A P P E A R A N C E || Noah is tall and slender. In fact, a lot about him is long and thin. This face and his fingers included. He has medium length dark brown hair that curls slightly depending on the day and how he chooses to style it. He typically likes to wear it as it but does actually style it when the occasion arises. He just doesn't put much effort in otherwise. He has a soft, open expression. It's easy to tell how he feels or what he's thinking because it's written on his face. His smiles are soft as well. To get a real smile from him is rare. He typically wears dark clothing and sticks to t-shirts and jeans. He wears whatever shoes are comfortable and often wears jackets considering it's cold and rainy where he lives. He doesn't have any scars, tattoos, or piercings. He's not a big fan of pain.

-- Necromancy | | the ability to raise and control those who have already passed from this world. Anubis insists that Noah can do this, but he doesn't attempt the ability. Freaks him out too much.
-- Teleportation | | the ability to jump through space to get from one point to the next in an instant. Noah's practiced this one a few times in short bursts.

-- Gardening: for someone who is inhabited by the god of death, Noah is fairly good at keeping things alive in his garden. Things do die from time to time. It's just the circle of life, but for the most part, things are blooming [when in season] and delicious. He's got a green thumb.
-- Photography: There's something poetic about Noah's photography. A lot of what he does is in black in white. He likes to play with shadows and lighting and show another side to the bright colored world we know. "Things don't have to be colorful to be beautiful or insightful. There's a lot you can see when you play with the shadows."
-- Memory: Noah has a strong memory. Maybe not all the way to photographic, but pretty darn close. He scores high in most games involving memory and he remembers most things he's read or seen. Probably why he seems so haunted sometimes.
W E A K N E S S E S ||
-- Anxiety: Noah's anxiety rears its ugly head every so often. It usually in situations that pertain to large groups. Or his fears. Or potentially forgetting to bring something even with his memory. He's working on it. Slowly.
-- Lying: Because Noah is so honest, he's a terrible liar. Most of the time he just opts to tell the truth.
-- Stage fright: Noah is a skilled singer. In fact, he sings to his plants to help them grow up big and strong, but he doesn't like to sing for other people. He feels he'll be judged too harshly by others. Or worse, they'll say he's a terrible singer. It'll make him stop singing and it's not something he wants to do. It connects him to his grandmother who used to sing with him every day as a child.
Because of Noah's quiet nature, he's able to be observant and perceptive. He stands in the back or off to the side not only because he's anxious about large groups of people, but also because it gives him a vantage point. It keeps him from being caught unaware. It also makes him a great listener as well. Not overly perceptive. He can't hear beyond the scope of the human hearing, but he still has pretty good hearing.
You wouldn't always guess it, but Noah's clever. He's really good at improvization and, oddly enough, taking a leadership role in times of crisis. He's not always great at planning things out but when he's got the focus and drive at the last minute, he does excellent work. Pretty much how he made it through school. It makes gardening a little more difficult, but that's where the improvising comes in.
Because of his anxiety and his dislike of most situations... he's obtained a level of caution. He doesn't trust easily, he doesn't enter a building without noting the possible exits, etc.
Noah is an honest person. He was taught at a young age that it wasn't right to lie. As he grew up, he found that lying created a web that could tangle you if you did it too much. So, he prefers to tell the truth. Sometimes he tells half-truths to spare feelings. Other times he's brutally honest. He'd rather tell you the truth than lie to you.
For as long as anyone has known Noah, they know that he's shy. He's awful at talking to others. Especially when they're strangers or when it's about him. He doesn't typically speak to others he doesn't know, although he is trying to improve this because as an adult its difficult to go through life without asking questions. Doesn't help his anxiety though. He's easily embarrassed and doesn't like when people give him too much attention.

Noah was born to Jessabelle Maurice and Mark Jackson in Seattle. His parents were high school sweethearts who ended up being anything but sweet on each other. His father had already graduated, but his mother was a senior when he was born. At first, the couple was happy and excited to have a child together. They got married, moved in together, and readied for their life as a family. After his birth, his father started to work longer hours than he was used to and the stress of it was getting to him. He started drinking which took up a lot of their income. They lived in hovel after hovel. Mark eventually started to take his anger at his new life on his family. His abuse towards Jessabelle turned to abuse towards him. Eventually, it came from both his parents. They would insult him, belittle him, and "punish" him. To the point where he has scars from beatings and cigarettes in hidden places on his body.
One night, after a long shift at work, Mark was in a mood. He and Jessabelle got into an argument that escalated... into a murder-suicide. Noah was seven by this point and he saw the whole thing from his bedroom. At first, he didn't know what to do. He just stared at them. Then, eventually, he called the police. He knew that when something bad happened, call 9-1-1.
After this, he was placed with his maternal grandmother. The woman despised Noah's father, but as soon as she saw Noah, she saw her little girl in him. She saw a grandson worth loving. Of course, by this point, Noah had been told he was worthless. That nothing he did mattered. This broke his grandmother's heart. Slowly, she began to work with him. She began to heal the wounds his parents left on his heart. She taught him silly songs, educational songs [think house of rock], and beautiful songs. Beautiful because he had a talent for singing. She also taught him how to garden and documented much of his life with her film camera. Both influenced his love for the hobbies now.
Brenda, his grandmother, lived until a few months after his eighteenth birthday. She had complications with her that eventually caused it to give out on her. Noah was absolutely heartbroken. She left him everything he had so now he takes care of her house and her garden. He goes to a community college not far from the house for horticulture. He eventually wants to make a difference in the environment, but right now its just basic horticulture. Once he knows where he wants to go with the skill, he'll pick a more advanced major. He has the intelligence for it and, thanks to the love of his grandmother, he believes that he could potentially be good at it.
The fact that he has a god of death in his head is definitely not going to make anything easier.
