Description

Physical Description- She has snow white air and red eyes in a simple but innocent looking face. Generally sporting a stern look and is medium height but a bit on the chubbier side.

Personality- Most would describe her as very calm. She doesn't make friends often (even though she wants to), and is not above kicking people out of her life when she sees fit. This causes most to call her cruel and heartless but she sees herself as just efficient in getting what she wants. However, when she does find someone that she deems worthy she becomes extremely protective of them to the point that it is almost stalkerish, but she can't help it, it's her constant turmoil.

Equipment and abilities- She excels in elemental magic so she can be seen having her head in a book whenever she has some free time from work. When she does not have her magic to help her out you can be sure that she has her whip somewhere on her. It is make of black pony leather with a sharp sapphire at the end of its tip. The rope itself is about about ten feet long but can grow bigger with a simple command.

Historical background- Her mother, Lena, was considered a highly ranked military officer and her father was a promising politician. Luna was young and life back then was good, but this soon was shattered. At age three her mother started to notice some pretty strange things about Luna so she took her to the best hospital in the city and a required blood test revealed that Luna was half human. The truth of her mother's adultery quickly spread and eventually the council took notice of the gossip and brought her and Lena in for questioning and soon confirmed what they had feared. Her father immediately left the family and the kingdom out of embarrassment and her mother was stripped of all her military titles, making her bitter and angry for the rest of Luna's teen years up until she finally became fed up and left home at age 16. Ever since she could remember she had always loved learning about magic but her parents looked down upon it but now that she wa finally free she decided to continue the art by traveling the world and learning from all the greatest minds in magic. This travel eventually led her to the land of Amesha, where she was promised all the best schooling in the art of magic is se worked as a slave for a particular guild for one year, and thus begins her current position- as a slave for the Raven Home bearing a black ribbon.

On this Tuesday evening it was a day not like many others of the year in Amesha, the sun was blocked from the sky and winds lay cold as they drifted across the open fields before Raven Home. Much of the week before it had been all the same, cold rain and blowing, howling winds that kept even the stoutest of farm hands inside. This weather was slowly becoming the norm it seemed, coming more year after year and only ceasing when the last of Autumn embraced the land. However; those within the vaulted halls of Raven Home remained untouched and unfazed by such events as usual. Their lives revolving around singular needs and desires that they themselves have brought to fruition. Though it is not the lands effects that tempt changed up that great house, but the change of the lands people and in the last few months a small gathering have assembled outside the far gates of the complex. Protesting with their own vision of the world and the way it should, against the long held traditions of one of the oldest establishments in their most beloved land. All the while; as those within remain unchanged by that predicament, even less so then by the weathers current conditions.

Even as the sun had finished rising to meet the middle hours of the day, there still remained no light that could fully break through the clouds and the wind did not cease to blow fervently. The guards posted at the entrance of the could see the whole of the open valley before them and in the distance, the tight iron spec of color was the far gate. Where they knew the outer limit guards must be enjoying their time with the protesters. Those destined for the house however had already arrived not more then half and hour ago and awaited their introduction with the house master.

The foyer of Raven Home was massive, a meeting place were the ceilings were high and the large square room looked as though it accommodate several hundred at least. The dark green marble floor stretched far and the oaken ceiling could be seen it its reflection. Several seating arrangements were organized around the room with comfort in mind, with golden wood finish and cushioned seats of dark fabric. A large stair case extended towards the northern side of the room, going up to the higher floors and on the opposite side, a set of stairs going down. The centerpiece of the room was a large fountain, standing nearly twelve feet high and in the form of a woman, pouring water over herself, from a jug on her shoulder.

The only others in the room besides the guest, were the guards themselves and numbering at six they all seemed to be the same. Though their armor masked the face and bodies, it was still simple to tell man from woman among them. They stood armed with a sword and pistol, with a single set of metallic cuffs hanging on their person. Their armor had small scrawling images engraved on them, which several of the visitors could see possessed some familiar glow and so did their weapons as well.

It had been nearly thirty minutes since they arrive and told that they could await the Master of the house, the older man who spoke to them dressed finely and greeted them well before being on his way out the eastern side of the room. Unlike the others, who came to Raven Home on their of their own accord. The black widow Azai was still bound and chained, those that brought him had hooked his heavy chains to the floor through a anchor with a removable cover. It seemed that this place was not so proper and clean as the outside appearances had shown. In fact; where he stood their seemed to be small red smeared stains on the floor and several scuff marks in the marble. Though faint and repaired over the yeas, there had been many others in a predicament like his own placed here before.

As the mid the mid hour approached, a bell could be heard tolling from within the halls of Raven Home. Its din carrying far through the structure and several guards came in from the opposite door in which the well dressed man left. Three of them and they switched out with three of the other guards in their post. As the other guards left, a figure came walking down the stairs, nearly gliding down as he came down each individual step. He was dressed in white open robes and his hair flowed slowly behind him as he walked, laying eyes on his new guest as he moved. "Welcome to my esteemed home, its always nice to receive new guest.Whe Kenner touches the floor finally, it is then that they can see he is bare foot as he walks towards them and they can feel his eyes on their skin. As if he is appraising them from the moment of meeting them, though there is a hint of admiration in them as well.

Safia Isren

Kenner meets with Safia first and smiles, though his hands do not meet hers. He instead runs them across her shoulders and sides, only stopping for a moment when he pulls her hands up to see her palms. Noticing the faded, but apparent marks of days spent in chains causes a slight wince to come across his face. He rubs a hand down the side of her cheek and smiles back at her with warmth "It seems your parents saw fit to prepare you.. am I right?. No matter, this house does not operate some brashly". His hands lay hers back at her sides and he looks at her one last time before speaking "Blue seems the best choice for now and she is still a young woman as well". At that moment a pair of hands, coming from behind Safia, clasp a thin ring of fabric around her right arm.

Everyone turns at the sound of the startled chirp coming from the young woman as she turns to face the person that was standing behind her. A woman nearly the same height as Kenner, but from that point it was hard to tell anything else. Her attire was a slate black dress that covered her entire body. Complete with a white mask that covered her face and a thin veil of fabric enclosed around her head. Leaving only dark red hair in the shape of a ponytail out of a slit in the back and the shoulders of her body left bare. Her skin was grey and flush and her arms were covered by long gloves that reached up to the bottom of her shoulders. The mask was vacant save for two vaguely eye shaped holes and a slit for the mouth, though which her voice could be heard. Kenner smirked at the response from the room and spoke "This is Chlorra, she will be your caretaker for when I am not around". The woman motioned a greeting slightly, but did not speak and that allowed for Kenner to continue what he was doing.

Luna Marquise Grimm

Kenner approached Luna next and as he got closer she could feel something strange. Being this close to him gave her body a slight sense of revulsion, as if her body were reacting to him in some way and even staring directly at him was becoming difficult with his proximity. It felt almost as though her eyes could start burning, a feeling akin to staring into the sun for too long. Kenner smirked once more as he saw her reaction and he leaned in, grabbing her hand. Which automatically make her flesh want to pull away from where his fingers made contact. "Your blood is betraying you little miss.. black for now, but she has promise". The same pair of arms dart back in from behind her and clasp the black ring of fabric around her right arm.

Wyran Lalunis

The young fay got some more attention then the others, Kenner was slow to inspect him and kept his hands moving at a calm pace. The only time he stopped was when he came to Wyran's neck and held a hand lightly across his throat. He smiles and gives the small fay a rub behind the ear as a treat. "Its been a while since we've had a being like you in this house, but you do possess some remarkable talents. Orange should be a good choice and that means you'll be dealing with Misha and Masha.". The woman behind him giggles suddenly, only to be stopped by her own means. Her voice cuts however, as the others hear it and it may be the reason why she refrains from speaking now. She clasp the small ribbon around his arm and moves on with Kenner.

Azai Laquil

Azai's stature is stunted by the posture he mast take to keep slack in the chains holding him down, but Kenner approaches and inspects him all the same. The cuffs holding his ankles and wrist are all linked to the same large chain, hooked through the anchor in the floor. With a large bit placed in his mouth that someone undoubtedly lost their life placing. Kenner brushes his hair back and looks him over more, feeling the sides of his face and body. "Now lets see that smile shall we.." Kenner reaches up and unlatches the side of the bit that holds the rest of the strap around the back of his head. Even though, strangely, he did not posses the key for the restraints small lock. He grips Azai's head at the back with a strong firm hand and slides the bit out with the other, to allow the man use of his mouth again. He releases Azai and smiles "Black as well, you may be more trouble then your worth young man. However that does not mean we here, are unwilling to try. Chlorra reaches over his side and setting the ribbon around his arm.

