DJ Woodstock

Woodstock continued on his beat, the best at what he was best at. The very world itself seemed to follow the beat, the winds adding their whispers, the trees joining a rattling dance of shaking leaves. The crickets symphonied in time, the birds tweeting their own sad melodies to add in. Even the sounds of the kitchen seemed to flow in time, adding their own to the song. The world slowly slipped away...until cetain words pierced his heart.

"--When I was younger, my parents hardly gave me any food to eat, and when they did, it mostly just scraps and garbage, so--"

Woodstock stopped abrubtly, the world falling silent with him. Besides the people who dare spoke through it, the unnerving silence seemed to grip everything. The winds themselves stopped, the trees still, every critter of the air and earth falling silent for the lad as he opened his eyes, painful memories coming to him in a glaze over his eyes. He sat there for a minute, ingnoring everything, until he finally stood, turning slowly to the sliding wood-and-paper door that led to the next room over. He slid it out of the way, eyeing the individuals there, until he found the female who had spoken. He made his slow, somber way to the seat next to her, sitting there with understanding and pain in his eyes. He quietly and softly took the girl's hand, clasping it inbetween his own in a friendly mannor. ...me too. His eyes were still carrying the glaze, his body language meant to comfort, though he showed great pain himself. He stayed like that for a moment, then released her hand, standing and making his slow way back to his own dining place, shutting the door softly. As he sat down, he pulled a silver flask from his leg pocket, twirling off the top and taking a long swig.

Me too.

Emerald Xiloscient

Emerald froze as the sound stopped, and glanced back at him curiously. He seemed distracted. She glanced at the oven, pulling the casserole out and setting it on the counter to cool before she looked back at him...but he had goen off somewhere. She looked confused, and glanced around the kitchen. She hadn't noticed anyone else that had entered until then, but kept her opinions to herself. No one needed to know that she even acknowledged they were there. Instead, she leaned against the counter, waiting for her human to return. She debated looking through his mind, but shook off the thought; it wasn't necessary, and she had already used too much energy that day trying to read his mind when she couldn't see her subject.

She watched carefully as he returned. Whatever it was, it had apparently affected him greatly. He returned his attention to a drinking flask, which she had to assume held alcohol. She was sensitive that that smell in particular, since she had smelt it so much more often than drinking it. She shrugged it off; she would have to bring him out of this. She searched the kitchen for plates and set a couple on the table; of course she would eat her own food. It wasn't that she was hungry, but some people she had known would refuse to eat anything she cooked unless she ate some of it, too. She nodded to Woodstock. "Go ahead and help yourself. I'm not sure how much you want, but there's plenty there," she offered with a smile.

Eurydice

Eurydice's gaze narrowed at the Angel's comment. So, she had finally decided to show up. How... inconvenient. At the mentioning of her title by Roland, however, Eurydice smiled bashfully. "Oh, I dabble a little here and there. But it is nothing compared to you, Roland. Maybe you could give me some lessons while we are here?" the Demon of Lust suggested. In truth she could probably surpass his own skill, but humans liked flattery. And 'lessons' would increase her time with the boy, alone hopefully.

For a moment Eurydice surveyed the Angel. She was unfamiliar but something seemed off about her. She lacked a certain... something. Eurydice shrugged it off. It's not like she ever associated herself with Angel's before so what could she know about the vile creatures?

"So, did you just fly in, Alcina?" she questioned. "What happened, was your flight delayed? It's rude to keep people waiting you know," she sneered.

Alcina Superbia

She smiled gracefully at the boy, truely looking like she had appriciated his forgiveness. A true actor, Alcina never broke her character. "Oh lessons, what a wonderful idea Eurydice! I have no talent at the piano but I would love to hear you teach" she exclaimed, threads of excitement running in her tone. "Unfortunatly I only play the harp, its self taught so I'm not sure if I'm any good at it really!" flecks of blush appeared on her cheeks seemingly embarresed by the thought of playing it at all. In reality, the self confident Alcina was amazing at the harp, rivalling even the best of the angelic choir. She knew this of course. One day she would get the boy to listen to her, she'd make him she the beauty she could make.

Turning to the demon when she spoke, slightly annoyed that the lesser even chose to speak. Honestly such a lowly creature even dare question her. But these things often didn't know what was good for them. She wondered what sin her old master had given to the girl. She had narrowed it down to either envy or lust in her eyes. Time to teach this demon who was the superior being here.

