If there was anyone as stubborn and headstrong, it would be Ayla. She doesn't concede to people easily, and is in fact very reluctant to accept advice from anyone other than her brother, Aram. She is forward in her approach to things, never once keeping anything back, however; that isn't to say she'll blurt out just anything. She does know her manners but usually she does not display them to people unless they have earned her respect. And that in itself is a very hard thing to do. She doesn't respect people often, but the ones that have earned it usually are more docile creatures themselves. She is quite literally the opposite of Aram, really. Where he is calm and gentle, she is out-spoken and harsh. She doesn't believe in titles, ranks, or any sort of authority figures.

They mean little to nothing to her and should someone try and use that against her, that persona may as well be dead or finding a way to appease her anger. She doesn't believe herself to be superior than others, however; she does know that she is quite powerful in her own right and has every right to assert her dominance should someone try and be foolish enough to dominate her. She is certainly a spirited individual. She doesn't allow things to drag her down, though she can have her moments where she'll question herself about certain things, usually consisting of what she is. These are the moments that cause her to be weak and it is something she truly loathes. Her determination for things is almost unrivaled and she'll often do everything with her all. She doesn't like doing things half-assed, and can often become annoyed with people who do so. Her spirit often correlates with her courage.

She has a brave heart, and will often stand up for what she believes in, without hesitance, however; courage is not courage without fear. There are not a lot of things Ayla fears, but she isn't stupid enough to believe herself fearless. Everyone fears something; it is only a matter of how they deal with that fear that makes them courageous at heart. She is very resilient and stalwart of heart, and she tries to deal with adversity and change as best as she can. She may be headstrong and spirited, but she also has her moments of being abrasive, and rather insensitive to other people's feelings. She'll often say things how they are, regardless of how it makes other people feel. She can be a little blunt this way, though she believes it helps people grow a backbone. If they cannot handle the truth for what it is, it is not her fault they are sensitive to the truth she speaks.

This, might label her a hypocrite in some areas. There are moments where she can be a gentle heart, tending to those who seemingly need it. This often clashes with most of her persona as it will often come out in her more-so than her other traits. She isn't sure why that is, and she hates herself for it. Part of her wants to maul and destroy, while the other part of her wants to nurture and care, just as her brother does and how she was created.

Ayla was the last of the three children borne by the unknown entity to help quell the violence and chaos in the world. Like her brothers before her, she believed her purpose was to help quell the oni from the land, to give the humans a chance to prosper, however; unlike her brothers, Ayla was borne a creature entirely different. She was born a creature of the moon, and when she shifted, it was to mimic a creature not like the oni.

She was a wolf.

And like the beast she was, she was as chaotic and uncontrollable as the oni. Of course, the only ones capable of bringing her back were her two brothers. They were all they had, and she was, perhaps, closer to them than they were to each other. They grounded her, and she loved them. Once the war was won, and they disappeared from the earth, Ayla found herself enjoying the life of a nomad. They belonged to no land, no lord, and they were free. And she enjoyed that freedom. She enjoyed being around her brothers, no care in the world, however; something never seemed quite right for her. She longed for something; something she couldn't quite explain, but she knew the feeling grew every time she was near Amon, her eldest brother. They were not blood siblings, only siblings through warfare and their creation, however; that alone did not quell the feelings.

It was too late to realize that she was in love with Amon. Somewhere along the way, she fell in love with him. She tried her best to conceal her feelings, but she could not deny the way she was softer around him. How she was more of a woman than she'd ever felt like. It wasn't, however, meant to last. He left her and Aram. Where he went, he did not say, however; she resented him for it. How could he leave them when they were all each other had? Almost a century later, she found out he had settled down with another woman, and even had a kid. She visited him, once, just to see what about this woman had caught Amon's eye.

She found nothing.

Heartbroken, she left him and Aram, setting out in the world to find herself. She took various jobs where she could. In the time and age, it was difficult for her, being a woman and all, but she'd managed to make a decent name for herself. Because of her prowess on the battle field, she was approached with multiple offers of marriage. Some from high ranking generals, and even from a Daimyo himself, however; she declined them all. She wasn't exactly the type to accept such offers, and she had one problem: her beast. These were mere humans who offered her marriage, and she would not be responsible for their deaths.

Instead, she returned to Aram's side when she found solitary to be unbearable. The two of them are currently situated in a small village under the impression of trying to find their place in the world, however; Ayla cannot help but feel that there is more than what her brother is telling her, but she will not press the matter...

for now.

Out of the three, Aram was the most calm. He never allowed things to hinder him or pester him, remaining firm and serene. At first glance, he appears stoic and unreachable, something to not touch nor disturb, however; this is just how he carries himself. He is a calm person, and does not waiver even under the heaviest of pressures. He is able to keep his cool and doesn't allow things to sway him fairly easily. As such, he is able to make decisions with a clear and level mind. He is as firm as an oak tree during a hurricane storm and is about as strong as one. Having to deal with his sister's antics, one would have to be. If something were to ever set him off, it would have to be something very dangerous, and something that is threatening those he cares about. He doesn't take kindly to people or things threatening what is his to protect and he has been known to become a little... not himself. Patience is something that does not come easily to most people, and it is uncertain whether or not people are even capable of being patient.

Aram has lived a very long time, enduring hardships and pain beyond anyone has ever felt, and he has done so with his sister, Ayla. Because of these endurance's, he is capable of patience that would put even the most saint-like priest to shame. His patience knows no bounds, and nothing really tends to bother him. He takes things in a steady stride, able to just listen and assess what needs to be done. He pays attention to details, something that has attributed to his patience. People are often too much of in a hurry to allow themselves to see everything, and Aram does. He is also a very sincere person, never lying to anyone about anything, however; he is a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to things like that. He'll tell someone what they want to hear, the good parts of their future, however; he will refrain from telling them the bad parts. If they knew, they would only endanger themselves and everyone around them. His sincerity ties in with his honesty.

An honest man, he will never tell a lie and will always say what he genuinely feels. He doesn't believe in hiding his emotions from others, nor what he believes he knows about them, because he knows them in such an intimate manner, that there are times where he wishes he did not have his gift. It is hard, and sometimes a little unbearable to stare at someone and know that their life will end soon. He sees it all the time in Ayla's future, and that frightens him the most. Regardless, he is a kind soul, gentle at heart, and always thinking of the others best interests at heart. He doesn't believe the future can be changed, and can only keep heading into the dark future.

No one can dissuade him from this belief because he has witnessed first hand just how terrible change can be. Aram, in all, is just someone who wishes to not have his gift, but tries his hardest to not let the others see this part of him. He'd rather them see the calm, enigmatic person he appears to be. He isn't too sure how they'd react if they knew his true self. He's not even sure.

Aram was the second of three children, borne by an unknown entity to help quell the violence and chaos in the world. At least, this is what Aram believed to be true. For countless years, he and his siblings battled the oni, demons that prayed upon the humans. Their war ravaged the land, doing more harm than good until finally, it ended. Aram and his siblings managed to quell the darkness that plagued the land, and they'd brought peace to it. With no war to fight, and no enemy to vanquish, Aram thought the job complete, and he and his siblings disappeared for a time. For a few centuries, they'd traveled together, roaming the land and doing different things.

Aram made a small name for himself as a healer, of sorts. A doctor in some places, and it was something he enjoyed. He was helping people, curing their ailments if they could be, however; he was also known as the Seer to some people. He used his gift to tell fortunes for people, but he never said anything about their futures if they were dark. He believed that they would attempt to change their fate, and that was something he couldn't have. He'd seen too many attempts to change fate end badly, that he could not bring himself to do it again. So he resigned himself to telling the truth, albeit obscured. He would never lie; it was something he'd been unable to do for a while.

But the truth could always be altered. He did this for some years until something happened. Their family, the small group of them, broke. Amon had decided to leave. He never gave a specific reason, however; it was apparent that he needed to. Aram, though saddened, was not as deeply affected as Ayla was. He could not console his sister from Amon's departure, and he'd felt useless. In time, though, even the two of them separated. He was, for the first time in his life, alone. He did not know how to handle that, and so he wandered the land. He took small jobs here and there, as a doctor, but never the job of a hired mercenary. He would not do that.

Even though he'd spent a majority of his life fighting, Aram disliked it. He did not like the power of holding someone's life in his hands, and he would never get used to the idea of hurting something, or someone. He was gentler than his siblings, and he'd perceived it as a weakness for some time.

Eventually, Aram had a vision that had startled him. He wasn't entirely sure what it meant, only that it was a future that he could not prevent. It had started out small, at first, glimpses of things and people he did not know. Gradually, it had shifted to something clearer, of faces he recognized, but could not name. All he knew, though, was that this future was one that would come, and he could do nothing about it. He eventually reunited with Ayla, though he did not tell her precisely of what his vision contained. He did not want her to leave him, again, and so they both traveled to Shimamaki. It was a village he knew only briefly, and it was here that his vision had led him.

He has taken a job in the village as a small doctor, and Ayla managed to open her own restaurant. For now, they remain newcomers to the village, though there is something that is bothering him. He cannot put a name to it, but he knows that he does not like whatever it is...

not one bit.

⌈APPEARANCEβŒ‹
Eryk's hair is extremely dark, seemingly void of any color other than the obsidian. It resembles ink in its purest form, void of the blues and violets and the occasional teals. Despite the appearance, his hair is about as soft as it can get. He's never truly cared for maintaining it, and it shows. His hair is short, grazing the back of his neck in odd layers. It's almost as if a child cut his hair, and it wouldn't be entirely wrong. He cuts it himself, and doesn't seem to do much with it. It just falls in place, or on occasion, spiked back.

There are two colors that define Eryk's eyes: carmine brown or ruby red. The dominant color often is the ruby red, appearing more like blood soaked rubies. There are highlights of a soft orange passing through, giving them just enough contrast that his eyes appear to be like fire itself, blazing fiercely with no intentions of being put out. There is a certain kind of pull to his eyes, something fierce. Some have noted his gaze to be intense, piercing as if he could see right through a person's soul. There is, however, a strange sense of reproach to them, as if he's always disappointed with something. There is no doubt, though, that his eyes portray a sense of focused power.

Eryk is covered in scars. Being one of the heads of the organization, he has had to do a few things, some that he isn't proud of, and those regrets are painted on his body. Most of them, however, are the result of an incident that happened almost a decade ago. He doesn't speak of it. Though he may be covered in them, the only scars visible are the ones on his face. The most prominent one is the one that goes in a vertical slash from his left temple to corner of his bottom lip. There is another one along his forehead, going in a similar manner, however; his bangs mostly cover that one. He is a little conscious of his scars, but one would never be able to tell.

Eryk is a man who stands out, and perhaps not in such a good way. He is tall, his demeanor intimidating, and his face seemingly always in a scowl. His jaw is set and pressed, as if he's a coiled spring ready to snap at any given moment. His body language is tense, and it is seen in the way his muscles move when he moves. Being one of the top Executives in Team Rocket, and part of the Koga clan, has gifted Eryk with corded muscle, enough so to give definition to his willow frame. Most of the definition of the muscle is located in his upper body, giving him a great deal of upper body strength that he uses to his advantage, though his lower strength is nothing to underestimate, either. His legs are as strong as any, and he has been known to train with his own pokΓ©mon to keep up this strength.

