Wicca Hawthorne's Story

"Have you taken your powers for a test run yet?"

He looked down, clenching his fists and rotated it firmly. "I....I think I did...." Muttered as it was, the fresh memory of performing that was still unbelievable to him.

He has light.

“When the practice hall opens we can all demonstrate our powers. After all, practice makes perfect. And I could sure use all the practice time I can get!”

Snapping back to reality, he blinked a few as to come back before looking up to smile back, nodding quite happily. "Yep! Oh boy, I just have to do that again. That was awesome!Or, at least I think so--Hehe...."

He chuckled, patting his hair down awkwardly. Eyes of his travel down to all around the room until he caught sight of a young lady at the corner. 'Weird. I haven't seen her here around yet....' With that thought, he pardoned himself and walked over to her with an upbeat sense. Reaching out his hand, he spoke. "Heya! Name's Blake Thorne. You must be new here like Enzo and I; who are you, eh?" If friendliness was some sort of light, it would have bounced off from areas and he would radiate it brightly.

"I-I'm Wicca, Wicca H-Hawthorne...."

He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck with his other hand that was free. The sight of the girl trembling was giving him no peace of mind. As the moment she took his hand, he gently pulled her up to a standing-straight level, patting her head. "Well, Wicca, I hope you and I get to be good buds. Need anything and I'll help, alright?"

Not to be forceful, but needing to pull her to the rest of the group, he wrapped an arm of his around her shoulder as to say that everything's fine and dandy; nothing to be afraid of much as of yet. He took her hand calmly and led her to the table in a slow speed as to not quicken her to do so. "Hey! You gotta meet the rest of the gang. 'Ts cool hanging around with them. C'mon! I'll introduce ya to them!" He declared, patting her shoulder in which his arm rested upon.

"'Sup, guys? Check it out, we got a new friend! Peeps, this is Wicca Hawthorne!"

On arrival, he removed his arm around her now and stood quite fine beside her, wearing the casual bright grin.

He raised a brow at Adie, in whom has paused a bit before replying: "Oh hi. I'm Adie." And a small puff of smoke came off from her after that. 'She must be in Wonderland now, 'spose.' He chuckled silently at that, but coughed a bit as to not let others question that out-of-nowhere chuckle, most especially Adie for quite obvious reasons. "Y-Yep! Anywhoooo....Adie's a cool dudette and all. Oh Ooooh! She controls fire too! Pretty wicked if I may say so!" He did a little bounce unintentionally for the excitement he showed. He cannot lie either way; Adie's fire magic is impressive to him. "You gotta see it sometime!"

"You're from Germany! I'm from Scotland."

Nice to hear he's not the only one excited.

He chuckled again this time, catching the two girls' accents and nodded. "Yeah, Wicca. Your's kinda German now as I've realized! And Adie?" Her turned to her, crossing his arms with a playful grin, resting his one hand under his chin now and looking up as to think. "Hmm...didn't know you had a foreign accent.... 'ts pretty faint for me but hearing it now's kinda makes you cooler~ You should use it more often. Blake Approved!" He nodded to that, putting a thumbs up.

“Sup, guys? Check it out, we got a new friend! Peeps, this is Wicca Hawthorne!”

Saeword smiled towards the new girl, the unfamiliar female seeming nervous and uneasy around the others. She was new after all so it was to be expected, and Saeword didn't think much else of it.

“Nice to meet you Wicca.” Saeword said softly as she watched Wicca, Blake and Adie converse between themselves. Ordinarily she would’ve joined in with the small group, but the girl felt best to leave the trio at that moment and simply turn to her brother who was otherwise busy amusing himself. The siblings merely looked to one another before poking and nudging each other in a playful manner.

”Seems to be quite a few new people at this place lately.” Abbo muttered absentmindedly as he took note of the increasing number of new recruits. Turning to his sister he sighed at that moment.”I guess it’s a good thing.”

