[Age]: 27
[Gender]: Female
[Role]: Navigator and Seer
[Appearance]: Nim stands at 5'10" in height, sporting a lean build accustomed to scrambling up and down the rigging of a ship. Her beastman heritage is apparent from the large cat ears she has in place of human ones, as well as a tail at the base of her spine. She has brown eyes and hair, the latter being styled into a long braid. Nim's choice of clothing tends to favour freedom of movement, not to mention exposing a fair bit of skin to be warmed by the sun.
[Personality]: Being capable of seeing the future to an extent, Nimethel tends to be wary of danger, preferring to have a backup plan ready rather than blindly rush ahead. In general she appears to be fairly laid back, even fancying herself as having a sharp tongue at times, but she wouldn't exactly jump at the opportunity to take a nap while on duty. Like many of her kind, she has a particular fondness for fish and basking in the sun, although for the most part she's able to keep these urges under control. Lastly, despite throwing her lot in with a known pirate, Nim still clings to the belief that the Neptune Federation is the only thing standing between them and total oceanic anarchy.
[Skills]: Nim is highly skilled at steering a ship and plotting a course, and has served faithfully as the ship's navigator for several years now. When either asleep or in a meditative state, she can experience visions of the possible future, using this knowledge to help advise the captain. In combat, she's nimble and good with a dagger, but her greatest weapon is some rather potent fire magic.
[History]: Nimethel grew up in a small island town within Federation territory. Having an above average talent for magic, she was taught in the arcane arts, including how to perceive glimpses of the future and act accordingly. As time passed, however, her interests drifted towards the open ocean outside the confines of her study. At the age of twenty-two, Nim began to invest more of her time in studying maps and charts of the seas, which eventually led to her getting a job as a navigator on one of the smaller ships in port after a couple of years.
They were attacked by pirates on the first voyage. The Federation neglected to help, since the local mayor had been at least a fortnight late in paying the monthly tithes. Nim barely managed to escape with her life, reaching the ship's jollyboat and slipping away in the chaos, the rest of the crew having been slaughtered. Later that day when she was hanging round the pub trying to forget the incident, she met a man named Galeon, who offered her a position on his own ship. Sceptical at first, she told him that she would think about it first. During the night she had a vision of both herself and him, standing on the deck of a ship and looking towards... something, but Nim herself couldn't see what. Regardless, it was an omen that couldn't be ignored, and she promptly agreed to join Galeon the very next day.
