Eye Color

A bright crystalline blue

Hair Color

A golden blonde

Height

5'7

Weight

142 Ibs

Scars/Tattoos

Claire has little scars all over from spending lots of time outside
playing when she was little. Claire also has a tattoo that her and
her best friend got on the back of their necks for Claire's 17th birthday.

Overall Appearance

Claire's wavy blonde hair, blue orbs, and feminine body are enough to turn heads, but her cold eyes and almost constantly unamused face usually cause them to run. Her emotionless face gives away very little as to what she's thinking, not to mention that she's very unlikely to tell you. Claire's eyes seem to see right through people, yet she has a hard time making eye contact when she's talking to someone. The way Claire keeps to herself and rolls her eyes at people makes her appear like she thinks she's better than others. But the way she crosses her arms over her chest and keeps her head down makes her appear insecure. She usually just wears simple t-shirts and skinny jeans.

Element

Ice/Snow

Definition

Ice Manipulation:

The ability to manipulate cold and ice. Sub-power of Thermal
Manipulation, variation of Water Manipulation. The opposite of
Magma Manipulation.

Snow Manipulation:

The ability to manipulate snow. Sub-power of Weather Manipulation,
variation of Ice Manipulation and Precipitation Manipulation.

Limitations

~ Claire can not form ice/snow in temperatures exceeding 97 degrees Fahrenheit
~ There must be some type of moisture in the air for Claire to form ice/snow, or else she must drain the water from someone's body
~ Claire can only form a limited amount of snow or ice seeing as it drains her energy freezing the water

Strengths

~ Claire can freeze any form of water not matter if it's rain, ocean water, lake water, river water, pond water (I think you get the point...), or just water particles in the air
~ Claire can trap or encase any object or person in ice

Weaknesses

~ The only way Claire can form water if none is present is by draining it from someone's body
~ Claire can not form ice/snow if it is to hot
~ Claire can not freeze to much water or else she loses all of her energy
~ Claire's powers seem to come out on their own when she gets to emotional, though it usually just causes things to ice over

Secret

Claire is aware that her mother is cheating on her father and has another family. Claire often sneaks out to go spend time with her younger half-brother named Finney.

Personality

Claire's a lot like snow in many ways. So cold that it can kill you if you don't take proper precautions, yet extremely delicate at the same time. Underneath Claire's cold, distant outer shell is a genuinely kind and nurturing person. Of course, to find this you first have to get past Claire's piercing glare. While Claire won't do anything to provoke a person (usually...), she's not exactly the easiest person to get along with at first. But if you can make it past her initial coldshoulder and slip past the walls she's built around herself, you'll find that Claire's a completely different person then the impression she gives off. Claire's quite the awkward socializer, never quite knowing what to say, not mention that it's hard for her to express her emotions. She's quite the nurturing person however, always trying to keep others out of trouble, and often switching places with others when they are asked to do difficult tasks (Although she'll usually make up some reason as to why she should do it instead, rather than just admitting that she wants to help them). Claire is also quite loyal and protective, she'd gladly risk her life to save someone else's. Yet once you do something to ruin her trust in yourself, your likely to never gain it back. Due to events in Claire's past, she's wary to give out her trust, and once you prove to her that you don't deserve her trust, she's most likely to never trust you again.

