Silver awoke at the ring of the bell, which neither startled nor pleased her. She reached out for Nitha, and was surprised, and slightly panicked, to find her not there as her slender fingers closed around nothing but air. She sat up and looked around for her companion, seeing her a little ways away on the floor, and relaxed. Nitha made her way back to the warmer where Silver still sat, and Silver smiled at her warmly, leaning her head on her in a gesture which simply said, I'm glad you're here. The sound of footsteps announced the entrance of the master, but Silver did not shrink back fearfully, keeping her gaze fixed on him as he spoke. He left again promptly, and Silver's ears perked up as a humming surrounded them, not unpleasant, but she yearned to find the source.
Women began to enter, simply and neatly dressed, and the items they carried made their intentions clear. As for the source of the humming which puzzled her so? The women were making it. Unlike the other slaves, Silver did not resist in the slightest, though she was already substantially cleaner than most of the rest due to her improvised bath in the fountain the previous evening. As the women brushed and cleaned her, Silver leaned into them, nuzzling their fingers affectionately, calmed and pleased by their gentle touch, in that moment docile and affectionate as a kitten. She began to hum softly herself, closing her eyes, utterly relaxed. She heard the commotion caused by some of her companions and shook her head, wondering what all their fuss was about. The women began to work through her long hair, picking through the tangles, careful not to tug too hard.
Why am I being treated like this? Cleaned? she wondered. Going to be sold, I expect... Want me to look my best. Silver sighed but didn't let this thought deter her from enjoying her moment of luxury.

Kenner

Kenner looked on across the table and Kaede as he spoke, knowing full well that he was talking about and was at first surprised that he was considering the other Masters supposed feelings and needs. But it was the mention that Kaede had certain needs and expectations for the slaves he hopes to take with him.
Smiling slightly as he leans into the table.."I can understand you needs and the attempt that you will be making with your family.. such privilege comes with its own dangers." He begins to lift a small cup to his mouth and pauses "And please refrain from calling me Lord Kenner.. I hate that title and my name suits just fine by itself." He continues to finish his drink

Afterwards he eats another date and speaks again. "The training can take up to a month and a half at least, at most two. We keep them here along with their intended master so the two can get more acquainted.. your treatment of them will be paramount however." As he speaks a female guard walks in walking silently and cautiously, she leans in and places her mouth to Kenner's ear. He in turn leans his head into hers as if he was expecting her to be there and she passes a message to him.
He rubs his hands together as she pulls away and moves back out the main door, closing it behind her.
"Well.. everything is going fine for now, our little wolf-kin is still fighting slightly but that is his nature. Soon the additions will receive breakfast and then the day can start in earnest." He continues to eat as Kaede does as well and he looks back up for the table with the need to clarify something to the young noble. "Kaede I feel I need to inform you that I knew your grandfather and his father as well, so if you even intend to waste my time.. all I have to do is wait you out." He says so with a strange smile on his face and then continues "But as for the treatment of your purchase, whatever happens to them after you leave Raven Loft is your responsibility however.. anything negative that reaches my ears will look badly on the owner."

* * * *

With the maidens now done with their duties they quickly and cleanly gathered up their things and began to leave the holding area, still humming the same low and delightful tune that preceded them. The other however that came with them stood still near the center of the room, she was content to look on as the morning routine came to a fold with the slaves. Even so the smell of a meal was begin to wash into the large room with the preceding of the air that moved throughout the building. It was the kitchen staff again and this time there was a different set of individuals that came before. Most likely a cause to the staff being switched out due to a shift change.
The carried plates of soup and eggs much of which was scrambled with a covering of cheese, the meal itself was meant to be hearty so it would fill them up and keep them going. The flavor was only to come in at second since feeding them was a priority. The woman looked on still and gave a switch of her stance towards Bloodsong, his thrashing had caught her attention and she took a step towards him. "All bathed off now.. isn't that a nice feeling?" He voice cut the air and there as a sense of unevenness to it, like it was spiced and laid across the edge of a blade.
She turned to look across the whole group and began to speak again."I am Lady Bella.. when the time comes I will train you in the finer aspects of a servants service to their master and I will also instruct you in the manners of class and status." Though her eyes are not visible or the fact that she has any could be known, her head stays pointed at Bloodsong.."But I can see why Master Kenner had his reservations."

