Age: 19
Sex: Male
Supernatural abilities: Kyle has the ability to create, control and manipulate ice. He has learned to pull together the water in the air and freeze it into ice crystals. He can do little things like making it snow, or large things like creating armor and almost unbreakable weapons out of ice.
He has also learned how he can continue using a broken limb, or ignore a wound by covering and holding it together with ice. If he obtains a wound he will freeze it over, it will go numb and he will continue with what he was doing. If he breaks a bone he will use ice to put the limb in place, hold it together, and strengthen it so he can continue his actions.
Through his stronger ability he has small control over water. He is not as skilled with this and it takes much concentration for him to do so. At most he can pull the water together from the air and direct it at something with small force, he has also made it rain in order for there to be more water in the air.
Strengths: Kyle is strong willed and very determined. He will continue at something untill he has hurt himself or it is proven to be impossible.
Weaknesses: He is very cold to others. He tends to stick to himself and push others away with his cold nature. He also has a bad temper. He will not just get frustrated and mad, he will become furious and pissed off.
He cannot stand fire. It burns the water in the air and renders him almost useless.
Fears: He fears one day that if he is hit too hard, like ice, he will shatter. He also is scared that with his hot temper, he will melt himself.
Physical description:
He stands at five foot eight, his shaggy locks of blonde hair falling across his face. Underneath the strands of hair are his piercing electric blue eyes that would send a chill down anyone’s spine from his ice cold stare.
From his close interconnection with ice, his skin, the air around him, and the objects he touches, are several degrees colder than they should be. He will most likely never get cold, or have any issues related with the body getting too cold.
Personality traits: Kyle can be a very determined person. When he has his mind set on doing something, he will not stop untill he has achieved his goal, he has hurt himself to where he cannot continue, or it has be proven to him that it is not possible in any way. Which he will continue to think of a way to do it.
He has a very hot temper which he has issues controling. He has the extreme emotions, he will be furious to the point of the whole room freexing over, or depressed to where he is crying droplets of ice. That part is rarely seen however as he hides that part of him and prefers to hide it behind his anger and cold comments.
Being so connected with ice he has become a cold person. He rarely shows sympathy and seems to have no feelings besides anger. This is probably because he feels that his heart is encased in ice, it has gone numb and he has almost no great feelings for the people around him. He constantly pushes people away. He is always cold both physically and through his words, most leave him alone and avoid him.
History: Kyle was born in the same town he grew up in, a small town in southern California. He is the youngest of three boys; his two older brothers would pick on him constantly and blame anything that went wrong, on him. His father was an alcoholic and his mother was always working and rarely came home. Because of his brothers, he was the target of his mother’s rants and the victim of his father’s abuse. His father would go in a drunken rage every few days and went to the easiest and most accessible punching bag. To avoid this, he spent a lot of time on the streets, learning things he couldn’t in school, like how to fight.
He didn’t entirely notice his ability until others started commenting on how cold the air around him always was. How whenever he got mad things around him would be left with a small coating of frost. He started avoiding people because of the comments, and people avoided him because of the cold. All that didn’t help with his temper problem….
He got through high school, then packed up his bags and left without a backwards glance. He didn’t like being in the same town where everyone was constantly asking him about the cold.
By now he had learned some of what he could do with ice. Mainly he had figured out how to seal a wound and hold together a broken bone. He had experimented with weapons and could form small blades.
For the past year he had been going from city to city, skipping town when someone started asking questions. He made no ties to the people or the places, and always made sure he had enough cash with him in order to pay for a place to live.
For the last week he had notice a few men, he could tell they were part of the same group; by the way they carried themselves and the nice suits they wore. But he saw at least three a day, not knowing what they wanted, he skipped town again trying to lose them.
Day of captivity: February 14: It started out like a normal day. Kyle woke in the small apartment, the one he had paid for last night. He got up off the ratty couch and went over to his bag that he had dumped by the door the moment he got into the room. He dug through his bag looking for clean clothes and finally found some that he hadn’t worn that week. He pulled on one of his shirts and a pair of well worn jeans then headed out. He had to go job hunting again, which was the only part of moving that he hated. It always took him several tries to finally get a job somewhere. It was mainly due to him only finishing high school and not going to college. But it wasn’t like he could; he moved too much and he wouldn’t be able to commit to college classes.
He was looking around the small stores that he knew would most likely let him work. After applying in a few different places, he had noticed a few men fallowing him. They were the same men he had seen in the last town. They were the reason he skipped town again, he didn’t like them fallowing him.
His instincts from being on the streets kicked in and he started making his movements random. If he saw one of the suit-men, he would go down a different street, or into an alley. But anything he did the men continued fallowing him, so he ran; he knew how to avoid the obstacles in an alley so he gained ground quickly. He stole a glance behind him to see how far the men were from him. They had started running, but they didn’t know alleys like Kyle did. He was pulling away from them, his leg muscles aching but going numb as he cooled them down in order to keep running. He skidded to a stop as a man in the same suit as the others was standing in his way at the end of the alley. "Stop running Mr. Hayden. We only have a question to ask you."
He frowned and looked back and forth, noticing the only ways out were blocked by the suit-men. "Whatever it is I'm not doin' anything for you." He had had enough with gangs, and people trying to get him to do illegal jobs for them; he figured this was the same.
The man in front of him chuckled, and gave a knowing look to the men behind Kyle. He felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and he growled spinning around then punching the man behind him in the face. The man went down out cold a needle falling from his hand and the others rushed forward. Through his anger Kyle didn't notice his blurring vision or the increasing ice going up the walls of the alley. The main man glanced at the walls and smiled. "You don't have much of a choice Mr. Hayden."
Kyle blinked a few times as his vision got spotty and his legs lost strength. He collapsed, his head hitting the floor with a thud and sending a dull throbbing through his skull. His eyes closed, the ground around him going white with frost.
Side notes: Kyle hopes someone eventually will get passed the ice. He is waiting for someone to not leave an avoid him because of the cold and how he acts towards people.
