Introduction

The night the Nighting family moved into the castle they had just bought, it was raining. The castle sat alone on a hill far away from the other houses in quaint little Sunnyville. They didn't notice anything was wrong the night they moved in. They removed the sheets that covered the furniture and the beds and went to sleep that night.
It started out with small things: a missing coin, an object moved when someone left the room and came back; nothing that anyone labeled a paranormal. That's how it started. It got worse as time went on and summer got closer. Beds became unmade after their teenage daughter made them at the begining of the day. Their son was pushed down the stairs. Lights would turn on in the middle of the night. And loud noises came from the forth floor.
The parents blamed this on natural causes. Maybe the youngest liked to jump on the bed. Their son must have tripped. There's a problem with the fuse box. It's an old house, it makes noises.
But then the day came when they couldn't ignore it anymore:
It was late at night. Everyone should have been asleep, but the 5-year-old was awake.
"Mommy! Mommy!" she cried and ran into her parents' room. She was sobbing.
"Honey, what is it?" the mother asked.
"Mommy, we need to leave. They want us to leave!" she sobbed.
"Who wants us to leave?" mother asked.
"The mist people! The mist people want us to leave! We have to leave right now!"
"Oh, baby, it was only a bad dream,"
"No..."
"Yes, now go back to sleep,"
"But they'll hurt me! They want me to stay with them forever!"
"Honey, go back to sleep," Mother fell asleep, but the 5-year-old shivered in her bed.
The next morning, they discovered something in the hallway and the wall:
LEAVE THIS PLACE!

They didn't leave right away, though.
And so they paid...
Their youngest daughter wouldn't leave. She started acting strange. She would snap at her mother and use very mature words and swears that she wouldn't know. She later claimed that she didn't remember any of this. Her mother got worried. Her father was scared and left the family. Her mother was the only one who was able to calm her and snap her out of her bizzare phases.
The teenage sister was in for a shock about a week later. She was able to see people in the house that only her sister could see too. These were the spirits of those who died in the house. They were ghosts in this world.
In their world they were different. The brother has the power to take himself and his sister to the demon world. Why? they need to get back their sister.
The lord of the demons has fallen in love with both the two sisters. In the demon world, both girls look older, but the youngest still acts like a little kid. She is kidnapped everytime she is possessed. She is allowed to go back to her child body whenever the king lets her, but she cannot leave the house.
The demons take the form of a misty ghost in the mortal world, but they try to attack the family and their friends. The mother, now a widow because her husband was strangely murdered after her left, has hiered a group of paranormal researchers and psychics to try to get the ghosts out, but anyone who enters is going to be trapped in the house and many will be killed.

Caroline found herself waking up from her spot on her daughter's bedroom floor she had her back up against their wall the two young girls having taken to sleeping together for comfort. Caroline hated herself she hadn't gotten the courage to tell the children that David was dead. William had guessed it by the way his mother had been acting, but as she knew the girls had not thought about it. "Oh David what happened to you", she said in her mind she could feel her tear begin again, trailing down the sides of her cheeks. Quickly wiping them away she stood up and walked over to the bed, "Alright baby girls time to get up", she said as she sat on the edge of the bed brushing strands of hair out out Anna's eyes it felt like not to long ago, Anna had been Moris's age. But now she was growing up into a gorgeous young woman, who would soon be going to proms and first dates. This made Caroline's heart break a girl her age should be worrying about if some boy thinks she's pretty of not, not whether she was going to survive the night being haunted. And her little Moris her surprise baby so small and innocent and her mother and father not even believing her. It tore her apart knowing she hadn't listened to Moris she had chalked it up to a little girls bad dreams, now she knew how terribly wrong she had been.