"Ah my lateness" the words seem to sutter out as if the demons comments had taken the wind from her lungs. "A family matter-" slight tears began to form as she seemingly fought them back cutting off her sentence not wanting to disclose the matter that appeared to effect her so deeply. "Your competely right Eurydice, it was rude, I hope you both forgive me" she seemed flustered attempting to gain her composure as she gave the girl a over whelming respectful bow.

And the oscar goes too....

DJ Woodstock

Woodstock gave a small nod of thanks as he took a small portion of the meal onto his personal plate, taste-testing it first. He was not displeased. In fact, the meal was rather delicious...in a devilish kind of way. After he finished the first plate, he piled a second plate up, consuming it with inhuman speed, yet was still suprisingly neat. A third plate. A fourth. As he cleaned the fifth plate, washing the meal down with the flask, he gave a contented sigh, giving the Host a smile and a thumbs-up. Damned good, I do say. My compliments to the chef. He gave another sigh, then attempted to swish around the alcohol that no longer existed in the empty flask. Hmm...fresh out. Damn.

He gave a shrug, pocketing the silver flask. Ah, well, got some more in the room... He thought for a moment, then yawned. Damn, walking for a week really takes it out on ya... He stood, gave a small bow of goodbye and thanks, then made his way back to his room, shutting the door behind him. Once inside, he booted up his computer, logging onto his webpage, posting a message to the front:

"Party. Tonight. 11 pm to God-knows-when. Akane Resort. Be there."

Yukio Miaga

Yukio sighed at his brother's 'Gentlemanly' act and followed him out. He walked all the way to Mizu's room and ran his hand through his hair, looking at the angel's food. What a heavenly act he thought, grimacing. Usually, he gave angels a chance, but this one sorta got on his nerves for some reason. Yukio watched his brother gracefully go back to their room and he ruffled the girl's hair. "I'm Yukio. Akio introduced me earlier, but I prefer to do things myself. You probably noticed, but he's my twin." he said simply. His eyes then glided over to the other door, the one the angel was in. He was about to tell her not to get too close to him, but that would make it seem like he was getting really close to her. He then patted her on the head twice. "Sleep well, princess." he laughed, walking normally into the his room and lying down on the bed.
"Hey, Akio. That girl is kinda... interesting, huh?"

Eurydice

Eurydice bit down on her tongue to prevent a hiss from escaping her lips at the angel's dramatic show. It sickened her. Even so, to react as she wished would only turn Roland against her. Swallowing her distaste (although swallowing her tongue would have been easier), Eurydice gasped and placed her hands over her empty heart. "Oh, I am so sorry, I do hope everyone is okay. Maybe they should try vacationing somewhere warmer, I hear the south really catches people's souls," she spat. Satisfied, Eurydice turned and flicked her midnight hair over her shoulder.

"Now then, back to more pressing matters," she cooed. "I would like to see the rest of the resort. How about you, Roland? Or are you getting tired? I could get you something," she suggested. Eurydice watched the boy with sly smile. "I want to make your stay as comfortable as possible, your wish is my command."

Emerald Xiloscient

Emerald watched as he grabbed a small portion for himself, forcing herself to keep a straight face. She couldn't let herself get upset just because he didn't take a lot of her food. Maybe he just wasn't hungry. She only took small bites of her portion at a time herself. Perhaps he was just a smlow eater, or something. But, after the first bite, he seemed much more eager to eat. She let a content smile appear on her face as he helped himself to more, and larger, helpings of her food. She liked it when people liked her food; it meant she was good at something, because of course she had been through people, more particularly her family, had expressed their opinion that she wasn't good for anything. She ate slowly herself. She didn't exactly need to eat, but it would make her seem a little more human if she did, especially if she were to be noticed by any of the other humans in the building.

She sighed and stood up, cleaning up what was left. He had eaten a good deal of it on his own, so there wasn't too much to clean up after. She glanced around; she hadn't seen that angel in a while, really. Once she was done with that, she paused, debating briefly, then, with a shrug, headed back towards their rooms. She paused just long enough to listen at Woodstock's door, to decide he was keeping himself busy, and confirm that the angel wasn't in there with him, then continued on to her own room. Perhaps she would have time to get some reading done, herself. She hadn't thought she would have any time to herself, being the host to a human, but it seemed as though he wanted some time to himself. She wasn't going to interrupt. Besides, she wouldn't be able to stand not having a little bit of time to herself, anyway.

