Introduction
But there's something odd about these Hunger Games. No one remembers them. The Capitol hid them from sight. And the tributes disappeared. What happened that year to make the Capitol so desperate for the citizens to forget. And what happened to the tributes involved?
Let the 51st Hunger Games begin! And may the odds be ever in your favor.

"Well, I guess I'm up," he announced, his usual smile locked in place, "Raziel Dark, District Two. It's great to see so many enthusiastic Tributes in this yearβs games and I am truly looking forward to getting to know everyone better."
'While I calmly plot your murders,' He thought cheerfully, 'Or listen to Bunny if she's willing to share.'
"Your turn Bunny," he mumbled, 'Let's see how you play it.'
______________________________________________________
Nicholas allowed his expression to roam, keeping to the idea of just being himself, but most of these people seemed to not want to share much, which was respected. Most of y'all are gunna die anyway, you should be sharing your wildest secrets, he thought, subconsciously moving his gaze to Amabelle. She looked beautiful, absolutely stunning. Everything she had done, she had done right, perfectly right, actually.
Bunny continued to smile a moment longer, then she took her seat, folding the skirt of her dress neatly beneath her as she did.
"Gemstone Roseling," He announced with a slight smile, "District 1. Personally I think my name is pretty interesting in itself but, my interesting fact, most people just call me Gem. It's a pleasure to see so many pretty faces." The last part was obviously aimed at the girls, but he was also using it to cover that if people back home called him anything but Gem it tended to end badly for them. On the plus side he wasn't last. Spark was, unlucky but sitting next to each other was good, it meant the impact of their odd names would be slightly diminished.
"Hi," He offered uncertainly, "I'm Spark Nix, District 3. My interesting fact? Um, the boy I volunteered for was the brother of one of my friends." Yeah, that seemed like the easiest answer. Talking about the toys was probably more information about his district than was necessary, and telling them he dismantled most of the things in his room would give away his strongest asset. Hopefully it wouldn't cause to much trouble for Winery and Alphonse.
She's been sitting silently observing her fellow tributes. Some pairs seemed to be whispering intently to each other, others treated their partners with a constant wariness. She could see in the set of of ones jaw their displeasure at some event. The dark twinkle in the eyes of others gave her chills.
Clare smiled as she listened to the end of 'Spark Nix, District 3''s introduction before slowly standing for her own.
"Hey, I'm Clare Solis, District 9. Interesting fact? How 'bout a thought? I don't which is worst the fact that I'll probably have to kill a child, or the fact that, with only a couple of weeks to go before I become an 'adult', I may be killed by one of those children." She gave a chargrinnned smile and avoided looking at the district 2 girl, instead giving a sympathetic smile at the older tributes, like those from 6 and 10, before sitting down again.
To Amabelle, the dinner was going by slowly. Every comment she made toward someone, when she did say anything, was dragged out as if she were pushing through molasses. Amabelle waited, long, until the cameras and the Capitol woman left. She ran her hand through her curly hair and pulled a marker from where it had been tucked in her belt. This was it. She had to do something about this while she had them all together. This was probably the only moment that the tributes would have
After a few moments, she cleared her throat, asking the attention of everyone in the room. She rested one elbow on the table casually, and waited until every eye was on her. Her palms started sweating, and in a panic she almost backed out, but instead she just cleared her throat again.
"Anybody good with technology?" she asked, and looked toward the tributes of the Technology District. She held up her napkin for them to see, her handwriting clear and bold:
I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. I WANT TO KNOW IF THE ROOM IS BUGGED.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spark had been hesitant in offering his help. Who knows what she wanted to say? And not wanting the room bagged could go either way. Eventually though his curiosity got the better of him and he pulled his napkin towards himself. He was actually very aware that the room was bugged, having recognised the signs from his own room where heβd had to force himself not to start playing with the wires. Still, it was a brave move, the room could just as easily have cameras in it. He was doubtful of that.
"I'm ok with it," he offered in a sceptical tone, hold up his own napkin:
IF IT IS BUGGED WHAT DO WANT TO DO?
She gave them all a smile, before leaning over her own napkin again. In bold, curved handwriting she lifted it back up to him.
GET RID OF THEM. OR, IF THERE ARE TOO MANY, I WANT US ALL TO MEET TOGETHER WHERE THE CAPITOL CAN'T HEAR US.
She leaned over her napkin as she flipped it over before holding it up one more time.
HEAR ME OUT. ALL I'M ASKING.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joseph, this entire time, was watching his District partner with a bemused expression. So it was true, what a firecracker she was. She had some balls, too, doing something like this where it was so dangerous. He smiled though. He was down to meet. So that everyone could see him, he nodded firmly, his hair bouncing around his chin and ears as he made his nod very obvious.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spark looked around the room, until he noticed the last thing he needed. It was similarly rigged to the way his carriage was, though he hadn't actually attempted this in there. Scribbling on his napkin he passed it to Diana to hold up for him, already moving out of his chair.
I can do that, but make conversation or something. Background noise is important.
Spark moved over to the wall and began running his fingers over it, oblivious to any attention he was getting.

