"Dancing in the shadows."

0 · 798 views · located in Eilimint

a character in “The Elemental's”, as played by Thundera

Description

Name: "My name Nezzera...I like it. It means darkness..."
Nickname: "Please call me Zara..."
Age: "I am eighteen."
D.O.B: "I was born on the Friday 13th of June 1994...Trust me it's no coincidence."
Elemental Type: "I love the dark..."Image
Personality: She's cold hearted and demonic. Forever trying to ruin everybody's lives. She's stubborn and confident. Her heart is cloaked in darkness and she thinks of nothing but the next chaotic mess she can cause. She is inderpendent and hates to use help from anyone else. She'll reject your help no matter how desperately she needs it because she thinks needing help makes you weak. She's gothic and dramatic but if you said the right thing you could make her crumble but she refuses to listen most of the time scared someone might actually get to her.
Appearance: She has long bleach blonde hair which tumbles down by her skinny hips. She is lean and thin but built with a thin layer of leathel muscel. She's beautiful but in a horrible evil way not in a cute, sweet, innocent way but in an evil, murderous, dangerous way. She's fairly tall and her pupils are almost black. She has the thin hands of musician because of her secret admiration for dramatic slow depressing music. All her features are sharp and pointed except her ears which are petit and round. She has a pointed button nose and big doe eyes which she can make look as innocent or as guilty as she wishes.
History: She had a very casual life up to the age of thirteen then she became a destructive evil little brat burning things with lighters and throwing things across rooms but she never revealed her powers unless it were to another elemental. She was evil but she was smart too. She knew if normal people found out she'd been thrown into a lab for tests and nobody wants that. She ran away from a cosy home and took well to living on the streets kicking up a storm with every waking moment. By fifteen Nezzera had taught herself to fight properly and well just in case she bumped into a lovely stupid light elemental...She didn't want to let them kick her ass she had to be ready and boy did she do well at training herself. These days Nezzera is lethal but she won't kill mindlessly even steely b*****s like her have some what of honor.

Motto: "What darkness is there even in the brightest light?.....Shadows!"
Extra: She has a certain amount of respect for fire elements because of her fondness for flames but she wouldn't hesitate to throw a bit of trouble their way if she got the chance...They just rank higher then everything else in her ladder of respect."

So begins...

Nezzera smiled a perfect Hollywood smile as she drove through the rocky mountains. Zara had never actually passed a test but she didn't let that put her off. She needed to get to the Earth Temple and she didn't have time to pass a test first. The car was stolen obviously and she suspected that the original owner would miss their cherry red soft top convertible.

Nezzera had always been a rebel from the very beginning. She would scare people by sneaking up behind them from the shadows and play tricks on Halloween even if she got the treat but when your practically immortal why stop there?

She started committing bigger and more criminal stunts like theft and assault rarely even bothering to use her element because it was so much more fun to beat someone up slowly and drag out the thrill but Zara is done messing with humans she's started plotting on how she can raise a brans new full blown war between the elements mostly because she was confident she could win.

That was a problem with Zara, she's overly confident in herself. She is talented and strong but she thinks of herself too highly and others too low and she should of learnt her lesson by now for that but she hasn't despite the millions of times she'd escaped alive by luck.

Zara gripped the wheel tightly smirking her knuckles were white under her leather biker style driving gloves- that was something she did have a licence for...motorbikes. Her eyes were narrowed in concentration and annoyance why did she have to drive all day and night just to get to an ancient Temple? She signed and drummed her deep blood red nails against the wheel in a rhythmic tune,

Her hand moved on the radio came on. Zara gave a dramatic groan when the squealing unbroken voice of a certain weed addict poisoned her ears. Damn Radio 1 and there upbeat happy music! She thought darkly. She dug around in her back pocket until she found the slim white iPod and plugged it into the car steel replacing the shit pop with more admirable and respectable soft rock.

She swerved violently to avoid going over the edge suddenly as she became,e aware of her car going straight for the edge. To anyone else this would be a drama but Zara failed to care as a big temple appeared in the distant horizon. It was still a long while into go but she was almost there.

She states like that for another half an hour driving whilst drumming her fingers against the wheel. Nezzera had never been a patient girl and knowing the other elements would soon be in her company made her even less patient today.

She pushed on the gas and forced her head back into the headrest she wasn't on the edge of anything now just what seemed to be a boring road. The scenery was stunning but Nezzera couldn't of given a fly about the scenery in this mood.

After 32 Hours off bitter thoughts and driving Nezzera was there and a big stone temple towered of her she smiled when she saw the flying wind boy. what a boring element If it didn't inflict immediate pain or make someone scared she didn't care for it at all and wind was one of those things that Zara didn't see as harmful or scary so she hated it quiet simply.