Bowing her head in silent respect to Chlorra to reciprocate her silent greeting, Safiya let a soft smile grow upon her face, despite her faintly hidden fear for her new home, to show her respect as she thought briefly about the warm words that Kenner had spoken to her before turning away from Chlorra to face the front of the room as she dropped her eyes from the staircase in front of her to gaze down at the blue cloth around her arm, her sight of the cloth causing slight confusion to grow within her mind as she knew nothing about what the blue meant. Trailing her eyes away from the cloth to look back over to Kenner as her fear began fading from within her, due to her thoughts of his kind words, she watched as he addressed the rest of the slaves and had Chlorra place their respective colors upon their arms as her confusion continued to grow within her mind, over the meaning of the colors, before looking away from the others to glance back to Kenner for a moment as she lightly rubbed her right wrist with her left hand, her eyes dropping from Kenner to stare down at the scars around her wrists, from the ropes and chains she had endured for years, as she mentally questioned what her parents were preparing her for with the chains and rope if that was not how Raven Home operated. Lifting her eyes from her wrists to look back to Kenner as he spoke about Azai, she listened to his words about the trouble the odd man could cause as she watched Chlorra clasp the black ring of cloth around his arm before shifting her attention back to the black cloth around Luna's arm as she made the assumption that black symbolized the worst of the worst, her thoughts and returning concern causing her to look away from Luna to glance at the orange ring of cloth around Wyran's arm as she attempted to figure out what it and the blue around her arm meant before dropping her eyes from him to stare at the ground as she thought intently about it, the expression of thought obvious upon her face.

As soon as the graceful male walked away Luna experienced a series of violent tremors and silent gagging of the throat. Only the repulsion to the soft white hair that trailed after him pulled her back to this strange reality, forcing her to blink a few times in order to focus. She instantly began to question why she had such a reaction to him for it was very unlike her. I mean sure she loved a little torturing here and there but what demon didn't, but this.....this pure ...HATRED for him was a demon trait that she was not equipped with. She never loved anyone from the first moment she met them, but she never outright hated one either, and what was that nonsense about her blood betraying her? What did he know about her or her blood? The very thought of him had her wanting to scream, curl unto herself, and arise with bloodlust and axes in tow, but no. She would not give into these newfound emotions and would instead do what she did best, scouting out the area and achieving her goal- learn all its secrets, then get the hell out of dodge before anymore could say the wiser, yes....that is what she would do. Once Luna had calmed herself down she turned her head slightly and listened to the words the male spoke to the others. Most seemed vaguely interesting, especially one other boy who seemed to sport a black ribbon on his arm. The very sight of it made her realize that there was something on her arm as well, and upon looking down, noticed that someone had tightly tied a similar black ribbon to her as well. She had no idea what it meant, only that she and the one tied down were probably similar in some way. She unconsciously nodded as she put this bit of information away in the back of her mind and simply watched what went on around her with a clear state of mind.

The albino had been as still as a statue while he had been examined by the man, his eyes almost vacant. A shiver running down his spine when fingers came across his throat ever so gently. It had made Wyran a tad nervous when he noticed that he had been given a slight more amount of attention compared to the others. He had held back a purr of sorts when the back of his ear was rubbed. That would have been mortifying if made audible. When the man finally spoke, it had become clear to the young Fay that he was a rare sight of sorts. His ears twitched when he heard giggling. But he quickly forgets of it as he watched the last of the four be inspected and given a black ribbon. Which made two that had been given the color black. Noting how the man was bound so securely, Wyran concluded that the other black ribbon barer must be somewhat dangerous in her own right. He looked at his own ribbon. Orange, like a sunset. His color had something to do with his throat after putting two and two together. He decided not to dwell on it. Since the matter would obviously be brought up later on. Ruby orbs finally turned their gaze over to the first to be inspected. The dark skinned woman who bore the Blue ribbon. Her and himself possessed the only colored ribbons out of all of them. I wonder what hers might mean?
He then let out a sigh. Knowing now that his fate was no longer in his hands. He hoped that having come here willingly would turn out to be a good idea. His many feathers ruffled and puffed up before smoothing themselves again. He wished to e back home, in his own land surrounded by lush forgets and bubbling brooks. A look of longing could easily be seen apon his gentle face, almost making him appear somewhat older. It would not help wishing now. At least here he would be safe, or at least safer then out there, in a country he knew little about. Wyran clasped his hands behind his back and stared off in no particular direction. Awaiting what might happen next.

Azai hated chains. They had no right to confine him this way. He was not a common spider! Who did they think they were, tying him up this way? And where the hell had they brought him? He had never been on a boat and being in this place was unnerving. He wanted to return home and find he safety of his web. He hadn't been able to make his web the whole time he was with these strange creatures. When they had found out he could create the webs, they had placed heavy chains on his wrists to prevent him from spinning them and it was aggravating. He would find a way to make them all pay for their ill treatment of him. No one trifled with a Black Widow.

The young spider tugged, pulled, and forced these creatures to drag him towards the viewing room. He had even managed to slam a couple of them into a wall to cause some injury but none of that was life threatening unfortunately. He took pleasure in the thought that he had killed 5 of these creatures on the boat with well placed bites. Unfortunately, that earned him the large bit that currently rested in his mouth. It made his tongue feel like leather and his throat scratchy. Drool eased out of the corners of his mouth around the bit but his saliva wasn't poisonous so it did him no good. He would have growled if he could when he was finally latched down to the floor. The guards then quickly backed away as Azai fought against his bonds. There was no escape however and he just panted thickly and glared at everyone around him. He had never seen any of these creatures before. They were all standing in a line beside him. Were they enemies to?

He watched cautiously as the man who owned the manor, he assumed, went to each of the creatures beside him, examining them and then having a ribbon placed on their arms. What did these ribbons signify? Azai's amethyst eyes narrowed on the stranger when he stood before him. He was also well aware of the woman that stood behind him. He wanted to turn but the chains didn't provide him with that liberty. He tensed as the man reached towards him then and unlocked the bit. Within moments the stranger had gripped the back of his head and pulled the bit away, allowing him to breath normally again. He swallowed hard, relishing the freedom it provided him. He did hiss at the man however and tried to bite the withdrawing hands but it was futile. His distraction with the man allowed the woman to slide the black ribbon on his own arm before he was aware of the movement. He tried to bite her but she was behind him and her hands far out of reach.

Azai returned his glare to Kenner then. "Release me!" he growled at the man. "I am not a servant and will not bow to the likes of you. Who do you think you are to control me?"

Kenner looked behind himself as Chlorra quickly took his side and stood attentive as he spun to face all of the new members of his house. Azai was quick to snap and spit words of control in his effort to have this moment. However Kenner just looked on and the woman at his side made an effort to stifle another giggle, though the emotionless form of the mask made such a guess difficult. Were it not for her hand being raised at the side of her mouth, it would be easy to say she had no reaction to the situation at all.

It took a moment for Kenner to clear his throat and set himself before he spoke "I welcome the four of you to my humble home and I know it may be strange or it may be cruel the fashion of how you ended up here, but that is of no matter now. Your are now my guest, my charges and for all intensive purposes mine in general." He paces in front of the small group as he says this, motioning blankly with his hands, it was obvious that he had done this more the a few times in the past.

"That is not to say, it will be a bad life here."

"You will be given care, a place to call your own and as much love as I and my compatriots can offer."
He scowls for a moment, making sure to point his eyes at the direction of Azai and scan them across the group. "But.. if you fight, if you hurt one of my family, or if you make it a habit of causing trouble. This house will become far less receptive and far less caring. Kenner is quick to drop the harsh look on his face when he finishes talking and is tapped on the shoulder by him companion. Leaning in she moves close to his ear and speaks to him, though far enough below what the four could here her say and with a quick nod from Kenner she steps away heading down stairs.

Kenner smiles as he watches her go and returns to the group after she disappears from sight. "You may have noticed the ribbons on your arms, those are to determine your path here in Raven Home, however it is not a definite path that your lives will take. There will always be masters, whose taste far exceeds their need in a slave. As a warning, you cannot take the ribbons off and they will even stay on should your remove your clothing. Just forget they exist and you will most likely never notice them, save for days when they are activated and that is something you do not want happening." Kenner proceeds to hold up his hand and face his palm towards the group, giving them a moment to focus as he passes the other hand in front of it slowly. Only for his fingers to catch on what appears to be strands of thread, suspended between his hand and each of the four slaves.

"These bonds are yours now and you share them with every slave that exist within Raven Home, should I require, these can be used to subdue, call and even punish you should the time call for it." The strands vanish from view when he drops his hand and even from reality as it seems there is no evidence of them being there anymore.

Kenner looks the four of them over and gives them a solemn look as he moves closer. "Now, I believe introductions are in order." He gives a quizzical look at them as he speaks, waiting to hear their replies.

Lightly shifting her right wrist in her left fingers, in slight discomfort over the actions of Azai, Safiya took in a subtle, yet very deep, breath as she attempted to remain calm and composed to reflect her noble professionalism before faintly letting the breath out over the span of a few seconds as she softly closed her eyes in her growing fear, the fear remaining hidden deep within her mind as she thought intently about how she needed to act before slowly fading with each breath she took as she reopened her eyes to look back to Kenner as he spoke about their bonds. Staring directly at the strands as he spoke of them, she watched as they slowly vanished from reality as much confusion over the odd magic grew within her mind, completely replacing her fear, before shaking the confusion from her mind as she dropped her eyes to the ground to her right in thought, her eyes closing once more as she faintly shook her head in her returning confusion about her predicament. 'How am I shared with the others slaves...? I do not feel these bonds he speaks of but yet... How can we...' Ridding her thoughts from her mind after a moment as she gazed back down to the blue ribbon around her arm, she listened to Kenner's final words for a brief moment as she lifted her eyes to look back over to him with a very neutral expression held upon her face as she waited for another of the slaves to speak before softly tightening her grip around her wrist once more as she kept her hands down in front of her, her eyes glancing away from Kenner once more to look at all of the other slaves as she remained silent, too shy to speak.

