The Fairytale Resistance

The Fairytale Resistance

0 INK

The land of fairy stories is not as happy and magical as you would think. Oppressed for years by a tyrannical Queen, fairytale characters rise up to try and reclaim their happy endings...but a wolf is on the prowl...a bad one.

3,549 readers have visited The Fairytale Resistance since VitaminHeart created it.

Introduction

The land of Tale lies far beyond our own world. It runs parrallel to our world...though occasional people, people with a psychic connection, gain visions of Tale once in a while. A few of them, like the Brothers Grimm, wrote down stories based around the visions they saw of the alternate world beyond...and those stories became what we know as fairy stories.

They talk of magic, romance....and sometimes grim scenarios of child-eating witches and wicked imps. All the subjects of the stories existed, but the images only gave glimpses into thier lives....and the reality of life in the world of Tale was rather worse than anoy of the stories made out.

It was claimed, at one point, that life had been very much like the stories, like something Disney might have conjured up. Quaint little villages of happy peasants and jolly, philanthropic lords with dashing sons and beautiful flaxen haired daughters.

The woodlands were full of singing trees and talking animals. Pigs and bears made thier way into towns to buy building supplies and porridge oats and were greeted warmly by the populous.

Princesses sung in their towers awaiting some handsome stranger to undertake a quest for them, and people were happy.

That was, until the King died. Poisoned so they say. He was found face down at his table with a shiny red apple sat beside him, one bite missing. As his daughter, a young woman by the name of Snow White, had recently encountered an 'unfortunate accident' whole walking out in the woods, and his son Charming was oddly unwilling to take up the throne, it passed onto his wife, the recently married Queen. She was a frightening woman, with a frightening aura and a sinister sort of beauty...it was power that she valued the most.

She was an unpopular ruler, so quickly began to gather allies to keep her rule by force and fear.

She hired The Witch from the woods, promising her a fresh supply of children in exchange for her spells and magical knowledge.

She brought the trolls out from under the bridges and trained them as her elite guard. Strong and vicious, they soons became something to fear.

The one of her henchmen that spread the most fear, the greatest terror across the land of Tale was the one they called The Big, Bad Wolf. He was swift, and cunning. He could turn his exhaled breath into terrible winds that could houses apart. He could consume people whole...and he was a master of disguise. By stealing the clothes of those he'd eaten, he could imitate them extremely well.

Soon, Tale was no longer a happy place. The talking animals were sat pleading and whining in cages in town centres, being sold off to the aristocracy as exotic pets. The songs of the magical trees turned to pained howling as they were cut down and carved into enhanted furniture. Princesses had starved to death in thier towers. Two of the pigs had been eaten., and Mommy Bear and Daddy Bear had been turned into a bearskin rug and a taxidermy display.

The place was miserable, and ruled by an iron fist under the banner of the red apple.

However, in an old tower out in the woods, and odd assortment of fairytale characters were meeting regularly, planning in hushed tones how to overthrow the regime and bring things back to how they once were.

They were the Fairytale Rebellion, contianing some of the most wanted in the land....and they were playing a dangerous game. The Wolf was on thier scent, and he was keen to crunch all of them in his jaws.

Maud strolled through the halls; her murderous feelings close behind her, one pale hand clasped her skirts holding them slightly up as she walked. She had thrown on a light cloak and had tied her hair up before she left; she found the palace to be chilly and kept her own chambers at a high temperature always. She avoid places where there were many servants, she despised peoples Company unless there was a reason for it. She had barely finished with her current items and spells for the queen; she had given them to one of the few servant who were under her care, take them to her, while she tended to other business.

The items she had sent to the queen included twelve daggers that would kill anyone insistently if they were to taste even a speck of the person’s blood. Ten charms that detect a enemies presence form a mile away. Five charms that helped you camouflage easier with your surroundings. Several tracking charms of the highest power, she had made sure nothing could interfere with them. Three talismans that if feed a drop of someone’s blood or hair could make them go under the user’s power. It was up to the queen to find whatever uses out of them.
Maud rounded another corner, passing a servant who had pressed herself against the wall trembling. Maud merely kept her eyes ahead ignoring the trash. The servants weren’t use to her being out her chambers and no doubt whispers of her being out and about would now travel the castle quickly , Hopefully making people careful to avoid her so she didn’t have to deal with them.