⌈AMOROUS VIEWβŒ‹
For one who runs a majority of the organization, especially The Three, Eryk really doesn't have time for relationships. The only thing resembling a relationship is that between Kasimir, Cyrilla, and himself. They are friends; nothing more. That, however, isn't to say that he is completely emotionless. Eryk is capable of feeling things just as anyone else is, however; he is also capable of prioritizing. And a relationship isn't a high priority. Most find it odd, though, that he is capable of caring about other people than himself, which makes for a rather conflicted relationship, anyway. When he cares about something, it is deep, and it is passionate. He gives his all, and that is saying something considering his dedication to The Cause.

⌈EXPERTISEβŒ‹
Martial Arts ∞ Eryk is a great trainer, and considered an undisputed champion within Team Rocket ranks, however; most of his Pokémon learned to battle because of him. He learned, from a young age, to learn how to fight. Hand-to-hand feels more natural to him, and is one of the only ways he will fight someone. He is capable of disarming an armed person, using mainly aikido and jujitsu as his main forms. He won't necessarily harm someone unless they actually deserve it.

Stealth ∞ Have you ever felt a passing wind, turned and found no one there? Have you ever felt a slight tap on your shoulder, only to find out that you are the only one in a vacant vicinity? It's almost as if you were haunted by a ghost, and Eryk is that ghost. He is capable of passing someone, make his existence unknown unless he wants to be known, and this has contributed a lot to his advancement in his career. He was often sent on espionage and spying missions, coming out the most successful because of his stealth abilities. He is capable of entering and exiting a place, without being detected, with hardly any effort at all.

Poisons Expert ∞ Being a descendant from Koga, there were a few things Eryk learned before he began his career in Team Rocket. One of those things was to learn how to properly conduct experiments. His family's reputation was built on poison, and Eryk became fascinated with it at a young age. He is capable of creating poisons that are extremely potent, almost as if he were actually a poison type himself. They are regarded with much caution, going so far as to being only handled by Eryk himself. He doesn't trust his subordinates enough to handle his own merchandise. Regardless, Eryk is a poison master, one who shouldn't be trifled with unless you want something slipped into your drink...

Telepathy ∞ Eryk is no psychic. He can't read someone's mind, nor does he have their telekinetic abilities, however; there is one thing he can do. He can communicate through telepathy, an ability thought only to belong to psychics. Perhaps he would have been a psychic, born to a psychic father, however; his abilities never fully manifested. Instead, he is only capable of communication through an established mental link.

Poison Immunity ∞ Eryk is a descendant from Koga's bloodline, being the son of Koga's daughter's daughter. In essence, Eryk is his great-grandchild. As a result of this bloodline, he is capable of putting together an array of poisons, however; he is also immune to them. Even if he were bit by a Seviper or an Arbok, their poison would have no affect on him. This was something he was born with, the immunity. He makes use of it too, especially during solo missions. He can subdue an entire room by releasing a poison bomb, leaving only him unharmed. He won't do so if he is with one of the others.

⌈QUIRKSβŒ‹
Attachments ∞ Eryk doesn't seem the type to form any sort of bond with anyone. He, from a distance, appears reserved and a bit lonely. These are choices he made. He forms bonds with people, and not just a simple friendly bond either. It runs deep, very deep where he considers the people he bonds with as family. He would do anything for them, literally, if they asked it of him, however; he knows they wouldn't. He has only formed two attachments in his entire life, and those are with Kasimir and Cyrilla. Because of the bond with them, he is a bit afraid to form anything else with anyone else.

Scar Complex ∞ By now, Eryk is used to the attention he receives for the scars on his face, however; though he will never admit it, they do tend to have a bit of a negative affect on him. He received them from his clan, and though they have somewhat of a sentimental value to him, he does not like the way people stare at him. He pretends to take pride in his scars, but in reality, he wishes he could be rid of them. Should someone mention his scars in a negative note, Eryk has been known to be a bit violent. He does not regret them, however.

Entei ∞ There are precisely two reasons as to what earned Eryk this moniker. One of those reasons was due to the fact that he, Kasimir, and Cyrilla are considered to be the strongest of the organization, and were named after the three beasts of Johto. The second reason is because people have likened his shaggy appearance to the beast. He isn't against having it as a nickname, because he sees it more as his title than something someone would call him on a daily basis. Perhaps if he were not part of the organization, he might have a different view of it, but as it stands, he doesn't.

⌈DISPOSITIONβŒ‹
Eryk has a colorful personality. He is the type to take things a little too literal, and doesn't quite understand the concepts of metaphors. Eryk doesn't seem to have a soft bone in his body, and is known to be strict, even with his friends. There are moments when he can seem apathetic, but in reality, Eryk cares a great deal more than he lets on. He was taught that everything he felt was wrong, and that he was supposed to feel a different way. As a result of that, he can be a bit conflicted with himself. He knows the things he does is wrong, but at the same time, it is for the greater good, and he can't seem to differentiate between what is truly right, and what isn't.

He isn't above asserting his authority over the lower grunts, or to those in the lower ranks when they get out of hand, though. He is forward and confident, albeit deceptively so. His confidence, as big as it might seem, is actually lower than what he lets on. He is confident in his abilities, and himself, but being confident is completely different to him in that sense, especially due to his scars. He will never admit this out loud, but anyone who stares at him for too long causes a bit of retrieving into himself. When they do stare for a prolonged time, though, Eryk's temper has been known to rise.

Some of the smallest things will set him off, and he has been known to lash out at his fellow members, whether they deserved it or not. His temper has been likened to that of a Mankey's, once started, it has to run its course before he'll settle down again. This ties in with his stubbornness and refusal to back down from something. Once Eryk has set his mind to something, there is no stopping him until he has achieved his goal, however; he isn't above reasoning. People, when talking to him, have to be direct and to the point. Otherwise, Eryk will not have a single clue as to what they are trying to say to him, and his fuse can be set off this way.

He tries his best to be more sympathetic towards people, but the moment he shows any sort of sympathy, he immediately reverts back to his solemn self. Perhaps it was the years where things like mercy and sympathy were beat out of him? These traits, however, do leak out from time to time, particularly around Kas and Cy. He doesn't understand it himself, but around them, he feels he can be more himself. It is a dangerous feeling for him because he doesn't know how to properly respond to it. For most of his life, he was taught that mercy and sympathy were weaknesses, and that those weaknesses would eventually be his downfall. Regardless, Eryk cares a great deal more than he lets on, however; he has problems expressing himself.

⌈DISPOSITIONβŒ‹
Eryk was born an only child, and the grandson of Koga, the previous Gym Leader of Fuschia City, and a former Team Rocket member himself. Most of Eryk's family enlisted into the organization simply because their leader had insisted, however; when Eryk was born, Koga saw potential in the young boy. Eryk was taught the various ways of the clan, learning to build immunity to poisons, to create poisons, and to become a shadow. He was also taught how to put himself before others, and how to neglect other people. It wasn't something Eryk was overly proud of, and often felt ashamed about. This was something that had to be beaten out of him. It was in a literal sense, too.

His family was none to gentle about Eryk's certain flaws in personality, and over time, Eryk began to adapt. Most of the scars on his body are a direct result of his defiance as a child. When he came of age, Eryk joined Team Rocket and quickly rose through the ranks, earning himself a spot as one of the top members. He is under the code name of Entei, a name given to him for being a part of the three beasts. Previously to joining the three beasts, Eryk made a name for himself as being a ruthless Rocket, even as a grunt, and often formed more enemies within the group than friends. How he became one of the top members, is probably due to this fact.

He has, since the beginning, only made two friends. One was a childhood friend, and the other, a recent friend, if he could be considered as much. Out of the entire organization, Cyrilla and Kasimir were, perhaps, the only ones who knew of Eryk's other side, the one that showed mercy and was more tolerant than usual. Over the years working for Team Rocket, Eryk had managed to surpass even his grandfather in terms of running the organization. While not the leader of the organization, he was able to pull off heists and thefts that managed to catch the eye of the current leader.

In a way, Eryk had become the second-in-command, the one the grunts, and others below him, would answer to when their leader was away. It is a position that Eryk does not want, but he cannot exactly turn it way either. There is something in him, something that stirs to make things right, however; he is unsure of how to even begin. Where does the problem even start, and separate? It is hard for him to see everything he has done as something bad, considering the organization has managed to liberate a myriad of PokΓ©mon from unfit trainers. But to be in charge of who gets them, and who doesn't? It has caused problems within the world, and with other organizations who would like to see Team Rocket put away, however; Eryk has set his mind to continuing their work. Even if he might be conflicted about it, he has decided to put the needs of the organization above his own feelings on the subject. Currently, he has been put in charge of Cyrilla and Kasimir to go scouting. Still, he can't help but feel that something is terribly wrong.

γ€Œ Eryk isn't in a good place right now. He knows that, and it all has to do with her. He never wanted her to get hurt, and he definitely never wanted her to find out that he was using her in the way she did. He wanted to tell her. So many times, he had the chance to do what was right for her, but something weighed him down. Something caused him to reel back, and some part of him thinks that he is to blame for everything that's happened to her. He truly loves her, more-so than anything, or anyone, he's ever loved before. Now, that she's gone, he doesn't know what to make of himself. He misses her, dearly, and he knows that he does not deserve her forgiveness should she decide to give it to him. He wants to do right by her somehow, but for now, he'll trust that Kas will keep his promise to keep her safe. That's all he wants for her, right now. That, and he wants her to live out her life away from him. Because he has hurt her so deeply that he doesn't trust himself with her anymore. 」

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

γ€Œ Eryk doesn't know what to make of Kas. All this time... but perhaps it is ironic and fitting that this happened. That Kas is part of the KPSF shouldn't surprise him, and it doesn't. Whatever happened between them, Eryk still sees Kas as his brother. Whatever may come there way, Kas will always be Eryk's brother. He doesn't feel betrayed by him, oddly enough, though there was the slightest hint of confusion when Kas left him the message. All he knows is that, if Kas keeps his word, Eryk won't hold it against him for betraying them. Even if he, technically, doesn't have a right to hold anything against anyone, Eryk is trusting Kas with someone that is important to him. And because of that, he will trust Kas. 」

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

γ€Œ He isn't too sure about Cyrilla's current mental state. Some days, she seems the same, and as of recently, she seems a little distant. He's worried about her, but he can't exactly tell her that. She has to do this on her own, to find out what's more important to her, however; he does want her to know that he will support her in anyway he can. Whatever she decides, he will be there for her, because she is the only person he has left right now. And he needs her to be strong. If she isn't, they both might fall too deep into people they won't recognize, and into people they'll come to hate. 」

⌈APPEARANCEβŒ‹
Cyrilla was born into the illustrous Koga clan, each of its members distinguished by their rather dark looks, however; Cyrilla was born an albino. With hair as white as virgin snow, and eyes as deep as cherry blossoms in the mid-summers day, it can be difficult to imagine the family she was born into. Infamous for their stealthy arts, and their naturally dark appearances, Cyrilla's hair shines with the luminescence of the starlight sky, burning with the bright intensity of the full moon. She recently cut her hair, though, and it falls to the nape of her neck in subtle layers. It is quite fluffy this way, but it is more manageable and it has significant meaning for her. She wanted a new start. It glows with a light hue underneath the sunlight, highlighting the slight metallic streaks that often dust it with rays of blush. Reduced to fall without binds, the shortest of her strands are severed just above her nose, falling into her amaranth colored eyes in the process.