"Well, those introductions were fun weren't they?" He offered with a small laugh, following the instruction on Spark's napkin.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ian watched uncertainly as the pair traded messages, Spark and Amabelle. He wanted to be sure he remembered everyoneβs names. Looking towards Bridget, he raised an eyebrow to inquire about her opinion on the situation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raziel watched uncertainly, he could see both good and bad from this situation. He remained silent though, merely watching the other tributes curiously. He smirked at everyone's antics.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Look," Amabelle said when the awkward silence got to be too much for her. She frowned, and leaned forward, forearms on the table. "We all plan on killing each other in about a week anyways," she said, voice grim, "So why don't we just forget about that and have a decent conversation? And then tomorrow we can go back to hating and ignoring and plotting against each other, alright? Sounds good to me." she leaned back in her seat and took a sip of the punch in front of her. She had never had punch, and it tasted delightful. She made a quick glance at Nicholas before continuing, "I don't remember anyone's names, but hi again. I'm Amabelle, from District 12."
She gave the best smile she could, although inside she despised most every single person in this room. It wasn't fair and she knew it, but there was some kind of resentment inside her toward anyone involved in the games, including those who were not immediately figuring out how to tell the Capitol to fuck off, like she was doing.
Immediately, Amabelle glanced over at Spark, keeping one eye on him, and waited for him to finish as she began putting her speech together in her head, and letting the others continue the conversation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Joseph Arkton." Joseph said, when Amabelle went silent. "So I've never seen the President face to face before. I wonder if he's any different than he is on television."

"I'd imagine not," she agreed, "Now, going with Amabelle's idea what's everyone looking forward to most in the Capitol? Personally I think I'm going to like the food. Speaking of." She began loading food onto her plate, being far louder than necessary as she did so but not enough to block out conversation.
This wasn't good. They were planning things, they weren't meant to planning things. What half-brained capitol twit had had the smarts to place all the tributes together alone before the games.
Getting agitated she put the knife firmly back on the table.
If there were bugs there was one way to check for sure. She smiled imagining it.
You know Raziel, I think between us, with these steak knives, we could do some damage before we even reach the arena. And just like that there'd be some smiling Capital lady swooping into the room with some excuse about why she suddenly felt the need to collect up and count all the knives.
As for cameras, well if there were some then the Capitols reps already knew, right? So either they hadn't come in here to halt the napkin messaging because there were no cameras. Or it was a trap.
She contemplated how cunning these Capitol lot were and was beginning to think that they'd probably just decided that audio bugs were sufficient. Fools.
But to be sure... she could have a knife at someone's throat in a moment, a hand over their mouth and if no one made a sound... The capitol would want to keep them alive until they were in the arena; if they didn't come into pull her off the lucky subject of her attention, then it was likely there were no cameras. Unless they truly had more nerves than she was giving them credit for.
Ugh! Bunny rubbed her temples. She's been trained to outsmart tributes not a vague government body with unlimited resources. She been trained to fight kids not the capitol. But she wasn't fighting the capitol, was she?
Even if these upstarts pulled this off there was no going back. If they avoided the arena they'd never be allowed peace in their own districts. It it'd be a careful staged life battling knife-edge politics or a life on the run. No one would return home a victor. Would she miss anyone.
Bunny dismissed the thought and reached for a meat fork, filling her plate while pointedly ignoring the plotting that was going on.
When it all hit the fan, she would not being going down for this. Whether there plots worked or not. Either way, when the dust settled, she would be among those standing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clare smiled to herself as the exchange took place. Conversation started up and she chuckled at the camera comment. Following their example she took up a bread roll tearing small pieces off. It seemed weird to think that she'd probably helped harvest the wheat that this bread was made from, and yet it was of a completely different different quality to that baked in her own district. Not technically better, just, different. But bread was bread and she nibbled at it, finding that she had more of an appetite than she'd originally thought.
"I think it'll be interesting to see the lights. Apparently there's so many of them burning all the time that you can't even see the stars at night."

Spark opened the small panel in the wall, quickly pushing his fork in where the latch had been to stop the alarms going off. He gave a sigh of relief when it worked, it worked back home but things here were generally slightly more complicated.
'So, red wire, or blue wire,' he thought sarcastically, seeing the excessive mass of wires hidden in the wall. He stood a fiddled with it for a while before moving swiftly unplugging one wire to plug it in somewhere else. No alarms. Excellent. Wanting to be sure he'd done it right he moved over to where he knew one of the little voice bugs were, a bit more fiddling. He heard the very quiet sounds of people eating, but not talking. 'Wow,' he thought, realising he'd cancelled voice recognition, 'I just wanted to turn them off. Oh, well, it still works.'
Changing the setting on the bug back to normal he worked past the panel, collecting his fork and shutting the door. Then he came back to the table and took his seat between Diana and Gem.
"I'm done," He announced, filling his own plate, "They can't hear us talking."
"They can't hear us talking at all?" she asked, just trying to make sure. She sighed and put down her spoon, and began to collect themselves.
"What I'm about to tell you could get us all killed," she said, "will get every single one of us killed if the Capitol finds out. So even if you're not with me," she cast a dark glance at the Careers. She knew they were going to be the most difficult to convince, "you're still going to die if you know anything about it. You think the Capitol will let anyone live who knows anything? So if you're wanting to leave, so you can not know anything... now would be the time." She pulled a small glass bottle from her pocket.
"My mother made this." she said and held it up. It glowed blue a little bit, "It's a forgetting serum, of sorts. This one, my brother gave me, for this. If you drink just a couple drops, you'll forget I'm saying anything right now, and you can go."
She watched the others for a long time, waiting for them to respond to her.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joseph sat at the eerily silent table for a long time, and ran his hand through his hair. He stared at his food, and thought hard.
On one hand, he could drink the serum, and forget she ever said anything, move on with the games as if he knew nothing. He could try his best to win; he had a good chance. He could go home and see his family again. Live in those big houses. Eat all the food he ever wanted. His eyes moved across the table, at each person until they fell on Diana. She would survive, if they kept going like nothing happened. And in the end, it would be their alliance group. He'd have to kill her.... he thought for a long time.
He couldn't do that.
"I'm in. I'm not going anywhere."