She walked to her radio, turning it on, but keeping it quiet. Should he start his music, she wasn't going to ignore it. But she didn't like the abolute silence, and so something had to be on. She pulled a book out from one of the bookshelves and relaxed herself on her bed. Maybe she would get a bit of vacation out of this, after all. "Now..." she mumbled to herself, "what other recipes can I use while I'm here...?

DJ Woodstock

Woodstock awoke with a start, not remembering how he got from the chair to the floor. He guessed he had been more tired than he thought. At least there had been no dreams. Dreams were always bad for him. Sitting up and wiping the sleep out of his eyes, he smiled as he saw his computer say it was ten-ten. Excellent... Picking up his suitcase, he made his way out of his room to the main entrance, where a man stood outside, tapping on the glass. As the DJ opened the door for the man, he man offered a hand, which DJ clasped, the two men coming together in a bro-hug. The man was of opposite race, skin colored and luscious like chocolate, but smiled wide as he broke from the hug.

"Hey, hey, here is my man--I brought the whole gig, you cool with dat?" The man motioned to a pickup truck with large stereo equipment in the bed being unloaded by several "homeboys". Woodstock nodded approvingly, gaining a smile from the man. They moved all the stereo equipment, hooking it up, robbed the liquor stores of the hotel, setting everything up for one helluva party. They set up two turntables and soundboards across from each other ready to do battle at a moment's notice. All the alcohol was laid out in one place or another, one of the homeboys playing barkeep with the glasses at one of the tables that held the kegs. As they waited for the clock to strike eleven exact, sipping at the liquids, Woodstock turned to the original man, who looked back, a mutual understanding between them. They each took a spot on the other ends of the room, testing out the systems, then nodded to each other as they collaberated an electronic dubstep dance remix of "Party Rock Anthem". By the time that the room filled at eleven-ten, Woodstock starting off the entire party by cranking the volume to its max, continuing the beat by stopping it for a moment, gaining the whole room's attention, then cutting to the famous words:

"Everyday I'm shufflin'..."

Then the real party began...

Eurydice

Eurydice yawned. She had been unable to tolerate the angel for any longer so she returned to her room. Roland was a unique human, but he utterly bored her. They all did eventually. All mortals were weak and undeserving of her time. She crawled onto her bed and stared into the ceiling. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep.

Eurydice woke with a start, loud music shaking the floor. She yawned, annoyed by the interruption but enjoying the lively song. Eurydice sighed, looking at the clock to find it just past eleven. What on earth was going on? It seemed to be a club of sorts, maybe it could prove to be fun. Quickly she brushed out her raven curls and dressed in a short, revealing gown that just brushed her thighs. The sleeves consisted of two satin ribbons that fish netted around her arms and tied at the wrist. As usual, it was all black with a sash of blue tied to her waist and a blue rose adorning her hair.

Satisfied with herself, Eurydice approached her door surprised to find a note slipped beneath the crack. It was similar in style to the invitation she received in the first place. Cautiously, she read the few sentence inside. "You're human has been removed from the hotel. Please relocate your room to one that is adjoined to DJ Woodstock: your new mortal. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but please enjoy the rest of your stay. Good luck."

Eurydice scoffed; annoyed she had wasted her time with the foolish mortal. Even so, she could hear the crowd somewhere in the hotel. Tonight was for her. She easily found the source of the music, the song blasting with an enjoyable beat. As she entered, however, no one seemed to notice her presence. As the Demon of Lust, that couldn't be. As if on cue, Eurydice flowed into the center of the room, her arms up in unison to the song as she began to dance. "Get up get down put your hands up to the sound, Put your hands up to the sound, Get up, Put your hands up to the sound, to the sound." Now in the center of the dance floor, all eyes were upon her as she moved to the music, her voice slicing the air in perfect pitch. Some would have sworn she was the original singer, if not better. "Put your hands up! Put your hands up! Put your hands up." She swayed her hips, laughing at the males unable to remove their eyes from her.

Eurydice smiled. This form of attention was what she hated the most about her master, but it was also what she desired the most. Such is the way of lust. Satisfied she had grabbed the attention of the room, she swayed over to the DJ. "So, are you the one that put this all together?" she purred, voice still harmonizing to the song. "It is quite impressive, indeed." she flashed him a smile, perfect white teeth the only feature paler than her flawless skin as he leaned against the equipment, careful not to damage any. “Would you care to dance or have a drink? Even the DJ deserves a break.” Ask she spoke to him, Eurydice continued to loudly hum the tune, her hips and body still swaying to the beat.