Her blonde hair was down and straight and her eyes decorated like smoke with thick coats of mascara and dark grey shadow and eyeliner she was some sort of rock chick Goth, but she'd simply describe herself as darkness which irritated many that she was that struck on being evil and destructive. Under the make up and leather clothes she was actually kind off pretty but you'd need good eyes to see her through her mask.

She looked at the guy with narrowed emotionless eyes that would remind one of a hungry snake when it had found its prey. She was thinking a million things but no words left her lips not even a mumble or mutter of sound just the occasional shallow brush of air that left her with every breath.

Zara remembered her first meeting with another person when she was three and at the park. A kid looked at her from across the sand pit and she'd just looked back at him until eventually she threw sand in his eyes for being rude. The temper isn't a new thing either.

She pictured the boy's eyes bloodshot as he cried in pain in his mother's fussing arms. I was told off by my mother but couldn't understand what I had done wrong, Mummy punished me when I was rude and he was rude so he had to be punished.
((I won't post again I'll let everyone else get a post in first maybe I should of left this one out but hey I just wanted to get her there and ready.))

Ah, of course it'd be one of the dark ones to get here first.

Wayne watched as a car pulled up. A woman was driving and he didn't know anything about her yet. But he sensed the aura the moment the car was within sight. "I'll kill you for breathing." was what the aura said. And it oozed out of practically every vein in her body.

Wayne would try to be nice, but any false move by her and he would go on the offensive. She may be surprised, but wind could do some damage. Even if it couldn't do nothing on it's own, he could generate wind strong enough to pick up other items, like a dagger or that car that just pulled up. He thought of it as natural telepathy.

He gave a small, friendly wave and put on a thin smile.

Zara gave a tight smile but it was clearly forced. Apparently she didn't like social gatherings. She didn't respond to his wave straight away just looked past him at the temple it was impressive but she couldn't care less. She just wanted to see if there was another darkness elemental around anymore.

She turned her attention back to the boy and reappointed her smile which had been lost when her attention first turned to the temple.

"Hello," Her voice was surprising. Her image made you expect her to have a harsh sharp voice but her voice was soft and almost sweet like an average teenager but no one ever thought of it much after they heard her talk a bit.

She couldn't lock the car because it was hijacked but she pushed the door shut and walked around to sit on the bonnet too distracted to stand and stare at her surroundings.

"Hello," the girl had responded, no name, no description, no complaint. She just said a simple greeting, forcing a smile and sitting down. Man, she did not want to be here.

Her voice was surprisingly deceptive of her nature her aura eminated. But it wasn't like he was expecting a voice from the girl from "The Exorcist". But she wasn't expecting a soft, sweet voice either. Yeah, she could very well sweet talk anyone into doing her bidding.

His thoughts were interrupted by a sudden light in the distance. Wayne had to squint before he could barely make out a belching fireball in the distance. The smoke was beginning to rise. "I think one of our fire friends are here," he said to the dark chick, not knowing or caring how she would react. He could've more or less been talking to himself.

Cole had finally made it, but as he was approaching he saw two people, that he might have to talk to. He tried to avoid any form of conversation by avoiding eye contact and keeping his head down, he hoped that neither of them decided to take interest and try to speak to him, that would be extremely awkward for him, because he would barely say anything to them, like he usually did.

Inside the Earth Temple was amazing, or at least that was what Cole thought. The tunnel he was in had some foliage along the walls and was fairly bright, despite being fairly deep into the side of a mountain. Cole needed a rest after walking for all that time, so he decided just to sit down, lean on the side of the tunnel, and promptly fell asleep.