She raises her hands and claps them together then continues to wring her hands.."Now are there any questions or.. concerns either of you would like to voice?"

Kenne

Several minutes passed as Bella watched the other slaves in their moment, they ate the breakfast that was given to them aside from Nitha who did not seem to like the taste of her meal. She looked at Nitha and leaned her head to the side as she approached.. "You should eat.. you have no idea where this day may take you." She spoke out to Nitha with the same craned edge in her smile. She could also hear the two others Nix, and Quinn conversing on the side of her perception.

But that was not the only sound that could be heard, it was like a distant rumble that was working its way through the building. Everyone could hear in and whatever was making the noise was angered. It was coming from the master hall but getting closer and at that realization Bella turned her body from Nitha keeping her attention square on the guards at the main door. They also had a strange look on them, each one getting tense and straightening their stance as if something was about to happen.
Then something did happen..
The sound was an argument being held between the recognizable voice of Kenner and a woman with a soft but soured voice. The main gate swung wide as Kenner made his way into the holding cell and his expression told entirely that he was getting agitated at what was transpiring. Then the conversation hit the room with the woman speaking first.. "I still don't care what you think you have to say to me Kenner but at the end of this all your prisoners will be set free, do you understand me?" The woman behind Kenner was shorter and fairer in skin then most, her features were actually quite exotic as she pointed her long thin fingers at the back of his head. She had dark brown shoulder length hair and almond shaped eyes with an equally brown texture.

Her lips were full and her cheekbones were high, her face would actually look quite beautiful were it not tortured with her expression of anger towards Kenner.

Kenner turns on the balls of his heels and faces her quickly speaking up on his case.."I do understand Miss Shia, you are not smart enough to understand that no matter what law you claim on me or my house it will do no good. Raven Loft is not considered a true section of Thaiden so its laws do not apply here.. it has been this way since before you took your station." He pokes her in the center on her chest right below her collar and looks her dead in the face.
"Now leave, before I have the guard force you out.. I have lost my patience for you today." The woman Shia's face goes stern for a moment and she gives him a glowering stare before responding.
"Alright Kenner.. I will go, but when I come back you will be sorry and your house will pay for its atrocities." She turns to leave, passing by several of the guards in a huffed anger. Kenner takes a moment to calm himself as his face is away from the slaves and turns to smile once again at the whole of them.

"Well.. I hope everyone's night was fine."

Nitha looked up, inexplicably guilty at having been spotted neglecting part of her meal. The soup wasn't bad, she had sucked that down quite quickly. But the other, yellow stuff.... part of it she recognised as egg, which was fine. Naga loved eggs like children loved sweets. But the stringy stuff on top was another matter. Nitha had never come across it and she didn't like it at all. But the woman's words made her uneasy as she ducked her head and picked out the egg from under the other stuff. Where this day may take you... What if she lost her little friend?

Just then she felt vibrations and heard shouting and Nitha abandoned her food entirely, moving to coil in front of Silver, cold floor be damned. Nitha was feeling more and more agitated when the source entered, a little human female arguing with Kenner. At that moment Nitha behave in a most uncharacteristic manner, rearing up high and now more than able to stare down at Kenner. Third eyelids closed, she stared down at the loud and angry woman, nostrils flared and the corners of her mouth drawn directly back. All were signs that should she push it, Nitha would crush her head like an egg.

After the woman stormed out, Nitha shrank back down, cuddling Silver with a glowering scowl. If they were free.... She'd lose her friend, and while Silver and the others might have a home to return to outside of this place, Nitha did not. She was alone, far away, and in a land she wasn't built for. She might not even survive the first village she came across, or her first night outside.

