NAME
Annie Lefay

AGE
Nineteen

HAIR
Brown

EYE
Caramel

RACE
Human Weight: 101 lbs. ; Height: 4'9"

APPEARANCE
What appears to be a normal sixteen year old girl is not. Annie stands at four foot nine inches and weighs a little less than a hundred and ten pounds. The girl can eat, but she also exercises quite a bit. Every morning she wakes up an hour earlier than she should to run, to keep in shape. She isn't obsessed with it, and Sunday's she lets herself purge as much as she wants, but she still likes to look nice. She's like any normal girl really, desperately wishes she could be a boy and act like one, but does enjoy looking nice and having boys telling her she's pretty. Though she isn't obsessed with such either, and doesn't mind rolling around in the mud every once in awhile. Her caramel brown hair reaches past her shoulders and is almost always straight, there is though the rare day that she won't feel like straightening it and it'll appear a curly mess. Her eyes are the same color as her hair, though they occasionally change to a golden-like color. She only has two tattoos, an infinity symbol on her thumb and the Deathly Hallows symbol on her wrist.

PERSONA
Annie's primary mode of living is focused internally, where she deals with things rationally and logically. Her secondary mode is external, where she take things in via her five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Annie has a compelling drive to understand the way things work. She's good at logical analysis, and like to use it on practical concerns. Typically having strong powers of reasoning, although she's not interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application. She likes to take things apart and see the way they work. Annie has an adventuresome spirit. She is attracted to motorcycles, airplanes, sky diving, surfing, etc. She thrives on action, and is usually fearless. Annie is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make her own decisions about their next step. She does not believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit her ability to "do her own thing". Her sense of adventure and desire for constant action makes her prone to becoming bored rather quickly. Although she does not respect the rules of the "System", she follows her own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. She will not take part in something which violates her personal laws.

Annie likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when she can sort things out in their minds most clearly. She absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sort through those facts, making judgments, when she is alone. Annie is an action-oriented person. She likes to be up and about, doing things. She won't sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, she responds to what is immediately before her. She usually has strong technical skills, and can be as effective technical leaders. She does not pay attention to her own feelings, and even distrust them and try to ignore them, because she has difficulty distinguishing between emotional reactions and value judgments. This may be a problem area for her. When she is over-stressed, she may exhibit rash emotional outbursts of anger, or on the other extreme may be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings which she feels compelled to share with people (often inappropriately). When down on herself she will foray into the world of value judgments - a place which is not natural for the her - and judge herself by the inability to perform some task. Quinn will then approach the task in a grim emotional state, expecting the worst. But Annie is excellent in a crisis situations. She is good at following through with a project, and tying up loose ends.

So begins...

As it turns out, the first to walk through the oak doors was Jackson Lionhart, seemingly back from the dead. At the end of last year, he had dropped off the face of the Earth, not wanting to be questioned about what had happened about his time at the old academy. He was just glad that slavery was abolished, which was the only reason he was coming back to this school. Well, his father still had his hopes about them running a secret slavery institution, but Jackson was reassured at the doors that this was not that sort of academy anymore.

Like last time, he entered the room with only his duffel over his shoulder. This time though, there was no trail of other bags, no fancy suitcases filled with expensive things. This time, it was just him and the black bag, filled with comfortable clothes that he would be, well, comfortable in. Giving a slight nod in the direction of Mrs. Black, a know-it-all-teacher that was here last year, he took his spot in the room. It surprised him a little, to see her back, but he would not say anything about it. No need to get on the teachers bad side.

Annie entered the room somewhere in the middle, hovering here and there and never really finding one place to stand. It wasn't just because she was nervous, but because she was scared. The room was filled with supernaturals, she could feel it. This was one of those things that she could feel, that supers could feel, but humans couldn't. It was the only reason she qualified for the school, she thinks, because she was recognize the supernatural like normal humans could not. Still, her heart still followed a human beat, and she still acted in the same way normal humans did. Finally she found a spot and settled herself, fingering the straps of the bag over her shoulders and tapping the toe of her shoe.

Annie felt weird, somewhat equating her situation to that of the one she had had ever other time she had switched schools- she was yet again that awkward new kid. Almost strategically, she kept herself in the background, not drawing attention to herself in the slightest. It always worked, no one ever noticed her, and that was her goal.

Jackson got wide-eyed as Alice led him away, reluctant at first but eventually let her. Though what Mrs. Black said made him, well, have second-thoughts about saying what he had to Alice. There was no way that he would divulge his secret now though, his father would kill him if he knew how he really felt. About to open his mouth to decline the teachers assumption, he was stopped by Lilly, who suddenly shouted her own protests and seemed to be reaching out towards him when he turned around to look at her. "W-What is even going on?" He asked, putting both hands up and taking a step back from both girls and the teacher.