I ain't gonna even explain how I did because you'll probably guess it was that I used a little fire here and there which wouldn't be a lie at all. Now, I ain't gonna say I stole a plain, I just borrowed it and it's pilot for a little while. I had found one of those skydiving places where they take you up in the plane and yeah. Well, I used the help of a little counterfeit money and rented out a whole plane and driver. After the plane had lifted off, I got out of that goddamn jump suit and put my jacket and jeans back on and headed to the cockpit. "Hey, buddy." I said as I sat down in the seat behind the driver. "Wha-! What the hell are you doing up here, kid?" I laughed when this old guy, maybe 80 years, called be kid. He just don't know, do he? "Bro, you're like, what? In your 80's?" The guy nodded at me with wide confused eyes. "Dude, I'm like 200 years old. I'm old enough to be you goddamn great great great grandfather, and you're calling me a kid?" The guy passed out after that and, though the plane started heading downwards, I dragged the guy back to where the parachutes were. I strapped a parachute on the guy and opened the plane door. As the propped the guy up to the door, he came back and opened his eyes slight. "Wha-what are you doing?" He asked. "Oh, I'm gonna fly thise here plane and you're about to jump out a plane." I said smirking. Before the guy could even say "what?" I shoved him out the door. "Don't forget to pull the rope!" I shouted out at him. I then headed back to the cockpit and sat down just in time to see I was about to crash the goddamn plane into a goddamn mountain. "Fucking mountains need to get out of the goddamn way!" I shouted like I was talking to the mountain and gently started stirring the plane in the right direction.
After a while, I finally saw the temple in the side of a cliff and I saw a few people by it. I looked for a place to land but didn't see anywhere. "Oh well." I said and locked the stirring lever then headed back to the door of the plane. "This better not mess up these jeans, they're my favorite jeans." I said to myself as I looked out the door to the temple, to the sky, to the ground, then back to the temple. Just as soon as I shoot out of the plane like the Human Torch from the Fantasic Four, the plane crush into the side of the cliff. The crash didn't do any damage to the temple, but it hit hard enough to cause a small earth quake and knock down the people by in the temple that I saw. As they were picking themselves up, I came down like a flaming fire ball and landed infront of them. Once I landed and patted the flames down, I started laughing at how they all fell. "Hey, I'm Aidan!" I said with my award winning smile and pulled my hood back over my head as I smiling cheekily at the people.

"Jesus Christ, people are making quite some entrances today, aren't they..." Wayne laughed.

Although the quiet one entered just about unnoticed and the dark girl had arrived in a car like a normal person, there was something on fire randomly out in the distance and now this guy had just crashed a plane into a friggin mountain. As he observed further, his research before-hand told him that Aidan was a Fire Elemental. "Or should I say Fire Elementals make exciting entrances..." he corrected himself, chuckling.

He approached the only one showing a somewhat positive attitude. "Hey, I'm Wayne. Can I ask how you managed to get a plane. Are you that rich or something?" he asked, still laughing.

Param Nair

Gentle strains of lowered Rock music floated through the nearly empty bar, the only sound other than the soft tinkle of the glass in the bartender's hands as he casually ran a rag over the reflective surface. At eight in the morning the pathetic hole-in-the-wall joint consisting of holey dartboards, sagging stools, smoke-scented pool tables, and a heavily dented bar was not a popular place to be; in actuality, given by the lack of clientele from the night before, it was very rarely the place to be. Of course the owner would have contended that a Tuesday night was hardly the exemplar to judge the success of the bar from- much less a Wednesday morning when closing came in less than an hour. However, the fact that only one patron had graced a singular stool for the entirety of the evening until this point in the next day spoke for itself.

This single guest, who had occupied the same space of bar for the last ten hours, was the only living soul not earning money to be there in the entirety of the building. Despite this, the bartender and the sole waitress had done their best to avoid any interaction with the man seated at the end of the long metal counter- or had after the flirtations initiated by the waitress upon his entrance had been met with a cool dismissal and a disturbingly empty stare. Although not one to usually turn down an opportunity for a good spot of entertainment- especially when provided by a cougar in overly tight yoga pants- Param just wasn't in the mood for anything remotely resembling communication today. Instead of toying with the woman, he'd selected a swiveling chair at the very end of the bar, ordered the bartender to keep his glass of whiskey full, and hadn't said a word since.

Now the man clad in various shades of sable was still seated in his shadowed corner, gaze cast down at the amber liquid that sat stagnant in his glass. The only movement that came from him was the casual play of a slim blade flicking across his knuckles as he contemplated the alcohol. Although the drinker had not been keeping count, the bartender had him marked down as on his fortieth glass of the strong liquid- a number that he would have questioned had he not been keeping tally after every cup slid down the bar. The man behind the counter had contemplated cutting him off twenty drinks ago, but as his intimidating guest hadn't shown any signs of drunkenness or alcohol poisoning he'd decided to let it go. However he continued to keep a close but wary eye on the raven-haired stranger, and was now beginning to wonder if he'd made the wrong decision in letting him drink as he wished due to the fact that the other man had been staring down into the murky liquid for nearly an hour.

Just as the employee had plucked up his courage to inquire as to the man's condition his worries were assuaged. In one quick movement, the man at the end of the bar tossed his blade into the air and swept up the glass. After he'd drained the contents in a single swallow, Param caught the falling stiletto between two fingers and slid the empty drink back down the bar. The bartender's gaze swept from the man just long enough to catch the glass, but when he turned back to ask whither he aught to pour another the seat that had been occupied all night was empty. In the man's place was the the thin, silver knife pierced through a pile of bills.