Luna debated in her mind if she should speak at this time, but she was leaning more towards staying silent for now. The ones that speak first always make a big impression, thus making them easy to remember, which was the exact opposite of what she wanted. Yes, staying hidden would be a sure fine way to stay out of trouble with the master of the house, for she believed all too confidently that the man was pure evil, no matter how nice he treated his slaves.

As the silence grew on her deep blood red eyes traveled over each and every person in the room besides the strange Overlord. They first settled on the tall, lithe frame of the only other woman in the group besides herself. Her posture suggested that she was bred of the finer elk, and was probably well knowledged. How could someone as regal as her find themselves in such a predicament? Was she sold, stolen, or stupid?

Next she rested her eyes on a fairy-like boy who seemed to almost take her breath away, which was strange considering a demon did not need to breath in the first place. The way the Overlord carefully attended to him made her raise a humorous eyebrow. Was he planning on being sweet to him? An interesting thought to tuck away in the back of her mind.

Finally she turned back toward her fellow black ribbon bearer and was surprised when she suddenly had a change of thought about him. At first he seemed like the type that would be all for teaming up and taking over this place, but advice from an old mentor had taught her better. "Opposites attract. Those who are most similar to you are more likely to clash with you.", he had said days before sending her to Amesha. If that were true, then that meant she had to keep a close eye on him; the last thing she needed was another sneaky character getting in the way of her plans.

Kenner looks out over the group and gives a leering smile as he can see the bereft faces in front on him. "Come now" He belts, with a sigh in the back of his throat. "This cannot be all that I see before me, I know full well that many of you have questions and many more a desire of things to know." He looks at the full group and motions for them to listen as if he was a teacher in class. "I know what some of you may have heard about this place and those within it, but assure you that we are all family here now. If it makes your feel any better, this place is completely open to all of you and you are free to roam the halls to your hearts content.. even you my agitated little friend." Kenner holds out his hand and snaps his fingers in the direction of Azai. Who quickly finds his bindings snapping free from his wrist and ankles, only a moment after he could hear their locks shifting oh so slightly. The heavy chains fall too the floor and clatter with a resounding noise as it echos though the empty spaces of the room.

He points down hall leading away from the entrance and looks back at them. "Your rooms are the last on this hall, right above the courtyard. You will find the accommodations honest, if not meager at this point, but the rooms are yours and yours alone. So it is within your right to do with them as you see fit and in time, make some more prominent adjustments." He motions for a guard to come to his side and they trade words for but a moment before the guard motions for them to follow and Kenner beckons them to do the same. "I will be seeing you all shortly and in the morning, your training will begin. If not, then I suspect we can find a use for you at that point." He gives Luna a somewhat unsettling wink as she passes him and begins on his own way down the stairs.

The inner workings of Raven Home are slow and steady, as the group moved they could see that several other people did in fact exist within the walls and there were actually others like themselves moving about. Every now and again, seeing someone marked with a ribbon pass them by. All being of different sizes, shapes, color, sex and creed. Many
Many of whom would look at them with a warm smile and a calm face, giving a gentle touch of the shoulder, as if to welcome them to the house. The halls of Raven Home were just as well made as the foyer, fine examples of stone work and marble everywhere they looked and only the metal of an armed guard was there to break up the sight. Not to mention the sounds that came from within the halls enough to cause some interest, many of the doors they passed sounded as though it was a workshop and from a distance music could be heard playing.

The hallway opened quckly after the group began to feel as though they were walking for several minutes and it turned into a large exchange, splitting into four directions and possessing a center course of stairs and both ascended or decended, depending on the rotation taken on them. Meanwhile the guard had stopped to speak with another, this one obviously a woman due to her figure and was of some status above him. This was due to the difference in their uniforms, hers donning a red plume of feathers on the crest of the helmet. She was questioning him about the group and what he was doing with them. That accompanied by the amount of times she looked their way, was a testament to how she was questioning him.

While they stood there a voice sounded out from one of the openings in the hall, it was nearly a scream, though happy in nature and its source approached the group. "Ohh, new arrivals.. everyone new arrivals."

As the group turned to see what was happening a multitude of small bodies came pattering before them from the adjacent hall. Children, many of varying ages and some that looked to be no more then twelve. They were all dressed as if in the turn for Sunday school and numbered to nearly sixteen, boys and girls alike. The one who spoke out lead them, a smaller girl dressed in what looked to be a formal gown with velveteen cloth. She was strangely pale and had long, lite blue hair, with eyes that shined like deep blue gems. Looking her straight in the face, let the others see that their was actually a light emanating from behind them in turn. This gave her gaze a vastly unnatural quality and caused more questions then answers. All of this, coming from a child who looked no more then just that, a child.

The gaggle of children stopped several feet from the group, surrounding them in a near semicircle, with the leader squealing as she noticed the orange ribbon around the arm of Wyran. She leaped forward and embraced him, hugging tightly around his waste. "Another for me to play with.. I was wondering when my next would come." She gave him a tight squeeze that almost required him to quench his breathing, before releasing him and backing off. As of she had just caught herself doing something that she should not and the guard looked on at her. To which she gave a smile and keened her head as if they two shared a moment of acknowledgement, almost as if they shared a hidden message.

The guard quickly interrupted and waved for the group to follow once more, leaving the children behind. Several of them, including the pale one, waving as they said their goodbyes. This time taking them only a scant farther, before they could see the hall ended in a singular elevator. With several rooms lining the hall at this point, there were more then a few to choose from. However the guard was quick to point at someone, then point towards their assigned room. Allowing them to pass and walk in, sending them on their way and being on his own after the last had their accommodations.

101 - Luna, 102 - Azai, 103 - Wyran, 104 - Safiya..

The rooms were just like Kenner had stated, modest, if not meager. The room was a clean living space with a wash bowl in the corner, a vanity space with several drawers and even a decent bed. Though the floor was bare and the walls were painted a vaguely, neutral shade of the color green. There was also strangely a shaded window of all things, with light peering in from outside. Even though the rooms themselves were far inside the structure of Raven Home, one could only assume that this was not the strangest of things to be see today.

Below the inner levels of Raven Home, things did not look as though they did on the upper floors. Several more surreal sounds could be heard with the mixture of grunts and howls that escaped the cloistered hallways. Stacks on stacks of cages with the stare of anger lit eyes, pointing back with intense malice. These were the under works of Raven Home, the place of the undesired or destructive. Slaves and other creatures that were either too dangerous to keep in the upper levels, or ones that lacked what accounts to the required level of humanity for such a living.

It was here that the docks under Raven Home were nearest, a passage out into the roiling sea that allowed the house to acquire its own special orders of offers and flesh. One such boat had just moored itself in and unloaded its cargo, of which one new slave could be found. This one Chlorra herself came down to see and she was not disappointed, knowing well what the men from before had told her and seeing for herself. The young, emaciated soul was sitting on the tip of the pier, with his own chains latched onto the boards below. He was bound heavily, with heavy straps and buckles restraining his every movement and the men around him wore protective gear. Likely a precaution from things he had done before making it to Raven Home.

She stepped before him and knelt in front of him, placing a hand on his shoulder as she began to appraise him. Her touch, eliciting a feeling of dark silence in Babble. One that he could feel was empty and vast, but with a core of home and shining brilliance. This woman before him, was similar in some small way too him, but vastly older and more refined in her power.

Despite the mask on her face, he could tell that she was smiling back at him.

Luna's first reaction to the children made her want to slowly melt into the darkness and slit their throats before they could bat an eyelash. Her next reaction consisted of her lying shame on her unnatural, yet still technically natural, state of mind. She desperately wanted to find the source of such thoughts but pushed it into the back of her mind as she felt the hairs on her arms and back stand up straight; giving her the knowledge that someone was watching her. With a small turn of her head she laid eyes on several young children who were staring right back at her with haunting, yet calm, looks, making her want to jump out of her own cold flesh as she ran to catch up with the rest of the group. She arrived just in time to hear her name and the number 101 be said as the guard pointed to a simple door on her right. With a quick nod she cut the number into her arm with her long fingernails and wiped up the blood with her own dress as she took a quick peek into her simple room. Curiosity took ahold of her and she fidgeted in her spot with the need to go off and explore on her own since she doubted anyone would be chatting with each other right now. The air around everyone was too fresh and new,and besides, the sight of Azai out of his chains intrigued her but also put her on high alert. Safiya and Wyran both put her at ease since they did not seem to harbor any feelings of anger or hidden agendas, just fright and contentedness.

The master of this manor asked them to introduce themselves and no one had. Azai would not be the first to utter his name to the man. He didn't trust him nor did he dine him worthy of getting him to answer his questions or do as he asked. He was still in chains to boot. No, he would not introduce himself to this rag-tag bunch of strangers. He didn't think of any of them as comrades and friends. He had no use for these strange creatures. He was intrigued about the woman who wore the black ribbon like himself but he still didn't know what the different colors meant. Did the black mean they were both from somewhere far away? He didn't see anything else that would link the two of them together considering they weren't the same race.