Saeword nodded before running a hand calmly through Abbo’s ponytail. “The more the merrier, I say. Cheer up sour puss.” She encouraged the boy and nudged him again teasingly.

Wasn't this day pleasant? Meeting new people, helping out your family--and oh! Getting powers too! Damn, is this the best! Well...that's what the mind of the young man told him so. Only a small sigh could escape his lips from all of this, rather, a happy sigh to say the least.

”Seems to be quite a few new people at this place lately. I guess it's a good thing.”

“The more the merrier, I say. Cheer up sour puss.”

He looked up to see the two siblings and laughed along with them, agreeing to Saeword on the part. "I say, my good boy, cheer up, you sour puss indeed!" Aside from wanting to try that weird dialogue, he was tempted clearly to go ahead and try to punch Abbo's shoulder lightly as if to kid around as well, but remembering the fact of attempting that would leave a sore fist. He was kinda weak and a defense of earth like that wouldn't help him either. Oh well...time to give up on that thought!

Sooner or later, after a good round of chatting and merry-making, he does not know why, however, of this strange feeling that sends his guts drop to the bottom of his stomach. Turning his head around, a male who was older than him, 18, he guessed, walked in from the wide opened door.

"Hey."

He frowned a bit, pondering on what to do next. The boy walked over to the other, reaching out a hand to shake. "Hey there, bro! Blake Thorne, newbie." Maybe a big smile was thrown in as well for comfort, but something tells him he's using too much on this mysterious guy for his liking.

Turning around to pick up the rest of the fries and threw it into his mouth along gulping the rest of his bottle's content, he walked over to a nearby trashcan with his tray to dump remaining contents. He walked back and placed the now empty tray on the table and clapped his hands hard to remove any dust, salt, or any of the sort.

”Oh joy.”

His head perked to Abbo as apparent sarcasm dripped down along with those words. But to Blake, he was well excited-- childish excitement to say. "Yeah, dude! Isn't using your powers fun to do? Don't be such a lazy bum!" He grinned, walking away now from the table, standing now beside Wicca who was busy watching the rest of them as well as dusting her dress. "So uh, Wicca! I assume that they fired you with that weird gadget gizmo thingie before coming here in the canteen, eh? Can't wait to try them out?"

He waited for a reply, in which it soon came afterwards.

"Indeed I do. They never told me what power I have. I guess I just have to find out."

Perhaps unbeknowst to her, Wicca herself grabbed his hand with a grin at him. "Can you show me the way to the lab?" Eyes never leaving his hand, he nodded to reply. "I take it you're ready by the way you're holding my hand, it seems!" He chuckled, seeing her now glancing at it and let go quite quickly. "Oh! I'm s-sorry!! That was, um, how do you say, silly of me?" He shook his head with another chuckle, taking her hand and shaking it gently up and down. "Please don't worry! I'm kinda chill with it really!" Reassuring her, the man in white coughed to get their attention, tapping his wrist that had a watch.

Turning his head to Abbo, Saeward, and Adie, he raised a brow and mouthed the words "Should we go now or something? Everyone's ready?" before nodding quickly at the scientist. "U-Uh! Yes sir! Just a second!"

The scientist raised a brow, clearing his throat afterwards and nodded as to signal everyone to leave. Only a grin remained for Wicca to ease her mind about holding his hand. 'I mean, psh-- Mom does that all the time!'' He spoke at his brain, seeing really no wrong to it. Noticing now the action of Adie, walking towards the door in a quick pace, made him stiffle a little chuckle.

"You look like you want to ignite those fiery engines as soon as we get there, Adie!"

Just to check up on everyone else, he turned his head slightly to a certain angle to see Abbo and Saeword just right next to them. "How about you, guys? I wanna see Saeword pull of that flood you were talking about! And Abbo? I think I-I'm convinced your power's good already. No need to test your body defense. Hehe, yep....."

"I might..."

