The Deerfield Academy for exceptional young people is a fairly typical boarding school — that is, if every school’s general education teaches advanced martial arts in PE, chemistry always consists of the latest in chemical warfare, and everyone breaks codes for extra credit in computer class. So in truth, while the Deerfield Collegiate Academy might say it’s a school for geniuses, what they really mean is spies.

You were MEANT for this. Your high school was always a leeway to Deerfield Academy, and though your parents may have not known it, instead of talks of Prom, there were talks about who had the biggest explosion in physics. Martial arts and sword fighting for PE? Beating out the navy’s ability to hold their breath under water during swim? Learning the latest driving moves from the speed movies at driver’s ed? Breaking into the police's database to see which of your teachers had a record? All of that is nothing new to you. You did that all through high school, and you’re ready to do it all through your college career as well.

Or maybe you weren’t even aware of this. Perhaps you didn’t go to an espionage preparatory high school. Maybe you were offered a spot, but your parents didn’t have the money. Maybe in middle school you just weren't good enough. Maybe, your parents were in the business but didn’t want you in the business. Perhaps you bloomed in high school, like no one expected.

This is not an easy to place to be, the pressure on your shoulder can never be fully relieved (though, the spa makes a great attempt). You have a lot to live up to, so you better make some friends before the upcoming year becomes awful.
