"its that guy"

0 · 277 views · located in Eden

a character in “The Facade of Eden”, as played by girlwt

Description

Name:Stefan Lee

Age: 16

Personality: Stefan is the type that you hardly ever notice, a quiet introvert with a shy smile and patient eyes. He is often overlooked as being that 'guy' or 'the one with the weird hair'. However underneath Stefan is actually quite intelligent, a good listener and has a calm demeanor in most situations.

History: Stefan is the son of an American artist and Japanese guy she meet while she was overseas, however he never really knew his father, being as his mother left Japan when after Stefan's sister was born. They moved in with his aunt in house that looked like it needed to be condemned. However they live a good life, getting by by some miracle. Stefan was forced to grow up sort of fast though in this environment, so he and his sister didn't go hungry. He became a protector but only shows it when needed. He considers himself the normal one, being as his aunt is almost as eccentric as his mother, who loves nothing but to paint all day. Stefan had a hard time when he first came to the school, being as people saw his shyness as him thinking he was better then everyone. He has a hard time connecting to people, but tries his hardest after getting to know them after awhile. Girls like to hang around him because he is a good listener, and he is honest, however he tends to shy away from them when they start wanting a relationship. Its not that he isn't interested, but he is scared that they won't get his families way of life.

Appearance:Image
His hair color changes quiet often, one day it may be dark and the next bright pink, depending on his mood.

Fears: Spiders, Crowds, Of not being able to help in some way, cats and drowning.

So begins...

Day 1 - 08:10 - Pool

Gabriel took her hand and lead her through the house, coming to a stop at the pool. He peered down at her, looking into her soft eyes. He opened his mouth, about to release the words that were burning painful streaks against his lips, but he caught them. He stayed silent.

He didnt want to ruin this trip for Andy, he decided that it wold be better to confront her about it at the end of the trip. He couldn't stand to see her hurt, it pained him more than anything. "This is going to be a good week" He smiled, brushing the bottom of her cheek with his finger playfully. He paused for just a moment, pondering the conditions that dictated their friendship. Was she even interested in more than friendship? Was trying for something more worth losing what they had?

He looked away towards the pool, his eyes glistening lightly. "Time for a swim?" He laughed, pulling off his shirt and dropping it by their feet. He smirked as he slowly stepped behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Ready?"

In a moments time, he cast both of them into the water.

She screeched, clinging to him tightly as the pair of them fell into the water together.

"You slimy...ACK!" Andy spluttered as she pushed herself to the shallow end. "Away with you, you creep! I would have changed into my swimsuit if you'd ASKED me nicely!"

He slowly pushed her against the edge of the pool, holding onto the edge with Andy in between his arms. He laughed slightly under his breath at her quips, bringing his lips up to her ear, speaking in soft whispers. "Where would the fun in that be?" His breath blew lightly against her neck.

He looked down at the water as he pushed away from her, repositioning himself next to Andy and leaning against the edge of the pool.

"Plus...your face was priceless" He couldnt help but laugh.

"That's what your mom said," Andy replied, pouting at him as he nudged her against the edge of the pool. Water now soaked her black blouse, her jean shorts floating awkwardly around her thighs. Somewhere on the other side of the pool, her sandals floated idly, too buoyant to sink to the bottom. When he drew close, she relaxed her head back against the edge of the pool, keeping her hands to herself as she rolled her jaw and turned her face to the side.

Nope. She wasn't going to touch his abdomen. Not at all.

She felt like she could breath when he finally moved away, settling next to her instead. That was good. Much safer.

"The place is nice though. I think we'll have a good time here." She looked up at the sky, squinting past the clouds as she lifted her hands and pushed her hair away from her face. "I hope Patrick behaves."

