know where he would be going with a girl in a black leather jacket.

Turning Sorin looked at the Mystes. No one had ever asked her name before.
"Well," she said licking her ice cream," I don't really have a name... But you can call me Sorin. As for where we are going, your house. As I told you. Your in danger in the open. The best place is your house."
She began walking again. She was in her human form. Why was his friends staring.
"Why were your friends looking at me?" She asked not looking back. She turned the corner and took out her katana.
"Behave," she told it before it began to moan. It grumbled some colourful words then stopped.
She stopped outside the Mystes, Sakamoto's, house.
"Your house," she said pointing up.

Sakamoto almost stopped walking. "My house? Danger??" He thought for a minute. "Well, I guess that you'll explain everything to me when we get there, I guess..." He was busy thinking when she spoke next.
"Why were your friends looking at me?" He gave her a sideways glance. "Its, well, kinda unusual that I would have a girl suddenly talk to me. The way you did it looked like you knew me, and they didn't think I was the kind of guy to hide a girl." He stopped. "Oh, gods, I'm gonna need an excuse for tomorrow..." He stopped at the corner, and the sudden cursing stunned him a little before he caught up again. "So, uh, what's his, or it's, name?" He said, referring to the sword. He was pretty sure that his excuse would have to require her to be some form of cosplayer, to explain the sword. She suddenly stopped and pointed. "Your house." She said. Sakamoto looked up, then his eyes darted to the driveway. Good, empty, that means that his grandfather was gone, probably to go shopping. The real problem now would be his sister, who is two years older than him, and she would have gotten back from work by now.
He turned to Sorin. "Hey, I live with my older sister and grandfather. I don't want them to know that I met you. If they did, my grandfather would probably act all weird, and my sister would probably start making fun of me. So, please try to be quiet. I'm gonna try to slip you by up stairs into my room. If my sister wants to talk to me, just hide in my room. When you get to the top of the stairs, turn left, and its the last door to the right. Okay?" He added the last bit with hope that she wasn't a moron of some kind. If she wasn't Sakamoto certainly hoped that he could be quiet when she needed to.

Sorin looked up at the house. Then down at her sword. She really was fed up with it. It began to start moaning again but she sheathed it.
"Its name Honō no katana . It means Katana of the flame," she said not looking at him.
She looked up at the house. She didn't really care much about shelter. Or warmth she was hardly ever cold. She shook her head.
"I don't need to come in, I'll be on the roof," she said and jumped up landing with a soft thump. She looked down at the Mystes and gestured that he should go in. She sat back on the roof and yawned while she took her her sword out.
"Moan you go back in, got it?" she said coldly.
"Ok, ok. You don't need to get angry at me," it said," what are you going to do when you can't be with the Mystes. It could get harmed in the school."
"I don't know," Sorin sighed,"there was a torch in his school. I could take its position if it burns out before he does. But there is something strange about the treasure tool he posses. It makes him easier to find."
"You think I haven't noticed," the sword asked cheekily.
"Mmmm," Sorin answered an leant against the chimney.
If another Denizen, Rene or Flame Haze entered this city she would know. She lay back. It wasn't the warmest night but it wasn't too cold either. Yet it looked like it was going to rain. Sorin didn't care but her sword would complain. She sighed and closed her eyes.
"Why the hell am I here?" She whispered.
"Because you were se..." her sword began but Sorin cut it of.
"Just Shut Up!" she yelled at it. She put it one her sheath.
"You know I hate you, right?" she said ignoring its protests.
She opened her eyes again and was lost in many thoughts rushing through her head.