History

Claire had always had trouble making friends. She was born an only child and it was usually just Claire and her dad since her mother was always at work, or away on business trips. And while Claire loved her father, he was more of that awkward first time parent that didn't know what to do with a kid rather than an outgoing one that helped her come out of her shell. These factors made socializing very difficult and awkward for Claire, seeing how she wasn't used to it and wasn't great at expressing herself. But of course just like everyone eventually does, Claire did manage to make a few friends over the years. Her best friend turned out to be a boy named Chad, and while Claire's parents weren't to fond of their daughter always hanging around a boy, Chad turned out to be just the thing Claire needed. The two were polar opposites, while Claire was bad at expressing her feelings, Chad was probably the happiest person you could ever meet. It was this charisma that made the two best friends, and Chad even helped introduce Claire to more friends. Chad would force Claire to hang out with his other friends at lunch and recess, and eventually they found away into Claire's growing group of friends as well. Life was good for Claire after that, the only thing she wished for was that she could get more time to spend with her mother. But changed when Claire turned 12 and learned of her mother's secret. Claire's father had sent her on an errand to go get some groceries from the convenience store. After she'd gotten the groceries and was heading home, she happened to turn down a street that would change her whole mindset forever. While walking, Claire noticed the door to one of the houses in the neighborhood open, and out stepped someone who looked very familiar. The grocery bags fell out of Claire's hands as she watched her mother kiss a strange man goodbye before heading to her car that was parked out in front. Running to hide in the bushes, young Claire watched as her mother drove away. Claire hadn't realized she'd been staring off into space until she felt someone tugging on her sleeve. Looking down, Claire found a boy who couldn't have been older than 7 staring up at her with very familiar eyes. They happened to look exactly like Claire's own eyes, which had been a trait given to her by her mother. "Why were you watching my mommy?" the young boy asked in a sweet, tiny voice. And that's when it all came together, the reason why her mother was never at home, the reason her mother had kissed that man, and the reason that this boy had the same eyes as her. Claire had simply responded to the boy, saying that his mom was also hers. But they both made a promise then and there, out on the street, to tell neither of their fathers about the other. While Claire knew that her father had the right to know, she could stand the thought of crushing him with that news. After learning her mother's secret, Claire couldn't look at her the same, she grew cold to her mother, and learned to avoid her, the young girl would even go as far as to say that she hated her mother. But this also caused Claire to grow even more wary of giving out her trust to just about anyone. The two half siblings started to meet secretly and the local playground in the morning every Saturday and Sunday. Claire hadn't told anyone about her half-brother, who she learned was named Finney, not even Chad, who continued to be her best friend throughout the years. Claire had always wanted a sibling, and she came to love Finney with every fiber of her being. She constantly worried that her mother would find out that Claire knew about him and take Finney away. She couldn't let that happen, what the woman was doing was already wrong, she couldn't separate two siblings as well. This constant worrying continued for a few year before another bombshell hit Claire a few weeks before her 17th birthday. Chad's family was moving out of the state to be with family. The boy that had first befriended Claire all those years ago, and helped her make even more friends was going away. Not to mention that in the middle of all the confusion that was now Claire's life, she was about 85% sure that she had fallen in love with him. Chad was leaving the day after Claire's birthday, and she told herself that she was going to tell him how she felt before he left. But when Claire's birthday finally arrived, what did she do? She got matching tattoos with Chad. Then the next day he left and she was all alone. That was kind of like the final nail in Claire's coffin. That's when the ice queen fully emerged, in more ways than one. Not only had Claire grown colder to people, but she also happed to be pacing in her room one night while thinking about Chad, when she reached full irritation and chucked a pillow at the wall. Only to have it explode into hundreds of shards of ice. Stumbling back, Claire had ran into the opposite wall as the ice pillow and slipped down as the entire wall iced over. That night was spent blow drying her wall before anyone saw. Claire spent a lot of her alone time now ether talking with Finney or practicing her new fond abilities. Life's just a bundle of confusion, but then again, isn't that what makes it interesting?

"I'm off!" Roselli calls out to her grandmother as she races down the stairs. There is still plenty of time before school starts, and her grandma knows that, for she gives Roselli "the look". That look that says 'what are you up to now'. Rose knows it all too well, still her grandmother thinks it best to ask "why so early? You're not the punctual type" she jokes in her heavy Spanish accent. "Ay abuela, must you be so openly suspicions of me first thing in the morning?" she teases back as she grabs her daily cup of espresso. Extra strong, just how she likes it. She takes a sip and hums softly. "I do when it's the first time you've left early for school in... well, years". Rose can't help but smile and pecks her grandma on the cheek. "Better late than never, right?" and with that she hurries out of the kitchen. "Take good care of grandma, Bacon!" she instructs as she gently pats her tiny pet pig on her way out the door.

It seems like the perfect day out today, unfortunately Roselli will have to spend the majority of it in school. Still, there's no reason she couldn't enjoy it now. The breeze ruffles her hair and dress as her purple gladiator sandals make their way up the street to a small flower shop. She quietly steps inside and buys the usual; red carnations and yellow roses, then continues on her way. Rose hates keeping things from her grandmother, she really does, but she has something important to do and telling her about it would surely worry her. The closer she gets, the colder it feels. The cemetery gates somehow look taller today. She strolls passed them, straight to the first pair of matching headstones and gently lays the roses down. She lingers a few minutes, then continues on to another headstone further down. She comes to a stop and brushes away a few leaves before setting down the carnations. "I'm back" she mutters as she crouches down in front of it. Her eyes skim over the name plate as she stares in a daze and before she knows it, 20 or so minutes have raced by. She quickly gets to her feet and rushes out. She thinks about texting Claire or Delaney, but eventually decides not to bother them so early in the morning. As she walks she feels a slight sting on her right pinky. Looking down at it she realizes she must have cut it with one of the rose thorns. With no time left to even look for a bandaid, she puts the finger between her lips and continues on her way to school.

As Rosalli steps closer to the school, she immediately recognizes the Black BMW parked outside. Despite how much she wants to say hello to the Griffins, she determines that her best choice is to avoid Ophelia at all costs. So she does. She quickly crosses over to the other side of the street and makes a u-turn towards the entrance of the school. She sends a quick wave their way and steps through the big doors. On her way in she decides to text the girls after all. She takes her phone out and quickly sends out a group text.

[to:] Laney, Claire-Bear, Mina
[from] Rose
-Guess who's at school bright and early today! :3-

She heads towards her locker and smiles slightly when she sees Mina up ahead. Despite being early, there's no way Rose would ever make it to school before her. As she walks closer, she immediately spots a certain Russian walking up ahead. Not that it'd be hard to spot him, given that the sea of students part like the red sea as he walks passed them. Rose wonders if he enjoys that, or if he's ever wanted something different, like a friend maybe. She sighs softly and strolls passed him, raising her own cup of coffee and offering him alight smile. "Good morning!" and continues on her way before he has a chance to mess with her like he usually does. Not that she minds it, but something tells her he'd have something to say about her "punctuality", so she continues to walk towards her locker, just a few ahead of Mina's.