The color deviates between amaranth, to an alizarin crimson color, retaining dark presences of ruby by her pupils. Once vibrant and warm, her eyes convey a hint of melancholy and sadness, as if they bear a great burden. Perhaps they do, with the life she's led and the things she has done. This is only highlighted by the shape, curved almond with just enough depth to them. It highlights a feigned kind of innocence for her, one that she might have had a long time ago, but the life she leads now seems to have obliterated any chance of it returning. A small spark, however, of determination seems to radiate behind the depths, allowing shallow breaths of life to seep through. There is something almost tender as well, when certain persons are present, one she will not deny.

A minuscule scar rests upon her face, the only flaw upon her skin. She received it when she was younger, and it never healed properly. It became a pale white hue, a contrast to her already porcelain pallor. It's almost as if she suffers being unable to tan, or darken in anyway. The mark, however, is a constant reminder to her of her failure, and her shortcomings in the clan. It's bad enough that, though light in appearance it may be, it stands out in a significant way. Oddly enough, despite the training and constant wear and tear on her body, her skin is fairly smooth and soft. It's almost as if she's never worked with her hands, or any other part of her body. There are other, subtle signs, however, that say otherwise.

Standing with a smaller stature than those in her family, Cyrilla manages to use it to her advantage. Being smaller and more petite, covert missions and subterfuge come easier to her than her taller companions. Despite her small appearance, her muscles and frame are a little more defined. Generously curved with enough muscle mass to keep her appearing average, she carries herself with a regal air and gait, as if everything else were beneath her. This, however, is a falsity, brought upon the need to always conceal herself and to also be confident. She does not hold herself that highly, though, nor will she ever. It is not something she wants people to misunderstand about her. It's bad enough people are intimidated by Eryk just by looking at him.

⌈AMOROUS VIEWβŒ‹
There are exactly two reasons Cyrilla joined Team Rocket. One of those reasons is a little embarrassing for her. Ever since she could remember, before her involvement with Team Rocket, Eryk used to visit the clan during his free time. During those visits, he would often bring a fellow member with him, and from the moment she first saw him, Cyrilla knew it was all over for her. It started off small, her crush, but every time Eryk would bring Kasimir along, Cyrilla would often take more and more time from her training just to be with them. Ever since joining Team Rocket, she's learned to conceal her feelings, or at least as best as she can, for good reason. She know's how he is, and it breaks her heart. She knows he'll never see her in the same light, or if he does, it'll only be in the way he sees the others. She doesn't want to be another fling, but she can't help the way she feels, either. She, honestly, hates it.

⌈EXPERTISEβŒ‹
Martial Arts ∞ Though she might not look like it, Cyrilla is quite capable of taking care of herself. She, at a young age, was taught a variety of martial arts to keep herself safe. She will often spar with Eryk, who doesn't go easy on her mind you. They may be childhood friends, but he's the reason why she's as strong as she is. She can still be over powered, but she's learned enough to be able to at least get away if things become too dangerous for her.

Smoke Bombs ∞ Everyone in Koga's clan excelled at something. For Cyrilla, she found her calling in creating smoke bombs. Her prowess at creating them bordered on prodigal, and she's put them to good use. She uses them for missions that require certain distractions, or if she needs to make a quick get away. She'll only use them if she actually needs to. Despite her ability at creating them, obtaining the materials to create them is a little more difficult than it seems. There are certain ingredients she needs, and collecting gas from a Pokémon's smokescreen is more difficult than it seems.

Poisons Expert ∞ Most of her family has dealt with nothing but poison type Pokémon and as a result, Cyrilla is adept in poisons. Not only is she capable of making antidotes, but given the right concoctions, she is capable of producing deadly poisons, more-so than even an Arbok's. She is also capable of determining what it is exactly that has poisoned a person or a Pokémon with the given symptoms. There are other forms of poison other than a Pokémon's. She is also quite skilled at putting together poisons and antidotes. She has produced a poison that is capable of passing through a person's body that will paralyze them and is also untraceable. She's only used this once and she has made it in the form of sweet jam. It lures people in with just its sweet taste. It isn't deadly, but depending on the quantity ingested, it could leave a person paralyzed for days. That is what makes it deadly. A person can only go so long without eating and drinking.

Cook ∞ Her mother couldn't cook, her father couldn't cook. No one in her family knew how to properly cook a meal, and Cyrilla took it upon herself to learn. She learned from her aunt, a chef who is renowned for most of her dishes. As a result, Cyrilla is capable of cooking just about anything anyone desires. She isn't limited and she doesn't believe in being so. Besides, she likes a variety in her own dishes and will often experiment to create new ones. No one has complained... yet.

Stealth ∞ Unlike Eryk, who is seemingly too tall to pull off proper stealth missions, Cyrilla is an efficient stealth artist. One might think her at a disadvantage with her hair coloration, however; she's managed to use it to her advantage. She is capable of passing by someone without being noticed, however; she is a bit clumsy and, depending on the situation, or how stressed she is, will make mistakes. Despite those complications, she is better at stealth missions than Eryk is regardless of his accomplishments.

⌈QUIRKSβŒ‹
Conflicted ∞ Cyrilla never wanted to be a part of Team Rocket. She never wanted to steal people's Pokémon, to cause them suffering, nor to be hated. She never imagined she'd move so far up the ranks, either. She doesn't show it, but she is conflicted about the whole ordeal. The only reason she joined Team Rocket was in the hopes of saving Eryk, and nothing more. She refuses to abandon him, however; over the course of her stay, she has seen some of the positives of Team Rocket, and it has left her at odds with herself. Still, she just wants to go home, with her best friend in tow, but it is something that is becoming a far of dream the further their career progresses.

Shy Tendencies ∞ By no means is Cyrilla a shy person, nor is she easily embarrassed about things, however; she has a tendency to be a little awkward around a certain someone. She isn't a stuttering mess, nor is she a clumsy mess, but she does become a little embarrassed, especially when certain subjects are touched upon. She does have a bit of a button that switches her, though, and she'll often become a little distant. It's almost like a defense mechanism for her and she tries her best to remain composed. She fails most of the time.

Guilt ∞ She might not appear it on the outside, and hardly anyone knows to begin with, however; Cyrilla feels guilty. About what, exactly? The scars Eryk has obtained. He has never spoken of them, and she has never revealed it, however; she is the one responsible for giving them to him. Although she didn't do it herself, exactly, those scars would have been hers to bear if he had not interfered. She never stopped blaming herself for them, though he does not blame her.

⌈DISPOSITIONβŒ‹
Cyrilla exudes a kind of warmth around her, capable of bringing people around her a sense of normality in the crazy that is Team Rocket. Odd, considering what she's apart of, however; she is the type of person to be affectionate and kind to those around her. She'll listen to the problems of the other members, acting as a sort of counselor in a sense that she's learned a lot about the people she works with. Everything remains confidential to her, and she'd never betray the trust of those who have given it to her. She'd do that with anyone, really. To say she has a warm heart in a cold place would, perhaps, be fitting.

If her goal is anything to go by, Cyrilla can be determined and headstrong in what she wants to accomplish. She would have made it to the top three a long time ago, but her nature held her back a few years. Once she's decided something, she'll do everything within her power to accomplish it, no matter how hopeless a situation might appear. She can be a little stubborn that way. Still, she won't give up on something, ever. This can cause her to be a little at odds with herself, though, considering that she doesn't like what she does. Her first mission required her to steal a person's pokΓ©mon, and though she was successful, a part of her felt like it died. She doesn't want to be the cause of someone's heartache. She is, however, very honest with people.

There are somethings she'll never admit to, like her crush on Kasimir, but despite that, she would never lie to someone unless she absolutely had to. She doesn't want to lie to people, but she doesn't want to hurt their feelings, either. She isn't like Eryk, abrasive and blunt, however; she can have her moments of irritable sensations, and though one might not think so, she can have a bit of a temper herself. It's not as terrible as his is, but it has been pointed out to be very close. Those around her do not have to worry, though, considering it takes a lot for her temper to present itself.

Despite everything, she does show genuine concern for those around her, and this is, perhaps, the reason why she has more friends within the organization than she did the clan. She is a worrywart and will often do what's in her power to make things better for someone. Some see this as an act of selflessness, but Cyrilla knows better. She is a very selfish person, but that doesn't mean she can't care for others, either. This selfishness rears its ugly head when it comes to Eryk and she will always put him first before anything else, even over her own feelings. Regardless, she has a good heart, but sometimes she forgets it's there and at times, can be easily taken advantage of.

⌈REMINISCENCEβŒ‹
Cyrilla was born the only child to the same clan as Eryk, though they are not blood related. Her parents, as were her grandparents, were part of Team Rocket, and being the only child, Cyrilla was expected to carry on that legacy. She, however, refused. For the first few years, Cyrilla spent most of her time running away from home, even going so far as to go to other cities, however; her family had an extensive network and always found her. There was a point where she actually did manage to elude them, however; they sent the one person she never expected them to.

He wasn't pleased, to say the least, when he found her, however; Eryk understood her reasons why. He had, at one point, been just like her. Instead of punishing her, as the family wanted, Eryk chose to give Cyrilla her first PokΓ©mon, a Riolu whom she named Kenshin. Because of this act, Cyrilla made it her mission in life to save Eryk. She began becoming obedient to the clan's wishes, and trained with them for several years. She was taught everything the clan had to offer, and when the time came for her to enlist into Team Rocket, she did so without a moment's hesitation.

She, unlike Eryk, had to work hard to rise through the ranks, often finding herself helping others first instead of herself, however; she eventually had to put a stop to it. She wasn't getting anywhere, and Eryk was already at the top of the organization. It seemed no matter how hard she tried, he was always too far for her to reach him. It always felt as if she were always too far behind, and she feared that she wouldn't be able to save him. It never deterred her, though, and Cyrilla began struggling to reach Eryk's level. During her time as a grunt, though, she often had to go out and steal people's PokΓ©mon, and part of her hated that.

She could see the pain behind their eyes as she took away their beloved friends, and every time she returned from a mission, she would cry. Some of the PokΓ©mon they took were with good trainers, however; the organization never really took that into consideration. Their intentions were admirable, but Cyrilla could never fully immerse herself in that world. Eventually, she could feel herself becoming numb to things.