Nor Jackson or Annie made any move towards the front of the room. Annie did make herself known though, all four feet and nine inches of her, when she tripped over a chair leg in the back of the room and ended up sprawled across the floor in front of her. It wasn't particularly painful, and she wasn't hurt, but definitely embarrassed. Blushing bright, he pushed herself up and ran her hands over her jeans, making sure they hadn't gotten anything on them from the floor. Jackson seemed to have been debating going over and asking if she was alright, but the girl seemed to want little attention, and he had his own things to worry about. So as he watched the girl resign herself to a corner and try to become invisible again, he turned back to face the two girls.

Still, he made no move towards either, nor towards Mrs. Black. Sure, he cared about Lilly, really liked her actually. And Alice was really very nice, and he felt bad for her. But were either of them actually any more than just good friends? He couldn't figure it out, more likely than not because he had never found himself attracted to anyone before and wouldn't know what it felt like. The only guy he'd liked was when he was maybe ten or eleven, so that was silly to even consider being enough to base his feelings on. "I..'m sorry guys. I just don't know..." Someone else needed to go first.

Jack had gotten up late on this day, he quick showered, threw some clothes on and barely managed to fix his hair before stuffing toast in his mouth and rushing outside. His motorcycle however, refused to stop. "You gotta do this to me today huh?" He said and tried starting it again, this time it worked. Jack sped to school, barely making it in on time. When he walked into class he was sure everyone was gonna look at him funny, But they were much too busy looking at poor Annie sprawled out on the floor. Before he could say anything she had gotten up and went into a corner to be invisible. Jack wasnt about to let that happen. He went over to the seat next to her and plopped his stuff down. "You okay?" He asked with a warm smile plastered on his face.

Annie pulled her hoodie out of her bag, slipping it on quickly before closing the bag up again. The hoodie was big on her, huge actually, and the sleeves went past her hands and it was long enough to completely cover her shorts, making her look like she almost wasn't wearing any pants. There was a black bow in her long, straight brown hair and she nervously played with it, probably messing it up and moving it out of place in the process. Eventually she settled with her hair to one side, her fingers occasionally slipping through the bottom of it in a nervous fashion. And she was nervous, incredibly so. That someone might try and come over and talk to her, or Mrs. Black might try and call her up.

Jack was, honestly, the last person she expected to come up and ask if she was okay. "U-uh, yes." Having not spoken in awhile, her voice was weak at first, but evened out into the melodic-sound it usually was. "Thank you, Jack." She flashed him a small smile, something rare. "You're not late, if you're wondering what's happening. We're supposed to go up with whoever we want to live with for the year..." Normally she didn't talk much, but her nerves were making her ramble. When she mentioned having to go up with someone though, she trained her eyes on the ground.

"Im really not late, huh, weird. thought i was for sure when my motorcycle wouldn't start..." He said, more to himself than to Annie. Jack then thought over who he wanted to live with, drawing up a blank. He didnt know any of them too well. "Nervous huh? Dont tell anyone but...I am too." He said, whispering the last part. His teacher Mrs. Black started talking and his focus snapped back to the front of the room. "Oh, looks like we don't have to choose after all. I hope we can get along, Annie." Jack said with a smile.

Annie actually perked up a bit at the mention of a motorcycle. "Would you show me it sometime?" She asked, then blushed a little. "The motorcycle, I mean. I've never ridden one, but I used to love riding dirtbikes..." It made her feel a little better when he confessed that he was nervous too, and Jack got another smile from her, if he even noticed. Though she focused his attention back to Mrs. Black when she started talking, growing nervous once again when she announced that she would be paired with Jack. It couldn't be too bad, right? They could just be friends for now, Jack seemed like a nice guy. "I bet we will. Do you want to, I don't know, go find out where our room is?"

Jackson was surprised when he wasn't paired up with either Lilly or Alice, he had expected to get at least one of them, if not both if Mrs. Black decided to throw a surprise at them. It wouldn't really surprise him though, there were only three boys in the room, it would make sense for her to pair a few girls up to a guy. This Lacy though, he didn't even know who the girl was. Somewhat nervous, he took a look around, hoping to find out who she was.

Jack looked at Annie with a determined look, then smiled. "Of course you can see it, right after we find our room!" He said excitedly. "Can we go now? Its better than class after all." He said, he wanted to get up grab her hand and run to the room to see what it was like, but he restrained himself. "Oh, maybe i'll take you for a ride on my later, if you dont mind me getting a few things from my dads place." He said, seeing that she was excited about the idea of a motorcycle.