He seemed distracted, almost ignoring Andy's comment about Patrick. "Uh, sure" He didnt face her when he spoke, keeping his focus on the water below. The water had grown dark, impossibly so. Gabriel could swear he saw something... felt something in the water. He kept his fears to himself, not wishing to scare Andy. He looked back up at her with a smile "We should probably get back to the rest of the group" He comment was painfully shallow, he really had no interest in joining them, but he did not want to stay here.

He put his hands on the edge of the pull, pushing himself up and out of the water. He stood, small puddles forming by his feet, water trickling smoothly down his skin, his jeans soaked. He ran a hand trough his hair, then a thumb across his cheek in a vain attempt to gather the water clinging to him.

He bent down slightly, reaching a hand out to Andy.

Andy watched him, her brow furrowing as he started to behave a little, well, oddly...Funny, he'd seemed pretty interested in seeing her before. What was this all of a sudden?

"I, sure.." she told him, trying hard not to appear too disappointed when he suggested that they return to the rest of the group. She didn't mind of course, Gabe could do what he wanted.

When he got up out of the water, she reached a hand up for him, grasping his wrist, completely oblivious to the changes in the pool behind her as she started to climb out of the water.

Day 1 - 08:30 - Pool

Devin and Calleigh entered first, followed by Stefan and Patrick. "Let's get this shit started!" Patrick flicked the cap off his beer, allowing it to skid across the concrete surrounding the pool.

Gabriel seemed uneasy, instinctively stepping in front of Patrick. "Guys, i dont think right now's the best time for swimming" He faltered slightly as the other members of the group met him with confusion.

"Fuck this man" Patrick tried to step forward as Gabriel caught him by his wrist. "I told you no!" He barked, catching himself as he quieted his tone. He whispered to him warningly "There's something in the water" Patrick rolled his eyes "Stop trying to fuck with me, i paid for the cabin and ill do what i want" Shoving Gabriel aside, he slipped out of his grasp and dove into the water before Gabriel could stop him. "Pa-" He instinctively stepped towards the pool as Patrick's head bobbed out idly.

"I told you man, it's fine, stop being such a prick" Patrick taunted. As a shadow gingerly gathered behind Patrick, panic took to Gabriel's face. "Patrick!" Before he could turn to face the beast, Patrick was dragged deep under the water.

At that moment, the lights illuminating the indoor pool flicked violently, burning out in a seconds time. The group was cast into complete and utter-darkness. After a odd silence, Patrick screamed "Help! Char-" He trashed violently, a single light flickering on and illuminating Patrick as he was dragged trough the pool. His voice disturbing the ominous quiet.

Gabriel didn't stop for a moment, entering the pool as the last light died off again. It began as violent screams and splashes, but turned to a quiet calm. After what seemed like an eternity, the monotone drone of the lights pierced the silence. The pool filled with light, Patrick was gone.

A single hand reached out, grasping at the wall of the Pool. Gabriel pulled himself from the water, blood cascading from his side as he dropped to his knees. "It-it took him-" He coughed violently, tiredly, using his hand to support himself as he peered down at the concrete beneath him. "I tried...i tried" His voice quivering painfully. He stayed there, on all fours, a trail of blood leading to the pool.

No one spoke, no one moved, not for a while. The calm was disturbing....horrifying.

Devin had watched in fear as something unspeakable happened. At that one moment, when Patrick jumped into the pool... "What the actual, flying fuck!" The tech boy yelled out after minutes of idle glaring. Shocked, scared, confused.

He just... What the hell happened? He wondered in a panic. His breath became more heavy with each passing second, unable to speak another word.

They needed to get away, quickly. Whatever killed those people, it was bad news, very bad. Devin pressed with both hands on either side of his head. He needed to calm... Clear his mind, if only it was that easy. Odds were he wasn't the only one who was in shock...

The moment Andy was out of the pool, it seemed that Patrick was diving back in. She turned to watch, eyes wide as the enveloping darkness swallowed him up, dragging him down. The atmosphere became thick with tension and fear, choking off her throat with her own anxiety as she whipped her head around, trying to comprehend what was going on. Suddenly, a Patrick was in the pool, thrashing and screaming for help.