It wasn't until she was reminded of her purpose, and who she truly was, that she broke free from that spell. To this day, Cyrilla still continues to work hard so that she can reach her dearest friend. She was currently promoted to the last spot within the Three Beasts, becoming Suicune. She has grown one step closer to her friend, but it doesn't mean it is going to be easy for her, especially with a certain someone. She has made it her mission, and if there is one thing she wants to do right, it is to bring Eryk home. She only hopes she can and only wants her friend back, the one she knew before Team Rocket

❝They are near and dear to me, my friends, and I don't know what I would do if I lose them. They are lost, and I want to find them. I want to be their light... but I fear my light is fading. How much longer can we do this, what we do? How much longer can I?❞

Eryk Nero
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

γ€Œ Cyrilla's heart bleeds for Eryk. So much so that she feels like she's dying on the inside. Mostly because of the fact that he's lost the most important person in his life. She doesn't know what to do, what to say, or even where to begin. How do you help someone recover from something like that if you're trying to do the same thing? It hurts so much to know that she's practically useless to him right now, because she cannot offer him the comfort of knowing whether or not Ana's okay. She's just there, and that hurts more than anything. 」

─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

γ€Œ What kind of person could be so cruel as to allow something like that to happen to family? A person who isn't even a person. She's a monster, and she knows it, however; part of her is glad that Ana is safe, now. She never meant for Ana to get hurt, nor involved in whatever mess that was Project Nebula. She couldn't bring herself to see Ana when they had her in the machine. She couldn't even bring herself to see her before they had put in that damn thing. But now that she's gone, now that she's safe, Cyrilla is glad. All she wants is for Ana to be happy, and to be safe. That's all she ever wanted for her sister. 」

γ€Œ Oh where to begin? Cyrilla is so lost. She doesn't understand anymore what she should do, or where she even stands. The video confused the hell out of her, but she does know that she can't do as he asked. She can't move on and forget him. She can't even pretend to try. Her life, whatever's left of it, means absolutely nothing without him. She doesn't even know if he's safe, or if he's hurt, or worse... and she doesn't want to think of that. She loves him, she'll always love him, but she just doesn't know what to do. Part of her wants to leave, to go find them and just be with them, but she can't do that. There's too much at stake if she does, and she'd never want to put him in that kind of situation. She just hopes that maybe... maybe she'll get to see him one last time. She just wants to know if he's okay, and maybe then, she'll be able to figure out where to go from there. 」

⌈Physical DescriptionβŒ‹
[ Typically, when Hanyou are born, they are often born with rather odd coloration, ranging from white hair to sakura colored irises, however; Masurao inherited no such thing. He was born with traditional dark colored hair, ranging from a dark umber brown, like the one finds in burnt wood, to an almost pitch black color. The black is often dark enough to be mistaken for a jet black, however; the brown often glitters through when he is out in the sun. His hair is often kept short, reaching down to the nape of his neck and brushing, barely, against his shoulders. His hair, however, does not always fall straight down. It seems to have a mind of its own, often staying spiked up in different directions, giving him a sort of bed head appearance. He doesn't mind it much and often leaves it to its own accord. He has tried taming it once, but his hair has a life of its own and refuses to be kept down. Some pieces of his bangs will fall into his eyes a bit, though, framing around his eyes and brushing his cheekbones.

His eyes often appear rather gentle and approaching, despite his size. They can appear friendly and often times, that is how he wishes to appear. He is a Hanyou, and he knows how they are often treated. He doesn't wish to scare anyone off, though on occasion, there will be a feral look behind them, bringing out the green of his eyes. Much like his sister, Masurao sports green eyes, however; they are a richer color than Tatsuki's. They appear a more hazel green than anything and often times it'll take on hues of gold throughout them. They do not shine as brightly, but there is something like a deep forest like appearance to them, giving them a hint of something hypnotic. This trait is only highlighted by his lashes, which surprisingly, are lighter than his natural hair color. They appear almost a golden brown, like a field of honey wheat in the mid-summer sun. His facial structure is a little more feminine than he'd like it to be.

His jaw is perhaps the only masculine part of his facial structure he has, with hints of his chin being a little stronger than the rest of his face. It balances his physique well as he has a mixture of feminine and masculinity that works for him well. Considering that Oni are not all that pleasant to look at, Masurao inherited a lot from his mother. His skin is rather soft, despite being hardened by battle, and is often the butt of his jokes. Tatsuki stated he has a woman's touch, which he's often learned to just deal with it. His frame is rather large, though not so much that he's bulky. His strength is obvious, yet hidden well enough to give off an air of delicate power, though he is nothing of the sort. His arms are corded in muscle, and are obvious enough that they appear to bulge from his arms. They are not so large that they appear to be inhuman, but large enough to display the fact that he could crush something fairly easily with no problem.

His skin is rather tanned in appearance and rather blemish free. Thanks to his Oni blood, his regenerative abilities are fairly stronger than a humans and most of his wounds and scars are often healed within a days time, depending on how severe they were. He does, however, have an odd shaped birth mark on his lower back. There is a scar along his forearm that runs from the tip of his right shoulder blade that runs down his right arm to his elbow. He received it trying to take down a rather large Oni, however; he did not count on the Oni to have a blessed item and in turn, it burned him. Regardless, his skin is a mix between a lightly olive tone to a dark peach color with hardly any flaws to it besides his scar. ]

⌈It's always been just her and me. I've never really took into consideration of having anything other than what we have. She's my sister, my friend, my companion. We share a deep connection and I've never sought anything more than that. Perhaps, one day I can find someone, settle down and have a family. Wouldn't that be nice? But I don't think I can be afforded such a luxury, with this war I mean.βŒ‹

⌈Potential InterestβŒ‹
None at the current moment: Growing up the bastard child of a human and an Oni, didn't give Masurao much concept of what love could be. He never knew who his father was, and his mother died birthing him. He was raised by his aunt and his uncle before they passed, leaving him to his own until he joined a group of mercenaries. The only love he had ever known was that of familial love, and something he passed on to his sister when she came into his life. Masurao, however, is secretly a closet romantic. He believes in love as any other person and believes that there is someone out there for him, however; he doesn't believe it is for him. He is a Hanyou, a creature that is not Oni, and yet not human either. He see's how Hanyou are treated, and doesn't think that he could be loved that way. It doesn't mean he wouldn't love anyone, he just has a hard time believing someone could love him, despite the familial love between him and Tatsuki.

⌈Skills
βŒ‹
β˜… Swordplay || From a young age, Masurao was taught to wield and hold a sword. The moment he could walk, he was given a sword to wield. As a result, Masurao is an excellent swordsman, something he has applied to his work as a mercenary. He often trains with Tatsuki from time to time, if only to keep up his skills. Living a simple life isn't as easy as it looks, and he doesn't want to get rusty should something occur and he needs to be able to fight.
β˜… Combat || Despite Swords, Masurao is proficient in combat. He can fight with either his bare hands, with weapons, or simply himself. He, himself, is built like a weapon, and as a result, is able to utilize it. He prefers fighting with his hands though, as it provides a sense of accomplishment. He likes being able to work with his hands, however; not every battle can be won that way.
β˜… Trapping || While his sister is a tracker, Masurao did most of the trapping. He can utilize just about anything to make a trap out of it, and has used a plethora of items to trap even the most large of Oni. Granted, taking the Oni's down is a little more complicated than trapping them, it gets the job done with less blood-shed. He is also capable of trapping simple things such as deer and rabbits for when he and Tatsuki traveled.
β˜… Balance || Masurao is clumsy, this is a known fact. The owner of the restaurant has given him the name Rao-Baka because of his ability to break things. That, however, does not attribute to the fact that Mao has a good center. He can keep his balance, despite his size, and is capable of staying steady should something try and knock him down. Though, being sturdy is one thing, his balance has helped him in tight situations before.

⌈AbilitiesβŒ‹
✠ Chi Augmentation || Similar to Ki, Masurao is able to manipulate his chi in ways that provide him with an extra boost in strength. Not only does it give him an added boost in his physical capabilities, he can fortify his mind with it to block some psychic attacks, however; it doesn't take much to penetrate that defense. He never properly utilized this technique that way, and mainly just uses it to amplify his physical capabilities and his speed. The only draw back, despite being half Oni, it can wear him down and put a great deal of strain on his body.
✠ Telepathy || The only thing Masurao is capable of doing is communicating to people through their minds. It's a light ability, one that he doesn't use very often unless he has to. He developed a connection with Tatsuki, which is where she got her telepathic abilities from. He is unsure of how or why that happened, however; the two use it whenever they are separated. It doesn't work long distance though, up to about fifty feet at most.
✠ Regeneration || Regeneration and healing are two different factors. Despite being half-Oni, Masurao's healing factor is not that great, however; his ability to regenerate is unprecedented. Though most people think them one and the same, it is in fact completely different. A stab wound, a slash to the side, he'd recover from that in about a few days, like an ordinary human, however; the loss of a limb, he is able to regenerate that limb with in a few minutes, an hour at most for an entire arm or leg.
✠ Transformation || All Oni have a true form, each one a little different than the other. Masurao is able to access this form, however; unlike most hanyou, his Oni form is a little...different. While gaining most of the traditional characteristics, such as the white hair and the pale skin tone, Masurao did not inherit anything else other than that. He does not sport horns when he turns into this form, and the only thing extra he gets is a boost in his physical strength. This, however, has a tendency to bring out his more Oni side, and in such cases, has lost control of it and gone Berserk.

⌈I ain't ashamed of what I can do. I ain't ashamed of the things I've done either. I am an open book, what I am, what I can do, is open for all to see. I have no secrets to hide because I know that you could never exploit them. I would rather the world know my secrets than have it find them out, because once it does, it will rob you of every ounce of sanity you possess.βŒ‹

⌈Other:βŒ‹
  • Masurao, unbeknownst to him, is in fact the son of the Oyabun, the head of the Yakuza. That, in some odd way, makes him heir to the Yakuza's, however; the Oyabun does not want a half-breed running his family. It matters very little to Rao, because even if he was offered a chance, he would not take it. He despises the Yakuza enough for the wrongs they have committed, and doesn't want any part in the gang. Regardless, that does not change the fact that he is indeed, the bastard child, and rightful heir to the Yakuza.

⌈Habits
βŒ‹
β™ˆ Day Dreaming || Masurao day-dreams, a lot. It is something he finds himself doing constantly and will often zone-out It's not that his mind blanks or anything, but the things he tends to day dream about often deal with a world where it is peaceful. Where there is no difference between human and Oni, when the world would be finally as one. It is a far-fetched dream, but one he often has.
β™ˆ Breaking Things || It...is a miracle Masurao has yet to be fired. Everything he touches, though with great care, he manages to break. Masurao is responsible for about ninety percent of all the plates in the restaurant being broken. He tries his hardest not to, but it is a constant, and a daily, habit of his. If he hasn't broken at least one plate in the day, all hell just might break loose itself.
β™ˆ Training || Besides breaking things on a daily basis, Masurao often trains after his shifts at the restaurant. He'll train either by himself, with a partner, with Tatsuki, or in some cases, with Yujin. Of course, only when the pure-blooded Oni is around. Yujin helps train Mao in controlling his Oni side, keeping him in check when he loses himself to it.

⌈LikesβŒ‹
ღ Food || Mao is a big boy. He is still, in a sense, growing, and as a result, loves to eat. He could eat just about anything and everything without getting sick. This, is perhaps, attributed to the fact that Tatsuki likes to cook, and she'll often cook large meals. Nothing ever went to waste with Mao around, and the best way to become his friend or to get him to do random chores is to bribe him with good food. Or just food in general.
ღ People || People have not always treated Mao the best, and they have certainly given him no shortage of offensive mOnikers. That, however, does not stop Mao from liking people. He doesn't blame them for doing what they do, and has come to terms with the fact that society will never accept him. As long as there are people who do, he can be alright with everything else.
ღ Playing || Besides Yujin, Masurao is the biggest kid around. He can often be found lounging about with the village children, playing small games with them and the likes, however; most villagers do not appreciate their offspring playing with a Hanyou. It doesn't bother Masurao much, and he'll often go elsewhere to play with children. On rare occasions, he has managed to persuade Tatsuki to play with him and the children as well.

⌈DislikesβŒ‹
✘ Losing || No one likes to lose, it's a simple fact of life. To know that there is someone who is stronger, and better than you, is not always a pleasant feeling, and one Masurao does not particularly like. He doesn't lose often, and if he does, it will only strive to make him train harder to achieve his wish of never losing. It might be a silly fear, but it is one that he has. He fears that if he loses, it means he is not strong enough to protect those he cares about. And he wants to always protect them.
✘ Being Alone || An irrational fear, like one has of the dark. Mao simply does not like being alone. He has always had company in one way or form, from his family, to the mercenaries, to Tatsuki and Yujin. Should he find himself in a prolonged period of time alone, he'll often have a form of panic attack. This happened to him once, and he lost control to his Oni side. He doesn't want that to happen again, however; nothing is always certain.
✘ Thunderstorms || The sound of thunder is not always pleasant to one's ears. Especially if that one happens to have heightened senses such as Mao's. The sound bothers his ears whenever there is a thunderstorm, and there have been instances where it has actually frightened him. The only one who has ever seen that side, was Tatsuki, and that was when they were younger.