Silver ate until she was content, and lay back with Nitha, comfortable and relaxed. She heard a commotion, and was quite taken aback at the sudden entrance of the Master and a rather striking woman; Silver kept her eyes on the woman, who was speaking very loudly and angrily, about freeing prisoners....
Silver's ears perked up at the very thought of freedom. Though it was something she can long since convinced herself would never happen, that didn't mean the concept itself wasn't still of the utmost importance. Silver admired the woman's fiery spirit, but she felt Nitha growing more and more agitated, coiling around her protectively. Suddenly Nitha rose to her full height, appearing positively alarming in that moment, clearly angered, but she soon calmed down a bit and settled back down with Silver, though Silver could still feel the tension radiating from every inch of the naga's body. Silver softly and gently soothed her, first mentally relieving her stress and displeasure, leaving behind a cool calm, and then physically easing her as well, leaving the naga reasonably relaxed. Silver felt it was the least she owed her friend.
The Master remained in the room. Perhaps it was the talk of freedom or the woman's display of fiery spirit, but Silver felt herself getting to her feet and approaching him confidently, an action very uncharacteristic when compared to the past days, when she had kept entirely to herself. Direct confrontation wasn't usually her style, but she felt she may never get the chance again to make herself heard, and seized it. Her manner was respectful and collected as she approached him, and she bowed slightly, though every fiber of her being displayed that she was not afraid in the slightest.
"If you please," she began, her voice pleasant, and also somewhat alluring. "I wish to be told what the plans are for our future. Who are we to serve, and if we are not to serve, what are we here for? These things I respectfully ask to know; I recognize that you may withhold such information as you see fit. Thank you." Silver retreated back several paces towards Nitha, awaiting his response, her head tilted slightly to the side.

Kenner

Kenner stood there scratching the side of his face, the look of irritation passing as he could hear the footsteps of the woman Shia leaving and for what he was hoping was the last time in a long while.
Bella approaches him and lays a hand on his shoulder.."I hope that's the last we see of that fanatic for a while.." Kenner on the other hand moves to rubbing his temples and slightly drops his head with a soft grumble in his voice.
"I doubt it, she has proven to be a pest in the past and an even more liable problem as well.. and to think I thought I got enough of her kind during the crusades."

His head lifts as he hears soft footsteps approaching and he connects his gaze with the little girl Silver, who stands before him with a slight gate in her step. The look of uncertainty is painted on her face as she stares back at Kenner while Bella steps away to speak with one of the guards who is standing watch at the gate.

Though she was nervous she did not have a sense of withdrawal in her form and she formally asked him of what the intentions for her and the others was. Her words were sweet and mostly refined despite the current state of things and she gave off more of a calm aura as she worded her question very respectfully.
Stepping back after she asked Kenner her question he looked on at her and smiled.
It was good that she felt comfortable enough to ask such a question of him so openly and he did regard the fact that she was so proper very highly.

He reached forward and laid a hand on her head keeping his soft smile all the while.."Do not worry.. I have nothing but the best intentions for you and the best of wishes.." He rubbed her head as he said this doing his best to set her tense body at ease. He could tell now more then before that there was something "extra special" about her, either something about her mind or body it was obvious that this would have to be focused on at a later time.
"I intend to find a master that would compliment you and one that would be the best of choices for your future." Reaching into his sleeve Kenner produces something, a small blue strip of fabric that he held out towards Silver's neck. He was slow and calm in his movements not making her nervous in his intentions and quickly the strip fuzed around her neck to form a collar.

Its fabric did not pinch and it was lightly bound around her flesh as to not cause discomfort.
"There you go, now you can start upon a path."
The clacking of heels could be heard approaching and soon Peeshka in her new outfit entered the holding area, she had Roldan in tow and a small wedge of papers in her hand. Passing by Kenner, it seemed that her and Roldan were taking a type of rolling check of the other slaves in the room. Every few steps she would set several strikes on the paper with Roldan giving his own visual inspection that would only end with him sharing small words with her.

Kenner made his way to Quinn as the two passed by her, she was sitting on the edge of the fountain with a look of daydreaming on her face. One hand lightly touching the top of the water and her fingers skimming around treading little water.
He gave her a second to look at him before he smiled, it was the collar around her neck that told him Bella passed on his (Gift) to Quinn... "I can see that you got my small gift.. I hope you are ready to start such a beautiful day." He looked back over his shoulders and could see that Bella had entered the room once again, only to look back at Quinn.
"I hope Lady Bella didn't throw you off for the day, her appearance can be somewhat unsettling for some.. even more so then Peeshka's. But then again you and I are not so dissuaded from the norm of things."

