There Shouldn't be a good in Goodbye| Jason Walker
Name: Oliver James Phillips
Nicknames/Aliases: He's normally called Oliver but some of his close friends call him Ollie.
Age: Oliver is twenty three years old.
Gender: Male

"Water is the driving force of all nature."
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 170 pounds
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Green
Appearance: Oliver is a could be considering quite tall and has a slim figure. He has brown hair that never seems to be even a little out of place. He also has bright green eyes that are set in his rather pale face. He is always dressed impeccably and there never seems to be anything out of place. He dresses in a white, button-up, collared shirt on most occasions. If he isn't wearing black dress pants, he is wearing dark colored jeans. He will normally wear either dark dress shoes or kept-up tennis shoes depending on the occasion. He will also wear a black tie at all times. If he needs to get fancier than usual, he'll wear a tuxedo. Oliver has no piercings or tattoos, but he does have a scar on his left arm near his elbow. This is from an incident when he was a child in which he fell down the stairs and broke his arm quite badly, resulting in the scar he has now from where the bone penetrated the skin.
"Thousands have lived without love, none have lived without water."
Personality: The first thing that someone tends to notice about Oliver is the fact that he is a perfectionist. Nothing about him ever seems to be out of place in the slightest bit. If you were to suddenly walk into his apartment and inspect the area and then come back a month later you would find that everything was in the exact same place as before. The only exception to this would be his ever growing collection of books due to his love of reading. His books would be rearranged slightly to accommodate whatever new books he had bought in the past month but they would be ordered in the same way. They would be sectioned off into their respective genera and from there would be organized alphabetically by the last name of the author. On the outside, Oliver is also an incredibly calm person and it would be difficult to make him so angry that he would ever even raise his voice at them, let along attempt to harm them in any way.
The next thing that you're likely to notice about Oliver is that he is a very cold and distant person that doesn't seem to be overly interested in creating a personal relationship with anyone at all. In fact, he doesn't really seem to be interested in much outside of his books and job, which actually makes quite a bit of sense if you know him well. When he gets onto something, he pursues it like there isn't anything else in the world to do. This can make it quite difficult for him to have personal relationships with anyone, or more so anything, other than his work. By the way, if you were wondering by now, Oliver works for the FBI as an anthropology intern there. Well, technically, he works for the museum nearby who are partnered with the FBI when it comes to local cases because his teacher is one of the best forensic anthropologists there are in the field. He studies the bones of dead people that exceed several hundred years but also helps with the identification of recent murder victims. The only time he seems to show any of kind of compassion or sympathy is when you see him working at the job, especially if the victim happened to be a child. He seems to have some kind of soft spot for children, actually.
Outside of those who work with him, Oliver doesn't seem to have many friends at all and tends to bond with people who have the same interests that he does, as most people do. This is probably one of the reasons that he doesn't have very many friends outside of his workplace, actually. He doesn't drink or smoke and doesn't enjoy parties in the least bit so he doesn't really get out much. This is partially because he can be a very paranoid person and worries that he might be called into work late at night. If he were drunk or at a party that could turn out to be a less than satisfactory way to turn up to his job considering they occasionally have to work with dangerous chemicals in order to test certain properties of the bone or to clean them of any insignificant flesh that won't aid in identifying the victim.
Anyone that he isn't friends with will find him to be a very cold and distant person when they first meet him. He can also come off as quite arrogant for a while about his intelligence compared to theirs. They will probably find these behaviors to be consistent for the first few months that they know him until they begin to build up trust with him and find several things in common with him. Most of the time he doesn't find people that are very interested in anthropology but he has built relationships based on different books they've read. He also is very fond of comic books and super hero movies, or super heroes in general to be honest. He doesn't have anything against people that drink or smoke or party or anything like that, he simply asks that they don't expect him to go with them when they take part in these activities. As long as they have reached a mutual agreement that Oliver will not participate in activities he does not enjoy and they have some kind of connection over something they both enjoy, Oliver is able to make some kind of friendship with them, as dysfunctional as it may turn out to be. Also something that should be mentioned is that honesty is a requirement for Oliver to make a connection with someone. He cannot stand dishonesty or being betrayed and he will not put up with it. If you manage to gain his respect and trust, it would be best that you not lie to him because if you do it is highly unlikely you will ever get the same level of respect and trust from him again under any circumstance.
Once you get to know him well, Oliver can be a very kind person. He won't always tell you what you want to hear but you will hear the truth if nothing else. He'll begin to loosen up more and it seems that he has a greater sense of humor. He'll actually seem to be quite happy to be around some people and around certain things and while taking part in some of his favorite hobbies. You'll seem him talk passionately about what he enjoys and what he cares most about and you will see him completely cut himself off from things that he doesn't care about. When it comes down to it, Oliver would do anything for the people that he cares about and for those that he trusts and he can be very kind but it takes a long time for someone to get in a position to where they can see that in him.

