Liam Mitchell: Northern United States.
November 10th.
Three years after the Battle of Time Square.
Liam had to park the car outside of town. He could not risk anyone seeing him drive it. Too many questions. He could feel the tension as he entered the town himself though. There was a good amount of the supernatural community here. He walked into the bar of all places, sat down on a stool next to a man and ordered a burben.
"Aren't you a little young for a drink this strong".
"Please, we both know who I am. That horn over there? From a demon who fought in the Battle of New York. A lot of fighting spilled into the streets that day. Isn't that right, Dylan?"
The man turned around, and smiled at Liam. "Long time no see, little man".
"So, are you looking for me too?"
"No, this is just coincidental. I respected your decision to leave. Nocte on the other hand, he is looking for both you and Tyler. Tyler is the one I am looking for, subtly. I do have business to run, after all".
Liam smiled. "Of course, you are a thief and a conman after all. The only human I know to have made a deal with a Demon, and ripped the Demon off. That was hilarious, by the way". Liam's smiled faded however. "You cant convince me to go back, you know that right?"
"I know Liam. But the least you could do is call them. They are Wiccan, not Anti-Technology. They have phones".
"Not yet...I need to do things first. Though, if you could, give them some roses for me. Now excuse me..."
Liam sat up, and telekinetically flung the bartender against a wall. "I want to know why you just signaled that group of demons over there to have me killed. Yes, I noticed. Why are you signaling Demons to kill me? Especially when you know who I am and know you need me alive..."
"Its just...good business...our leader wants it this way. All hail Vivren" the man spoke, before dying. He had taken a cyanide pill. Dylan stood up, tipped his hat to Liam, and started to leave. "We both know I am a businessman, not a fighter. And Liam, dont hurt them too much before you kill them".
The group of demons attacked Liam. Liam set one of them on fire, telekinetically flung another into the air, before getting hit on his side. Liam quickly controlled a nearby tree, and made it whip its vines around the third demon, and pin it to the tree, unable to move. The fourth demon wrapped itself around Liam like a snake, trying to squeeze him to death. Instead, he set it, and himself partially, on fire.
The demons on fire quickly died. The one he telekinetically flung in the air was aproaching his right side. And then, a Hellshot was fired from behind at Liam. Liam jumped up, displaying some inhuman strength, dodged the shot, and discovered the bar tender was still alive. And he was a demon."Clever trick".
Liam proceeded to burn all of them while they were caught offguard by his dodge, finally dispatching the demons. He put his hands in his pockets, as the air started to get colder, and walked away so no one found him suspicious. The demon would find that the tree would slowly squeeze it to death. Liam walked back to his car, only to find out that it was dead. Needed a new battery. Which means, he was temporarily stranded. He needed a new car to keep him moving. A new car with no questions asked.
Liam had to be especially careful. Ever sicne the Battle of Times Square, he has been in danger. Demons generally want to kidnap him, some Angel and Werewolf factions want to kill him, plenty of Blookal want to kill him. If Liam was to die, the Apocalypse can never be started.
This has forced Liam to remain on his own this whole time. Its clearly had its affect on him. He continued to walk around town, looking for a good car to steal.
Meanwhile....Nocte Parker: Northern United States.
"Well, have you seen either of them?" Nocte asked an innkeeper. It had been three years of research, searching, and moving around, but he was closing in on Liam. Tyler had gone completely off the grid, and was impossible to find, but Liam was leaving a trail of bodies.
Liam had lost part of his humanity, his innocence, and both he and Nocte knew it. They knew it ever since Willowfield, where he managed to catch up to Liam for a moment, only to end up fighting the biggest battle he had fought in other then Times Square. And that very battle was why, as well.
There were enough people in the Battle of Times Square that Liam and Nocte's roles in it where none. Nocte was part of the group that charged in to stop it, while Liam was The Key, needed to activate the apocalypse. The battle of Times Square was massive, as all the Supernatural beings in the neighborhood fought in it.
"You lookin for Liam and yer brother, ain't you?" A man asked him. Nocte looked over, and without a double to him, it was a shaman.
"Yes, I am. Can you tell me anything about them? Where they are?"
"No, only that you will see them soon enough. You are also about to be shot, so I would recommend beign ready".
Nocte telekinetically slammed a man into the wall. "Now, who are you?"
"All hail Vivren" he noted, stabbing himself with the rest of his strength. Nocte looked at this with shock. "Who is Vivren?"
"A faction leader. He believes he can prove himself by killing Liam, and you. This faction is strange though. Made of werewolves, Demons, Blookal, all dat stuff. Rumor has it Vivren is one of the surviving Vampires".
"Great this just gets better and better". Nocte said, as he started to walk out of the town. He could not risk displaying his wings to the public.