Emerald Xiloscient

Emerald frowned as she heard a door open. It was Woodstock's door, she knew. She got up, cracking her door open to see him walking away. She continued to watch until he turned a corner, and her frown deepened. What was he doing up at this time? She glanced back in her room, at the clock on the wall. It was far too late for any human to be up and wandering around, especially ina hotel when he might wake others. She shrugged and decided she'd take a quick shower before looking in to see what was going on. She made sure that, since it was night, she had one of her short skirts instead of shorts, and her usual revealing tank top. It was night, and she would need to get his attention somehow, especially if she was supposed to be getting the human to fall in love with her.

By the time she finished, though, she heard loud music. Confused, she followed the music, quietly humming to the beat under her breath. She froze when she saw the people there, suddenly feeling very self-conscious. As a demon, she shouldn't have been; should have been able to ignore it, or use it to her advantage. But all she could feel was a sudden shyness, and wishing she had chosen a less revealing outfit. She glanced around, and found Woodstock, but also found another female around him; another female demon. Where was her host? This made no sense, and she was thoroughly irritated, irritated enough to temporarily forget her shyness. she walked towards the pair of them.

She gave the other demon a questioning look, showing her confusion at finding another demon instead of the angel bothering him, then back to Woodstock. "You know, as one of your hosts, you should have told me; I could have helped...snacks, or something..." She pouted for a second before turning her gaze back to the rest of the crowd.

DJ Woodstock

Woodstock had his eyes closed, his head bobbing in time to the beat, stuck in the trance of the music...even as he heard the voice, he only smiled, music being all one to him. But then, the words changed, asking him something. He opened his eyes to see what could have only been the most sexy lady on the face of the planet, leaning right over. And her clothing was certainly to be gawked at, leaving very little to the imagination. He held his nose after it spurted a small amount of blood, the low-cut shirt only revealing a bit much as she leant over the set. She complimented him for his music, then asked him for a dance or drink. A small blush rose to his cheeks as he looked behind each shoulder, then, looking to her, pointed to himself. Who, me?

As Emerald walked up, he couldn't help but to feel some tension in the air...he was unsure if it was between the two women or his own conflicted drive. As she complained about how he had not told her, he gave a sheepish shrug. Sorry... He felt as she looked to the crowd, the said mass having a general look of wonder and jealousy at the woman who perched herself before the set, on display for the world. His cheeks rose a deeper color in red. He pressed a button on the sound board, the famous saying of Arnold announcing the DJ's short leave: "I'll be back."

He then scanned the crowd for a moment, suddenly giving a whistle as he spotted the same man who helped set this all up. The man looked over, smiling as Woodstock went into some hand motions. The man promptly brought over a mixed drink of Monster, Mountain Dew, and purple drink, topped off with a load of vodka, handing to his friend, eyeing the two ladies near them. "Damn, boy," the man gave a whistle and a laugh. "Can you pick 'em!" He gave a polite nod to the two ladies. "The name's Skivv. Can I get anything for ya?"

Mio Namaikina

Mio stared at the boy that had taken her hand and then as quickly as he had appeared, disappeared. She frowned a bit, but without even a single word she had understood. She saw that same exact pain in his eyes that she saw in the mirror reflected back at her in her own eyes. Every pain, every moment of suffering, every bit of guilt, hate, longing, and hope. He understood it. There was no need to say anything. There weren't enough words to describe their feelings, but she wanted to talk to him more. Make a friend. He seemed as if he too was put into this host project. Perhaps he had answers.

Mio suddenly snapped out of her daze. She must look silly right now. "Um... please excuse me.. Thank you for having dinner with me. That was very kind..." she said. With that, she was out the door and had rushed to her room. She threw herself on the big fluffy bed and cried. All the pain rushing back to meet her. So, she just laid there. For how long, she wasn't sure, but the next thing she knew, she heard loud music playing and it felt as if the whole resort was shaking. "What the...?" she wiped the tears from her eyes and listened. It was so strange.. When she first arrived, almost no one was here except for a hand full of guests and the staff. Now it sounded like the place was overflowing with people. Well, in any case, it sounded like one hell of a party. Be a good chance to clear her head. Going through her clothes, she picked out some short jean shorts, and a maroon tank top to throw on. Adjusting the bow in her hair, she slipped out of her room and made her way towards the sound. Eventually, she found herself in a huge banquet hall now turned into a club just off the the mainroom.

Mio whistled. This was going to fun.