Strengths:
Intelligence| Oliver is an incredibly intelligent person when it comes to information. However, the same may not be said when it comes to common sense.
Honesty| Oliver believes strongly in being honest no matter what the situation is.
Cautiousness| Oliver is a cautious person and does not trust just anyone he meets.
Non-subjective point of view| Oliver is good at detaching himself from the problem at hand and looking at it from a non-subjective point of view. This can help greatly when it comes to difficult problem solving between several people.
Weaknesses:
Trust| While it is a good thing that Oliver is cautious, it can also be a bad thing. It takes an incredibly long time for Oliver to trust someone, even if he doesn't really have a reason to be cautious of them. Also, if you happen to lose his trust after you've finally earned it, you can forget about ever getting it back under most circumstances.
Closed| Oliver is a very closed up person emotionally and it's difficult for others to see past the coldness of his attitude.
Heights| Oliver has been terrified of heights ever since he was little. It was never caused by one specific event but it's likely to have come from the fact that he was quite accident prone as a child and regularly fell down stairs, something that, at the time, seemed like quite a long fall.
Physically weak| Physically, Oliver is not very muscular at all.
Flaws:
Blunt| Oliver is a very honest person, which can lead to him being very blunt, lacking compassion when he talks to others.
Detached| Oliver tends to detach himself from people almost too easily. He doesn't even attempt to get too close to someone most of the time.
Cold| Oliver lacks very much so when it comes to empathy. He doesn't seem to have much empathy, sympathy, or compassion for most people.
Conceited| Oliver believes himself to be much more intelligent than most people around him and, even if it's true in some cases, is not a very good attribute or mindset to have.
"The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea."
History: Oliver didn't have an easy childhood but, compared to some, he didn't have it particularly hard either. When he was a baby, Oliver was given to foster care by his mother. His father is unknown and he is not aware that he has any siblings. He was told that at the time he was born his mother could not take care of him because of the financial difficulties she was experiencing. He was told that she had said she wanted to give him his best chance and if that meant that she would have to give up her baby, then she was willing to make that sacrifice. That thought, what she had said before she left him alone, that was what made him certain that someone out there cared about him, even if he didn't know who she was. To him, she was the best super hero in the whole world because she was willing to give him the best chance that he could get.
So, the years went on and he was taken into several foster homes. Some of the parents were kind and some were not but none kept him around or ever adopted him. There always seemed to be some kind of problem with him so that he would push himself away from them or push himself away from the other children there. Because he wanted a family so badly, he would try to conform to however they wanted him to be so maybe, just maybe, someone would adopt him and he would finally be able to go home and feel normal. Even though he knew someone cared about him, it was difficult feeling like he was never going to find them or he was never going to find any kind of home at all that cared for him. He was adopted for some time in a home but it was an abusive home and they were caught abusing him when a counselor came to check up on him for one of her surprise visits after the first week he was there. Luckily, he was only there for a week and he knows that some kids are stuck in that situation much longer than he was. That never changed the fact that he continued to push people away, even more so then than he had before.
When he reached the age of eighteen, he had to leave the foster care and entered college with some funds that he had saved up ever since he was little. When he had been in the fifth grade, they had started talking about what they really wanted to do when they grew up. He knew that what he wanted to be, a scientist (he didn't know what kind at the time), would require him to have a further education past high school. So, he began to do odd jobs wherever he could and some of the foster parents gave him allowance that he saved up. He managed to open up a bank account with some help from the people in his foster home and he had his own bank account where he left the money. He never spent even a cent of this money until he was ready to go to college. With some scholarships that he was given because of his grades and for several other things he had done in high-school and because of the fact he was in the foster care system, he got into a good college and paid for the first few years.
When he graduated, he had to have specialized training and that was when he became Dr. Goodall's, a forensic anthropologist's, intern. He has since been able to pay for his won apartment with the money he receives from his job and continues to learn there. That is, up until three weeks ago when strange things started happening to water around him. It would freeze on touch and seem to move without anyone touching it. This mostly seemed to happen when he was frustrated or agitated about something. Until they could find out what was going on, they could risk damaging the bones so everyone was sent home on paid vacation time until the problem was solved. However, during this past week Oliver received a telepathic message and managed to make the excuse that one of the foster parents he had been close to was sick and he was going to see her immediately. So, now he is meeting up with the group of other avatars in attempt to fix his problem.
Family: Oliver doesn't have any biological family members that he is aware of.