Annie glanced up at the front of the room, then back at Jack. "I think we're allowed to go now." She said, somewhat quiet again now that Jack seemed excited too. It made her a little nervous, but she was happy to know he wasn't upset about getting her as his roommate. Grabbing her drawstring off the floor, she started slowly towards the door, taking a few steps backwards and beckoning Jack towards her to make sure he was coming along. "I don't mind, as long as you don't. I can wait though," Annie told him, sneaking out into the hall in case they weren't supposed to leave.

Jack got up right when Annie did and snuck out into the hall with her, careful not to be seen by the teacher in case they werent supposed to go yet. "So, do you know our room number or do we have to get it at the office?" He asked while catching up to her and walking next to her. "Oh, and you dont have to come with if you dont want to, just asked cuz you seemed pretty excited about the motorcycle ." He said, staring out the window to his left. 'I wonder what living with her will be like...' He thought to himself as he walked.

Annie thought it was nice that Jack walked next to her, instead of a few steps behind or ahead. It was a weird thing to actually even notice, but the brunette tended to focus on the little things, try and enjoy the little things that other people took advantage of. She glanced over at him when she noticed him looking away, giving herself a moment to study his features. Jack wasn't unattractive, and was nice so far, but she had a nasty habit of falling in crush with any guy that was even nice to her- which was few anyways. So she would have to be careful to not mistake kindness for flirting. "No, I do want to come!" She assured him, eyes widening a bit. "I just don't want you to think that you have to take me, that's all." Smiling softly, she pointed them down another hallway. "Our room is right over here, I think." She pointed towards one of the doors, noticing how tall he looked compared to her. Then again, being only 4'9", everyone looked tall compared to her.

"Oh no, I'd be happy to take you. Its not very often that i get to take pretty girls for a ride after all. " Jack said with a smile. Jack looked at the young woman for a second, she was quite pretty, and quite short. Jack being around six feet two inches tall towered over the girl. Jack walked up to their door and opened it, stopping to let Annie in first. "Well, its bigger than i thought it would be." Jack sais with a sigh of relief and a smile. "Well, we've found our room. What do you want to do now?" He asked, still looking around the room.

Annie blushed a little when he called her pretty, but otherwise made no indication that she was surprised by the compliment. It wasn't often that she was complimented, mostly because no one noticed her, which was basically what she had wanted for the longest time. Following him quietly into the room, she gave a soft hum of agreement- the room was nicer than she had originally though it would end up being. "Unpack some things maybe? Then we could, um, go for that ride?" Removing her bag from her shoulder, she tossed it on one of the beds, then bounced up on one herself. "They're comfy too!" She said, sort of excited sounding as she patted the spot next to her. "Come see!"

Jackson watched the two girls converse, not really seeing a need to cut in until Lacy apologized to him and offered to buy a new lamp for the room. He only shrugged, smiling kindly. "Don't worry about it." If the school didn't replace it for them, he would have no problem purchasing a new one. Not that they really needed it, there was the main light and a few other lamps in the room. But if it made the girl happy, well, he was a sucker when it came to making people happy. "Want to lead the way to your room then, Alice?" He smiled at her too, sympathetic, he knew who she had wanted as a partner.

"Haha okay." Jack said and walked to the bed, sitting down next to Annie. "Woah....Its so comfy! How could it possibly be this comfortable? I certainly wont have any trouble sleeping." Jack said with a chuckle. He then got up and wandered over to his own bed, laid on it for a minute then put the few things he had brought along with him away. "Hey, do you like tea?" He asked suddenly remembering the tea shop in town that he was so fond of. He thought it would be nice for the two of them to go sometime.

Annie giggled softly, covering her mouth with her hand in a way that could only be perceived as shyness. Since she had gotten her braces off, she didn't like her smile, and hated when people actually saw her laughing. "The beds are so big too! I bet we could both fit in one, and still have room!" The words were said in the most innocent way possible, and it was clear that she didn't realize what she said as she slipped off the bed and opened her bag to put things away. After being asked about tea, she stopped and thought for a moment, trying to remember the last time she had any. "I'm more of a coffee girl, but I do like tea. What about you?"

Jack had finished putting things away when he heard a laugh from Annie. He looked over and saw that she was covering her mouth, must have been insecure about her teeth or something. He layed back down and looked up at the ceiling. "Y'know, Beautiful girls shouldn't hide their smiles." He said a slight smile crossing his face, this time he was in fact flirting with the young lady. "Well, the place i'd like to take you to sometime serves a wide variety of coffees too, as well as cakes, cookies, and scones." He stated, closing his eyes to think about all the delicious things the restaurant served. His hat fell off and his ears were exposed, not that he really cared though. His tail swished from side to side happily as he thought of all the pasties. "Well whenever you're ready we can go on that ride" He said turning to her and smiling again.