Sakamoto watched the girl jump onto the roof of his building noiselessly. Him watching her made him realize just how long he was hanging out with his friends, as it was almost night. He checked his phone, and noticed that it was around the time he usually got home. They must have taken a route that was longer than usual. He sighed. 'What a day...' He thought, opening the door to his house. "I'm home!" He shouted. He was taking his shoes off as his sister poked her head around the corner.
"Grandpa said you tried to skip school with a lame excuse." Sakamoto closed his eyes for a second. His grandpa talked to much... He opened his eyes as he replied.
"I really wasn't feeling well, but he didn't find anything wrong with me. You know how crappy I feel right now?" He knew that no one would believe him, but this way he would be ignored, which will give him some alone time. His sister smiled and shook her head before pulling her head back around the corner, and Sakamoto walked up to his room.
"We're having Negitoro Sushi tonight, I'll shout when its done." Said his grandpa as he passed the kitchen. Sakamoto closed the door, dropped his bag, and flopped on his bed. That was one exhausting day, despite not really doing anything strenuous. I guess the world will have to forgive him, not freaking out when you find out that you're something called a 'Mystes', which is a special kind of 'torch' that has a 'treasure' inside it, is quite tiring, apparently.
Sakamoto sat there for a few minutes before being called down for supper. He ate silently, brooding over the day's events. 'I wonder if she needs to eat?' He thought absently, then realized that he could offer he some food. After all, one staying on one's roof could be considered a guest, right? "Hey, grandpa, could I take this upstairs? I wanna study while I eat." The old man glared at Sakamoto for a second, then nodded.
"Don't make a mess." He said, as Sakamoto stood up.
"I won't." He said as he left the room. He walked into his room and closed the door, then opened the window. There was no balcony or anything, and the roof projected out from the house several inches, but he could at least hand the plate up. "Hey, you up there?" He said, hoping that she could hear him.

Sorin lay looking at the sky on the roof.
"I wonder what it's like to have a sister," she said dreamily.
"I wouldn't know," her sword said.
"It was rhetorical," Sorin muttered slightly annoyed," he said he lived with his grandfather, what about his parents?"
"Well...," her sword said,"some people's parents die or some leave."
"How can a parent leave their children, I mean... Don't they love them?"
"Yes, well, I don't know but some leave because they can't look after their children," her sword replied.
"That's horrible," Sorin said.
"It's not that bad," her sword said.
"Not that you," Sorin said looking at her sword in horror," it's so weird when you're serious."
Her sword laughed and she smiled. She could sense a flame haze but they weren't any where near here about ten miles away. She lay back resting on the chimney.
Now she realised how tires she was. She closed her eyes and tried to stay awake.
After awhile she had fallen asleep.
She was woken up by the boy saying something. No, not boy Mystes. He wasn't a boy just a Mystes. She stood slowly. Then walked over to the edge of the roof an looked down.
"Hmm? What?" she said sleepily rubbing her eyes.
She looked at her sword.
"Why didn't you wake me?" She hissed.
"You deserve a sleep, it's not healthy for you you haven't sleep in days. Just because I'm annoying doesn't mean I don't care about you," it said.
She glared at it.
"Oh yeah," she said to the Mystes,"you know the torch in the school, you school. Tell me when it goes out. It wasn't bright to begin with so it should go out anytime soon. I could take its place." This meant she could keep an eye on the Mystes.

Sakamoto was baffled. "Take its place? She has a name, you know! I don't care that she won't exist in a few days, she exists now, so at least treat her with some respect." He almost asked then went back to the window. "So... Are you gonna stay on the roof all night? I got a bed down here, I can sleep on the floor." He usually ended up on the floor anyway, he's been rolling around in his sleep lately. He keeps having this weird dream that he can get anything he wants from around the world. He never actually keeps it, but sometimes, he wakes up with sand or dust on him, depending on where he was dreaming about. "Plus, I don't think that the roof is that comfortable..."

Sorin looked at the Mystes.
"No its not a she it's an it. It was a she but isn't anymore. Since it was consumed it became an it. And just because I call it an it doesn't mean I don't like it."
She looked up as looking down was hurting her neck.
"Comfort doesn't matter to Flame Haze," she said.
"I think you should, you could do with a good nights sleep," her sword said.
She groaned,"No," and walked off.
She sat back down. Strangely her sword was silent for once. She sighed then stood.
She walked to the edge of the roof and swung in through the window.
She yawned. Nice room. But she couldn't tell him that. Slipped her coat off and began to take her top then looked at his horrified face.
"If it bothers you so much turn around and don't look," she said plainly as her sword burst out in fits of laughter.