Hundreds of miles away, Param leaned against the smooth stone wall of a carved alcove- the aroma of stale cigarettes and beer still clinging to his person. Despite spending the night attempting to drink away the coming obligation that had brought him to this ancient monolith, he'd still been unable to bring himself to ignore the call. Of course it didn't help that his particular set of skills kept him from getting drunk and so instead of ending up blacked out on some street corner, he was completely sober and standing exactly where he didn't want to be.

Dealing with elementals on the battlefield or in a dingy back-alley was one thing, meeting them in broad daylight at an Earth Temple of all places was quite another. Not to mention the fact that the slowly growing group of element wielders below him consisted almost entirely of new chits that had barely taken off their training pants. Param's head began to shake side to side unconsciously as he muttered to himself in a barely accented baratone, "Why am I here....?" Even though he knew the reason- it was nigh on impossible to ignore a summons such as this- he couldn't resist the urge to rebel and disappear into the shadows to pop up somewhere much more interesting, like the center of a volcano.

Sighing heavily at the group below, the majority of whom were either pushing themselves upright or still sitting on their rears for some reason unknown to him, Param eased himself languidly off the stone framework and into the shadows behind. In the blink of an eye he was striding forth from a similar archway on the ground level. Ebony eyes flickered across the group, sizing up each one, as leather-clad arms crossed across his chest to reveal a right arm decorated in abstract tattoos. With the one quick assessment he could tell that those gathered were all of different schools- the three nearest him being a flame-head, wind-rider, and another child of the darkness. The last one caught his attention and he attempted to catch her's in return, his dark eyes settling heavily on her blonde hair. Ignoring the two men near them, the smoke in the distance, and the ephemeral aura emanating from a tunnel to his left Param stepped toward her. A small grin that didn't quite reach his eyes playing across his lips, he inclined his head, "I see our race has yet to entirely die out...."

"Thank hell for that!" because it obviously wasn't heaven encouraging our survival Nezzera smirked at the fellow child of darkness. "I'm Nezzera or Zara for short." She smiled and crossed one leg over the other to help stop her slipping off the bonnet.

Nezzera, however seemed less then impressed by the other elements and she would of directed her boredom at something or someone by now if it weren't for the arrival of her own kind.

Zara looked at the sky it was too early for it be a dark midnight blue and that irritated her. Screw day! Nezzera preferred nighttime obviously because it's darker and there aren't any people around to ruin her 'cloud nine' when she starts kicking up a riot.

She imaged herself running through the street shadows floating around here crashing into anything in her way ... Unfortunately for the world this was a memory not a fantasy. She smiled devilishly out the thought.

Why am I here? She asked herself she didn't have a clue. She didn't even what to be here unless she was being destructive and bloody light elements would probably turn up and get in the way, because they ruin everything!

Her arms crossed themselves over her leather and she was painfully glaring. Just the thought of a light element put her e this mood. She sighed and calmed her glare and then looked back at the darkness kid. This wasn't going to be too bad if he's as much like me as he appears to be. She decided. That's why I'm here to find people like me.

This is starting to get boring I thought and walked off to the edge of the temple and looked down, seeing the shattered pieces of the crashed plane I had crashed into the cliff. "I wonder if that guy made it." I asked myself quietly. Not many people were talking, mostly they were just chilling by themselves like the chick that had joined the group not to long ago and kept quiet. It's one thing to come in without introducing yourself, but it just puzzled me. Here I am, surrounded by a group of other elementals, and no ones fighting or using their element or anything. Guess it's up to me...again. I thought as I walked over to the entrance of a tunnel that resembled an old arched door way.
In the entrance there was a few sticks and twigs that must have fell down here somehow. I grabbed them up and put them into a small pile on the ground in the middle of the doorway. Before I sat down, I used one of the sticks and drew the accent symbol for fire, an upright triangle pointing to the pile of sticks in the dirt on the ground. I throw the stick back in the pile and wiped my hands on my pants. I took a side look back to the group with a smirk on my face. "Let's do this." I said quietly. At that, a loud blast of flames flowed out of my hands and onto the pile of sticks.
The flames blasted out of my hand but seemed to flow gently around the pile and flew in streams of brilliant shades of red, orange, and slight blue. I decided to give the group a show. As the flames flowed gently around my feet and the pile of sticks, gentle streams of flames rolled out and around the group. I turned around to face the group and hand my arms out with the flames gently flowing out and around. To give them more entertainment, I had a few flames shoot up and what happened next surly amazed them.
The flames created living things. The first was a brilliant flame rabbit created out of small continuous streams of orange flames with blue flames creating it's eyes. It hopped around like a real rabbit, going up to the people in the group and then jumped back into the flowing flames around them and disappeared. A moment later out jumped a flaming cat created mostly out of small streams of continuously flowing orange flams. Is walked around and meowed at a few of the group and then jump a foot away from the flowing flames surrounding them and dissolved back into the flames. Then, going a bit bigger, out of the flames stalked a flaming leopard and a flaming lion both made by burning orange flames. They came out of separate ends of the flames circling the group and went right after each other and fought right there. They were like separate beings as they fought. Eventually, the lion chased the leopard back into the flames. The lion walked slowly with his head up examining all the people of the group then he roared loudly like a real living lion and, in a gust of flames, the lion was gone and in its place was flaming dragon. It circled around the group and shot up into the sky. It roared loudly with even more orange flames flowing from it's mouth and then it busted into what looked like a firework with the flames dying out. As everyone looked to the sky, I turned back to my little fire. It was night now and the only light was my little pile of burning sticks that I looked down to with my hands holding each other in front of me. I would never admit it, but my hands burned slightly from what I had done, but it was fun as hell and I would do It again if I could. I stood there, now on the inside of the entrance, looking down at my little fire and looking up and the surrounding area and the group of elementals standing before me. The ground was not hurt by the display, there wasn't even a sign of burning. That was a good sign. A very good sign.