Claire trudged into the school with her hands wrapped tightly around a cup of coffee. She'd had to go to the local coffee shop to get some rather than drink her usual cup at home before heading to school. The reason behind this was none other than the fact that Claire and her mother had gotten into yet another argument this morning, causing Claire to storm out with out even eating breakfast.

The text she'd received from Rosalli only caused her to hurry to school even quicker. Why was she there so early? Rose wasn't exactly the type to show up somewhere so early. Yawning, Claire pushed it out of her mind as she took a sip of her coffee. She'd just have to ask her friend for herself. Deciding to speak with Rosalli first rather than head to her own locker, Claire made her way down the hall.

Recognizing the figure trapping Rose against the lockers, Claire couldn't help but groan. 'It's to freaking early for this...'
She thought to herself as she walked up behind the two. Grabbing Nicholai's collar, she used the element of surprise to fling him away from her friend. Then, knowing that she'd regret it later, Claire proceeded to take the cap off of her coffee and dump the remaining contents of the cup over his head. Looking straight into Nicholai's eyes, Claire said warningly, "Now, unless you want a repeat of what just happened, I wouldn't lay a finger on Rosalli again."Walking away from the now coffee drenched male, Claire took her friend's hand and dragged her away.

Once they had gotten far enough away, Claire turned to look at Rosalli. "Are you ok? That idiot didn't touch you, did he?" Shaking her head, Claire reached into her bag and produced a smaller paper one from it. Handing the bag containing a cinnamon roll to Rose, Claire's gaze dropped to the ground, "I, uh, got this for you from the coffee shop...". Folding her arms over her chest, Claire looked back up at the older girl and nodded down the hall, "Now come on, I haven't stopped by my locker yet." It didn't exactly occurr to Claire that she had just dumped coffee on the one kid that everyone at school was afraid of, all she cared about at that moment was that Rosalli was ok, and that her coffee was wasted.

He was waiting for an answer, honestly Nicholai had wanted to talk to Rose, but he wasn't very good with interacting. . . Then he was about to give up when Claire came trotting down the hallway spouting about something. Then before he could react, coffee.

Boiling hot liquid dumped on his head, there was still steam rising off of it in wafts. Without even flinching he wiped it off of his face, he glared after Claire. Luckily for her, he was on a no killing diet. He sighed and noted his T-shirt was sopping wet, so he took it off. Some women close by started up cat-calls. All of a sudden he wasn't scary, he was a sex icon. With a growl he marched down the hallway. Easily passing Claire's speed. With a glower he twitched and then smiled at Claire and Rose before speaking.

"Thanks. For the coffee. Next time you want to harm me, try harder." Although she could see his face and shoulders had indeed been burned pretty horribly by the coffee. It was like it didn't phase him. With a nod to Rose and a threatening smile at Claire, he turned and headed for his locker, he had a spare shirt in there. . .

Everything happened so quickly, Rose barely had a moment to think. When her senses finally returned, Nicholai was already walking away. She just barely noticed the burns and immediately felt bad. She looked up at Claire with wide eyes, and a small giggle escaped her lips. "Good morning Claire bear, I can't believe you just did that!" and she immediately wondered if everything was okay. Taking the roll from her, she smiled slightly as she walked alongside her to her locker. "Thanks you for that. But he honestly didn't do anything. That's just his way of communicating." and she was telling the truth. Through the time she has known Nicholai, she's mastered the art of reading him pretty accurately, though it's not always spot on. She hoped he wouldn't make a new target out of Claire now, though she was almost certain he'll make it a point to bug here even more now. She's more than aware that Claire is capable of taking care of herself, but she also knows that Nic's teasing would definitely get under her skin, whereas Rose doesn't mind it.

With that, she makes a mental note to apologize to him for what had just happened. She hopes the coffee wasn't too unbearably hot. And just a few seconds later, she realizes that that same coffee he is now wearing was probably the only source of breakfast for Clare this morning. She comes to a stop in front of her friend and takes her hands, wrapping them around her own cup of coffee. "I'm not taking no for an answer, so just accept it." she instructs with a slight smile and returns to walk by her side. As she walks, she takes out her phone and sends Nicholai a quick text.

[To]Nic
[From] Rose
-Sorry about that! She means well. But I guess you'll never know why I came to school so early XP-

She waits a few seconds before sending the next one.

[To]Nic
[From] Rose

"Well, I'll see ya later Victor... I guess", Lucy walked into the building and approached her locker. She looked around, usually stuff was already happening. She looked over and saw Claire pouring coffee over Nicholai's head, she whispered to herself, "He gets what he deserves", she didn't exactly know what was happening but she didn't like the boy. She grabbed her books and was walking into her first class, History, she always felt a little lonely at class, she was younger than most of her friends, but she was top in the class, perfect attendance, sometimes she wondered why she wasn't put ahead, but it was probably because most of the class are morons and the teacher deserves a bit of intelligence in the room. She walked into class, first one there besides the teacher of course. She pulled out her phone and text Claire and Rose.