Will stood at the sink in the kitchen, he had put on a pot of coffee cause he knew his mother would need it, she had spent another night keeping watch over his sisters. And he knew that she didn't get very good sleep sitting on the floor. He knew he wasn't he looked down at his cast left arm, whatever the hell it was had picked him up like a doll and tossed him over the side banister of the stairs. If he had landed wrong he could have broke his neck but by the grace of God he landed on his arm. He heard footfalls coming down and looked up at the tired sad face of his mother. It hurt him to see her like this she had lost the man she loved, and her daughters kept being taken into an evil world slowly slipping away each time they crossed over. What he had failed to inform his mother was that when he was thrown from the stairs, he had also crossed into this world as well. But if he had to forfeit his life and soul for his sisters he would, what ever it was there was no way in hell he was going to let them take his baby sisters.

Caroline looked at her son Will as he sipped some coffee, she looked at the cast on his arm and it gave her goose flesh up and down her arms. "Morning mom", said Will with his half cocked smile, she smiled back "Mornin son", said Caroline. She walked up and poured herself a cup with a sigh, "I'm calling that Paranormal team Will after what happened to you and..." she paused for a moment and then she felt a strong hand on her shoulder. "Mom it'll be all right what ever it is I wont leave like dad did. I promise you they'll have to do something a little more drastic than throw me around to get rid of me. But mom you need to tell the girls about dad, the lounger you wait the harder it going to be and I'll be there with you the whole way alright", he said in his deep smooth voice. The voice of a strong, good young man that would make someone a wonderful husband and father some day. She turned and wrapped her arm around Will's neck, and sobbed into his shoulder, "Oh Will what are we going to do"?

He put his good arm around her shoulders his mom was so much shorter than him and so tiny compared to him. He remembered when she was the biggest person he knew and felt that nothing would stop her not even the boogie man. But now he knew that the boogie man was real and it wasn't a good idea to cross him. He helped his mother to sit at the table she was so fragile he didn't say a word just led her to the chair pulled it out and pushed down gently on her shoulder. As she sat he pushed the chair in sliding her up to the table. He then started breakfast, scrambled eggs toast and ham.

Moris eyes fluttered open looking at her big sister smiling really big,"Good morning Ana!" She nearly jummped out of bed,"I am up and ready.." She ran out the room and into the kitchen jumping up and down for no reason at all. "Will.." She smiled big at him. She thought her big brother was really cool. He always reminds her of Daddy, every since her daddy was gone he been acting just like him. Not really understanding why he was gone. "Oh Will~!" Sometimes she could be an annoying brat, but she didnt care really."Hey!" She waved her hand trying to get his attention, when he probably was already paying attention. Then she turned to where mommy was at,"Hey mommy! Why you look so tired, huh?" She said as she was climbing on to her lap,"Well im not tired! Im like the road runner! Beep beep!" She laughed and smelled breakfast. Sniffing the air,"What smells so yummy!" She closed her eyes liking the smell of eggs, which was her favorite thing to eat at breakfast.

She has been seeing scary mist people a lot more lately. They told her to leave, and when she told mommy... She didnt believe her, all she told was that it was just a dream and go back to bed. When she did all she could see was white misty shadows staring at her. One time she had seen a girl in the bathroom mirror, she never goes in that bathroom downstairs. Moris doesnt know how the girl look because she was just so scared her eyes were burning. But she started to feel angry for some reason, she felt like getting revenge for something. She started to twitched a little when she saw some thing run down the hallway. That scared her and everytime some thing scares her she twitches..

Moris visted this other world once she thought that it was just a dream but it wasnt. There were ghost everywhere telling her that they want her to stay there with her but, she told them she wanted her mommy back. They let her go back, she didnt really know who she was. Well because her body changed a lot and she was taller too. She wore a dress as well and she really liked dresses..

Payne is the Demon Lord. Every ghost obeys him, but he only orders the ones who are cruel enough to do terrible things to, well, do terrible things. The others he wants to just cause trouble in the castle. One thing that has been ordered of every ghost is, no matter what, do not let the Nighting family move out he also wants them to frighten anyone they have over, but not hurt any of them because things could get worse.