Sakamoto quickly turned around and sat down. "Could you please be quiet, I really don't want my grandfather or sister to hear some random laughter or a girl's voice up here... Don't wanna lie to them more then I have to. Not that he had much to lie to them about. Several seconds pass, and Sakamoto was putting his full focus on the floor. "So, uh... What exactly are you? An alien?" The alien part was to simply lighten the mood. He was pretty sure that she wasn't an alien. Besides, why would an alien need a talking sword?

Sorin slipped her clothes of so now that she was in her under wear. She grabbed her long coat and pulled it around her. Then she folded her clothes neatly an set them in a pile. She turned to the Mystes.
"Don't worry I don't really laugh much and I'm not very loud unless you annoy me," she said plainly but quietly. Then came the most stupid question Sorin had ever heard. Sorin never really heard sarcasm so she took it seriously.
"Of course I'm not an alien," she hissed,"my sword turned me into a flame haze, don't be so stupid."
She turned away growling. As her katana was doing its best to conceal its laughter.
"Night... Alien," it half whispered half laughed as she sheathed. Sorin shot an angry glare at the Mystes.

"I wasn't being that serious..." Sakamoto said, although he knew that is wasn't going to make things better for him. He felt the angry glare, and glanced back, seeing that she was modest. "Sorry if I offended you." He didn't know the Katana would respond in such a comical manner, but he was sure that she was going to have trouble getting it to stop calling her alien for a while. Sakamoto sighed, trying to get his thoughts under control and to focus on his questions. "I really don't know anything that is going on, so an explanation would be appreciated. Heck, I might be able to help you." He wasn't so sure that he could help that much, but he didn't like not knowing the game plan a little, even if he would be nothing more then, say, a king, that really couldn't do much, but still had to be protected. At least, he hoped that she would protect him from those... Rene things.

Sorin turned to the Mystes.
"I don't really care if you're serious or not," she muttered.
She yawned and stretched. She looked at the bed and grabbed a pillow and set it on the floor. She lay down and swiftly took her coat of and spread it over the top of her. She hoed the Mystes didn't see under it. She closed her eyes and sighed. Here we go.
"So as you know you're a torch like the girl in school. You're flame is brighter than the girls so I guess yours wasn't consumed that long ago and not much of yours is gone. Some torches have treasure tools in them. Treasure tools are something the torch contains that may allow it to have abities. Treasures are very valuable. Denizens send Rene's out get them. I was sent here to protect you from the Rene's and denizens," Sorin sighed,"there is no way you could help. Not without training," she yawned again,"well night."
She turned over and fell asleep quickly.

Sakamoto laid down on the pillow, listening to Sorin's explanation. He sat there for a minute afterward, processing what she said. He noted that her breathing slowed, meaning that she went to sleep. "Useless, huh?" He said, looking at his hand. He didn't want to be useless. He wanted to fight for himself, not to watch his life get determined by a battle between monsters and Flame Hazes. He stayed up a little longer, thinking, before falling asleep.

The next morning, Sakamoto opened his eyes, seeing his familiar ceiling. He realized that his pillow was under his head, and he looked at his bed. Seeing the girl there surprised him for a second, then he remembered yesterdays events. He looked, really looked, at her. She was actually kinda cute, especially while sleeping. He smiled, and stood up. No need to wake her. He opened the door and closed it carefully behind him, then walked down stairs to breakfast. He actually beat his alarm clock by a good thirty minutes, which was unusual. Grandpa looked up from the newspaper, surprised. "Well, aren't you early this morning." He said, getting up to make some eggs. "Can I eat them upstairs? I didn't get that much studying done..." Sakamoto then remembered that he never offered the food to her. She must be starving... "Hey, could you also make me extra? I feel pretty hungry this morning..." His grandfather looked at him, then shrugged, putting an extra egg in. "You can take it upstairs, but bring down the dishes. And when you do, bring down the other plate. I noticed that you didn't bring it down..." Sakamoto laughed a little, putting his hand behind his head.