When Kenner began to speak again, he turned his attention up to the man and watched him cautiously. He was going to be offered lodgings in his new family? As if this dump could ever be home. He scoffed in his derision and looked away from the man. But then, the man did something he hadn't expected. With a snap of his fingers, Azai was released from his bonds. His eyes widened and he remained tensed where he stood as the chains slid away from his body. His wrists were rubbed raw and bleeding. He was sure his ankles and throat had variations of the same. He reached up to rub his neck and ease the ache there as he turned his gaze back to the man warily. Why would he just release his bonds? Azai could easily attack him. He didn't have much venom left but he had just enough to kill a man Kenner's size. He didn't have any guards right beside him so he was sure he was quick enough. Then again, the after math wouldn't be pretty. He was sure he wouldn't be able to escape this castle easily and even if he did, what then? He didn't know how to use a boat. He'd never been on a boat before this whole charade. He was stranded. He hated that fact more than anything. There was nothing he could do to get out of this mess. He growled in his annoyance and crossed his arms over his chest and looked away in a small amount of defiance he had left.

Then the group was led off down the halls to be taken to their rooms. On the way, they encountered children and Azai instantly tensed. He didn't know what these creatures were like as children. And he really didn't want one of the little bastard to get anywhere near him. He was in no mood to deal with brats. Thankfully, none of them got close to him. He gave a hiss for good measure before they continued on their way. At last, he was given his room number and looked at the door in question. He glanced at the other strangers for just a moment before he hurried into the room to investigate it. It was bare but that was a good thing. He wasn't going to be using the bed anyway. He wanted to immediately run to a corner and start weaving his web since he was exhausted, but his insides were gnawing at him. He hadn't eaten in so long... he was starving.

Azai was going to have to ask these people for food which was annoying in its self. He was used to being independent and being able to get his own meals. This was going to take some getting used to. Azai growled to himself before he came out of the room again. He glanced at his 'fellow' newbies before he turned his attention to the guard. "Hey. I am starving. I live off of blood and internal organs. I highly doubt I am going to be allowed to hunt so I need to know where I can get my sustenance," he demanded. He was probably going to be given animals to feast on but at this point, he'd eat anything. He just needed to get something into his belly before it threatened to eat him inside out.

Holding her eyes closed throughout most of what Zenner had said to them in the foyer as she listened intently to his words, Safiya faintly nodded in acceptance of his words, as she knew that this would be her home for, likely, the rest of her life, as she continued to hold her hands elegantly down in front of her before reopening her eyes as they were ushered off toward the hallway leading to her room. Walking with very elegant steps as she stared down the extent of the hallway, she attempted to remain stoic, as her parents had taught her, to best serve the household she was to be a slave of, despite her faint fear and heavy discomfort over those slaves that had arrived with her, as she watched the other members of the household pass by before slowing herself to a stop as she saw another noble-looking slave with a blue ribbon upon her arm, her sight of the slave causing her to stare in slight confusion, despite the faint clarification appearing within her, as she attempted to narrow down what the color meant in her mind before turning back to the others, to see that they had gotten far ahead of her, as she sped her steps to hastily follow in order to not be left behind.

Having caught up to the others quite fast as the guard stopped to speak with his superior, she faintly watched the exchange between the two for a moment as she continued to wonder about the cloth on her arm before breaking her thoughts to look off to the children as they approached and one embraced Wyran, her sight of the children actually allowing a smile to grow upon her face, as she loved children, as she watched their seeming excitement over their arrival before letting the smile fade from her face as she looked back ahead to see the guard and the others continue on their way to their rooms. Scanning her eyes from room to room lining the hallway as they walked, she watched as they passed by several rooms on the way to the elevator at the end of the hall as she questioned where, exactly, they were heading before stopping abruptly as the rest of the group stopped around a few of the doors, her eyes locking upon the guard as he began designating rooms before looking off to room 104 as her name was announced.

Stepping closer to her room as every emotion, save for faint curiosity, faded from her mind, she lightly pressed the palm of her hand against the wood of the partially-opened door leading to her room as she stared into the modest room with slight confusion growing in the void of her mind, over how extravagant the room seemed to her compared to her former dwelling, before taking a soft step into the room as she continued to examine it, her sight of the bed causing complete astonishment within her as she recalled her many years sleeping on the cold, stone floor of her parents' dungeon-like basement. Turning away from the room in disbelief, that it was her room, as she heard Azai question food, she watched the guard for a moment as she felt her stomach begin to growl, much like normal when she was starved to keep her form, before waiting to hear his response to the rudely phrased question as she stepped back to the doorway of her room, her confusion over her room causing her to questioningly speak up as well in her foreign accented voice. "Will there be a way for me to speak with Master Kenner or Mistress Chlorra before the night? I... have a few questions for them that I wish to ask in private."

Upon hearing the request of the others Luna decided to make some of her own. "And can I be directed to the library, please?" In the back of her mind Luna wondered if they would even allow a slave into their place of lear- "growlllll", went her stomach, effectively interrupting her thought process. She scrunched her eyebrows in confusion over why she was so hungry when she had just eaten before she had gotten there only hours before? Her ocean blue eyes widened as realization came to her; this was no ordinary hunger, cheese and bread would not satisfy her, only blood, carnage, and misery. She wrapped her small arms around her waist as her head began to heat up and throb harder and harder, signaling that if she did not partake in flesh she would probably be reduced to her most primal form. Most of her kin would consider this a right of passage, thus celebrating it, but she loathed the idea and bite her lip to try and numb the urge. "Actually, nevermind. Just...point...I'll find." She could barely speak at this moment and desperately needed some place quiet to scream and slam her head against a wall, and the sounds of the laughing children from earlier were not helping in the slightest. The thought of someone catching on to her internal struggle made her stand up straight, look the guard in the eye, and repeat what she said before but with her normal confidence. "And if you have any food for me as well, I would really appreciate it as well."

She turned and again examined the others to see if any of them showed signs of knowledge to her struggles, but thankfully if they did then they did not let on. She let out a mental sigh and continued biting her lip to soothe herself as she waited on the guards answer. If he said yes then maybe she could find a section on demons in the library and read up on how to stop the phrase from happening, or at least postpone it. At this point in time another thought popped into her brain- Why did this place, along with it's master, have such an affect on her? Why did it bring out the very part of her that had gone silent for some many years as a child? These questions infuriated her to no end, causing images of spilt blood from the master's throat to invade her mind.

As the four where allowed to get comfortable with their new accommodations, there was a notable shift in the pulse of Raven Home as the last bell sounded for the changed of the hour. Several more groups of individuals come roaming out of their rooms further down the hall and make their way onto whatever aspect of their lives is planned. Several guards come by and make small talk all along with the few already present in the hall, before the whole group begins to switch out and take their watch. Though the chatter is sparse and shared lightly, the whole event of the exchange only takes several short moments. A testament in the most of how well the cogs within this vast house work in unison, not stopping or slowing for long.

The guard there before stays to look after the group and responds to their needs as he calls back, loud enough for the four of them to hear. "Everything is being taken care of and Kenner will have you all fed as well as with all new arrivals." He walks up to Luna's door and knocks before pushing it open. The light from the shaded window running across the rim of his helmet as he leans in and points his gaze at her. "Those facilities are on the upper levels, though your current designation prohibits you from entering." He emphasizes this when he points at the ribbon clipped around her arm. "Though there have been exceptions in the past and you will get your chance when the Master comes to visit later." He nods slightly as the door comes to a close with him on the outside. Only for him to walk down to the next door and give a quick knock, before ducking his head in to peer and Safiya. The Master will be here soon, he is attending to several prior engagements before coming back up." He gives her a small nod as well before backing out of the door and shutting it behind him and taking his place at the neck of the hall, several yards from their rooms.

As Babble still sits on the end of the pier and Chlorra does her best to look him over, more supplies and strange crates are being unloaded before many of the sailors board and pull their moorings to leave. The sound of the waves crashing on the inside of this place is somewhat deafening, were it not for his own resistance to the noise at least. The scope of his "sight" into the whole of the area gave him a rather detailed look of the structure.

The structure itself was on the same level as the sea and raised higher as it went back into the body of building. The whole section of this dock was in fact carved out from inside of the large rock formation that Raven Home rested on, with a vast circular opening heading out into the ocean. Nine piers, with multiple ships sitting moored in dock here. The roof reached several stories high and the room itself reached back back, giving the area a feel as though it were a massive cavern. At the back of the space, there sat several large stacks of cages, ranging from all sizes and the contents were just as varied as well. Many containing animals of both native and exotic species, well maintained and all adding their noise too the cacophony that was this place. Several doors dominated the back wall, embedded in the intricate stone work and in the very center sat the doors of the central elevator.

As Chlorra looked over Babbles form, he detected a vast and sudden change in the world. Something was approaching that did not appear right to him as he was not looking and whatever it was, stifled his aural perception. As if their were a mobile void walking around in the world and everything within it, became unknowable to him and before he knew it, the void had reached him. This forced him to look up and see what was before him, only to be met with the sight of Kenner, looking back at him. Kenner kept a warm smile like he did before with the others and knelt down get closer to the young elemental. However with Kenner close, it was like Babble had stuck his head inside a maelstrom that lacked the wind. His body became enamored with the feeling of physical motion and fluidity. Almost as though he had been dropped in a roiling tank of water, face first.

