Clothing isn't a big thing to Chiyo. She isn't a very big fashion freak, and often just likes to wear anything that looks decent and is incredibly comfortable. Often after her school - college - she'll just wear her teacher-looking clothes and stay in that all day since she has no care since it looks nice and feels comfortable. Once she wears something in the morning, you'll never see her wear anything different until night. While she may be japanese and descending from a family of Samurai, she only wears things like kimonos and yukatas during summer.
β Birthmark/Piercing/Tattoo/Scar/Noticeable Features β: Chiyo has nearly flawless skin. She has no tattoos, and has no interest in getting any, although they are pleasant to look at. The piercings she got years ago closed up, so she no longer wears earrings, and the only birthmark she has is a burn looking spread on the back of her neck. Perhaps the most noticeable feature of hers is her green and orange eyes. That, or its her lovely red hair. Despite being completely japanese, her hair ended up to be a strange color from the rest of her family.
β Personality β: Chiyo honestly is very honest, maternal, but a kind person at heart. Firstly, she's very straightforward. Chiyo is someone who won't give you the answer you'd like, but will answer with the truth, nevertheless. Her honesty tends to make people angry because of her responses, but she'd rather tell a harsh truth rather than a fairy tail lie.
She's also quite motherly. Being the owner of the Hanekawa household and the last Hanekawa that lives in the house, she feels responsible for the many people who stay with her in such a large mansion. She has to act like the mother that rules the house, or there'll be no organization. She can seem a little scary if someone doesn't put their clothes away or gets home too late.
But mostly, behind these honest sayings and maternal calls, Chiyo is a very good natured and a caring girl. She's always attentive to the others in the house and takes care of them. Since her family has moved on and away, they are her family now, and she takes good care of them like the older sibling. She'd do anything for them really.

β Secrets β:
Ο‘ While Chiyo is afraid of heights and falling from heights, she wonders and dreams of flying like a bird in the sky over Yokohama, even if it were just for a few minutes.
Ο‘ Chiyo doesn't show it too often, but she is incredibly protective of her current "family." She'd rather break a bone rather than for any of them to get hurt and would put herself before any single one of them.
Ο‘ Even though Chiyo loves her current family, she misses her mother, father, and older sister, who all are in America, with all her heart and still feels hints of loneliness without her blood family with her at the house.
But most of that changed when the other members of her home began to leave. This all happened just after the Tokyo Olympics. They all had somehow gathered enough money and moved away from the main and large olden styled japanese mansion. Some left for other players in Yokohama, some left outside Japan, and others travelled nearly half the world to America. Never the less, it definitely left Chiyo and her mother and father, along with her two younger brothers and one older sister, alone. The only one outside this circle was Chiyo's grandmother and her second cousin and his family.
Things were quite fine, even without the company. Its just that all the festivity and happiness died down and it was more like silence that filled the whole house. Perhaps the only person who brought the remainders of the family together was Chiyo's beloved grandmother, who she loved the most compared to the other adults. She's spend time with her, learning her ways and talking to her and taking care of her. Her grandmother, she felt, was all she had left.
But then that privilege was also taken away when her grandmother suddenly passed without anything knowing until the day afterwards. Chiyo nearly broke down at the funeral and things were horrible for her from that point on. But perhaps that's where her new story began. Despite her actual family moving out, she still had her second cousin, and a huge house that was still being paid off by their parents and the rest of the family, wherever their location was.
That's when she invited other people to stay, and to keep them from moving away, she does her best to hold their interest and give them affection, almost like a mother would do with a child.
β Other β:
βΏ Chiyo is often seen doing laundry around the house, making a meal, and when she's not working, often taking a nap on the couch or socializing with someone else in the house. She's hardly got much free time on her hands though, but doesn't mind the loss with all the people she has around her.