Emerald Xiloscient

Emerald glanced back at him as she caught a sudden movement, and felt a brief moment of jealousy; she herself had gotten a mouth hanging open, but this demon gave a bloody nose? She glanced over herself briefly, then over the other demon, keeping her obdervation discreet, then back to Woodstock. She saw the shrug, then glanced over the crowd again. There were far too many people for her tastes but, she assured herself, she would make it through. After all, more people here meant more people she could practice on. She hadn't been one to try to get someone to fall in love with her, but now that she had to, she found that she was sorely disadvantaged by her inexperience.

Okay, so maybe she had tried once; fat lot of good that did her. He hadn't been a human, and hadn't been in such a huge crowd. She blinked in surprise as she heard a voice, though it was fairly obvious that it was a recording; it was too familiar to someone who really listened to really be his voice. She glanced back at him, only to find him making motions. She glanced over the crowd again, to find out who he was signaling to, and quickly assumed it was the one that was headed towards them, a drink in hand. She glanced over the odd drink curiously, smelling the alcohol. Apparently he was used to having a lot of alcohol; she had smelt it before, only a whiff, when he had tried to take a drink after eating the dinner she had made.

She glanced up at the new man, unsure of what to make of the situation. She was supposed to be the host of this human; she would have to talk to the other demon later on. Rather...she wondered if the other could hold multiple conversations, like she could. She sent a brief mental message to the demon, and kept her mind open for a response: Where is your human? Even as she did, she offered a little smile to the man that had just introduced himself. "I'm fine; thank you for offering." Even if Woodstock was supposed to be her host, or perhaps because of it, she was going to be polite to his friends. There was no need to be rude, after all. "It's nice to meet you, though; I'm Emerald," she added, keeping the smile on her face. She was just going to hide her confusion until things got sorted out, or she had a chance to talk to this other demon. That was all she could do for the moment.

Eurydice

Eurydice chuckled as she obviously distressed the boy. She had seen many reactions to her appearance before, but nosebleeds were a first. This DJ seemed to be a very interesting character indeed. However, this demon, probably his original host, seemed to be annoyed with her presence. Where is your human?

Eurydice smiled to the boy, Skivv. She treated all the humans the same as long as they respected her. They were all dull so it wouldn't make sense to favor one over another. "You are too kind," she said, tussling her hair, although it was difficult to tell whether she was replying to his offer or the previous comment. "I would take... Whatever he has," she purred, pointing to the DJ. "He has good taste in music, so why not drink? And I am called Eurydice. It is your pleasure to meet me."

The demon flashed a smile to both boys, eyes finally resting upon Emerelda. He left so I was assigned to yours. You don't mind do you? He is just a human, after all. Eurydice's sharp eyes watched for her reaction before growing bored and turning to the boys. "I'm going to go dancing. Feel free to join me, I don't bite," she cooed, drumming her fingers against the equipment, sterling eyes boring into Woodstock's. With a smile spread across her face she turned to weave back into the crowd. Before she did, however, she noticed Emerelda's discomfort. "Come on, lighten up, dear. The game has only begun," she said, attempting to get the demon to relax. To her, this was all fun and games. Unknowingly, her new charge had invited Eurydice to the exact environment she was made for.

DJ Woodstock

Woodstock hesitated, missing the moment of opportunity as Eurydice left to dance with numerous others. He looked to his glass, then swallowed the contents quickly, his eyes widening a little as the combo of caffeine, sugar, and alcohol hit him a few moments later. It wasn't bad at first, just a little eye-widening, but a large grin then cracked on his face, setting down the glass, then jumping--literally--into the high-powered crowd, the crowd moving aside as he seemingly landed with ease on his hands, going from a handstand onto his feet as he broke it down to the high-energy techno pace. Several others of the dance scene tried to one-up the white boy, who would stand aside to watch, but would only be utterly pwned as Woodstock came out and broke it down. "Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!" The crowd began to chant in time, urging on the boy to even more impossible moves, at one point going from a Jerk into a backflip-barrel roll, landing only to jerk again to mock the last man who attempted to beat him, who only shook his head in shame and wonder.

While Woodstock did his own thing for a while, Skivv found Eurydice again, a somewhat mischevious smile upon his face as he handed her the drink. "Normally, I'd ask if you'd like to dance," he nodded to Woodstock, who was cooling down, getting out of the crowds to take a breather and some alcohol. "But I saw the way you were goin' after Woodstock before...he may be clueless, but I sure ain't." He gave a laugh. "If you're gonna try to...befriend him...you might have to go to him. My boy there can be a little shy when it comes to the ladies."