Chlorra looks up at Kenner, keening her head as if to ask what his opinion is on the new purchase. Kenner on the other hand does not miss a beat and answers. "He is a new addition and though it has been some years since an elemental has graced our halls, he shall be no trouble. Though the lack of hands can possibly be troubling, if in fact he doesn't want a new pair.. or his old ones to be brought back." She nearly claps with a silent joy and hugs Babble across the back, before beginning to release his chains and bindings. Kenner laughs for a moment "You and your attachment to the damaged ones." He leans in and lifts Babbles head with a slight touch of the chin, giving him a more thorough look. "Hmm.. Take him too the atrium and get him something to eat before we find him a place in our family. I would rather he be cleaned up as well, if it is possible.

It was at this point that Babble noticed a sour sound in the voice of Kenner, something was supremely off putting about it. He could tell that the man was not natural like him, or linked to the world like any other kind of elemental. However the idea was hard to place and finding a way to described this feeling was even more difficult.

As if true to his word there was something happening upstairs with the other new arrivals. They could hear distinct sounds outside their doors and it was like a small horde of feet pattering by, with the noise of wheels in tow. This was followed by a quick rapid knock on the doors of Luna, Safiya and Wyran. A small group of people, dressed in white and black clothing. It was most notable to what a traditional maid or butler would look like, save for several differences in their style. They all had a thin shall of white fabric covering their faces, which did lend a strange sense of unease to the event. With faceless individuals clamoring into their rooms and leaving just as quickly. They all worked quickly however to bring in a tray and set it on the side of the bed, leaving with it a small set of silverware. On the dish was a meal with several small strips of cooked pork, if the smell was any indication and two sides. One being mashed potatoes, with a small cup of gravy and what appeared to be steamed beans and carrots. A roll was the last bit to be sat down on the furthest edge of the plate, about half the size of a fist and plump.

Azai's treatment was vastly different however, as two of maids walked in with a box suspended between them. A guard accompanied them as well, though it was difficult to tell if this was the same one from before. They sat the box down and it was then that Azai caught the sight of a tail sticking out from behind one of their dresses, long and thick, covered in fine coat of black fur. As well as having a set of cat like ears that slightly protruded from the sides of her bonnet. She left quickly however, because the two of them were visibly afraid of him. Either from knowledge of what he was, or from seeing the ribbon around his arm. All of the group could see though, that all of these people serving them had a white ribbon tied around their arm.

The guard looked at Azai and nodded before opening the box, he reached in and pulled out a sizable rabbit. In fact it was so large that he needed both hands to heft the creature up and hold it out. "Either way this fella was gonna end up a meal, just put him back in the box when your done and try not to leave it out for the cleaners until your done. The shouldn't have to see something like that, if you don't mind." He sets the rabbit back into its box and sets the lid lightly back on top, before bowing and exiting the room and like that the parade of motion had ended. The sound of feet and wheels podding down the hall becoming ever more faint.

Their need would be taken care of later? Well that meant he didn't need to associate with the guards or the other new 'slaves' that arrived with him. He glanced over the strangers in a similar boat as him and his eyes settled on the woman with the black ribbon. He was still very curious about her and why she sported the same color ribbon. He hadn't see anyone else that they passed with a ribbon like theirs. And she was hungry to. He wanted to investigate but if his own hunger was any indication, this other black ribbon bearer was also famished. He didn't want to tangle with another creature equally as distraught by food. Maybe another time he would investigate his curiosity. For now, he had his own needs to take care of.

Azai slid into his designated room and shut the door behind him. He scanned the room again, trying to decide where he wanted his bed to go. When he finally settled on the right corner, Azai walked over to it and climbed up the wall. He perched easily as he looked down at his wrists to ensure nothing else was blocking the flow of his silk before his practiced fingers rapidly pulled the fine silk. He began to weave his web then. Normally he would have taken his time and secured each little design, but today, he was tired. He just wanted to lay down in comfort. He was just about done when he heard his door. He tensed, eyes narrowed on the movement.

The spider could tell that some of the servants that had entered were terrified of him. He couldn't help the grin and bared his fangs for added affect. He watched as they set down the box before scurrying away. He eyed the box warily then. What was in that? Was this some kind of trap? He hadn't promised to follow the rules of this house so maybe Kenner was doing something to try and force him into submission. The guard then lifted the box top to reveal a rather large rabbit. He head never seen a rabbit that size before. Apparently, said rabbit was to be his dinner. His mouth instantly watered at the prospect of sating his hunger. He hardly listened to the guard as he spoke, so enraptured by the need to eat.

The guard was retreating as Azai eyed the box. The rabbit wasn't going to fall into his web. It hopped about on the ground if he set it free and his web was too high. He'd never... carried anything to his web before. This was strange. Maybe those tarantulas had a good idea of putting webs down on the ground. He shrugged the idea away as he moved off of his web and walked over to the box that contained his meal and lifted the top. The rabbit sniffed the air and just looked up at him. It didn't realize what its fate was to be. Azai picked up the heavy rabbit and walked back to his web before quickly wrapped up the creature in thread to lock it in place. The rabbit tried to resist too late so its efforts were useless. Azai crawled back into the center of his web and bit down on the rabbit, injecting his venom and devouring his meal. When he was done, he simply dropped the dry husk still wrapped neatly in the webbing to the floor. He fixed his web before he finally lay back and was almost instantly asleep. The trying voyage had worn Azai out. He hadn't quite realized just how exhausted he was.

Luna rolled her eyes at the words that the guard used when stating how she could not access the library because of her current status, but inside she was laughing at the very audacity of it all. Her mind and soul was hell bent on getting to the library as quick as possible and nothing was going to get in her way. With a little chuckle she began to pace the room and did not stop until she heard the scurrying of feet but soon thought nothing of it, that is..until her nose began to smell their blood and meat. Instantly her body shuddered and collapsed to the ground as the need to quench her real hunger multiplied ten-fold. Soon the effects of her hunger took a physical toll on her body as her mental restraint weakened. Slowly she rose from off of ground and examined herself in the mirror and was horrified by what she saw. Her eyes and skin were so red that veins were forming all over here like the map to forever land, and her nails had grown two full inches, along with her teeth. However the worst was yet to come as she noticed two very small, but solid, numbs protruding from the base of her skull. They were so tiny that she probably would have never noticed them if she had not been raking her fingers through her hair in frustration over not being able to satisfy her hunger.

Thankfully (sarcasm), the serving girls chose this particular moment to walk in with what appeared to be a meager meal of meat, vegetables, and bread. One look at her and she knew that they were scared, and the thought made her mentally kick herself in the ass. This was not the path to invisibility that she had been hoping for; if she kept this up then everyone would know her and it would be harder to complete her mission. She sucked in her teeth and nodded her thanks to the serving girls as they left before rushing over to devour the pork and potatoes. It was not exactly the kind of meat she was looking for but it would help to soothe her physical hunger at least.

A great sigh erupted from her as she flopped on the soft bed after licking the plate of all its contents and then some, (she would never admit it, but her mouth accidentally bit off parts of the plate itself in her frenzy for the food.) Now in control of herself again, she used her remaining free time to survey her new lodgings in search of a place to hide her valuables without the master knowing. However it soon became apparent that if she wanted a hiding place for her things then she would need to make one herself, and that seemed entirely too messy, so instead she hopped off the bed and cautiously neared the door. Once there she put her ear to it and stood deathly still so as to hear what was going on outside more clearly; and thankfully she was only met with silence. Smiling, she placed her hand on the door and pushed it open just wide enough for her to slip out with a sound and into the empty halls of the corridor in search of the upper level- her devious smile never leaving her face.

After only a few minutes of taking care of her new charge, Chlorra had Babble up off the pier and with her. Walking him into the lift in the back and taking it several floor up, almost passing the main entrance level. During the ride, she paid little attention towards him however. Fussing with the mask that donned her face and tightening the laces in the back, under the tie of her ponytail. Kenner however did not ride with them, moving off on his own for some reason. Leaving her with the directive to take him to the atrium and as the door of the lift opened, he could tell they were there.

The hall stretched out before them and ended in what seemed to be a blinding light that forced him to squint as she lightly pulled him along. The sounds ahead were that of the ocean and the waves pounding against the reef of the rocks below, light was bathing the entire entrance of the hall and as they both cleared, he saw with full glory of the space before him.

The atrium lived up to its name and then some, with vast streatches of grass and flowers pouring out from the edge of the halls entrance. It was a vast circular opening with several hundred yards of lush greenery, pushing back into planted fields and trees of varied size and color. The far end was open and exposed to the air of the ocean, letting in the sound of nature and allowing the ripe full smells to circulate from the rush of flowing air. Several animals could be seen wandering about, rabbits and the such. Those small enough to not be noticed, but be seen if they were to be looked for. The fields broke into small sectioned plots of vegetation that were being tended by several other members of the house. Though they did nothing to show their attentions to those around and continued with their duties.

The ceiling of the atrium was a wonder all its own, though the who of it seemed to be a massive dome that sheltered those contained within from the elements. It was made to look as though it were transparent and the vision of the sky and sun could be gleamed as one looked up.