Wayne was starting to get bored. The other elementals weren't doing anything. They kind of sat around and waited. No one but Aidan seemed like they wanted to be here. It was strange.

Finally, it was Aiden who would start off the party. It was obvious that he was a fire elemental from the neat pictures he kept making with the fire he spawned. What could he showboat to the crowd?

"Hey. You. Fire boy. What the hell are you doing?"

Wayne turned in annoyance to the other fire elemental. He sighed. But Aidan didn't take it as a hostile thing. He actually kind of looked at her like she was hot. Wayne sensed some heat between the two, and it wasn't because they were fire elementals.

A soft breeze blew across his face, getting stronger with each second. He smiled when he remembered that he could Wind Surf. Without warning, he pulled out a tiny disc and pushed a button from a remote in his hand. The disc enlargened, now the size of a beach ball.

"Check this out!" he cried as he leapt the disc in the air, jumping on top of it as he did so. He felt the wind pick up, only under his feet this time. He gained momentum, the disc moved forward faster and faster. He was air surfing. He did it by lightening his own weight to where he was as light as the paper disc he was flying on.

He decided that that wasn't enough. He had to pull some tricks. He decided to start with one of the hard ones: an aerial. To pull this off, he had to leave the wind current he was riding on and get back on it once more. It requiredstrength, balance, and some agility if you wanted to really showboat it. He grabbed the disc from under him and lifted it up, him still riding it. He was out of the wind current, rising only slightly, performing a front flip at the peak of his incline, then started falling down. He placed the board under him once more and caught the wind current once more. He yelped in triumph.

And then he sensed it. He could barely contain his excitement and luck. It was a whirlwind, something like a typhoon in water, only in the air. This was the perfect stunt area. He steadied his disc and began to fall into the spiral of the current.

He decided to do another trick, this one requiring a lot of strength and reflexes to showcase. Using his feet, he launched the disc in front of him, back-flipping quicky, and barely was able to catch the disc before it was out of reach.

Pulling the disc back under him, he stood up. One more, he decided. And he knew what his final trick was going to be...

The handstand. He needed concentration and agility for this one as well as reflexes. He front-flipped, taking the disc with him under his feet. His feet touched his hands, transferring the disc. He landed on the disc, hands first. He had to shift his weight a lot to keep the balance. After a few seconds, he realized that he was getting awfully close to the center of the whirlwind. An idea struck his head, an idea he never had before.

He held the handstand a little longer instead of retaining and dismounting, like he intended. He reached the center, felt the sudder of the board, and knew what was happening. He was being launched extremely high in the air. Luckily it was a small whirlwind or he would've accidentally caught one of the higher wind currents and it was hard to dismount from those.

His grand finale. He front-flipped a few times in the air. The board started to drop. He changed the weight in his body barely, so he could fall faster. Would he catch up to it.

Yes! He landed feet first on the disc and started gliding back down to the fire, where everyone was at. He changed his weight back to normal right before he touched the ground. He picked up the light disc, pushed a button, and the disc shrank to the quarter size it was from the beginning.

"And that's how you wind surf, folks," he smiled and bowed.

Param Nair

She's young. The thought floated to the forefront of his mind as the woman perched on the front of the machine responded emphatically to his statement of greeting. This encounter could go so many various directions, and during the course of his lifetime he'd experienced them all; unfortunately her youth did not bode well. When thinking of all the positive experiences he'd had interacting with his own kind, those involving the newer recruits very rarely made the list- although in their defense, the list was not overly long. Six centuries and he'd yet to meet another of his kind he could stand for more than fifty years or so, if they lasted so long. Of course, more than half of them had been lost to the cause, but that still left a large number he'd parted ways with under less than favorable circumstances.