After that, the songs changed from high-speed to high-sensuality, the alcohol becoming an more apparent thing as more people loosened up, including that of Woodstock, who, as others danced suggestively, sat alone, taking shots of Jack, he just beginning to show the signs of a buzz...which was surprising, considering he had emptied an entire bottle by himself, which would have caused any other man to be smashed. He gave a small sigh, wondering if the proceedings of the night were really acts of love for the numerous couples there...

Emerald Xiloscient

Emerald watched the other demon leave, frowning as she debated. She shook her head, thinking back to her: I don't mind; it was just unexpected, and considering this game is supposed to decide the war...it's a pretty big deal. That's all. She wasn't entirely sure she was altogether happy about it, though. She glanced at Woodstock, who seemed disappointed that she had left him to head off to dance on her own. What was she, then? She felt another brief pang of jealousy, glancing at the floor. She debated trying to at least talk to the human, and had glanced back at him again, but then he was gone, jumping into the crowd. Soon enough, even the other human was gone.

She frowned as she looked over the crowd, Woodstack seeming to enjoy himself even as the other demon went to dance with others, though he seoon found her. While she wasn't fond of being the center of attention, it was nice to at least be noticed. Still, she kept to herself. Perhaps she'd try this drinking thing; maybe she did need to loosen up, like Eurydice had said. Humans did that to relax half the time...didn't they? She sighed and started wandering around the edges, humming to herself as she went.

Then the gears changed, and soon everyone had a partner, though she doubted that many of them were real couples. She glanced around and found Woodstock on his own, and made her way over to him, giving a smile as she did. She paused to sniff at one of the bottles she passed by, but shook her head; she just wasn't sure about this stuff, or she'd have tried it by now. She knew how it affected human minds; what if she started talking about demons and hell? She's either be thought crazy or never trusted again. She looked back at him, then over the crowd. "Seems like everyone's enjoying themselves. You haven't already worn yourself out, have you?" She debated internally, even as she was talking. She could try to ask him for a dance, like Eurydice had; maybe it would produce better results.

But she was always too passive about it. Besides that, dancing was one thing she had little experience with. She knew how, had watched humans all the time, but the only time she had ever even tried was a slow dance, and this was sure to be a little different since he had only been trying to teach her at the time."I was wondering if...maybe...you wouldn't mind a dance. I'm not very good at it...but it's something I haven't done in a while..." When was the last time she was this hesitant about it? Any other time she might have been able to be a little more assertive about it. But with so many people around, and the smell of alcohol starting to become the dominating smell, and her sudden insecurities with the new demon going after the same human, she just wasn't as sure of herself anymore. She tried to be angry at herself for being so passive so suddenly, but couldn't manage anything other than the same irritating insecurity. Nonetheless, she would just have to sit and wait for some type of response; after all, he hadn't gone afte the other demon after she had walked away.

Eurydice

Eurydice returned Skivv's smile as he handed her the drink. When he mentioned Woodstock, her eyes flickered over to the boy that was now accompanied by his original demon. Let her have some fun, Eurydice thought to herself. One mortal wouldn't make a difference to her. Her sterling eyes returned to Skivv as she took a long sip from the drink. Unfortunately for her, Woodstock's preferred drink was below par compared to his music. The Demon winked to a stranger, passing the drink off to him as she chuckled softly. The girl returning to her partner with freshly made drinks gave Eurydice a cold stare.

In truth, Eurydice was not much of a drinker. Occasionally yes, but alcohol was primarily used to forget one's troubles and Eurydice had already forgotten everything about herself. There was no need to assistance in that. "Thank you for the advice," she purred, locking gazes with Skivv again. "I'll have to break him from that habit. But for tonight, I'm just here to have fun," she laughed, tapping the man on the nose. "I'll see you a round. And don't you dare be shy." Eurydice flashed him a grin as she wove herself deeper into the dance floor. It was there she found a blonde girl dancing alone. She had seen this girl, Mio she believed, check in this morning. So she was a member of the Project. Eurydice tisked her tongue, disappointed her counterparts were ignoring the pretty girl. "Are you enjoying your stay so far?" Eurydice mewed, dancing up to the girl. "And what do you think of your Hosts? I am call Eurydice. I'll also be staying in the hotel for the month."