What in God's name...

"Callie!" the girl shouted, running for her friend as the air began to finally clear. When Gabe poked his head back up out of the water...

Well, Andy wasn't sure of what to think or say. So, she said nothing, and held to Callie as her eyes began to burn, her stomach rolling with nausea.

"Oh god.." she murmured tearfully

The color seemed to drain from Stefan's face as he watched in complete horror. He tried to get out of his chair, falling on his backside and scrabbled backwards away from death. His ankle twisted in the wrong direction as he did, but he didn't feel the pain at first He watched Gabe jump in, but he couldn't force anything out of his mouth as he looked in abject fear.

"What the fuck." Who was still standing, who was...his mind looked at the others, and all he was seeing was blurriness to their faces, as if he didn't recognize any of them. He tried to stand, wincing slightly at a pain in his ankle. When did he do that, the pain made it real again, the whole fucking thing real again. The cabin, the pool, the screams...and the death.

"Gabe," it came out in a whisper because truthfully he really didn't want Gabe to repeat those words he just said.

He stood this time, and the pain went up his leg, "Fuck."

Gabriel still couldn't speak, the panic of his friend enveloping him. He coughed, water forming puddles as it seeped out of his mouth. He wanted to collapse right there, just give up and die. He had saw it, he had saw that thing that killed his friends. "Fuck....fuck fuck fuck" His voice trembled, tears streaming down his face. The reality of the night finally sank in.

He left his trance as he looked up at the remaining members of the dwindling group. He remembered his responsibilities to his friends. He grasped his side, attempting to stand. He was unable to get up from his knees, remaining on all fours.

The pool let out a low roar, the water trembling behind him. It was back-

He waved his hand out in front of him, motioning his friends inside. "Go! Get inside and lock the door!" His own well being was the last thing on his mind. "Devin! Help Stefan in!" He growled as he tried to crawl forward, his would on his side holding him back. He let out muffled screams of pain. "I said go!"

Devin snapped out of his panic-pondering, hesitating not a second to run over to Stefan, and help the poor guy on his feet. "Let's go. This shit ain't safe." He just glared with a shocked expression at Gabe. "Just make sure you get inside as well! I won't close the door otherwise!" Even if his friend meant well, nothing, and he meant nothing would make him close that door until everyone was safe and sound inbetween these four walls.

The tech boy made a run for it, carrying Stefan as he slung the guy's arm over his own shoulder. Once inside, Devin gently dropped Stefan on the couch, immediately making his way towards the entrance of the pool. "Gabe, I am going to-" Did the pool just roar? What the shit was going on...? "Gabe! Get the hell inside, now!"

As the crowd began to force themselves violently back towards the safety of the cabin (safety being extremely objective here, of course), Andy kept a tight hold on Callie, clinging to the girl's wrist as she stared with wide, panicked eyes towards Gabe. The blood that soaked him, the frothing and groaning of the pool behind him...all of it was too surreal to be true. It just...couldn't be happening.
But..it was.

"Devin keep an eye on Callie!" she shouted, turning to her friend. "Go inside. I'm helping Gabe."

The tech boy nodded in response, motioning for Callie to follow him inside. "Hurry!" He shouted.

She let go of Callie's hand, then made a sprint for Gabe's side. She skidded hard on her knees against the pool deck, taking him under her arm and unceremoniously hoisting him to his feet.

"No time to be the tragic hero, Gabe. I'm not letting you go so easily," she gasped. "Stand up. You're heavy!"

He looked up at her weakly, keeping his hand firmly at his side. "I told you to go, Andy" His face was clearly stuck with tears, but for both of their benefits he tried to hide it best he could. As the water trashed behind them, he kept his eyes on Andy's. "Thank you~"

"Thank me later," she replied, her face pale, eyes wide with her own desperation. "Come on.." she gave his arm another tug.