Lady Bella moved to situate herself in front of Nix keeping her head strait on the young were-hyena's body and though her head had no eyes there was an unnerving sense of being watched with this intent of her invisible gaze. She leaned in on Nix and the sound her her sniffing the air could be heard as her nostrils pulled air in through her mask.. "Should I bring my maidens back?.. you seem to still have the smell of blood on you and in fact.. its. Kenners.." She leans deeper in and smiles "Ahh so your the one who took a bite out of him.. so? How was that experience?"
Her mouth lolled open with a slight smile and Nix could see that past the first few teeth in her mouth, the woman's jaws ran deeper into her face as if they didn't have a foreseeable back and the majority of her teeth had finely sharp edges. She also possessed a leathery pale tongue that danced against the back of her teeth behind her smile.

Roldan and Peeshka stopped when they reached Nitha and Silver, the black dressed warden looked on at the two girls keeping such a close proximity to one another and her head tilted to the side.
Her partner for the time Roldan took his time to look over Nitha, mainly because it had been some time since he had to inspect one of her kind and the fact that he still found them highly fascinating. She was looking well after her body was treated with the aid of the maidens and he moved around her body to take in the whole of her mass. She was looking more healthy with some meat on her bones, thanks to her metabolism her body would deal with ingested meals quickly turning it into protein and fat stores.

"Got a friend now have you?" He asked as she moved somewhat to lightly shield Silver as he moved around. Peeshka looked at Persephone on the other hand and held out a long thin finger, beckoning the young girl to step towards her.

Nitha observed Silver closely, somewhat aware that the human was displaying proper behaviour before an elder. It was a lot of words, and some of them seemed defunct. She didn't see why Silver needed to use quite so many words, and wondered if that was being polite. Usually Nitha would consider it more polite to be as concise as possible so as not to waste the elder's time. It seemed she had much to learn of human etiquette and would need to pay close attention to Lady Bella. It seemed odd to her to add a prefix of one's gender to their name, but as Bella was the only one who had that, and was obviously of high status, it must be a mark of honour. But how on earth would she manage to back away? Naga went forwards, not backwards! And the bow that she did, would Nitha need to do that? Would it be fine just bowing from beneath her first set of ribs, or would she need to bow from her middle? Was the ceiling high enough for that?

Nitha was beginning to feel the concern that had vanished when cuddling Silver return as she began to realise that her future may be very uncertain. She didn't even have a collar yet! She understood that different colours meant different things, and she felt a small flare of jealousy when Silver was gifted a pretty blue one.

She wanted to trust Kenner when he said that he would find suitable places for them. He was a powerful man, and seemed very cunning. But would she even fit in most human dwellings?

When the human male, dressed like many in the den but without the helm, addressed her Nitha did not hesitate to answer.
"Yes." she stated simply, bumping her cheek up along Silver's before straightening a bit, arms loosely looped around her shoulders. The same height as him, she wanted to make sure he'd understand her relationship with Silver as a protected youngling without trying to overtly challenge him by become taller than the male. "I like her."

After a moment of regarding him with her brilliant yellow stare, she asked "Is height status here?" It had been something she'd wondered about, noting that Kenner was quite tall, and neither Pesshka nor Lady Bella were short.

Though the master made an effort not to move too suddenly, Silver still felt herself shiver as he touched her head. She quickly recovered herself, and nuzzled his hand gently. She started to rethink her actions, however, as he quickly tied another collar around her neck. He spoke of other masters, and this confused her slightly. She thought that he was the only master; clearly she was wrong in that aspect. Silver felt her skin prickle slightly with displeasure after the collar was placed there. Though she had no idea what it meant, it had been given to her after her somewhat submissive and well-mannered speech, and it hurt her pride slightly to be recognized for it, however necessary it was to remain on the good side of the master. She fingered the blue fabric as she returned back to Nitha, finding comfort in the presence of the naga, who was communicating with one of the guards who had brought in Silver herself when she'd first arrived. Silver jumped when the gates opened, and several guards began to enter, bearing chains. Rather than running away, she took several steps forward, placing her small yet lithe form between the threat and her naga friend, her stance fierce and defensive. Though they did not move towards her or Nitha, Silver watched them tirelessly until they escorted out two of the other female slaves. She felt her blood racing through her veins, adrenaline pumping as she watched them leave. She ran her hand over her red collar absent mindedly, smiling in Nitha's direction before approaching the guard who was beside her. This one didn't appear a threat, but Silver did not let her guard down. "Would it be possible for me to have something else to wear?" she asked him, cordially. She touched the sleeve of her white dress. "I like dresses as much as the next girl, but I find them somewhat restricting. Some pants and a shirt, perhaps?"