She had almost sent a servant to do the task for her, but had decided against it. After all they would probably just end up dead for asking such a question to the wolf himself. You see for the last ingredient for the curse, she needed the blood of a cursed man, and who better then the wolf. Most would wonder how she knew this, she was a witch she could spot the curse as soon as she first laid eyes one him. She had hidden a dagger under her skirts if he were to be less than happy of her asking, If he were to say no, well shed take it anyways.

Thumbelina fluttered past the trees, towards the clearing. There stood an old looking tower with only a window at the very top. At the base though, was Red and another girl, a bear, and a cat. She wondered how many people planned to join the Resistance. The girl with golden locks looked a bit to serene to be part of the Resistance. Falling from the window of the tower was a cascade of what seemed to be a rope. Thumbelina paused, hovering next to a branch-what could she possibly offer to the group? She was as tall as a thumb, widowed, and unskilled offensively. Her fluttering wings reminded her of Cornelius, sparking her determination. She was going to avenge her late husband if that was the last thing she did. Without another thought, she glided through the air gracefully until she landed on the shoulder of the blond haired girl's.
"Hello there. I'm Thumbelina."

Aurora watched in astonishment as Red proceeded to climb the tower swiftly, gripping the braid of hair tightly.
Just as Aurora was about to grip the mass of raven locks, she felt something soft brush against her legs.
"Oh it's you!" Aurora half whispered, half shouted. Excitement bubbled in her as she bent down to pet the orange cat.
She watched it lean into her hand as she scratched behind his ears, "What's your name?"
Oh...I wish I could take you...
"Hurry up!" Red called from the tower. Aurora sighed and stood back up, but froze when the cat's eyes grew impossibly bigger.
"Would you like to come with me?" Aurora smiled, petting the cat once more. The cat bobbed it's head, and Aurora didn't miss the human gesture it displayed.
"Okay, I've decided to take you." Aurora laughed, picking up the tabby and placing it on her right shoulder, "Now you hold on tight."
It was at that moment Aurora felt a light weight settle on her left shoulder. "Hello there. I'm Thumbelina." A small, delicate voice said into her ear.
Aurora jumped a little, eyeing the small girl with wings. "Oh hello, I'm Aurora." Aurora replied.
She must be one of the Resistance members.
"Are you here for the meeting as well?" Aurora inquired to the fairy girl.
"Yes." Was she answer and Aurora smiled.
"Alright, hold on you both." Aurora said to both to the cat and Thumbelina.
She then gripped the mass of hair and climbed.

(The Palace. Pardon I forgot to switch the places tab 0_0)

Gambrill watched servants putter past his stable as the time past, listening to the idle chatter of others. He was familiar with most of the nameless faces around the castle ground from just passing the countless hours alone in his small stall watching. Flopping down on the ground, he heated up the fire in his belly to conjure smoke in his mouth and blow rings in the air, entertaining himself. The smoke leaked through the cracks in the wood and out into the open air that he yearned to be in. The only time he was usually allowed from this place was to be sent on an attack, to kill but at this point if it meant stretching his wings then he hoped an order would come soon. In the very least that someone would come speak a word to him to break the silence of his now smokey hutch.

When Puss was placed on Aurora's right shoulder, his tail swayed from side to side as he continued to purr. He noticed a tiny fairy settle down on her opposite shoulder and he gazed at her wings and thought she might have been some sort of bug. He swung his paw to try and pat her with it, a harmless swing without the use of his claws.

[#The Tower]

"Oh hello, I'm Aurora." The girl's lips formed a kind smile as she introduced herself, "Are you here for the meeting as well?"
"Yes." Thumbelina chimed, but her cheery expression was replaced with one of fright as the cat swung a paw her way. Realizing that he wasn't trying to harm her, she fluttered towards the cat's face. She smiled and patted his forehead gently.
"Alright, hold on you both." Aurora spoke as she took hold of the long rope that turned out to be hair. Thumbelina returned to her place on the blond's shoulder and grasped the cloth of her dress for support. She could only imagine how much strength was needed in order to haul a human body up the tower. Then, her crystal blue eyes peered upwards at the source of the almost endless chain of hair. There was a girl at the top of the tower which Red had already successfully climbed up.