Gabriel grunted softly, moving to his feet. He try to walk but could only managed to lean on her.

Upon witnessing the horrifying occurrence, Devin spotted something trying to reach out for either victim near the pool. "Watch out! Behind you!" The boy shouted, pointing at their feet.

At Devin's words, Gabriel turned and spotted the hand swiping for Andy's foot. Gabriel didn't give it an inch, bringing his foot down on the creature's hand. He coughed, attempting to push Andy and him forward. "Let's go, it's coming"

She didn't notice the arm until Gabriel stomped on it, but when she did, she tugged him forward as he pushed her, one hand coming around to secure at his side, covering the wound, applying pressure to stop the bleeding.

The tides grew, the water trashing about wildly. A screech coming from the pool caught his attention, forcing him to look back for just a moment. Fear struck across his face as the thing reared its head.

Turning back to Andy, he wrapped his arm around her, forcing her hand off his wound. "Faster!" He grunted, gritting his teeth and bearing the pain as he shoved her inside. As he took a step forward to enter himself, something wrapped around his legs, threating to pull him back into the water. He reached his hand out for the doorway, his fingers just grazing it as the thing tugged at his leg-

She caught herself, managing to turn in time to see Gabriel's feet get ripped out from under him. Wasting no time, she dove for him, grasping his wrist and grabbing the in the door with her opposite hand.

Something ripped painfully, and an agonizing pain shot through her left shoulder.
"Shit," she gasped, giving Gabe a mighty tug closer to herself. "Kick. Your feet. Gabe." she grunted.

He looked down at his leg, digging the toe of his shoe into the concret. "Let me go!" He grunted as he tried to push against the tentacle.

Devin hesitated a bit, trying to locate something to fend off Gabe's attacker. Of course! The hearth! The tech boy rushed and panickly reached out for the nearest firepoker he could spot, and ran outside to save his friend from the creature. He forcefully pricked the poker into the tentacle, injuring it just a tad, but enough to make it release grip on Gabe.

Gabriel fell into the room, his hand still clasped tighly in hers.

He settled ontop of her, his face a few inches away from hers. His breaths were labored, , rolling off of her and onto his back.

When he fell into her, she couldn't do much more than fall back against the floor, her breath leaving her in a rush.

Then his weight was on top of her, guarded (thankfully) by the strength of his arms as he stared down at her. She panted, staring into his eyes, then closing them as he rolled away from her, curling in on herself and gripping her arm.

"You okay?" she asked him. "No more cuts?"

He didn't speak for a moment, his eyes idly staring up at the ceiling. "I saw it.... i saw it bi-" He caught himself, choking on his words intertwined with a cough.
He took to his feet, lifting up Andy gently by her waist and standing her upright. "I-im fine" He dragged the words out of him.

Looking her over, he let his hands linger on her waist for a moment before pulling away. "Are you ok?"

"Been better." Andy replied quietly, looking away from him and turning to slam the door shut. Her right arm was limp and loose at her side, her left doing all the work as she threw the locks and turned back to Gabriel. "Excuse me just a second..."

With that, she stormed past him, and straight to the bathroom.

She felt like she was going to be sick.

Day 1 - 09:10 - Living Room

Gabriel sighed as she brushed past him. His eyes lingered on the door to the bathroom for a moment, before turning back towards Devin "Cut the sarcasm when you answer, but-

"What the fuck just happened?" Devin responded before Gabe could finish his sentence. "Really- just, what the hell?!" Really, it isn't an everyday thing you saw your freakin' friend get murdered by something. In an indoor pool no less!

"There's more than one thing in that pool" Gabriel gazed out at the water.

"I'd rather have, no things in the pool. I'm more confused about what the fuck it was." Devin seated down on the couch, glaring at Gabe as he tried to figure things out.