Roldan

Roldan looks at Silver, running his eyes up and down her for a moment.
"Alright, I think we can get the maidens to bring you something more suitable." He finishes writing down information on his pad as he watches Nitha move about nearby.

He pulls a leather cover over the top of the paper and hooks it onto the side of his belt.

"The maidens will be back to straighten everything up soon and when that happens they should have the clothes by then."
He gives her a lite pat on the shoulder and leaves her to stay with Nitha for the time being as he steps away, heading for the main gate. The two guards at the gate closed it back up after he exchanged some words with them, the only allowed for several other words before he headed on his way.

The guards standing watch in front of the holding area gate were doing their best to keep one another occupied as the day ran on, while the slaves inside were left to their own devices. But that calm and silent nature of the moment was easily broken when the sound of familiar humming was once again coming from the halls deep withing Raven Loft. The Maidens were one their way and this time they created a slow and low song between one another as they hummed in unison.
Entering the holding area they got to work, straightening beds and picking up trash as they went. Two picked themselves out among the twelve that arrived and approached Silver. Not making a noise to indicate their reasons but the small tied bundle of clothes in their possession was enough to let her know that they had a small selection of items for her to choose from to wear. Despite in the room only a few short minutes the whole of the group finished with their task. A testament to how well they worked in tandem with one another despite the size of the room.

After they were done the group began to leave, filing out of the room one by one save for the two that stood before Silver. It was obvious that they were waiting for her to pick her clothes and change so they could collect her current wardrobe and what was not picked out of the bundle.
As they stood there Lady Bella came back into the room after the line of maidens had left, she had a deft smile on her face and despite not being able to see her face. It was easy to tell that she was already back into good spirits despite the words that her and Nix had shared. "I am glad to see that each of you are getting along, but for now it is time for you to follow me.." She cast her attention towards Bloodsong as her lips crook to one side. "You will be coming along as well, Master Kenner hates to leave anyone alone so you will accompany your two new friends to their meeting with the twins."
She pauses for a moment as she looks back at Nitha and then glances towards Silver, it was as if she was waiting for a reaction of some kind. Maybe on Nitha's part as a question as to where she and her little friend were being taken. Or maybe even a small response from Bloodsong himself.

* * * *

Mari gave a hearty laugh and a squeeze on the shoulders of both Quinn and Nix.."That's the kind of attitude I like to see little girl.. now the fun can start. She strides between the two passing by Gaia and Fade as well only to take a large leap through the air as she closed in on the wall surrounding the arena. As she came back into view she was in possession of a large brass bell that was obviously over stylized for this kind of thing. In her other hand she held the padded mallet that would be used to strike it and she held it aloft like a torch high in the heavens.
"This match will be just for proving purposes so listen up, It will continue until both members of one team are unable to participate any further. Or they consent to defeat in the face of their opponent.. and trust me, consenting is something I really don't like to see. She gives Quinn and Nix a sharp look as she lowers the mallet, pointing at the two of them with it with a strange glare in her eye.

What came next was a show for unpredictability as she grinned lightly and quickly struck the bell, which Gaia and Fade were both ready for. They both lowered each others stance and dug the balls of their feet in the sand below, springing forward in unison towards their respective targets.
Gaia held the squared tip of her blade out towards Quinn's chest, despite the padding and the neutered blade it was obvious the impact itself was going to hurt. Fade on the other hand was gaining distance quicker then Gaia, she swung low towards Nix's midsection in an attempt to press her attack as well.

The fight was on..

Not wanting to keep anyone waiting, Silver briskly began to look through the clothing options, nodding her thanks to the two maidens who had brought them before her. She ran her slim fingers over the fabrics, finding the ones which felt warmest and softest to her touch. She selected a pair of tight-fitting cotton leggings and a loose fitting silken blouse. Silver quickly changed, not feeling self conscious, leaving her white dress on the floor and sliding into the leggings. She put the cream colored blouse over her head and tucked it into the leggings. Though she'd first thought they were black, on closer inspection she realized they were a tawny brown, a color that both warmed and pleased her.
Following her change of attire, Silver tied her hair back and went over to Nitha and Bloodsong. They were the only ones remaining in the room, aside from the Lady Bella, but they were soon being directed into another place. Silver felt more comfortable in her new clothes, and slightly braver. She approached Lady Bella. "Where is it we're going, if you please?"