[To: Rosy, Claire]
[From: Lucy]
[msg: What was that all about? Was it Douche Baggins again?]

She didn't usually swear, it wasn't in her nature, but she just can't stop it with some people. She put her phone away and sat quietly as students walked in one by one, must of them looked pretty bored like they had nothing else to do with their lives, Lucy was reading before class started, it would only be around twenty minutes, she heard people groaning, throwing papers around, clicking their tongue, it was irritating when she was just trying to finish a book, she ignored it though. She whispered to herself "Can people be quiet? Jeez, some others just want some peace... for once"

Sorry in advance if I get the American school stuff wrong guys, I'm not in America and I don't really understand all of it yet, soooo yeah... :P

Claire couldn't help but wince as Nicholai stepped in front of her. It wasn't because of the piercing glare he gave her, that she was expecting, but from the burns that coved the top half of his body. She hadn't meant to burn him, I mean, yeah, it was coffee, but she hadn't expected it to hurt him.

Claire just sighed as her and Rose began walking down the hall to her locker. Although Claire wanted to decline taking Rose's coffee, she knew that she wouldn't take no for an answer. So she just smiled warily at her and mumbled a thank you."That's his way of communicating, huh? Well then I guess that I'll have to make a to never start a conversation with him..." Claire joked as they reached her locker.

Putting in her combination, she opened the locker and began pulling out the books she'd need for that day. Claire could hear Rosalli texting someone on her phone and a thought suddenly popped into her head. "Hey... You don't... like Nicholai, right? Like, like like?" Turning to look at Rose, she quickly added, "I mean, who you like is your business! But... please tell me that I didn't just pour coffee all over your crush's head..."

Suddenly distracted by her cell phone chiming, she turned it on to see a text from Lucy. Griffin? Opening the text, Claire couldn't help but laugh a little. She had to admit, the wording was a bit surprising coming from the younger girl, but it was pretty funny none the less.

[To: Lucy]
[From: Claire]
[msg: Well, from what I saw, Nicholai was sandwiching Rose against the lockers... and what goes better with a sandwich than coffee?]

Claire normally would never have sent a message like that to anyone, save Rosalli and maybe Delaney, but she knew that she couldn't be cold to Lucy. She seemed to innocent and sweet for that.

Turning back to Rosalli, Claire smiled a little. "Maybe I should say sorry to Nicholai later when you go to heal him," She couldn't help but smirk, of course she'd been able to tell who Rose had been texting, "You know, you're pretty easy to read.".

Bang bang bang.

“Nathan!” she screamed as she pounded on the door. No response. “Nathaaaaan!” she tried again, her patience being tested. Again, no response. The sixteen year old furrowed her brow and balled her fists up as she shrieked, “NAAAAAAAAAATHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!” The running water quickly stopped and she crossed her arms as the bathroom door opened. “What?” he hissed at her, his soapy head peaking out from behind the door. “I have to shower!”

“That’s not my fault.”

“Uh, yes it is?”

“Maybe if you showered last night...”

“Well maybe if you weren’t stinking up the bathroom last night I could have!” Delaney yelled, clearly pissed. Her cousin slammed the door in her face, locking it afterwards. The girl huffed and stomped to her room to get ready for school. Unbelievable, she thought. As she rummaged through her closet and dresser drawers for clothes, she heard her mom call up to her, giving her the usual twenty minute warning. “Coming!” Delaney hurriedly threw an outfit together and slipped it on, applying a light layer of makeup and pulling her hair up into a messy bun after. She checked herself out in the full body mirror hanging on the back of her bedroom door and rushed downstairs to the kitchen.

”Good morning, sunshine.” Her mother smiled at her as Delaney slid into the empty seat. The table was covered in food. From eggs and bacon to cereal and fruits. Delaney raised an eyebrow at all the food and looked quizzically at her mother. Usually, Delaney and Nathan were lucky if they got an apple or a piece of toast in the morning before school. It wasn't that her parent's didn't feed them, Delaney and Nathan just never had time to eat or her parents didn't get up in time to cook. “What’s the occasion?” she inquired. “Oh, nothing. I just have a feeling today is going to be special. You know, something different.” The teen just stared at her mother as she shoveled eggs and bacon into her mouth, washing it down with orange juice. “Well, let’s just see how today plays out.”

Just as she finished her breakfast, Nathan came down fully dressed. He grabbed a piece of toast and munched on it as he took the rest of the eggs and started polishing them off. Delaney rolled her eyes and walked to the door, grabbing her white backpack and swinging it over her shoulder. Just as she walked out the door, she felt her phone buzz. She scrolled through her notifications until she found the texts and responded quickly to each.

TO: Mina

I’m running late because of you know who. Asshole wouldn’t step out of the shower. -.- I’ll be at school in 5! We’ll walk tomorrow, alright?