When the eggs were done, Sakamoto walked upstairs, meeting his sister on her way down. "Why are you taking your food up so much? I hiding something...?" She was trying to be dark, but Sakamoto could see the amusement in her eyes. "Yes, I'm hiding bodies." His sister laughed, and they continued on their respective courses. Sakamoto opened the door to see that she was still sleeping, although now that he entered the room, he saw that she had shifted position under the jacket, and now a nice portion of her leg was exposed. 'If she woke up now...' Sakamoto quickly covered her leg with her jacket. He then sat in his desk, setting the eggs down and started eating a few. They were hard broiled, just the way Sakamoto liked his eggs. He ate one quarter and left the rest for her. He was looking at her face before he noticed the time. "The alarm..." he muttered, quickly running to it and smacking the off button just as it started. He then sat back down, looking at her face until she started waking up. "Morning." He waited for her to wake up a little before continuing. "I brought up some food, if you want some. He said, indicating the eggs.

Sorin awoke to the sound of an alarm being cut of. She slowly opened her eyes. She hadn't had a good sleep in days. Yawning, she sat up keeping the coat covering her. She looked around to find the Mystes looking at her.
"Mmm? Oh right, morning," she muttered. She wrapped the coat around her and stood stretching. She looked over to the eggs. They did look nice. It couldn't do any harm.
Sorin walked over to them and began eating. She had soon finished the whole plate. She whipped her hair out of her face.
"Turn around," she said to the Mystes.
She let her coat drop and grabbed her top and slipped it on. Then she pulled on her trousers and boots.
"Done," she muttered," I'll go outside while you get changed."
She swung herself out of the window and onto the roof.
"I'll wait outside for you to leave," she called quietly down.
She sat on the roof her legs hanging over the edge. She didn't feel like talking to her sword yet. She sighed an waited for the Mystes. There was something about him. She wanted to protect him. Not because it was her job but for another reason unknown to her.

Sakamoto nodded to Sorin as she swung herself out the window, then collected the plates and took them downstairs into the kitchen, where he put them in the sink. He went back upstairs and grabbed his bag and almost left the room before stopping and grabbing his bat, glove, and cap. It was the start of club activities today, and he couldn't forget his stuff for the baseball club. "I'm leaving, goodbye!" He shouted as he put his shoes on. His sister and grandfather shouted a goodbye back, and Sakamoto walked out the door. He walked out the yard then stepped behind the large stone fence that surrounded their yard, built by their grandfather years ago, and paused. He wasn't sure if Sorin wanted to walk with him or not. It would probably be best if she didn't. If someone else saw her, they might tell his friends, then they'd make a fuss over him. Sakamoto sighed. He forgot to think up an reason that doesn't sound like he's a lunatic! Sakamoto started thinking furiously, and quickly fabricated a lie that would suffice.

Sorin watched as the Mystes left the house and began walking. She jumped from the house roof down beside him. Then she remembered his friends. Sorin was pretty good at making up excuses. She looked at him.
"Hmm," she thought,"tell them that I'm your neighbour and your grandfather sent me to get you because you were supposed to be home early," she looked at his blank expression,"your friends," she said as she walked.
They continued on to the school. Sorin turned to the Mystes and nodded then jumped onto the nearest building. She looked down on the school seeing the torch for earlier. It was extremely dim. It would go out in about a few minuets. She waited patiently on the roof. Suddenly the torch flickered and went out. Sorin jumped off the building an headed to the class. She was now known as Izumi Aki. She walked into the class her hair now a black color and eyes brown. No one was there. She took out her sword.
"Hurry up and change me into the uniform," she hissed.
It didn't reply just did what she told it. She put her katana in its sheath then the sheath disappeared. She sat at the desk where Izumi would have sat. She took out the books that Izumi would have used.
Sorin, or Izumi now, looked straight ahead. Even when the Mystes came she didn't acknowledge him. She felt weird in this school uniform... Exposed. She watched as the teacher walked in. Sorin sighed and took out her books.