"The thing that killed Patrick-"
Gabriel shuttered for a moment, gathering himself before continuing.
"It was some fucked up version of a mermaid. It tore him to shit- Then the thing that tried to grab for Andy, it looked like a kelpie- And what grabbed me was neither" He ran a hand through his hair, attempting to calm himself.

"A what?! You a-" Actually, no. He wouldn't be kidding him. Because then Patrick would still be here, pestering the living shit out of Devin. "Monsters? Seriously? Fairy tale creatures... You sure it wasn't a- a shark 'r something?" Techy made sure to give the pool another look. Really? He couldn't believe Gabe's words, yet he would not outrule it.

Gabriel seemed to accept it all too easily "Im sure- But if that was in the pool- Andy!" He shouted, a sense of urgency taking him over.
"What? What?" Devin rose up from the couch, glaring at his friend who suddenly shouted so urgently. "Something the matter?" He asked, confused about why
Gabe sounded so concerned.

He darted for the ktichen, searching through the silverware. "Dammit where is it!' He turned to Devin "Come here, help me look for silver....silver or iron" He turned back to another cabinet, throwing plates to the floor as he searched "There's more monsters in this house,"

Devin followed his friend into the kitchen, hastily searching for that silver, or iron he was told to look for. "What, you a supernatural detective now?" He knew it wasn't time for jokes, but still. Maybe Gabe was a bit delusional from blood loss, or he had acquired a concussion... "Are you even sure there's silverware in here?" He asked, throwing himself in front of another cabinet.

He stayed silent, searching cabinets until he found a pile of silverware. "Here! Found it!" He threw devin a handful of silver knives, stuffing the rest into his pocket. "Now- sugar? no no. It was salt" He reached into another cabinet, pulling out a few boxes of salt "Take this" He pushed them over to Devin before rushing through to the fireplace, taking a fire poker into his hand "Iron". He turned to face Dvin, realizing how crazy he sounded. "My uncle- he was kinda an expert on this stuff" He averted his eyes, suddenly filled with grief and guilt "I told him he was crazy- I-I sent him to a home" His uncle was right, and he sent him to a mental institute.

Devin just stared as confused as ever. Now, he wasn't really the one to question stuff, but this really seemed a bit. A bit too crazy, so to speak. "Gabe, chill. Nothing's gonn-"

He turned to Devin, sincerity strewn into his face "Devin! Shut the fuck up for one second!" His words were labored and desperate. "Please man...."
He gathered himself "You've known me since we were kids, Devin. I've been for you there whenever you needed it, i trust you with my life. Now trust me- There's something out there, and i need you to believe me"

"Please"

It didn't arrive to clearly for Devin. "Bu-" He just wanted Gabe to relax for a bit, they've just witnessed someone die, that's a lot to handle. "Fine. I'll listen for now. We'll do whatever you intend to do with this shit, and I'll isten to your sob story later. Deal?" He was reluctant, but they were friends. And friends need to trust each other, right?

"Thank you, Devin" He looked around the room for a moment. "Can you and Calleigh for searching for some more iron?
Calleigh interjected "I uh... i have an Iron Cross in my bag-"
She looked to the ground nervously.

"That's fine, Devin, go get it while i set up here" Gabriel motioned towards the bedroom.

"Can i go to?" Calleigh asked quietly

Gabriel nodded "Just be careful"

Devin smiled uneasily "Always"

Turning to face Calleigh, followed her to the bedroom.

Day 1 - 09:30 - The Basement

As Devin and Callie disappeared upstairs, Stefan was feeling slightly useless, so he hobbled from the couch without anyone really noticing. Ice would come later, because he wanted to help, he looked around a few places but without much success. He found a door with a set of stairs going down, and two things crossed his mind. Great stairs, and its dark and I have no flashlight.