Meanwhile, some of the other spirits have been talking to the sisters, who are the only ones who can see them when they try to appear invisable to everyone else. Some are actually quite pleasants and friendly. Many are just lonely. But, being ghosts, they carry negative emotions and make mortals fear them.

Bliss sat in the swirling wasteland of the demon realm. She sang an old song about murder an ghosts. It was one of the things she did. She knew that she would be in the Demon world for as long as she wanted, but could leave any time as her soul was at peace. But, of course, she didn't want to do that. She was too loyal to Payne.

Payne respected Bliss. Not much though. She had a cruel heart and would do whatever he wanted. Right now, he job was to observe. As long as one spirit was around, he would know everything that was going on in the castle. That was Bliss's mission at the moment. And she wasted no time in getting there. Bliss teleported herself to the mortal world and appeared in her normal, misty form to Anna.

"Good morning, Anna!" she said cheerfully. At the moment, only Anna could see and hear her. She had spoken to Anna before and something she liked to do in the morning was wake her (and Moris sometimes) up after their mother left.

The sleepy teenager had felt the strands of her dark blonde hair being lightly pushed back from her face. She had heard a voice speak but as soon as she felt this presence gone, her mother, she had turned over with a sigh and burried her head under her pillow. She didn't hear anything else for a few moments before her youger sister Moris was jumping off the bed with " Good morning Anna," on her lips as she rushed from the bedroom.

After her sister had left, Anna felt the spirit appear. Knowing exactly who it was, Anna sighed but sat up and shifted her pillow to the side. Her straight hair looked to be only slightly rumpled while her light coloured skin appeared to be slightly flushed. The teenage girl slowly pushed herself off the bed, with a slight nod at the misty ghost, and walked to the dresser in a slight daze. She looked into the mirror at herself in her black shorts and green tank top that matched her eye colour with her pale eyes full of exhaustion. Then she caught sight of Bliss in the mirror, behind her and over by the bed more.

" Good morning," Anna said as she hid a small yawn behind her hand. She blinked before picking up her brush and quickly running it through her hair and pulling it up into a messy bun, leaving a few strands down to frame her pale face and eyes. As soon as her hair was out of the way she turned to face the spirit, her expression as calm and unreadable as ever as she realized she was alone if not for Bliss; but her mother couldn't see her now, could she?

"Now, Anna, at least pretend to be happy to see me!" Bliss laughed, "or frightened, or surprised, or upset, or something! Girls your age don't normally talk to ghosts or see them for that matter! You she act like...well, like you've seen a ghost!" She floated over to Anna and took the brush in her pale, misty hand. She brushed out Anna's hair softly. In the mirror, she didn't appear. Only a floating brush stroking Anna's hair was seen. That's what anyone else would see if they walked in right now. But knowing the people in this house, they wouldn't really be too surprised.

"Look at that pretty face. Anna, why don't you have any friends? If you have some, why haven't they been over here?" She smiled and put the brush down, "I'd like to meet them, you know!" she had and evil look in her eye at the thought, "But, enough of that," she opened the door for her, "go have breakfast with your family!...While you can..."

Bliss then disappeared. At least to another part of the house. She appeared in a bathroom where Moris was scared out of by one of the spirits in the mirror. She hooped up onto the counter in front of the mirror. She knocked on the glass. "Hello? Anyone home?" she mused to it. Luckily, being a ghost, no one (with the acception of the sisters) could see or hear her.

Anna laughed slightly, hardly a laugh but more of a sigh. " Funny," She murmured, " I thought you were a ghost.."

When Bliss commented about her pretty face and lack of friends, she just stared with her pale green eyes into her reflection. Nevermind the fact she would be the only person to see the spirit behind her, she ignored this and continued her blank stare at herself. Before the woman disappeared she opened the door for Anna and spoke, " ... Go have breakfast with your family! ... While you can.."

Anna nodded as the apparition disappeared, only guessing where she had gone. Moris.