"I'm in too," She announced, hardly hesitating at all. If she faced reality she was going to die anyway, she'd manage in the arena for a while, but she doubted she'd be the one to come out alive. Plus, she didn't want Jace to have to watch her die, or her father. If this went belly up it sounded more like something the Capitol would try to deal with quietly.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, I think I already signed myself up," Spark said, receiving a calming smile from Diana, though she looked slightly out of it. If there was a chance of survival, he was in. He wasn't about resign himself to death. In his pocket his hand wrapped around the last thing his father had given him, he was never without it. He looked over the table, watching people mull over the decision.

Ian watched as tribute after tribute signed themselves up for a very dangerous sounding task, but focused on Gem. βDon't have much to loseβ, that basically summed up his whole situation back home, but now... His eyes darted to Bridget They'd become friends right? That meant now he had something to lose, and he would if they went into the arena, because only one person could come out.
"I'm in," He said clearly, but without any explanation.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raziel still hadn't spoken up, carefully thinking everything through. He had a very high chance of surviving in the arena, he wasn't sure of his chances with this new situation. Then again, this definitely seemed to have support, and there would be a fair bit of action.
"Well, this seems to be where the excitements at," He said, his usual smirk plastered in place, "I guess you can count me in."
_________________________________________________________________________
Nicholas watched Amabelle speak. Wow, she was powerful. Everyone seemed to like her idea, agreeing, and he nodded his head, grinning. This was awesome, and he was sure nothing like this had ever happened in the hunger games, and the victor would either be a focus of much positive attention, or would somehow 'disappear'. Yikes.
She lent forward slightly eager to hear what Amabelle had to say. Her mind reeled with the possibilities
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bottle of blue liquid shimmered in Amabelle's hand. Tributes around the table began declaring their alliances.
Bunny took a drink of water with the hopes of easing her headache and delaying her response a moment longer. This was madness. Like she could talk. But she could see herself quickly being outnumbered in this decision and the forgetting serum felt like a vulnerability to her, ignorance was almost always a weakness.
And then there was Raziel. How he nonchalantly joined the conspirators. For the excitement? Surely he must have other motives. She enjoyed a bit of danger as much as anyone, but it usually involved a skilled opponent and a deadly weapon, nothing like this. But he was as much as an ally as she'd ever considered having in the games.
She set the empty glass on the table, watching a bead of condensation drip down the side rather than looking at the other tributes.
"I'm not going anywhere either."
She stabbed her silver fork into a piece of food and put it in her mouth. Despite the drink of water her mouth felt dry and the meat now seemed tasteless. Her gaze flickered to the other tributes and she put more food onto her fork.

That's perfectly fine.
Sorry I haven't been around, y'all. I've been busy with Easter and then school. I have more free time though now. So yeah. :) After the District Dinner it'll move onto the Training Center really quickly, we'll do the interviews, and then right into the arena. We'll try to get through them all quickly so that we can get to the most exciting stuff. :)

If there's no character who has already taken District 6, it's all yours. :) Just check the characters and remember to put the District in the description under the name so people can see easily who you're playing. If you want to double up on characters, that's fine as well.

Thanks so much. :)
The Capitol is the reason, yes. It's going to kind of unravel as we go along. I don't want to give it all away and then kind of have people just kind of following a story they already know everything about, if that makes sense.
If it's killing you,, or anyone else, shoot me a PM and I'll let you in. :P

About the twist - does that mean are own characters can't remember that the Hunger Gmaes exsisted - or just that they don'tremember what happened in the 50th? :)
It's that our characters disappeared, and no one in Panem remembers that year of the games.

Also, briefly. What goes on individually in the Districts and perhaps on the train are going to be more just glanced over. The course of a few long posts at most. Once they get to the training center and the interviews we're going to have more interaction and whatnot. So yeah, we'll go through it all.

Yeah. I wanted to make one on the HG a while ago, but no one knew what they were, so it died.
You can make as many characters as you want, as long as you can keep up with all of them with legit postings.
And yeah that's fine. I prefer realistic pictures, but if you want anime, that's fine.