⌈StrengthsβŒ‹
♦ Patience || Mao is not a saint. He does not have the patience of one, however; his patience is rivaled of such things. It takes a lot for Mao to become upset about something, and should someone try and push buttons, they will only be met with a smiling face. Mao does not like his Oni side much and does not wish for it to resurface. His patience knows no bounds, though.
♦ Half-Breed || Being a half-breed has its ups and downs. For Masurao, the plus side of being a Hanyou is the added strength and abilities he inherits. He is capable of channeling and augmenting his chi, utilizing it much how the pure-blooded Oni do. He is able to transform into an Oni form that gives him an even further advantage in strength, however; his greatest asset is perhaps his enhanced senses. He cannot smell as well as a full-blooded Oni, but it's just as strong an capable of picking up anything within a five mile radius.
♦ Focus || Masurao may not look it, but he is a sharp individual. He can keep his focus on just about anything and is able to focus on more than one thing without losing himself. He isn't the most organized individual, however; one thing he may not be good at, he makes up for in other areas. Plus, when one has chi augmentation as an ability, one most have great focus to keep from over powering one thing. It might cause something to burst.

⌈WeaknessesβŒ‹
☯ Physical Strength || Masurao is anything but weak, however; there are moments where he cannot control his own strength. He'll end up exerting too much pressure, and the result is rather...awkward. He ends up breaking things, though not on purpose, and this has given him no shortage of names. The restaurant owner where he works at has dubbed him Rao-baka because of this.
☯ Attachment || He may not look it, in fact, he might not even act it, however; Masurao gets attached to people very easily. His attachments often border line obsessiveness and he can get a little carried away with it. He becomes extremely protective of those he bonds with and will do just about anything to protect them. Anything.
☯ Half-Breed || There are downs to being a half-breed than just the pros. The cons of being a half-breed is the fact that Mao has lost himself to his Oni side on more than one occasion. He has tried learning to control it better, and so far has succeeded, but he can still feel the tug at the back of his mind to let his inner beast out. He has been tempted to do so, though he has made a promise to never lose himself like that again. He almost killed Tatsuki once, and it is something he does not wish to ever repeat.

Image

Image
⌈I might not look like much, but I can tell you this much. Judging a book, especially one that is open, really isn't a smart thing to do. You have to handle it carefully, because if you don't, it'll cut you. And trust me, nothing is worse than a paper cut. What does that have to do with me? Well...it has everything to do with me. I might not look like much, but I am more than what you think you see.βŒ‹

⌈PersonalityβŒ‹
Simple | Care-Free | Blunt | Loyal | Protective

Simple might be putting it nicely for Masurao. He isn't incompetent, however; the way he acts would say otherwise. He enjoys being the butt of the joke, even if it is at his own expense, and reality is, it makes people smile. He is willing to put himself out there to make people smile, and in return, it makes him happier. If he has to be put on the end of the stick, then he'd gladly do it just to give people a little more joy in their lives. This has caused him to be a bit care-free in his actions. Nothing really bothers him, and should someone try, he'll often just let it go and pass him by. He's been called plenty of things in his life, none of them nice, but he has learned that it isn't their fault that they have such views on creatures such as himself. The Oni have bastardized the views humans have on such things, and it is only enhanced on creatures such as himself. Hanyou are not typically well received, and if it were not for his sister, Mao might have turned out as most Hanyou do.

Despite his ways, Mao is about as blunt as a dulled knife, preferring to speak his mind than to keep it hidden. It is better for people to hear the truth than it is for them to hear lies, and Masurao has a deep belief that no one should ever be lied to. Even, if in the end someone is hurt by it, the truth is always best told rather than kept. This has lead to more people disliking him than the other way around, however; he does not let it bother him much at all. He does, however, know the difference between hurting someone's feelings and being honest, and he'll often keep some thoughts to himself. He doesn't need to further tarnish the reputation Hanyou's have already, including himself. Regardless, Mao can be extremely protective of his friends. This has proven itself on more than one occasion when he traveled with Tatsuki and Yujin. He doesn't appreciate people taking advantage of his friends, and he'll do everything in his power to keep them safe.

He lost his family, he doesn't want to lose what's left of it. Because of this protectiveness, Mao is extremely loyal to those who earn it. He is willing to do just about anything to keep his family and friends safe, even going so far as to indulge his Oni side in order to make it so. He'll go so far as to lay his life on the line if it were required of him to do so. He isn't against giving his life for someone else, as he believes no life is greater than the next, however; someone's life will always be greater than his. Regardless, Masurao is just a simple guy who doesn't mind being poked at, however; there are times when some things will escape him. All in all, he is a loyal person who can be a bit too care-free and on some occasions, a little obnoxious.

⌈Y'know, I don't think I would be here right now if it wasn't for her. She pulled me through some tough times in my life, and I owe her a lot. She told me once that it isn't how a life is molded, that determines its outcome but rather; it is how a life is forged that will determine whether or not if in the end, it was worth everything we've sacrificed. I can only aspire to be true to those words.βŒ‹

⌈HistoryβŒ‹
Masurao was born to a human mother, and an Oni father. His father was not a typical Oni, having been the leader of what is now known as the Yakuza. He never knew his father, only his mother, and that was from what the people who raised him told him about her. He learned that his mother had been a servant to a rather powerful Oni, however; they never told him just who this Oni was for fear of the boy going after him to become like him. Instead, Mao was raised by his Uncle, his mother's brother, and his wife, as their own son. He was loved for the first seven years of his life, however; his life was turned upside down the moment they came into a village. It was not a band of Oni that took his family from him. It wasn't a band of Hanyou that took them. It was a band of human renegades, thieves who wanted what very little the Toukai family could offer, and they took everything, including the lives of his uncle and aunt.

It was the first time Masurao had ever felt rage boiling inside his veins and the need to destroy something. It was also the first time he would transform into his Oni side and have his first taste of human flesh. Though he did not consume their flesh, he did not spare any mercy upon them as he tore them apart. When he woke, he had no recollection of what he had did, nor where he was. He was alone, scared and afraid of what to do. It was then he was found by a group of mercenaries, mixed of both humans and Hanyou's alike. They took him in and raised him, giving him a new life, one of fighting for money. Though most of the jobs they did were not always desirable, it was a way of life for them. They took what they could get, and in return, were given a way of life. They, perhaps, were not as noble as samurai, but when one needed to survive, one took what was given.

Masurao had learned this the hard way, though he soon adopted into it. As a young fledgling, he was taught the basics of combat, and it was here he learned to control his ability to enhance his chi and use it to make himself stronger. It was a way to ensure that not only would he be on equal par with a full-blooded Oni, but also a way to keep himself safe. Though, it would not be enough for Mao. His band of mercenaries had taken a job dealing with a particular group of Oni, and in doing so, signed their own death warrant. They did not know this particular group of Oni were part of the Yakuza, something that most people tend to avoid. The Yakuza was not a gang you trifled with unless you wanted a death sentence. And someone was stupid enough to put a bounty upon this groups head.

Mao's family thought nothing of it, and when they never returned, Mao was once again left on his own. He did not like the feeling, and wandered aimlessly for a few years, lost and not knowing what to do. It wasn't until he stumbled upon a group of Oni decimating a caravan of humans, and something in Mao snapped. It reminded him of the Oni that killed his family, of the band of thieves that killed his uncle and aunt, and Mao made an oath there and then. He would protect those who could not protect themselves. And he did. He, unknowingly, saved his first friend who would later become his sister through bond. He grew with her, teaching her what he had been taught by his family, until the time he turned twenty years old. Tatsuki was only eleven at the time, however; something happened, something he could not recall, that caused him to snap and attacked her. He isn't sure how she survived, but he has never forgiven himself for almost killing her.

She had taught him so much, despite her young age and her willingness to accept the things he did, the things he was, and in doing so, gave him a new reason to be better. Eventually, he met an Oni by the name of Yujin along his journey, and the man taught him how to better control the more berserk mode of his bloodline. Yujin traveled with them off and on, earning a place in the weird family Mao was adopting. He isn't sure how, or why, but he is glad that Yujin is back with them, even if they are currently retired mercenaries. He let Tatsuki make that call, and is trying to adapt to a civil lifestyle. It's not exactly working out for him, but he is trying his best to remain optimistic about it.

⌈Physical DescriptionβŒ‹
[ When one has known the life of a mercenary, a soldier, one forgets what proper beauty rituals do to keep a body from becoming calloused. Tatsuki is no exception to this, and in fact does not see herself as beautiful at all. She sees a young woman with platinum black hair, glistening with undertones of blue, and giving it a rather night sky appearance. At times, it'll appear almost a deep umber color, however; it is more reminiscent of the blue-black of midnight. The strands are soft, surprisingly, to the touch, though there is a hint of grainy texture due to years of cutting it herself and neglectful washing and combs. It's nothing too serious, however; if one were to run their fingers through it, it would feel like the softest silk with the occasional wear on it. She doesn't keep it long, rather, keeping it short to stay out of her way. She cannot afford to be distracted by her hair during a battle, and as such, keeps the strands cut to her shoulder blades. It is cut rather choppy. Her bangs fall into her eyes, brushing just the tip of her top lip, with the longer strands falling against her cheek down to the nape of her neck. Often times, her hair is kept in a half bun, tying the bun to the right side of her face.

Her eyes always appear warm and inviting. There is a certain air of innocence to her eyes, however; there is also a certain air of refinement. She may not be of royal blood, or trained in the ways of a Geisha, however; she is always carries herself well, and her eyes reflect it. They are a deep jade color, often taking on the appearance of emerald smothered in the earth. Shades of brown are located around her pupils, giving her eyes a more earthy appearance to them. They shine brightly, like the forest does on a mid-summer day. They are rather large and expressive, a trait only highlighted by the dark lashes that are not quite as long, barely bruising the top of her cheek bones. Her facial structure is perhaps a little more on the feminine side. Her cheekbones are not too high, and her jaw is round and smoothed to the back. She gives off the air of an innocent beauty despite her callousness.

She is, perhaps in her own way, a beauty. Her frame is curvaceous and is anything but willowy, however; she tends to cover up, and most often assume her as straight as a pencil. The only time she is ever forced to show off her figure is when she has to take over in the front of the restaurant as a waitress. She does not like it much, as it draws in attention she does not need. Her frame could be considered a developed hourglass figure at best, with subtle hints of muscle laced throughout her body. Most of it is in her legs, though one wouldn't be able to tell by the muscle definition in her legs. She gives off the air of a false strength, though. She isn't physically strong, but her appearance might say otherwise. She doesn't possess the air of exotic like most of the red-light district workers, or in some cases, the Geisha, however; she possesses the air of something delicate and fragile.

