0 · 504 views · located in Ashton

a character in “The Everheart Manor”, as played by RacoonMoon()

Description

Amadier Pilotzin
Age: 25
Gender: [color=#8000BF]Male
Race: feathered serpent shapeshifter
Occupation: Head Cook. While he is technically no higher than any other cook, they can try and challenge the standard he holds over the kitchen.
Personality: Amadier's personality is best described as intense and blunt. While a frequent user of flowery language, when he wants something he is very clear about. Harboring an elitist attitude, Amadier always walks with pride and will never admit his own mistakes. Although, he can always be trusted to point out the mistakes in others.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
explosive temper: Not stused to being questioned, he will start out cordial but usually doesn't end this way. The angrier he gets the harder it is for him to appear human.
strong sense of taste and smell: enough said.
Agile: he is used to walking on the balls of his feet.
Hunter: As a feathered serpent, Amadier combines the best of hawk and snake hunting styles. He provides a lot of meat for the kitchens.
Shapeshifting: (duh). Amadier can shapeshift into a 10 ft long snake with white and purple scales and large hand-like wings.
chicken-phobia: For whatever reason, Amadier refuses to work with chicken.
taste connoisseur: Amadier likes to acquire as many different tastes and flavors as possible. When seeing something that he's yet to taste, He becomes obsessed with tasting it. He's yet to eat human.
exceptions: Amadier cannot appear human in the presence of silver, garlic, and intense fires.

Unique Fact:Due to his elitism and overall demeanor, there is some speculation among the staff to whether Amadier was once a lord himself.

venom may or may not be a secret ingredient in meals he's served. Its a great flavor if it doesn't kill you first.

FYI: Amadier is a serpent first, human second.

Amadier Pilotzin
If anything, Amadier had expected more.
Amadier observed the other new employees from the back of the crowd with an disinterested expression. Honestly with how open this job application was he expected there to be many more new creatures for him to taste meet. The slip of his tongue produced a small smile that gradually faded. The pickings did seem slim however. One couldn't bite a ghost, and Amadier would certainly have to struggle to find an orc beneath all that armor. Amadier squinted as he looked toward the two girls. Look as they might he doubted they were actually human. After all he was a living example that things weren't always what they seemed. Still they could just be brave humans who didn't quite know what they were getting into. His forked tongue passed over his fangs in anticipation. He'd be eager to work with them.

Amadier's eyes snapped toward Patch as he began speaking. All of this and a doll. He'd be surprised if he tasted of anything more than fabric and wool. Still Amadier listened as Patch and then Naffteef introduced themselves and told that the master wished to meet them.
"Well if the master wants us what are we waiting for?" Amadier asked with a raised eyebrow. The comment had come across with a hint more snark than he intentioned. He still was unsure how he felt about working under a master. Folding his arms behind his back he walked through the crowd and tried to beckon the others to move. He raised an eyebrow as he stopped beside Patch.

"After you." He said with a sidelong glance at patch.

"W-well a-about that....." Patch dropped off for a bit, trying to find the right words to use, "T-the m-master is, a b-bit....odd." he said before fidgeting under his new co-workers gazes, "H-his p-policies change r-randomly. H-he m-might not want company r-right n-now." Patch internally preyed that Lord Everheart wanted to me the new staff, "I w-will ch-check his mood. P-please w-wait a m-moment" with that Patch left them in the room to their own devices. after a few moments he reached Lord Everheart's office, "E-excuse me? Master? T-the new s-staff h-has arrived." he knocked before entering....only to have his right arm cut off by a flying ax, showing the false muscle that allows him to move about without the need for supports. "Patch my boy! I was just about to call for you! Is the new staff here yet?" asked the ever energetic, and crazy, Lord Everheart, "Y-yes s-sir." Patch internally groaned, it was going to take him a good part of the day to stitch his arm back on, "Good, good please by all means fetch them for me!" the doll butler nodded before picking up his severed arm asking one last question, "I th-thought y-you where g-going t-to do the tropical t-theme, n-not viking." the master of the house looked around his office, which looked like a viking mead hall, before answering, "Didn't feel like it." Patch just nodded before he left the office to go back to the staff.

"What an odd place..." Maude commented as she glanced around. Maude and Blythe weren't really paying attention to the speech so much as looking around.

Human in appearance with the physical prowess of a celestial warrior, the two girl were scouting. Possible exits. Hiding spots. Anything in particular that could be of use in the future. When the boy-Patch?- walked away, they straightened up. Time to act normal. Just normal human maids. If only that were true.

Maude scratched the inside of her wrist, but Blythe reached out and grabbed her hand. She shook her head once. If Maude kept scratching, she would break her skin. Where would they be then? She glanced at the three strange creatures out of the corner of her eye.

It had always been a speculation that her and Blythe weren't the only odd ones out, but she never imagined they could be so... strange... At least the sisters looked human enough. You know, without their wings and stuff. They only used that to intimidate people though.