TO: Rose

Let me guess. Hmm, Nic?(-;

She put her phone away as she reached school. The walk was short, only about 5 minutes considering Delaney was practically running. She walked through the doors and went to her locker, roughly 7 removed from Nicholai’s. She glanced over at the male as she rummaged through her locker, getting the appropriate books for her first period class. He seemed to be looking for something, and then she noticed he was shirtless. She did a double take and pursed her lips to keep from laughing. One of, if not the scariest guy in school was shirtless. What a sight! She got her books and made her way to Rose’s locker. As she passed the male she noticed his shoulders and her mouth made a small ‘o’. A grin quickly formed on her face as she found her friends, Claire and Rose, ready to bombard them with questions. She quickly found them and leaned against the lockers, smiling. “So, uh...why is Mr. Tough-N-Scary shirtless? Why does he have burn blisters all over him? What in the hell did I miss?”

Meanwhile, Nathan made his way to his locker. He had left the house about 4 minutes after his cousin, and while he wasn’t late, he was certainly pressed for time. Nathan was never someone who was concerned with arriving on time, so getting to class late didn’t bother him. However, the unnecessary production of being late did. He hummed softly as he got to his locker and emptied his school bag. He collected what was necessary for classes and shut his locker. He shifted his books to his left arm as he took his phone out with his right and sent a quick text.

TO: Ophelia, RiRi

Do you lovely ladies already have plans tonight?(-; Or are you unfortunately busy?

He hit send and started wandering the halls. He knew he’d come across someone eventually, but who it would be he didn’t know and didn’t care.

Roselli laughed as Claire joked about Nic, thinking it was always nice to see her like this. When suddenly- "Hey... You don't... like Nicholai, right? Like, like like?". Saying that the question caught her off guard was an understatement. Rose could only blink and stare at her friend as she tried to figure out a way to answer that. "Dear God, no!". Realizing that must have sounded pretty bad, she attempted to clarify. "NOT that he's not likable but, I mean...". She grunts, frustrated that she can't quite explain what she's thinking, and leans against the lockers. "I just... don't think I can like anyone that way for...a long while." She decides to leave it at that, assuming Claire will understand what she means. She is very clever, apparently too clever. Or maybe Rose is just easy to read like she says. "Were you reading over my shoulder? Claire-Bear I am shocked" Rose states matter-of-factly. Really, how else would she had known what she sent him? Not that she actually minded. Or was she truly that easy to read? She hopes that's not the case.

Before putting up her phone she quickly texts Lucy back.

[From Rose]
[To Lucy]
-Let's just say Claire-bear got a tad carried away XP what am I going to do with her, I wonder u.u-
-P.s. good morning :3-

Then quickly puts her phone away and turns back to her friend. "I don't even think he'll take me up on the offer, too much of a hardass for that sort of thing I'm guessing" she jokes, and smiles when she sees Delaney heading their way. For the first time in forever, Rose had actually made it to school before her. The world can officially come to an end now. "Good morning! Who's getting to school late now?" she teases with a slight nudge of the shoulder. "And as for Nic, I think Claire-bear can clarify that for you". She said this, because there was now something else troubling her aside from the guilt of the boy's burns. Claire seemed slightly irritated and uneasy when she walked into the school earlier, and now Delaney had barely managed to make it to school on time. To others it would seem silly, but it worries her. She does a quick search of the halls, wondering if she can spot a certain someone, and indeed she does. Nathan seems uneasy as well, even if she only spots him from a distance. She immediately guesses they had yet another argument, which only worries her more.

Standing at his locker Nicholai noted women were eying him. Great. With a growl he shot them all a look that said 'mess with me and I'll kill you without a thought.' Reaching into the back of his locker he fumbled about until he found his backup shirt. Pulling it out he noticed it was a pink V-neck. A shiver of seething rage flowed through him as he slipped it on, it was too tight. It showed off his muscles insanely well, although the collar was wide, it showed off his newly forged burns.

His phone beeped at him, the notification was a horror scream. The woman's shrill voice made Nicholai smile. On the screen he saw messages from Rose. Curious.

[To]Nic
[From] Rose
-Sorry about that! She means well. But I guess you'll never know why I came to school so early XP-

[To]Nic
[From] Rose
-find me later. I'll fix those burns for you-

He waited a beat, then untrue to form, for once he responded. He usually never did.

[To]Rose
[From]Nic
-I'd love for you to help me, these burns hurt really badly :,( are you mad? Is that why you sent your friend to maim me? I'm awfully sorry Rosie. . .Also, why were you at school so early, did ya' come to see me? ;)-

An evil smirk played across his features as he slipped his phone away, he never felt any pain, he never did or would. However causing Rose some emotional pain. . . The thought was arousing indeed. With a happy whistle, Nicholai headed into class, excited for after school. To be healed by Rose.