Chlorra brought Babble with her over to a small circular grotto, set within the edge of the atrium. Letting him take a seat on one of the stone benches nearby as she walked around a small pond within its center. Babble could tell that something was off, the sounds of this place were different all around. Some misplace and some disheveled from one another, like their were all thrown together and the harmony was off somewhat, but at least it was quieter then the place before.

He could see that she to was bare foot like the man before as she walked around on the grass, holding the edge of her dress so it would not get dirty. The grass seemed to lean away from her touch and the fish in the pond would scurry away towards the opposite side, in an attempt to put distance between her and them. She quickly joins him after making one small rotation and sits almost a foot from his side. She turned and began to speak, at that sound of a whisper and rattled on "The master will be with us soon, with several others as well." Babble could not easily tell, but the sound of her voice stung his ears, almost with a painful shirk. Were her voice louder, the thought that the sound of her voice could actually cause physical harm to him came to mind. However she kept it as low and as soft as she possibly could before leaning in and rubbing his cheek. The same feeling from before overtaking his senses. "I hope you get to stay, its been so long since I've met one as hurt as you.. think of the stories you have to share." She brushed his hair to one side slightly as she kept looking him over and it was at this moment Babble realized the sound of even her breath was absent.

"We can tell that your senses will prove to be a problem though, so I think its for the best that Kenner.. make some minor adjustments. We can't have you eavesdropping on some of the other members of the house now can we.." She leans her head over as she peers back at him, the emotionless face making such an interaction somewhat uncomfortable. "Now however, how do you feel?.. and questions rolling around in that head of yours?"

Upstairs, the time had crept by slowly as everyone ate and the guards conversed with one another outside the doors they passed. The smell of food still wafting through the halls of Raven Home and several sounds could be heard that were both familiar and quick to return. Each door a knock was placed and several moment of silence before a maid entered and gathered the trey once more before bowing and leaving. Though strangely, not a soul entered Azai's room to retake his box or the grizzly meal that he left behind in turn.

Not long after however, a guard peered into two of the doors. Looking in on both Luna and Azai both, only to ask they exit and come out into the hall. With little choice in the matter, they were both lead out and the there the vision of Kenner was there to greet them. He himself had poked into Safiya's room and given her a quick notice of his arrival. "I am going to be a little while my dear, why don't you make yourself comfortable, or walk along this floor for a while. It could not hurt to meet some of your new housemates.." He smiled at her before pulling his head out of the door and walking on, with the guards issuing the same direction. They walked in the direction of the large elevator at the end of the hall, the only destination at the end of the floor. Kenner had himself and the two new additions prompted in with him, with the guards leaving them with nary a worry in their words. The ride down was short, but it did give them a short moment to converse.

"I hope the meal was satisfactory, I usually like to have beef on the menu instead of pork.. it sits in the stomach better." He gives a sly smile towards Luna as he says this, as if projecting it at her. "You on the other hand were somewhat of a problem for Kadesh.. she doesn't like to not cook for a member of the house and I believe someone that eats live meals kind of threw her off." The smile was shifted towards Azai then and he even laughed slightly as Kenner turned his head.

The hours in Raven Home were growing closer to the darkest hours, the lights within also began to mirror this as several of the windows began to dim and lamps did so as well. Though in the hour of things, it appeared to be more for the mood of the dim hours then darkening the actual lights. A new guest was entering Raven Home for the first time with aspirations and hope rifling through her mind. The dimming hours had brought with it a dew that lay softly on the nape of her neck as she walked through the archway of the foyer. Two forms standing near the fountain as she walked in and shook a slight chill from her bones.

The first was a man of advanced years, he was dressed in soft greens and other earthen colors. He knelt before a familiar girl with long, straight, blue hair and the same glow as before. He looked over her left arm, which he was rubbing a salve over as he spoke to her. "Well Misha, I see no real change and I do believe that the concoction should let you go outside without incident. Once again I must apologize for not getting the mixture right sooner." The girl smiled back and hummed a happy reply as she leaned in and kissed his cheek before she skipped off as if she were off to school.

The man gave a wry grin before standing, using the edge of the fountain for leverage and that is when he noticed Nadiya. Dusting his knee and walking towards her, he gave her a small greeting. "Hello young miss.. might I ask what your reason for being here is. You don't have the look of a trader or someone willing to purchase.. so I hazard a guess that your here to offer instead?" He looks at her deeply, she can see a trace of remorse in his eyes. The years look to have weighed heavily on his face as the skin is darkly tanned from hours outside, with a large scar running across his left cheek.

This look marked him to be over forty years in age and the air around him sung of herbs and lacquer.

Luna quietly slipped into her room and into her bed only minutes before the creaking of the door alerted her to the presence of the guard; telling her to come out. She sighed in relief over the fact that she had not been caught sneaking out and promptly left her bed to follow him into the hallway, only to be met with the strong, toned back of that dreaded man again. Honestly, why did he keep popping up, but more importantly, why was the spider fellow here? This must have something to do with us both having the same black ribbon on our arm, but why were they getting to them just now? A small sigh escaped her pale lips as her mind wandered to the sight she saw before entering the great library on one of the upper floors. Honestly she had gotten lost many, many times before and was about to give up altogether when BAM, two tall and imposing oak wood doors with intricate symbols of heroes and spells collided directly with her face as one of them opened up for a small child. She quickly peered inside before the doors closed and gasp at the vast array of books stacked on massive shelves that practically reached twenty-five feet into the air; there were even mechanical ladders zooming up and down to help the elderly retrieve books at even the tallest heights, making them seem like mini elevators. She laughed at the thought and moved to open the door but suddenly thought better of it when she realized out much time she had actually spent finding the place, not to mention the time spent trying to get back too. The absence of her presence was probably about to be noticed, if it wasn't already. Nodding her head she quickly turned around and sped walk a little before changing to an all out sprint to get back to her room without being noticed, and thankfully, succeeded.

She felt the motion of everyone else moving, breaking her out of her recollection, and quickly joined them in the elevator and stood in silence, until she heard the tall man asking if the meal was satisfactory. Her eyes turned into icy slits as her demeanor changed to one of annoyance. "The meal was....a tease." She said remembering how the tender beef oh so resembled actual cooked flesh to her tastebuds. The memory did nothing but add to her annoyance of the man....the man....such an odd thing to call him but she had yet to process what his name was. "Might I ask your name?" She said nonchalantly as she looked at his profile from the corner of her eyes, only to confirm what she already knew; tall, rugged yet delicate, fair. Traits she also noticed in the other black ribbon bearer in the elevator with them. He looked just as annoyed as she was, something she found relief in as she turned to face him. "And might I know your name as well?" She thought it best to gain more knowledge of her surroundings here since the trip to the library was not as productive as she would have liked it to be.

Kenner looks on at Luna for a moment as she speaks and he can read the expression crossing her face as if the words were scrolled through in fine ink. He grinned non the less as she chimed on about asking his name, though he knew he had already introduced himself as the master. The though that she may be digging for something began overtaking a corner of his mind. He just allowed her to amble on until the lift stopped on the same level as the atrium. Its doors opening and he looked at her before beckoning the two of them to follow. "I am the master of the house and nothing more. That is how you shall keep me in mind and you shall inquire to me as such in the future. As you will see, there are very few within these walls that even dare call me by my name alone and I hope you remember to stay as focused."

The doors slid all the way from their path and Kenner lead the two of them out into the atrium, letting Luna and Azai see the full splendor of its form before them. Several small animals running as they walked out into the grass and began to make their way towards Chlorra, who was still entertaining Babbles company.

As they approached however, Babble and Luna could both tell that something was off from before. The effects of being around Kenner were somehow lessened and in no way as rapturous as before. Luna could bare to look at him directly now and her body did not react with the same sense of revulsion that it did before. Despite his close proximity to her as they stood by one another in the lift before now. Babble as well could discern the world more clearly despite the effects of being within Kenner range. Though it was still noticeable, though weather or not this lessening in his effects was with effort, or due to being used to it by now was still unseen. Chlorra leaned in beside Babble, the side of her mask caressing the edge of his cheek as she whispered into his ear. An effect that she was all too certain that only he could hear. "The only thing you need to know, is that within these walls. Kenner is the lord and master of all things." She pulled away slowly, running a singular finger through his matted hair as she did.

Kenner finally stopped with his two guest in tow and looked at the three of them with very little pause. "I wanted to speak with you three before making a decision, your very natures are what put your lives in a state of unbalance here. Because I do not like to have those that are dangerous near my more productive family members. Such as a half demon with very little control over her baser nature. Or an arachnid from the deep forest of the far corner of the world and an anchored elemental of all things. The three of you pose a problem, but instead of throwing you into the pits and letting the arena have the lot of you. I intend wish to make the best of the situation."

Nadiya gets a nice glance over the man before he answers her first question. [color-green]"I'm sorry to say young miss, but Master Kenner isn't able to talk at this minute. If I remember correctly, he just got in a few new introduction to the house earlier today."[/color] He answers as he wipes the remaining salve from before on the side of his pants. It remained lightly on the fabric of his clothing, glinting slightly in the light, almost like a very thin form of amber.