She perked up when the boy returned. He was mysterious. Adorable, really. His stutter seemed to emphasize that point. She hoped they could be friends. She and Blythe had never had friends before.

Patch returned to where his new co-workers where waiting, still holding his severed arm, "T-the master w-will s-see y-you now. P-please f-follow me." he said before turning around and going back to the lord's office. He decided to pass the time by telling them what to expect from their new employer, "N-now t-the m-master can be a b-bit odd." he started before holding up his severed arm, "I-it would b-be b-best if I e-entered first. T-the m-master has a t-tendency t-to throw o-objects a-at p-people, e-even i-if th-they are sh-sharp." he finished as they reached the office door, "M-master, I-I've br-brought them." he knocked before opening the door, although this time Lord Everheart had swung the ax horizontally, taking off Patch's head, "MASTER!!!!" the now severed head shouted in surprise as his body collapsed on the floor, "Ah! Patch, how are you this fine day?" the eccentric lord asked, before noticing that he cut the doll's head off, "Oh my. It seems you've lost your head." he picked up the head before holding it up high and putting the back of his hand on his head, "Alas, poor Patch, I knew him well." he falsely cried before Patch spoke up, "S-sir t-the n-new staff i-is here." the decapitated doll stuttered, his embarrassment was reaching an all time high, "Oh so they are. Well It's a pleasure to meet you all. Now please take poor Patch here and get out of my office." he said with a straight face casually tossed Patch's head like it was a ball, "Oh and Patch? Please show them to the servant's quarters." the doll head only muttered a small 'yes master.' as he was caught by one of the new maids.

As Naffteef stood around waiting for Patch to return, eventually the small floating thing floating next to him began to float near his head before clearing its throat. It introduced himself as Dim Etree in a dry and quiet tone which seemed to get the ork slightly depressed just hearing him. "Nice 'Ta meet ya Dim. Names Naffteef Dakarot, pleasured 'Ta meet ya." He replied in a louder tone but clearly he looked a bit down just being next to him before their conversation was interrupted by Patch who returned and told them that the master wanted to see them.

As they prepared to leave Dim told him he was glad to have this talk before he floated back to the group. As he followed Patch to the masters room, he watched as Patch called out to the master before knocking on the door and opening it only for his head to be separated from his body. He could only watch in slight horror as the poor lad in front of him had been decapitated and was prepared to strike down the master for killing a innocent person, but he noticed something was off and that something was that there was no blood and then he saw something that surprised him. The decapitated head began to talk again like nothing has happened and with that he no longer had the urge to go beat up the master.

Maude raised an eyebrow at her new "master's" actions. Perhaps it was a normal occurrence. Even so, a small giggle escaped her when his head landed in her arms. Blythe quietly scrambled to grab his body and they left the room. "I see what you meant about Lord Everheart," she said to the decapitated head, a small smile dancing on her face. "Might I ask? Are you a doll of some sorts? The mechanics of how your body works is phenomenal."

"Sister..." Blythe said quietly, her tone a bit overprotective.

"Alas," Maude shook her head. "I fear I'll have to return you to your body. Do you need any help with the sewing? I'm a bit rusty, but I feel as though I could manage that much."

She knew she was talking too much, but she rarely cared about that. She had to do enough talking for both Blythe and herself, after all. It was how the two of the worked. It was how they would always work. "Where are the servant's quarters, anyways?"

"O-oh, um. t-t-take a l-l-left u-u-up here." he started to give directions. His stuttering was more prominent as he was being held, and the fact that he had to stay in this close vicinity until his head is put back on, "I-i-it's a r-r-right up h-h-here." Patch started to think about the new maid's previous question, and to be honest, he was still trying to find a good way describe it. False muscle is more complex than what you would find in a normal body, it's more....malleable you could say. It has something in it that allows for that extra defense, that extra bend, it softens the blow if you will, "I-i-it's a-a-at t-the e-end o-o-of th-th-this h-h-hall, on y-y-your l-l-left." Patch said when they got further down the hall, "Sorry you had to carry me." he muttered quietly, his face, if he had blood, would've been red as a tomato. He really wished the master missed right about now.

Amadier Pilotzin

Amadier looked up from his nails as Patch reentered the room clutching...his own severed arm. Amadier continued to stare at this until the group started to leave the room. With his arms folded neatly behind his back he admired the various halls and art they passed. It certainly qualified as a manor but once again Amadier found his expectations lacking. Where was the grand filigree and elegant atmosphere he had seen in images of other mansions. With a silent sigh Amadier returned his attention to Patch and the motions of the group. He supposed the dark wood and long red carpets had their own charm to them.

Amadier watched critically as Patch stuttered an explanation as he prepared to open the door. Why this boy seemed to be in a constant state of nervousness confused. Sure he was in the company of total strangers, but none of us would be daft enough to attack with the master on the other side of the door.
Amadier noticeably tightened as he watched patch's severed head fall onto the floor. Patch had described the master as odd. Odd didn't begin to cover it. A knife in a gun fight could be odd. Decapitation as a form of greeting was preposterous, deranged, insane!?