Her skin is light and fair, almost blemish free. Years of being a mercenary has seen its fair share of scars littering her body. Most of them have healed over the years, however; she does sport a rather nasty scar on the left side underneath her rib-cage. She received it during a mission she and Masurao were on. It curves from the middle of her diaphragm to the middle of her back. She also sports another wound along the side of her upper forearm that trails all the way down to her elbow. She is rather sensitive to these scars and tries her best to keep them covered. Most of her clothing is rather modest, and often times she'll wear long sleeved items to keep her arm covered, even if it's just one sleeve. ]

⌈There are some things in this life that not everyone is made for. We are not all so lucky as to find someone who will love us, cherish us for the rest of our lives. I will not lie and say it is something I am immune to. I am just like anyone else, however; what I want and what I desire are two different things. And I can assure you, I know the difference between them. Still...βŒ‹

⌈Potential InterestβŒ‹
Complicated much?: Tatsuki knows that love does not exist, and that the only reason why people marry is for social advancement. Love has nothing to do with anything, and in honesty, she is completely afraid of it. It doesn't exactly help that she is extremely shy around people either. The only people who have been in her life were Masurao and Yujin, and the love they have is reminiscent of those between siblings. Afraid she may be, but somewhere deep down, Tatsuki wouldn't mind finding something special. Race has never been an issue for her, she's traveled with an Oni and a Hanyou despite being completely human herself. Also, being the heir to the Genshu clan didn't exactly make things easier for her. She has been arranged to marry into another clan, however; she left before the marriage could go through, throwing the two clans into a state of war.

⌈Skills
βŒ‹
β˜… Cooking || Having a Hanyou and an Oni, both with relatively large appetites, for brothers, isn't exactly rainbows. Being the only one capable of cooking, Tatsuki is learned in the various dishes of her era. She can make just about anything ranging from the most bitter, savory dishes, to the more gourmet style fit for a king, or in this case Emperor. She often cooks more than what is needed, but Yujin and Masurao have larger appetites than most people, so she doesn't usually mind.
β˜… Tracking || When one lives out in the country, as a mercenary, one cannot afford the luxury of stopping and resting at inn's to refuel. Tatsuki learned to track things so that she could hunt for her family's meal, and has learned to apply this to her mercenary work as well. She is capable of tracking her enemies, even if they manage to cover their tracks. There are other things that they do not think of, things that most people miss, that Tatsuki has learned to look for.
β˜… Pressure Points || She learned the anatomy of the body when she was learning various things from her clan. As such, she is capable of hitting certain pressure points within the body that will often paralyze certain limbs, rendering them useless. This is something that took her a few years to master, and she is still in the process of learning. Also, she makes a good masseuse if she were to ever apply this to that rather than disarming people.
β˜… Weaponry || Tatsuki is skilled in weapons, capable of using just about anything to her advantage. She prefers short-ranged weapons such as sais, however; her favorite weapons are usually poled weapons. She has one in the form of a retractable Naginata pole, capable of forming either a pole or turning into a short sword, fitting for whatever the situation calls for. Regardless of which weapon she uses, she is still a formidable opponent.

⌈AbilitiesβŒ‹
✠ Telepathy || She is not a psychic, nor is she telekinetic. Telepathy usually instills the ability to communicate without words, and as such, it is an odd ability for a human to have. It is unsure of where it came from, but it is speculated to have something to do with her family, the Genshu. Regardless, Tatsuki is able to communicate with people via their minds, even if they themselves are not telepathic.
✠ Eye of Truth || This particular ability was learned from Yujin. Typically, when an Oni is invisible, the only ones who can see them are Hanyou's or humans with a peculiar gift of the eye. It was a difficult thing to learn, training her eyes to be able to see more than what they are supposed to, however; thanks to it, she is capable of seeing Oni should they try to cloak themselves. It's not something she uses for a prolonged period of time as it causes extreme stress to the eyes. She went blind for three days for over-exerting herself.
✠ Smoke Bombs || She is not from the Genshu clan for nothing. As a child, she was trained as most of those related to the clan. She was trained in the way of being a shinobi, however; her area of expertise and prodigal prowess was in the creation of smoke bombs. She creates and uses them only when she needs to. Usually, they provide for a good cover when she needs to escape or if she is in a tight pinch and needs a way out without the risk of following.
✠ Stealth || Shinobi born, and shinobi raised. This was the life Tatsuki had known for the first few years of her life. From the time she could walk, her family taught her to have lighter footsteps, to conceal her weight and become nothing. As a result, she is capable of blending in with most backgrounds should she wish to not be discovered. This works especially well in covert missions, when she used to be a mercenary for hire.

⌈There are a lot of things that you do not know about me. It is not simply because I do not wish for you to know. It is because I do not know how to let you know. My secrets are nothing to be ashamed of, but to tell them to another soul...it's complicated. Oh, just leave me alone already, please! It's embarrassing...βŒ‹

⌈Other:βŒ‹
  • Tatsuki was born into a renowned Ninja Clan, simply known as the Genshu Clan. She was born to the head of the clan, thus making her next in line, however; she disappeared when she was about eight years old. In all technicalities, she actually left the clan. She had been promised to wed into another prominent clan, however; not only was her groom-to-be older than her by at least twenty years, she had no desire to marry for her clan's advancement in social status. Luckily for her, her carriage was attacked by Oni and she was able to escape. She's never returned back home and hope her family thinks she's dead. She never liked them anyway.

⌈Habits
βŒ‹
β™ˆ Cuddle || She isn't ashamed to admit that she loves to cuddle. The feeling of something soft and warm against herself is comforting and it brings a sense of serenity to her. When they used to camp outside, Tatsuki used to sleep with Masurao and cuddled with him. It often produced a rather interesting sight, especially when they woke up. Mao had a hard time peeling her off of him in the mornings. This, is perhaps the one thing Tatsuki will admit to without become embarrassed about it.
β™ˆ Humming || In her own company, or that of her brothers, Tatsuki will hum small things to herself. She is quite skilled in vocal music, her voice typically soft and melodic, however; she doesn't often sing in public or in front of others very often. Humming, she has no problem with doing and will often do so when she is cooking or bored. Should someone actually get her to sing, they would be in for a rather refreshing sound.
β™ˆ Blushing || Tatsuki is painfully shy it is almost physically hurtful to see. It's a strange thing, when one considers her previous profession and her current one, however; because of this, she tends to blush...a lot. Even the smallest gestures, such as locking eyes with someone, can cause the heat to rush to her face, and she'll find herself blushing. She wishes she could stop, but it's an automatic response she has to interaction of any kind (besides with Mao and Yuji) she has with people.

⌈LikesβŒ‹
ღ Cooking || She has been on the road and has lived the life of a mercenary for just about ten years. Masurao could not cook, and Yujin never showed an interest in the thing. Someone had to do it, and because it was her, Tatsuki loves to cook. She'll often go overboard and cook meals large enough to feed a small army, and given the way Mao and Yujin eat, it's like constantly feeding a small army. Regardless, she doesn't seem to mind and thoroughly enjoys being able to provide for them.
ღ Her brothers || The only life she has ever known was that between her and her two brothers. They have been a part of her life ever since she could remember, and she would feel lost without them. She adores them and is often the one taking care of them, going so far as to cook and clean up after them. In a way, they see her as their mother even though she is the youngest. Though, she could do without having to remind Yujin to constantly take a bath.
ღ Rainstorms || Tatsuki is content to stand out in the rain during a rain shower. She doesn't care if she'll get sick, or if she ends up being pruned, she enjoys the weather. It keeps almost everyone else inside and it is the only time she is ever able to be outside without worrying about crowds or people. Often times, she'll literally dance in the rain (at her discretion of course) when no one is watching, though she is certain that people have seen her doing so.

⌈DislikesβŒ‹
✘ The Yakuza || She is aware of the crimes the Yakuza have committed, what they have done to the people of the village she currently resides in. She wants nothing more than to be rid of them, to free the village so that they may be free of the fear that grips them so. She doesn't have a personal issue against them like Masurao and Yujin do, however; she has taken it personally of the crimes they commit and she wants nothing more than to help those who cannot help themselves.
✘ Crowds || Large crowds and shy people do not mix well. This is something Tatsuki has learned the hard way. She doesn't like large crowds and tries to avoid them if she can. She'll usually try to blend in with the background and become transparent to others around her, however; it doesn't always work and she is often forced to mingle with crowds. She would rather much be the wallflower that goes unnoticed than to be the one in the spotlight.
✘ Racial Differences || When Tatsuki looks at a person, she looks at who they are. She doesn't see race, she doesn't see evil. She sees only a person who happens to have horns coming out of their head, or a person who just looks a little different than most. She doesn't like the discrimination between the races, and should someone try to denigrate her because of her status as a human, shy she may be, but she isn't against defending herself.

⌈StrengthsβŒ‹
♦ Acceptance || Tatsuki traveled with an Oni, still travels with a Hanyou. Race is something that does not bother her. She doesn't see a race when she looks at the others. She sees people. Hanyou, Oni, they are just words to her that have no place in her vocabulary. As such, she tends to treat people the same. She accepts people as they are and for who they are, not what they are.
♦ Agility || Physical strength was something not afforded to Tatsuki, nor most humans to begin with. She had to make up for it somewhere, and in doing so, became a little faster. She is quicker than the average human, however; she isn't that much faster. Her agility can rival that of a low-leveled Hanyou at best when she's pushing herself.
♦ Resilience || Though she is a human, Tatsuki came from a sturdy lineage. Her family was capable of taking a beating and able to bounce back from the injuries as if they had never happened at all. Granted, Tatsuki's regenerative abilities are just a typical human's, she heals a little faster than most, which gives her the edge she needs to be able to keep fighting. Her will to keep going is rather impressive, if not a little dangerous.

⌈WeaknessesβŒ‹
☯ Shy || It's very obvious that Tatsuki has a problem with speaking to people she doesn't quite know. The only reason she was able to get a job as the cook was through Masurao who put in a good word for her. Her shyness tends to keep her from interacting much with people, especially those of the opposite gender. With women, she has little problem talking to them, however; should a male address her (who isn't Yujin or Masurao), she'll freeze and can become a little bit clumsy.
☯ Family || Tatsuki left her family at a very young age. She was found by Masurao and practically was raised by him. Yujin came into her life not soon after, and it is to them that she would fall. Should someone or something ever manage to best the Oni and the Hanyou, Tatsuki would sacrifice any ounce of life for them that she had. Human she may be, but that does not mean she would not willingly give her life for her brothers safety.
☯ Physical Strength || It's a given, human's are not physically as strong as most Oni. Tatsuki was not spared from this, and is not quite as strong as she could be. To make up for this set back, she is extremely agile and fast for a human, her speed rivaling that of a lower level Hanyou at best. Her strength may often cause her to be put in situations that she would rather avoid if she cannot end a battle quickly. She's never had a problem before, however; that isn't to say it couldn't happen in the future.

⌈There are some things I wish I could do, things I could be. There are many more things I know I could be, but something is holding me back. These chains, I wish I could break them, but it is easier said than done. I may not be the most friendly of people, but I cannot say that I do not try to be.βŒ‹

⌈PersonalityβŒ‹
Shy | Destructive | Steadfast | Loyal | Kind

Shy is perhaps the best word to describe Tatsuki. Given her previous occupation, one would think her to be calm with a sense of poise, however; she is in fact the opposite. She can talk to people, but only when she feels comfortable around them. And that can take a while depending on how the other person receives her shyness. She can be a little withdrawn because of it, and has been known to be mute to certain people. She tries to break out of the shell, however; it is easier said than done. She doesn't necessarily try to keep people at an arms distance. It's just something she is unsure of where it stemmed from. Perhaps it was the years spending with only her brothers, or perhaps it was the death of her cousin. Either way, she can be extremely shy to the point where she has turned a bright red and stuttered uncontrollably. The stuttering isn't existent any longer, but the blushing is something she cannot control quite yet. Despite her shyness, Tatsuki can be quite destructive.