Rapunzel waited patiently for the golden-haired girl to climb up. She knew it was difficult for people who weren't used to it, to climb up her hair. However, she noticed that she now bore a feline and a tiny companion on either shoulder. Rapunzel leaned on the stone windowsill and gazed intently at the three.

She noticed the large form of a bear a little way off. So many creatures of all shapes and sorts, all coming for reasons of their own. She too, had her own reason for joining the Rebellion. Red too, surely had her own reason.

"I wonder how many will come," she murmured.

“Stupid Hansel,” a young girl muttered as she made her way through the trees. “Where’d he go and run off to now? We were supposed to meet up earlier.” The youth’s name was Gretel, and the Hansel she was complaining about was her older brother. She was fourteen, but looked even younger in appearance due to her petite form.

Her dark green eyes brightened slightly at the sight of the stone tower that emerged through the thick of the trees. “There we go,” she whispered as she looked up at it. The wind swept through her chin-length amber hair, and rustled the knee-length hem of her pale-green dress. “Now if only Hansel gets here soon,” she grumbled.

If he didn't, impatience might win out and she may scale the tower first.

Red grasped hold of the hair rope and clambered up the side of the tower, swinging herself over the ledge and into the tower room. She had replaced her axe on the strap over her back, and slipped a pack down from her shoulder, pulling out several pieces of rather untidy paper and making her way over to the nearby table, setting them down.

"We have a mission." she stated, flipping some of her hair out her face.

She'd been drawing up plans for a while. Thankfully sge'd managed to strike up a deal with a few talking birds to provide some intelligence on the target. Magpies would do anytihngh for shiny objects, though they had a tendency to talk all at once and lose the thread of what they were saying.

Bear wandered over to the foot of the tower, lifting his head to regard the window.
"Uh...something tells me that me coming up might be a bit hard on your hair Miss Rapunzel." he called.

Thumbelina let out a small squeak as Aurora hopped into the tower from the window sill. She panted lightly, it was only expected - the tower was quite tall.

"We have a mission." Red stated bluntly while flipping some of her brown locks out of her face. Thumbelina fluttered her way off Aurora's shoulder and settled down on the table where Red had placed a few papers on. The small fairy wondered what the brunette had planned, as far as she could tell - the notes and diagrams were pretty detailed.

She peered upwards at the girl by the window sill, reeling in her long black hair. She'd heard of her before, the girl trapped inside a tower, 'Rapunzel' was her name?

[#The tower]

When Aurora finally made her way up and into the tower, she took the time to take in her surroundings. The tower was unexpectedly spacious and homey-looking. As Thumbelina flew off the shoulder, Aurora's cerulean eyes trailed after her in curiosity. The little fairy landed on a pile of papers Red had splayed out on the table. The orange tabby jumped gracefully off Aurora other shoulder, but not before purring once against her neck. She laughed, petting it affectionately.

Aurora continued to scan the tower, finally placing the owner of the extravagantly long raven hair. She was small and quite cute-looking, yet the expression in her eyes told a different story. There was an inexplainable darkness that sifted through them and Aurora felt a deep pang in her chest.
Will I look like that in a couple years? Months? Days?
Aurora couldn't help but sigh for the poor girl. Hopefully the Resistance would change those eyes.

"We have a mission." Red announced in a commanding voice, snapping Aurora back to the present.
All eyes turned towards their hooded leader.

As Puss leapt down from Aurora's shoulder, once upon his feet again, he walked a circle about her legs to once against brush his body and the top of his head against her calves. It was his way of saying thanks before he padded away from her to go tip over onto his side along the wall and away from others. It'll be as though he had never entered. The stone floor was cool and rough against his fur, which made him roll about, rubbing his back into the rock. With a few quiet purrs, he gazed at the Red Hood as she prepped her spiel.

Seeing as her leader had started talking, Rapunzel quickly swept up the rest of her hair before staring down at the great form of the bear. He had been patient – she quickly motioned with her hand for him to go around to the back of the tower, keeping an eye on Red the whole time. Thankfully, she was still waiting for peoples’ attention.

Her braid snaking behind her, Rapunzel moved to a different room of the tower, before throwing her hair over a candle-holder built into the wall. It wrapped around, and with a sharp tug and a slight click, the lever gave way to open a passageway beneath the floor of the tower. There was more than one entrance, for times such as these when Rapunzel’s hair would be insufficient. However, they were far better hidden, and far more dangerous to venture through unknowingly.