Lady Bella

Silver came up to Lady Bella with her new clothes tied and dressed correctly, she was looking rather cute to Bella. The little human was doing well despite the alien realm of her new element and to make things better she was doing we making social work of things.
She asked Lady Bella about where it was that she and the others would be going,

Lady Bella smiled back with the sickly grey color showing around the bends of her almost nonexistent lips.. "Your going to meet the twins little miss.. and that would mean taking you to the music room." She finishes her words as the last two maidens come by holding the discarded clothes that Silver changed out of. "I have other business to attend to as well so when you arrive I will be leaving till later today."

The strange part about all of this was the fact that she was not being followed behind by guards like the few times before, either she was well capable of handling herself or they were too thinly spread to accompany her.

Silver was beginning to grow slightly irritated by being regarded as small by everyone; at seventeen years of age, if she was still classified at a girl, she was hardly a "little" one. She remained composed however, not allowing something of such small importance to get under her skin. She was mature beyond her seemingly few years in more ways than one, and she shivered at the unpleasant memories, memories she had closed off deep inside her mind in order to preserve her sanity and protect herself. She turned to face Lady Bella once more, cutting off her own train of thought.
The words "twins" and "music room" caught her attention, though not in an entirely positive way. She had had some experience with twins before; Keiro had kept a pair of warlocks, identical to the core, to assist him in all of his unusual, and often ill-intended, tom-foolery in the magical arts. She could not help but paint a similar picture of these "twins". Silver was not musical either; though she did enjoy listening to others'. As a child her incapability to sing or play an instrument had led to much mockery and teasing. She was filled with a hollow dread of what was to come. She regarded Lady Bella, though outwardly flawlessly polite, with hardly shrouded distaste. Silver was not fond of this woman, or the way she talked down to Nitha and Silver herself, as if they were hardly worth her time.
"If you please, my lady. Might you elaborate? I do not enjoy being kept in the dark as to where I am blindly being led."

Lady Bella looked at the girl silver standing before her as she dipped her head slightly towards the her. "I can understand.. but for now you will all follow." It was a blatant order on her part no matter how much her murky smile tried to disguise it.
She walked from the room with the others in tow, some of the guards egged the others on without being given to following themselves and it was that the three were lead from the holding area.
Nitha's traveling wasn't as harsh as she was originally thinking it was, the floor was made from a polish and primed cobblestone that had a nice warm afterglow from all the people that had been traveling on it the whole morning. While still not as warm as she would truly want it was not cool one bit.

Still it was not the best for Bloodsong on the other hand, while the two with him were at least dressed in some way he was still donning his loin cloth. A few eyes would glue themselves to him as he passed, while not from the guards it was from some of the other staff and other passersby.
Lady Bella soon lead them to the main hall and up the stairs, the more people that gathered on the second tier here were still not as accustomed to the sight of the the Naga and Wolf-kin the most of the others. But with Bella walking ahead of them this was the point that kept others from staring for too long and it was with that the group was lead up to the third tier of Raven Loft.
It was right before the last tier of the central tower, this was the level that the masters themselves slept on and they stood right below it. Lady Bella was leading them down one of the accosting halls that lead along the rim of the mountain itself.

It was a long and wide hallway that bent with a slight curve to match that of the outside of the mountain itself, beams of light cut through the open windows that sat to the western side of the wall itself and the echoing clack of Lady Bella's heels on the surface on the now marble floor was crashing from one of the of the hall to the other. But as they moved that sound began to die in light of another that was coming from the destination they were set for. The sound of a bow set to string and the tune of a harmonious sound ringing forth, it was the sounds of someone playing from within the music room ahead.
As they broke the opening into the room it was revealed to be a small practice hall with buckled ceiling panels and concave walls like that of a sound stage. The room was well lit and decorated to give the most joyous of thoughts and sitting within the center of the room was a little girl, playing a violin looked made to fit her. She was dressed in a white sun gown that was draped across her form as she sat on a small stool near the center of the room. Playing her song with no aid to what she was doing and with no music paper in front of her, long silvery hair dangled past her shoulders as she swayed back and forth with each caress of her bow and she seemed utterly oblivious to the three looking upon her.