She can be strong-willed to a point that it causes a bit of a temper to rise from her. She isn't exactly the type to lose her temper, however; it is present nonetheless. She can be just like any other person who gets annoyed and bothered, however; she doesn't keep it to herself and will often lash out when pressured too much. She doesn't mean to, and she'll often apologize quickly once she realizes her wrong. Otherwise, her temper is usually well under control. This, is probably attributed to her ability to remain devoted to one cause or another. She doesn't waver from her decision once she makes it, and it is hard to sway her otherwise. She knows when she is wrong, however, and will occasionally allow someone to sway her towards a better decision. Regardless, she stands for what she believes in and should someone try to tell her otherwise, she isn't afraid to fight for it either.

Loyalty is not something freely given, and it must be earned from her, however; those who manage to earn her loyalty will find dedicated friend. Her loyalty is not something she does not take lightly, and once someone has earned it, they have her undivided affiliation. It doesn't matter who or what the person is, and she would follow them to the ends of the earth. It is such that she would lay down her life for those who have earned her trust and it has almost happened on more than one occasion. Despite her shyness, Tatsuki is a very kind person, and is always willing to help out in anyway she can. She accepts people for who they are and doesn't go about judging them based on the things others might say about them. She's done a few things she wasn't proud of, so she understands a bit. Regardless, she is a young woman who can have her heart in the right place if she were to ever get over her tendency to be extremely shy around people.

I believe that my past, will not be my future, and that I will create a better one, even if it's means I cannot be apart of it...in the end.βŒ‹

⌈HistoryβŒ‹
Tatsuki's parents were both from a well-known Ninja clan known as the Genshu Clan. Though mere humans, they all held special talents that made them desirable to not only human warlords, but Oni warlords as well. The Genshu Clan was especially known for it's ability of espionage and guerrilla warfare tactics, making them one of the most feared Ninja Clans in the province. Tatsuki's father was the head of this clan, making her the heir, however; her family's clan was dwindling in numbers. In order to maintain its position, Tatsuki was arranged to marry the Head of the Shiranui Clan's son, Hidehiko. When she would be of age, he would be at least twenty years her senior, something Tatsuki did not take too well. She grew up as an only child, her only company that of her cousin, Nobuo. The two were as close as siblings and often did everything together. Tatsuki's father often encouraged the two, despite Tatsuki's previous engagement, and began training them both to become the Heads of the Clan. Once Tatsuki was married into the other family, Mamoru would need an heir for his clan.

Though Tatsuki was the Heir, she had no claims to anything because she was a female. Mamoru needed a male heir, and his wife could no longer bear children. As such, Nobuo and Tatsuki became inseparable. When Tatsuki turned seven, she was to leave her family to continue her training with the Shiranui Clan. Not only would she be completing her training, but she would also be receiving additional training, one that was to groom her to be the perfect wife. Nobuo, at the time, was thirteen years old, and had accompanied her wagon to the Shiranui home. What they had not anticipated, though, was an attack by Oni. They slaughtered everyone, leaving Tatsuki and Nobuo the last ones before they turned on them. Nobuo, small as he was, was no match for the Oni and fell. Tatsuki lost her brother that night, and was ready to join him when she blacked out. She did not know what happened after that, waking up to see the face of a young boy.

She learned that he was the one that saved her, though she did not know how. She owed him her life, and began following him around ever since. She did not vow vengeance on the Oni, instead, choosing to follow the life of her new friend. She trained with him, honing both her skills and his until she turned twelve years of age. The two of them adopted the way of life of Mercenaries, taking odd jobs here and there just to get by. Her friend, Masurao, was a Hanyou, a half-breed and the two often took on jobs that required the extraction of an Oni. Since she was just a mere human, his help was always appreciated. The two made a name for themselves, and for a time, they were all they had. During a job, Tatsuki and Masurao met an Oni by the name of Yujin. He was their target, however; the three of them ended up coming to an understanding and became traveling friends.

She grew close to the two Oni's, learning various things from them, such as the Eye of Truth from Yujin. He taught her how to see Oni when they cloaked themselves, and it was an ability she made good use of. The life of a Mercenary was not an easy one, and often times they took jobs that they did not necessarily approve of, however; it was Tatsuki who made the decision to quit. She wasn't exactly sure what to do, as fighting and living on the go was the only life she knew, but it wasn't all she wanted. They are currently residing in a village, she taking up a job as a cook. They are recent inhabitants of the village, having only been there a week, but it is something she is enjoying. A simple life is not a luxury she would have ever thought someone like her could have, but with the interference of the Yakuza, she isn't sure she can stay neutral. She promised she wouldn't interfere with whatever problems the village have, however; the plight is becoming unbearable to listen to.

[ Oni are typically large, colored skin, and often appear monstrous. Yujin has inherited, perhaps, a more human appearance to him. He doesn't sport any particularly odd coloration save perhaps his hair. Most Oni tend to differentiate between white, blue, purple, and sometimes, pink hair. Yujin has a peculiar mix between orange and red. While appearing a crimson for the most part, streaks of orange flow through his hair giving it a rather sunset appearance. It is a brilliant color and he keeps it fairly long. It often glows like the sun during the twilight hours and Tatsuki has given him the nickname San, which means Sun. The length itself falls to his lower back side, brushing barely past his thighs. The front part of his hair, however, is cut into choppy layers, giving him a somewhat feral look. His bangs hover between his eyes, falling to the tip of his chin. The shortest parts of his hair fall and rest against his shoulders. He'll pull his hair into a ponytail, however; he'll leave his bangs and the front part of his hair loose, giving the impression of short hair until he turns around.

His eyes are probably the only peculiar thing about him. They do not appear fierce as most Oni, and in fact, appear quite the opposite. He gives off a gentle disposition, and something rather inviting. This is only accented by the deep red brows that hover over his heterochromatic eyes. Heterochromia is often inherited from the parent, and it reigns true for Yujin. He inherited his mother's eyes. His left eye is a deep purple, appearing amethyst in color, like the gem when lit beneath a fire. It tends to be a shade darker during the day, however; at night, it appears almost a vibrant magenta color. His right eye is the color of citrine gold, like a gold coin being melted down for the first time. The gold often is the first thing people notice about him, not that he minds really, and the colors are accented by his lashes, which are not as long as most. They do not brush against his cheekbones, and that is how he prefers it really. Long lashes only obscure his view. Everything about Yujin is fairly masculine. From the shape of his jaw to the outline of his body.

He stands roughly a few inches over six foot and weighs in a little over two hundred pounds. Most of his weight is obvious, as the muscle protruding from his arms and abdomen are nothing to sneeze at. Oni are typically larger than humans in both height and muscle, and Yujin portray's that. He is corded in thick muscle, and he isn't exactly proud of it really. It only tends to scare people away and he doesn't wish to do that. Unlike his siblings, Yujin's skin is not soft. He is calloused from head to toe as most warriors should be, and at times, his skin can feel almost like sand paper. It's not necessary an unattractive quality, as most Oni tend to be unattractive. Yujin doesn't consider himself as such, but even so, it is hard to deny that he does not look very Oni. He does, however, sport horns. They seem to be integrated into his face as well, giving him a sort of helmet like appearance.

His skin is a rather pale in comparison to most Oni. The color is more reminiscent to a sandy brown, still retaining a bit of a reddish tint to it. It is, for the most part, blemish free. He is covered in ink though. He has tribal tattoo's covering the front part of his chest, crawling around his back and going down his abdomen. They also go around his arms to his elbows. He doesn't sport any battle wounds as his regeneration abilities have saw to that. Despite that, he seems to appear human, if he didn't have the claws and horns that is. ]

⌈Love? What about it? Yeah, sure it's there, for those of lower class and for those lucky enough to find it. I guess it could be pretty nice to have something like that. I cannot say that I actively search for it, because I don't, but I will admit that there is something a little enticing about the notion of sharing my bed...I mean my home, with someone. And who knows, maybe I can extend my legacy into those creatures that we are when we are born. What are they called? Offspring?βŒ‹

⌈Potential InterestβŒ‹
None at the current moment: Yujin believes in the notions of love. He believes that it is possible for two people to meet, and to find that certain spark. He does not, however, believe it is for him. He is an Oni, and the Oni are not exactly well received throughout the population, and he isn't expecting it to roll out on a welcome mat for him. If he finds it, he finds it. He isn't exactly going to go looking for it, but he isn't against it finding him.

⌈Skills
βŒ‹
β˜… Swordplay || Every good samurai is skilled with a sword. Most Oni are samurai, and Yujin's family was no different. From the moment he could walk, he was given a sword in his hand and pitted against the best swordsman of his clan. He lost a few limbs along the way, however; his skill is impeccable and something he does not often do. He would rather fight with his hands than with a weapon. It's cheating to him if he uses a weapon, and he doesn't like being labeled a cheater.
β˜… Mixed Martial Arts || Yujin is a capable fighter with, or without his hands or weapons. He was taught martial arts by his Uncle, however; it was just one particular set of skills. He was taught a variety of martial arts by other members of his family and has utilized most of the arts into becoming good defenses by mixing it up a bit. It isn't impervious, and far from perfect, but it gets the job done.
β˜… Flute || Despite eating and drinking being his favorite things to do, Yujin appreciates good music. He has developed a bit of a talent for playing the flute, and often does so when he is by himself, or when Tatsuki asks him to. He is quite skilled, and will often play at the restaurant as well, though he'll hide his horns beneath a hat at the request of the owners. He doesn't need to scare away the people.

⌈AbilitiesβŒ‹
✠ Regeneration || Oni have extremely fast healing abilities, capable of recovering from just a single wound in less than a few minutes. The most fatal wound can be healed within a day's time if given enough time to tend to it. Yujin's regenerative abilities are as any other Oni's. Should he lose a limb, it can grow back in about a day or two, however; the moment the limb is severed, it can be seen already regenerating itself. This has helped him out in more than one bind.
✠ Cryokinesis || An ability afforded to him by his mother. He is capable of manipulating and creating ice out of thin air, something that most of his family (on his mother's side) seems to have the affinity to. He doesn't use this often, and usually doesn't display this talent either. It is only used as a last resort.
✠ Berserker || With this ability, Yujin is able to empty himself of all rational restraints in battle and completely immerse himself in combat. In doing so, he becomes a bit dangerous for both his enemies, and his friends. He cannot see rationality, thus he cannot distinguish between the two. Going into this mode, it allows him to ignore fatal damage, and becomes slightly immune due to the adrenaline and stamina coursing through his veins. It is a bit frightening in a sense.
✠ Invisibility || Most Oni have the ability to render themselves invisible. Yujin is no exception to this rule and is quite capable of rendering himself invisible, however; he isn't exactly invisible to most people. Those with a peculiar eye and Hanyou's alike, are quite capable of seeing him, even if he was invisible. It's typically humans who cannot see Oni if they do not have the proper training or the eye to see them.

⌈Whoever told you that Oni are indestructible, lied to you. We are susceptible to weakness just as anyone else is, and we all have our fair share of secrets that we do not wish for people to know. Oni are just too prideful to ever admit that we are just as weak as our human counterparts. We just make up for it with our brutality.βŒ‹

⌈Other:βŒ‹
  • N/A

⌈Habits
βŒ‹
β™ˆ Referral || There are times that Yujin will not refer to himself as I, or me. He will not refer to himself as Yujin either. Often times, he'll call himself Oni, and often talks as if he is speaking about them when in fact he is referring to himself. This has confused people at times, and he doesn't try to correct it. It is just who he is.
β™ˆ Monikers || He is good at putting a name to a face, however; he doesn't typically like calling people by their given names. Instead, he'll often give the people nicknames. For example, he calls Masurao, Ma-mao, and he'll often call Tatsuki, Tsu-Tsu or occasionally, Tata. Though she doesn't like it much, it doesn't sway Yujin from stating otherwise.
β™ˆ Cloud Gazing || There is nothing better than laying in the grass, gazing up at the sky and watching the clouds roll by. It is his own personal method of meditating, and he enjoys it. There is something peaceful about the notion, and it almost makes him wish the world were just a little more peaceful...like the clouds.