DJ Woodstock

Woodstock gave a smile and laugh as Emerald asked if he had worn himself out. Like hell. She then hesitantly asked him if he would like to dance. Woodstock blinked a moment, then looked behind himself to make sure she was talking to him. Seeing only the wall behind him, he turned back with a point to himself. Wait, me? He blinked with a slight blush. No one had ever asked him to dance...even if the said dancing was hardly something to be asked to do. The fact still stood that he was always one to host the music, but never one to participate in the dancing.

Realizing after a moment that she wasn't joking, he gave a slightly sheepish look, unsure as to how to initiate this dance. He swirled around the brown liquid in the tiny cup before making his decision. To hell with it all. He drank the shot down, setting it upside-down on the table, then taking her by the hand, leading her to the crowd, giving a small smile. Now...as my 'host'...are you allowed to do this? His smile became slightly mischievous. 'Cause I'm pretty sure your boss isn't gonna like what I've done with the place...the way I see it, since we're both screwed, might as well enjoy it. It may had just been the alcohol flowing now through his system, but he seemed to be utterly fine with the surroundings, putting on moves he never knew he had.

Emerald nodded as he glanced around, then pointed to himself, and it was pretty obvious what he was trying to ask. He seemed to hesitate, just as he had with the other demon. So maybe she was jealous about nothing. However, much as she hated to invide the privacy of someone else's mind, the fact was that he mostly used hand signals to talk. She wasn't likely to understand all of those signals accurately. She hesitated, unsure of her control because of her lack or rest recently, but allowed herself to open her mind, to be able to read only what could possibly be directed at her; just to understand the signals a little better. It certainly wasn't pushing herself into his head, so she felt a little less guilty about it.

Still, she wasn't entirely sure about the sheepish look he gave before looking at his drink, and then downing it. She gave a little grin as he led her towards the crowd. She made sure to keep her mind open for anything that might be relevant. Her grin widened and she glanced at the ground, then back at him, as he questioned whetehr or not she was allowed to do this. She assumed he meant not doing anything to stop the party, or dancing and trying to enjoy herself at the party. "I doubt they can say much about dancing; I won't have much trouble as far as that's concerned."

When was the last time she had danced again? Years ago? Even with her inexperience, she seemed to remember more and more the longer she stayed there. She was surprised to find that she wasn't even pretending to be enjoying herself, despite the crowd. Maybe she should start trying to dance more often. It seemed to be enough to relax herself. She laughed quietly to herself at the last thought she heard. "The boss can deal with it; there's no problem with a little bit of fun." It had always been for her hard to relax; maybe she had just needed to find a party to help. Perhaps next time she'd try the alcohol. Next time.

DJ Woodstock

Alcohol and hormones flowed freely through the crowd, taking their effect on all who participated. The dance became a throng of humans of differing races and cultures together, sensual feelings having no racism. Even Woodstock could feel as his problems and deep thought slowly melted away as the heavy alcohol finally began to settle upon his body. Over the course of the dance, he unknowingly came closer to Emerald, the liquor hazing his normal thoughts. He gave her a half-buzzed, half-sensual smile. His hands did not say it, but his eyes and thoughts had: You're very beautiful, Emerald...

This thought, though, was fueled by less-than-loving notions. It was not his male hormones. Nor had it been wholly his own thought. It was partially siphoned from a memory...a memory of...of a woman. A woman...who...he did not necessarily have feelings for, but did so for him...and she...she forced him...the thoughts strayed some as Woodstock came quite close behind her, his hands straying onto her shoulders. The hands slid sensually down to her hands, putting them in his, his breath straying unspoken words across her ear. So beautiful...

The thing that the mind-reading demon would find the most confusing, though, was that, although he made these advances upon her...they were almost automatic, a conditioned response to the senario. There was little longing to do this...in fact, his logic, blocked by alcohol, was screeching at him.

Emerald Xiloscient

Emerald did her best to hide a little slush at the thought. But, the fact was, it wasn't exactly a thought with much emotion, not much feeling for her. The alcohol, she thought, watching him carefully, but keeping a smile on her face at the same time. How was this going to turn out, with the alcohol affecting his brain, and even another thought, she believed, was starting to affect him. Good thing her mind was clear enough to keep her sane...and, hopefully, keep this from going too far. Gaining the humans love was one thing; something else, though, was not what she was here for.

She hesitated, thinking quickly, as his hands went to his shoulder, then slid down to her hands. But that didn't bother her nearly as much as the thought that his mind strayed then. Maybe this was why there seemed to be so little emotion in his thoughts about her; the memory was driving him. That had to be the thought that was driving him, driving these automatic actions. Her mind whirled; she wasn't about to get this close to a human, especially not when his actions were automatic, and not exactly his own free will.