Quickly, familiarly, the quiet young woman swiftly stepped made her way through the pitch-black passage, and eventually reached nothing more than a solid wall… or so it would seem at first sight. Along the way, Rapunzel had been looping her black braid of hair around necessary points, and with a swift pull, mechanisms built into the tower’s foundation itself caused the stone wall to creep open. It had been in fact a secret entrance, impossible to discover from the outside, its seal so perfect that not even the thinnest ray of light had been able to squeeze through. The passage was only one of many secrets of the tower that only the Rebellion knew of.

The dark passageway flooded with light, and shadowed figures came into view. Rapunzel studied them, until she was satisfied that they were not wolves, before murmuring, “Step carefully,” and turning back. Whatever Red was saying was bound to be important.

Bear slipped inside, trying not to draw too much attention to the other entrance. The fewer perople that knew about it the better. He pulled up his lumbering frame into the tower room and made his way to a spot against the wall, so he didn't block anyone's view with his bulk.

Red looked up and regarded those assembled skeptically.
"Not everyone's here yet, but we need to get started. Today is the day we launch one of our first big attacks on the Queen's regime. We're starting at the easiest rtargets and working our way up, through the ranks of the Queen's council. They're her pillars of support than help her keep power, like the legs of a spider...and we're going to pull each leg off."

She reache dinto her papers and pulled up a poster, one that had been torn off a wall by the looks of it. It featured a picture of Goldie Lox, with her long flowing hair, striking a smile with some propaganda slogan written along the bottom.

"First target, Miss Goldie Lox. Her lack of powers and her residence being away form the palace makes her a good target. She also runs the biggest talking animal slavery racket in the kingdom. If we can free the animals from the cages in her property, we will most liklely get ourselves a number of allies."

Lykos smiled at the women all together.
He knew Goldie and Karen were not fond of each other.
He took a breath in. They all smelled delicious. Goldie smelled of expensive perfumes, Lottie had a natural good smell, and Karen smelled like rotting corpses. His eyes darted towards the goat again.
"Well, ladies, I shall take my leave and let you talk of perfumes, hair, and ways to distroy the Resistance." he bowed and looked at the goat.
"And I can't wait till you find a way to mess up this job." he licked his lips and left the group.

Along the halls he heard several servants whispering about the Witch being out. Well, they were talking about that until the Wolf came walking by.
"Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf,
Big Bad Wolf, Big Bad Wolf,
Tra la la la la." he sang in a sing song voice. Out of boredom, he switched his form to a blue haired girl.

“Oh, her,” a rather loud voice ground out. It belonged to the youth named Gretel, who had also joined Rapunzel and Bear on the journey through the secret passage. She had a look of disgust etched onto her face as she glowered at the beaming young woman in the poster. “Even with all she does, she still tries to act all innocent,” the young girl spat out, her green eyes narrowing slightly

Her hatred for Miss Goldie Lox was great, but she had a different target in mind for reasons far more personal than the distaste she held for the Queen’s propaganda asset. However, Miss Lox still earned a high rank in Gretel’s list of hate. Despite the evil young woman being several years older than her, Gretel couldn’t help but be disgusted the first time she saw Goldie Lox in person. Telling such blatant lies with teary eyes, still trying to act all innocent despite that, it near drove the young amber-haired girl mad.

She couldn’t wait to tell Hansel who the first target would be – however something stopped Gretel’s thoughts short. She saw the strangest expression on the talking bear’s face. ’It looks like he has a more personal problem with Goldie Lox than me,’ she thought. Then once again remembering her own reason for joining the rebellion, drew her knees to her chest and gave Red all her quiet attention instead.

Hansel broke himself from his thoughts, realizing that he was late for the meeting.

As he walked, he repeated to himself multiple plans. He paused, stopping to write something in his book. He crossed out a part, rather irritably. After a bit, he reached the others. "Sorry I'm late," Hansel said with a smile. "What'd I miss?"

Gretel perked a little at hearing the familiar voice. She quickly darted to the window and looked down. "Hansel? You're late, you idiot!" she shouted down the tower at the tiny figure that was her older brother.

Rapunzel made a move to assist the girl, but Gretel just waved her off. Sweeping a strand of her chin-length amber hair behind her ear, she lifted the hem of her pale green skirt. It was fine - she had shorts of a darker green and sturdier material on underneath the light-clothed skirt. Where there was meant to be a belt, the fourteen-year-old girl had coils of thin but sturdy rope coiled and looped through.