The fight between Quinn, Nix, and their adversaries had begun with the striking of a tune.
It was now a battle between the four as they did what could be considered a mere mock battle, but the understanding of physical harm was very evident with the use of actual weapons. No matter how dulled and de-clawed the swords had been it was still possible for vast physical harm to happen here. It was Fade who reached Nix first and while Nix did her best to keep the smaller framed Fade away while striking back at her from a respectable distance. It was easy to tell in her strike however that her limited knowledge with such a weapon would be a hindrance. Fade reversed the direction of her swing as with the way that Nix deflected her own attack and did the same in return, striking her sword downward towards the sand. She spun quickly on one heel and brought her foot around to strike Nix in the face but was slightly out of range due to Nix's prior stance. The missed attempted sprinkled small pellets of sand in a wide pattern in front of the girl showering Nix.

Quinn's fight with Gaia as playing out differently however, the two women were going at one another and not holding back and with Quinn's speed it would appear she had the upper hand. Her strike was swift and true, with the effort that Gaia had to put in with the fact that she was larger then Quinn her attack would not easily connect. So when Quinn returned with an attack of her own it was almost assured to land and it did. The dulled blade made heavy contact with Gaia's side, thanks to Quinn's blood she was stronger and faster then most mortals could be even with her bindings. The wincing grunt that escaped the woman's lips was a testament to how much she did not expect a return from the new fighter.
However when Quinn tried to withdraw her arm and weapon she found she could not because Gaia had gripped onto Quinn's wrist. She tugged on Quinn's arm and with little effort on her part drew the smaller woman closer.."Strong one aren't you?.." Her words were less a question then a statement as she hefted Quinn up and quickly flung her to the side releasing her into the sand. Quinn took several billowing rolls through the arenas floor before she could recapture her composure in the midst of the rolling.

The two male fighters looked on and had each had a stupid grin plastered on their face, while Mari was watching from above and her look had not changed. She seemed unimpressed for some reason, as if something in this match wasn't being met for her.

Nitha was stared at amply as they passed through Kenner's den. She stared back, eerie yellow eyes barely blinking, she was so fascinated. When first brought in she was nearly insensate with cold and hunger so hadn't been able to appreciate the structures built here. Was this all underground? And so many people here! Were they all involved with Kenner? She keenly observed them. It seemed that breasts were a common occurance in the females, so after the first stairway she stopped bothering scenting them for gender. Long hair seemed to be favoured, with many women displaying it and some men. She observed the styles of clothing and compared it to clothing she'd worn before. Here it seemed as much practical as decorative.

Nitha made surprisingly little noise as she moved, a very faint shushing was all that was audible in contrast to the distinct footfalls of Silver and Bloodsong and the sharp clack of Lady Bella's shoes. Nitha winced as they entered a new hallway higher up and brighter with natural light. The sound of the heels reverbrated across the chamber, through the air and under her stomach. However soon a new sound overtook it, in the air at least. It was a strange sound, a sort of resonant singing, higher pitched than music Nitha was used to even if it was still certainly a form of music. On entering the well lit and decorated chamber, Nitha got to see for herself the source of that peculiar sound. It was a very small human, an elver, playing on what appeared to be an instrument. Nitha's eyes were huge as she tapped a hand on Silver's shoulder, leaning down to press her cheek alongside the human's.

"What is that?" she asked, pointing her fist at the musician.

Bloodsong was tense as they walked, his ears twitched almost as much as his nose did. He stared at everyone they passed, baring his teeth at any who got too close to him.

As the sound of a high pitched, alien sound reached his ears, his attention was drawn towards it almost instantly. His head canted to the side as he watched the small girl with the... whatever it was. One ear twisted to the side, hearing the naga whisper to the other female the exact question he had in his head.

What -was- that? It sounded almost pleasant to his ears, yet he coudln't place it.