⌈LikesβŒ‹
ღ Drinking || The first thing people often notice about Yujin is the large gourd he carries around with him. It is often filled with sake or some other beverage he can fill it with, and is constantly seen drinking out of it. The gourd weighs almost as much as he does, but he can lift it with no problem. Masurao told him he had a drinking problem...once.
ღ Eating || Yujin is a big guy. Big guys typically need a lot of energy and food to keep going. Yujin doesn't really think in terms of proper eating. It is perhaps the reason why Tatsuki is able to keep up with large orders at the restaurant. Yujin eats like his life depends on it, and he loves it. He doesn't care what he is eating just as long as it's edible.
ღ Fighting || Typically a laid-back kind of guy, there is nothing more that Yujin loves than fighting. The thrill, the adrenaline, it's morphine to him, and he's addicted. Though usually he does not interfere in fights that involve other people, he will not hesitate to jump into one if it should involve one of his family members. Regardless, if it's a fight, you can be sure Yujin will be at the front lines.

⌈DislikesβŒ‹
✘ Oyabun || Yujin doesn't have anything against the Yakuza. They were his family at one time, however; he and the head never really saw eye to eye. Yujin did not agree with most of their ethics, and as a result, the Oyabun kicked him out. Usually, the penalty for such a thing was death, however; Yujin managed to get out alive. Ever since then, and the recent acquisition of the small village Yujin currently resides in, he has harbored a strong dislike towards the Oyabun.
✘ Spicy Things || He likes food. He likes to eat, however; he is very picky about his food. It might be because of a curry dish Tatsuki got wrong, or it could be he has a sensitive tongue, but one thing is for certain. Yujin cannot tolerate spicy foods or spicy things in general. Spiced things he can take, but things that have heat to them often leave the Oni breathless. It's actually quite a sight if one is lucky enough to catch him as such.
✘ Holy Items || He is weak against them. It is enough reason to dislike them, though ironically, he seems to spend some, if not most, of his time around priests and priestesses. He seems a little fascinated about them, though. Nevertheless, Yujin will avoid holy items where he can, especially the beads. He was burnt by them once, a feeling he doesn't necessarily wish to repeat.

⌈StrengthsβŒ‹
♦ Oni || Being an Oni has it's perks. For one, he has a longer life span, typically almost a century longer than a human's and a Hanyou's put together, and he is granted a physical strength that is far superior to humans, though with that strength comes the inability to be agile. Oni typically have thicker hides as well, and it often takes a while before they can be hurt, but it isn't impossible.
♦ Deception || Yujin plays the part of a simple minded creature, an Oni down to his very bones, however; he is in fact a lot smarter than he lets on. He would rather people see him as a simple, laid-back lazy Oni rather than the strategist that he is, and was. He wasn't part of the Yakuza for a reason, and it was this ability of his that he was slightly valued. That, however, did not save him from being thrown out. Regardless, Yujin is a deceptive soul, and for reasons he does not share.
♦ Strength || It's been said that Oni have the strength of a hundred men, and this is perhaps true, but slightly under exaggerated. Oni are stronger by far than the average human, and it is this strength that Yujin has relied on when dealing with others of his kind. He is capable of controlling it, unlike Masurao, and can apply it when he needs to, where he needs to.

⌈WeaknessesβŒ‹
☯ His Family || Yujin never had a true family, and when he met Tatsuki and Masurao, they were the closest things to siblings he had ever had. He became attached to them, and though he was with the Yakuza at the time, spent most of his days with them, traveling. After he left the Yakuza and joined up with them again, Yujin has become very protective of them, and will not hesitate to destroy anything, or anyone who wishes to bring them harm.
☯ Holy Beads || It is no surprise that Oni are subjected to Holy items. In Yujin's case, he is a little weaker to holy beads than any other holy item. He has been burnt by them before, and it is not an experience he wishes to repeat. He tends to avoid anything holy, really, though it's a bit irOnic that he is seen in the company of priests and priestesses from time to time.
☯ Agility || Oni are typically large, lumbering beasts. They are powerful, but they are also very slow. Yujin was not spared this, and as a result, lacks in speed and agility. He is, though, slightly faster than most Oni, but not by much. He could easily be taken down by someone who was much more agile than he is, but he makes up for this in his deception techniques. Though, if someone were to try and outrun him, they could easily do so.

⌈Who said we Oni were a bunch of ignorant fools? Okay, I'll give you that one. We can be a little...stupid, but rest assured, I am nothing of the sort. What I am, what I can be, is something not everyone gets to see. Count yourself lucky that I do not show you my true face. I do not wish for everyone to fear me, after all. Just the ones that need to.βŒ‹

⌈PersonalityβŒ‹
Easy-Going | Laid-Back | Abrasive | Perceptive | Deceptive

Oni are typically known for their lack of intelligence and abrasive attitudes. Yujin is nothing of the sort, though he can be a little abrasive from time to time. He doesn't concern himself with others or their feelings, and has often times hurt other peoples feelings before. It's not that he means to, but he is an Oni after all, and it is in his nature. Because of this side of him, he'll often try to keep to himself, however; it's difficult seeing as he often stays by his siblings who both work at the restaurant. Also, because he tends to hang around priests and priestesses, he tries to bite his tongue when around them. So far, he is capable of controlling it, but it does fly every now and then. He accepts his punishment when he does. Despite this part of him, Yujin can be a pretty laid-back kind of person. He tends to just roll with whatever is going on around him, and has been known to be a bit of a tease in this sense. He has no problem picking on his siblings, especially when it comes to their social awkwardness. He is a relaxed individual who would rather just roll with it than to have it bother him in any way.

He is, however, a very perceptive individual. He is capable of pinpointing just about anything when he listens, and has used this to his advantage when he is looking for something. He is also capable of understanding something once he sees it and often has an eye for detail. This part of him has served him well more than once, leading him out of ambushes by slayers, and traps left for Oni in general. He can be a very deceptive person because of this as well. He is capable of deceiving people, having them believe a complete lie as if he were feeding it to them with a golden spoon. The only people he will never deceive are those who he manages to form extreme bonds with. So far there have only been two people, though he is positive that there will be more at some point in his life. Regardless, he can have people believing just about anything. For instance, he has convinced half of the villagers that he is in fact a Hanyou, when he is clearly not. It keeps unwanted attention off of him though, and that is how he prefers it.

Regardless of those qualities, Yujin is a fairly easy-going kind of person. Coupled with his tendencies to be laid-back, it is almost hard to believe that he is an Oni, and is perhaps why people believe he is a Hanyou. He tends to be not in a rush about things, and likes to take things slowly. It gives off the air of lacking intelligence, as he would rather people believe that he is a big oaf rather than a terrifying creature. He is in fact an intelligent being, employing the use of just about anything and everything to make people believe otherwise. He generally is a nice guy, however; there will be times when he will lose himself to his more beastly side. In these instances, he has been known to be fairly aggressive and will often take on the mind-set of a lesser Oni, destroying just about anything and everything in his path. Thankfully, years of practice have kept this side of him in check. In all, Yujin in a fairly intelligent Oni who would rather take life one day at a time than to be coerced into the genocide of any race, something he abhors about the Oyabun.

⌈Oni do not have the most pleasant stories to tell. All Oni are born into battle, bloodshed, violence. I was no exception. And in so battle and death I was born, and it is from the blood spilled of my brethren that I have risen to what I have today. Judge it for what it is worth, but I assure you, Oni do not regret our pasts...just the mistakes we make.βŒ‹

⌈HistoryβŒ‹
Yujin was born to Oni parents, both whom were well-known warriors of their time. It was only fitting that the two were matched and produced a son, however; life was not always well. Yujin's parents were actually feared by not only humans, but by other Oni as well. It was no surprise when his parents were eventually betrayed by their brethren, and Yujin was left to fend for himself from a very early age. He was much too young to recall much about his parents, only that he was orphaned about the age of three years old. It was around this time that he was taken in by a human, a man who held no name and one Yujin never asked for. The human man knew Yujin was an Oni, however; that did not stop him from raising the Oni as his own son. It was this that had most people of the village the man lived in, believing Yujin to be his bastard son, however; he never denied the claims, nor did he say otherwise. The man raised Yujin as best as he could, teaching him things from martial arts to weaponry. In time, the man revealed himself as a retired slayer, hoping that his skills and knowledge would at least change the life of one Oni without having to kill him, and it worked for the most part.

It wasn't until Yujin was about seven years old, still just a baby in the eyes of Oni, that the man who raised him, had been slaughtered. Yujin never found who did it, but that did not stop an aching hole growing in his chest, and once again, he found himself alone. He was eventually found by his mother's brother, and taken back into the household of Oni. It was there that he was given the tutelage of an Oni, pitted against his cousins to see who was the stronger of the bunch, and it was there that he learned the world of Oni was 'Kill or be Killed.' Not exactly the brightest moments of his life, Yujin killed most of his cousins during their battles, and he was often encouraged to keep doing it. It became such a constant in his life, that Yujin had forgotten what his human father had taught him. It wasn't until Yujin came of age, around fourteen, that he left his uncle, and went out into the world on his own. He traveled, applying his trade here and there just to get by, and had often attacked human villages with no regrets. He killed humans, Hanyou's, and Oni alike if they got in his way, and something in him seemed to snap.

He had constant nightmares of a man and a disappointed face, and somehow, it always made Yujin feel like he failed something. Around the time he turned twenty, Yujin found himself in the employment of the Yakuza, a notorious gang that he thought would be his new family, however; his world would be changed by two people. During a raid on a village, Yujin ran into Masurao and Tatsuki. A bit fascinated that a human would be with a Hanyou, he mistook them as lovers, despite Tatsuki's young age, and decided to follow them around for a bit. It became clear to Yujin that the two were more like siblings than anything, and he found Masurao struggling to control his Oni side. Taking a lesson he'd learned long ago, one that seemed almost foreign, he taught Masurao to control it, to master it, and taught Tatsuki how to see his kind when they rendered themselves invisible. He grew attached to the two siblings and soon found himself unable to leave their side.

They had grown on him, and it was something he wasn't accustomed to. When he returned back to the Yakuza, it was to find a new member, a woman, a Hanyou at that, under the ownership of the Oyabun. He did not understand why it had bothered him so much, however; within the next six months, Yujin found himself thrown out of the gang, barely able to escape with his life. Once a member joins the Yakuza, it is for life, and can only be separated by death, however; Yujin was able to persuade the ones that were meant to kill him, to let him go. He found himself under the companionship of Tatsuki and Masurao again, and stayed with them until they retired and settled in the small village they now live in. Yujin has made progress, and often plays the part of a docile Hanyou, however; he knows that the Oyabun is planning something. What, he hasn't quite figured out, but it has to do with the village they live in. The Oyabun would not have acquired it if it were for no particular reason, something he learned in the years he spent with the Yakuza. Regardless, Yujin will protect what he must should something happen. And he has a feeling that something just might.