Taking end of it, she tied it with a complex knot to the hook that jutted out of the window-frame before tossing the rest down to her brother. 'After that incident, I know how to be prepared,' Gretel thought darkly.

Suddenly beside her, was Rapunzel, her distant blue eyes looking down at the boy named Hansel. "How do you know he is not the wolf?" she murmured.

Gretel looked at the the long-braided girl strangely, an eyebrow raised as she leaned foward onto the stone windowsill. "What do you mean? Hansel is Hansel, my brother."

Blue eyes glanced back at Red before returning to the base of the tower. "The wolf can be anyone. If you're not careful, Red may kill your brother before she checks..."

Gretel drew back slightly, taking in the sight of the older girl. There wasn't a hint of humor, nor a hint of any emotion on Rapunzel's face. Gretel couldn't tell exactly what she meant, but it gave her an eerie feeling.

"Besides," the raven-haired young woman added, "I am the keeper of the tower."

She got a small charm; one for locating it was short distance one simple to make it should work perfectly for this inconvenience.

She hung the charm in front of her focusing on the wolf, soon the charm started spinning stopping and pointing down the left corridor. Maud set off her walk more brisk reflecting her current state of mind. She could feel a little hunger boiling up at the edge of her conscious, how irritating. She stopped finally spotting the wolf across the outer courtyard. She stopped taking a moment to collect herself. She would not allow someone to see her fualtered. Hansel gripped the rope, tugging it a little to test its firmness. Hansel started climbing up the rope.

"Aww, Gretel, I was just really deep in thought. You know me. Deep thinker," Hansel said.

Hansel quickly climbed onto the window frame, jumping onto the floor.

Hansel dropped his bag, and began placing his weapons on top of it. It was highly unlikely that he had left himself completely defenseless. Despite how at-ease Hansel seemed, it was silly to think that it was nothing more than a front. "Alright Red, I'm smiling wide." Hansel smiled, trying to show all his teeth.

"Good Mouring Maud." he said with a pleasant smile to the Witch. "Do you need me for something?" The animal in Lykos told him to flee, but his arrogance and pride won.

He smiled, revealing his razor sharp teeth.

Maud stopped frowning a little at the wolfs manner, she knew she got a kick out of changing genders but really. “Yes I do need your assistance of sorts.” She said not bothering with a greeting of any sorts. “I’m making a spell for around the castle and need a drop of cursed mans blood.”

She stopped reaching into her cloak she brought out a small flask. Holding it between them.

He had a few friends that the mistress was slaving around that he wouldn't have mind freeing. He was curious though as to how they were planning to kill Lox. Were they planning to breach the Queen's castle? If so, that was suicide. We're they planning to lure her away from its protection with a ruse? Rolling onto his back, he glanced about the group, unsure if they had the intelligence to even perform what they declared. They lacked a strategist.

Red narrowed her eyes for a moment at Hansel before sweeping off back to the table, setting her axe back down as she moved on with the plans.

"Right. Tomorrow morning Goldie is sceduled to be at her property in Index, three miles north of here, on the other side of the woods. She's there to oversee the open trade day of captured talkers. Anyone can come into her courtyard and negotiate a price for thier captured animals with her staff. She checks in one it every now and again, but the courtyard is full of guards.

It will be easy enough to get in. All we need is some talking animals to serve as our apparent slaves for sale, Bear has kindly volunteered, and several of us to disguise as traders. The others will follow behind at a distance. Once inside, one of our animals is going to cause a big fuss. It should be enough to anger Goldie and have her send the guards after it....which leaves her open. I'd suggest we take her alive if we can. It gives us rather more power, and it'll probably hack the Queen off quite nicely. All we have to worry about is that other council members sometimes show up at the meets. If we catch a glimpse of Witch or....or..Him...well we should abort." Red faltered a little on the last part, clenching her hands up and givign a sligh,t involutary shudder.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Has this roleplay died? I really hope not, I was enjoying this.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Might be without internet for five days, (AHHHHHH!) so I might go quiet for a while. I will be back though.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Yeah, we seem to have lost them all of a sudden. =(

That's a pity.

