James Jordan.

James wrapped the towel firmly around his waist and pushed down hard on the slippery handle of the bathroom door. He burst out into the corridor, where he saw his father, who hastily thrust a pile of clothing into his hands.
"Quick" His father said, averting his gaze a little, "Put some damn clothes on. You're running late,"
"I know, I know" James replied, scurrying off into the living room, where he swiftly pulled the clothing on, item by item.

Today was probably going to be one of the most important days of his life. He was about to get married. Married. For a whole year! And the best part? This was a project. He didn't even know the girl he was getting married to! And he wouldn't find out until he met her. His mind began to wander, as it often did, to all the possibilities. Perhaps she would be a beautiful brunette, with a models physique, and a scholars brains. Or maybe she would be a toothless no-name, with zero intelligence and a love of soap operas. He chuckled to himself. Either way, he'd be forced to stick it out. He needed that funding.

He took a glance out of the living room window, which backed onto the garden. In the pond he could see the carp swimming around, happy in their own comfort zone. And oh, how he wished he could join them, in his comfort zone, the ocean. The big blue beauty. Why could he not simply marry her?

"James?" A voice echoed. He turned on his heels to see his father standing in the doorway, dragging a large suitcase behind him, "Are you ready."
With one last look at the pond, James nodded.
"Sure am." He lied. And he put on his best smile, before turning back to his father, and walking out of the door.

James Jordan.

James leapt from the seat of the taxi, and practically sprinted towards the entrance to the airport. He was running unbelievably late!
The automatic doors slip apart, and he took a moment in the air-conditioned lobby to catch his breath.

When he got to his gate, he slumped on a metallic bench, and decided he had time to relax a little. He had managed to arrive in time.
There were people everywhere, and any one of them could have been the wife that would be awaiting him at the other end.
He smiled wryly to himself, and rummaged a hand in his little leather satchel. He produced his silver ipod, and quickly popped both buds into his ears, in quick succession.

As the music began to fill his ears, he couldn't help but let his foot tap hard against the floor in time with the beat. And, all at once, he was overtaken with an odd sensation. A feeling of longing.
Homesickness? Already? He thought to himself. But it was true, he was going to miss his home, his father, his boat, his drums.
"At least I still have you." He mumbled to Hayley Williams, as she serenaded his ears.

I drank the last few sips of my coffee and got up to trow it away in the trash. Just when I came back the principal came closer to our group and said, "Can I have your attentions please." when she got everybody's attention she continued, "I bet you are wondering who will be you partner for this project, so I will now announce the couples. When I call your name, please come forth." she took an envelope from one of the teachers and opened it. "Juliet Knopfler and James Jordan, you are the first couple, please come forth." she gave them the airplane tickets, an envelope and a little box, then she proceeded to call the next couple. I felt my heart in my throat when she said my name. "Vivian Spenser and Aiden Fletcher..." We walked to her and she gave us the same things she gave to the previous couples, then continued calling the left two couples. When all of us had our partners one of the teacher took out a sheets of paper and handed everyone one. "This is your marriage certificate so please sign it." I signed my name then gave it back. "The envelope I gave you has the key to your apartment and a bank accountant. Please try not to lose it. Same goes for the rings." I opened the jewelry box and took out the bigger ring and gave it to Aiden. "I guess this is yours." I smiled at him, "I'm Vivian. Let's get along for the next year." I said.

"Congratulations on your marriage, and I hope everyone of you will finish this project." the principal said. Our flight was announced and we slowly boarded the plain.