Recollections cut short by the sound of creaking metal and shifting fabric, Param turned obsidian eyes back toward the blonde only to find her sliding from the metal beast onto the black asphalt that stretched beneath his feet. "I'm Nezzera or Zara for short." Well, at least this one had the decency to introduce herself. Uncrossing his arms to slide a hand through long, raven locks, the ancient elemental offered her a sardonic grin before his own introduction. "Param. Param Nair," he supplied in a voice accented more heavily than that he had used to speak moments before. When speaking his own name it was difficult to affect the unaccented English he'd perfected as the language had become more prominent within the world. To cover up the obvious flaw, Param hurriedly added a smooth comment, "I won't be overly offended if you find it difficult to pronounce." It wasn't just a rouse, however, as he had found that his name often proved a challenge to the current generation who had little exposure to languages of Asian origin.

Their conversation was interrupted by the roaring of air being set alight, followed by a strange luminescence that flowed all about them. "Ah, so the hotheads have arrived," he sighed as his gaze lingered on the woman before him. Param need not turn his head to see the whirling light show playing about the sky, obviously ignited by one of the fire benders lurking somewhere within the temple. Flamboyant displays such as these always seemed to arise whenever those with flames in their hands were involved, as if it was inherent to their element. Cockiness and foolhardy behavior. They never grew up.

His hand once more returned to his face- the tattoos fanning across his wrist twisting in the light of the flames- this time to press the heel of his palm into his forehead. "Would you," Param drawled without looking at the blonde before him, "mind doing something about that?"

Cole woke up, rested after his long walk, he looked towards the exit of the cave and saw more people there. I guess I should introduce myself, to get it out of the way, Cole thought as he got up and started walking in the direction of all the people. I only hope that they don't expect me to have a conversation.

Cole walked up to the group as he heard someone say their name "Param. Param Nair." Param Nair? Hmmm... Cole cleared his throat as he entered the crowd, and spoke in a rough voice, that probably hadn't ben used for a couple days "Hi, my name is Cole Williams" and with that Cole was quiet.

"I'm sure I'll manage Param." Zara only said his name to highlight the fact she could and it was joined with a confident smirk almost instantly. Zara often smirked but it was something that she rarely did in front of elementals then again she hadn't seen another elemental since...well a long time ago.

Originally Nezzera was confused to what Param wanted to fixing his wrist or the irritating light the fire kids were playing with. "If you mean those lot I'd happily slip something nasty in their drinks..." It was hard to tell if she was joking because her amused smile changed to concentration as she waved her hand above her head creating a dark screen shading her eyes from the hotheaded childish kids playing with fire.

When Cole introduced himself Nezzera's eyes narrowed slightly but realising how shy he was made her want to laugh. Bloody light elementals. Already bored of wasting thoughts on her sworn enemy she turned her attention away from him.

Zara eyed the other elements dryly seeming bored and tired. None of them made her feel anything. She wasn't intimidated or frightened or even fascinated or curious not that she could see anything intimidating about being beaten to death with a pansy- that had always been how she pictured Earth Elements fighting despite knowing it was entirely fiction and never happened the thought still amused her to think they'd be that lame and pathetic but Zara knew better then to underestimate a person- especially when they can control an element, that could only end badly.

Zara smiled at the purple cloud admiring it's dark aura and Gothic colouring. It reminded her of midnight and the witching hour. Nezzera smiled sadly and whispered to herself "I wish it always night and never day..." The emotion vanished as quickly as the thought did when Zara remembered that she had left her weapons in the car. She didn't trust these people and despite she could manage with out she lobed the feeling of metal brushing her skin. She slid off the bonnet and snaked around the car opening the door swiftly before grabbing a pair of knives and a long thin whip that looped around her belt out the glove box.

She looped the whip around her hip tying it on the belt loop and the two knives disappeared up the sleeves off her black leather jacket. She'd done this so many times she'd finally mastered doing it without cutting or stabbing herself and no one ever suspects there to be two once they've found one. Zara smirked satisfied.
. "I'm sorry what were we talking about?"

Dani Smith

A brusk wind screamed down through the branches of the trees, settling the leaves to rattling furiously, before flowing downward to wrap itself around the forms lingering on the side of the two-lane road. The chilling blanket lay itself across the stalled-out retro Impala, its hood open to the cold, as well as the car's driver, leaning against the front bumper. Although the metal vehicle remained impassive to the sudden breeze, the woman was not so fortunate. The chill cut through the thin fabric of the azure dress concealing her slender frame, sending fabric flapping around her legs in waves and pinpricks of goose skin crawling up her arms. In any usual situation, she would have instantly fled to the comfort of the old leather interior or at least crossed her arms in an attempt to retain heat. This, however, was not any sort of normal and as it was, her hands were needed.

