"Dance with me"

Arturo had to take a second glance at Rain as she asked him to dance with her. " Miss?" He had to asked in disbelief, she had never asked him to do something that personal and close before. Of course he had to do whatever she asked ( even if he had no knowledge of it ever happening) but she didn't ask him that often to do personal things for her. She had other servants for that, even then there was not a lot of servants around.

The statement rolled around in his mind for a while before he nodded bowing again " As you wish Miss Starling" he held his hand out as the band began to strike up a slow dance. Arturo hoped that he remembered how to dance he hadn't really danced much. He vaguely remembered dancing with his family but the memory was hazy, in fact it hurt to remember.

He looked confused and this amused Rain. Arturo being as handsome as he was would send whispers through the crowd. The kind of whispers, Rain adored.
Yes, Dance with me.. she repeated before he took her hand leading her out onto the dance floor. She placed his arm around her waist realizing that he needed reminded. She giggled. Maybe I wiped too much of his memory... she thought as they began to sway with the slow ballad.
The woman in the emerald dress was hitting the highest notes with ease as she lulled them with her tale of love and loss. Other duos were heading to the dance floor now. The ballroom floor swirled with gorgeous gowns and sharp suits.
Rain's lips were numb from the drinks, making it hard to realize that she was beaming as they danced. She looked up at Arturo and melted her face into his shoulder. She breathed in his scent; the metallic smell of blood and the ruggedness of his cologne.
Do you like it here, Arturo? she blindly asked him.

Pippa chuckled as she saw her friend dancing, she wanted in on the fun. The mischief vampire then scanned the crowd before dancing over to an older gentleman, human to be exact. Who had been all alone watching the others dance. She extended her hand out to him, much as most men would do to the woman. He could only laugh at their girls jokes as he took her hand and swayed her around in the ballroom.

She couldn't help but laugh as he dipped her, he was quite the dancer after all. Some men and women in the crowd laughed, others cringed in despite of the old fellow, saying he'd be my next victim. Although even Pippa wouldn't want to admit it, But she would never feed or hurt someone who couldn't protect themselves. As they swayed across the ballroom she hummed the sweet melody, the quirk in her lip never wandering.

He lead slowly as the pair walked into the center of the ballroom, she took her hand and wrapped it around his waist. He could feel his breath hitch as she guided him through the steps, he felt Rain's head rest against his shoulder, close to his neck so he could feel her delicate breath trace along his skin.

He kept his back straight and followed through on every step, obedient as ever. He held Rain close to him, looking down at her as she spoke to him.

"Do you like it here, Arturo?"

" yes Miss, I really do. I'm very grateful to you for everything you've done for me. Taking me in, putting a roof over my head and clothes on my back. Not to mention giving me a job here protecting you, which I enjoy" he explained. "Do you feel I have slipped in my duties? I hope I haven't disappointed you in anyway. Apart from my dancing" Arturo added he smiled again spinning Rain around he brought her close to him again, dipping her down low burying his face into her shoulder purring softly. Bringing her back up straight he swayed with her again.

Dani blushed very slightly as Clade accepted her proposal for a dance. She looked to Adam for his response to the young man. He did not seem either amused or bothered. "I'll take your offer to let me kill you if something happens to her as a promise that nothing will," he said, keeping his tome polite and slightly joking.

Dani was ready to go straight to the dance floor when Adam added,"I'm looking forward to joining you afterward." With those final words, Dani grabbed Clade by the hand and led him to the dance floor. Her pace was no hurried. It did not feel appropriate for the event.

While Dani was off with Clade, Adam decided to walk around a little more to see what he could figure out. Everyone there appeared to be of the upper class. Dani and Adam were considered upper-middle class. Not quite in the upper class, but not fully stuck in the middle either. Another thing Adam noticed was that the majority were vampires, sipping on blood wine. She said she would explain everything soon...

Pippa fell back and let another lady have a turn with dancing with the charming old man. Then walking off the dance floor, the sound of whispers and gossip directed towards her was like music to her ear!

The vampire smirked viciously at any one who dare to utter her name in a wrongful tone. Her chin held up high and her shoulders leaned back, each step making her hips sway. You could tell she held herself in high praise. Pippa swept along the backrows of people in the ballroom. Hoping to find someone interesting to bump into.

The music could already be heard down the dark front pathway leading to the most elegant front entrance, Elsie ever did see. The simple moonlight reflected quite lovely off the silver beads of her black bosley fringed dress, as she strutted along in her black satin kitten heels, with just enough rhinestone bling. Stopping a moment to pull a compact out of her handbag, it was a must to make sure her makeup was still at the peak of perfection. High dark brows, check. Heavily lined smoky eyes, check. efine your eyebrows dramatically with a dark eyebrow pencil, lots of kohl eyeliner around the eyes and steely grey eyeshadow. Dark red drawn rosebud lips, check. Satisfied she dropped the compact back into her bag, after giving her pinned bob a small pat. More confidence to her shapely stride, she finished her trek to the front doors hoping she hadn't missed out on too much fun. She thought it odd that the hostess didn't have her servants out greeting her guest as they arrived, but this was whole different culture...She rapped lightly on the door and waited to be let in.