He checked the wall for a switch, and luckily for him he found one. The light was dim, and he couldn't see into the corners of the basement, but he spotted what looked like some old pipes or something of the like. So he sat down and took the steps with on his bottom, it was the less painful way to go down them at the moment.

When he reached the bottom he stood with some difficulty and started very slowly toward his objective.
From under the stairs a pair of red, glowing eyes could be seen. The eyes multiplied, growing from 1 pair to 6, all belonging to the same creature. They traced Stefan's path as he attempted to navigate the stairs.

As Stefan's foot touched the floor, it pounced, breaking through the wood and knocking him to the floor. It looked like a spider, except giant.
It glared at Stefan, hissing angrily as it got closer to the defenseless boy. The Spider raised its head, a stream of white netting material flying out towards him.

Stefan hadn't the sense to make a sound as he heard wood breaking behind him. He had only the chance to turn slightly as the something rather huge pounce and knock him to the floor. He eyes got bigger as he looked up with fear, and for a fragment of a second he had to make sure what he was looking at was real. So he counted the legs, yep definitely eight.

He tried hard to scramble from underneath the spider toward the corner with the pipes, just maybe if he could them, he would have something to defend himself with. However before he got to far the giant arachnid began spitting white sticky netting at him, so with his good leg he attempted to kick that particular spot on spider's head. Mostly to distract it for a second longer to gain another attempt at crawling away.

Stefan's foot landed straight against the spider's face, forcing it to shudder and step back. It glared at him, intent in his eyes as he slowly made his way back to him. It shook its head slowly, still recovering from the strike.

It was infuriated, a green tinted venom leaking from its mouth. It stopped as it reached Stefan, raising its leg and attempting to bring it down onto Stefan's shoulder.

The progress backwards was slow and very painful, but he was almost at the pile of pipes. He looked back just to see the spider's leg coming toward him, and he couldn't react in time. He felt the jolt of pain in his shoulder, as the spider's weight fell upon him. He finally yelled out in pain, and for a second he loss all sense of where he was and what was happening.

The spider seemed to snicker, slowly lowering it's mouth to Stefan's neck. It opened its jaws wide, brandishing it's large fangs. In a moment, it reached out to bite him.

It was those fangs lowered to his neck that made Stephan realize he was in deep shit. And his eyes glanced behind him and he saw a pipe just within reach, with a effort he grabbed it and stabbed at the spider's neck with all the force he could muster.

The spider screamed in pain, scrambling off of Stefan and mindlessly stumbling across the room.
As it's screams died down, it slowly fell to the floor, dead.

Stephan watched the spider stumble away and fall to the floor. He continued watching just to make sure the thing stopped moving. With the pipe he had still in his hand he managed to get up into a sitting position, trying to focus through the pain. He sort of thought that maybe his shoulder was just out of the socket, because it was facing in the wrong direction.

And he surveyed the situation, there was a dead spider, and the stairs were gone. Now what the fuck was he going to do. His first thought was to collapse just for a moment, because he hadn't the energy for a second thought and he fell back again.

After hours of unconsciousness, he finally started to move again. Groaning and moaning with just about every moment, he inspected the stairs again. So maybe they weren't broken, he could probably get back up them, so using his weapon as a cane, he hobbled one step at a time. He was half way up when he started to hear the creaks and the squeaks. It didn't sound like a good sound to him, and he moved a little faster.

Just as he reached the last step the stairs began to break. He fell into the upstairs hallway as a loud crash was heard behind him. He stayed on the ground breathing hard, and tossed the stupid pipe down the hallway. "Gabe, there's your stupid iron, now can someone help me up. And don't try the basement the stairs are gone and its infested with spiders."

Gabriel knew better than to ask questions, helping Stefan up and to a nearby Bedroom. "Get some rest man, we'll take care of that leg tomorrow" He placed a bag of ice on Stefan's ankle. "You're a tough bastard, man" He laughed before exiting the room.

Day 1 - 14:00 - Bedroom 3