With the asking of Nitha's question the run of the bow across the strings came to a halt, the small group was looking now at the deep eyes of the small girl looking back at them with Bella breaching the gaze in between them. She smiled lightly as she tilted her head to the side and finished her last three notes before removing the crux from her chin.
As she placed the instrument down Lady Bella walked forward leaving the others to their own devices for the time being and struck her conversation with the small girl. "I see you've been practicing.." The small girl does not say a word, but simply gives a small bow of the head and a dip in her step. Not much of that could be called a conversation in the least as the girl stared back at the others by looking past Bella's side and hitting them with a now more strangely recognizable stare. She looked at them with an unblinking gaze, almost as if she were a goldfish in the bowl looking out beyond the glass with detached interest.

She finally spoke as she began to walk past Lady Bella.
"So these are the new additions that Kenner believes I can use?" It was certain that the question was meant for Bella but her attention never left the three before her. Bella on the other hand approached her from behind and began to add.."Yes this is Bloodsong.. that's Nitha.. and the little one is Silver." She spoke as she pointed them out individually "They should be able to follow some sense of direction. However I don't know what he was thinking of having them sent to you, all of them are not really suited for such a task."

The little girl walked closer and dipped her Kirsti much like she did with Bella before looking back at them.. "Alright.. everyone, I am Claudia and I teach the art of music here in Raven Loft, it seems that Master Kenner has entrusted you to me for the time being. So I would like to know if either of you have a problem taking commands from someone like me myself."

It seemed that she was introducing herself to the others and that was Bella's signal to leave, which she was well on her way to doing as she walked out the same causeway they took to enter the room.

Bloodsong, too, could smell something was... off about this girl. His ears flicked back and his lip curled in a slight snarl; not a dangerous snarl, just a confused, wary one. His gaze darted around the room, not even sure why he was here. Was he to protect the naga and the other girl?

This whole place still confused him, but he was right now; less inclined to try and kill the 'enemy' and escape. He didn't want that weird woman to come back and blast him with light again, or eat him... or anything of the sort. He sniffed at her again, then reeled back and snuffed; something wasn't right here at all.

Claudia smiles as Nitha reacts to her scent, it could be seen in her face that this was no surprise to her. The fact that Bloodsong did the same only added to the contrary that she was used to such a reaction from those that relied on that sense.
She gave Bloodsong a low cut smile as she reached up and stroked one of his ears in a quick motion and then pulled back.

"That is fine as can be I guess, being undead does tend to leave such a scent on one for some time." The pert edges of her mouth creased with the smile she flashed at the three, the small jagged edge of a tooth revealed was the inclination they could perceive about her true nature before she stepped back towards the small stool and sat herself down.

Picking the violin up and putting it back to her chin she strikes one of the cords with the bow slightly only to pause after a wayward thought comes to mind. "So.. a Naga, a Human, and a wolf-ling come into my studio. My that sounds like the beginning to a bad joke now that I run it through my mind." Despite Claudia's smell her voice itself was unsettling, it possessed a demeanor that bellied her true nature and age. Like a much older person was speaking with the voice and face of a child. The deep stare in her eyes revealed that she had been around for a long time and that she had seen much. Like the eyes of a sailor who had just passed from sea to shore after so many years abroad.

She looked on at the group, as if waiting for one of them to say something.

Nitha eyed the little 'undead', still unable to shake the feeling of concern. Home had those who died and rose again, but they were very rare and stank of black magic, death and the unknown. Claudia merely smelt wrong, and she didn't have the look of otherworldly fire in her eyes that the K'ck did. On being assured that that was normal for the female, Nitha curled up again, pressing her side against Silver for comfort even as her tail gently pressed against Bloodsong's flank.

"You will teach us your craft?" Nitha asked, looking at the instrument the girl raised. While fascinating in its alieness, it held no personal allure for the Naga. She looked about the room, searching among the instruments. Many of the ones with strings held no interest for her, and she blinked her incomprehension at the different forms of pianos and things made of twisted shiny metal. Then her eyes came across a rack of woodwinds. She left the group, heading over to the various pipes, flutes and clarinets. Running cautious fingers over them, she found a very large wooden flute, about the length of her forearm. Looking at it for a moment, she then picked it up and blew on it experimentally. The first note was awkward, but then she pulled her head back, examined the mouth peice and tried again. The sound that emerged was low, throbbing and rich.

The small naga turned to the undead girl, holding it up with a smile. "I like the sound of this."