Hovering inches from the open interior of the hood, the driver's hands fluttered minutely with the hum of power flowing through them. Around the outstretched palms vapors of heat swirled, and beneath them a vortex of silvery watery spun. Although it was a mundane use for such a splendid gift- one that many of her kind might frown upon- it was a useful one. The car was a prized possession of her's, and despite its long list of defects she couldn't stand to give it up. When she'd spotted the sleek black vehicle parked in the dealership, brand new off the assembly line, she hadn't been able to resist. Of course that had been nigh-on forty years ago and the Impala was no longer the specimen it had once been, but she couldn't bring herself to let it go and besides, retro was coming back into fashion. So, no matter how many times the once magnificent vehicle left her stranded on the side of the road, heat radiating from beneath its hood, she wouldn't send it to the scrap yard.

Surely the queerly-garbed, petite Asian woman standing before the slowly smoking classic muscle car was an odd sight to the cars that passed by on the road, but at this point in her nearly two hundred years of existence- Dani was content to be viewed as irregular. Not much had changed since the late eighteenth century some aspects- surely there was the advent of the car she stood before as well as the cellular device pumping pop music into stale atmosphere which lay across the front bumper- but people were always the same, never quite accepting what was different from them. Which was why she was now standing on the side of a nearly deserted high way in six-inch heels and a chiffon dress, alone and unaided.

After what seemed an eternity, the vapors began to abate- and not just because the wind had blown them off into the atmosphere. A sigh escaped her, as Dani retracted her hands- the globe of water swirling around and between her fingers. With a gentle flick of her wrist the energetic flow of liquid slid it's way down her arms and into the open canister hanging from a strap across her shoulder. Time had taught her more than the ability to cool an overheated engine. Another small motion sent the top swirling home, a thin trickle of the water closing the cap with no physical contact required. Shutting the hood of the engine, however, was not so easily done. Even with the extra inches adding to her petite frame, Dani was forced to leap upward repeatedly before her fingers could grasp the lip of the metal. Stilettoed feet hanging far above the ground, for a moment the young woman cursed her lack of body-mass. Grunting in an unlady-like manner, she swung her frame repeatedly downward until the Impala gave in- it's metal hood creaking shut with a vengeance.

"Finally," she crooned as she patted the ebony hood on her way back to the driver's seat- gravel crunching beneath her prancing heels, "Thank you Baby." Now she could continue on her projected course. Arriving late was better than not arriving at all, she could only hope her small detour didn't make her the last member of the party to show. Nothing drew more attention than walking in when everyone had already been introduced.

The classic car crawled its way up the side of the mountain, its driver wary now of sending the car into another bout of engine trouble. As she drove, Dani's dark gaze lifted from the road and caught sight of duel columns of smoke rising ahead of her- one much closer than the other. Instantly her eyebrows dropped and her foot pressed down upon the gas more firmly. Within minutes she had turned a curve to find a smoking pile of wreckage. Had she not been in a rush, she would have paused to assess the source of the damage and see what could be salvaged. Instead she chose to manually role down the window and lean out as she passed, her hand stretching out to fan downward. Within seconds the fires were being quenched, smoke swirling upward to meet the heavy showers that descended solely upon the flaming wreckage.

Ignoring the storm that raged behind her, Daniella continued to drive forward foot by treacherous foot. FInally the obsidian automobile rolled its way into the crowded area spanning the front entrances of the Earth temple to which she'd been called. The Impala crunched to a stop beside another vehicle, parking a foot or so back to leave room for the pair of elementals standing before the bumper of the other vehicle. Once the engine had gone silent, she slid out from behind the wheel to gaze awkwardly at the people before her.

As the darkness Nezzera worshiped as nighttime crawled in she started to detach herself from the group before spinning on her heel and running off her Combat boots kicking up mud and dust behind her. Zara smiled and leapt up into the air. A dark purple hand rose out the ground catching her without the smirking blonde feeling a thing.

She stood tall on the shadow and instructed it up and forward. Soon she was hovering above the temple shading the ground a sickly shade of purple and then the hand lowered her slim body depositing her athletic frame on the temple roof.

The view was spectacular but Zara was only here to be closer to the dark sky. She stood as tall as she could letting the wind batter her hair and skin. Her eyes seemed to glow purple and her pale skin shimmered white. This was what Zara called her 'Happy hour'. The dead of the night when her powers were at their strongest.