" Alright then," Anna said to the now empty room as she slowly walked out the door and made her way down the stairs. She tried to ignore the fact that she was completely alone, no spirits or humans near her. She made sure that once she got to the stairs she was walking much faster until she reached the kitchen and quietly leaned against the door frame. Anna now preferred to be in others' company but never too close anymore; unless it was with Moris.

As usual, she stayed completely silent and kept her green eyed gaze fixed on a point above her mother and brothers heads. She had taken to not being able to look them in the eye very well lately.

Caroline watched with worry as her daughter came down the stairs, she didn't look any of them in the eyes. She knew it was because of all the crazy stuff started happening. As the girls sat down to breakfast she sighed, "Girls, I really need to tell you....", Will came up behind his mother and put his hands on her shoulders, "You can do it mom", he said trying to encourage her. Caroline could feel tears start to well up in her eyes her baby in her lap her son behind her and her daughter, who barely talked to anyone but ghosts. "Girls Daddy's not coming back.... something bad happened and... he..." she clutched Moris to her chest. As tears started to poor down her face once again, "He's... he's... de...ad".

Will wrapped his arm around Moris and his mother, "Its okay Daddy's in a better place now, and some day we'll all be with him again", he broke the embrace with his mother and went over to Anna. "Sis you gonna be okay, you want to talk about it?".

Anna stood up straight, no longer leaning against the doorframe or anything for that matter. Her pale green gaze shifted to stare at her brother, the calm in them hadn't left with the news but, if it was possible, her eye became a little more guarded. More cautious, cold. She was completely shocked, she wanted to cry, but hid this as easily as she had been doing lately and merely nodded at Will. A nod that could mean anything; she wanted to convey her real feelings but managed to still keep herself distant.

Moments. That's how long it had been but she found she needed to look away from her brother's concerned brown eyes, instead staring down at the hardwood floor. She considered going to her mother, comforting the woman who had just lost her husband. Her own father. But she just couldn't do it, she felt as though she would fall apart if she even tried. Anna couldn't comfort anyone. She didn't know what to do, how to make someone feel better. Not when she felt the same.

" No." She murmured, her verbal response extremely delayed by her internal struggles to refrain from speaking.

Mary heared a knock on the glass in the bathroom. She heard a familiar voice. She walked in front of the mirror bloody and holding a knife,"Hello, Bliss what are you here for." She had no expression on her face. Mary always spoke in a very calm way, but that is only when she is sad and happy. She only smiles when she is angry and most of the time she is angry. But right now she is sad very, very sad...

Moris almost feel off of her mommas lap."Y-your kidding me right mommy. It really is true then.." When she had seen tears in her mothers eyes all she could do was jump off her lap and run outside. She felt tears running down her eyes but she wasnt crying. Sitting down on the porch she looked around. There were a few ghost outside not as much as the ghost inside though. Moris heart felt like it had been torn apart. She didnt know that much about dieing but she knew that meant losing a life. Her Daddy lost his life and now he's dead! She wasnt crying but she still was feeling tears running down her cheeks.

#, as written by Seraph
"So remember, if you have a ghost or a poltergeist, call the number below on the screen" Michael said, staring into the teleprompter.

The camera shooting him was switched off and he finally could loosen his tie that felt more like a noose by then. He let a sigh out and stared around himself, feeling the presence of many spirits and not just one or two. Eastern State Penitentiary, a former American prison in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Operational from 1829 until 1971. The penitentiary refined the revolutionary system of separate incarceration first pioneered at the Walnut Street Jail which emphasized principles of reform rather than punishment. Notorious criminals such as bank robber Willie Sutton and Al Capone were held inside its unique wagon wheel design. When the building was erected it was the largest and most expensive public structure ever constructed, quickly becoming a model for more than 300 prisons worldwide. The prison now was currently a U.S. National Historic Landmark, which is open to the public as a museum for tours seven days a week, twelve months a year 10 am to 5 pm.