Sakamoto was walking when suddenly Sorin jumped down next to him. "Tell them that I'm your neighbor and your grandfather sent me to get you because you were supposed to be home early." He nodded.
"Thanks." As they approached the school, Sorin jumped up to a building. A few seconds later, as he turned into the school, someone tripped him. He looked up to see Akira, Fujiwara, and Okami standing over him.
"You got some explaining to do, buster!" Okami said.
"Calm down guys, she's just a neighbor who came to tell me that my grandfather wanted me home early." Fujiwara, who was looking somewhat worried before, suddenly brightened up, and turned to the other two.
"See, I told you that it was nothing!" She said happily. Akira looked like he wasn't convinced.
"So, why does she look like your drawing then?"
Sakamoto smiled. He already had a plan for that. "Sometimes we stop and talk a little, and lately I've been having some weird dreams. In them, she's something that runs around and fights monsters." The truth would seem so ridiculous to them, they should accept it as a dream. Akira looked satisfied, and helped Sakamoto get his stuff together.
"We'll be in class as soon as we're done putting stuff up." Akira said as they both made their way to the club room. Akira and Sakamoto were both in the same club for a long time now, but only last year did they really start hanging out, mostly because Akira wanted to get closer to Fujiwara. What ended up happening was that they ended up hanging out a lot more, then they really became friends. They finished putting the stuff up, then they walked to class. Sakamoto walked in and saw that the girl that was 'eaten', Izumi, wasn't there anymore. Instead, Sorin sat in the seat. Sakamoto stopped, then shook his head and continued. Akira noticed he was being wary of Izumi, and questioned him about it. "Aren't you guys friendly?"
"We are, just... I dunno. I had a weird feeling when I walked in. I just happened to be looking at her. Sorry." Sakamoto said, quickly thinking up a cover up.
"Oh, you need to see the nurse?" Akira said.
"Nah, I'm good. I'm done being weird now." Sakamoto said, putting on a fake smile. The teacher walked in, and class started. No one seemed to have noticed the sudden change in one person in the room.

Sorin kept her head down. She actually managed not to strangle the teacher. She had gotten through to lunch. She had finished early. She was extremely smart. She sat staring ahead caught in her thoughts. Then the lunch bell rang. She didn't bring lunch so she walked to get some cooked food.
Most of the food they sold she didn't like. She was a very fussy eater so she had to go with the option of just rice and chicken balls. She already had started picking at her food but she only managed to get a few grains of rice at a time. It was very hard to eat while she was moving. The chopsticks kept slipping out of her grasp.
She eventually made it to the class where she took a seat and began poking at her lunch. She glanced over to the Mystes once but other than that she just focused on her food.

Sakamoto sat, eating lunch with his friends. During lunch, everyone pushes several desks together and draws up some chairs. Everyone was eating when Akira made a comment. "We should invite Izumi to eat with us. She looks kinda lonely, eating by herself." Okami made fun of him, saying that he had a crush on her and stuff. They almost got into an argument when Fujiwara spoke up.
"I think that's a great idea." The two stopped and looked at her, then at Sakamoto, who shrugged.
"Great. Now, who's gonna invite her?" Akira has been in this situation enough times to know the drill. When everyone doesn't object to inviting a new person into their little group, it usually goes that no one actually wants to get up and talk to him/her.
Okami smiled evilly at Sakamoto. "I think he should go. After all, they are neighbors." Sakamoto made a mental note to get back at her in some way in the future.
Still... It probably would be best if he went and asked her. She was supposed to protect him, after all. "Okay..." He grumbled. Just because it made sense both in his mind and in real life didn't mean he wanted to do it. He got up and walked over to her. "Hey, Izumi." He said in a tone loud enough for everyone to hear, then he quieted down so that the others couldn't hear him well. "My friends noticed that you were eating alone, and now they want to ask if you would like to eat with them. He moved his head closer, so that he could whisper. "Honestly, this is kind of a test, to see if you would be a friend of theirs. He had no idea how she would react, but was hoping that she would come eat with them. That way would make things interesting, although they're probably gonna have to BS a quick story for them if they start asking questions.
