Born the fifth child of the King's brother, Gwendolyn grew up in Uzgal's royal court. With so many older siblings Gwendolyn had a fair amount of freedom in choosing her own path. In the five years between her 8th and 13th name days Gwendolyn trained to be a Dragon Tamer. Having been able to speak their tongue from birth Gwendolyn excelled in taming Dragons. In the few years she took on the task Gwendolyn became one of the most talented and well know Dragon Tamers in Uzgal.

At the start of the war Gwendolyn decided she wanted to do something more important with her life. Deciding she wanted to fight in the war, Gwendolyn went to her father for approval and after some convincing he reluctantly allowed her to start training as a mage. Though she showed potential in the beginning of her training, being able to summon blue fire, a feat rare even in the royal family, she was unable to control it and collapsed shortly after, revealing her to have very little magic capacity.

After her failure to become a mage Gwendolyn decided to become a warrior. At first, her father was against idea, having already lost one of his sons to the war. By the end of the first year of the war Gwendolyn had finally convinced her father to let her train, though he still refused to allow her into combat. Her uncle, wanting her to learn from the best, chose one of his King's Guard to train her to become a warrior. After three years of intense training Gwendolyn had excelled in all of her studies and had become one of the most skilled fighters in Uzgal's capital.

After displaying her skills to her father and making an oath to come back unharmed Gwendolyn's father gave her his blessing she left the capital to fight in the war. It being the 5th year of the war Gwendolyn had missed much while training but she quickly made up for it. Leading both dragons and humans Gwendolyn helped win more than a few battles for her country. After winning so many battles without ever getting injured and with less casualties than normal Gwendolyn came to be known as the Dragon of Uzgal.

Once the war ended Gwendolyn's Uncle gave her control over his King's Guard and made her one of his advisers, a position of great honor. As such, when the seal broke and the time came for the King to send someone to help to Thahill's General he chose his niece, trusting her to handle the situation the wisest.

As a gentle breeze blew across the grassy hillside the clouds covering the sky parted, moonlight shining down on the white dragoness and her rider as she dismounted. Pressing a hand to the majestic creature's snout, Gwendolyn wrapped her free arm around it's neck in a loving embrace. Pressing her cheek against white scales Gwendolyn let out a soft sigh. "I will miss you so much Nyata but this is something I must do. I swear on my Dragon speech that I will call for help if it is needed." As if satisfied the dragoness nodded and pressed it's snout to Gwendolyn's face before turning and lifting itself to the sky with three flaps of it's wings.

Looking around Gwendolyn recognized the path that would lead her to the edge of Uzgal's land, where she knew her sturdiest horse and supplies waited for her a the inn they had been delivered to 3 days ago. It had taken two days to decide who would be entrusted on the mission and three more to convince her father to let her go, nevertheless she had made it and in speculation she grudgingly admitted that she hadn't lost much time.

About an hour later Gwendolyn reached the inn and immediatly gathered her supplies and left on horseback soon after. Her stallion, Night, was a large being, almost large enough to be considered a war horse, and had a pitch black coat covered in white specks like stars in the sky. As she rode off Gwendolyn only looked back once before truly leaving her country and heading off in the directing she had heard rumors of the General being in. Though the rumors had come from bounty hunters the information had been trusted due to the sum of money paid for it and the threat of death if they lied. Now, Gwendolyn rode fullspeed towards her mission and the Thahill General.
