(I already have this character developed, so I will just be copying and pasting most of this information, but of course add in universe lore as well.)
Name: Dr. Nash Weiss
Age: 36
Height: 5'8
Occupation: Trainer, Astronomer, Xenologist
Gender: Male

[here].
Dr. Weiss has been called from his work in Alola to a regional crisis taking place in Kanto, and has been sent to the Johto region to get ready for this adventure. He, along with his team of pokemon have been called to action and are more than ready to analyze, dismantle, and solve just what this issue could be. His hypothesis is that this is the possible work of some otherworldly invader, with the high trend it has taken over the years, especially with the recent events of the Alola region. He has packed his standard travel bags with him for the journey, including the standard bag, and a hiker's backpack of supplies and his research tools. He looks almost comically small to the bag, however, yet still somehow manages to carry it with ease. Despite his rather weak appearance, he packs a powerful team of pokemon, and a small amount of extra emotional support with his youngest and seventh member, Cleffa, who is unregistered for battle, but instead for emotional support service and for research. He would protect Cleffa with his life and sees her as his child, as he did raise the pokemon from an egg. With his Beheeyem and the rest of his team by his side, however, he will do his best to take down any enemy that comes in the way of himself or his allies without hesitation, even if it means risking the possibility of losing a subject for research via "impromptu disassembly under poor conditions."
--Here's a little pre-event bio, as well as his team lineup. Everything below this point is also in the reference album I posted.--
Dr. Nash Weiss, Astronomer, Xenologist, and a trainer, well known for his many studies and discoveries regarding astronomical studies and the studies of the origins, biology and behaviors of many extraterrestrial and extradimensional pokemon across the regions. He has many notable achievements, such as his studies on Ultra Beasts and Ultra Wormholes, figuring out just how such a phenomena can even occur, and creating a system that has the potential of not only detecting the wormholes, but hopefully someday, predict them as well, for the sake of the safety of people and pokemon alike.
He is also known for his controversial views on the search for the origins of the creation trio, as his ultimate goal, and the goal of his research team is to someday be able to meet the pokemon responsible for creating space, time, and everything that there is now in the present day, and unlock the secrets of the universe. He works for the Pearl Research Facility, named quite fittingly for the pearls of the legendary pokemon and god of space, Palkia. The research company is not "evil" in any way, only controversial due to their decision to continue pursuing their goal, even after what had happened with Team Galactic and their goal to use the pokemon to destroy the universe, rather than study the secrets of the universe. Many people against the company fear that the same thing will happen, while both the CEO and many advocates try to reassure the public that such an awful thing would never happen under their watch.
As a child, Nash was born as a girl, was quiet and reserved, picked on for dressing like a boy and spending his time alone in the woods all day long, and never quite getting along with anyone in school. When he was away in the forests outside of his town, however, he was actually befriending and caring for a family of Beheeyem and Elgyem that had crash landed in Unova. The pokemon were like his second family as a child, and when he was finally old enough to become a trainer, he passed on the offered starter pokemon from the lab, going straight to the woods and instead taking one of his closest friends, an orphaned Elgyem, with him for his lifelong journey of being a trainer. There was chaos that day when Nash returned home with a literal alien in his arms.
In middle school, Nash had become somewhat more social and even managed to make a group of close friends, one of which gave him his second pokemon, a Magnemite at the time, before moving away to Hoenn. He still has that pokemon, though now they are a rather powerful Magnezone, which he uses to help get around sometimes via riding on their back. In high school he went on a summer journey to catch Lunatone and Solrock for an AP science class. When he returned home after a summer alone to gather his thoughts and think of who he was, Nash was kicked out, as he had tried to come out to his parents about being transgender, and neither of them took the news well. Nash finished high school as a valedictorian, however, despite the difficulties of constantly moving between friends' houses and group homes.
After high school, Nash went straight to college to study Astronomy and Xenology, even going so far as moving to Sinnoh to attend courses. His first year, he caught a Staryu to study the radio waves the strange pokemon emits, and has kept them since then. Over a two decades later he finished college with a PhD in Astronomy, a Master's degree in Xenology, Physics, and Biology, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Mathematics. He was immediately hired for a job at Pearl Research, and has worked with them for just over three years now. His latest pokemon, Minior, was caught in Alola after he found them crashed and without a shell. Being the sap he is for pokemon, he saved them and has kept them since then.
Cleffa is not a team pokemon, but is instead a seventh pokemon he carries with him for emotional support services and research purposes. To him, she is like his own child, and he would give his life just to protect Cleffa from any harm. He has had Cleffa for four years, and raised her from an egg. She was a gift from his college professor, as they received the egg, and didn't have time to care for it, so they instead gave the egg to Nash, which he hatched himself, and has raised Cleffa since then. Both Cleffa and Beheeyem are registered service pokemon, the only difference being Beheeyem is also used for battle. Outside of battle, however, Nash will walk with Cleffa in one arm, and Beheeyem holding his free hand, their purpose being essentially making sure he doesn't zone out and end up walking directly into oncoming traffic or other obstacles, such as poles or people.
He's also been nearly hit by cars too many times for his own good because of this.