Unintentionally tuning out of Claire and Delaney’s conversation, Rosalli watches as Ophelia struts up beside Nathan and clings to his arm. She sighs, deciding to postpone her plans of talking to him. Ophelia aside, Nate is always surrounded by or with girls. Reaching him during school would be almost impossible. Still, Rose is determined. It’s been bothering her more and more recently, so she has to ask him. And soon. She quickly takes her phone out and texts him.

[To Nate]
[From Rose]
[I need to ask you something, whenever you can make some time for little ol’ me]

And just as she’s about to put her phone up, it whistles loudly, nearly giving her a heart attack. She brings it back up, and îs more than surprised when she sees the name on the screen. Nic? She opens it curiously and reads. Now she’s not only surprised that he responded, but even more surprised that he accepted her help. She taps her finger on the side f it a few times then starts typing away.

[To Nic]
[From Rose]
[You’re so very full of surprises today. I’m sorry that they hurt ): but I’ll take care of that for you. Even though you kind f had it coming…]

[And as for why I’m early. A wise Russian once said, “that’s none of your business”.]

She finishes up her messages with the same worlds Nic constantly uses on her and is just about to put her phone away when she's stopped yet again by another whistle. She quickly checks it, half expecting it to be Nic but sighs in relief when she sees 'Lulu' on the screen.

[To Lulu]
[From Rose]
[Sounds like a plan kiddo! Have anything in mind?]

Then quickly puts her phone away before she is interrupted yet again and tries to focus on her best friends' conversation.

Claire couldn't help but laugh a little as Rosalli struggled to find words. Claire had to admit, she was a little relieved that Rose didn't have the hots for Nicholai. She didn't want to see her best friend getting hurt, and Claire wasn't sure if she could trust Nicholai with something like that. But even if Rose had said that she liked the male, Claire would have supported her, and been there for her if he ever hurt her. But when Rose told her that she couldn't like anybody like that for awhile, she just nodded. She knew that there was a reason that Rose tried to keep walls up around herself, and she knew not to push. It would hopefully come out when she was ready.

Claire just shrugged when Rose asked if she had read her text over her shoulder. Truth be told, Claire may have peeked a little bit to see the name, but the text itself was easy enough to figure out. Rose really was to nice for her own good.

Smiling at Delaney, Claire watched as she came over to join their group. Grunting as Rosalli put the story telling up to her, Claire turned more towards Delaney and smiled warily. "Well, I can't exactly say what happened before I got here. But from what I saw, Mr. Tough Guy had Rose pinned against her locker. And lets just say that I wasn't exactly in the best moods when I got here this morning... So the coffee that I'd been drinking sort of ended up getting poured over his head." Sighing as she took a sip of the coffee that Rose had given her, Claire mumbled, "Such a waste of coffee, thank god I have friends..."

Hearing her phone chime for the second third time this morning, Claire opened her phone and read the text from Lucy. She was about to reply when she got another text from the younger girl. Reading it, Claire wondered if she should say yes. She wasn't exactly the type to go out and socialize, but then again, she didn't feel quite like going home straight after school ether. Claire didn't know if her mother would even be their when she got home, but she didn't want to take any chances, plus, Lucy was a good kid.

[To: Lucy]
[From: Claire]
[msg: Sure, why not? It's not like I had any plans... What did you have in mind?]
[msg: Oh, and good morning.]

Sending the reply, Claire directed her attention back on the two girls standing next to her.

The teacher walked in, it was a substitute, their regular teacher was on vacation for a month or two, she needed a break from the trouble-making children, Lucy thought. She got two more text messages, she assumed they were from Rose and Claire, she was indeed right.

[To: Claire-Bear, Rosey]
[From: Lucy]
[msg: I don't know, my mom is doing the night shift, 2pm-11pm, wanna come to my place? I will make sure my brother doesn't bother us xP Anywho, he's probably going to Victor's anyway, so he won't be a big problem, Laney can come too If she wants :D]

The last few students started coming in, class was about to begin, she put her phone in her pocket, she was going to turn it off, but she doesn't like to miss urgent messages and missing them.

Delaney rolled her eyes playfully when Rose nudged her, “I wouldn’t have been late if it weren’t for my ungodly cousin.” She paused, looking down briefly before muttering, almost inaudible. “Really, I don’t know why he has it out for me.. Delaney was never one to let others see her down, but there was something in her gut. Something was bothering her, but she couldn’t place her finger on it. It took a few seconds for Delaney to perk up again, pushing whatever was bothering her aside. She wasn’t about to let the unknown get to her. Rose started talking, directing the blonde’s questions about Nicholai towards Claire. “No way. What did you do?” She was beaming at this point. It was obvious Claire could fend for herself; everyone knew that. It was also obvious she was extremely protective over her friends, but to take matters to such an extreme? It left Delaney in shock, and almost in a fit of giggles. Almost.

Claire told her side of the story and Delaney almost lost it. “You did not! That’s hilarious!” She had to put her hand over her mouth to contain her laughter.
“I’m never going to look at him the same again, but we can keep that on the down low. Oh, I would have killed to see that. Not just because it’s him, but because it actually happened. Come on, how often does something like go down? I've never seen it happen.” She composed herself and shook her head slightly from side to side.