He laughs lightly as she ask him of his profession and with a lean to his head and a sly smile he responds. "Yes, I am somewhat a doctor of sorts and I have been known to treat the ills of others. Though my true calling in this world is alchemy and I do have my own place within Raven Home. Oh dear me, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Aemon Davros, at your service." He finished wiping his hand of the strange liquid before giving Nadiya a small bow of his own.

Safiya had not been resting for more then a few minutes, before an uneasy feeling began to come over her. It was not a feeling of illness, but more a feeling that something was going wrong or about to go wrong. As if by instinct she opened her eyes and was greeted with the sight of a young face staring back at her. It was the face of the young pale girl from before and she was kneeling on the foot of the bed, looming over Safiya as if like a statue, perched on the upper edge of a church wall. "Your a strange one, the first I've seen that was on the upper floors to sleep out of their own bed.." The child giggled for a moment as she looked down on Safiya and grinned. Revealing to the young woman that the little girls mouth was home to some rather sharp and monstrous teeth. To add emphasis to the unease of the moment, her lower lip possessed a rather dark, turgid, red stain. A color that was unanimous with only one other thing that Safiya could bring to mind right now.

Intense eyes looked around the strange garden of life as she followed behind the man, remembering what he stated about being regarded as simple the master of the house. HA!, yes she was technically his slave but never in her life would she call him master or lord, the very thought annoyed her. If he refused to give out his real name than she would regard him as 'The Man' from here on out, or at least until she could come across it in some type of record in the Library. It was at this moment that her mind realized that she had stopped surveying the garden in order to stare at his back while they walked, and even stranger was the fact that she felt like her normal self while doing it; no anger, hunger, or disgust had settled in the big of her soul, however she could safely saw that it was completely gone.

While thinking this her mind switched to ultra guard mode as two figures sitting side by side in the distance caught her attention. Instantly she recognized one from earlier in the day when everyone was first introduced to The Man and then given their ribbons. Who was she whispering to.....and where were his hands? Questions flooded her mind but many dispersed as the two figures began to get bigger and bigger as they got closer to them, revealing more features of the unknown fellow; smallish, pale, dark hair.....and strange eyes, as if he saw things that many others were not privy to seeing. She was both comforted but also unsettled by him, and instantly looked at the reactions of the spider boy and The Man to see if they were used to this man or not. Deep in her mind she hoped that she was the only one out of the loop about who he was, that would be equally embarrassing and stressful.

The next thing she knew, her ears were perking up at the sound of The Man talking to the group. Every word that came out of his mouth made her more and more ready for a fight, especially the part of her having little control over her baser nature. "What do you know of my baser nature?" She was honestly curious of what The Man knew, but the words came out with more attitude than she intended for it, making her feel like she was a pouting child, damnit. Instead of trying to apologize and seem defeated she let the question die down as he continued the rest of his speech about throwing them into pits (another laughable cause) and their best situation, which was all making her fed up with the lot of them. There was no situation, or threat; yes she was becoming hungrier than usually but all of this would eventually blow over, it's not like she planned on going around eating people! With a small huff she shifted feet and looked up to cautiously to gaze at the newcomer.

Babble

He listened to her words as though he had a choice which he didn't. The option to keep the silence was long forgone.

"I guess the only question he could of asked has already been answered."

Her voice whispered back in much the same way.

As the two sat in the garden near the pond in the distance he could hear the grinding of the elevator. The voices he could hear over the mechanical cacophony were mostly unknown to him save one. The voice in the not-noise who had spoken to him earlier was coming and bringing friends no less. The noise had not the same potency it previously possessed however. The howl was but a breeze, not deafening but still audible. They walked, all coming into view when they approached him. Babble had yet to look up at them though. He could see little more than their feet.

And so Kenner spoke his piece on what to do with the three of them. Babble listened but not just to his words. He wanted to learn just how his voice worked, a curiosity in and of itself. He would of mulled over the very specifics of it longer were it not for the half-demoness's interruption. Her voice was not even a hundredth as interesting as Kenner's own voice was. He had her voice long before she was even aware of him.

Taken out of his concentration he figured he might as well make some use of the time since he was being spoken at by his new master. Kenner had deemed him a threat? Such accusation was news to him. Babble never recalled hurting anyone, it sounded awful.

Without warning Babble simply fell back, his head falling into the waters of the pond. He didn't need his head to speak and he wanted to look at the world like a fish would. Hearing was one thing, seeing was something he never did much with so this was something new for him. After all the water looked so cool and blue, who wouldn't want to soak their head in it?

"He wouldn't hurt anyone. That is not his choice."

The womanly voice of the half-demoness that Kenner had brought along spoke, the origin of the sound being right behind her head. It not only spoke with her sound but the tone and manners which she had demonstrated thus far carried into it as well. It was as perfect a production of her speech could be. Not that Babble had put much effort into it of course. Listening to such subtle undertones was about as natural for him as breathing water was to a fish. Such curious creatures, fish. The fact they didn't have eyelids was quite a neat fact to him.

The light above him seemed to flow as he looked up through the surface of the pond. The refraction of the light made it seemingly dance in the softly undulating body of water. All this wonder and mystery took his mind far away from the fact that he wasn't holding his breath when he went under. He hardly seemed to care.

The spider was not pleased with any part of this situation. He had been sleeping soundly in his web when the master of the house had rudely forced him out of his room. The entire time he was dragged out, he was hissing up a storm. He was tired and all he wanted to do was sleep. He didn't care who this person thought he was. He was royalty and he wasn't about to just lay down for the man and let him walk all over him. Unfortunately, he did have to listen a bit considering the fact he knew absolutely nothing about this mansion and there was no way off of this island except by ship. He did not like the ship and he knew no one would help him get back to his homeland. He was stuck here. Fine, he'd listen but that didn't mean he was going to take it all quietly. He'd show the bastard he wasn't some weakling he could just push around. He did not respect the man. Respect was earned.

Azai crossed his arms as he glared at the man and gave the briefest glance to the woman beside him. She was the other black ribbon creature. He wondered if they were called out specifically for that reason. Would the man finally describe what the color of their ribbon meant? He had noted that the colored ribbons meant something. Was it some sort of hierarchy? Perhaps all the polite and weak creatures that rolled over for this bastard got different colors to indicate they could easily be used. If that was the case, having a black ribbon was the best option.

He followed the stranger and the woman into the elevator and frowned. What exactly was this thing? He used a knuckle to tap one of the walls in curiosity and tensed when it started to move. He hated that he gave away his unease with this strange moving box by the way he pressed against a corner. He'd never been in anything that moved up and down. The ship had been a rather new experience as well. Moving with this thing did prove to get them to their destination faster but that didn't mean he had to like it. He preferred using his legs and arms to move about. He settled himself and pulled away from the wall and tried to pretend he hadn't had a moment's panic.

That's when he realized the female ribbon was talking, asking his name and the master's name. He was curious to but the man did not provide his name. Figures. He shook his head. There was no way he was ever going to call the man master. He turned to the demon and gave an incline of his head and a fanged smile. "Azai. Pleasure. And I agree. That so called 'meal' was a tease and you know it," he stated and crossed his arms over his chest. It had been something to fill his belly but he still preferred the taste of larger and juicier prey.

And then they reached their destination. Azai looked up and tensed a bit wary. What was on this floor? Where was this man taking them anyway? He had just made that room his. Were they being moved? He walked out of the elevator and let his eyes scan over the area. It looked... lively. It seemed as if they were outside but Azai didn't think it was. Was this a dome of some sort? The plants and scents of other living creatures seemed real enough. Why was everything so pleasant here? He turned his attention to the two sitting down in the grass and narrowed his eyes. What was all of this about? There was something about the male he didn't quite like. He was... off.

The male pretending to be his master spoke up then and he arched an eyebrow. He was trying to decide what to do with them? He didn't want them to fight in the arena? That was a good thing at least since Azai knew his skills would not be useful in a confrontation like that. He was much more suited to setting things up and lying in wait. Luna didn't seem to care so much for this either and he couldn't help but grin. Before he could voice anything, he heard the boy speak up. His eyes widened in surprise. He sounded exactly like Luna. How did he do that? Was he just mimicking her voice? How strange! He wanted to prod him and figure out the source of such an intriguing power but now was not the time. He was a bit unnerved when the man flopped onto his back and rolled and... put his head beneath the water. Yup, he was rather strange. He shrugged it off and turned to the master of the manor.

"I have an idea. Why don't you let us go home?" he questioned then and settled his hands on his hips. "I do have a life you know and I am not going to bow to you. You are not my master and you never will be. What gives you the right to even consider yourself as such?" he questioned then. "You have not proven yourself worthy to me in any way. Back home, you'd be bowing to me."

Luna had been thinking contently about her predicament and was forcefully pulled out of them when her brain thought that it had heard her say something. The voice that sounded like her seemed to be speaking from directly behind her and the hairs on the back of her neck instantly stood at attentions. Turning around she saw no one and the faces of the other three either looked puzzled or like they simple didn't care. That left only the strange one with his head in the water like a blubbering fish. "Intriguing parlor trick" she said with a simple flick of her ash white hair as she lowered her eyes to the ground to try and mask the huge amount of discomfort that she felt. Such a skill couldn't cause her much physical damage, but deep down she knew that such a skill could cause a lot of problems if he decided to use her voice to get her into any other trouble with the Man. The very thought sent weird raised humps of skin on her arms and legs; goosebumps is what she thought the humans called them. Her slender arms crossed themselves over her chest and she took steps back from the handless creature, staring at him intently as he played around in the water.