She stayed there for hours generating black and purple shapes out of her element happy to be alone and perfectly content with how dark and powerful she felt.

A black tiger hunted a bright purple antelope, when the tiger got close Zara would move the antelope faster forcing an ever annoyed look on the tiger's face until Zara closed her palm and the image died. The glow in her eye grew darker until they were black bottomless pits again and Zara sulked on the roof as the sun began to rise.

Zara despite not sleeping knew she wouldn't be tired later. Years old rebelling at midnight every day made it so natural to not require much sleep, but she'd need a quick cap nap later if she wanted to do anything straining.

Her boredom clear and annoyance even more so she climbed steadily down the temple jumping the last metre like a cat- also a trick she'd practice as a kid at midnight. Then again Zara did everything at midnight.

Param Nair

"There are much more entertaining ways to dispatch such irritating little sparks," Param supplied nonchalantly in response to her offer, obsidian eyes flicking from the blonde before him to the pair that had disappeared into one of the cavernous tunnels lining the mountain, the occasional spark flaring into the air to remind him of their presence. Irritating was a small word to describe the feelings fire elementals brought out in him; if this one continued to act as irrationally as he had thus far, Param would be adding another tattoo to his arm by the end of the next day. He'd consented to this gathering out of curiosity more than anything, but every second was reminding him why he had spent so long avoiding the other elements and making him wonder why it'd been so long since he'd added to the sleeve inching its way across his arm.

A sudden shadow overhead caught his attention and he peered upward through the fringe of his hair to see a banner of starless black spanning the sky above their heads. "Nearly what I wanted," he muttered to himself with a shrug as he once more ran a hand through the shaggy pieces falling into his face, "I suppose I should be a bit more... specific." His instruction disguised as an inquiry hadn't gotten the specific reaction he'd desired to see, but her actions had proved to sway his opinion at least a little in her favor. To complete the task he'd hoped her to finish, Param's fingers flicked into the air. Instantly his eyes clouded over into pure blackness as a shadow the same shade washed out to wrap around the remaining sparks and extinguish them into nothingness. Once its job was finished he released the shade into the atmosphere, vapors of it smoking away to wrap around the body of the wind elemental before the fading into the night. Had the darkness of the sky not arrived when it did, he would have allowed the shadow to stay as a comfort to himself and the other night dweller; however, since the stars now shone above them he let it go its own way.

The familiar click of weapons caused him to turn from the slowly lightening sky, only to be greeted by a slender man who had appeared to offer a self-introduction to the small group he'd entered into. Just the scent of the new comer made his nose wrinkle in disgust and his fingers inch toward the handgun stuffed in the back of his grey jeans. He forced his hands to remain still- reminding himself of the "diplomatic" arena in which he stood- as he faced the light bringer feet from him. "A pleasure," Param offered with a sardonic grin to the quiet man before him, "I'm sure it is for you, at least. Lucky we met here." In all his nearly seven centuries he'd not had a single peaceable conversation with a bearer of the element naturally opposed to his, and yet here he was breathing the same air as one- without even a weapon in hand. The thought of weapons reminded him that he'd caught sight of the blonde arming up in the corner of his eye, so when she appeared again he shrugged, "Well nothing too important... Killing mostly."

Dark eyes turned from her dismissively as she appeared to have her attention drawn to something else. Param wasn't surprised when she detached herself from them and disappeared into the night, he'd known more than a few of his kind that were irresistibly drawn to being close to the blackness above. Now alone other than the light elemental and the new arrival- a woman encased in blue who stood beside a sleek black metal beast-, he allowed himself to sink onto a nearby rock to wait out this strange meeting.

Wayne opened his eyes to the bright blue sky, the sun shining in the east where it had recently risen. He smiled. He'd slept well last night. Routinely, he climbed out of bed and began to walk when he realized where he was.

So that's why he had slept so peacefully. He was in his natural habitat. He saw a cloud flying over his head sometime after he'd performed his little tricks. He decided to rest there. He smiled, chuckling at his decision. It felt like he was sleeping on air because he was sleeping on air. It was laughable.

He pulled out his GPS to take a look at how far he'd drifted in the night. Not very far at all, only about fourty miles. He could fly back in less than five minutes. He took a look at the ground, far below him. He smiled, then took a leap of faith, diving into the sky below him as if it were an olympic swimmer diving into a pool.

He pulled up at the last second and was now hovering above the ground, almost gliding above the earth above him. He sped across unfamiliar landscape, his only guide being the GPS. He saw the temple right away, and flew slower and slower as he approached. His feet touched the ground as he entered the temple where people were waking up.

"Like sleeping on air," he joked, grabbing a protien bar and taking a bite. "How are y'all today?"
