Lord Aelthorian Brom the III assembled the bulk of his command at Arabel. Upon his arrival, Lord Brom was ushered in by 1400 of his fighting Army along with the carriage trail of some 40 odd merchants that began directly supplying the march. The discussions in Arabel governance roughly argued over the decision long in advance prior to Brom's Army arriving. Without much convincing, Lord Brom ordered the authority of the city and the general region under his command. The small province council and governing authority of Arabel after only holding discussion for an hour agreed under certain concerns for general trade and citizens.

Lord Brom rose through the ranks of the royal guards he was proudly appointed to after becoming noticed as a viable junior guard for many high wealth nobility throughout Waterdeep. He is a son of a fruit merchant that ran up and down the Sword Coast alongside the chaos and tragedy that can be found there. When Brom's father settled in the rural areas of Waterdeep Brom squired as early as 12yrs old to help make money for the small family his father and step-mother were raising. His upper-body strength and intelligence for comprehending the engineering and critical thinking skills caught the eye of a traveling knight who had the ear of a lower ranking Lord in Waterdeep. Over the course of the next half decade he served in the Waterdeep Militia providing sentry work and escort services in public events.

His wealth he acquired upon his rank of Captain and now serving for the Upper Courts of Waterdeep provided him with a small band of followers that valued Brom's principle on the battlefield and when brutally challenged on the streets. With the attention pressed upon him he established the Order of the Lion and garrisoned approx. 60 men immediately assisting the small 20 acre ranch that would end up being his manor when he took time away. It was these core connections that led him to hearing about the Fall of Cormyr. Brom's fascination came from his boyhood memories of merchants who would tell great tales about the mysticism and romance that whirled around Suzail. The mutual peace with the metallic dragon's of King's Forest. For Brom, the news of this utopian landscape to be torn apart was devastating.

His resignation was soon upon his 36th birthday...his service after 20 years, under the men and general citizens he served would be considered honorable to relinquish his position. The rush to reclaim Cormyr was such a passionate aspect of Brom's life that after only one week of resignation he began the march to Arabel. After a decade long garrison for his Order of the Lion and a generous contribution from some of the Lord's of Waterdeep assigning a small battalion sized element under his authority as a gift for his resignation Lord Brom left Waterdeep with approx. 1400 fighters.

His herald march reached Arabel like a whirlwind and by the time Lord Brom began establishing his command many of the outlying northern cities followed soon after Arabel's transformation. His defenses span along the High Road heading as west as Castle High Horn and as east as the Tower of Tranquil. An awkward, thin line of defense that carve around the landscape where sight benefits the position. Lord Brom's first initiative was to provide a reserve for the tribute of other small detachments of militia in other townships that supported the move of this knight taking the call of justice. He had no interest in making any alarming statements directly at the Wizard King knowing to well the tribes of the patchwork of goblins, orcs, and trolls roamed the edges doing the work of the Wizard King.

He strongly pressed Castle Crag and seized the fortification in a swift first wave for the Order of the Lion. The castle formerly was the Order of the Purple Dragon's command post. Unfortunately, and shocked to find no prisoners and no sign of the Purple Dragons' order, Lord Brom assigned the castle under his authority and began using the fort as the seat of his Order's command and where he houses nearly 2100 fighters in reserve. Lord Brom's remaining force is depicted below. Key markings have also been made to help you understand the landscape.