He heard that along with little laughter. To this, he can only nod as he watched Adie opening the doors of the Practice quite excitedly. "Well, the 'might' be a yes, perhaps." Now, as expectantly and giddy as he could be, his eyes traced the new performance of Adie: creating a huge human-sized whopper of a fire-ball and extinguished it greatly. He grinned wide, observing the new decoration of this plain room; a scorch mark. Seriously, in all due respect, everyone seems to be so cool to him with these array of powers. He can't wait to see the others!

”You sure you do not wish to go against me? You never know… you might win.”


He placed his hands up in defense and shook his head a bit too quickly, quick chatter of a laugh came about. "Haven't you heard 'better safe than sorry', bro? Yeah, I do hope you know of that!" He exclaimed, pausing in that funny position. Blake looked over to Abbo though, his hand tingling in temptation to try and to do the action of actually punching. But a possible broken hand may not be a good offer in his side. With the tingling sensation still there, he squinted at his own hand quite bitterly and shook it mercilessly before placing both his hands down.

“Abbo, stop teasing him. No one can beat you. Well, except me, I can. But I am your sister.”

His head was slightly turned to another direction to notice Saeword holding onto his arm. "Y-Yeah! You go say it, Saeword!" He sighed, quite embarrassed after the whole ordeal. He can be such a sissy sometimes and its hard to actually admit that. With blowing bits of his bangs away from the frame of his face, annoyed, he rolled up his jacket's sleeves and placed his hands on his waist with a small little 'humph'! "Okay,you guys. We better start practicing since Adie's getting the fun out of it!" He turned to the latter and waved his arms at her, running at her direction. "Hey hey! You better wait for us!"

After arriving at his destination, he bent down a little bit, hands to knees and all as if tired. He puffed up quite a bit and contemplated how far away was Adie away from the three of them in the first place. Wheeewie! He stood up once more, quite properly now to observe Adie who was looking at herself quite pleased with her fire creation. "Y' seem to indulge yourself in this much, huh?" He raised a brow with a slight chuckle. "Alright, be back in a minute and--" He said so tiredly as he jogged back to Abbo and Saeword. Something tells him that apparantly, he would have to do this routine more than once to see everybody perform their thing. He was excited to see Wicca's too! Along with Rick and Alexis of course!

Huffing as he ran, he went over to them, not seeing the puddle of water between the twins. He called out to them after." Hey guys! Performed anything awesome ye--?"

Whoosh

Oops.

"Iyaaaah!" He screamed, well it sounded like a scream at least, as he was flipped back, a slip, caught in mid air for a few seconds before laying his back against the ground with a 'thud' along with a soaked jacket. The water dispersed from under Saeword as Blake groaned slightly, rubbing the sides of his body if not the back. "O-Okay, that hurts....."

Though the pain bothered him very much, given he had such a terrible limit on how much damage could there be for it to start to hurt, he threw the problem off his shoulders for a short while to witness Adie pulling off a wonderful pyro display. Flames that emitted from her hands danced and flickered all around, burning whatever's in its way. But what caught his attention the most, okay! Scratch that. What caught his ears' attention the most was the sound of an explosion.

Oopsie dasies.

Please, duck for cover.

With another scream of his, the voice of fear pierced through the now smoky area. In truth, once the clouds of 'something-went-wrong' wavered in the air, disappearing into nothing, you can find him crouching in the ground like Sonic would do before doing his spin dash, hands over head too. "H-Hey! Are you sure with what you're doing h-here...!?" He asked, trembling just a tiny bit. He stopped his blathering sooner when he noticed the funny sight of her hair being burnt slightly.

"Haha.....jackpot!"

With a silent evil smile, he crept over to Adie, her back facing him. He took off his soaking jacket and.......

"Extinguish!"

He yelled in glee, slapping the dripping jacket over her head, letting the water flow down to her face. He believed that some steam was actually present on contact.....Ooh. In a second, he dashed over behind the twins wide a wide grin.
