Cain is a very stubborn and strong man. He knows when to back down, but stands his ground for as long as he can. He's very protective when it comes to people he is close with, and would do anything to save anyone in the Armada, even if that means risking his own life. He strongly believes in what the Armada is doing, and makes himself useful as much as he can. He can be very sarcastic and witty, covering up his real emotions well. He's generally an easy going guy until he needs to be serious. He's very patient, taking his time with everything if he thinks it needs to be given time. He sticks with his instincts most of the time, though he follows the facts as well. He has a big heart, and cares for almost anyone he comes across unless it's the enemy. Then, he can become hard as a rock with a glare that could make anyone want to drop dead. He rarely lets his emotions get in the way of what needs to be done, and is usually very calm and collected. He's slow to anger, and also slow to cooling off when he gets angry. He's not someone you want to piss off and mess with.

Cain doesn't remember much of his escape from the Genesis facility, other than the fact that he was saved by another mutant. The girl had dragged him along with her through the forest, always stopping to help him when he collapsed. She had been his first friend. She had named herself Raina, and told him he looked like a Cain. So, he chose that for his name. They'd managed to find a small group that had been hiding out, since Raina had heard about it from another mutant on the inside. One that had escaped and been found, to be taken back. When they got there, the group accepted them with open arms when they proved their abilities, and that little rundown mill was a home for months. They didn't have any food or water, so they had to be careful as they roamed the streets to find food.

One night a few weeks after their escape, it had been Cain and Raina's turn to get the food. They crept around the streets, but unfortunately got caught by a Genesis worker that had been hunting around for escapees. Raina had been terribly injured after she killed the man, and Cain didn't know how to use his ability properly yet. He couldn't save her. From that day on, he had vowed to learn about his ability until he couldn't anymore, and control it completely. The group eventually broke off one by one, until Cain was the only one left. He was found by another mutant, and taken to the Armada exactly five months after his escape.

Six months later, he found Ariadne. She had been on the brink of dying from infected and mistreated wounds, and he had taken his time to heal her. It took a while to convince her to go to the Armada and he was relieved when she finally accepted. He is extremely protective of her, and treats her like a best friend. He has some feelings for her that exceed friendship, but he knows they aren't mutual, so he keeps them to himself.

So begins...