The conditions at Eastern State Penitentiary were horrible at best. Prisoners were locked in their cell for all but an hour a day. Their cells consisted of a toilet, table, bunk and Bible. During their hour outside the cell, prisoners had to wear a black hood over their heads and forbidden to have any form of communication with other prisoners. Even with threats of brutal punishments, prisoners would tap on pipes and whisper through open vents just for a chance to interact with other human beings.

One of the inhumane punishments was the water bath, where prisoners were dunked in a bath of cold water and hung from the wall overnight, layers of ice would form on the body during winter months. The mad chair was another punishment where prisoners were strapped to a chair so tight that there could be no movement for days without food. The iron gag was another punishment particularly used for disobeying the no communication rule. An iron collar was attached to the tongue and then chained to his wrist which would be tied high behind his back. Any movement brought extreme pain and the risk of tearing off the tongue resulting in some prisoners bleeding to death.

The haunting of Eastern State Penitentiary had started well before it was even closed. One of its most famous prisoners was Al Capone in 1929. Capone swore that he was haunted by a victim of the St. Valentine’s Day massacre James Clark. It has been reported that Capone would yell nightly for Jimmy to let him be. A locksmith named Gary Johnson was one of the most widely told ghost story coming out of the prison. It was during the restoration and Johnson was working on a cell door trying to remove an old lock in Cell Block #4. According to Johnson, when the lock was removed a force came over him so strong he could not move. Tormented faces appeared in the cell, ghostly swirls spun around and one form seemed to draw the locksmith to it.

Anna sighed as the little girl raced past her out the doorway with tears running down her cheeks. The teenager watching her sister with her pale green eyes seemingly blank before she turned to look at Caroline and Will, her eyes gaining some emotion and appearing to be a cross between angry and heartbroken. Her first actual display of emotion to her family in days.

She shook her head slowly, her pale face somehow seeming even more white as she stared at her mother and brother with a calm expression on her features. A few moments of this she finally entered the room fully, ignoring her brother as she moved to sit at the table. For a fleeting moment she considered going after Moris but decided against it. She didn't know what the little girl would do and how she would react, especially with the unpredicatble spirits that hung around them both lately.

Anna clasped her hands and placed them on the table in front of her, her calm expression never faltering as she kept her gaze on her mother. Most likely unnerving the woman by now, she assumed, but she didn't really care at the moment. As usual, she said nothing as she tried to make up for her slip of the tongue from before. When surprise had somehow allowed her vocal chords to work.

(This is a colaberation between Seraph and I)

Caroline looked over at her daughter who had sat down at the table, she was tired of seeing her daughter like this, tired of the fear, she had to do something. β€œI'm gonna do something about this Anna I promise”, she went over to the phone and dialed the number that she had seen on TV a few days before. It was one of those late night when Caroline hadn't been able to sleep. Amidst the infomercials and old sitcoms, there was this advertisement for a TV show about a paranormal team that came and did investigations and tried to help the people with their ghost problems. Caroline had scrambled throughout the room for a pen and paper to write to write the number down. Eventually all she had been able to find was one of Moris's crayons and an old envelope. But Caroline didn't care the only thing she was thinking about was getting help for her children. She sighed as the other end of the line picked up,