Her staring only stopped when she heard of the voice of the male beside her make a joke about how The Man should take them all home. A chuckle escaped her lips as she remembered the name he had given her on the elevator; Azai. She liked the sound of it and found that it fit him well, spicy and elegant all at the same time without even trying. However she did not let the comedic moment pass by without noting the key detail that he has just dropped on them. He had not come here willingly and was regarded as royalty back in his homeland. Internally she felt a sense of relief in knowing that everyone here was not after the same goal such as herself. Feeling better she continued to chuckle and turned to The Man to see what his reaction would be to the confident young man with her.

Kenner stared on at the two as Luna voiced her disregard for what he said about her and he smirked back. She was only half blooded and most likely didn't know the problems that would come with her maturity, or she did and didn't care. He did return her concern non the less "I would believe that you already know what I mean.. Having those quiet and rather horrible thoughts running around your head most of the day and those.. cravings can be a rather bothersome thing." He smiled on as Chlorra chuckled under her breath, the very sound kicking up ripples in the small pond that now housed Babbles head. He heard them come through only slightly distorted and could swear, more then one voice was housed within.

He circled the two as they stood there and allowed Chlorra to retrieve the her new friend from his watery confines, lightly lifting him from the pond with her hands and setting him back to his seated position. He could tell, with the ease that she handled his frame that breaking him, would be an equally easy measure for her. Azai was quick to spit his tongue at Kenner and disregard his own surroundings. It was simple enough to understand why he was so angry with Kenner and the tone of his voice was simply a punctuation. Though the snide remark of Kenner bowing did provoke an ire from the pale man, so much so that the air stood still for a moment as if waiting to breath on the head of a pin, as he stared off past the barrier and into the ocean.

Kenner ran a hand through his hair as he looked back at Azai, his eyes settled and the same lite smile that he held before as he walked down that stair in their presence for the very first time. He gave Azai a simple remark that would answer his question "Had you the strength to protest this, you wouldn't have been sold into my care in the first place." It was at this moment that Azai could distinctly tell something was amiss. The warmth of the setting sun was being replaced by something and in only a moment, he discovered that the ribbon clasped around his arm was slowly becoming hotter.

"However, if you want to be that disobedient towards my rules, despite giving you food, a warm place to sleep and offering the care of my household. I could send you down below with the more disagreeable of my charges and see how you enjoy their company." He walked up towards Azai, flatly laying out this ultimatum for the young arachnid to ponder. Reaching out to take Azai's arm in his hand, the young man found his ability to withdraw the limb retarded for some reason. As if something were holding his resistance in place and to his surprise, the touch only served to heighten the heat felt from the ribbon on his arm. "This mark, places you as one of my family that is more dangerous towards the others of the house. No doubt a design of your heritage and of the possible harm you represent towards the others. You may even of seen the same measure of fear in the others before now, as simple symptom of you wearing this. He releases Azai and just like that the heat, which was nearly unbearable just stopped, ceasing all notion of even being noticeable.

Kenner looks the three of them over as he wrings his hands together slightly, as if pondering a solution to his current problem. "My predicament stands at threefold, with the duties I must amuse myself. A half demon child, barely old enough to grow her own horns. A young arachnid from the far eastern fringe, with all the pomp and circumstance that follows his station and not to mention my newest acquisition. An elemental of some damaged trappings, already contained in his own physical shell." He passes his way over towards Babble, as if to show him to the others and handles the misused elemental's arms for a moment. A touch that brings extreme bouts of physical sensations into Babbles arms, almost as though he could feel his hands on the other side once again.

"I wish to know your skills and what it is that you all will aspire to while here, so that I may better place you within my house. Because if not.. then its down below with the lot of you."

The young child like figure sat further out on the edge of the bed, using a thumb to wipe away the red stain on her lips. She looked on at Safiya, with a clam and loving smile on her freshly cleaned face. "There is no need to treat yourself like that here, because everyone wants a better life and here they can have it." She slipped herself off the side of the bed and approached the kneeling girl as she eyed her over for a quick moment. Only to suddenly reach out and latch her small hand only the bottom of Safiya's jaw, holding her head in place and inspecting her like a recent purchase.

"Parents can be so strange these days can't they?
When I was locked into a box, it was because my parents were just cruel and monstrous. However yours just thought they were doing you a favor."
Safiya could tell the little girl was spotting all the small marks and tell tale signs of her upbringing as easily as one would read a map. Only for the girl to release her just as quickly as she was grabbed. "My name is Misha Balaur'bâr." She gave Safiya a small flourish of her dress to emphasis her greeting.

Aemon looked at the young woman before him and could tell that the fact she missed Kenner was concerning her, almost alarmingly so. He gave her an apologetic look as he waved his hands slightly at her to get her attention focused. "Not a problem little miss, at this time the Master is usually up with any of the new additions of the house. His attention will not be kept for the whole time and I am sure he will be back here to greet you.. in fact." Aemon motions for one of the guards standing post and as the armored man looks back, a quick physical message is transacted between the two. In fact, it was just a normal hand signal that anyone could use or know, but the subtlety was rather quaint.

"There, now while the guardsmen sends word for Kenner to return. Why don't you tell me your reason for being here, not like a young woman like yourself to just send herself into a place like this. Especially with how the rest of of the kingdom is set to view us at the moment." Aemon slightly showed his age at the moment, remembering his own time when the kingdom actually had a king to speak of.

Azai watched as the 'master' looked towards him. He wondered how the man was going to respond to his insinuation. His words were true. Okay maybe he gave a white lie. He wasn't royalty, but he was close enough. He was a high ranking nobility and he was friends with the ruling family. Regardless, he was still used to giving orders, not receiving them. And here came this person, naked, without a single mark on him and he had the audacity to try and make him kneel. He knew nothing of this man or his 'powers' if he even had any. For all he knew he was just a regular human pretending he had all these abilities. Humans did that often and they thought they were above all of the other creature which simply wasn't true.

The man circled him and the demon and then he spoke while maintaining that sickening smile. Azai's eyes twitched in annoyance. Kenner was right after all. He didn't have the power to escape this place. He frowned as the surroundings began to dim... there was something wrong. His senses were going hay-wire in warning. The air seemed to grow still and the sun's warmth was fading. How was the sun's heat fading? It was not night. Then he felt the heat on his arm and looked down to the ribbon. He tilted his head at first confused but the ribbon only grew in heat. Azai reached to his arm and gripped the ribbon and tried to pull away the burning thing but it remained where it was placed. Then Kenner grabbed his arm and Azai felt frozen. He couldn't move! What was this stranger doing to him? Azai cried out lightly unintentionally as the heat increased. He was sure that if this continued, the man would burn his arm off. Unbidden tears collected in his eyes from the pain.

Then it was gone.

Kenner pulled away and the heat vanished like it was never there. Azai gave a light hiss in defense as he put a couple steps of distance between the two of them. Azai glowered at the man like a pouting child who had just received punishment but was unwilling to bow his head just yet. Even his bottom lip extended in grudge. Sure the burning hurt but it would take more than that before Kenner had his respect. Azai was a teenager after all and he was a rebellious thing; one that always pushed limits and danced that line of risk taking.

And as the man had mentioned, he had noticed the fear in the other servants and he had relished in their fear. It meant they wouldn't approach him without caution and he wasn't interested in playing nursemaid to a bunch of strangers. Right now he was preferring his solitude. He didn't want their fear to change. He liked creeping people out and popping up out of nowhere to make them gasp in fright it was fun.

When the man turned his gaze away from him, Azai looked down at the ribbon. He couldn't move it and see the damage it caused and there was still a residual ache there. He glanced up at the man before he pulled his arm closer and did his best to lick at the edge of the ribbon to try and ease the burn but the ribbon was in a position that made it a bit difficult to reach. After a couple of licks, he gave up trying to wet it and turned his attention back to the man and the strange creature that was dragged out of the water. Kenner mentioned something about an elemental but he didn't quite know what that meant. He to wondered what powers that creature had.

Then the man asked what their abilities were and what they wanted to accomplish while here. Azai didn't know how to answer really. He didn't want to give him all of his information but he also really didn't want to go to the arena. He would not survive that no matter how much he wanted to pat himself on the back and boast about himself. He didn't want to test the man too much at this moment. His place here was obviously precarious in this situation with that threat looming.

Azai crossed his arms just to be a little defiant though it got him nowhere. "I don't know what I want from my time here," he answered. "I haven't given that thought. I was much more concerned with eating and sleeping." He would have left it there but maybe if he had a 'place' here, he could find a better way to get out of this place and not have to glance over his shoulder wondering if he was heading to the arena next. "...I weave webs," he sighed then. "I like to use the webs to decorate places and can make various designs with the thread. My webs are sturdy and can catch most people in the sticky silk if one would rush towards it. I can walk on the walls and ceilings and can be stealthy. And I have venom." There. He answered the man's questions though he hated every sentence that came out of his mouth. He didn't know where Kenner could place him. Here, none of his abilities seemed all that useful.
