Description

Image
Name Masa Kiyoshi
Age 25
Gender Female
Personality Because of her past, Masa’s personality is a little different from most girls. She is a little over-confident and likes to show off, though is easily embarrassed and sometimes wishes to be kept to herself. For the most part she is fairly laid-back and friendly, but her short-fused temper is often lit when people are hurting those close to her. While she rarely allows people’s words to get under her skin, certain important people in her life can say things that bother her greatly. Masa hates depending on others and wants to be strong, however at times she is overwhelmed with the emotions she tends to bottle up inside and hide from the rest of the world. As for romance, she is a little out of the loop. Though every now and then she finds someone she develops feelings for, it is very hard for her to be open about them. This fact is one of the reasons that she is embarrassed so easily. Most people are easily drawn in by her personality, though there are those few out there who dislike her for it.

Physical Description Masa stands at around 5’3’’ and weighs a light 100 pounds. Like any woman she has curves, though her figure is masked by baggy, male clothes. To hide her breasts, she uses an ace bandage – this gives her the fake image of a nearly flat chest. Her dark brown hair is cut short into a messy shag boy-cut and often falls in front of her equally as chocolaty eyes. High cheek bones and a strong jaw give her heart-shaped face a boyish charm, though with added makeup they give her a pixie-like appearance.
History Masa was born to a rich man and a prostitute who were married seven months into the pregnancy. She was raised in a wealthy environment, always getting what she wanted and never having to deal with the struggles of life. Instead of attending public school, her family paid for her to enter a famous rich-student school where she was educated by the best of the best. At age seventeen Masa graduated high school and initially went to college to study psychology and the brain. However, a year into her studies she dropped from those classes and instead took as many music courses as possible. Her parents, enraged, cut her money flow and denied her as their daughter, saying that someone of her class should major in something useful that would produce a large amount of money. At age 22 Masa packed her belongings and moved from the high life into that of your average student. But growing up in a wealthy environment corrupted her view on the world. Reality set in and by age 23 she was living just above poverty. Struggling on her own, the now 24 year old moved once more and started a new life pretending to be a boy. This proved to open her more musical opportunities, though she still struggled daily to pay off debts and everyday needs.

Getting up in the morning so early was something Masa would never get used to. The blaring scream of her alarm clock jerked her out of bed as she slammed her hand onto the off button. A sigh escaped her lips. It was 4:30. Like every other morning, she trudged groggily down the hallway and into the closest bathroom where she took a fifteen minute shower. Under the steaming water her mind lost its cloudy haze, allowing her to recall her surroundings.

She was in Takeshi’s house – well, at least he called it a house; it was more of a mansion. Masa hopped out of the shower and dried herself thoroughly as her thoughts rambled through her head painfully. A week ago she had been recruited by Takeshi to be his gay boyfriend – she accepted believing it wouldn’t be so much trouble, but now she was an employee at the King’s Café and she was even living in the guy’s mansion.

But part of her didn't mind all that much, to be considered a guy. Her rent to live with Takeshi was low and the conditions were much better than where she'd been living before. Takeshi. Masa felt a light flutter in her chest at the thought of the name. As much as she liked him, though, she wasn't allowed to like him. She was a guy to him, someone he'd never see as anything more than a close friend or a brother. But maybe it was better to have a one-sided love with someone. That way, you couldn't get hurt.

“How troublesome,” the brunette murmured. She dressed quickly in the clothes (and ace bandage) she’d brought along, threw a towel over her head, and trotted back to her room. It was now 5:00. In fifteen minutes they had to meet at the café. A groan escaped her. Messily drying her hair with the towel, she collapsed back onto the bed. Fifteen minutes. She could still sleep. In a matter of moments she was asleep, out like a light.

"Ungrateful daughter! Spending our money for a musical career! Have you no humility? Are you trying to tarnish our name? Hey! Get back here! Masa! Dammit, Masa!"

"Masa!"

The brunette bolted out of bed, twirling around as the sound of her name jerked her from her disturbing dream. "What? Who? Where?" she sputtered quickly before realizing she was standing alone in the middle of her room. A sigh escaped her. It had only been her dream. Nobody was really calling her. But there was Takeshi's voice calling up to her room and for a stricken moment she realized that he had been the one to abruptly pull her from her slumber. "I-I'm coming!" she yelled back, struggling to flatted her hair which had taken it upon itself to stick out in every direction. Giving up on the fly-away strands, she raced down the stairs two by two and upon entering the kitchen nearly crashed into the cook. At the last minute she side-stepped and skidded to a halt, hair a mess and tie askew.

“I’m here,” she panted, flustered. “Sorry. I fell asleep. Again.” This wasn’t the first time she’d done this and she was quite sure it wouldn’t be the last. Masa clamped her lips shut and gave him a slight bow of apology. What he must think of me, I don’t want to know…