β€œHello my name is Caroline Nighting It kind of a long story but I think my house might be haunted”, she said to the person on the other line.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Michael sighed, another long night had awaited him when he got back from Pennsylvania. A stack of papers, mounds of vanilla colored files--books galore. His office looked more like a library than an office. Not exactly the kind of place you'd show off to mom or a new girl. They might be overwhelmed and run out the door screaming for help.
The house itself was a two-story frame home on a brick foundation topped by a gambrel roof. The west (front) facade has four bays on the first floor behind a wraparound veranda and three on the second. Projecting bays at the rear of either side have smaller gambrel roofs. It is sided in clapboard to the roofline, then in shingles within the gambrels, except in the rear where the clapboard continues to the top. All the gambrels contain one window, with the west facade's Palladian-style one being the most elaborate. The porch columns are the original woodwork, tapered and turned; a simple balustrade connects them. Much of the interior is also original, including the oak staircase in the entrance hall and a marbleized mantelpiece in the parlor. The upper floor and attic are finished, and were used as bedrooms and servants' quarters originally.There are several outbuildings, all considered contributing resources to the historic character of the property. A large clapboard garden shed with frontal cross-gable was built along with the house and follows its general design and decoration.
Michael ran a complete hand over his entire face, trying to keep awake. He then reached down, and opened the bottom drawer of his desk and pulled out a bottle of Jack Daniels. Truth be told, he was never really the get drunk guy. Oh, he loved to drink alright. He could polish off a fifth like no one's business. But he was never the get drunk guy. Even the fifth of J.D wouldn't but give him a good buzz and that was if he had drank it all at once. No sooner had he poured himself a glass of the amber aged bourbon did the phone ring.
Hello my name is Caroline Nighting It kind of a long story but I think my house might be haunted”, she said to the person on the other line.
He sat up for this, already she had perked his attentiveness. Now, not only would he not have to do paper work, he would get to experience activity perhaps. "Uh huh, what's your address and what kind of activity have you seen?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caroline went into the study and closed the door behind her, she got an aggravated vibe from Mr Newman, she sighed and told him what state and the actual address. β€œWe have always experienced something paranormal in our lives, especially from my daughter Anna. When she was really young she would tell me stories about talking to my Grandmother who died long before she was born”, she collected her thoughts and continued. β€œWe moved to Sunnyville a few months ago, at first it was small things objects being moved to odd places; but my husband and I just brushed it off because we have a curious five year old. As time went on and summer came around things began to escalate, my teenage daughter would do her chores, making the beds then coming right back in and all the beds were unmade”. She could feel her anxiety building, her breath began to quicken as her fear and frustration began to build,

β€œThen the loud noises from the fourth floor, the lights coming on in the middle of the night. Still my husband and I blew it off as an old house settling or the house needed knew wiring”. She could feel tears begin to well up in her eyes, β€œThen my son got thrown off the stairs, at first I thought he had just tripped but that didn't explain why he went over the top of the banister. If he had just tripped he would have just went down the stairs but he didn't, thank God he landed on his arm or he could have...”, tears started to roll down her cheeks. But then the night came when we couldn't ignore it anymore. Everyone should have been asleep, but my 5-year-old Moris was awake. She came into our room crying, telling us the mist people wanted us to leave. She kept on insisting on it and I just told her it was a bad dream and to go back to bed. Caroline was sobbing herself now feeling so guilty for not believing her little girl. She could still her pleading "But they'll hurt me! They want me to stay with them forever!". β€œI went back to sleep and she must have been terrified all night long. The next morning, we discovered something written on the wall in the hallway LEAVE THIS PLACE!”, she was shaking now.

β€œBut we couldn't leave we had put everything we had into this house, then my youngest started acting strange. She would use vulgar language, scream fight with us, it frightened my husband so much he left. I was the only one that could snap her out of it and then she wouldn't remember a thing”. Caroline slid down the door to the floor and put her legs under her chin, β€œThen Anna my teenage daughter, just shut down and wouldn't talk to us and barely left her room. Now I... I... found out that... my.... hus...bband is dead. They don't know what happened other than he was murdered”. She broke down at that point with the phone still at her ear she didn't even know if he was still on the other line after all of that. But Caroline didn't care even if he did hang up she had to get off her chest, she just sobbed and curled up onto the floor.

At Caroline's words Anna did nothing but raise her eyebrow at her mother, almost as if she would say 'Try it and we'll see what happens.' If she had spoken that would have been what she would say but, of course, she wasn't going to speak. Not at that moment, at least.