Still yes, we've got Pinoccchio.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Yay, a Pinocchio! Even if he's still in progress, that's great!

But... did we lose both Queen Grimhilde and Lottie?! They're in the orphanage... ;_;

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Anyone seen Amaranta? Cause I really want to get back into this but I can't until either Lottie responds or someone else talks to Karen.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Sorry guys ignore this message, I just need to post 10 times in a forum before I can PM! :(

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

I'm still here guys. I'm just doing a lot of stuff this weekend and I might post as Puss soon. He's kind of just a hired hand that needs to be hired so, yeah, I'll need a point to introduce him. But yeah, when I get a chance to sit here, I'll look it up.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

I had that at first, but then I refreshed again and Lottie was back. :| XD So I figure they're in the RP but rpgateway just did something funny?

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

O.O I think something went weird with the character page for a moment, because I could see other characters like Foolish Lottie and another dragon, but now that I refreshed, they're gone o...o

Did anyone else see this?

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Oh - it started! I didn't get an email, sorry >...<

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

lol I had no idea this finally started. I didn't get any email alert. o_o I'll get to reading right away.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

I'm putting Lottie on hold as another RPer might be interested in taking the role of Rumplestiltskin, and thier backgrounds might not match up entrirely, so I'm keeping that on hold until they decide and things get works out. Hope that's alright.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Went with the girl from Rumpelstiltiskin instead of Rose Red. Hope that's okay. :)

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

That's fine, Cinderella is still reserved for you.

Also, regaridngh the dragon role, I received the reservation form Cortezhorse by PM last night after I went to bed, and I compared them, and I think that came in first, so therefore I'm gonna put Gambrill as the dragon. It's tough having two applications for the same role. D:

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

I need to recreate cinderella later tonight I know for a fact she will be in by tonight or tomorrow afternoon just as soon as my brother gets off the computer because this laptop does not work it messes up everything =.= so she will be up soon! I hope thats okay

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Dibs on Wicked Queen and Rose Red. :)

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Hi Folks. As it happens we already have a Christian Andersen character in the form of crazy Karen from 'The Red Shoes'.

I'm more or less widening it to include anything considered in the 'classic fairy stories' bracket, as long as the writer can fit them into the world. I decided agaisnt putting Wonderland or Oz stuff in, as the world they're set in is rather considerably different, while the classic stories can, more or less be unified into one.

Like for example the Queen of Wonderland and the Queen of Tale are quite different in how they run things, and the Witch in Tale is rather more cannibalistic and prone to building houses out of confectionry.

I just think it'd be hard to get them to gel well. I might do a twisted Oz RP at some point though...evil Tin Man needs and airing.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Trust me, I've gone down the path of trying to merge it all. It's horrible. Very, very, horrible. I am very happy with it being where it is. If you want to Rp Alice in Wonderland, then go make an Alice in Wonderland Rp. If you want to do Oz, then do an Oz RP. Merging it all together into one DC/Marvel showdown is a disaster. It just makes the story even bigger than what it really is. This storyline is designed specifically for the cast given and Brother Grimm fairytale selection.

The GM does say on the front page that she'll allow other fairy tale characters, so I think some of your Hans Christian Andersen and the other "fairy tale" stories (Wonderland and Oz are NOT traditional fairytale) will be allowed as long as you PM her and ask.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

Yes, I know of Hans Christian Andersen and that the fairy tales have no real definite origin, but I personally feel that the current setting given and the character roles provided don't seem to merge well with other fairy tales. In the end, it's all the GM's choice really, but I feel that with the evil queen and the wolf as the main antagonists and the current Grimm cast, that including the the Wizard of Oz or Alice in Wonderland, wouldn't feel right...

I'll be dedicated to this RP either way, and like I said, it's really the GM's decision, but that's my opinion on the situation ^^"

Personally, I like the current scenario and cast as it is.

Re: [OOC] The Fairytale Resistance

But there are more Fairy Tale authors other than Grimm. Such as Hans Christian Andersen. Some of the most famous fairy tales do not even have an author to acknowledge since they are so old; they simply are recorded as anonymous or reduced to country. The majority of Fairy Tale books you pick up are not reduced to one author unless it's specialized, they are made up of every walk of life; it's what's make them so magical. Honestly, to me it seems to take away more when it's reduced to one set story style, and allowing people to enjoy their favorite stories is alot more fun.