"I've been employed by a psychopath." He muttered under his breath before noticing that patch's decapitated head still move and spoke. That was odd.

After the master's brief welcome, the group prepared to leave down another hall. Amadier quick-stepped forward to ensure he wasn't in the back. Patch may survive a flying axe in the back, but he certainly wouldn't. He walked next to Naffteef as he began to collect himself. The master certainly wasn't one he looked forward to spending time with.

He listened to the groups prattle while casting sidelong glances behind himself. Only the ghost floated behind him. Amadier offered a smile that was unperceived by the ghost. Amadier turned back to the others with a nod.
"Sorry you had to carry me." said patch from one of the girl's arm.
"Were we meant to roll your head here instead? Don't mention it. You were quite beside yourself." He smiled inwardly at the half joke.
"Is this a normal occurrence in the manor?" Asked Amadier as he gestured between Patch's head and body.

Patch thought about the frequency of his master's greetings, "N-n-not r-r-really." he started before gaining a small frown, "O-only o-on Mondays, o-or if th-there a-are g-guests." he sighed as he remembered all the times this has happened. He had to wait for the master to stitch him back together, or to cut his head off again if he put Patch's head on backwards. Those days it took hours, if not the whole day to get his head back on, "H-h-he m-mostly a-aims f-f-for my a-arm o-or l-l-leg."

Blythe watched the butler interact with her sister and the... Thing... She wasn't sure what to call it. Maude followed the boy's directions as the purple man started up a discussion with him. Maude giggled, "Sorry, I just find it interesting that he missed this time."

Blythe shot her sister a scolding look. Why were they here again? She'd much rather be out and about doing what they used to do and she could hardly understand why Maude had chosen maids of all things. Maybe because they cleaned up their own messes? Perhaps it wouldn't be so hard, but they had so much money in reserve. Illegal money, she reminded herself. They could use it in the black market, but it didn't go much further than that.

"I imagine you have gone through quite a lot of staff," Maude commented absently and Blythe shook her head. She rolled her arms; the boy's body was heavier than it looked. Maybe she was tired from the long journey. This would usually be nothing for her.

Patch decided to remain silent, he didn't like to remember the poor staff that where to slow to dodge the master's more, 'creative' greetings on days like this. If he wasn't a doll, than Patch would have been dead fifty times over, even then it was still annoying having to stop anything that he had planed in order to put himself together. After they reached the servant's quarters, Patch decided to speak again, "Th-this i-i-is t-the r-r-room th-that we w-w-will b-b-be sh-sh-sharing." he said, before looking to his bed, "Th-that b-b-bed o-over th-there is m-m-m-mine. Y-y-you c-c-can p-pick a-a-any o-other b-b-bed y-y-you s-s-see." his bed was of average means, the sheets on the other hand where a mix of light purple and a dark-ish pink cloths that where sewn together, and each stitch was of different length the the one after it, "I-i-in t-the d-d-drawer t-t-to t-the left i-is wh-where m-m-my s-s-sewing s-s-supplies a-a-are."

As they arrived at the servants quarters, Naffteef looked at the beds they would be sleeping wrong and even with his very meager intelligence he could already see one problem and that one problem is he was too big for the beds. He just concluded that he should just sleep on the floor since he knew no other way to fit on one of the beds. He grabbed a white sheet off of one of the beds before finding an empty location in the room which was the corner farthest away from the beds, and then he proceeded to sit down in said corner and claimed that spot as his own. He had slept in worse conditions during his time outside and this certainly was better than all of them by a long shot.

"I imagine you have gone through quite a lot of staff." said the girl holding the body.
"Truly a comforting interjection." Amadier flashed her a forced smile. He resisted the urge to turn around and check the hall for the master. He refused to accept the idea that he was afraid of his employer despite the trembling of his wrist. Noting patch's silence, Amadier decided to drop the subject. He entertained himself by finding synonyms for the word courage.

As they reached the room, the others seemed to immediately occupy themselves with finding a bed. He might have been disturbed at the lack of privacy, but the proximity to the things he wanted to taste compensated for that. He watched as Naffteef spread a blanket in the corner of small room. Another thing Amadier noticed is that there were certainly more beds than people. traces of a better time perhaps. Still standing in the doorway he looked around at the different beds until he found the one that seemed lowest to the ground. Whoever had this bed last must have weighed it down considerably. Kneeling down he looked under the bed at the deep shadows before popping up and nodding. Taking the blanket from on the bed he followed Naffteef's lead and spread it at the foot of his bed. He kicked as much of the blanket under it as possible before turning on his heel. Onto other matters.

"Well now that most of us are situated, perhaps we should get to know each a bit more?" Amadier addressed the room.
"Patch, Naffteef," he gestured to each of them respectively before casting a sweeping gesture over himself. "Amadier Pilotzin."
He turned to the two girls and addressed them in his most cordial greeting. He extended a hand as if to receive theirs with a kiss.
"And who might you two fine ladies be?"