She calmly watched her mother dial a number and introduce herself and briefly state the problems going on in the house. Then Caroline left the room with the phone at her ear, walking into the study.

Once her mother was out of the room, Anna's calm pale eyes immediately went to Will. They seemed to shoot questions at him before she gave up and voiced them.

" What now?" Anna asked quietly, her calmness seeming shaky. " What if everything gets worse from now on?" The calm faded from her expression and became a little scared, only a little. She still wasn't comfortable showing much emotion to anyone anymore but obviously things were changing with her fathers death.

Will sighed and looked at his sister, "I don't know Sis but we've got to try something its obvious that if you leave you die, if you stay you die. I don't mean to sound so blunt but that's it, frankly Anna we're damned if we do damned if we don't. Moms just trying to do something Anna she loves us that she would give up her life, you know that she's not Dad she not gonna just run off cause she's scared". Will had to admit he was a little resentful to his father for leaving when they needed him most. But he also understood his father's fear, it was all so confusing to him. He went up to his sister "I'm sorry Anna I shouldn't have said that, Dad was a great man he just didn't know what to do anymore".

""Uh huh..""Michael uttered without really thinking of the implications, his brain just simply worked with facts first. It really wasn't as insincere as it may have sounded to her on the other end.

Quickly Michael jotted down the address, the states name, even the city.He then sat his pen down and rubbed his forehead with the pads of his fingers as he followed along with the woman on the other line. Listening as she gradually gave into her tumultuous emotions. He began to flip through pages in his tomes; mythology, even religious contexts. He wondered, at first why this woman wouldn't just abandon this homestead. However when she had told him of her husbands recent departure, he felt guilty
.

""Miss Caroline, I know it must be an extremely difficult time for you. But please, take comfort that you and your children are safe for now. I would like to conduct a full scale investigation, would that be alright? before you answer, know that I will need to stay the night at your place of residence. I understand that not everyone finds that an amicable agreement, I like my privacy myself.""He sighed, taking off his reading glasses and lightly tossing them down on the desk.

""I'm sorry...Miss Caroline, about your husband and more so for your family as a whole."" He said quietly, in soft voice. He was trying to console her, trying to get her to become once again, more stable. He felt kinda awkward, truthfully. While he was always personable to everyone, but he was reclusive and quiet unless the moment called for him to take a more direct route. But helping people was what he was all about. It was why he joined the Army, and why now he was in paranormal investigation.

Caroline's eyes grew more clouded with tears when she heard his quiet understanding voice come over the phone. She thought her son and daughter's β€œThis just might work”, she thought. They might be able to get out of this mess alive. And finally be able to properly grieve their father, and get out of this God forsaken house and try to live some semblance of a normal life again.

"I'm sorry...Miss Caroline, about your husband and more so for your family as a whole."

β€œYes please come I don't know what else to do I'm at my wits end, I just want to protect my children. Thank you so much for understanding, it's hard to ask for help with something like this most of the time they just think your crazy. I was beginning to think that maybe I was, that this was all in my head and I would wake up from this horrible nightmare. But my biggest concern is my children, the evil in this house is trying to take my babies away from me and it will get them over my dead body. Unfortunately I think that’s what it's plan is, when do you think you can be here?”, she asked, hoping he'd be here soon.

" Oh.." Anna murmured in response to her brother, glancing down to her hands that lay on the table. She had unclasped them and now they were fists, she could feel her nails digging into her palms at Will's words. Will being ever so honest.

She breathed in sharply at the slight pain in her hands as she pulled them to rest on her lap. Her eyes followed them for only a moment before her pale green gaze flickered over every object in the room as though something might come flying at her. When her brother walked closer to her, she didn't mean to but, she flinched. An involuntary reaction, something she couldn't have done anything t prevent considering the circumstances around the place lately.

