Personality

As an asshole that coats her words in sugar sweet ichor its really hard to tell whether she's taking the piss or genuinely trying to tear down the person she aims her words at. Often stuck so far up her own ass she can't see her own faults, utterly too arrogant to function on a normal basis. The honesty almost makes up for how much of a dick she is, only it sort of makes her foul mouth worse. Its a damn good thing she knows when to shut her mouth, otherwise she'd just be intolerable.

Recent years she's mostly elected to be a silent factor, always in the background when she can be. Easier than being front and center, where shit just gets to be too much. Her crumble had started with a key, and ended with the humbling that only purported murder could incite. Justifiably, she has a rather large chip on her shoulder, but thats something incurable at the core. Nothing can stop the inner savagery from busting through locked gates.

While she's a loyalist to a fault there are only so many people who can handle her air-headed ways. Her lack of ability to keep track of anything, from names to time, and the near constant babbling stream of words that choke their way from her gullet. A disproportionate amount of knowledge in regards to things of the 'green' variety. And her flower child nonsense thats sprouted up in the wake of months spent carpet surfing for dope in rundown motels. College had been a goddamn blessing that unglued her foundations. Given her a real sense of purpose beyond living life how she wants.

Majoring in theater may not have been what her parents wanted but Zadriahs natural talent called for it entirely. She may have at one point thought herself capable of being the star of the show, but she's long sense found a better purpose behind the scenes. The mastermind who pulls the strings, rather than the puppet who dances at their beck and will.

At heart, too odd to comprehend.

History

The Bassilys had been home to Zadriah for as long as she could remember, though to be honest it was hard not to realize you were adopted when it came to a multicultural family such as hers. Her father, Stewert Bassily, being the owner of several chain hotels across the pacific northwest had never really had the time to entertain his wife, thus, he had compromised on their constant dispute about having children. Zadriah wasn't the first, Mariah Bassily had adopted two older children before her, a pair of brothers that had been put into the system after their drug addicted single mother OD'd on street Morphine.

You know how when people get a puppy, they get it for the cute factor. The excitement of having this cute, new, little creature in their lives lived on for a few weeks. But eventually it would die down of course, at least until the next puppy came along. Thats how it went for the Bassily kids. Sure, their parents loved them in a way that meant throwing cash their way anytime they were mildly upset, but there was a clear rift between the children and the parents, a lack of late night comforts for nightmares. The kids were practically given run of their own lives once they reached an age where they could be left alone.

Zadriah came to them as a baby, different from most of her six siblings who were adopted as toddlers or just a bit older. Her life had been good, better than good really she was taken care of to an extent and had plenty of friends growing up. With the sheer size of the family one would assume there'd be plenty of siblings rivalry but for the most part they all got along just fine. In fact, having that many people around at all times gave her a dependence on having a large social group. She was fairly popular in school, she had money, and she had no adult supervision keeping her from going off the rails.

And off those very rails she went. Right into the hands of scamming drug dealers and upstart junkies alike. Felt at home riding the waves of ecstasy. Bad girl to the bone, till things went south. And damn did that straighten her up. Seems the thing that really did her in was a strung out month of a mixture of meth and acid trips. The hallucinations that chased her through the high were hellish, deadly at the core. She couldn't stop seeing herself, running, always running. feet bloody, toenails torn from the nail bed. Legs a scratched up mess as rocks and tree limbs caught her up. Couldn't stop feeling the pure, uncensored panic as her body convulsed. And later, couldn't stop dreaming of the pain as fire licked its way up her cold body.

These things were not her memories of course, they weren't even her nightmares, she had upon becoming sober researched the grisly details of each bad acid trip and learned a few interesting facts. A superimposed story that must have stuck around in her brain for years. Perhaps something she had read about or heard about as a child. Whatever the case it led her to Millers Creek Society. To the forums that consumed quite a bit of her youthful antagonism. Trolling may be a more appropriate definition. However the letter changed things, gave her something to feed the flame further. Maybe it was stupid to pack her bag on a whim, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.
