It has been over 50 years since the Humans first found about our kind. They call us the Dark Ones or Dark Creatures, or some stupid variation of "Dark" something. Sure there were always some humans in secret that knew about our kind, and as long as we've been around there have also been hunters. But this was different, now the whole world knew. All the humans, every country and politician put aside their petty differences to focus on the "new" threat... all of us. For them, it was a great time of international peace. But the war was not over. Instead of focusing their aggression against each other, it was now turned full force towards us.
Of course us Dark Creatures, being the stubborn pains in the asses we are, we didn't think anything of it at first. We just thought hey, now I can kill and do whatever the hell I want, when I want because the world already knows about me. But it wasn't that simple. We underestimated the Humans. They're smarter than we give them credit for. They started creating academies to train hunters and would capture us... experiment on us. For 40 years we waged in a non stop battle, but we were winning. We had the upper hand. That was until they created Dark Metal.
Dark Metal is a synthetic alloy engineered by a group of hand picked scientists from across the globe. This metal has properties in it that makes it capable to harm, injure and even kill any and all Dark Creatures. It was the new age of technology they called it. A way to finally end the war. Well... It worked. In no time with the newly trained masses of hunters and Dark Metal, our numbers began to shrink rapidly. Within the last decade our numbers have decreased to a fraction of their glory. And with no choice, the leaders of every surviving species decided to consolidate their numbers for their best chance at survival.
So here we are, Las Vegas... Sin city. The home of the lowest of the low. What better place to try and rebuild the darkness then where the darkness thrives in everyone.

"Glorious smog." Luca said with disgust as he exited the taxi onto the strip in the center of Vegas. He turned to look towards his sister as he held the door open for her while she slid across the back seat and stepped out onto the sidewalk. After she exited the cab, he leaned back in to hand the driver some cash then grabbed Georgy's backpack she forgot on the floor. Once the car drove off he stepped up beside his sister that was in awe of the city. He scoffed before holding out the backpack towards her
"What would you do without me?" She barely paid him any attention, pushing his hand out of her way as she stepped forward, leaning against a parking meter.
What the hell is so fascinating about this place? Luca sighed in aggravation, dropping the bag at her feet,
"Look Georgy I'm not your God damn pack mule!"That was what broke her silence, causing her to spin around and look at him with a menacing grin,
"Ah, come on! You don't want to change into a mule for me? If you asked nicely I'd even let you carry me around too." Luca wasn't amused, he stared at her with pursed lips and his arms crossed over his chest,
"Ya done?" He nodded his head in the direction they needed to head in. He didn't wait for her while she grabbed the backpack, throwing it over her shoulder before chasing after him.
"Luca!" She shouted after him, causing him to slow down slightly before she caught up.
"Look I just want to get there, ok?" Georgy groaned at him,
"What's your deal? This place is awesome!... Why can't we explore the city first before going down there?""You know I hate cities. And... People," Luca said as he glared at some woman that had the nerve to smile at him as they crossed paths.
"I want to be in Romania... Not Vegas." He said the word with such disgust that it made his sister move to move in front of him, making him stop dead in his tracks,
"What?" He rolled his eyes while he sighed, crossing his arms back over his chest once again, preparing himself for the unavoidable lecture that he was sure Georgy was preparing.
"Do you wanna go back to Romania? Because I mean we can. Yeah, let's go back to a country where we're no longer welcome and live out the oh..." She looked down at her wrist like she was checking the time,
"5 Minutes we'd survive there!" Luca sighed, she was shouting, and once you got her going she wouldn't stop. And that's all they needed was her to let slip what they were in the middle of the city. So before she could say another word, he clenched his jaw, grabbing her by the upper arm and leading her into an alley. But once they were away from prying ears, she started back up again like un-pausing a movie,
"We have no choice Luca! We barely have enough of us to make a pack anymore. Do you want to kill the rest of us off because you decided you didn't want to be in Vegas anymore?" When he didn't respond, she kept going,
"This is our best chance. With the others here we might be able to turn this... war around." He still wasn't convinced. He'd trade a city that never sleeps, species he can't stand and annoying drunk Humans for the forests of Romania any day.
"Maybe it is. But we don't need to be here to grow our numbers. We're not like Vampires or Demons who can turn someone or get someone to sell their soul. We have to repopulate and wait 15-18 years for them to mature and change for the first time." Georgy placed her hand on his chest, making a joke like she always did,
"Well I'm flattered. But your my brother... That's frowned upon in most societies." She followed it with a playful laugh. He just shook his head, but a slight smile tugged at his lips. After another moment of silence, she broke it once more
"Look at the bright side. People die here like all the time... So you can kill until your heart's content." Luca grinned, he liked that idea. He went to follow his sister who started to head back out to the street, but stopped to turn and look at him holding up a finger,
"As long as you don't attract Dark hunters."

Georgy knew her brother had absolutely no idea where they were going. He never seemed to have a clue what was going on, just usually followed her lead because she always did. But it didn't stop him from questioning her when they reached an entrance to a subway,
"So we're going from a city that smells like shit to a worse smelling subway? Seriously Georgy." She sighed with aggravation,
"Shut up and come on." She turned her back to him and stepped onto the escalator. Being the clumsy person she is she nearly miss the step which would have resulted in her rolling down the very long staircase, bumping into every person on the way down. But Luca knew how she was, and without a blink of an eye, he nonchalantly extended his hand, grabbing her by the backpack to keep her from falling.
"Why do I even worry that someone's going to kill you? You're just going to kill yourself."When they reached the bottom, the entire crowd of people went to the left but Georgy lead her brother right. They made their way through a dark corridor until they came to an "Authorized Personnel Only" marked door. Neither one of them had an issue when it came to breaking the rules, but they still had to check and make sure the coast was clear. Then she pulled a key out of her pocket, wiggling it in her brother's face first in a
Voila manner, before slipping it in the doorknob, twisting it and unlocking the door. They made their way down another long set of stairs, which obviously was starting to annoy Luca who piped up,
"There needs to be an elevator." Once at the bottom, they were faced with another door. Grinning Georgy put her hand on the door, turning to face her brother,
"Welcome to the Underworld!" She opened to the door to reveal an entire city that lived beneath Vegas. A city of 24/7 darkness. Perfect for all the supernaturals that inhabited it.
Georgy was surprised at how many others were down here. It gave her hope. Hope that maybe they had a chance to survive this. But in the grander scheme of things, this was just a small fraction of a civilization in comparison to the 7+ billion Humans above the surface. But each supernatural counted for at least 3 Humans... So that's a start right? Georgy didn't hesitate to wait around for her brother, fascinated by their new world, she wanted to explore, and maybe run into someone she knows. But contrary to what Georgy thought, Luca wasn't stupid either,
"Who are we looking for?" He said in a monotone voice, not really in the I-Spy mood.
"No one." She said with a mischievous grin.
"Yeah... Sure." He sighed while rolling his eyes.
