Introduction
The Summer of 2012:
The old farmhand has just left for Ireland, and will never be coming back. As upsetting as that was for the Flame family, they need to move on and find a new farmhand. Ideally, someone young, energetic, hard working and someone willing to get their hands dirty.
When the owner of the farm, Henry Flame, puts out an advertisement looking for a new farmhand, he finds someone.
There are a few perks to working for the Flame's that make it ideal for whatever young man gets the job, including but limited too:
-Getting to live in the Flame's household.
-Having weekends off.
-Paid more than average.
-The Flame's have a hot daughter.
So, this should be a good Summer for that farmhand. But before he even gets to apply, he needs to know these things:
Henry Flame-The owner of the farm and your boss. He is strict and protective, smart and hard working. Recently, he has suffered several injuries and can't work as hard as he used too, which is why he hired you. He is kind and caring, and normally understanding, just don't get on his bad side.
Jackie Flame-The farmer's wife and your boss. She is smart and kind, but not very hard working. She loves to cook and keeps everything nice and clean.
Sonya Flame-The farmer's daughter and your basic guide. She shows you around, teaches you the farm ways, cooks and sometimes cleans. She is a hard worker and is pretty nice, but very stubborn. Of course she is a flirt, but it isn't smart to try and get with her.
Mason Whittington-Sonya's boyfriend and your worst nightmare. A jerk, stupid, your average jock. He shows up to "help" at the farm alot.
"So boy, ready to start the job?"

"Daddy, can I go with Mason tonight?" she asked, glancing at Kain.
"Sure," he said, turning to her and smiling.
"Alright. Love you daddy!" she said, running happily to him and kissing him on the cheek before running outside.

What ravishing eyes she had. But he was a professional. He couldn't dwell too long on her. He cracked a smile and turned his attention back to her father, whom he hoped had not read too much into it.
"Yes, Mr. Flame," he said with a nod, straightening himself. He could not appear too nervous, he realized, so he relaxed himself a little. Oh God, he wasn't making a very good impression, was he? "I'd be available to work all summer long, if you'll have me."

Henry had always been a hard-working man, and would be, until the day he died. His hair was now grey, and he shook as he walked up the stairs, but he did it anyway.
In the hallway was a family picture, one that included Lenny, the previous farmhand. He looked at it sadly, but knew Lenny had gone home and would love it there. He opened the door that was now Kain's room and walked inside. It was simple but somewhat decorated inside and had nice view of the farm from the window. "Here," he mumbled.

Mr. Flame wanted him to come along upstairs, so Kain pulled himself off of the couch and followed him, careful not to get too close. Mr. Flame was a slow man, Kain realized, and he began to wonder just how old he was. It was better not to ask.
Eventually he was shown to a guest room that overlooked the farm. From the window, Kain could pick out a few buildings in the distance, and the Camaro parked next to them. He might have to go back for that. "Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Flame," he said. "I, er, I might have to go grab the car, if you don't mind. My things are in the trunk."

"Well, I'm going to bed now. If you stay up until 11 or later, which I'm sure ya do, you can get to know Sonya. She'll teach you everything tomorrow. Goodnight. Oh, and call me Henry," said Henry, a twinkle in his eye as he mentioned his daughter.

Kain said his good nights and headed outside to the car, from which he retrieved a box or two and a small suitcase, though there was a staggering number of other pieces of luggage. The boxes were fairly heavy, as they contained his texts and novels, but it was nothing that he could not handle. If he struggled, he told himself, he would not last too long on the farm.
The sun had gone down by the time Kain arrived, and he was already tired from the long drive out to the farm. However, it would be impolite of him to head to bed without introducing himself to Mr. Flame's daughter, and he elected to spend a few hours reading and studying instead of sleeping.

She screamed back. "The feeling is mutual! Get out of my way!" He grabbed her and pushed her onto the ground, kicking her in the stomach before he ran to his truck and drove off, leaving her on her front porch, clutching her stomach. She made her way inside and shut the door behind her.
It had been loud enough to hear from inside the house by someone with average hearing, unlike her father's or her mother's. Both were a bit hard of hearing.
She sat beside the door, and started to cry. When did it come to this? she wondered, putting her head in her hands and weeping softly, wondering why they always made up and why it always came back to that.

That must have been Mason, Kain realized, Sonya's boyfriend. How could she stay with someone like him?
He sighed. He didn't want to become involved-- he was supposed to be professional, after all-- but he couldn't leave a woman like Sonya.
Kain pulled himself out of bed and pulled on his jeans, then headed downstairs to console her. "Sonya?" he asked, flipping on the light near the bottom of the stairs. "Sonya, are you okay?" He began to follow the sounds of sobbing throughout the house, but stopped in the kitchen to fix her a bag of ice.

"I'm fine!" she said, standing up and heading towards the kitchen, where she heard footsteps. What was he doing in the kitchen? It didn't matter, she wasn't one to rat out.

After ensuring that the bag wouldn't leak, Kain headed back toward the living room to offer her the ice pack that he had made. "Here," he said. "Put this on the bruises. It doesn't look like you're bleeding, at least...." Kain sighed.

Maybe she could use some conversation. But what was he supposed to talk about? "I, er, I learned to make those a while ago," he said. Crap. Maybe he shouldn't have said that.

Soon enough, their silence became unbearably awkward. What was one supposed to say to a girl who had just taken a boot to the stomach? "So, er... you're gonna be okay, I think. Nothing's broken or anything, right?"

Honestly, he asked himself, what was one supposed to say? He sighed again and headed for the stairs. "Er... I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Your dad's starting me then. And, er, my name's Kain."

The next morning Sonya woke up very early and made her way carefully down the stairs wearing pajama shorts and a tank top. She turned on the stove and the coffee pot. She made some eggs, sausage, toast and coffee before making her way back up the stairs and knocking on Kain's door. "Wake up," she said softly, opening his door and flipping the light switch on.
She quickly went back down the stairs and made herself a plate. She then sat at the table and waited for Kain, eating very slowly. She always enjoyed her breakfast. It was, after all, the most important meal of the day. She hoped Kain would agree.

Morning came just as quickly. The bed had been comfortable, and Kain felt remarkably rested, but he could not help turning away from the light beside the bed. Sonya was there, looking brighter than she had last night. Though some part of him was eager to begin working, Kain could only manage a muffled groan or two.
Once she was gone, Kain pulled himself out of the bed and made it up, dressing himself in a tight-fitting t-shirt and cargo shorts. When he had fixed himself up to look at least somewhat presentable, he headed downstairs, following the smell of fresh coffee. Though he did not drink coffee often, it was a sign that something might be waiting for him.
"Morning," he said, pushing open the door to the kitchen. He scanned the room, stopping on the sausage in the pan on the stove. "How'd you sleep? Thanks for waking me up."

I went ahead and replied, by the way. For reference, I'm usually able to get online at least once per day.

What are you expecting out of me in terms of role play? Are there any length requirements I need to know about, or anything similar?