She laughed quietly as she felt his breath, finally having come up with something. "I highly doubt this is the place or time," she said quietly. She didn't push his hands away from hers, or draw her face away but, if he didn't listen to her, she'd have to do something. But pushing him away certainly wouldn't help...maybe haul him off to his room...make him sleep it off...and then see what she could do about the hangover in the morning. That was it; she'd just be gentle, talk and work her way through it without fighting. That was it. "Perhaps later, Woodstock," she added in a whisper. Perhaps...if he listened now.

DJ Woodstock

Those words...his hands fell limp as he staggered away for a moment, holding his head in pain as the memory unleashed itself in full fury...

The woman...the woman had been his...his...his adoptive mother. She found him...pleasing. Sensually. She...she wanted him...he had been so young...barely into the threshold of manhood...many times, he remembered...it was that or punishment. God, then, then...THAT day...she had told him...that..."Perhaps later, __________"...God, but then...when later happened...her husband...he found out...she played him; played the innocent one...

He staggered and fell flat on his face, the memory pushing him down as he tried to get up again.

The pain...his screams...then...HE said something...what was it? "...if you say as much as one more fucking word, I'll kill you."

And he...was silent. Forevermore.

He managed to stand up again, then staggered back to the alcohol, not bothering to try and pour it, simply putting the bottle to his lips and tipping back. Get out, get out, GET OUT! He threw the bottle down as it was emptied, the glass cracking but not shattering. He grabbed a second bottle half-full with something, tipping it back as well, trying to escape, to run, to suppress the memories... Hell, even death would be nice... He tried to grab a third, but only succeeded in tipping it over with his drunken stupor, growling as he tried again to grab it with much failure.

Emerald Xiloscient

Emerald stifled a gasp as he staggered, falling forward. She had seen that brief flash of memory...she hadn't meant to bring something like that to his mind. She tried to help him up but by the time she managed, he had gotten himself up and headed back to the alcohol. She watched, somewhat worried, biting her lip. This certainly wasn't going to be a good memory of her, now, was it? She followed him, approaching carefully as he reached for, and tipped over, the third bottle he had been reaching for.

She glanced over him; apparently drinking only worked to suppress his memory, or he seemed to think so, at least. She picked up one of the bottles, since he seemed to have so much trouble lifting them on his own anymore. "Maybe you should be heading to bed instead...some time to yourself, perhaps..." she suggested, glancing at the ground. If that was it, then that was it; there wasn't much else she could do for him at this point. At least, there didn't seem to be. "Would you need help getting there, or are you going to try to stay here?" she asked, watching with some concern. This was part of why she hated herself for not being so willing to go into the minds of others; she had no idea if something she would do or say would set them off. She was unwilling to look into their minds for references, and so she had no way of knowing their past, good or bad.

She winced as the thought of death passed his mind. "...I'm sorry if...if I upset you...I didn't mean to..." This wasn't working well at all. She hesitated, glancing at the bottle, debating. She was sure he had had close to more than enough to drink for one night. But, at the same time...she sighed to herself offering it to him. He seemed to need them right now. He'd have a headache in the morning, but she could do something for that...perhaps keep some water and tylonel ready come morning. "Sorry..." she mumbled. This was hardly turning out the way it was supposed to...but what else was she supposed to do? Admit what she was to him? Then she'd have no chance at this competition...and she wasn't about to lose to those angels!

DJ Woodstock

Woodstock took the bottle gratefully, guzzling it, coughing as he drank it too fast. Go to bed? Sleep? And let the nightmares come again? He took another large guzzle before continuing to sign. I'm not going fucking anywhere until I have to be dragged there. As he took another gasping gulp, he thought, Or buried... As he finished the bottle, he let it slide from his hand, the glass rolling on the ground. He then continued to sign. And don't apologize...it's not your fault. It's my fault... He gave a sudden angry kick, sending the bottle careening into wall, the said bottle exploding like pixie dust. Everything's my fucking fault...

It was obvious that the ungodly amount of alcohol had taken its toll, the boy swaying where he stood, completely smashed. If Woodstock would speak, it was more than certain that his speech would be slurred, if at all understandable. It was lucky that his talented hands were not as affected as the rest of his body. He drowsily eyed Emerald for a moment, then set about trying to blindly grasp at another bottle of...something. Anything. Rat poison, if they had it.