She noticed the two both going back and forth between their phones but decided to not question them on it. “Anywho, what are you guys doing later? I’m in the need for some major girl time. I can barely keep track of what day it is anymore, so I propose we do something later.”

Nathan turned his head to see who was grabbing his arm. It was none other than the one and only Ophelia. A sly smile worked its way onto his face as he joked, “So eager you had to see me to tell me instead of text me. Alright.” He listened to her as he slowed his pace down. “What do I want to do with you...Hm, well that could be a lot of things.” He winked playfully at her before continuing, “But since you have a boyfriend, I suppose we’d have to keep whatever ‘it’ is PG-13 rated. What we do tonight depends on our other friends. Have you talked to Rista lately?”

Just then, he felt his phone buzz. “Excuse me.” He smiled politely at Ophelia before taking his phone out and checking his messages. Rose flashed across his screen and he raised an eyebrow as he opened it. He read it and typed back quickly, not trying to leave the pretty redhead waiting any longer.

TO: Rose

Good or bad? Don’t worry, I can always make time for you. Catch me at lunch or right after school. I’m usually free around then. Lunch would be better but whatever works for you is fine with me.

He turned back to Ophelia. “Ah, how rude of me. I’m doing alright, and how about yourself, beautiful?”

Rosalli frowns at her friend's slight change of mood, and of course she knows the reason. That makes her want to talk to Nathan all the more, and hopefully fix this as soon as possible. There has to be a big reason for what happened, and Rose is tired of wondering and having to sit back and watch as they drift further apart. Now she's determined to fix this. Turning her attention away from that issue for the moment, she looks at Claire and giggles a little.
"I keep telling you she's vicious!" she teases as she playfully sticks her tongue out at Clare. "But extremely reliable" she continues with a sincere smile. "And if it's a girls' night you need then you're in luck my dear!" she says cheerfully as she fumbles for her phone and navigates to Lucy's last message, then turns it so Delaney can read it. "Sounds like it could be fun, and we don't get to spend time with little lulu that often so why not?.". She hopes Clare is up for it too. Rose knows they won't be able to talk about what's bothering them around Lucy, but it's a great distraction and quite possibly just what they need. She brings the phone back up to her face and quickly responds.

[To Lulu]
[From Rose]
[Sounds like a plan! I'll drag Laney along if I have to XP]

As soon as she hits send, another message chimes in. Nate... Rose feels her stomach knot slightly as she reads, but she ignores the feeling. It's too late to turn back now.

[To Nate]
[From Rose]
[Busy as always XP Lunch it is then! I promise not to keep you away from your harem for too long]

After hitting send she stuffs the phone back in her bag and turns to Delaney with a hopeful smile. "Are you up for it?"

Nicholai strode out of his class, he didn't care that it wasn't over yet. He didn't fucking care. He had an inkling that Rose, Claire and whoever else they hung out with were still in the hallway. Walking, slightly annoyed about his pink-shirt situation... He spotted them, in a threesome type huddle. They were all giggling. All of this embarrassment was because of that woman, Claire.

He walked up so that he was behind Rose, he grabbed her shoulder.

"I was sitting in the first few minutes of Poly-sci, but then I got bored. So, I came to take you up on your offer. Heal me Rosie. . ." That last part came as little more than a heated whisper just for her. Although he wasn't sure why. He had received a text from Rista, he had carelessly left his hat at her apartment. How foolish, even more foolish of her to bring it to the school.

However right now that didn't matter, he wanted to mess with Rose. He felt like they were fairly good friends. Even if he scared her a little. Sure her body pleased him, she was definitely attractive. Unfortunately he wasn't sure if he was capable of loving someone. No one had ever made him happy before like one would expect with love.

Rose, she smelled sweet. . . Nicholai shut his eyes as he stood behind her if only just for a moment. Then they opened, no one would find that odd, but to him. . . He was taking it all in.

Rosalli has always thought that maybe Nic is secretly part ninja, because she never sees or even hears him coming. For Rose to not hear someone coming is more than unusual. But somehow he always manages to surprise her.

"Heal me Rosie. . ."

For some odd and unknown reason, this last bit made Rose's skin crawl. Why? She had no idea. Nic did this sort of thing all the time. Must have been the element of surprise. She jumps slightly, accidentally bumping into him in the process, and immediately whirls around to face him. "Nic? What-? I thought you weren't going to skip class anymore?" she said as she folded her arms across her chest. Of course she should have guessed he didn't really mean hat. Maybe the burns really did hurt him. She scanned her eyes over them and almost winced. They did look pretty bad, and the fact that he accepted her help had to mean something. Regardless of what happened, she felt somewhat responsible.