"Well, I can come sooner once I find out where my assistant Danielle went. I'm afraid she's still young, she's so full of life and energy."Michael chuckled a bit. "But I will certainly take this case and make it a priority, miss Caroline. Thank-you for obliging me with your concerns, I'll let you know once I have spoken to miss Leiber if she will be accompanying me or not. Try and have a good night for now, I know that may be easier said than done, I can say that because of experience. I am truly sorry for your loss, and I'll see to it that you don't experience another. Goodnight miss Caroline." He said softly and soothingly, hanging up the phone.

Sighing, as he didn't know quite else what to do. He ran a hand over his mouth, and then checked his wrist watch. He then fished through each of his coat and pant pockets until he found what he was looking for. His cellular phone. It was a slim model type, touch screen. He noticed he had a call from Danielle. "Must've been from earlier.." He thought aloud before listening to it. He then returned her call and got her voicemail now.

"Yes, Danielle? This Is Mike, I got a new case for us to investigate. It seems...troublesome, a lot of activity here. Even dangerous poltergeist-type stuff. Call me back when you get this."

Danielle walked back into the room with a bowl of grapes in hand. She put the bowl on the table next to her phone and sat down in the chair. As she popped a grape into her mouth, she noticed that she had a missed call on her phone. She quickly checked to see who it was and cursed.

"Oops. Damn it." she said.

She listened to the voice mail and had to debt of whether she wanted to do it or not.

"Poltergeist?," she thought.

She had never dealt with anything that bad. It sounded like a haunting from a horror movie.

"Lots of activity? How bad is this going to get," she thought again.

She was okay with ghosts, but she had never had to deal with a poltergeist. Ghosts being able to move things was a freaky thought. She glancedat her phone again and turned the volume on. That must have been why she didn't hear it in the first place. She quickly dialed Mike's number.

"Hello?"

Michael shot up out of bed, hazy eyed and looking around his dark, condo. He heard a noise. He knew he did. Scratching his head, as nothing seemed apparent. Then he looked down at his phone. He lifted to eye level, and even then he got closer to see who was calling this late. Ah. It was Danielle. Blinking his grogginess away, he clicked 'answer and lifted the phone to his ear to listen.

"Yeah?" He said tiredly, yawning. He refused to open his eyes. As a matter of fact, he laid back down on his cushion pillows as he talked.

Danielle sighed.

"Sorry for calling so late. I just got your voicemail." she said.

She glanced at her bowl of grapes on the table next to her. They didn't seem as appetizing as they did a minute ago. She was still takng in the idea that she would have to deal with a poltergeist. Ghosts were something that she had just learned to deal with, however, she had no experience at all with poltergeists.

"Mike, did you really say something about poltergeists?" she asked.

Caroline got off the phone, she was in shock but happy to hear someone was willing to help. She tried to make sure her eyes were at least dry before she went back out. She took a deep breath and stepped back into the kitchen. It looked as though Will and Anna might have been arguing, she hoped they hadn't. "Someone's coming to help a paranormal investigator and his assitant. Their going to be doing an investigation here at the house, that means will probably have some tough times coming, but maybe they can help us", with that she went out to find Moris. She didn't like her to be by herself to long, as she opened the front door and stepped out onto the porch, she looked around the front yard "Moris, where are you?", she called out. ((sorry I haven't been on in a while I've been up and down with my pregnancy so I'm trying to catch up))

Anna's eyes grew wide at her mother's words and her green gaze came to rest back on Will as Caroline walked off to find her youngest daughter. The teenage girl laughed, bitter and nervous laughter, before she spoke. Her eyes were completely serious as she stared at him pointedly for a moment. Her words seemed drift into the air and hung there for another few moments.

" They won't be happy."

With that said, she stood and walked out of the kitchen with her nails digging into her palms as she kept her hands at her sides. Anna hadn't really wanted to leave the room, to be alone, but she figured it was better than speaking more than she had to. She always said more than she needed with Will, he was her older brother after all and she trusted him with so much. Or she had before all this 'ghost stuff' started happening, now she didn't know who to trust or how.