She sighs in defeat and lowers her hands to her sides. "Well I do have a free period right now..." she admits, trying to think of a place where they could go, because doing it out in the open would most likely bring unwanted attention. She also pondered the idea of taking one of the girls with her, but maybe that would just cause more trouble. "Wait, no. Go to class." she says giving it a second thought. She can't just encourage his bad study habits. "find me at lunch. I promise I'll do it then". As she spoke, she gave the burns another look over and almost immediately noticed something she hadn't noticed before. A giggle accidentally escaped her and she quickly covered her mouth. "pink?" she giggled quietly. Now there's a sight she never even imagined she'd see in her lifetime. Somehow it made him seem almost... harmless.

“Am I up for it?” She mimicked her best friend, putting her free hand on her hip and cocking her head to the side dramatically as she repeated herself. “Am I up for it? Come on, I was born ready!” She grinned and dropped her hand to her side. “But seriously, it sounds like fun. Are we going over her house or something? I haven’t really hung out with Lucy, so this should be fun.” Delaney liked Lucy. She had never hung out with her one on one before, but they had talked in the past. Maybe she and Lucy could get close. Delaney loved making friends. The more, the merrier.

Just then, Nicholai came over and Delaney raised an eyebrow. He wanted Rose to heal him? Odd, she thought. Of all people Delaney would have never thought Nic was one to ask for help. Especially from Rose. Rose was liked by mostly everybody, so that was understood. But today seemed to be full of surprised.

“Heal me Rosie..” The statement from the male made Delaney cringe slightly. Something about it didn’t settle right with her. The scariest guy in school was asking for help and calling her friend ‘Rosie’. She was aware Nic would mess with her best friend sometimes, but she’d never seen anything like this before. It struck Delaney as odd, but she smirked when she noticed his shirt. How suiting. She decided on asking her friend about Nic later on. Claire may have done it earlier today when she saw the two earlier, but she also may not have. Whatever it may be, it never hurt to ask again.

Nathan smiled, clearly amused at Ophelia. Malcolm missing in action as always. It didn’t surprised the male. The couple was off and on as much as Ronnie and Sam from Jersey Shore. Maybe even more, but that might be pushing it. “Lonely, huh? Well maybe your boyfriend should be here to watch over you so some others guys don’t try and steal you.” As he finished his sentence, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her softly closer to him. “I don’t blame Rista. It is a pretty lame place. After all, what school isn’t?

When she mentioned the PG-13 rule, Nathan smirked. Just then the bell rang. “I’m glad you’re enjoying my company, but it looks as if I have to get to class. I’d love to stay and hang around, but I actually have to do this thing called learn. it’s pretty boring, but I’ll text you during it so it won’t be too bad. Maybe we can test out that PG-13 rule later tonight.” The last part of his response was half hearted. Yes, he would like to get with Ophelia, but he would never if she was still in a relationship with Malcolm. By tonight, the relationship status of the two may be different. He slowly slid his hand across her back as he released himself from her. He didn’t want to go, but he would see her later. Plus, playing hard to get was something Nathan loved, but sometimes had to work harder at. He walked down the hallway away from her and disappeared in the maze of hallways.

Nathan’s phone buzzed and he knew it was Rose. He wasn’t talking to anyone else after all.

TO: Rose

Harem? That makes me sound like a whore. I’m offended. You should know you come first.

He paused before sending a second message, grinning as he did so.

TO: Rose

If you want me to flirt with you too, just say so.(-;

Nathan had always appreciated Rose’s sense of humor and capability to joke around with him. Half the time it was almost impossible to tell his joking apart from his flirting. He wondered how Rose did it. They weren’t as close as they used to be, but they were still close.

His mind kept wandering back to what Rose had to talk to him about. Usually, she would just come right out and ask or say it. It wasn’t like her to tell him before hand that she had to ask him a question. It had to be important. Lunch was close by so he would be seeing her in no time. He couldn’t wait.

Rosalli halfway jogged into the cafeteria. If she was going to do it, she had to do it now. No room to be a coward. She glanced around, scanning every face until she found the one she was looking for, smiling flirtatiously at some girl of course. She half rolled her eyes and quickly headed to where he was. On the way she pulled out her phone and quickly typed out a text for Claire.

[To Claire-bear]
[From Rose]
[I need a huge favor! Keep Laney away from the cafeteria for five minutes or so? Pretty please with an extra espresso shit?? Promise i'll explain later]

As she hit sent, she realized she was getting closer to him. She unintentionally slowed her pace, until she came to a stop. Could she really do this? No, the real question was HOW would she do this? How could she even ask him without being pushed away? That's something she couldn't afford. Maybe she should have waited until after school after all...She inhaled deeply and patted her face a few times. No turning back now. After recollecting her courage, she picked up the pace again and walked up behind the girl. How do you do the being assertive thing again? She quietly cleared her throat and looked up at him.

"Nathan" she attempted to say as serious as she could manage. "I need to talk to you, now." she immediately cringed at how bossy she sounded, and even though she tried to resist with all her might, she couldn't help but to throw a quiet "please" in there. So much for being assertive. She had a feeling Nate would make fun of her for that, but she needed to get this over with as quickly as possible. Not only was Delaney probably headed towards the cafeteria now, but Nic would most likely come looking for her any moment now. She has to get it over with. She almost felt bad for interrupting his flirting...
